Discosapien was the BEST decision we could have ever made for our wedding day. The music was perfectly curated for us and our style of music and there was never a dull moment. Rex did such an amazing job at blending our favorite music and our guests favorite music while creating a party atmosphere without it being very basic wedding songs that anyone could just play off of the phone. I searched high and low for the best DJs to perform at our wedding because music is one of the most important things, especially to my husband and I, and we were truly not disappointed!Discosapien's reply:

Discosapian was very easy to work with when planning our wedding and we felt that pricing, given the professionalism and skills of the DJs were very fair. Huge shoutout for our wedding DJ, DJ Gibby (aka Max Kruse) specifically. Everyone had an amazing time dancing the night away! He ensured the ceremony and festivities went smoothly. We truly had so much fun as he continued to mix in great music that kept everyone on the dance floor. -

Our guests are still RAVING about how fun our dance floor was and about how every song was "so us." When I abruptly told Rex I was ready to move into the faster dance music (after about 2 songs that eased us onto the dance floor) he was immediately on it and launched into the best wedding dance soundtrack I've ever heard. He took our favorite EDM songs and mixed them with pops of funk and rap and added some fun (and dare I say dirty) transitions to the mix as well. Our guests were dancing the whole time and we ended the night sweaty and extremely happy. I highly recommend Rex to anyone who is looking for an incredible and memorable dance floor that is completely catered towards you and your guests. Even my parents who don't know anything about EDM got on the dance floor and exclaimed how fun everything was. Thank you Rex - we loved every minute!! -

We had the pleasure of working with DJ Rex for our wedding, and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. From the start, DJ Rex was attentive and worked closely with us to curate a playlist that perfectly matched our style and preferences. His communication throughout the planning process was excellent, and he was always quick to respond to any questions or requests we had.
On the day of the wedding, DJ Rex truly shined. He effortlessly read the room and played songs that kept the energy high and our guests on the dance floor all night long. His announcements were clear and professional, and he helped keep the evening running smoothly.
One of the highlights was when DJ Rex surprised us with a recording of the mix from our wedding night. It's been such a joy to listen to it and relive those special moments.

Party of the Year!
The Discosapiens were AMAZING! We had so much fun I wanted to cry when it was over! Our dance floor was packed and our guests still talk about the music! It was a blast and we couldn't possibly have been happier! -

We worked with Rex for our wedding and he was wonderful. He was kind, outgoing, flexible and had lots of great suggestions for an optimal experience. He had a helpful template to record all the necessary details for the night. We ended up creating most of the playlists due to our eclectic music tastes but Rex optimized them and even grabbed some great dance mixes of some of our selected songs. He was easy to work with, responsive and very organized. He helped us create a wonderful post wedding dance party where a good deal of the guests were boogeing! -

Discosapien (DJ Rex) performed at our wedding reception at the Denver Botanic Gardens and it was an unparalleled experience. From the initial playlist creation, to custom mashup and song requests, to last minute adjustments day of, Rex was responsive to all of our requests and nailed every small detail the day of. All of our guests could not stop complimenting the music and the amazing atmosphere he created: "I’ve never been to a wedding where guests stayed on the dance floor the entire night”, “His song transitions are so smooth!", “This playlist is NON-STOP incredible”. Huge shoutout to Rex, his wife, and the rest of his team for the immersive lighting setup and photobooth both of which were hits throughout the night. It was an unforgettable night for all and Discosapien was a huge part of it. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND this crew if you are considering them for your event!Discosapien's reply:

DJ Rex is the BEST! We are very particular about our music taste and DJ Rex was spot on for the music and vibe we were looking for at our wedding! We have a love for music festivals, and DJ Rex brought the music festival to our wedding! We love how he played the music/songs we had in mind and mixed in guest’s requests perfectly! The transitions were so upbeat and fun, he truly kept the party going from start to end. We had SO many compliments from the guests on the music, even my grandma was up and dancing telling me how fun this DJ is! 😊
DJ Rex is a real, legit DJ that will not disappoint, thank you for an incredible day we will never forget Discosapien!!

DJ Rex was the best wedding DJ we could ask for! Really people only remember one main thing from weddings, the music and therefore the party. Don't cut corners. Get the best! Rex was spontaneous, fun and kept the party going. When we wanted to party on the deck, he moved the speakers outside. When we wanted to party in the reception room, he moved the speakers back. When he wanted to continue the party in the foyer, he let us blast his playlist while he packed up. He was super adaptable, took requests and read the crowd well. Not to mention he is a REAL DJ who can mash up his own unique music and play more than standard wedding stuff. We left very happy!! -

Rex was great to work with! We wanted very non-traditional music with a ton of Persian songs and reggaeton for the reception. We had a lot of control over the songs which was great, because we could add in more obscure songs. He mixed everything very well, and kept the dance floor bumping! He also mixed our first dance, which was actually 2 song, ahead of time and sent it to us so we could practice beforehand. He was also right on track with keeping events flowing through the night like the father daughter dance and bouquet toss, and checked in with us just enough but not obtrusively so to make sure everything was on track. I would definitely recommend him as a wedding DJ to anyone! -

We hired Discosapien for our wedding and were extremely satisfied with their communication, attentiveness, and execution. DJ Archie did a fantastic job of incorporating all of our song requests and transitioning seamlessly, which kept the dancefloor going all night. We had many New Mexican guests who had very specific songs they wanted played and DJ Archie made sure it happened. I would highly recommend Discosapien to anyone who wants to keep their dancefloor lively throughout the night! -

Stephanie Sent on 11/10/2014Discosapien Weddings was super easy to work with from the first phone call and email! They always responded promptly and were very honest about pricing information. Our DJ was awesome and kept the party going all night, when he saw guests weren't liking the music that was being played he changed it quickly to get everyone back on the dance floor. Everyone loved him. Also, we didn't intend on using him for the ceremony, but when we thought our ceremony musician wasn't going to show (which he ended up showing on time), the DJ was incredibly flexible and offered to do the music for the ceremony if needed. I would recommend Discosapien to anyone, they did an incredible job for an even better price! -

We had our wedding at Flagstaff House during the day in Boulder, Colorado. Being that my husband is a musician, he was adamant about creating some playlists and just doing that for our wedding day. I was so glad to hear he booked Discosapien a few weeks out from our wedding to take that stress off of him ( and me ). They eagerly helped us find an available DJ within our budget.
The process included asking us about our music preferences, and our song choices. They then paired us with a DJ that matched the vibe and availability of the big day. They helped with mics and completed the setup all on their own without much guidance from my husband.
We did have a few hiccups with our preferred songs. None of our songs for the processional and my bridal aisle songs were correct or in the order that was provided several times to the DJ. The DJ also lacked in queuing some of the guest changeovers that we had hoped and instructed him we would like assistance with.
Overall we are glad we went with them but feel the value may have gone farther with a live band. -

The communication between Rex and I was great. We discussed all the extra things we could add on if we wanted. Things were all pretty good except the volume of the DJ. We had a "Dollar Dance" where guests could pay a little bit of money to dance with myself and my husband and a lot of people said they couldn't really hear what he was saying. Other than that, the DJ played the playlist I sent in and took requests. It was overall a good experience and I would recommend them in the future.
