I couldn't reccemend District 5 enough! I was looking online to help me find a wedding dress in my price bracket and District 5 seemed almost too good to be true. I did my research, I heard great things about the boutique and read all the reviews. I was nervous as it was my wedding dress and I live in Sydney, Australia but Theresa really put me at ease with her fast responses everytime. My dress said it would take 16 weeks to be shipped and I think it was ready a week or 2 before that, then once shipped it arrived within 4 days! I love my dress and couldn't be happier. -

My son was getting married and I needed the "perfect" dress for this occasion. I found several dresses at District 5 Boutique that looked promising and ordered them. I did call prior to my order and spoke with Theresa and inquired about their return policy as I did not want to have a problem returning the dresses that I did not want to keep. Theresa was so kind and understanding and made the process seamless for me. I found the "perfect" dress, sent the others back and I could not have been more happy with my choice and receive numerous compliments. I have another wedding coming up next year and am already looking at the selection from District 5 Boutique and am hopeful that I will find my next dress there. -

Shopping for that "perfect dress" for my daughter's wedding was exciting and challenging. Theresa was incredible to work with. She was so responsive and supportive throughout this process. She reassured me as we tried a few dresses that the "perfect dress" would be found and she was right!!! She has beautiful dresses, a creative eye, patience, and an ability to connect with those she works with. I was thrilled with the dress and the service. Theresa was extremely helpful and flexible throughout the entire process. I originally purchased what was going to be my wedding gown from her, but it unfortunately did not work out. I decided to get my rehearsal dinner dress from her instead. She was excellent about making sure that I was happy. She ordered the dress in my size and sent it to me to try on before I committed to buy it. She was extremely flexible in making sure that I was happy with my purchase. I would absolutely recommend her again and again, and will be back if I ever need another amazing special occasion dress. Although I didn't get my wedding dress from her in the end, I would definitely encourage anyone considering it to do so. It is stressful buying your wedding gown online, but I trusted Theresa throughout the entire process and I am still glad that I did. I instead have an amazing gown to wear to my rehearsal, and I am more than happy to support a business like hers. She will not disappoint you (and her gowns are AMAZING!). -

I have never written a review for anything before however I am so blown away by the quality of service that I felt I must. I had fallen in love with a dress that was over my budget in a store and searched everywhere online for it. District 5 had my dress on sale for almost half the price of everywhere else. None the less I was still hesitant to order such an expensive dress online but decided to bite the bullet. I received my dress within a week of ordering and it is exceptional! I have recommended District 5 already and will continue to purchase from them!!!

Theresa is the most amazing vendor I have in my entire wedding. She responds to phone calls and emails extremely quickly. Her pricing is the best anywhere, and I did my research. I went to many manyyyy stores and no one even compared to the customer service Theresa gave me. I ordered by bridal gown, and then a few weeks later I realized I needed more buttons so she made sure the extra buttons came with dress. Also, no other store gave me such an early delivery date. Even with a minor sizing issue (my fault for ordering too small) she is making everything work. I will most definitely be going back to her for more dresses for my bridal party, and then some. I found a Tadashi dress in the department stores that I wanted as my bridesmaids dress. After searching online, I found District 5 and Theresa was able to order 6 dresses for me at a great price. Due to a short delay from the manufacturer (not her fault), she surprised me by adding a shorter version of the dress in the shipment for me! I quote her when she said she didn’t want to cause me any frustration during my wedding planning process :) My bridal party looked fabulous and everyone at the wedding was in awe! Highly recommend Theresa for a seamless ordering process at a bargain! -

Most amazing Customer Service EVER. This woman has been a godsend. I knew I wanted a Sue Wong for my wedding dress (it is a 20's/30's theme) but living in MI it's very hard to find them and not be able to try them on and pick. Theresa has been so patient with me and so kind through the whole ordeal. I just ordered ANOTHER one from her and hope this is it. Her selections are bar none. She has even found me the dress I had been searching for for about 8-10 months. She is AMAZING. I will never buy another dress from a department store, she is too good to me. District 5 Boutique has given me the best service online I've ever received. I was purchasing my wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses. The owner of the shop Theresa helped me every step of the way even during Hurricane Sandy. I wish every online experience was this good. If you're planning an event or a wedding etc your first choice should be District 5 . Also, as I'm in the UK and she's in the US she stayed late In order to communicate with me. Choosing your wedding dress is very important, but care in service is equally important. -

I am so unbelievebly happy with the service Theresa provided. I was unsure of purchasing a dress of this stature online, but her advice was invaluable. My Tadashi Shoji arrived on the EXACT day (in Australia) that Theresa said it would - dress was posted on 26 Sept and I received it on 3rd October. It is SPECTACULAR and it fits perfectly!! I would definitely recommend District5Boutique to "select" friends only....can't have all my friends looking as good as me! -

I was rather reluctant in purchasing a dress online without the customary - "trying on see if its" - Not only did you make your recommendations you also mailed me an additional dress one size up in the event that the size I was hoping for didn't fit. Amazing Store
Not only do they have wedding dresses, but a full collection of Couture dresses too. I wound up choosing a Couture dress for my wedding and couldn't be more thrilled. I'm living in Canada and there aren't many options where I am at. But they not only offer shipping to Canada, but it doesn't cost me an arm and a leg to get it here. Absolutely wonderful service. Teresa was just fantastic. I had called her before I ordered the dress to ensure it would arrive on time and the sizing, she was so helpful and assured me it would fit and arrive on time. The package arrived a day early, perfectly wrapped and excellent quality. I ordered an expensive dress over $500+ and it was just perfect.

Buyers beware! You will never get your dress!
BUYERS BEWARE! I ordered a $8,000 Georges Hobeika dress for a very special occasion. I was reassured that the dress would arrive prior to my event. I even paid an $750 expedite fee to ensure this. You can only use WhatsApp to communicate with customer service, which is frustrating in itself, however the good news is I have ALL the communication saved now as proof.
I was in contact with a rep named "Febe" almost everyday who reassured me that my order was right on track. Well, fast forward 4 weeks, now 5 DAYS before my event and my dress still did not arrive, they still did not provide any tracking or any information on arrival date. I was so frustrated that I reached out to the Hobeika's headquarters in Beirut to try and get some information about my dress since District 5 would not tell me anything. The Hobeika rep told me that not only did District 5 never pay them to process the order but even if they did, it takes a minimum of 40 DAYS to produce this dress! So I was doomed from the beginning and District 5 led me on for 4+ weeks.
So, 5 days before my event, I had NO dress and was left in a very compromising position. What's worse is, they didn't even care! There was no attempt to help by sending me another comparable dress, offer any sort of compensation, or try to make the situation better. I was met with a fake apology that "we are very sorry you didn't get the outcome you had hoped for." Really? Outcome I had hoped for? How about District 5 FAILED to do their job and caused an innocent customer extreme stress and anxiety. They thought giving me a refund for a dress I never received was enough to make up for their unprofessionalism and scamming ways.
The rep at Hobeika told me that they have MANY clients that have gone through the same thing with them and to order from them directly next time. Save yourself the stress and DO NOT shop here. I went through hell with ZERO care or help from customer service! Even the owner didn't respond back to me! HORRIBLE! -

Buyers BEWARE: Do not trust District5, Auraelis Couture, or Sector 15 Enterprises
I'll lead with: anything you buy, use credit card for payment.
That is the only recourse you have if your vendors don't deliver, and there is a world of scamming happening to unsuspecting couples who paid with something other than CC.
This company, and the affiliated design house Auraelis Couture LLC, can only be described as online fraud.
They initiate a "pre-order" process for a gown, and do not deliver. Their office and communications may respond in a timely manner, but it is only to placate the fact that nothing is in production. I ordered a dress 3 months before my event date. Maintained regular check-ins with the Customer Service Office to ensure things were on track. I was given every assurance there were no issues or delays. In fact, communications from the company continued to assure everything was well-in-hand, production pace was steady and delivery would happen on time.
When their 8 week delivery date was missed, the language was "we are expediting". Still nothing. A week past THEIR final 10 week deadline, I received this...
"We understand the sense of urgency and regret the inconvenience this has caused you. This is why we have escalated this concern to our Management for an immediate review and resolution. We have also taken the necessary action to expedite this order.
We have received an acknowledgement on this request and is only awaiting the tracking details.
While we wait, I would also like to have a back-up resolution for you. Indicated in the below photos are the dresses we can ship to you overnight/express."
Why would I need a backup if you are awaiting tracking details and this is on its way out?
Moreover, why would I give you anymore money when it is abundantly clear the initial thousands of dollars does not secure me my purchased product?
For days I received no follow-up communication from anyone tied to this business. NOTE: Their entire product is manufacturing dresses for weddings and big events.
I never received product.
I never received the truth about what happened to productivity.
I was lied to up to, and even past, my deadline; which was another 3 weeks following their 10 wk deadline.
I still have not received the promised full refund
and we are weeks past the written commitment to reimburse.
I have initiated fraud report through my credit card company to get my money back through that channel. -

Disappointing Experience with District 5 Boutique Website "Scam Website"
I am extremely disappointed with District 5 Boutique. I ordered a dress in June 2023, expecting delivery within six weeks as promised. However, they failed to deliver on time. I requested a refund, but as of now—more than a year later—I still have not received my 11,000 SAR (approximately 2,950 USD). My ordr ID was 19514. District 5 boutique are THIEVES!!
I ordered a dress from this website, and the amount is very large. The dress is for my daughter’s wedding, and I have bought all the accessories that match this dress. The order was placed on May 15, as shown in the picture, and I have waited for six months until now, but I still haven’t received my dress. I have continuously contacted them, as shown in the picture, and the response was always that the order is being processed and I would be notified of the delivery date, despite my insistence on the urgency of the delivery due to the importance of the occasion. To this day, I haven’t received my dress, nor have I received a refund. After threatening to take legal action and write about my bad experience on social media, they decided to inform me that they had changed their payment system and that they hadn’t received the amount, despite having evidence on my end of the payment being completed and them receiving the amount. I even received an email with a tracking number to follow up on the purchase. I warn you not to deal with them because they are dishonest and use fraudulent and delaying tactics to deceive customers into thinking that the purchase will arrive soon. In reality, they are just thieves. -

Deceitful Company
I purchased a gown that ended up not fitting me properly. The gown cost over $4200. I returned it and was told that, because it was a pre-order, I would not receive a refund, but would receive store credit instead. While annoying, I was fine with that. I was not, however, fine with anything that happened with District 5 from that point on.
To utilize my store credit from the returned gown, I ordered a different gown in September of 2023. Per Disteict 5, the gown was to be delivered in March of 2024. The gown never arrived.
In April, I emailed District 5 several times to inquire about the status of the order and no one ever responded. I finally connected with someone there through a what’sapp message and they apologized and confirmed that there was a delay with my order. They offered to allow me to replace the delayed gown with another gown that they had in stock, which they promised to send out right away, or they said I could wait for the delayed gown. They have a very limited stock of items, so I opted to wait for the gown I ordered.
A few days went by and then they messaged me to say that they are no longer able to fulfill any orders from the designer of the gown I ordered. This was now SEVEN MONTHS after I first placed the order and days after they told me its delivery was forthcoming. Their website and email advertisements also continue to promote pieces from that same designer. This was incredibly frustrating, but I moved on and decided to spend my store credit on another gown.
I placed another order in June, again to try to utilize the store credit from the initial returned gown. To my shock, I received a message several days later saying that my credit had expired and could not be used for any items other than a very limited number of items they have in stock. After SEVEN MONTHS of silence from District 5; after promise after promise that my order was just delayed; they have decided just to keep the over $4,200 I originally paid for the returned dress unless I take one of the small number of items they have on the hanger. This is absolutely ridiculous.
Do not under any circumstance purchase from this deceitful company. -

This website is a total scam. You order something, and it never arrives. When you ask for a refund, they refuse and offer store credit instead. I ordered three dresses three months ago, all marked as ready to ship, but they never came. I've been chasing them for a month, but they never respond. It's like they want you to believe they're "working on it," but you never get any answers or your money back. It's not just me; around 15 of my friends have had the same experience. They offer discounts to entice you to buy, but what's the point if you never receive your order? When I asked about my dresses, they pushed me to buy something else from their outdated collection. They make you feel like you're begging for a favor. And now, my sister's dress, ordered seven months ago and supposedly ready to ship, never arrived either. When she asked for a refund, they said they'd deduct 30%. It's outrageous! How can they penalize us when they're the ones who messed up? Their customer service is a joke. It's unbelievable that this website is still up and running, scamming people left and right. -

DO NOT waste your time with them. They lie, ignore your calls, messages and don’t refund you your money. I’m fighting to get my money back that I paid with a debit card of over $2200.00. It’s been over 4 weeks already and still no refund. Save yourself the pain frustration and headache from them. They canceled my order 2 days before my daughters wedding while I was checking in with them for 3 continuous and constant months for this not to happen. Hundreds of messages were sent but my gut kept telling me this would happen and sure enough it did. They literally left me stuck and didn’t even offer any options or try to smooth things out. Run don’t walk away
I found a dress on their site that was impossible to find anywhere else. Sold out. I messaged them through WhatsApp and asked about the return policy. They said if it was an in stock item I could return with a 15% restocking fee. The item was listed as in stock. All LIES. I placed my order. More than a month later, no dress and no update. They claim they are getting it from the designer. The dress is sold out with the designer. As I was checking updates through their website, my order was converted from in-stock status to pre-order stays. How can that be with an item that is from a previous season? Makes no sense. There was no communication about this change in status or delay. When I finally got a response through WhatsApp, they said it will be arriving soon. I explained my elopement date and they made no comment. My elopement is in a week. No dress. No update. I do not even know if the dress will fit or will need alterations. They are now claiming I am only entitled to a store credit. Returns are only for store credit. I have not even received an item to return for store credit. They will only respond through WhatsApp after a lot of messages. Very slow. And there is never any information. Just awaiting our processing team. This company is completely unprofessional and will not give you your money back. I have launched a complaint with Amex for unethical business practices. -

They stole my $1,625.00
I purchased a Faoud Sarkis dress which they lied and said he woukd make a 16 for me and he woukd not. They knew he would not make the dress and the finally acknowledged it but they are REFUSING to give my money back. They have ignored me and my lawyer and lied numerous times. I just want my money refunded.

Extremely poor unprofessional company , had very sad bad experience , I regret dealing with them
I’m very frustrated and disappointed by the companys’ poor communication, handling and service.. This is my first and last time to order from them I really regret it.. I confirmed my order on 9th May, 2023 and it cost me $4,221.5 USD, and since that time I did not get any proper update and follow up from them about anything for 3 months from the order, and clearly from their replies in whatsapp that they don’t know where is the dress! I can understand in case of any delays if they explained for me the reasons providing me the updated accurate realistic time frame as it is mentioned in the terms and conditions but nothing no respect, no update, no follow ups. I had a party plan date for that dress and no one was providing me any update!! The terms and the conditions is applied on both of us, and their part is to provide an accurate estimate and realistic time frame to their costumer who trusted them and paid in advance so it was not for free! All I wanted is a proper update and a respectful service from them which I did not see at all unfortunately. I’m the one who always asks for updates and their answer is that they are waiting their processing team to update me for 3 months after purchasing the order and they never get back to me to explain anything!!! They never start any conversation nor follow up with me about anything and this is unacceptable at all and unprofessional way to deal with their customers who trusted them. I did not expect that from them. When I tried to reach their manager through instagram they were deleting my comments!! After three months they replied to get my money back in my wallet in their site and I refused this option and asked them to refund the amount to my bank account and until today I didn’t receive anything now for another two months. such unprofessionalism I did not see in any other company!! my party was postponed and they Ruined all my plans , I had to change everything since the decorations and colors of flowers was based on the dress!! And until today @district5boutique did not return my money back! I have wasted my time and money with them they don’t respect their customers please do not order from them they don’t follow their own terms and conditions!!! Such a bad experience -

No Dress No response No money
Vendor will respond if you have questions and havent ordered from them . As soon as you pay it, forget getting any response from them. I am out 815$ and no dress for my daughters wedding which is in a month! I am very frustrated! This is a scam site! Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY! -

Terrible!!!
I ordered a dress for my mother-in-law from them not only did they send the gown with a damaged zipper I contact them, and they had me send a video of the damages, and after approving my request to return they received the gown and they received it on May 31 it is now July 29 and they have yet to refund the gown. I have contacted them several times and every single time they say their accounting department is processing the refund or some other excuse. So beware before ordering a gown from them and have to return. I am now disputing the charge with my credit card company. I’ve attached some of our conversations just to show future customers that they need to be careful with this type of company who does not issue a refund. -

Biggest disappointment- no dress!!!
Paid for my dress. They said it was ordered with designer and in "Awaiting Confirmation" status- which is NOT included in processing and delivery time of 3 - 4 weeks. After 3 weeks of "Awaiting Confirmation" and asking for some movement, I contacted the designer directly who stated they had NO order awaiting confirmation from District 5. No manager from District 5 ever contacted me to explain. I had to do a chargeback and file a claim through my AMEX to get my money back. Designer responded promptly to me and my dress is on its way in just one day. District 5 seems to be a dream come true on line but terrible nightmare to get a mother of bride gown. -

Awful experience every time I tried to order
Awful experience multiple times. I have tried to order from this store multiple times. Twice, I was told several weeks after I placed my order that they cannot produce the dress. Then they refuse to refund the money even though they are the ones cancelling the order. Once, I placed an order and was told it can be done in a specific color and then was told 5 weeks later (!) That it cannot be. They have terrible communication, don't respond in a timely manner, and then steal your money by cancelling your order and refusing to refund it. -

Buyer beware
I ordered a dress for the 1st time from them. It was an item in stock, which according to their terms is refundable, provided the merchandise was in good condition with tag attached etc. The dress was from a UK designer. When it came i took one look at it and knew it was too small. I repackaged it in the original packaging and returned it the next day, without even trying the dress on. Now they're saying I cannot get a refund because I damaged the dress, with a hole and cut the bottom. These dresses are expense. Why would I damage it and deny myself the option to receive my full refund! Then, they had the audacity to send me a picture of a dress that's a different color from what I ordered.
Please becareful! Examine everything you receive from them. Better yet. ORDER NOTHING from they. They are extremely dishonest!!

Very possibly a scam site. Please be careful.
I must unfortunately leave a very negative review for this seller. My experience with them has been completely outrageous. District 5 Boutique took payments for several orders over a year ago, to then cancelled the invoices, keeping both the money and the orders.
I have reached their customer service for months, to be constantly told about it 'being forward to the higher management', without ever getting an actual response nor a solution.
Please beware this seller; avoid it at all costs! It is definitely a scam. -

Beware of this unethical designer dress company
I had a terrible experience with this designer dress company and want to warn others to avoid doing business with them. I paid $1000 for a dress, but they sent me the wrong one and refused to issue a refund within their stated 10-day return policy when I returned it. Not only that, but they charged my credit card for a product I did not authorize. When I contacted the company to try to resolve the issue, they were rude and unprofessional and threatened to fight my credit card company if I disputed the charge.
This company's lack of professionalism and unethical behavior is completely unacceptable. I would strongly advise against shopping with them. There are plenty of other reputable companies out there that will treat you with respect and integrity. -

Worst experience EVER!
Ordered a dress in February for 8-10 weeks preorder. Dress finally came in 16 weeks later and it was the wrong dress. The event I ordered the dress for came and went, they have the audacity to try and only give me store credit. Charge has already been disputed with Amex. Do not shop here!!!! -

Very poor customer service and huge letdown
It is impossible to get a hold of anyone phone or email? My story goes, me and my cousin traveled to NYC from Kuwait 17 hrs flight to get two dresses for my brothers wedding. Searching online we came across this site, checking their website we liked what we saw (look can be deceiving). The owner send us the direction for her store which end up being A house residential neighborhood 50 mint from NYC in Nj, At first we were shocked, excited and skeptic to get in, eventually we got in try couple of dresses then made a purchase $9,700 with the understanding that she will Express ship the dresses to Us. Now time is running out and I've been trying to get a hold of anyone for the past week and yet to get a respond. I don't know what to do? I'll be back update my review. I hope this review and feedback will be helpful for everyone. -
