Best wedding DJ ever

AL was the perfect choice for our March 2022 wedding at Azaleana Manor in Orange Park. He listened to everything that we wanted. The music for both the ceremony and reception were perfect. The dancing and DJ makes all the difference at a wedding. Our guests are still telling us this was the best time they have had at a wedding that they can remember.

Alan is Awesome.

Alan is a true professional and a master of his craft. We attended a wedding a few years ago and asked Alan to handle our daughter's wedding based on that awesome experience. He had been away from DJing for a while, but his performance at our event was flawless. He was accommodating but willing to share his opinion, and he really kept things moving during the after party. He planned the elements meticulously but also improvised as the party went on, and was careful to consult with us when choices needed to be made in the interest of time. We are really glad he handled our event.

Wedding Party

DJ Connection is a fantastic DJ Service. Having been a DJ myself for some 40 years, when I decided to marry, I wanted a real professional to do my own event. Al with DJ Connection is that professional who knows what he is doing! He has worked at many popular venues in Jacksonville and done many weddings over decades. He put on a great show for us at our event and I highly recommend him!

Alan was awesome! I called him last minute and he was very responsive. The music went perfectly with the vibe of the afternoon and he did an excellent job MC'ing when needed.

With everything else is going on, don't forget to work on your music list. Don't wait until the last 2nd to figure out all of the different music selections that you want for the wedding reception and ceremony. Amazing DJ. He was constantly checking in to make sure I was still good with The schedule. Switches gears on the fly whenever I needed to add something.Great experience. The DJ makes the reception so make sure you hire these guys.

Alan was the best DJ ever! We are so happy with our choice, he kept the whole day so organized and all the guests on the dance floor. He also gives great advice on how things should flow for the wedding day. We couldn't have asked for a better dj, and we will definitely be reccomending him to everyone, thanks again Alan!!!!

Alan made my son's wedding fabulous! He not only provided the music for the entire event, but acted as an event coordinator by keeping things moving and making everything happen right when it should. He recommended things, like the Teddy Bear Toss, that made the event memorable. He was personable, outgoing, and friendly. Our guests had a great time because of him. We recently attended another wedding and they didn't have someone like Alan helping them and boy you could tell, as the evening went far too long and the guests were starving as they waited. We have had so many people tell us that our wedding was the absolute best one they'd ever been to, and I give Alan a lot of the credit for that.

Alan was amazing! He helped me finish up my center pieces when I was behind and trying to finish get things set up. He also kept me in the loop of everything before the wedding started. He took charge of the rehearsal as well my husband and I loved him. He was beyond the best. It was like as if we knew him for years as friends. He was the best. He made the wedding and the reception so much fun. We have had so many comments on how much fun our guests had and this DJ is one of the top reasons it was so much fun. I would highly recommend him for any event you have. You will not be disappointed.

Alan Franco is a very knowledgeable & accommodating gentleman who is unlike any of the other "DJ" services I reviewed in my research for planning my wedding. He does his DJ business full time as opposed to most of the other people I called upon who do it as a "side business" on weekends. He knows exactly what questions to ask and how to tell you the "flow of the people" should go to keep the party going for your ceremony and your reception. He is also a Master of Ceremonies which means he can coordinate the show for you if you don't have a "wedding day coordinator" and if you do he can coordinate with him/her.

Allen was the perfect guy for our event, He moved everyone through the process flawlessly. His expirence with weddings and music was a great asset. He had our group laughing and dancing all nite long. Allen worked with the event planner and family to make this wedding a lasting memory, Professional, well groomed, kind and friendly with amazing personality. Not one item went out of sink. Smooth tunes included country, swing, R&B and modern rock. The dance floor stayed packed. Allen was amazing at MC'ing the fun items which included the flower toss and garder toss, the Father Daughter dance. We cant thank him enough for the job he did for us. Al was amazing! He has so much experience in this industry, so he made it very easy for us. He thought of all the things that we didn't even think to ask, and our day went incredibly smoothly thanks to his precision planning. He is excellent at reading the crowd as a means to know when to move on and when to keep dancing. With Al in the driver's seat, we didn't have to worry about anything.

Alan was incredible to work with and I would recommend him for any event. He listened to our ideas and professionally offered his plans on how to make them a reality. At the wedding he did a great job as master of ceremonies and flexed as necessary so everything ran smoothly. We were hesitant to get a DJ, but he was definitely worth it.

DJ Alan was one of the best decisions that my wife and I made when it came to our vendors. He went above and beyond what was asked and expected of him for our celebration. For example, he injured his calf beforehand and was barely able to walk yet instead of passing us off to someone we hadn't ever met (which he easily could have done) he grinded through the pain without thinking twice. His years of experience definitely showed when it came time to put people where they needed to be. The flow of the wedding was perfect thanks to him. He was very flexible with our decisions and requirements of him, all of which were talked about in two separate meetings before the wedding so we didn't have any added stress. The last example, and my personal favorite, was his on the spot improvisation with the garter ceremony and playing very fun music. I think it was one of the hits of the entire wedding!!!! If you ever need a DJ, you get much more than just that if you hire him. You get a party starter, an MC, an organizer, a crowd pleaser, & a professional. Highly recommended! Two thumbs way up!

As a first time Bar Mitzvah Mom, Al helped tremendously! He was very responsive, detail-oriented, he kept me organized, and had great suggestions for making my son's event special. The kids and adults had a blast and thought Al was great.

Al Franco was fabulous. We debated hiring a dj as we are not big dancers and didn't want l a lot of loud, obnoxious music. After talking with Al, I realized that he is so much more than a record spinner--he would also be the master of ceremonies for the whole reception, leaving us free to enjoy the party! He was responsive to emails and calls, and patient with questions. The music was perfect for the hors d'oeuvres time, meal time and dancing: nothing loud or obnoxious-just perfect! He kept everything in order, on time, and fun. He is experienced, professional, and charming!

I cannot say enough good things about Alan. He was a pleasure to work with, offered great advice, and did a wonderful job making our reception exactly as we wanted it to be. Our pre-wedding meeting with Alan put all of our minds at ease and we were able to go into the weekend knowing the reception was in good hands! Most impressive of all, Alan came down with bronchitis the morning of my wedding and still showed up, did his job like a true professional, and I don't think one person at the reception knew he was ill. We put our trust in him and he came through for us. You can tell he loves what he does, and his clients. More than one person at the reception asked me if he was a friend of ours based on the warmth with which he conducted the reception. I highly recommend Alan's services!

I really cannot give a stronger recommendation for a DJ/emcee for a wedding (or any event) than Alan Franco with DJ Connections. He more than met our expectations, and was a real contributing factor to the atmosphere we wanted to create for the reception at our daughter's wedding. He was extremely professional, the sound quality was excellent, he accommodated our musical suggestions and supplemented with his own great choices. He really helped make the wedding a special day.

Mr. Franco did an amazing job for my wife and my wedding! He took so much pressure off me and handled the music for the ceremony and the reception party. I have worked with many DJ's for my work in the past and Mr. Franco was as professional as it gets. We met up the day before the wedding and he took me through every little detail you could think of. He was so kind as well as strait forward. I have never met someone who takes as much pride in his work than DJ Franco. I would strongly recommend him for any type of event that requires a DJ. My wife and I were so luckily and privileged to have him involved in our wedding. Not only is he great at what he does musically but he his simply a great guy. Mr. Franco was very easy to work with and he is number 1 in my book when it comes to handling his business.

Alan was a pleasure to work with. He met with my son to get an idea about what music and games he wanted. And he met with me to offer suggestions and to assure that our affair was everything we envisioned. Our guests danced the entire night. Both the adults and kids had a fantastic time. Alan did an amazing job with our ceremony and reception music! He helped us pick the perfect songs for the ceremony and reception, but also played our requests at the reception. 50th Wedding Anniversary Party - After our first meeting I knew I had made the right decision calling Al from DJ Connection. Totally professional, he not only had a sizeable catalog of music but also made some great suggestions. He was a fantastic Master of Ceremony and helped keep the event on schedule at the same time kept things fun and lighthearted. He had a great rapport with my guests but was never perceived as the center of attention. My parents were absolutely thrilled with him and I had many guests tell me how great the music and the DJ were. I would have no question using him for any future events!

Alan did such a wonderful job with our Renewal of Vows anniversary reception in 2012 that as soon as my son announced his engagement, I called Alan to ask him for an encore peformance at my son's wedding reception. Alan out-did himself by not only keeping the reception running smoothly, but he brought my shy and introverted son out of his shell so much that friends, family and Bride were amazed and delighted...what a great time we had! We have one more child not yet married, so you can bet as soon as an engagement is announced, I'll be calling for DJ Connection again. :)

Alan Franco of DJ Connection was absolutely fantastic during our wedding reception. He covered details that we did not even think of and prepared us very well for the evening. I would certainly encourage anyone to consider Alan for their most important event of their life and I'm sure you will be impressed. Alan was so great! He was so helpful with our song selections and did a great job of keeping the party going. There wasn't a dull moment and everything moved along flawlessly. We had so many people asking who he was after the reception was over. I would use him again in a heartbeat!

When planning a wedding, it is vital to set the right tone, and music is one of the key areas to accomplish this. Choose wisely, as people are not likely to remember the cake, but they will remember the music.

For my husband and I, Gypsy Moon was the perfect addition to our brunch wedding! The beautiful acoustic gypsy jazz added the extra touch of elegance to our garden setting. We had our ceremony and reception at the Umlauf Sculpture Garden and so we didn't want our music choice to overpower the serene garden feel. Gypsy Moon worked perfectly for creating the right atmosphere. The dynamic acoustic jazz duo was very professional and flexible. They even played "our special song" for us as I walked down the aisle instead of the typical "wedding march" theme. It could not have been more perfect!

Planning a wedding is hard work, and you never can predict what the day will look like when all the pieces finally come together. I didn't dwell on song choice and I left a lot of the creative decisions up to Linda and Ray, which as a bride is both relieving and scary at the same time. My trust was well rewarded! They exceeded my expectations and I could not have been more pleased with how the event turned out! It was wonderful.

I have since learned that they are also highly versitile, as I have seen them play at other community events (festivals, plays, etc...) and Linda has an amazing voice!!

Alan was an amazing DJ!! When we were planning our wedding, my husband and I really wanted to have a great DJ because they set the tone for your entire reception and we just really wanted to have the dance floor packed all night. And Alan definitely didn't disappoint us! We had met with other DJs and so when we met with Alan we knew he really got what we wanted. He's a little more pricey than other DJs but trust me - you get what pay for as well as piece of mind - which is priceless for brides to be. I knew I didn't have to worry as far as the DJ was concerned. At the reception I don't think they had even finished bringing out the first course before the dance floor was packed and the tables were empty! And it pretty much stayed that way the whole time! It was so great to be able to step back and see everyone having such a fun time! Alan was great at reading the crowd and playing songs that would keep people dancing. We have a pretty fun and crazy crew anyway but Alan really added to it and made it so that people are still talking about it! :) We got so many compliments on the Alan during the wedding and are still getting them now! Everyone had such a fun time and it was exactly what we wanted!

Alan was the DJ at our wedding on Saturday (October 15, 2011). We actually went above our budget on DJ to get Alan and we are so glad! He had the dance floor packed for almost 5 hours straight. People were raving to us that night and the day after about what a great DJ he was. The DJ was one of the most important decisions we made about the wedding because a DJ pretty much makes or breaks a reception. Hiring Alan as DJ was a great decision!

I am so happy I chose to go with Alan Franco at DJ Connection! Everyone had a great time and still comments on how awesome he was. We had a brunch reception with no alcohol, and I was not expecting anyone other than my friends to dance...Alan had everyone dancing! The music he selected was perfect! Alan also has excellent showmanship, he knew exactly what to say to introduce or transition to the next reception event. It's easy to recommend Alan because he made our Wedding Reception great!

Alan Franco is an awesome DJ that provides excellent DJ services, keeps the event organized and running smoothly, and adds special touches to make your event more memorable. My husband and I hired Alan for our wedding in 2009. All of our guests complimented him on how he "kept the party going". In addition to providing DJ services, he also acts as an MC by helping coordinate things throughout your event. This was a huge help at our wedding, because it was large. For example, he would make sure the photographer, wedding planner, and caterer were all ready before announcing the cake cutting. We would recommend Alan in any event where you are looking to have a great time and get high quality performance!

Very helpful at setting the motion. At one point I looked over to tell him we were ready and he immediately responded. Music was amazing and there was lots of fun. Overall we are very happy with our DJ choice.

Alan did an unreal job at our wedding. very professional, on time and right on it down to the carriage ride at the end. We would refer him to any couple for a wedding or any party goers as well. he is a good guy as well and knows his songs, he is an established DJ and can pick any type of song you are looking for from his song library of over hundreds of thousands of songs. From the first time that we met with Alan, we knew that he was the DJ for us. He was professional and he knows weddings!. On our wedding day everything was perfect from the ceremony to the reception! My daughter had a large wedding in Orlando on June 5,2010. Alan Franco with Spindoctor was FANTASTIC!!!!!!! Really that doesn't say enough on how wonderfull he was. There was NEVER anytime when the dance floor was not full except when they did the money dance - it was his idea and my daughter made 232.00 and the groom made 96.00. Ask him about it - it was so much fun. A good start for their honeymoon. He had every family members name correct and the music was great. A band would not have been as good. I go beyond highly recommending him for your special occasion. You will not be sorry. His prices are great also.

Alan was remarkable- he exceeded our expectations and those of our guests. He played excellent music and read the crowd perfectly. There was not a single time during the reception when the dance floor was empty (not even during dinner). When the night came to an end no one wanted to leave. He was professional, knowledgeable, and had an excellent persona (no cheesy wannabe DJ voice). If I lived in St. Augustine he would be my go to DJ for all occasions!

Alan was wonderful to work with. He actually gave us some ideas that we liked better then our own. He made sure everything ran smoothly. He even pronounced our wedding parties names all correctly and we had some difficult names! Would highly recommend

Matthew White did a wonderful job at our wedding at The Ribault Club in Fort George Island, FL. He kept the crowd on the dance-floor and played great selections. His motto is "classy but not stuffy." Alan was everything you could ask for in a DJ. There was no need for a planner as he ran the reception and kept things going. He played the perfect variety of music and kept everyone engaged. He was very professional and was everything he promised he would be, if not more. There are cheaper alternatives to Alan, but you will not get the experience of a quality DJ who can read the crowd and make the proper adjustments to keep the flow going. I highly recommend! He made the reception stress free :)

Our DJ for our wedding was Alan and he was great! We met with him 2 times before the day of the wedding but he was available anytime to answer any questions we had. He kept our wedding moving and kept all of our guests on the dance floor!!

Allen and DJ Connection added a nice touch to our special day. His attention to detail was great and his professionalism was top notch. Little details other than the music was his assistance in keeping the reception flowing smooth. He added a personal touch here and there to make it a unique experience. I would say he made it a 'party' rather than a wedding reception. I always say you get what you pay for and he was worth it.

Matthew was the DJ for our wedding, as well as my sister in law's wedding, so he had already come recommended. He did a truly incredible job being the DJ/Emcee of our wedding. He is so professional, and truly a great value. He was very responsive to our needs at the reception. My only complaint would be he is not very quick to respond to emails, but he truly came through at the reception. We received multiple compliments on how fabulous he was, and I would book him again in a heartbeat!

My family and I were extremely pleased with the over all success of my husband's surprise 60th birthday party. I have to credit this to Alan as the entertainment followed by the food are the most important pieces of putting an event together as far as I am concerned.

Alan and I had many telephone conversations about what my needs were for the type of music my husband would like. We also communicated frequently by emails. At no time did Alan indicate that he was unable to speak at that time and never seemed rushed.

Alan's professionalism was impeccable even to the point he wanted to know if what he had planned to wear was appropriate for my husband's party. Even the night of the party we changed the type of music because of the guests that attended and were requesting music. Alan checked with me to see if that was OK. He went above and beyond in every way.

Writing this review a year later and looking back, Matt White from DJ Connection did so many things I can't imagine another DJ doing without major issues. Due to pre-wedding stress and hassles, we didn't get our music list and CD to Matt until the day of the wedding. Conversing with him, he has great aptitude to orient himself with the taste of the crowd, and before we knew it, my father was up dancing disco and took the floor!

Matt showed up early and had himself set up before we knew it. For our ceremony, he even provided a wireless microphone for the officiant as a standard service. My wife's niece sang a beautiful song for the entrance, and he provided wireless mic's for that as well.

Sound quality was great, although it took a few seconds for Matt to get a final sound balance when the singing started (it cut out a couple times and was low at first). All our tests before the event were great, but something happened as soon as things started.

Overall, Matt was extremely professional, and I would recommend him to anyone. You pay for what you get when it comes to DJ's, and I wouldn't change a thing!

He didn't live up to his promises of being the best in the business. After spending 2 hrs with him, giving him multiple lists and a cd of the special music we wanted and a detailed timeline, he informed us the day before the wedding (and only b/c my wedding planners called!) that he had lost our cd. The day of he would not communicate with our wedding coordinators, only myself or my husband, interupting our dinner and photos. He completely forgot to play the special songs we'd given him for our entrance and announcement of the bridal party and our cake cutting - instead he just talked. He told us how great his computer music bank is, but when my flowergirl asked for britney spears he only had one song. The worst was that at 7pm he told my husband he was packing up (the ceremony went till 9pm), and that even though we had discussed the final price and times multiple times, he said we'd have to pay him overtime - at which point we couldnt really argue. He wasn't the worst dj ever I'm sure, but he was certainly our worst vendor and I wouldn't suggest him to a friend.
