We truly don't have enough good things to say about District Winery. They were actually the only vendor we ended up visiting, because we knew right away that it was THE place to get married. Having really good food was important to both of us, and if that's important to you, there is no better venue. The appetizers are some of the best we have ever had, and people tell us how amazing the cocktail hour was several months later. The dinner was beyond incredible, and our guests loved the elevated family style with bowls of salad and sides on the table so guests could help themselves while the entrees were served. We had 3 options for entrees, and guests were able to take as many as they wanted. The hardest part of getting married at DW was choosing between all the amazing food options! Several guests have told us that our wedding had the best wedding food they've ever had.
On top of that, the venue itself is beautiful with views of the river and a heated patio. The bartenders were amazing, and developed a rapport with our guests to the point that they remembered people's drink orders or came up with drinks on the spot based on what guests said they liked.
We had about 120 guests, and the room easily accommodated our wedding size without feeling too empty. The room is beautiful on its own, and it's not one of those venues where you feel like you need to add a lot of florals or expensive decor to make it feel elevated. Finally, the staff and event planners were amazing and completely committed to making sure we had the day we'd always imagined. District Winery was such a great venue and the staff was extremely helpful in the lead up to the wedding. On the day of, Kat and Brenda were attentive, helpful, and made sure we felt comfortable. They helped us work around the events going on in Navy Yard the weekend of our wedding and even helped build our schedule around city-scheduled fireworks so we could get pictures and the guests could enjoy them. District Winery was also helpful in identifying how best to do our Indian ceremony with a small fire inside without having to change anything significantly. -

When our DW event manager, Tori, told us that we should feel free to put our phones away during our wedding and let her and the DW team handle things we knew we were in for a wonderful, stress free wedding! Our entire experience with District Winery was fantastic. Beginning with the planning, their constant and clear communication made getting information about having our wedding there clear and easy to understand, including pricing information. They offered a great list of vendors, and every one that we worked with, regardless of level of familiarity with DW, all mentioned they enjoy working with them. Tori and her team made vendor coordination leading up to the wedding so seamless.
As we got closer, we loved being able to try all the food we could offer during our wedding. All of the food ended being above and beyond our expectations. Tori was very helpful whenever we asked for her recommendations in planning, whether it was choosing entrees or finalizing wedding speech timing.
During the wedding, Tori and her team kept their word. We did not have to worry about any timing, coordination with vendors, or ensuring that any key moments were not missed. Every single potential issue discussed during planning, and those unforeseen, was handled by the DW team seamlessly. We had a very complicated list of dietary restrictions, and each guest reported back they felt extremely cared for during the meal service. Other small things, like Tori offering to print the mother of the bride's speech when she left it in her hotel room, just showed how DW went above and beyond for their clients and guests.
Service from the entire staff was prompt, kind, efficient, and above and beyond in all aspects. Guests told us they felt welcomed, and many told us it was the best wedding they had ever been to. We cannot recommend DW and Tori and her team enough for anyone looking to get married in the DMV! -

5/5 stars. Would recommend 1,000,000 times.
If it is within your budget, I HIGHLY recommend going with District Winery for your wedding venue. I don’t regret a single penny I spent with them because of their excellent location/view, food + wine (which were both phenomenal btw), and amazing service from their staff. From the moment we toured the venue all the way up to the end of our wedding day, every single staff member we interacted with was kind, attentive and SO helpful.
Once you book with them, you receive a coordinator who will start working with you a few months prior to your date and this was a life saver for us. There isn’t enough space in this post to fully describe how amazing our coordinator (Tori) was. She was extremely nice, responsive, and did everything she could to help us achieve our dream wedding. She was a rock star.
Seriously, book this place. -

No review can express how grateful we are to the whole District Winery team, especially our coordinator Kat Excellent (her real name), but we'll try our best!
When we discussed what vibe we wanted for our wedding, the first word we said was "fun," (followed by "good food" and "beautiful") and District Winery helped us hit it out of the park. We truly cannot recommend District Winery enough!
From the very first phone call and walk through, we knew that District Winery was the venue for us. The space is so beautiful, with indoor and outdoor options and tons of flexibility for different set up options. They also do a lot in-house (catering, seats and tables, some decor,) and provide you with a dedicated "day of" coordinator a few months out. Even before we were assigned to Kat, the team was super responsive anytime we had questions and made the planning process super seamless. Also, while they don't require use of their preferred vendors, their list is truly top tier (we used a recommended photographer, florist, DJ, and bakery), which made the process super easy.
We had our ceremony inside and the cocktail reception on the terrace while the team flipped the room. It was so seamless that our guests hardly noticed! The space is pretty open, so you can really transform it depending on the look and feel you want for your wedding (although the space is already beautiful, so you don't really need to do much!).
We also have to give Chef Nick and his team a special shoutout. We had some pretty intense dietary needs (kosher meals, vegans, serious allergies) and the kitchen team were able to address all of that! He was also so kind in helping us pick an entree that was slightly off-menu from the tasting to meet our desires. In the end, all of the food was delicious and we were so happy! Thank you, Chef Nick!
Kat is so organized and DW runs events like a well-oiled machine. We had one detailed spreadsheet to keep track of vendors (contact info, arrival/deprature time, COIs, etc), ceremony order, menu, seating chart, room layout, DW decor, personal decor, parking slips...you name it! We also had a walk through with Kat about one month out, which helped finalize a few important details about the space.
If you're considering District Winery for your wedding, we highly recommend you do it! You will not regret it! -

My husband and I just had our wedding at District Winery and it was the most perfect experience. Working with Tori as our same day coordinator was amazing, if you have the opportunity to work with her, she helps you execute your vision seamlessly, make your day as stress free as possible, & does it all with a smiling/friendly face. We had the best experience at District Winery! We felt comfortable from the very start and from our first tour knew that this was the venue for us. We both are very busy people and loved that District Winery has so many components wrapped into one venue--no need to worry about coordinating several vendors! They did have a preferred vendors list for the few things that they don't provide, and we used their recommendations for both DJ and photographer--we loved both! We had Kat as our event manager; she was assigned to us about 3 months ahead of our wedding. She was so organized and responsive to all of my silly questions ranging from seating charts, to napkin colors, to menu questions. We felt so supported and the day was extremely relaxed and organized thanks to her. The food was excellent and the food tasting event was such a fun experience. We had ~180 guests and the venue felt plenty big. Our dance floor was full and we had many people enjoy the outdoor patio for a quieter moment. -

We got married at District Winery in June and would definitely recommend to others. While we initially thought it would be outside our budget, they were able to work with us to help lower the cost in different ways. In the end, we felt that District Winery was a very good value for what we paid. We didn't have a wedding planner, and our event manager, Kat, was absolutely incredible in the few months leading up to the wedding. She thought of every detail and helped accommodate our different requests from customizing some of the food to splitting cocktail hour between the terrace and mezzanine when we were concerned about the weather. We've also heard so many compliments from our guests on the venue, the food, and even the waitstaff. -

Could not be happier!
This venue won our hearts almost immediately after our first meeting with Laura. Not only could we tell this venue had the look and the location, but it also had this noticeable warmth, and sense of great care taken by everyone on the staff. There's a pride you can see and hear just by being around them. They care and believe in their mission to deliver world class weddings. Leading up to, and ESPECIALLY on the day of - Morgan and the on-site staff were superlative. If you're going to get married - you 100% want someone like Morgan, and a team like the one here at DW working with you. Trust me. My wife and I were at ease and this was the best day of our lives thanks in very large part to the hard, skillful work of the District Winery crew. Thank you x100000. -

We still have guests complimenting us on the food selection! The venue's stunning location overlooking the Potomac River provided a breathtaking backdrop for our special day, creating magical photo opportunities throughout the event.

What truly set District Winery apart was their incredible staff, especially our event manager, Kat Excellent. From our very first meeting, Kat was warm, professional, and remarkably responsive. She genuinely cared about creating our perfect day and went above and beyond to accommodate our unique requests. Her attention to detail and clear communication made us feel completely at ease throughout the planning process.
Flexibility and Personalization
Despite some unconventional requests (like our circular ceremony setup and specific dance floor placement), the District Winery team was remarkably accommodating. They embraced our vision and worked creatively to make everything possible. Kat provided invaluable planning tools including timeline templates, clearly defined roles and responsibilities, and seating chart assistance. She also helped coordinate special seating accommodations and day-of setup, ensuring everything ran smoothly.

On our wedding day, the staff was friendly, hardworking, and clearly committed to making our celebration perfect. Their professionalism and genuine enthusiasm created a warm, welcoming atmosphere for all our guests. We were particularly impressed by how kid-friendly the venue was, ensuring all our guests, regardless of age, felt comfortable and included.

Tori and the DW team went beyond our expectations. We picked DW not just because of the venue itself, but because of the team there. Everything was seamless from beginning to end. The communication, the in-house decor, the views, were all perfect. Tori took the time to make sure that we were taken care of and all of our questions were answered. We had our wedding at DW on September 1, and it was truly flawless. DW is such a well oiled machine and the night went incredibly smooth. It was such a pleasure to work with Latoria, Chloe, and Tori throughout the planning process. We had about 150 people with a band and it was the perfect fit. The room was STUNNING and the team was super accommodating with last minute changes and a huge wrench thrown our way on the big day. No one even flinched and they adapted beautifully. SO sad it's over and I wish we could do it again!! -

We had a wonderful experience with DW from our first day reaching out to them to learn more all the way through to the big day. Everyone here is incredibly kind and responsive, and they are incredibly thoughtful / total experts at all the details to make your wedding day go smoothly. We really wanted a venue that took the burden off of us from doing all the work as we really didn't have the time or desire to get into every small detail and they did not disappoint. Apart from overall service, the food was delicious - all our guests commented on it - and the venue location is perfect, with hotels nearby, plenty of activities, and a great indoor/outdoor hybrid space.

District Winery did an incredible job with our wedding! From the first day we started working with them to the day of the wedding everything was flawless. We had 188 guests + 6 piece band, cleaned up a table for dancing and had windy weather so the terrace had the sides down and still everyone fit in there well. They had the space heaters on which were fantastic and you really could not tell anything about the weather.
A few highlights:
- Pre wedding they give you a coordinator about 3 months out who answers all of your questions/helps to coordinate the event (and before this 3 month mark you can email the events team and someone will get back to you!).
- They are full service - we only had to bring in music, cake, floral, photo, video and photo booth! The space is so beautiful you really don't need to bring in a ton of decor.
- The food and wine/champagne are spectacular
- They are incredibly accommodating - we asked for a few random things and they were met with and "of course!"
Our event manager Tori was incredible and we cannot thank her enough!!! Truly thank you to the entire DW team, we have heard compliment after compliment about our wedding, the staff, the venue, the food, the bar, everything and we owe it all to you guys. THANK YOU!!District Winery's reply:

Wedding at District Winery 10/2023
We had our wedding in October 2023 at District Winery and it was the most magical and memorable day ever! Our day of planner Rheanna and her team were fantastic throughout the entire process leading up to and the day of our wedding. She really helped our dream wedding come to life and provided insight and ideas that made the day so special. From the moment we toured the venue, my husband and I fell in love the the beautiful views and the modern yet classic feel of the reception space. The food was delicious and we loved the different options we could choose from to have during our reception. Not to mention the fun add on of the taco bar which was a huge hit! In addition, we loved the options for wine and the option for a signature cocktail to have during the reception. One thing that stood out to us the most was that after the ceremony we were brought down to our little room where we could relax and have some small plates before we headed back up to join our guests. This was a special touch that my husband and I appreciated because we were able to take a moment for ourselves to just take it all in and we love that District Winery does this for their couples. We both also appreciated Rheanna and her team the day of the wedding and all the time they took to coordinate where the vendors would need to be as well as helping us make sure all the details were perfect. Rheanna made the day go by so smoothly that we had nothing we needed to worry about besides enjoying our day with family and friends. One small thing that we wished went differently was that the parking gate attendant who was working the day after the wedding tried to charge my family member money to get their car out of the parking lot. Something that was not suppose to happen since our family members were allowed to park in this lot, leave their cars overnight if needed, and then pick up the car without any charge. This was mentioned to District Winery and we hope that this does not happen to someone else in the future and that this person would not do something like this again. Overall, we are truly grateful for District Winery, Rheanna, and her team for making our day amazing. We can’t wait to come back and celebrate as VIC’s now and relive the moments from our wedding day.District Winery's reply:

Easiest choice we had to make!
District Winery ended up being the only venue we toured. My goal as a bride was to have to worry about as little as possible and from the start of our communication we loved how much District Winery had to offer (I am not a type A person so this was great!) They were extremely organized in their planning, the food was delicious, and our guests are still raving about the day! We got to fully enjoy our wedding day knowing we were taken care of. Our vendors even mentioned how well they were treated which was so nice to hear. DW truly exceeded our expectations. District Winery Has Everything!!
Rheanna, Kat and the whole DW team helped us focus our wedding planning, made accommodations and assisted in our wedding at every step! Rheanna even stepped in to MC our reception last minute without even being asked. District Winery was the best possible choice. They were easy to communicate with, responsive and delightful. Worth every penny.
Britt Manner, their overall event manager who you meet when you tour the place, is such a gem and immediately sold us on the venue. Our dedicated event manager, Rheanna Kablaoui was everything an anxious bride could have wanted. She answered every question we had, even the wild ones like "can we bring a pizza for one of our guests with special needs?" (The answer was yes!) and handled our set up and tear down with ease. I didn't have to lift a finger on the day, and my POC who did our drop off and pick up of personal items said it was unbelievably easy. They coordinated with our vendors and gave us a huge, easy to use spreadsheet to make sure everything went off without a hitch. All of our guests with dietary restrictions (and we had a lot) were taken care of. Everything looked exactly as I imagined. And when we made on-the-fly changes like ending the night an hour early so my grandmother could be there, they did it with ease.
I've gotten numerous compliments about the food and the staff on the night and I just can't have imagined a better space. We loved it.District Winery's reply:

Everything about our experience with District Winery--from our first conversation with the event sales team, to the planning phase with the event coordinators, to rehearsal and execution--was professional, efficient, organized, warm, and supportive. Every interaction was positive, and each step along the planning journey made us feel like we were in attentive, capable hands. As it turned out, our day-of event coordinator had a death in the family the week of our wedding, and had to leave town for the funeral. We'd developed a relationship with her, and were so sorry to hear about her loss. However, another member of the team picked right up and executed our wedding rehearsal and day-of ceremony and reception as though she'd been planning it with us the whole time--the entire thing was seamless. This is a testament to the entire DW event staff and management, and we look forward to dining and wine tasting there as wedding VIPs for years to come.District Winery's reply:

We held our wedding reception at District Winery in September 2022 and it was everything we ever hoped for. It's hard to beat their perfect combo of a covered terrace with a riverfront view and the sweeping, elegant ballroom just inside. The food is outstanding, from the hors d'oeuvres to the salads, sides, and entrees, through to the bite-size desserts and late-night snack stations. There are so many options for every course that we could have chosen completely differently and still had an incredible menu. Our guests loved the food, the space, and especially the chance to take home bottles of wine as party favors at the end of the night. But above all, the highlight of the District Winery event experience is the staff. We felt incredibly well taken care of at each stage of the planning process. Even on the day of, they surprised us with thoughtful touches, like when we retreated to the couple's suite to catch our breath for a few minutes and found they had plated two of each appetizer for us. We loved the ones we'd selected, but of course had missed some of them while trying to welcome our family and friends during cocktail hour. That's just one of the many ways they make for a seamless event that's still full of unexpected joys along the way. For us, District Winery checked every box — a scenic all-in-one venue right in the city, with great food and drinks and a stellar team attending to every detail with poise and professionalism.District Winery's reply:

Perfect Bridal Shower Location
I co-hosted a bridal shower at this amazing venue in a private space overlooking the water. It could not have been more perfect. The planning process with Britt could not have been easier. She recommended an awesome florist who was also great to work with. The food was amazing, the staff were incredible and the venue was stunning! The bloody mary bar and mimosa bar were so much fun. Everything was set up when we arrived and the staff made sure that we had everything we needed throughout the event. They even helped put together wine bottle favor bags with really cute thank you tags. The shower was truly perfect! I HIGHLY recommend this venue for private events.District Winery's reply:

We’ve gone back the past 2 years on our anniversary to celebrate with dinner at District Winery, and they have gone above and beyond each year to make our anniversary dinner special; from a customized anniversary card at our table, to a complimentary sparkling wine toast and a delicious charcuterie board. I cannot speak highly enough of the team at District Winery. The process of booking a wedding with District Winery was easy and stress free. The venue is truly beautiful, they take care of all the details, and the food is amazing. When COVID derailed our wedding, the District Winery team was incredibly helpful and responsive every step of the way. Due to COVID, we went through 4 plans for our wedding ranging from 120 people to 20 people, in every season, before finally getting to celebrate with 40 people in July 2021. We were one of the lucky DW couples that was first affected COVID (original wedding date was April 4 during the DC stay at home order). In mid-March/through our tears, we made the decision to postpone the full event until Sept. 2020- which seemed doable since no one really knew how bad it would turn out to be. Flash forward to Sept- we still couldn’t have our full 180-person wedding, BUT through the grace that DW showed us during those stressful months, we were able to have the most perfect, intimate wedding at DW.
While I don't wish the canceling/rescheduling COVID wedding fiasco on anyone, if we had to do it again, I would pick DW over & over again. I can’t emphasize enough how understanding, empathic, & patient Stephanie (Director of Events) & Brian (Co-owner) were through the numerous, long phone calls to discuss all the options we had. We can only imagine how extremely exhausting it was to have these phone calls w/ all their covid couples & the tough toll covid took on their business-- but they didn’t let that affect how they treated us as an individual couple. It was evident that they put the business side of things aside; they respected & empathized that we had been looking forward & investing in this special day for over 1.5 years & were determined to help us have our dream wedding during COVID. They offered numerous options/packages/dates to reschedule for us to mull over until we came to the best solution for us as a couple.
I am happy to share that we had our (covid-adjusted) DREAM wedding on Sept 20, 2020 with 21 guests. It was the most intimate wedding & we were lucky to have the most BEAUTIFUL day which allowed us to have both our ceremony & reception on their rooftop terrace. Stephanie was our event coordinator extraordinaire that day & with her staff coordinated the most seamless wedding- the food, drinks, flow of the events, coordination of the vendors. Wow. We knew we wanted to get married here when we came by over a year ago the morning after a wedding (and the place was still being cleaned up). We not only loved the location, but the aesthetic of the venue itself. We picked our date and were set - then along came COVID-19. We were clear with the venue that we did not want to postpone or cancel our wedding. When I say that they worked wonders and were incredibly flexible, I'm understating. Stephanie, in particular, went ABOVE and BEYOND in making sure my husband and I felt comfortable with our options and that our day would still be spectacular. We ended up having to reduce our wedding from ~130 to 50 people due to DC restrictions. Honestly, we could not have imagined it any other way. It was so good. Stephanie and the rest of the District Winery staff made the night perfect. Even with mask and distancing restrictions, the space felt safe and still enjoyable to all. Our guests raved about the food and wine. They could not believe how beautiful the venue was, as well as the views from the terrace. We were able to have our dog join us for the ceremony and photos afterwards. We will never forget how amazing our day was at District Winery and are forever thankful to Stephanie for helping us shape our day into what it was, considering the circumstances. -

A Perfect Wedding
You can see from the pictures how beautiful District Winery is, and if you've done a tasting you know how good the wine and food are! But I wanted to point out how great they are to work with. We worked with Lee on the DW team and she was simply incredible. She was great at offering suggestions when we needed help and executing our vision when we knew how we wanted things to go. And she was a tremendous resource on the wedding day, keeping all the trains running on time! DW's back-end organization ensures that everything stays organized, and the ENTIRE team there is always willing to help out, offer you a glass of wine, and make sure everything is running smoothly. We were in constant contact with Lee and the DW team in the last 90 days or so before the wedding, so by the time the big day arrived there was nothing left to stress about! The day itself ran SO smoothly, and our guests were floored by the beautiful space -- we did our ceremony inside on the 3rd floor, came down to the mezzanine for cocktail hour, and then went back upstairs for the reception (which the DW team flipped from ceremony to reception in just an hour!). We also had the outdoor terrace set up as a cocktail/dessert lounge for people who wanted a break from dancing. A great experience from start to finish! -

District Winery is a bit of a magical place. We first attended a wedding there, and it was one of the best weddings I've attended. After our wedding there, we heard the same thing from many of our guests. District Winery has what a lot of venues lack - tons of natural light, waterfront view, and indoor/outdoor space view - all in one venue. With the venue, you get a ceremony space, reception space outdoor cocktail reception space, and mezzanine. For the amount of food, quality of food, all of the wines/liquor, and impeccable service, the $200 price per person price tag is well worth it. The planning/coordinating team was going through a bit of a transition when we booked, so our planning changed hands during the process. That was frustrating, but they were both very helpful. The food is delicious; we had the short rib, chicken, asparagus, and mac-n-cheese. I think it would be difficult to have a bad meal here. If you're on the fence, I encourage you to go for it!
A note on hiring a wedding planner - because I searched for reviews with guidance on this. While they do have a strong wedding coordinator team, I decided to hire an outside planner to help reduce my stress and to ensure that all went well. It was a tough decision though. There were times when I wondered if the planner was essential and worth the added expense. My wedding was under a tight timeline, and I wanted someone to do much of the work for me. Turns out there is still plenty of work for the couple. Also, I wanted help with decision and etiquette. If you have the time you can certainly work with the planning team at District Winery, they are pros, without an outside planner. If you do hire a planner, his/her job will be a little easier than usual because it's sort of an all-inclusive venue, but there will still be plenty to do. Decide based on how much time and capacity you have. -

District Winery was the first place we visited on our venue hunt, and we knew right away it was it. Thankfully, we couldn’t of made a better choice. The space/views are beautiful, the team is experienced and attentive, and the food was out of this world. We so appreciated having immediate access to an events team from the moment we signed our contract, and asked them tons of questions in those first few months. They were always exceptionally prompt and helpful in their response. A few months out from our wedding date we received a designated event manager, who helped us walk through each piece of the day and ensure that any remaining questions or logistics were accounted for.
Our designated event manager, Amy, was our angel on wedding day. She ensured that everything went without a hitch and that any hiccups were resolved without me or my husband even knowing. She helped coordinate everything from vendor arrivals to shuffling guests between spaces to arranging the escort board and favors. It was such a relief knowing that we had an expert with us, and such a gift to not have to handle any of the inevitable road bumps that arise during wedding day so that we could focus on just enjoying the night.
Finally, our guests RAVED about the food and wine at District Winery. Not what you usually hear about wedding food! The Brussels sprouts and fried chicken were crowd favorites, as was the unoaked Chardonnay - definitely can’t miss items. The kitchen team was exceptionally accommodating and helpful with our guests many dietary restrictions, making our lives so much easier.
We loved spending our wedding day at District Winery and couldn’t recommend it more! -

Choosing District Winery was easily the best decision I made in my wedding planning!! This is the first place I toured but I toured many place after. I kept comparing everything to DW, and how responsive and knowledgable they were with questions I asked. They also gave me all the information without even asking. Where other venues I felt would wait for me to ask questions.
The venue itself was beautiful! I love, love, love the terrace/roof deck. It is beautiful! I wish I could have just sat out there all night during my wedding and drank wine. While DW is sort of a factory for weddings, doing them every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, it didn’t feel that way. I felt like I could personalize it to me and my husband. I love the vibe of the inside and the casual, elegant feel.
I will note that the day of my wedding their was a concert outside on the grass so the terrace had music from that concert. I wish I had known that but it all worked out. I had initially planned to have a string quartet and then decided not to. We planned to put music on from Spotify and also forgot to give it to Courtney. So the music was a welcome surprise! Had we paid for the string quartet and then had that concert, I would have been peeved.
When we went to our food tasting, it was a lot of fun because you get to meet other couples getting married around the same time. There was soooo much food, and I left being a little unsure about the food. I think because I was eating so many flavors. However, the day of the wedding everything tasted amazing, and I had so many people compliment the food, including my uncle who is not one to easily be impressed. I also loved the family style dining they had. I was a little apprehensive about it initially and knew my dad would be, but I felt like the food came out warmer than when I have been to weddings that are pre-plated. They also came back around to make sure people could have seconds or thirds if desired. Several guest commented on how much they enjoyed the food, the service, and the venue!
Everyone at DW was organized and responsive. I had a day of coordinator (non-DW) who messed up several things, and Courtney (our DW coordinator) who would immediately make corrections if I mentioned something (i.e. I came in and noticed a sign was missing, I asked Courtney where it was and she knew, said she could move it to the proper place. I said okay whatever it doesn’t matter, and Courtney moved it without much prompting. I was super impressed by this!). My DOC was not there for the send off at the end of the night and I thought they had forgotten about it, but when I came down Courtney had organized everything. There were definitely things that went wrong and were not done correctly (i.e.-florist and lighting person just not putting up flowers we paid for; our limo taking our guests making us wait for 45 mins), but none of that had to DW. Courtney was super accommodating and on top of it! I am so grateful for Courtney and DW!! Using DW also decrease many decisions, which I was grateful for (e.g.-not needing to choose: napkin color, food vendor, tables rental, etc.). I am so glad that chose them for my vendor! I was so happy with them!

We are so glad we went with District Winery for our June wedding! If you’re looking for a modern but classic feeling space in DC with both indoor and outdoor space, there’s really nothing that beats it. We originally had our hearts set on an all outdoor wedding, but given our June timeframe we didn’t want to risk having a crazy weather day, which is always a possibility in DC. Even though we ended up with a beautiful day/evening (especially for late June!), it was perfect to be able to enjoy both the indoor, air-conditioned space for the ceremony/dinner/dancing while also having access to the gorgeous terrace overlooking the river for the cocktail hour and reception.
From the day we booked our date through until the day before the wedding, the entire District Winery staff was super professional and responsive. Before our day-of (but really month-of!) coordinators were assigned, it never took more than 24 hours for someone from the event staff to respond to my one-off questions. Once we were connected with Stephanie and Rebecca about 8 weeks out, they made us feel like our wedding was their focus (despite having a ton of other events on their plates) and provided super thorough responses to the million and one questions we asked. They also provided an awesome spreadsheet that really helped us think through all of the tiny details we hadn’t wrapped our heads around and make sure we were on track. Knowing that Stephanie and Rebecca were taking care of coordinating with our vendors and had every detail of the day pinned down to the minute meant that we could relax and fully enjoy the day – which was especially comforting since we didn’t have a separate wedding planner (which I honestly don’t think you need if you go with DW – they truly take care of everything!)
In addition to not having to worry about the coordination/day-of piece, it was a huge time saver to not have to think about renting tables/chairs/plates/flatware – the venue even provides décor items (e.g., votives, cake stands and cutting knives, card box, etc.) which are all super pretty. The space is great by itself, but is definitely somewhat of a blank slate and can take on completely different looks depending on your flowers/decor. Our 170 guest count felt like the perfect number especially since we had lots of dance-floor enthusiasts in our group.
Our friends and family are still commenting on how wonderful the venue was, from the food to the wine to the space itself. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a more amazing day thanks to Stephanie, Rebecca, and their team - our only regret is that it all flew by too quickly!

There is not enough room on this page to include all of the reasons why I am so thankful that we chose District Winery as our wedding venue. For starters, I was planning a wedding in less than six months while simultaneously planning an overseas move (we moved clear across the world two weeks after our wedding!), so I needed a venue that had everything on-site, that supported me throughout the planning process, and that would be there for me in the days leading up to the event to handle the little details so that I could enjoy my big day. District Winery was all of that and more. From the beginning, Elise was wonderful in giving us all of the information we needed to feel comfortable booking the venue. Then, once Rebecca took over as our day-of coordinator, there was not a single detail that was left unplanned. She was thorough, professional, and understanding of all of the special touches we wanted--including helping us incorporate several military traditions into our wedding (my husband is active duty) that we thought we'd have to sacrifice when we decided not to do a traditional church wedding. On the day of the wedding, I didn't have to worry about a thing. She was always by our side keeping us on schedule and making sure we didn't miss anything, and she even helped pin my dress to hide a tear when one of my more intoxicated guests (hey, at least he was having fun, right?!?) stepped on my gown on the dance floor. I have had dozens of my guests reach out to me since the wedding to comment on how flawlessly the whole event was run, and many of them specifically point to Rebecca and credit her professionalism. On top of all of the accolades for Rebecca, we have had several guests go out of their way to reach out to us after our wedding to tell us that our venue was one of the most amazing they've ever seen. They've raved about everything from the views to the food (SO GOOD!) and from the wine to the incredible wait staff, and each time I'm thankful all over again that I chose the District Winery team to create the wedding of our dreams. -

We had the most amazing experience with District Winery. From scheduling the initial visit, to selecting District Winery, to working with their staff from day one, the whole process could not have been more seamless and fun! They make each couple feel unique, special, and give so much attention to the detail of planning their day. Plus there are so many fun events for the couples to get excited and help plan. Particularly the menu tasting event we had with other couples getting married in our quarter. Our event Manager Rebecca was incredible. She worked with us through all our questions and helped make sure we were comfortable with all the details and made sure our schedule ran perfectly the day of our wedding. Rebecca was extremely knowledgable about all the elements we'd need to have in place and helped facilitate all our logistics, even last minute! There are no words to describe how wonderful, helpful, and thoughtful the entire District Winery team is. This was the first and only venue we looked at - one that captures breathtaking scenery, urban architecture, and an atmosphere unique to DC. From the moment we confirmed our date, Sloan, Courtney, and (last but certainly not least!) Becca and Ryan treated us like VIPs - walking us through each stage of the day and the various decisions we had to make regarding the run-of-show and vendors.
Top notes:
1. We held our ceremony here, as well, and the transition from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception was seamless.
2. The food (hors d'oeuvres, appetizers, dinner and desserts) and drinks were the best we've had at a wedding - a sentiment echoed by our guests and family members.
3. Despite having a wedding of 175 people, we had enough space for a full band and spacious dance floor.
4. Having the heated outdoor terrace space was priceless - many guests moved between the outdoors and inside and sat by the fire pit.

We got married at District Winery last weekend, and it was amazing! First off the venue is gorgeous - try finding another venue that is a winery on the water in a major city! DW is full service and their decorations, tables, chairs, china are all classic and beautiful, a stunning backdrop that only requires hiring a DJ, photographer, and florist to take care of the rest. They even include an amazing and professional Day of Coordinator! We did the family style fried chicken and hanger steak, and our guests have not stopped talking about how great the food and wine was.
More importantly, the team at District Winery made us feel like royalty. Rebecca was our day of coordinator, and she really took care of us. She made our wedding go off without a hitch, and she didn't let us worry about anything. We were running late to the venue after taking photos around DC, and Becca still snuck us in and out of the Barrel Room to take photos without our early arrival guests seeing us. She fixed my impossibly long train before I walked down the aisle, ushered us away to the bridal suite after our ceremony (and didn't let anyone in so that we had 10 minutes to ourselves), made sure we ate, but gave us enough time to say hi to all of our guests during dinner, and miraculously shuffled approximately 100 of our (rowdy) guests outside to do a beautiful sparkler exit. The rest of the team was incredibly nice and professional. Our guests all raved about the service. They helped us have the best night of our entire lives!
Two notes about DW:
- book as far in advance as possible because they book up fast, but don't be afraid of winter weddings as the venue is just as beautiful when it's dark out.
- make sure to buy flip flops for your female guests for dancing, DW does not allow bare feet in the venue (understandably). -

AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING! We got married in October of 2018. We found and booked with District Winery before it was even built. Courtney was our day of contact but even before she was our person the entire wedding team at District were more than helpful to us. This place really knows how to put on a wedding. They think of everything and are so welcoming and helpful. There were so many things that our guests said happened throughout the night that the venue took care of and we didn't even realize they did. They go above and beyond in the details. Also I can't leave a review without talking about the AMAZING food. We did family style with steak and fish. Everything was cooked to perfection and the service was phenomenal. The entire team made us feel like family and that they were just as invested in our special day as we were. Even during the most stressful times of wedding planning they were extremely helpful and willing to work with us. We are so grateful for the amazing team there, especially Courtney! (she is seriously fantastic) I could not recommend this place more highly. -

We could not have chosen a better reception location for our wedding! The food and dinner service was absolutely amazing. We really enjoyed the family style dinner matched with the farm style long tables. We were really hoping for a "Thanksgiving style family dinner" vibe...and this is exactly what we got. Our guests have not stopped raving about the food ever since. I have had several folks tell me our food was the best wedding food they have ever had. The atmosphere and location is perfect and we loved that our guests had the chance to experience the beautiful Navy Yard neighborhood and all it has to offer. The space itself is perfect for a reception. Our guests were able to enjoy cocktails on the covered balcony (it was a bit rainy and cold that day and DW accommodated by covering the balcony so our guests would be comfortable) and a live Mariachi band while the dinner space was prepped. Everything about the space and location has been perfectly thought out to ensure a coordinated flow for the event. Everything went off without a hitch. We were SO SO SO SO happy with it! District Winery is the PRIME wedding reception location in DC. We would recommend this location to anyone and are actually looking forward to getting to go to another wedding at DW soon (crossing fingers!) -

We got married at the District Winery in August 2018 and had THE best experience. I didn't have to worry about a single thing. The venue is naturally beautiful and Courtney is hands down the BEST to work with. She handled every. single. thing. the day of the wedding and I didn't have to worry about a single thing. We didn't have a wedding planner and she handled everything. She's a total stress absorber and handled everything and every vendor throughout the day. I showed up the day of the wedding not quite sure how things would look (we live in Denver, so were planning from afar) and it was GORGEOUS. I can't reiterate enough how incredible Courtney is to work with. I wouldn't change a thing.
In terms of the venue, everything was great! We still get compliments on the food and how great everything looked - which is all thanks to Courtney, the team, and our other vendors.
Only two things I would note for District Winery:
1. People were on the dance floor for most of the night and it was full with 160 people.
2. You need to take EVERYTHING home at the end of the night (i.e. everything you brought with you that day - you can't pick anything up the next day). I probably should have assumed this, but it was still a surprise to us - very possible Courtney told us and we just forgot. -

So Beautiful!
We recently had our wedding at District Winery (9/22) and everything about our experience was just perfect. From the venue location, to the service provided by staff - everything went off without a hitch! Since our wedding, I've gotten compliments from family & friends on how organized the whole experience was & how the service they received through dinner was above and beyond any other wedding they'd been to.
We worked with Rebecca Chuvalas as our day-of coordinator & she is ON POINT. We didn't worry about a thing on our wedding day because we had such confidence that she had everything under control. I cannot recommend all of the staff at district winery enough- from the individuals involved in the booking process, to the coordinator assignment, to the servers & bartenders - everyone will exceed all expectations.
If you're looking for a unique space (and some DELICIOUS wine & drinks) in the heart of the city, but without a ton of city bustle - district winery is your place. The value is amazing because they include EVERYTHING (including decor!). HIGHLY recommend! -

Kara Sent on 09/27/2018Having our wedding at District Winery was honestly a dream come true. My husband and I actually stumbled upon DW by accident, after we got engaged down on the SW Waterfront, and were walking along the boardwalk. We saw this impressive building under construction, just as they were putting the "District Winery" sign up on the front, got a gut feeling about the place and decided to investigate. We couldn't have been more right.
From the very beginning, this team took care of us- Renee in sales answering all of our questions and working with us to secure our date and contract, Rebecca fielding emails, doing walk throughs, and keeping us up to date, and of course Courtney, who became our sherpa through the wedding process- she went out of her way to make sure that we felt comfortable at every turn and managed the heck out of the day. She had all angles covered, moral support, logistics, keeping people on task and on time, she truly is amazing and we can't thank her enough. The entire team through out the night was truly amazing- so many people came up to me afterwards to say how great the food and service was, and of course how beautiful the space itself was.
I couldn't recommend DW more- they'll give you a perfect experience that's right for you. -

Katy Sent on 09/23/2018My husband and I got married at District Winery in May of this year and had a wonderful experience with them. Everything felt very luxurious and I think our guests had a wonderful time - some told us it was their favorite wedding they had been to! The staff is really top notch -- my friend told me that she and a few others were standing talking and a staff member discretely set a table down among them so they could lean and rest their drinks.
Food was really important to us and the quality and service were great. The tasting event was fun, you go to a big sit down dinner with other couples who have upcoming weddings. It's clear they take a lot of pride in this event and it was hard to choose from among the items.
The venue looked stunning day of. It was a big comfort to me that we were prepared for anything, rain or shine. The service was inside, we moved to the deck for cocktails, and then back inside for dinner. The deck has a retractable roof, heat lamps, and even clear sides, so really you are prepared for everything besides the very worst weather!
We worked with Rebecca and so we didn't need to hire a day-of coordinator, which was another bonus. She was extremely professional and made sure everything ran smoothly. We felt very reassured having her on their team.
I would recommend this place to couples looking for an elegant, low-stress wedding. We hired a DJ, officiant, and florist but everything else was taken care of and was lovely. It doesn't get much easier than that. -

Everything was perfect- it ran smoothly, the staff was all so kind and helpful, everything was done the way we asked, the food was amazing; I could go on and on. Rebecca, who we worked with throughout and who was our day of coordinator, handled everything flawlessly, from keeping us on time to making sure our guests were taken care of to making sure our photographer got great shots, and everything in between. The space is beautiful and set up to run your wedding seamlessly. Can't recommend highly enough!!
