Awesome DJ

DJ Dais was extremely professional, polite, very accessible, and incredibly easy to work with. He made sure to ask all the appropriate questions, offered helpful suggestions, and got all details clarified prior to the wedding day, so we were reassured everything would go as planned. He kept the guests dancing all night and the games he hosted were super fun and memorable. I especially loved that he was able to make a song mash-up for us for our first dance. I initially made the edits myself through online tools, but he was able to make the final product much more smooth and polished. Highly recommend him for your wedding/event!

A great DJ and very easy to work with!

DJ Dais worked our wedding back in January and we couldn't be happier with the choice. From the day we reached out for a quote to the wedding day, DJ Dais was very friendly and very easy to work with. He was extremely communicative and was always available for a chat if we had any questions. And of course, he was a GREAT DJ on the wedding day and really kept in mind our song preferences but also put his own twist.

The best part is that for our dances (first dance, mother/son, and father/daughter), I asked DJ Dais to edit the songs to only specific parts so that the transitions could be smooth and he absolutely delivered. DJ Dais was a great pleasure to work with and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ!

Stop the search, this is your DJ!!

I barely write reviews, but DJ Dais HAD to get his credit!!! DJ Dais is absolutely WONDERFUL. Please stop searching and book him. He is kind, a GREAT listener, professional, valuable, accommodating, and a great DJ period. He was always there when we had questions, whether it was via email, text, or phone call, he was always there. As every normal wedding couple, we were stressed the last two days and DJ Dais made sure everything will run smoothly. He also helped us pick out a couple of songs and also helped brainstorm some. On the wedding day, he and his assistant made sure we were comfortable with how things were going, and always checked in on us about the timeline so we can all be on the same page. When we or our guest had a song to request, he tried his absolute best to make sure he can find it so we can have a good time! DJ Dais is just the DJ everyone hopes for on their wedding day, and the DJ that every bride needs because he's just so helpful and amazing!!!

DJ Dais is the Best!

My sister and I both hired DJ Dais for our weddings. Even with two completely different venues with different vibes and needs, he catered his services perfectly in each instance. He immediately got everyone on the dance floor, and played a great variety of music to suit everyone in the room. He caters to individual tastes very well, and provides excellent, quality service. The audio quality is excellent and he is very organized, timely, and professional. We loved having DJ Dais on our wedding day, he is great at getting everyone up and dancing!

We loved working with DJ Dais for our wedding! He was so easy to work with - responsive, nice, thorough, professional, and most of all, fun! We had a blast at our reception. We received so many compliments on the music, and our guests were dancing non-stop! He also provided nice lighting for our reception, and music for our ceremony. Everything went perfectly, and I would highly recommend DJ Dais to anyone who wants a FUN wedding!! :) ( And who doesn't?)

My husband & I could not have asked for a better wedding DJ!

From the very beginning, not only was he straightforward on his pricing and what services would be included in each package, but he also spent a great deal of time listening to what we wanted and asking us thought-provoking questions along the way to be certain that he delivered the exact experience that we wanted.

He was by far our most attentive vendor, taking the extra steps of 1) requesting a venue walk-through with us, 2) offering a touch-base phone call the week of the event for any of our questions/concerns, and 3) getting there early on the day-of to prepare his equipment. He is strategic and operational; however, he is also very good at explaining his work and making sure you understand how/ why he makes the decisions the way that he does.

A few weeks before the big day, we decided on the song for our Father-Daughter dance. Since it was lengthy and had a mix of slow and fast tempo, I asked DJ Dais for some advice on whether or not it would make sense to shorten it or scrap the idea altogether. 2 hours later, he sent me an audio file with a sample of his first try at shortening the song, and BAM it was perfect! No changes needed.

All of the music and MCing went very smoothly that day; he checked in with us a handful of times throughout the night to keep us on track and created a fun atmosphere for our guests. Near the end of the night I was pulled away from the dancefloor and returned right as one of my requested songs was ending – my friend quickly ran over and asked if he could play it again because the bride missed it and he immediately replayed it to my delight!

For most of the reception, it seemed like 90% of our guests were on the dancefloor, which we had always wanted. We have received so many praises from our guests about how fun the music was – well done!!! Would absolutely recommend and hire again for our future events

We hired DJ Dais for our wedding after he did such a great job at our friends' wedding. As my husband would say, "He kept the crowd as a nice, roiling boil." We had a great mix of classic and newer songs that pleased the whole crowd. He was great at helping us organize our timeline. He incorporated special things we wanted like a soul train dance tunnel. I called him just four days before our wedding to ask him to be in charge of the sound for our ceremony, and he stepped up and even ended up having to use his own equipment because something was wrong with what we provided. He's the ideal party DJ! Very professional, responsive, reasonably priced, and easy to work with.

Dais is a true professional. From the onset of our communication, Dais made sure to ask questions and listen to what was important to us on our wedding day. He came up with solutions for everything we wanted, set clear expectations on both ends, joined us at the venue to coordinate logistics, kept us on task, and made sure we had everything worked out well in advance.

On our actual wedding day, Dais was one of the first to arrive. He took care of all of the lighting and sound for the venue. Dais also managed the flow of the entire evening, providing smooth segues throughout every step of the event. When it was dance time, Dais showed the mastery of his craft on the turntables. His technical abilities are spot on and he's playful with his transitions between genres that probably shouldn't blend, but he makes it work so as to cater to a diverse audience.

Having Dais as our DJ, I realized how integral a part of a wedding event, a DJ really is. A professional, like Dais, does way more at a wedding than one would realize. Basically, if everything runs smoothly, it's because there's a pro running things behind the scenes like Dais does. I wasn't big on spending money on linens or flowers, but having someone to ensure that the event would flow perfectly, was an excellent investment that provided me and my wife with peace of mind on our big day.

Book DJ Dais! He is the reason our wedding was so much fun. People commented all night long (and after) how much fun they had and how much they loved our DJ. DJ Dais did another wedding in which I attended, so when it was my turn to get married I knew exactly who I wanted to have. He is seriously THE BEST! You won't get wrong with DJ Dais!

Choosing DJ Dais for our wedding was one of the best wedding decisions we made! He was super attentive and considerate when we were talking about what we were looking for and liked; I couldn't even come up with genres/words to describe what I liked, but when I named a few songs, he understood immediately, and the songs for our wedding were complete ON POINT. Not only did we love it, but our guests truly enjoyed it, and we got a lot of wonderful comments after the wedding about how the music selection was excellent throughout the event. DJ Dais was referred to me by a friend and he was simply amazing! We provided a general list of music we liked and he created the most perfect playlist. The way he mixed everything together was SO fun too. Everyone was dancing and we received so many compliments on the music. In fact, a close friend of mine is going to book him for her upcoming wedding! His MC skills were great too. Everything was perfectly timed. He was also just a very sweet person. So attentive. DJ Dais is AMAZING. He was our MC/DJ extraordinaire and did the lighting for our wedding reception a couple of weeks ago.

He transformed an empty room into a beautifully warm and inviting reception area using LED uplights. When we initially met with DJ Dais, he took the time to speak with us about our vision and the type of lighting we would like. He was quick to respond to emails and provided us with sample photos when I had questions.

Months after deciding on one of the wedding packages, we decided we needed to add more lighting since the venue had forewarned us that the reception area can be a tad dark if not properly lit. DJ Dais was accommodating and gave us suggestions on how to remedy any concerns.

At the reception, he kept the pace of the events moving - there were no uncomfortable lulls but it didn't feel rushed. In addition, he had a ton of our guests on the dance floor - old and young alike.

DJ Dais was prompt, incredibly professional, and was super helpful with suggestions when we needed them. We can't say enough good things about him and we highly recommend.

DJ Dais was extremely easy to work with and super professional! We loved working with him as he was on top of everything and made our wedding day a blast. Everyone loved the music that was played and I saw people on the dance floor that I never in a million years thought I would see out there dancing. He was extremely patient with me too at the end when I was trying to get everything done--and I never felt pressured. Several times music came on that made me tear up a bit, and he managed to make my music work though it's pretty eclectic and all over the place!

I would highly recommend him to any bride as he was extremely affordable, and professional and low stress! He was so on top of everything that I didn't have to worry at all about the music :).

I wish I could give more than 5 stars on our review for DJ Dais. DJs can make or break your wedding reception and we just heard endless compliments for him throughout the evening and the day after. He's got a great sense for the crowd's energy and his song transitions are perfect.

His dance floor lighting setup also kept my future-ulcer at bay because the actual venue lighting we ordered from another company did not even come close to meeting my expectations.

Beyond the music, he was really warm and accommodating from beginning to end. We were recommended him by a friend so I had my reservations, but he seriously blew me out of the water.

Daisuke was by far one of the highlights of our wedding. Leading up to the event, Daisuke was always extremely responsive and very polite. I had a bunch of questions for him, but it never seemed to phase or bother him. He was exactly what we were looking for in a DJ - organized, not cheesy, and someone who understands music.

Even when we were running behind schedule (due to transportation arriving late), Daisuke calmly came over and informed us about the timing and asked if it was okay if we sped things up. His professionalism and calm demeanor made it so that none of our guests knew we were running behind schedule, and no one reported feeling that our reception was rushed.

In terms of his musicality, my dad, who teaches graduate music students, was thoroughly impressed. Daisuke has an incredible way of making transitions between songs seamless, you don't feel like you're being jerked around between songs and genres, even though he is incorporating a lot of styles!

Daisuke also did the lighting for our reception facility and WOW! It was stunning! The walls were naturally a light gold, but we wanted a blue and silver theme. We asked Daisuke to use blue uplighting to cancel out the light gold walls and he did a phenomenal job setting it up.

I would recommend Daisuke to anyone, and already have passed his name along to quite a few of our friends. You will not regret booking him, he'll make sure you're taken care of and feel calm and relaxed all night!

Daisuke was very professional and attentive. I had a detailed playlist and cued music for the processions and recessional and Daisuke took the time to listen to my instructions and the ceremony turned out perfectly. Throughout the night, Daisuke knew what music to play to keep the party going on the dance floor. Im so glad we chose Daisuke as our dj and would gladly recommend him for others!

After talking to several DJs, we decided to go with DJ Dais due to his professionalism and great personality. DJ Dais was amazing! He made sure any questions or concerns we had were answered and taken care of.

On the day of our wedding, DJ Dais came early to set up. The uplights and cake spotlighting were perfect. We gave him a general idea of the songs we wanted, and he nailed it with his song selections. Everyone enjoyed the music!

PS: If you're really nice, he might even breakdance for you!

DJ Daisuke was REALLY helpful and professional throughout the whole planning process and especially so at the wedding. He really kept the reception flowing when it came to the dances, cake cutting, etc. He listened to everything we wanted (and didn't want) and really was able to read the dance floor to keep it full all night! DJ Dais was the perfect DJ/MC for my wedding. My wife and I met with DJ Dais at his offices to prepare and work out the details and expectations. From that point we continued communication via email (He was in OC and we were in LA). Communication from DJ Dais was prompt and professional. There was not a point where I was left feeling unsure.

On the days leading up to our wedding DJ Dais coordinated with our venue as well as the event coordinator that our venue had assigned us. He pretty much worked with them to communicate our needs and expectations which alleviated any stress from us having to work out the details. DJ Dais scouted the venue and made sure that he was 100% prepared for the day of our wedding.

On the day of our wedding DJ Dais provided not only the DJ and MC services but he also setup our entire wedding party with audio pick ups that broadcast our ceremony, vows, and speeches flawlessly. There was not one hiccup and I strongly suggest DJ Dais if you do not want to have to worry about your DJ/MC/AV during your wedding.

I will definitely use DJ Dais for any other parties or events in the future and always refer him to my friends!

DJ Dais's ability to read the crowd and to know what they were responding and dancing to was unbelievable. My daughter and son-in-law were so happy with his services and felt the value and expertise he brought was awesome! They especially enjoyed when he stepped from behind the turntable and took a "Break Dance" spin on the dance floor! My only tiny complaint was he forgot to announce the Pastor with the prayer before dinner. No biggie though . . . it may have been a late addition to the program and we take responsibility if it was left off. We would definitely hire DJ Dais again!

My husband and I had our wedding budget laid out and set in stone before we started the actual planning process. DJ Dais appealed to us because of his excellent reviews and reasonable prices. And you know what? He was worth it AND MORE.

He came early on the wedding day (12.29.12) to scope out the venue, set up, communicate with the catering manager. Also, we had to move our ceremony indoors at the last minute, and he worked with the venue to creating a beautiful ceremony room with his lighting.

DJ Dais was awesome at making sure the event went smoothly, and on schedule. He was the best wedding coordinator (not his job, but it was like having a coordinator! and DJ! The light set up was beautiful, and the feel of the room was exactly how we envisioned it. His sound system was great, and he had everybody dancing to the end of the evening.

Also, he was incredibly easy to work with and so nice!!!! You can't ask for more - he is the DJ you want at one of the most important celebrations of your life.

Dias was our DJ for our reception in a French restaurant, and while I haven't worked with other DJs before, I have been to some weddings, where I thought they didn't perform that well.

Dias, on the other hand, exceeded our expectation in all aspects. He was professional and polite when we first met up with him and very quick in reply whether our communications were via email or phone. His delivery was outstanding. He knows what he's doing and keeps the venue very clean. You will not see a lot of cables running around.

He's not the cheapest around, but I truly believe you get what you pay for, and for what we got, we thought it was great value.

I highly recommend Dias to anyone who is looking for a DJ.

DJ Dais' professionalism and service was excellent. He was always on top of organizing what needed to be done for the event. Working with him was an ease, and we appreciated how he sought to understand what we desired for our wedding (the song request sheets he gives the bride/groom are very helpful and they include: requests for ceremony music, reception music, bridal entrance, bouquet toss, etc.).

DJ Dais was also an excellent MC, and he kept the wedding running smoothly. Everyone was very pleased with how well he kept guests aware of the evening's events.

DJ Dais' is genuine, friendly, and dedicated. We greatly appreciated his service.

DJ Dais is an amazing and wonderful DJ! We booked him for our March 2012 wedding in March 2011 after a face to face meeting. His contract and pricing is very easy to read/understand. He was easy to work with and answered all my emails/questions promptly. He has worksheets so that the bride can fill out song requests, names etc which were very handy. Instead of picking out all the songs i wanted and did not want, i just gave a few examples of what i liked and let him handle the rest.

On the day of the wedding, a snow storm hit us! 36" dumped on the day of my wedding. You cannot believe the stress I was going through on the day of, I was SO WORRIED my vendors would not be able to make it through the snow! But DJ Dais was there and I was so relieved that he made it. Everything went smoothly and as planned during the reception. He kept the party going all the way until the end! I would definitely recommend DJ Dais to any bride!!

We used DJ Daisuke for our wedding day. Beginning with our first meeting we knew this DJ was a complete professional. We met in his office, not a Starbuck's like many other vendors. We knew after this first meeting we were booking Dais and couldn't wait. At our event he arrived early for setup. He did a mini setup with wireless mics for the ceremony with no issues. During our grand entrance there were some changes in the order with our bridal party and Dais made sure everything was perfect before announcing everybody. All of the events went smoothly and Dais was great on announcements. He was not over the top or cheesy. (Exactly what we wanted). Dais played only the music we asked for. We had a pretty extensive do not play list that Dais stuck too. We were roped into playing a few of the songs we had on the list, but Dais asked the bride multiple times if it was okay before proceeding. If you are looking for a DJ at a reasonable price who will do everything you ask and more pick DJ Dais.

DJ Dais was AWESOME!

1. He was extremely flexible about coming to me and my husband who live in the San Fernando Valley instead of asking us to come to him - which was really appreciated.

2. He helped us pick out songs and his experience was extremely helpful.

We got so many compliments about him from everyone: Grandparents, Parents/Aunts/Uncles, Cousins/friends and even our wedding venue complimented at how great he was. He kept everyone up and dancing and transitioned extremely well. My mother said that he was the best DJ she had ever seen at ANY wedding (and she's a really tough critic).

Brides...save yourself the time and just hire DJ Dais! He is based in OC but we hired him for our Palm Springs wedding and he was awesome!

His prices are reasonable, he is very professional and nice...and most importantly...he played great music all night!

We planned to give him a long list of songs to play all night b/c we were nervous someone else would not be able to understand the relaxed, fun, casual (non cheesy) vibe we were going for...but we ran out of time. We gave him a few of our favorites and he understood exactly what we wanted and nailed it! He showed up on time, was very professional, and fun!

There are no hidden fees or upcharges as with some wedding vendors. He was very clear about all cost up front and delivered exactly what he we wanted...an awesome evening! We didn't have to worry about a thing.

I've been to some weddings where the DJ's seemed to think it was his time to make funny jokes on the mic, get a little of the spot light, and play their own style of music. DJ Dais was perfect and did a great job of keeping a flow to the evening with music without taking over with talking.

Just give him a few details about your wedding (i.e. formal, casual, lots of older people, hipsters, special dances, must have or must not have songs) and he will take care of the rest. We found him on Yelp, but am reviewing him here b/c I want to share my great experience with other brides. Great Value, very responsive, professional, and GREAT DJ!

I am very proud of myself for choosing Dais as the DJ for my wedding in August. I asked around for recommendations on DJs and got quotes from various places. One day I came accross a review of Dais on Yelp and I was interested in hearing more about his sevice. After our meeting, he seems very professional and knowledgeable, and his price was the best that I've seen. I chose the package that included 6 hours of Dj-ing, up-lights for the entire ballroom, and monogram bride& groom names on the dance floor. After booking with him, anytime that I needed to speak to him he was readily available. He is very prompt on returning phone calls and replying to emails. On the day of the wedding, he set everything up perfectly. The games that he hosted was very fun. He is also the MC for our wedding. His voice projected very well and we got compliments from family members of how nice our DJ's voice is. Overall, I couldn't be more happy with Dais.

DJ Dais made our wedding the best party we have ever been to. He kept the flow of the party going perfectly and played a ton of music that we love! He was great at making sure everyone who needed a mic had one in their hand at the right moment. He really kept the flow of the evening right on track. Since we live in Florida, we had never actually met Dais in person before our wedding, but we had heard so many great things from our friends that we trusted he was the right guy for the job. Corresponding with him through email and phone was the just the same as meeting him in person. He always replied to emails and phone calls in a timely manner and was fantastic at helping us find the right songs for the right moments. When we finally met him the day of the wedding he was so sweet and an awesome addition to our wedding team. We would recommend Dais to anyone and everyone. He was so FANTASTIC!!!

DJ Dais rocked the house! Very good at getting people out on the floor. Plus, he is really easy to work with and was extremely responsive to our questions. Very good at handling the audio at the ceremony and rolling with the last-minute additions we had as far as people making toasts at the reception, etc. Good lighting too on the dance floor. DJ Dais was the DJ at our wedding. On the most important day of our lives, DJ dais made it even better! He worked harder than anyone else on the day of our wedding. He came to the venue several hours early to set up, to set up everything with time, assess perfection to the last detail and was meticulous about his job. He worked with me during the time before the wedding to make sure that he met our demands in terms of what kind of music we wanted. Since we had some special music that we wanted, we provided him with some CD's with this music. He incorporated it perfectly! He was easy to work with and quite frankly, he was loveable! He was soooo accomodating to me and my guests. He was pleasant, professional, kind, entertaining, hard working and flexible. There were some changes we made during the wedding and he was easy to work with and accomodating...I would hire him again for any even. He was wonderful. He came early and stayed late. He did not complain. He worked hard and diligently. Everyone enjoyed him!!! I vouch for Dj Dais any day!!!

They say that there are certain factors that can make or break a wedding, music is by far one of those factors. THANK GOODNESS FOR DAIS! Dj Dais was completely professional from the moment we met. He even had paperwork to help lead us through the music selection process. At the reception it was clear that he had really listened to all the requests that my husband and I had made. He followed the timeline we gave him to a tee, and did a great job announcing all the different events, such as the bouquest toss. Our wedding had around 300 people and it was a mix of every culture under the sun and Dais did a wonderful job of incorporating the middle eastern music we had given him and had EVERYONE dancing! Dais receives 10 stars from us!

From start to finish, DJ Dais has helped make our wedding a pleasant experience. When we first went to check out his music at a local bar/club - we were happy with his selections so we decided to choose him, and were very happy that we did!

He was very courteous and professional - giving us our invoices with the breakdowns and making sure we understood each charge.
The worksheets he provided made it easy to decide which songs to pick for the wedding. :)

And best of all, when my coordinator pointed out that our vendor already provides lapels and mics, he agreed to refund that portion with absolutely no complaints! I would recommend DJ Dais to anyone who wants a pain-free music experience at their wedding.

Dais was a fantastic DJ at our wedding. We met with him prior to our wedding to disucss what we were looking for in regards to music during the wedding and at the reception. He listed to what we wanted for both and he delivered. He didnt have a song list to choose from which made it easy for us. He wanted to know what songs would we want to hear and not limit ourselves to a list of songs that he has as a professional DJ. During the preparation period he even sent us a sample of our entrance song which needed some editing. Not only did he edit the song to the precise time frame we were looking for but he also offered some suggestions on other songs that we were requesting. Outstanding!!
Our wedding started at 4pm and Dias was there setting up by 1pm. That's preparation. He went over the wedding list with me one more time and spoke to our wedding official on cues to follow. The wedding music and progression was problem free. All song cues were followed w/out mistakes.
Our wedding reception was a hit and a lot of our guest loved the music we choose and commented on our DJ as a good choice. My wife and I think so too!
I would recommend Dias for anyones's party or wedding event.

Daisuke was the best! From our first meeting and on, he was always SO helpful and responded quickly to us when we had questions... Which was pretty often! He worked with us to customize our personal time line so that it was what we wanted. And the MUSIC! We had a full dance floor at our wedding the entire night! The sound quality was amazing. Not only was he a great DJ, but he really seemed to understand how important that day was for us and ended up being our "go-to" person with other wedding questions! We could not have selected a more perfect DJ for our ceremony and reception. Dais was not only professional but he was personable and got our crowd dancing. It was a real pleasure being able to work with DJ Dais for our Nov 2010 wedding. He was very easily reached, quick with responses and very organized. He provided us with templates for our reception timeline and how and when we like our song choices to be played. It made our job worry free which is a huge plus when there is such a huge empahsis on detail when planning a wedding. The reception itself ran smoothly and he kept the dance floor going all night. DJ Dais was the first DJ my wife and I ever worked with and we found him outstanding. From our initial meeting to the end of our wedding he was first class. He knows all sorts of different music and had played great music throughout the night. He also helped us with the timing and structure of our wedding from the first dance to the last dance and kept the party and music flowing all night long. He had all the music we requested as well as old classics and new hit songs. When we met DJ Dais, we were at a point of pure panic looking for a DJ. The budget for our wedding was so tight that we were considering not even hiring a DJ and just playing our own music from an Ipod. Our primary concern at that point was cost.
A friend introduced us to DJ Dais and we were so pleasantly surprised by how professional he was at our initial meeting. He was prompt, polite, and extremely organized. When we found out how much he was charging, which was well below half of all of the other estimates we got from other DJ's, we were overjoyed. We were even able to afford event lighting, which made a huge difference at our outdoor wedding. DJ Dais was extremely attentive during the planning stages before the wedding. He responded quickly to e-mails and even met up with us a few days before the wedding to go over the song lists.
On the day of the wedding he showed up several hours early to set up. He was dressed very professionally and made all of the announcements and introductions in a very classy way. He was able to determine from the song requests that we gave him prior to the wedding what our tastes were. He was able to fill the entire evening with songs that we loved and that our guests couldn't help but dance to.
We did not think that it was possible to find a DJ who was as friendly, professional, and talented as DJ Dais at such an affordable rate. DJ Dais was truly heaven sent. My husband loved working with DJ Dais so much that he hired him for a work event a few months later. Again, DJ Dais did not miss a beat. I would recommend DJ Dais to anyone, for any event!

Dais was fun to work with. He is very professional yet friendly and made us feel really comfortable from the first time we met him. I think this is an underrated point but he had the best booth setup of the DJs we interviewed. His whole booth is hidden behind a short wall so the guests can't see anything on his DJ table at all. That kept the reception area looking very clean. We are not huge music fans and he did a great job to help us pick out music for the wedding. He had a difficult task in catering to our diverse crowd and did a good job of it. As someone who works in the A/V industry I appreciate that he has some high quality audio equipment. His prices were also unbelievable. We were able to get everything we wanted and still add uplighting to fit within our budget. Thanks Dais.
