Willie had the right vibes and made the wedding so easy and fun!
We hired Willie as our DJ/MC and it went perfectly as I imagined! He met with is beforehand and I was a little bit of an over worrier. Willie reassured me he has done many wedding and so I trusted him and he worked with the day-of coordinator and made it such an awesome wedding! He definitely asked us if there were specific details we wanted to include and what not. Would highly recommend having Willie as a DJ! Most importantly, he's a great communicator which is great for his MCing as well as just planning communication.
Wanted to mention, for music, he asked him to play 2000s hip hop and some special requests and he adapted and made it such a wonderful time on the dance floor! Also, his uplighting is great and made the venue look very nice!
Willie is very professional and a great communicator. He made the atmosphere/vibe amazing and made us feel cared for. Thanks Willie! -

We were absolutely thrilled to have DJ Big Willie Style for our music! Even from the beginning when we had our initial phone call, we could tell that Willie was very knowledgeable and professional. He was responsive from start to end and was flexible with our timeline even on the day of the wedding. As every couple goes through the thick of wedding planning, we heavily relied on our vendors to execute their respective duties and Willie excelled beyond our expectations! We gave him our overall music genre/vibe and he nailed it while accommodating our music choice for certain parts of the wedding. DJ Big Willie is the best! He tried his best to be flexible with our budget and made the planning process smooth and reliable. I had many small announcements I wanted him to do through the night and he didn't miss a single cue. MOST importantly, he made the dance floor LIT the whole night! Many of my guests were raving about the music, which kept everyone on the dance floor. It was a perfect balance between what I wanted and him just reading the room. -

Willie was a phenomenal DJ & MC at our wedding! Leading up to our big day he was super on top of making sure we had all our music dialed in for each part of the wedding. He also provided a very helpful sheet that allowed us to organize what music we wanted and when we wanted it to be played. My wife & I worked really hard on what music we wanted and provided Willie with a playlist to inspire him and he absolutely nailed it the day of! Our dance floor was packed the whole night! Willie DJ'd my sister's wedding and from that day forward, I knew I had to also have him DJ my future wedding. This feeling was of course mutual from my then boyfriend, now husband. The dance floor was popping the whole night without a dull moment and we wanted that same vibe at our wedding.
Willie was very responsive to emails and our inquiries and everything up to the wedding went without a hitch. Everyone loved the music as he and his partner could definitely tell the vibe of the group. We had a wide array of music preferences at our wedding and weren't really quite sure which people would be on the dance floor and so we ended up giving him a long playlist of recommendations. He totally understood us and the vibe and kept the dance floor going all night.
Prior to our wedding, a friend mentioned that she had recently attended a wedding that Willie DJed and that it was the best/most fun wedding/dancing at a wedding she had experienced. My fiance was secretly so happy she randomly mentioned that to him, but kept it a surprise that he was also DJing our wedding.
If you want a fun filled night with great music, then the only choice you should make is DJ Willie. I'm definitely recommending him to all my friends and family for future events. -

My husband and I are about to celebrate our first anniversary - and we can still remember how courteous and responsive Willie was during our preparation. It was important for us to have someone understand our cultural traditions (Money Dance and Line Dancing). Additionally, Willie was able to facilitate some games to help our buffet line move along! To my surprise, my husband coordinated with Willie to add in a special performance before our first dance and during our dinner. He was responsive and made our night seamless and memorable. My event was actually the 3rd time DJ Willie has serviced a. wedding within my family! I was referred to him by my older brother whom Willie has DJ'd for his wedding last year and my sister's in 2015. I'm fortunate by the time it came to my wedding, we had an established family friend who I already trusted to do his job with proven professionalism. The contract was easy to fill out, along with a wedding playlist chart readily provided for me to fill out with my preferred songs of choice.
In addition, my communication experience was very easy as I was able to reach him with an immediate response for any questions or concerns. He also acts an MC in one as Willie knows how to get the crowd riled up and groovy on the dance floor! My family and friends had a wonderful time! Thank you especially for playing two Michael Jackson songs to allow my little cousin Drayden to shine with his unique dance moves just like the last family wedding. Just shows how much Willie knows my family, I truly appreciated it.

If you’re looking for a DJ in the San Diego county, Willie is your guy! He DJ’ed our wedding ceremony & reception & did an amazing job. He is committed to providing a personalized music an entertainment experience. His attention to detail is impeccable and begins with his music worksheet. His ability to read the crowd and tailor the music to the mood is second to none, during dancing there want a person sitting down as he was able to captivate the entire crowd of 200 people and got them on their feet.
DJ Willie even MC'd our reception and you could definitely tell his level of experience the way he seamlessly integrated humor and character into the very tight and compact schedule. This is the third even Willie has done for my family. We have frequented many popular San Diego hot spots and Willie on all occasions has created the perfect aesthetic for brining good vibes. This time around we were able to include him in our 20 year wedding anniversary he covered sound, lighting, and hosting for the ceremony & reception of an event holding 200 guests. All I can say is I did not have a worry, he absolutely covered all details. This comes with his long experience of dj'ing many events. Planning stages were done professionally and we were able to work through the itinerary of the day. Willie is the perfect choice for events large and small. He ensures the energy is exactly where it needs to be. He has been apart of our family for years now and we are super glad we had him for our anniversary and events past. DJ Big Willie Style bringing Music in Style
Overall, our experience with DJ Big Willie Style was very easy and outstanding.
When we were planning our wedding, we had originally found a different DJ from the Bridal Bazaar; however, after a couple of months, they had reached out to us to inform us they could no longer DJ our wedding reception.
Without a DJ, a friend of our brides matron had provided us with a name, DJ Big Willie Style. They said he had played some awesome music and everyone had a great time. So from there, we decided to reach out to the dj. Lucky for us, he was available! After discussing his contract with my wife, we decided to pick him as our DJ.
Willie made it really easy for us and asked us for Spotify Playlists so he could get an idea of the music we listen to that would be good for the dancefloor. Even though we don’t have Spotify, we went ahead and made a spotify playlist so that we could provide some of our musical tastes.
A couple weeks before the wedding, Willie provided us with a worksheet to fill out. This worksheet asked for any specific music pieces to include in our wedding and at what moments. We provided music for the Grand Entrance, First Dance, Money Dance, dinner time, cake cutting, and dancefloor. This made the process really easy for us, since we had already prepared playlists for our other DJ to play.
The night of our wedding, Willie was all ready for us when we arrived and even checked in with us to see if there was any changes. We realized late, that we weren’t going to include anyone except the bridal party in our grand entrance and the worksheet had included others (parents). Luckily for us, Willie was able to adjust and work with our music cues to provide an amazing grand entrance. Later in the night, Willie also played some great music for the dance floor and the kids were dancing all the time!
Thanks again for providing excellent service for us on our happily ever after! I definitely recommend Willie to anyone who needs a great DJ! -

Willie is simply amazing! He truly is a DJ, Emcee, and overall empathetic human being. He was very patient to all of our needs and concerns of our wedding program. We shared the details of our day and he comfortably adapted himself seamlessly.
When it comes to the music, you really can't go wrong with Willie. He has a very straightforward approach when curating your wedding list ie. Era, Specific Artist, Do-Not-Play-List, etc. Though, I can confidently say if you want Willie to have free reign over your music selection for your event, you will be in good hands. Willie was so incredible to work with and was our DJ for our summer wedding at the Hyatt Mission Bay! Our initial consultation with him was very thorough and he took the time to really get to know us and what type of wedding vibe we were going for. He also provided a guide for music selection to help us since we were a bit lost on the beginning on what type of music gets played for what. Our guests were so impressed with the music selection since we had a wide age range but they all had a great time and got on the dance floor. Willie definitely knows how to keep the party going! He played such a good variety of 90s r&b+hip hop (as requested) and even played some jams for the older folks for our wedding reception. Everybody was on the dance floor!!! Our family and friends are still raving about him and plan to have him DJ/host their future events! My husband and I also got our uplighting through Willie which so much easier than booking elsewhere and made such a drastic difference at our venue. Book. Him. Now!!! :) -

PANdemic at the Disco!
Please note, this review comes one year later, because we simply couldn't find the right words to say, and wanted to do right by DJ Big Willie Style, to articulate exactly how exceptional he is.
Picture this. After months and months of endless nights that turned into days of wedding planning, the big day has finally arrived. But accompanying your dream wedding is a PANDEMIC that puts the whole world in frenzy. It's raining; the governor just announces the state will go into shut down; your phone is ringing nonstop; your guests are worrying, they're panicking, they're cancelling. The church is calling, your vendors are calling, everyone is calling. The last thing a bride and groom want to worry about on their big day is managing the details and contingency plans.
Enter DJ Big Willie Style.
Now let me preface this by saying, we are a couple from Las Vegas that enjoyed their 20s by going to the bars and clubs, music festivals, and buying tickets to travel to every concert known to man. Our expectations for a DJ was high. We wanted to ensure that our guests left that reception having the time of their lives.
March 14, 2020 will go down as one of the craziest days of our lives--and we're sure the same can probably be said by many--but DJ Big Willie Style was able to clear our minds for those few hours, away from pandemonium, to just enjoy the night. What turned out to be the last big outing for us, and everyone else at our wedding reception, DJ Big Willie Style helped us all go out with a BANG!
Communication: ON POINT. He takes the time to understand your musical tastes and ensures the reception is reflective of that. We had friends give us that look throughout the night when certain songs were played. A look that said, "Ohhh, nice choice." We've even had friends rave to us about the music days, weeks, even months after the wedding.
Personality: Many times, we've seen DJs at weddings not do a damn thing to keep the reception energy high. DJ Big Willie Style is the complete opposite. He keeps the guests engaged and is great on the mic!
Lighting: We were originally going to do lighting through the venue, but after back-to-back-to-back communication, they over-complicated the process, and it came with a hefty price tag. At the very last minute, we switched it up and decided to do lighting through DJ Big Willie Style. It was so easy, and best of all, affordable. We showed him a couple pictures of what we wanted and he executed it to perfection. It was so beautiful, it exceeded our expectations, and it truly set the tone for the evening.
Entertainment: When was the last time you went to a wedding reception where EVERYONE was on the dance floor? Most of our guests did not even know we had late night tacos because they were too busy dancing. Heck, we didn't even know we had late night tacos, because WE were too busy dancing. We still have friends and family telling us that our wedding was the most fun they've ever had.
Bonus: The money dance aka the $HMONEY dance. The longest money dance in the history of money dances. We actually had to shorten/speed up the line, because so many people wanted to dance with us. Again, a direct reflection of DJ Big Willie Style setting the tone for the night.
Lastly, did I mention our wedding happened the same time a pandemic frenzy started? The mystery behind COVID-19, along with state restrictions starting, made it very easy for our vendors to say "to hell with this." If there is anything you take from this review, it's this... THANK YOU to DJ Big Willie Style for getting the job done. THANK YOU for sticking with us that day. THANK YOU for keeping your cool. THANK YOU for being flexible when sh*t hit the fan. And THANK YOU for showing us our day mattered.

We had two major requirements for our wedding - good food and good music! We've been to weddings where the fantastic couple has a sweet ceremony at a gorgeous venue... but then we get to the reception and then the music is just not right. It seriously can make or break how your guests remember the wedding. No one will remember the words that are said or what the table centerpieces looked like - but they will remember if they had fun!
So we booked Willie almost two years before our actual wedding date because we wanted to make sure he was available and we are happy we did. We had been to some of his events, and we liked his style and trusted his skills.
Your DJ is as every bit a coordinator as your actual coordinator. He is very organized and even has a worksheet for you to fill out in case you don't know where to start. Every wedding has their mishaps, and we had our share, especially when it came to the table layout, but luckily no one was the wiser because he kept the timeline running smoothly. He was also our emcee and was great when we needed to announce something like when we had to tell people that the dessert table wasn't open yet. Everyone was having a great time, vibing out to the chill songs and going off during the open dancing. I remember being at the photo booth and looking over at the dance floor and seeing it completely full!
Willie was very responsive during the planning process when I had questions about the timeline. Since he's done many weddings, we valued his opinion. He even reminded me of things we hadn't thought about that helped us out.
When the day finally comes and you're about to walk down the aisle, and you hear the songs you chose, the stress starts to melt away, setting the tone for the rest of the wedding. Then when you hear your introduction as husband and wife for the first time EVER and your first dance song starts, all the guests disappear and suddenly it's just the two of you on the dance floor for those few minutes. That's the feeling you want to have. That's the feeling brought to you by your DJ!

I can’t say enough about how much I loved DJ Big Willie style. He really listened to our music taste and created a play list based off our personal preferences and must hear songs. He was open to requests (which was big for us) and kept people on the dance floor, which was something we REALLY wanted for our wedding. Willie DJ'd our destination wedding on the Big Island of Hawaii and was one of the most professional, responsive, and best vendors we worked with during our wedding planning process.
Willie was incredibly helpful in assisting us in what equipment we needed and more importantly, did not need. He was extremely communicative and did a wonderful job working with other vendors also involved in our wedding. He was also very responsive to my e-mails and always got back to me within hours if not minutes.
More importantly, Willie did a fantastic job emceeing and DJing our reception. He kept the party going and everyone on the dance floor the entire night (free of the cheesy wedding songs we did not want played). Throughout the planning process, he also offered helpful suggestions in generating our reception timeline. On the day of, he also ensured we stuck to the timeline and got through it efficiently to maximize dance time as we had requested.
Thank you so much Willie for helping to minimize the amount of stress that goes into planning a wedding and being so dependable. We appreciate it so much!

Willie and Ryan were amazing and provided the best DJ service anyone can imagine. They had music that fit with ever part of our reception. From the island reggae during cocktail hour (tropical themed wedding), easy to listen jazz during dinner, line dance songs (electric slide) that got all the aunties and uncle up and groovin, to the mix of hip hop jams that brought the old and new generation together on the same dance floor! Even a little blink 182 that ended with a mini mosh pit between the groomsmen. What’s not to love! They were patient, flexible, professional and most importantly, they kept the party going. At the end of the night people didn’t want to leave. I’ve never seen that before at a wedding reception and trust me I’m not just saying that because it was my own wedding. This dj crew is the one to book if you want your reception to be smooth and memorable as mine was. Thanks Dj Willie and Ryan!! -
