Joseph is awesome! When we first started looking for officiants, Joseph stood out to us because of his care, attention to detail, and eagerness. He connected us with a fantastic photographer as well! Even within our short time frame, Joseph took the time and effort to really get to know us as a couple and really make our ceremony special. The perfect officiant!

Joseph was such a joy to work with. Even though we were planning our elopement from across the country in South Carolina, he made it feel as personal as possible. He spoke to us on the phone, had us fill out a questionnaire and really got to know us before he wrote our ceremony. The ceremony felt like it fit us so perfectly. When we made it to Hawaii, Joseph insisted we meet him for coffee before the big day and I am so glad we did. Not only is he kind and an amazing officiant but also a wealth of knowledge about Maui. When we walked on the beach for our ceremony it felt like we were there with a friend because Joseph made us so comfortable. Thank you Joseph! We owe you a visit next time we are in Maui.

We love Joseph!

Though we decided to do a destination wedding, it was still important for us to have Jewish traditions in our ceremony. Joseph was able to help us with this and ensured that all of the our traditions were included. He was very knowledgeable about Judaism, the traditions and even taught us a lot! What was most special about Joseph and our experience is that he really wanted to get to know us. He took his time and had several at-length conversations with us over the phone. This allowed him to make our ceremony so special and personalized. He also met with us the day prior to our ceremony and even offered to meet with us before we left the island. He takes the couples that he weds very seriously and wants to keep a close relationship with them. He is truly one of a kind. Our family and friends had such great things to say about the ceremony that he created for us. Thank you Joseph!

Professional And Personal

We considered several options on different websites looking for an officiant in Maui at the end of February. After talking with Joseph we learned that he was the most personal and had very much respect for the act of marriage and very respectful for our special day. We were able to easily communicate with Joseph, we knew what we were paying for and thought value compared to other options was top notch. A Wonderful Experience!

We had a wonderful experience working with Joseph and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an officiant here on Maui. We loved Joseph's collaborative approach to the ceremony and enjoyed the ability to really personalize it to fit who we are and what we wanted. We were looking for a light-hearted ceremony that incorporated elements of the Jewish tradition while staying away from it feeling overly religious. Joseph struck a perfect balance and delivered a ceremony that was everything we could have hoped for. Wonderful Experience, Thank you!

Joseph was exactly what we were hoping for as the officiant for our wedding. He was so personable and make it so easy for us. Amazing, everything we hoped for 🥰

Wonderful, Perfect, Amazing

We cannot say enough about how easy and wonderful it was working with Joseph. He gave us the ceremony we dreamed of and we would recommend him to anyone wishing to get married.

We decided to get married about a month before our vacation to Maui, thinking it would be an amazing place to have our ceremony. Having never been to Hawaii, and knowing nobody on the island, we started looking into the process and at possible officiants. What stood out about Joseph was not only that he performed ceremonies large and small, but he was one of the very few that wasn’t trying to “sell” you something. Most places offered wedding packages, which wasn’t what we were looking for. As it would only be the two of us, we wanted a simple ceremony on the beach. Not only did Joseph deliver on what we wanted, he made it easy every step of the way. Starting with our first conversation, Joseph was solely focused on what we wanted, and gave us a ceremony that was personal and tailored to us. Simply, we could not have dreamed of a more perfect ceremony.

Wonderful experience

Joseph was the perfect officiant for us! He cares so much about the wedding couple and tries to create an individualized picture-perfect ceremony. Reliable, Stress free and Amazing

I happened upon Joseph’s website in my search for an officiator.
I was in Ghana (west Africa ) when I first contacted him. My responses to his emails were slow but he was very accommodating and held our dates for us.
We were able to rest and enjoy our time in Maui as Joseph handled all details for our special day, from photo to video to my bouquet to a last minute location change .
He’s also a very sweet Man and he customized the ceremony to suit us perfectly. I highly recommend him !! Definitely a 5 star experience

Personal touches and respect for your relationship

Joseph was a delight to work with as we planned our commitment ceremony! He was very thoughtful about incorporating details about our lives and our relationship into the ceremony, and also added some special requests that we had made. We met with him the day before our event, and we had a wonderful connection which made the ceremony that much more relaxed and personal. He honors the Hawaiian culture and traditions (such as a conch blowing, if desired) while assuring that your ceremony is just what you have in mind. We highly recommend Joseph Narrowe as an officiant - you can't go wrong!

Perfect Experience

Planning a destination wedding can be a difficult and stressful process and the person officiating your wedding is one of the most important things you chose. We were lucky enough to find Joseph early on in the process and the experience could not have been better. Joseph immediately set up a call with my husband and I because he wanted to know about our relationship and what we wanted in our ceremony. Through conversations and a comprehensive worksheet, Joseph was able to craft a beautiful ceremony that suited us perfectly. The first time I read it I cried! We met in person in Maui. Joseph was the officiant at our wedding in Maui and he was wonderful!

As we started to evaluate different individuals to officiate our wedding, Joseph really set himself apart. He was really adamant that the ceremony was about us and helped us think through the perfect balance of what we wanted in our ceremony -- taking into account the personal, religious and family aspects that we wanted to include.

In addition, neither of us had been to Maui before and Joseph was very helpful in identifying beach locales for our ceremony and providing feedback on those locations that others had recommended.

We really struck-up a genuine relationship with Joseph and would recommend him to anyone!

Reverend Joseph married my husband and I on May 19, 2018 (in Kapalua, Maui), and words cannot describe how pleased we were with the ceremony he wrote and delivered. He was such an important part of our big day and we’re so grateful we found him! We first heard about Joseph through a referral, and fortunately were able to meet him and spend some quality time together before our wedding (as we live in Los Angeles and were planning a wedding from afar). Within the first 10 minutes of meeting Joseph, my husband and I intuitively knew he was the one i.e. the right minister for us. He casts a warm, welcoming and friendly vibe that makes you feel like he’s an old friend. Joseph also is intelligent and wise, and we appreciated the frank and profound things he had to say about marriage, as well as what he suggested we reflect on when writing our vows. We instantly clicked with his fun-loving sense of humor, too! Regarding the experience of creating our wedding ceremony – from start to finish, his professionalism, experience and insight, served as a great guide and support. After completing his wedding questionnaire (which was super helpful), he sent us the ceremony and we literally had no requests for revision or edits – it was perfect! The ceremony included everything we wanted and had the balance of the different sentiments we were looking for, to say the least. I also should mention we received so many compliments about Joseph from our wedding guests, so it was even more special to know they genuinely enjoyed the ceremony as well. Joseph is an amazing person, who my husband and I now call our dear friend – and as a minister, deserves more than a 5-star review! :)

We had six weeks to plan a wedding in Maui and hired Joseph Narrowe as our officiant. With no real understanding of how to go about doing this, Joseph was extremely helpful in helping us select a beach location that was away from the crowds and quite beautiful. Furthermore, he tailored and wrote our wedding vows; personalizing them and speaking to us and our relationship. He embraced and understood the significance of the moment, and for that we are grateful. Additionally, he allowed us to bring in our own photographer (someone we hired from the island), which made for a seamless and perfect wedding.

Joseph performed as the officiant in our ceremony, and I couldn't have been happier to have chosen him for our special day. He responded to all emails promptly, which takes a lot of stress off you when you're planning an elopement from afar.
He spent 15 minutes on the phone with me, answering my questions and getting to know me. He immediately made me feel at ease, and I knew immediately that I had chosen the right person.
The day before the ceremony, he met my fiance and I for coffee. It was so nice to get to sit down with him in person before he became such a big part of our intimate moment. I had forgotten to make arrangements to meet a marriage licence agent, but Joseph had the name of a lady who was able to meet with us the next morning. They saved the day!
On the day of our elopement, Joseph was on time, calm and reassuring, and very professional and personable. The ceremony went perfect! The vows were just what we wanted and really reflected us as a couple. Joseph made us feel like he genuinely cared about us and making our union special. And he did just that!
I would highly recommend Joseph! We feel like we have made a friend in him. He is a genuine person who truly enjoys what he does. He is patient, kind, and calming. So happy he was available to be part of our special day.

Joseph Narrowe and I spoke for the first time through the phone. Living in Indiana while the wedding would be in Hawaii was going to be a tricky thing, however Joseph did not let that stop him from contacting and welcoming us. Not only was he kind and understanding, you could really tell this meant something special to him. He did not come to just do his job but as a friend who wanted wished two people the world's happiness. Truly he is an example of what the Aloha Spirit is! And as you can imagine the wedding ceremony was perfect. Well, at least on his part. His patience with our clumsiness however was very warm and professional.

My husband and I tied the knot in Maui on February 20, 2018 and were married by Reverend Joseph Narrowe. We couldn't be happier with Joseph's services to us for our special day. He helped us navigate the steps to getting married oversees without a wedding planner, which was a major bonus for us. Aloha, I generally don't review or comment on service providers. However, in the case of Joseph Narrowe I must make an exception because he is and was truly exceptional. Many, many months ago Barbara and I planned our annual trip to the Islands. As our departure to Maui drew near we decided to add an event--our wedding. Fortunately we found Joseph. He took the time to get to know us, asked all the right questions and composed a beautiful, highly personal and meaningful ceremony. He then braved the traffic to West Maui, obtained the beach permit and perfectly performed our lovely beach wedding. We couldn't be happier.

We could not have asked for a better officiant. Joseph is a truly wonderful person who made our wedding day so special. My (now) husband and I decided to elope on Maui at Leilani Farm Sanctuary. We saw that Joseph had wonderful reviews online and decided to give him a call. We had a great phone conversation with him and he told us what we could expect, and we were excited to move forward with having him officiate our wedding. We then met in person when we got to Maui and he was very flexible and emphasized he wanted to work around our schedule. We got a cup of coffee and he was incredibly kind and warm. It was great to meet him before the wedding day. On the day of the wedding, Joseph exuded a calm warmth that put us at ease and set the tone for a wonderful wedding. The day was perfect - it was a beautiful day among rescued animals in a beautiful setting, and Joseph was a huge part of why our day went so smoothly. Victoria and I were fortunate enough to have Joseph Narrowe be the officiant on our special day. Joseph wasn’t just doing this as his job, he truly cared to meet and spend time getting to know us prior to performing the ceremony. After spending a couple pleasurable hours talking with him over coffee, we left feeling that we now had a “friend” officiating our wedding as opposed to a stranger.

During that time, we went through the ceremony that he would be performing and he took the time to help us tailor it to be our unique ceremony which made the day even more special. Even as a nondenominational officiant, he performed a beautiful Jewish wedding ceremony for us which was even better than we could have hoped. It had all the traditional things that we wanted without having it be overly religious, as my wife and I view our Judaism more as our heritage than that of a strict religion.

As my wife and I drove back to our hotel after our meeting we both felt great that we had an officiant who had also become our friend and frankly is a very cool man.

During the actual ceremony, he took the time to make sure we were feeling comfortable. He even had the foresight to give me some tissues to put in my pocket so that when my wife began to cry I looked like a chivalrous hero as I took out and handed her the tissues.

We would recommend any and everyone to use Joseph regardless of your religious affiliation. He will make sure that your ceremony is exactly what you would like it to be. He is a man who truly cares about what he does and the people that he does it for yet he is also friendly and light hearted who is dedicated in assuring that you get the ceremony of your dreams.

Being from Brooklyn, NY, when my (now) wife and I decided to get married with just a few close friends and family on Maui, finding the right wedding vendors became very important, and extremely difficult. And for a wedding with 12 guests, finding the perfect officiant seemed like the most important task that we had.
After searching the internet and finding a few hopeful candidates, we discovered Joseph. Immediately, his vibe seemed to sit just right with us. We contacted him via email, and right away we appreciated his communication style and general attitude.
When we finally spoke with him, we knew that we had found the perfect officiant, and we booked him right away. It was the right call.
When we finally got to Maui, we got in touch, and he was very friendly and we walked through the details of the ceremony. We didn't even get to meet him until the day of the wedding, but when he rolled in it was like he was a member of the family; calm, cool, friendly, and relaxed. He really epitomized the Hawaiian vibe that we were looking for.
The ceremony itself was perfect, it was the right length, the perfect mix of seriousness and comedy, and the chill vibe that he created blended just right with the small ceremony on the beach.
If you're looking for a super chill wedding officiant, I can't recommend Joseph enough. He even wanted to get together a few days after the wedding for coffee. Such a good dude!

Joesph and the photographer worked together to set up the perfect spot on the beach for us. Our ceremony was completely customized for us. It's was absolutely perfect! I will forever be grateful to him for rescuing after our first experience us and giving us the most beautiful ceremony I could have ever asked for! It was beyond our expectations! He even sent us a copy in the mail of of our ceremony! Joesph is a class act! He is very passionate about what he does and I would recommend his services to anyone who is planning a destination wedding!

We found Joseph through our event planner Pam. He is just wonderful. He specializes in many different types of ceremonies, but my fiancé Casey and I are non-religious. It was very important to us that our ceremony be a reflection of our love. Joseph took the time to meet with us before writing our ceremony vows, he also had us complete a questionnaire so he could better understand our relationship and what is important to us. He included several quotes and poems about love. Including some from one of my favorite poets, Rumi. The ceremony was beautiful and authentic, we just loved it. I highly recommend Joseph for his professionalism, and overall passion for true love.

While on a family trip to Maui in December 2016, my wife and I renewed our wedding vows. Joseph and I planned it months in advance as a surprise for my wife. Joseph and I exchanged emails and phone calls to plan the event. He was flexible about the time and place and helped me pick a beautiful beach spot, since I was not familiar with Maui. We were referred to Joseph by our wedding coordinator and we could not be any happier with our choice. We had talked to a few officiants who were able to perform an interfaith wedding and Joseph made us feel the most at ease with his easy going and friendly attitude. Joseph saved the day! We were introduced to Joseph and had a tight timeline to find an officiant before the big day. Joseph was willing to meet with us and took the time to get to know us as a couple. He asked questions to better understand what was important for our ceremony and was very helpful in planning the logistics. We had a specific vision in mind for our ceremony and Joseph was willing to make our vision come to reality.

During the ceremony Joseph was professional, warm, kind and comforting. He put both my husband and I at ease almost instantly and took the time to talk to our guests and make them feel welcome. The ceremony went off without a hitch. Joseph eloquently incorporated what was important to us with the essential parts of a marriage ceremony. Our guests loved his personality and engaging nature.

My husband Jamie & I were looking to get married in Maui, but had no idea how we were going to plan it or how to find a reliable person to marry us, until I ran across Joseph Narrowe. I saw Joseph’s website and decided to give him a call, after a LONG conversation with him I knew he was the one- the one to marry us that is. While on the phone he put every worry or concern that I had to ease, and said he would plan it all and take care of any special requests that I may have. Before arriving in Hawaii, I changed my mind many times on the bouquet that I wanted for my special day, and every time Joseph got the new bouquet arranged without hesitation, he wanted it to be perfect for us. When we arrived in Hawaii, Jamie & I met with Joseph and it was amazing. After emailing and talking on the phone I already felt like I knew him, but meeting him before the wedding really showed how much he cared about us. At the ceremony Joseph seemed so touched to perform our service, and he really used our “words” and thoughts in the ceremony to make it even more personal. The words and ceremony that he created would have made you thought that he has always known us. Jamie & I were truly touched, and it was truly remarkable. Joseph incorporated some wonderful bible verses that truly meant a lot to us, and he didn’t even know that, he is just that magical. Joseph was such a fun officiant! I really appreciated the time and care he took to make our experience personal and unique. He made sure to call us several weeks prior to the wedding so he could prepare our ceremony and vows, and then met us for coffee once we arrived in Maui. He is very easy to talk to and both of us were immediately comfortable with him. The vows and service he wrote were quite meaningful to us and I appreciate the care and effort the Reverend showed us.

He was very flexible with the type of service, once again really tailoring it to us and our wants and needs. Because we'd never been to Maui, he even helped us pick the beach - which was absolutely perfect, I might add. I loved our wedding! My wife and I couldn't be happier that we chose Reverend Joseph Narrowe to officiate our Maui wedding. We were both fairly particular about the ceremony we had in mind and spoke with more than one officiant before deciding on Rev. Narrowe. We wanted a spiritual but not religious ceremony and Joseph knew exactly how to handle that. He put us at ease on our first call and made a point of crafting the language of the ceremony with our thoughts and ideas in mind. In fact, he incorporated our own vows to each other into his speech when we decided not to recite them ourselves during the ceremony- he worked with us on each detail so that our day would play out as we had envisioned it.

And because we had not met Joseph before we traveled to Maui for the wedding it meant a lot to us that he insisted on meeting with us before our wedding day for coffee. This gave my wife and I a chance to discuss the ceremony with him face to face, and talk to him for a while about our own story that began with a blind date in Chicago.

Was very pleased with the ceremony and photographer. Joseph was very good on the service you just may need him to speak up because of the wind and waves. The only other issue and thought was going to be an issue, was there were 2 other weddings happening @ Sunset. But we were able to go on without any issues.

Joseph was absolutely the best! We appreciated so much having him officiate our wedding. He not only provided the greatest level of support in helping us plan our special day, but he also worked with us constantly from day one to ensure that nothing went wrong on our special day. Joseph really cares about the bride and groom he works with...you could really tell this by working with him. Trust me, if you are a bride who freaks out about having everything be perfect on the day of her wedding, than Joseph is the man for you. He did an excellent job at reassuring me that everything would be fine and really became more than an officiant, he also became a true friend. If we ever visit Maui again, we will certainly meet him for a cup of coffee or dinner. He is now like family. We didn't have much to spend on this wedding and Joseph really worked with us and our budget. He goes above and beyond for the couples he works with, I truly felt that. We had no photographer for our special day, only a professional camera. His wife offered to shoot our wedding and gave us photos that were even better than a professional could provide...she didn't even charge us, how wonderful is that?! I obtained Joe's name from the Jewish Congregation of Maui. As we were having an interfaith wedding they recommended Joe to officiate at a Jewish flavored wedding. Joseph did a wonderful job with our Maui wedding ceremony. Throughout the process he was helpful, patient, thoughtful, and open minded. He met with us and communicated with us over telephone and email numerous times leading up to our wedding in order to determine exactly what we wanted. We were looking for a Jewish ceremony, but with some modifications to not be overly religious. He produced a ceremony that was exactly what we wanted and did a wonderful job delivering it. You don't have to have any fears about planning your wedding with Joseph. We planned our wedding from Australia and did not meet Joseph until the day before the actual ceremony but because of his patient, thoughtful and professional manner, we weren’t worried a bit.

In particular, Joseph handled the delicacies of an interfaith wedding very well. With Joseph, you never have to worry that your officiant will only represent one religion or faith. He is capable of very genuine commentary that highlights aspects of each faith and weaves it all together into a very natural and organic-feeling ceremony. You can tell that a lot of thought goes into each individual ceremony he does.

On the whole, Joseph is truly a first class guy. He took the time to talk with us and get to know us over email and telephone and that really showed in the ceremony he put together. He was, of course, punctual and extremely professional throughout the entire process, and even provided a few recommendations for sightseeing on our honeymoon. What more can you ask for?

I would not hesitate to recommend Joseph to someone else for their wedding - or simply to renew their vows….. ;)

My husband David and I couldn't have been happier with the entire process of our wedding, and our choice for an officiant is one that truly made it genuine, full of love and down to earth. Joe asked the three of us have a phone conversation on the phone months in advance of the wedding. We spoke at length about the kind of couple we are and where we hope to go. I was very impressed with how many great questions he posed, and from then on I knew our ceremony would be very personal and uniquely ours. We had lunch with Joe before the wedding and it felt like we had all been friends for years--almost like family. He sent us a "script" of the ceremony in advance of the wedding and allowed us to make any changes or amendments. We had little or very few changes, as he couldn't have said any of it better--even threw in some of his great sense of humor to lighten everything up. My fiancé and I knew in planning our wedding that we wanted a ceremony that would speak to us! After our years together we agreed that a simple ceremony that reflected on our commitment to each other would have the most significance in celebrating our new life choice. Reviewing the websites of wedding officiants on Maui, we discovered quite a list; many who provided templates for the order of the ceremony and templates for the vows. Looking at Joseph Narrowe’s site we could immediately tell that he offered something different.

On first contact (this was by phone from the mainland) he was quite gracious, listening to our thoughts, getting a feel for who and what we were about. His recommendations for how to get our thoughts on paper were just fantastic! He made things fun and we knew as we ended that first call that we had found our officiant.

Working by email and an occasional phone call we got things finalized beyond what we had hoped to achieve from home. Joseph not only created a wonderful draft of the vows, but he offered suggestions for possible ceremony locations and recommended other ways to make the ceremony special.

After we arrived on Maui, he met with us over coffee and everything about the meeting just reinforced that we had made the right decision. His easy manner and genuine interest in us as a couple, as well as his inclusiveness with my stepson, really showed. In the course of these final preparations he continued to offer ideas for personalizing the service, such as including my stepson in the lei exchange, that reinforced his understanding of what we wanted to achieve in this celebration.

Needless to say, the ceremony went off beautifully. It was personal, warm and even lighthearted at just the right moments! Joseph really made our entire Maui visit an experience to remember. We came away feeling that we had not just made a great contact for this once in a lifetime event, but that we had come away with a new friend. Thank you, Joe!

Joseph did an amazing job on our anniversary wedding vow renewal. I provided him with very little information due to being so stressed out planning the ceremony and he pulled off a miracle. He suggested including our 7 year old twin boys in the ceremony which made them feel so special. Joe was just wonderful to work with and not having the pleasure to meet him yet I felt so comfortable working together over the phone and email and when the day came and we finally met, it was almost like I had knew him forever. We phoned a couple other Officiates before being recommended to Joe and he by far was more pleasant and wanting to please us than the other two were by far.

It was really important for him to get to know us, even though we were on the other side of the world, in Europe. He really cared to make that day special and very personal. While searching online for an officiant for our wedding, we came across Joseph's website and contacted him via email to which he responded very promptly. We got incredibly lucky when we found Joseph to officiate our wedding. After speaking with him on the phone and trading a few emails, he wrote a beautiful ceremony that was so specific to us. We met up with him for a cup of coffee after arriving on the island, and instantly knew that he would do a great job with our wedding. A couple days later (a day later than originally planned thanks to a crazy rainstorm -- we were so glad that we were able to postpone a day and wait for better weather), we met Joseph at the grassy knoll by the ocean that he’d found for us, and he married us. There is so much to write about Joseph, i will try to make it short.
We were planning our really intimate Wedding from Germany. The minute i spoke to Joseph on the phone i knew he was the perfect rabbi, friend and officiant for us. We met Joseph in Maui and the image of him was just as i thought it would be. It felt like we knew each other for a long time already. Not only that Joseph helped us with organizing a great photographer to keep those memories of that special day for us, he was unforgettable. As my Husband isn't jewish but i am, Jospeh perfectly managed a balance of the jewish tradition for me and he spoke wise words and quotes about Love, and marriage on a daily basis for us. We couldn't recommend a better officiant than Joseph Narrowe. Joseph was kind, caring, and thoughtful, and of all the officiants we spoke to before the wedding, he was the only one who made a point of getting to know us first -- even though he lives in Hawaii and we live on the east coast. Joseph did an amazing job with our wedding ceremony. He sent us a questionnaire before the wedding that we filled out together. He used that to create a beautiful ceremony that both my husband and I loved. He incorporated all of the elements that both my husband and I wanted. He helped us incorporate our families in the ceremony which was extremely important to us. The ceremony was the best part of the day and I am so happy that Joseph was the one who married us! Joseph officiated our Wedding ceremony in May. We could not have been happier . He really got to know us as a family and as a couple and captured our story perfectly. We would have no hesitation to recommend him to a friend. I suggest using joseph if you want a sweet and perfect ceremony.

It was so wonderful to work with Joseph and have him be a part of our special day. We met him through a common friend who also went to school with his daughter. Small world, I know. It was so refreshing to meet him in person and discuss what we wanted for our ceremony. Both my husband and I wanted to keep things simple. Joseph really spent the time listening to us, getting to know us individually and together. He crafted a ceremony that truly expressed the nature of our union. It was short, spiritual and perfect. He is a wonderful person and great to work with. He is responsive, courteous, and will make you feel like you have been old friends.

My husband and I were very nervous as we were trying to plan a wedding on short notice from 2700 miles away. I made a few calls to other officiants per recommended by other vendors and none of them we had a connection with - they were all about money and selling us a "package". When I saw Joseph Narrowe's site I knew that he was different. From the moment I first talked to him, I knew that he was going to be our officiant. He was in the middle of his lunch and put it on hold so he could talk to me and get to know more about me and my husband! Joseph gave us an experience and really cared about making our day special. Joseph wrote his speech customized to us and included the story of how my husband and I first met, he truly made the whole experience special and memorable for my husband and I. I highly recommend you give Joseph Narrowe a call, he is an amazing officiant and person who truly cares for his customers, which I feel is harder to find these days. With so many weddings occurring on Maui my husband and I found it challenging to try and create a very simple yet unique experience for both of us.
From the moment I first spoke with Joseph he was incredibly kind and had such a wonderful vibe to him. I feel as though he instantly understood the love that my husband and I share for each other and did a wonderful job capturing that during our ceremony.
Joseph spoke the most beautiful and genuine words and despite the fact that our ceremony was incredibly simple and casual Joseph never treated us any differently than he would someone with a fancier and more extravagant ceremony.

It has been an absolute pleasure dealing with and getting to know Joseph and my husband and I will be grateful for the wonderful ceremony that we received.

Joseph was a pleasure to work with. We were organizing our wedding from Canada and came across Joseph online. When I spoke to him on the phone, I could tell right away Joseph really enjoyed his job and was passionate about being part of people's weddings.

We had a pretty unconventional simple wedding with very little planning. We met with Joseph two days before our wedding. Joseph asked us some poignant questions to get an understanding of us, and we left the rest up to him.

Joseph's ceremony was beautiful. He had put so much thought into the words he said and had really incorporated his understanding of us garnered from our meeting. We were very happy with the ceremony and a number of our friends commented it was the most thoughtful and best ceremony they had ever been to. Joseph seemed to really understand marriage in general, and us as a couple. We're really happy we chose Joseph. His ceremony is definitely something we always want to remember as part of our wedding day.

Joseph Narrowe came to the rescue for us with an extraordinarily last minute weeding we decided to plan in Maui. With literally 10 days notice, Rev. Joseph turned our stress-fest into arguably one of the easiest things we have done in a 3 month period, that is including moving and having a child.

From the first phone call, we could tell that this was someone that we were going to be comfortable with and would fit our somewhat specific needs of having elements of a Jewish wedding without being overly religious. We all spoke on the phone for a while, applied for the Wedding License on-line (which was easy), and off to Hawaii we went.

Upon arriving in Hawaii, we picked up our wedding license from the local office (again, very easy) and went to go meet Rev. Joseph Narrowe for a get-to-know-you coffee. We found him to be as personable and welcoming in person as he was on the phone. We were immediately looking at each other with smiles as we know it was going to be a special evening the next day with and we were in good hands. That evening we also did a quick visit to the Beach that he had picked for the location which was stunning.

We arrived at about 5:00 PM the evening. We quickly began the ceremony (which we hadn't seen in advance due to the the quick time constraints) and thoroughly enjoyed the writing he did specifically for our wedding including our vows. The ceremony lasted the perfect amount of time, spoke to our ideals and values and truly made us feel both in love as we committed ourselves to each other. A couple of signatures later, the deed was done and we enjoyed a beautiful Maui sunset as newlyweds.

We have absolutely no hesitation about recommending Jospeh Narrowe of Distinctive Weddings. It was our pleasure to have someone officiate our wedding who took care of our every need, and quite honestly, we felt like we had known for a lifetime instead of for just 24 hours.

Joseph Narrowe was hands-on from the beginning. We knew he was the person we wanted to marry us because of his dedication and sincerity. He truly wanted to get to know us well as a couple and wanting to tailor a service that was the right fit for us from our first phone call. He spent a lot of time on the phone with us (due to our distance) as he patiently explained our options, went over our questionnaire and our ceremony details; making sure everything was exactly what we envisioned for our special day. We were married by Joseph on Maui in October. Although we were unable to meet or converse with him prior to the ceremony, from the moment we met him, we felt very comfortable. I had planned the wedding to be a complete surprise, so he did not have much to go on, but the vows he wrote and the ceremony he performed were meaningful and compassionate to both of us. He has a very easy caring way about himself and it made our special day a beautiful experience.

I would highly recommend him if you are looking for an officiant to make your big day a special experience in paradise.
