Highly recommend!

Rev. Richardson is so great to work with. From our first meeting with her, she really took the time to get to know us. She is truly passionate about her work, and makes each of her clients feel valued and cared for. She is very open and flexible, and will make sure she understands all your needs, wishes, and preferences for your ceremony. Our wedding ceremony was so special and meaningful, and it felt very much like it was ours. I highly recommend Rev. Richardson, she will make your day that much more special. Rev. Williams is Great!

We hired Rev. Richardson as our officiant and she was so helpful throughout the process. we opted to write our own vows and she was so helpful with that. she gave us helpful documentation to ensure we wrote the best vows possible. she arrived on time and handled our marriage license perfectly.

Dee is amazing!

We had planned a non-religious beach ceremony but for whatever reason had trouble finding an officiant for our wedding. For a while, we waffled between picking someone that we knew or a professional. When we settled on getting a professional (so our guests could all sit back and enjoy the wedding without any additional pressure), it seemed like everyone was booked! As if that wasn't frustrating enough, we also had some less-than-polite responses when we inquired out to ask some of them about their availability. Not sure why Dee hadn't come up on my earlier searches but I'm so happy that we were able to find her. Dee is so nice, friendly, and really cares about her couples! She tailored what she said at our wedding so that it was like she knew us personally, including some really great vows that were very "us." Like many other couples, we had to deal with rescheduling our wedding due to COVID and she was so professional, understanding, and supportive throughout the entire process. Thank you SO much Dee for being a part of our special day!

Perfect ceremony

October 2020 Wedding

We didn't speak with many ministers before we met with Rev. Dee and hired her for our wedding, in fact, she was the only one we met with. Just from the first meeting we knew she was a perfect fit. We had some non-traditional and unconventional ideas for our wedding, along with trying to host it during COVID, and she delivered exactly what we had asked and then some. Fantastic work, great value, and a pleasure to work with.

Beautiful Ceremony and Beautiful all around

Rev Dee is honestly so lovely and so great to work with. Always flexible and willing to help where she can, she made our special day even more special. The ceremony she performed was beautiful and she was just a joy to work with. My husband and I knew from the get go that she would be the one to help us bring in our special day, as you walk in she makes you feel loved and helps make every aspect of the process beautiful. Both my husband and I decided to write our vows and Rev Dee helped with every aspect of that as well, even providing some inspiration to help the process. The day of the wedding, the ceremony she performed was so beautiful. I am so glad that we had Rev Dee officiate our wedding, I cannot imagine our wedding without her.

We loved working with Dee!

Working with Rev. Dee was a great experience, and she was amazing to have during our ceremony! She took the time to really understand what we wanted for our ceremony and put great effort into creating a ceremony that was perfectly unique to us! It's in the little details that you can really tell how much she cares about the couples she works with, from providing printed out copies of our vows, to making sure her outfit coordinates with our wedding colors. Even her office is full of thank you cards and pictures of the couples she's worked with. We absolutely loved having her as a part of our special day, and had several guests mention how great she was during the ceremony. We cannot recommend her enough for couples who want an officiant who is passionate about what they do!

The Perfect Beach Wedding

I contacted Dee when planning an out-of-state (for me), small beach wedding-- with just under 6 weeks notice! Dee was incredibly responsive from the get go, and spent almost an hour on the phone with me the first time we spoke. She answered late night and early morning communications willingly, and I always felt we could count on her to do everything to make our day perfect. She spend much time customizing our ceremony and helping us with decisions regarding our vows.

The day went off without a hitch. My only regret is that we didn't work on some sound equipment, as several family members stated they couldn't hear our ceremony. This was something I hadn't thought to ask for unfortunately.

The ceremony was beautiful, and Dee did a great job. Hopefully my husband and I won't be needing her services personally in the future, but I would 100% recommend her to anyone (and everyone!)

Rev. Dee was everything we could of hoped for in an officiant and more. The ceremony she helped create for us brought everyone to tears. As Eric and I started looking for a wedding officiant, we found a list of about 10. After reading the bios we narrowed it down to three we wanted to interview. Rev. Dee Richardson of Diva Matters Ministry is the first and final officiant with whom we met. After less than two minutes in her office visiting with her, we both knew Dee is who we wanted for our ceremony. We were married April 8, 2018 and our service was absolutely perfect and flawless. Rev. Dee was by far the best officiant we could have chosen. She included us in the development of our ceremony and gave us some guidance in writing our own vows. She incorporated some readings we had chosen because they had important meaning to Eric and I. We met twice with Dee, once for the introduction and the second time, to finalize the service. Our colors were red, white and black and Dee went so far as to send us pics of two possible outfits she would wear and asked for our input. If we had a question or wanted feedback on a version of our vows, of which there were several, Dee always got back to us almost immediately. Thanks to Dee, our service was personal, deeply meaningful for us, and absolutely perfect in every way.

My husband is a disabled veteran and has a hard time with people. We met up with Dee and instantly he told me "i want her to do our wedding!" we booked her right away. She was the absolute best to work with, she was sweet and helpful. The day came of our wedding and i can honestly say it was 100% perfect. It was due to rain but my heart was set on an outside ceremony. It did not rain but it sure was cold. Multiple family members have told me this was hands down the best ceremony they have ever heard. The ceremony was so beautiful and perfect not a single person even realized it was 30* outside. Dee hands down is the best minister i have met with. She does not just perform your ceremony, she lives it, she feels it.. I have never been to a wedding where a minister has so much emotion and love and feeling for what she is saying. It was absolutely beautiful and perfect. I highly recommend Dee to any couple looking for an amazing minister who shows love and passion in what she is doing!

Solis and I were really nervous about finding an officiant for our wedding... but Reverend Dee went above and beyond any and all hopes we could have had. Both of us are nonbinary individuals who use they/them pronouns, and Rev. Dee was extremely respectful of us and helped create a ceremony that didn’t use any gender specific language (like husband/wife.) She is an excellent communicator and was so kind and accommodating, she did a read through of the ceremony beforehand and made sure we were 100% comfortable. I would recommend her to anyone in a heartbeat!

Rev. Dee is such a warm and engaging person, we were very grateful to have found her. She was highly recommended to us by the owner of our wonderful wedding venue, Opal28, and we couldn’t have been happier. Dee gave us tremendous peace of mind that the ceremony would be performed seamlessly and would represent us beautifully and authentically. She was very supportive and respectful throughout the process. She was proactive, asking very insightful questions from the outset to get a sense of who we are as a couple. Her writing immediately reflected her understanding of our relationship and us and she weaved in our additions and revisions seamlessly to truly make it our own. We really enjoyed meeting her with my husband’s daughter and my stepdaughter in advance of the ceremony to review the content and to get to know each other better. She welcomed us in her beautiful office and gave us further peace of mind. We were touched that she also cared about what we were wearing and was not only very complimentary, but also chose wardrobe for herself that went beautifully with the wedding party color palette. All these thoughtful touches meant a lot. She is a true professional and we felt in good hands from the beginning until the end. We couldn’t possibly recommend her more highly and will always have fond memories of our special day with her.

I started off telling my fiancé, we would find wedding officiants with the best reviews and meet with 2 or 3 before making a decision.. Reverend Dee was the first we met with and we were sold! We didn't need to meet anyone else! From initially chatting with her in cute and inviting office space, to offering catering recommendations, offering to find us a reasonable photographer, a well put-together folder to take home, on examples of what could be said in our ceremony and tips on how to write our vows... even wanting to know details like our color palettes or accessories in our wedding so that she could blend seamlessly, making for great pictures..! Dee covered it all!!! I have not one critique I could possibly muster. She is warm and personable and was social at our wedding and after reception. She was even very friendly to my father, who can be quite an (unintentionally) offensive character and often difficult to interact with his big personality! He LOVED her! It's impossible not to!! My husband and I both said she was the best part of our wedding process. I'm so glad the Universe brought us to her. THANK YOU INFINITELY, DEE!!!

Rev. Dee is AMAZING! First meeting we fell in love with her, she was warm and inviting. We where so impressed with Dee that we cancelled our meeting with another Officiant and signed with her. Dee was a great addition to our wedding weekend. I loved that she took the time to get to know us, and some of our family, enabling her to truly individualize our ceremony. In choosing a minister for our ceremony that was out of state we set our expectations to believe that we could find someone professional but probably would not offer a lot of personal touch. We are happy to say we were wrong about that because Rev. Dee was amazing. She was very responsive, personable, professional and funny too. We wanted to have fun on our wedding day, playing outside of the lines so to speak and she was with us all the way. She came to our location which was more than an hour away and always had a smile for us. We had an opportunity to meet with her a day or so before the wedding to review our vows and get a better feel of what we wanted our day to be like. It was like meeting an old friend and from the information that we provided by email, she had written the most beautiful vows for us.
So if you are looking for someone to be a part of your special day, we highly recommended Rev. Dee.

We booked Dee without having met her. My husband and I were planning the wedding from a different state and only had phone calls to take care of hiring someone. We talked with several officiants, but Dee's warmth was immediately apparent. Rather than telling us how we should do things, she totally let us take the lead and really shape how things came together. However, she had great ideas when needed. I really think she captured the essence of us as a couple even after just one phone call.

She came and greeted me while I was getting ready, which was the first time we had met. I felt like old friends. I would definitely recommend using her services!

Dee is extremely kind and thoughtful in working with you to create a ceremony that fits your relationship. She is a joy to work with and be around, very responsive by email. She's very experienced and prepared for anything, she has answers to all your logistical questions and knows what to ask you that you hadn't even thought of in order to make your day special. Our families loved her as well, my parents were brought back to their own wedding day by the spirit of the ceremony, which was extra fitting as they'd just had their anniversary. Hiring Dee made ceremony planning nearly stress free.

Rev. Dee Richardson was absolutely amazing! The ceremony was tailor made just for us and included lots of funny facts about us. Reverend Dee is wonderful! I can't say it enough. Finding the perfect officiant is key. She was easy to work with and very flexible. My husband and I changed our ceremony just a couple days before our wedding and she was happy to go with it. Reverend Dee took care of all the details. As you know, there's enough stress involved in planning the perfect day, so my husband and I were relieved to work with someone who truly enjoys it.

Rev Dee was amazing; she worked with us to coordinate an ever changing wedding vision. We had several changes come up, due to unforeseen family issues, and Dee never stumbled when it came to keeping our ceremony on track. We even had a secret wedding right before the real one! Rev. Dee made our wedding complete! She was beyond helpful in organizing the ceremony and the script was absolutely perfect! She let us edit it as we saw fit and was encouraging throughout the writing process... which gave us the sweet and personalized ceremony we were looking for. From my very first phone conversation with Reverend Dee, I found her to be warm and thoughtful, showing genuine interest and excitement for us. We could tell that she loves what she does, and she does it with enthusiasm. She provides a long list of recommended resources for other wedding vendors, and is willingly on-call for her clients' questions or suggestions about wedding details. Her response time is just amazing, and another demonstration that she must love what she does. The day of our wedding she helped coordinate timing and welcome guests while we were busy with photos, and I was really pleased with all the compliments that my guests had for her ceremony. Rev. Dee is absolutely amazing! After meeting with some not so great people, my husband and I started to get discouraged but the second that we met Rev. Dee we knew she was the one we wanted to officiate our wedding. We will start this review with the fact that Dee is a wonderful wedding officiant and we would highly recommend her to anyone looking for an officiant for their wedding. We met Dee by chance three months before our wedding when we sat next to her at a friend’s wedding reception. After having seen firsthand her energetic and kind nature, we knew she would be a perfect addition to our ceremony. We met with her a month in advance of our wedding to give her ideas for what we were looking for. She was very receptive to our ideas and desires for what our ceremony would look like and helped us pick out passages and inspirational quotes as well as organize logistics. We had a hard time making certain decisions for what would be said, what the procession would look like, and what order everything would happen in. Luckily, Dee had some wonderful ideas and answers to our questions but also let us make the final call on any decision. She was also able to attend our wedding rehearsal and was able to walk us through how everything would look so there were no surprises on the day of. She offered to stay for the reception and interacted very well with guests and people had nothing but great things to say about her. Her exuberance and passion for what she does make her a perfect officiant. She is fun to watch and listen to. She will always remember that it’s your special day and will do whatever she can to make it perfect for you. We hope this review has been helpful and again, we would highly recommend Reverend Dee.

Dee is AMAZING!!! We were referred to Dee by our photographer, Erica Ann Photography, and I am so glad! Upon our first meeting with Dee she spoke with me and (my new husband), Sean. Our first meeting was about 2 hours long. Through casual and fun conversation she was able to get to know us and get a feel for what we wanted. I really wanted a non-religious, fun and sweet ceremony. I didn't want any of these boring, solemn ceremonies that I am used to seeing at weddings. After our first meeting, Dee provided us some readings and verbiage for us to use to create our own wedding vows. She provided assistance in helping us create our own vows and made the process really easy. Which was great because we were really worried about that part. Upon our second meeting, Dee had typed out the ceremony for us to go over. It was perfect! She included even the smallest details from our first meeting and she really listened to what we wanted.
The day of, Dee was incredible. She got there early, she was helpful in making sure things were set up properly and making sure everything was going smoothly. I cannot tell you how many compliments I got on her ceremony. People were so impressed. I was and keep being told that it was one of the best ceremonies they had ever heard. It was personal, fun, touching, and with laughter hidden in there. Dee made Sean and I feel so comfortable, not an easy feat for two shy people. I cannot say enough good things about her. After the ceremony, she hung around for a bit, chatted with our guests until we were ready to sign the documents.

Dee is just a breath of fresh air, she was a calming fun presence throughout the whole process and the day of.

You would be sorry if Dee was missing from your wedding!!!

Josh and I are a very young couple who were married on the beach earlier this month! Your ceremony, in my opinion is the most important part of your wedding. You really want to find someone you connect with, someone you feel comfortable with to help you celebrate your love and marry you. We found that in Dee, we couldn't have chosen a better officiant! Oh my...where do i start? Our wedding would not have been the same without Dee. Period. I cannot put into words the sense of relief we felt from the moment we first met with her thru to the very end. Her warm, personal touches along with her professional expertise was so refreshing after meeting with other officiants and leaving their offices feeling like it wasn't a match and we were never going to find the perfect officiant.
She was so patient with us as we wrote our own vows, patient and supportive of family members needs and requests and so in tuned to what made us as the Bride and Groom happy. We love her. We feel like she is a part of our family! I cannot say enough good things about her . We got so many compliments from guests and other vendors of ours as well which just reassured what we already were feeling. If she is available for your wedding date look no further- book her now.
And if she is already booked on the date you have chosen...pick a new date that she IS available. ;) Seriously- she is worth it.

My partner and I decided to elope on a Sunday and by the following Friday we were married by Rev. Dee. I had contacted a few officiants to find someone to marry us, and Rev. When we first met Dee, we were thrilled. By the time we had left and walked to our car in the parking lot, we decided we better go back in and confirm our booking with her right away. So we did!

Wow. I've never met someone that gets so excited for the love you share with your husband to be and gets so excited for the wedding during the planning. We met so many times because I just loved her! My fiancé even liked her from the first meeting. Every other officiant would sound so boring on the phone, and when I spoke with DEE she was excited and happy and full of love!!! She has personality. Rev Dee was extraordinary. Her passion for what she does was inspirational. The time and heart she put into writing for our ceremony and the intuitive awareness of who my wife and I are without meeting us until 30 minutes prior to the service was remarkable. The vows written for us individually were so spot on, it was as if she had been watching us through our lives taking notes of what we had said previously to one another. Rev. Dee is Divinely guided and it shows in her eyes, through her work and her energy is love.

We decided on the fly to get married while on vacation. We were SO LUCKY to find Reverend Dee. I am certain it was divinely ordained! Reverend Dee was kind, attentive, accommodating, and fun. Her service was inspired!! We could not have found a better officiant for our wedding had we scoured the country and interviewed many! I am certain of this. We will always remember her and are grateful for the beautiful start she gave to our commitment!

Dee was absolutely amazing! Professional, energetic, compassionate, and absolutely awesome. Dee is great at what she does and it was such a blessing to have her perform our ceremony. I would absolutely recommend Dee.....over and over again.

Reverend Dee is wonderful. She is very professional and passionate about what she does and brought a lot of energy and love to our wedding. Planning out our ceremony was extremely easy as she has many great suggestions and a lot of experience. We cannot say enough nice things about how great she is.

Rev. Dee was amazing! We received so many comments after the ceremony. Our friends and family kept asking, "Where did you find her?" We really feel that she did an amazing job. She took the time to sit down, talk, and get to know us. She offered us options for vows, readings, and ceremonies. We had some ideas of our own, but didn't know how to incorporate them. Rev. Dee took our story and ideas and combined them with her knowledge and expertise to create a flawless ceremony that was perfect for us. Planning a wedding is stressful. If you are looking for an officiant, call Rev. Dee, and relax :-)

Reverend Dee was professional, prompt, and did a very nice ceremony on our wedding!
She was even color coordinated with our colors, which I thought was very nice. We had our dog to be included in our ceremony, which we found out she was really into. I would really recommend her at anyone's wedding ceremony. Very High Quality. Thank you Reverend Dee! :-)

Dee was a lovely person to work with from the planning process to the wedding day! You can't go wrong with Dee's positive attitude, flexibility, and unconditionally support before, during, and after the wedding. She's super understanding and went out of her way to make our day extra special. There are not enough words to describe how absolutely pleased we were with Dee and Diva Matters Ministry. It was just divine intervention that our paths crossed. We live in Texas and found Dee through the internet. It was clear from our early correspondence and phone calls we had the perfect officiant for our wedding! From the moment we met Rev. Dee we knew that she was the right one for us. Her openness and gentle direction put us right at ease. We wanted our ceremony to be special, which she helped us do by personalizing it for us. Not only did this help us to have a level of comfort during the ceremony, it brought special meaning to the ceremony for my wife and I. After the ceremony so many people told us what a wonderful ceremony this was, and how much they enjoyed Rev. Dee. Her knowledge, flexibility, and understanding truly turned this into a heartfelt experience for all. Her enthusiasm and caring attitude helped to make our wedding guests and family feel at ease. Dee was great!

We met with her ahead of time, figured out what we needed to do, then put it all together in another meeting. She came to the rehearsal and was super helpful, and we felt nothing but love and support on our wedding day. Dee can make plans and improv as needed to get your wedding done as good as it can be. Beautiful words

Dee’s words were beautiful and she had our guests crying. She met us once but still provided very personal insight into our relationship which made it that more memorable. Our only issue was that she did not send her script ahead of time so we had no idea what she was going to say or how long the ceremony would be. Other than that everybody loved her and she did a great job.

Reverend Dee loves what she does and it shows in her work. She is very flexible and tries to accommodate your views into her work. She worked well with our other vendors. It was our great pleasure to have her officiate our wedding.

Dee was great, very flexible and willing to work with us to make the ceremony what we wanted it to be. I sent my vows to her a few days before the wedding and she was still able to print them out on a fancy paper for us to read off of. One thing we regret is not having her come to the rehersal. She charges extra for her to be present at the rehersal but we would definitely recomended it because we feel like it would have been helpful to run through the ceremony once before the day of. Overall she was very friendly and easygoing.

Rev Dee was wonderful to work with. She was attentive in our meetings; listening to our story, providing us with some direction, and hearing what we wanted and didn’t want. She was very responsive and graciously went back and forth as we designed our ceremony. Unfortunately she mispronounced the groom’s last name in the ceremony (wish she would have checked one last time before the day of)!
