DJ Dale was an absolute delight to work with every step of the way. He was the perfect balance of easy-going and fun, while still being professional and ensuring we felt comfortable and prepared every step of the way. He is super hands-on (if you need it like we do!) with the planning process and has a detailed packet to help guide couples on what they need. Day-of, he really helped everyone enjoy the vibes and have an amazing time - AND he managed to play most of my 290382398 ridiculous song requests :) Value-wise, DJ Dale was a GREAT deal and we felt that we got so much more than ~just~ music and an emcee. Would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a great DJ for their event! -

We are so glad that we chose Dale as our wedding DJ! We had a few calls with Dale ahead of the wedding to discuss the plan for the wedding - he was incredibly well-organized and knowledgeable. Dale ensured that everything went smoothly and our guests had such a blast on the dance floor! Dale also checked in with my husband and I to make sure we were able to eat and get moments to ourselves, which was very appreciated. Dale was incredible from start to finish! We met multiple times prior to the wedding to ensure that our ceremony and reception were as we wanted it - and he delivered 10-fold! He kept the ceremony moving, the sound quality on the bluetooth microphones was fantastic, they were also perfect for the individual speeches during dinner, and he kept the dance floor bumping all night. We constantly have family and friends who attended our wedding talking about how great of a job he did. Highly recommend! -

DJ Dale is a top-notch DJ! Not only did DJ Dale get people on the dance floor and moving, but he kept our day moving along and transitioning perfectly. What stood out the most to us was that there was never a lull in the day - DJ Dale’s timing between events was spot-on. He was consistently checking in with us to make sure the day was flowing smoothly and always asking for our feedback. Even before the wedding day was here, communication with DJ Dale was one of the easiest parts. He always got back to us quickly and we never had to send a second email to get his attention. His consideration for us and our Big Day went above and beyond what we expected. His music choices were exceptional as well - his ability to read the room and know what songs to put on kept the party going throughout the night! We had a great experience working with DJ Dale. He was quick to respond to emails in the lead up to the event and answered any questions we had. We had two musicians play at our ceremony and he set up sound equipment for them. When the musicians decided not to use the mics, he could not have been nicer about it. For the reception, he played exactly the music we wanted, which was great! He also spoke just the right amount to help guide the event along, directing people to their tables, announcing the first dance, etc. We were in an open air venue (Ithaca Farmers Market) and the sound quality was fantastic. He made sure to check in with me throughout the night to make sure everything was how I wanted it, which was really nice. I would definitely recommend working with him! -

We LOVED working with DJ Dale. He was so on board with our less-than-traditional music requests (original recordings for the ceremony, Afrobeat at cocktail hour, and a disco hour to end the evening) and made the whole process really fun. Dale and his assistant, Bob, went above and beyond and even set up our outdoor sound system a day early so we could use it for our rehearsal dinner. At the last minute, we needed to move everything outside for covid safety, and DJ Dale was totally on board to get us dancing outdoors. We’d highly recommend him for any event!! -

Phenomenal!
DJ Dale was phenomenal! From our initial consultation call he was very accommodating and professional, we immediately knew we wanted to book him. Dale is extremely easy going and a pleasure to work with and made this part of our wedding planning a piece of cake.
We had a NYE wedding that ended well after midnight and Dale kept the party going! From the ceremony, to cocktail hour, through the entire reception- he was fantastic. We would 100% recommend DJ Dale, he went out of his way to make sure our wedding day was perfect.

DJ Dale exceeded all of our expectations during our day. His guidance and attention to detail assisted everyone from our officiant to the best man and the rest of the wedding party. His setup was completed and tested well ahead of time - both inside our venue and in another remote spot of the property. I'm late writing this but I wanted to give feedback on DJ Dale. Dale DJ'd our wedding back in July. He was fantastic. His price was very fair. He listened to everything we wanted and helped everyone have a wonderful day. He knew the crowd and everyone was out dancing all night. Helpful, flexible, kind...I'd recommend him for any event. He offered to play later than planned because everyone was still out there having fun.
Out ceremony was moved inside because of the rain. They setup quickly and it was beautiful. Just a great experience. -

Dale was so on top of everything, very professional, and very prepared. Had a organized pre-interview process so he could learn exactly what we wanted to have. He has thought of everything, and is very organized. He kept my guests dancing all night long and did seamless transitions through genres. He did an excellent job announcing and entertaining the crowd without being an obnoxious MC like many other entertainers in the area. I will defiantly refer to him for professional events as well.DJ Dale's reply:

DJ Dale was a dream to work with! He met with us months before our wedding at the venue to get a sense of how he would set up/flow. He was on top of everything and even made sure to sync up with our videographer and coordinator about sound/mics for the day. He was very professional, kind, and easy going. He helped our reception flow seamlessly and everyone was dancing right up until the end! If you want to hire a DJ who is a pro and you can just relax and trust him- DJ Dale is the way to go! On the day of the wedding he played great music, and most importantly, he held everything together and never allowed the party to drag. Many of my family and friends still talk about Dale and how great he made my reception, and my wedding was 16 months ago!
I couldn’t recommend Dale more!! -

Jacqueline Sent on 08/24/2018Dale Harrington (DJ Dale) is a fantastic DJ. We were planning our wedding at The Farmers Market in Ithaca, NY from Vancouver for a year. During that year, we corresponded with Dale entirely by email up until the day before our wedding. He was very professional and promptly responded to all of our emails. His contract for weddings also asked all the right questions, and highlighted major traditional wedding events so we didn’t have to plan a schedule entirely from scratch.
Highlights of DJ Dale’s services:
Equipment: Dale provided music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception/party. He provided extra lighting, a sound system, and wireless microphones for the speeches.He also set up a standing speaker for our ceremony.
Music (of course): Dale’s music selections were right on target. He followed our playlist, while also throwing in his own repertoire of wedding dance songs. There was a constant stream of people on the dance floor throughout the night thanks to DJ Dale’s music!
Attentive: Dale checked in briefly during dinner to check that the music volume was okay, and to give those making speeches a run-down on how to use the microphones.
Flexibility: Dale followed the general schedule I had included for him in the contract. However, he adapted well when my sister sent him an alternative schedule to include a surprise for me and my husband.
We are so happy we chose Dale as our wedding DJ, and would 100% recommend him, especially if you are hiring external vendors for a unique venue like The Ithaca Farmers Market! -
