We are an inter-racial, inter-faith couple getting married in Mexico. We were looking for someone who could do a fusion wedding. We wanted Indian music and wanted to balance it out as well. We were worried that Ricardo was not Indian but went with him because he was HIGHLY recommended and had marvelous reviews. We were able to provide him with song lists that we liked and songs we did not want played. He had a lot of Punjabi music which was great but we are not punjabi so we wanted to offer some other selections and he was super responsive and helpful! Ricardo played at two events and was AMAZING! My only wish was that we would have had him longer! He was so good and we loved his style! He even brought out some fun on his own and helped light up the night in a special way! We cannot thank you enough Ricardo and we would tell anyone looking for a great DJ in Cancun or the surrounding areas (we got married in Isla Mujeres) not to hesitate if you are considering Ricardo!
I also have to mention that two of our guests surprised us with a special dance with about 30-40 our of other guests and Ricardo worked secretly with them to pull it off without a hitch! What a wonderful wonderful guy!

Excellent For Weddings
Booked this DJ and did not go with the venue DJ, and so glad I did! The vibe was on point all night, the setup was fantastic, and the setlist hit every request we provided prior to the big night. Very professional company, I highly recommend! We went with the package that included the lights and the dance floor and it did not disappoint!

Great team!
Discomovil was great to work with! They hopped on a video call when we first reached out and then afterwards answered our emails with any questions quickly afterwards. They have a easy to use app to help organize what songs you do and do not want played on your wedding which was helpful in organizing what music was needed for which event of the wedding. They kept the energy up all night and our dance floor was packed all night!

DJ and So Much More!
We were referred to Discomovil by our wedding planner and we were very impressed by everything they had to offer for our wedding - it's a lot more than just a DJ service! Our venue didn't have a power source so they were able to provide a generator. They also offer various dance floor and lighting décor options. I highly recommend the light-up dance floor - all of our guests loved it and it made for some cool photos! Leading up to the wedding, Discomovil had us use an app to build our wedding playlists and answer questions about the event. The app can even sync with Spotify so we just imported our playlists from there, which made it really easy! Martha was super easy to communicate with and responsive when we wanted to check out our options and make changes. Discomovil kept the party going all through the reception and our guests had a blast!

The best event DJ company in Cancun!! They made our wedding reception a hit! My family and friends are still talking about it. They work very well with the resort coordinators and play all the hits you request plus more. Timing is also key with these types of events and they were on cue, every time!! I highly recommend them. Wedding Reception 7.12.24
Ricardo was our DJ for our wedding reception on 7.12.24 and was amazing! He uses an app which makes everything so easy to load playlists and plan. We had zoom call with him two weeks before to go over a few specific asks and he took care of everything for us. Highly recommend letting him mix music, his transitions were great and he kept everyone dancing all night!

The best DJ we could have hoped for

I really loved using the vrbo app that they shared with us! It asked all the write questions and was user friendly to keep everything as organized as possible on our wedding day!
I had a set playlist and disco movil followed it about 80-85%, but did end up playing some of their own songs which was okay but i would’ve enjoyed if they played all our songs with a little less twist.
Overall it was amazing and everyone was always on the dance floor!!

We had a great experience with this vendor! The team is very responsive via email and the app to organize the wedding timeline/songs is easy to use. We chose a few “must play” songs but left the rest up to the DJ. He did a great job matching the energy of our guests and everyone had a great time. We also rented the 24x24 dance floor, which looked amazing in the daylight and at night.

Disco Movil was great ! From the moment I first emailed him himself and his team were super responsive , and very flexible with adjusting my contract to add / remove services. Ricardo did a fabulous job, captured the vibe perfectly! We gave him a few requests to go off, and he selected the rest based on those, and it was perfect. We had a MC up until a certain part, and had her do some introductions, and ricardo do some, so I was worried about it getting messed up, and it didn't, it went extremely smooth! My son had some very specific requests of certain remixes, and he found them for him no problem! Would book him again in a heart beat.

Partied All Night!
We loved Ricardo with Disco móvil! Everything about working with him was smooth. From the seamless booking and communication process, to his wonderful app! It was a pleasure to give him all the details we wanted covered in the app. Plus, we got to add all of the songs we wanted or hear and he did not disappoint in playing them. Ricardo was also wonderful with using the file we sent for our first dance and playing the correct song to allow us to do our choreographed dance. We love hip hop and r&b and he stuck to our genres well. He played almost all of the songs on our list, and added extras that blended so well! He even was so sweet to answer a few song requests that were meaningful to our group. His sound equipment was loud, his lights and Booth complimented our reception space well, and he was positioned in a way that complimented the dance floor. Best Cancun DJ ever. Communication with DJ Discomovil (Ricardo) over email was awesome! I booked him about 11 months in advance. He always responded within hours of emailing and his packages are also reasonably priced. We ended up getting a 12x12 white vinyl dance floor with gold initials, it was super pretty. We even got to choose the font! Ricardo also set us up with an easy app to create our wedding timeline, all the songs we wanted, do-not-play list, etc. He ran through it the day of the wedding which was nice because we had a couple of changes. Ricardo was amazing the entire night - he knew when to amp the crown up/down/etc. He had everyone dancing all night long! Highly recommend DJ Discomovil! 🪩💃

DJ Discomovil was easy to work with and helped us remain stress free when it came to hiring a DJ. He had multiple packages to choose from that were more affordable than the in house DJ. Once we booked him we used an app that made it simple to add our timeline, song choices/playlists and preferences. He kept the party going all night long and stuck to the types of music we typically listen to (which is a pretty large mix of pop, hip/hop, throwbacks, country). Overall, we were very happy we chose him and would rebook him again!!

Best Wedding DJ!
I hired DJ Discomovil based off recommendations from a Facebook group I joined for brides at the resort where I was having my wedding. I am so glad I listened to the recommendations. The app that he uses is very user friendly and helps to map out the reception and set the timeline for your night. I was stressed about having a smaller group than anticipated (we were hoping for 40 guests including us, but ended up with 29) and not having people out on the dance floor. As soon as the dancing portion of the reception started all my worries went away. He had a nonstop party going on the dance floor all night long. All of my guests mentioned at one point or another how great the DJ was and I was so happy to hear it. He took the songs I added on the app and branched off of them to create some amazing mixes in ways that nobody had heard before. The lighting and dance floor that Discomovil provided was also spot on. I cannot recommend using DJ Discomovil enough. One of the best choices I made for our wedding!

Not only that, I sent it to him less than 48hr prior and he was so flexible and responsive! Great DJ for our wedding. Music and dance floor were some of the top 5 most important things for our wedding. We originally booked another DJ, but they had to cancel due to not being allowed at the resort anymore, so we were scrambling to find another one and thankfully they had an opening. They have an awesome app where you input all the information and songs, you can even input directly from other music apps to make things even easier. We had a very specific vibe and playlist we were going for, so we gave lots of direction and they did a great job delivering. Our dance floor was never empty and lots of people never left the floor. Only thing was they messed up mine and my grooms intro song and accidentally played it earlier and messed up the order of our bridal party, not sure how this happened as it was correct in the app, but overall in the grand scheme of things didn't matter.

Discomovil Cancun was fantastic to work with. The app they use to input all our songs was easy to use and even gave song suggestons. The day of our wedding they did a fantastic job of finding songs that weren't well know wedding songs as we had a very wide range of music tastes. Great company!

Amazing for our Destination Wedding!
I chose DJ Discomovil based on reviews from a Cancun Brides Facebook group and they absolutely did not disappoint. They were responsive by e-mail, priced fairly, and when you book, they set you up with an app to choose your songs. The app is organized and easy to use! We requested a majority of alternative/rock even screamo songs (because this is what a lot of our wedding party listens to) mixed with some 2000s rap/r&b and it was AMAZING. I was so nervous with only 27 people that it wouldn't be a great party but because we all knew and loved the songs playing, the party didn't stop until the last minute. I wholeheartedly appreciated that they played what we requested and blended all of the songs so well. If you listen to a different style of music, I highly recommend hiring them for your destination wedding!

Discomovil Cancun was a fantastic DJ for our wedding in Playa del Carmen. Prior to the event, they were easy to communicate with and very responsive to our questions. The portal system for selecting songs was easy to use and helpful for our planning. Everything went seamless the day of the wedding, and all of our guests had an amazing time! We received many compliments on our music, especially the variety of both old and new music. We were extremely happy with their services and would highly recommend to anyone!

It was Awesome!
I highly recommend Disco Móvil Cancun! We had a blast with them, and everyone in our party danced and had a great time! There was a moment that we had forgotten a couple days before to send them some videos to include in the playlist, but they were so helpful and considerate in letting us send it to them the day of the party. I was so happy with the experience we had with Ricardo at DiscoMovil! He made our wedding experience very easy with an app where I uploaded all of the songs for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. The dance floor we rented really elevated the fun during the dance party and he even surprised the guests with some party favors. Ricardo was also very familiar with our venue, Mahekal Beach resort which was so helpful. Would definitely recommend Discomovil to anyone planning a wedding in the Cancun area!

What a party!
Hiring DiscoMovil was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! We spoke with Ricardo twice before our wedding and he was so nice, organized, and easy going. He had an app where we could upload songs and timeline details which was very professional. On the day of, he MC-ed and played our big moment songs perfectly. He also of course did an AMAZING job keeping the party going all night long! We also rented a light up dance floor and disco balls - highly recommend doing this!

Everything with DiscoMovil was great, and our guests are still talking about how awesome the DJ was!! Communication was fast and easy, and the contract was straightforward. The App they sent for putting in song suggestions, timelines, announcements etc was PHENOMENAL! It was so easy and made us confident that the right song was going to get played, and the announcements were going to be correct. Plus, you can make a playlist in spotify and import it, super easy! Non-Stop Dancing & Fun
We chose Discomovil Cancun based on reviews in a Facebook Brides group for the resort that our wedding was located and we are SO glad we did. We opted for a package that included a Gold Infinity Dance Floor, LED Love Letters, Lighting, etc. and DJ/MC Services - we added an extra hour at a very reasonable price. We had the BEST night of our lives and a large part of that was due to the dance party/good times that Ricardo and his team provided. We provided some songs for Dinner/Reception and he did a great job of mixing and adding songs based on what the guests were enjoying. They also provided some props that were unexpected (glow sticks, sunglasses, etc.) and everyone had fun with those. The dance floor was a huge hit - guests loved it and it looked amazing in photos. The app to upload our songs/input timing for each event throughout the reception was also super easy to use. Thank you for such an amazing experience!

Wonderful & Accommodating DJ!
We just had our destination wedding at Excellence Playa Mujeres in Cancun. I found Discomovil Cancun on Wedding Wire, then decided to reach out to them after reading reviews elsewhere on the web. They were super communicative from the get-go, and were very clear in their explanations of services, packages, and pricing. We had them DJ/MC both our wedding ceremony and reception, and utilized some of their extra lighting as well as cold fireworks. It was easy to get my music choices to them, and they were super patient and accommodating when I was getting very micro-managing regarding my playlists lol. I had specific times I wanted the cold fireworks to be set off, and they executed it perfectly. Everything went smoothly and our DJ/MC was very friendly and professional. They communicated directly with the resort as well as directly with us, so everyone was on the same page in regards to planning and setup. We couldn’t have been more pleased with Ricardo and his team!!! Booking was so easy and response time was less than a day - something we really appreciated planning a wedding in another country.
Our guests were on the dance floor allllll night! We had a decent age range of guests and the songs flowed so well where everyone was able to enjoy and sing along. They came with some lights and favors that were a lot of fun.
They’ve worked at plenty of the resorts in the area and they helped me decide on my package - my resort would have charged me an extra vendor fee if I used his LOVE light letters and if he didn’t inform me, I’d not have known. Appreciated that input!!
All of our friends and family still say how much fun they have and we’re so grateful for that!

Ricardo/Disco Movil was my most impressive Mexican vendor. Communication was excellent from beginning to end. My photographer told me Ricardo was sooo good and reassured me but I was still so nervous about it. We are Haitian and Indo-Guyanese so this was all music that literally no one else knew. I sent him playlists for the ceremony, dinner and the reception on an excel sheet and Spotify. My brother played the sax during dinner which he accommodated with no issue. I separated reception songs by genre (slow Haitian vs fast Indian vs soca vs hip hop). Ricardo BLEW US AWAY. He complimented the music and said he loved it all. The party was sooooooo good. He alternated songs from each culture and Everyone was sweating and danced the night away. We had a few people request songs and he played them with no problem. Endless thank yous. I’m so happy with my choice. He came with a dance floor that I got a monogram for, LOVE letters, fun lights and fog. We requested an extra hour ($100) at the last minute and he had no problems. Our total was $1600 for all of that plus the vendor fee.

Incredible, do yourself a favor and book!
DJ Discomovil and his team were incredible from start to finish! His communication was always prompt and extremely friendly. I chose him over other DJs due to his warm personality, his upgraded equipment, and his advanced contract system and playlist set up. He offers a contract through Adobe signatures which I use all the time at work, and it is the most quick and efficient way to have a file transferred and saved. More importantly, he uses an incredible app that you can download on your. phone and it organizes literally everything! The app prompts you to fill out basic information and detailed information regarding wedding day. I was able to list each parents name for introductions and their songs, down to the seconds of the song you want played. They ask what you would like for cake cutting, toasts, first dances for your partner, parents, and so on. The app lets you upload and import playlists directly from apple music! This was so ideal as I had been formulating some playlist ideas from my apple music account for awhile. The app also offers suggestions for every part of your wedding you could think of! This was super helpful for me because it was hard to narrow down ideas of certain songs that I would like played. The suggestions definitely made it easier for me to make decisions regarding our entire playlist. My package came with a 12x16 white acrylic dance floor which was perfect for about 30 guests. It was so beautiful. The lighting that they provided was perfect, and they used special effects during certain parts of the reception which was so fun to get the crowd going! Our DJ was incredibly kind. He took requests from guests and totally read the room to play songs that all enjoyed. I highly recommend Discomovil for your destination wedding! You will not regret it! ---Also our resort loves working with him. Thank you again for everything!!!!!

I thought it was very helpful to have the portal to help upload playlists before the big day (although there were some glitches with it) overall I found it to be a great planning tool. It would have probably been a good idea to have a final call to review all the details right before since it was a lot going on during the actual wedding day but otherwise things went great! Ricardo did an amazing job performing at our wedding at Finest Playa Mujeres.
Every aspect from start to finish was perfect.Communication was easy and responses to our questions were always prompt, which is so important when planning a wedding in Mexico all the way from the UK.
We gave Ricardo a sample of the kind of music we liked using Vibo app and he did the rest; the playlist was spot on and had everyone dancing all the way through the night. We also had a saxophonist (completely separate to Discomovil) perform and Ricardo accommodated this seamlessly.
We can't thank Ricardo and his team enough for helping make our night so special; every one of our guests commented on just how good our DJ was, and the cheers of "one more song!" at the end of the night said it all really. Our final conga line to the sounds of The Pretenders will live long in the memory.

Amazing experience!
Discomóvil was amazing from start to finish. Communication prior to the wedding was always prompt and clear. We utilized their DJ service as well as rented a dance floor. Everything was set up beautifully. They listened to the requests we made prior and integrated them perfectly into the dancing. We never stopped dancing all night, every song choice was perfect!

Dancing all night!
Discomovil was AWESOME. He played all the right songs and had everyone dancing all night long. We also rented the LED light floor and it was so much fun!

Was able to deal with our venue changes and additional AV needs on a whim and with such professionalism. We hired a sax to play with our DJ, and the two of them together absolutely crushed it, it was the highlight of our wedding.

Absolutely amazing
Our wedding was absolutely perfect thanks to our wedding planner, Fer Gallegos' referral to Discomovil!! My husband and I are VERY picky about our music and it was one of the most important key components to our wedding that we really put a lot of time and effort into. Discomovil really took our music requests and perfected the music. The beautiful light up dance floor was also SUCH a hit! It made the entire wedding experience so incredible. Thank you so much discomovil!!! I would 100% recommend hiring them!

Awesome party!
We hired them for our 50 person wedding on the beach. Without a ton of guidance they read the room all night and kept the dance floor full. Amazing sound system too! We had a blast and would highly highly recommend for anyone!!

High Recommend Discomovil!
Ricardo was absolutely amazing to work with. I have nothing negative to say! He worked with us every step of the way with quick and easy communication. He was flexible with guest counts and what we needed. He hooked us up with his friend Rodrigo who blew away our guests with his saxophone skills. Ricardo kept our party going the whole night as well his MC skills were fantastic! I high recommend Discomovil to anyone looking for a DJ you will not regret it! :)

We used DiscoMovil for our wedding on 3/4/22. He was FANTASTIC! From the beginning to the end, he kept the crowd going. I had one guest say he’s been to a lot of weddings and he’s never seen everyone stay on the dance floor like he did at ours. If you’re looking for a Dj, I highly recommend DiscoMovil!

We hired DiscoMovil to cover both cocktail hour and reception at Finest in Playa Mujeres. It was 5 hours of service and a 12x16 white wooden dance floor. About 2 weeks in advance we gave a worksheet of key moments, must play songs and don’t play songs. Our must play list was about 10 songs and they did the rest. Dinner songs were slower/older and after dinner the party got wild. The music was amazing, our friends never left the dance floor. Clearly the team read our song list and totally understood the vibe we wanted. They even handed out sunglasses and light sticks, totally unexpected. Highly recommend!

Was beyond happy with Disco Movil! The music was amazing and kept everyone dancing all night long. We had rap, country, classics literally everything and it was all so seemless. Many of our guests complimented the music and how well he did. Would recommend to anyone over and over again!

The best DJ on the planet!
Hire Ricardo and thank me later. We hired him for a group of 20 for a 40th birthday party - every person danced for 3.5 hours straight. He read the crowd, didnt play one bad song, picked up on what we liked and totally made our trip incredible. His staff was amazing, the level if professionalism was amazing and we had a blast. We were all so sore the next day it was comical. The lighting and set up was phenomenal. Let him create the wedding or special occassion of your dreams! Hands down the best DJ I have ever seen in 40 years of weddings, parties and events.

The absolute best DJ in Cancun!!
Ricardo was amazing from start to finish. From our very first emails he was professional, always answered us quickly and was very friendly. If we had any changes to make it was never a problem. We had a 100 person wedding and no one stopped dancing all night!! We even ran in to an issue at our ceremony (nothing to do with DiscoMovil) and without hesitation he said no problem he would help and try to fix it. He is a great guy and great DJ. All of our guests said they had so much fun and couldn’t stop dancing. I 1,000% recommend using him if he is available for your date you will not be disappointed.

Everything was absolutely amazing. They did a great job on everything. The only thing that I wish was done differently was the cold fireworks. The cold firework was supposed to go off during our first dance, however, it went off before, and we were nowhere near prepared.

Amazing DJ in Riviera Maya!
I got married in Riviera Maya Mexico at Generations a month ago. I decided not to use my venues preferred DJ because of the pricing and because I couldn’t find any reviews. I started my search here on wedding wire and took into account price, services provided, as well as number of reviews. I chose Discomovil because they had the best combination between those factors and I’m so glad I did. From the beginning Ricardo was very responsive including driving out two days before my wedding to meet me and my FH in person so I could calm my nerves. I had only provided him with a list of songs for the ceremony and the important milestones dances but otherwise trusted him to do his thing. He had everyone up on the dance floor from the minute dancing started and no one left. My brother in law told me he’s been in 10+ weddings and never saw that percentage of a wedding stay on the dance floor through the entire night. Ricardo even provided some fun light up props that were a hit. It’s been weeks and people are still talking about what a great DJ we had. Also worth noting I used him for the 3-D infinity dance floor, a love sign that lit up, and string lights. Everything worked out great and I highly recommend him. Thank you Ricardo!

Incredible DJ

Ricardo was incredible responsive through out the entire process. Great price for having them for 4 hours. Understood exactly the vibe we were going for and delivered on the wedding day. Best wedding ever!
Ricardo and his team did an amazing job from start to finish. Ricardo was quick to respond to all my emails and booking was easy. We weren't sure which package to select and he allowed us to pick a package and change at a later date when we had more time to look through everything. I was recommended Disco Movil from my travel agent who also used them for her wedding in Cancun. We played mostly house/dance music and I truly have NO complaints. My husband is Polish and his brother requested Polish songs during our reception - Ricardo played all his requests with no problems. Our reception was on the beach and the infinity dance floor was well worth it. Everyone loved it! Our entire wedding was on the dance floor all night. We didn't want to stop the party so we asked Ricardo if we could pay for an extra hour about 10 minutes before he was scheduled to leave - he said yes, no problem and we were so happy he allowed that for us. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Fantastic DJ!!
We contracted with Discomovil for our wedding at The Finest on 3/5/21 and we could not have been more pleased with our decision! Ricardo does a fantastic job of reading the crowd and he kept the dance floor full at all times. He even passed out light up glasses for our guests which were a huge hit. The light up dance floor looked amazing and our guests continued to talk about how great the music was. Great job Ricardo and his team!!
