The best soft glam!
Diem's team did hair and makeup for my wedding and we had a fabulous experience. I was able to do a trial with Patricia and she was so flexible with me as I tried to decide exactly how I wanted my bridal hair. We did a few different styles and it ended up looking amazing.
Diem was also incredibly flexible with us while we ended up adding in more people to the hair and makeup schedule just a week before the wedding. She was so patient and organized, which is a dream for a busy bride.
They specialize in 'soft glam', so our makeup really enhanced our natural features instead of looking cakey. Everyone looked stunning. 10/10 would recommend Diem's team!

Rosie from Diem Angie’s team provided makeup for my wedding. I wanted a more natural glam look, and Rosie specializes in that style. In our trial session, Rosie was fantastic and was highly receptive to my feedback. Diem Angie Beauty has the most amazing group of hair and make up artists. The owner Diem was great. She was so easy to work with, responsive, passionate and went above and beyond for my wedding making sure every detail was perfect so I didn’t have to worry about anything. On the day of, Diem Angie Beauty team were a great group of artists to work with. They arrived on time, started immediately and really made our getting ready experience together special.
I could tell all the artists loved what they did and their passion comes from the heart. Karolina did my make up and I couldn’t be happier with my natural gam look. The best in Chicago
I worked with Diem for my wedding in March of 2022, and she was truly such a gem and a pleasure to work with. I was concerned mainly with finding a hair and makeup artist who know how to style and do east-asian hair and makeup, and Diem absolutely hit it out of the park. Working with her was like chatting with a friend, and I trusted her completely with my look. After my trial, we talked about changing a few things here and there, and she executed it flawlessly for the wedding day. She did most of my bridesmaids' hair and even though they all had different looks, they all turned out gorgeous. You can't go wrong hiring her and her team for your wedding!!

Amazing make up and hair artists!
Diem was very easy to work with, from booking to scheduling the trial to the wedding day, she was very detailed and communicative. Kim was my make up and hair artist, and SHE WAS AMAZING!! She was so patient with me when we tried a few different looks during the trial. The day of, Kim and her team arrived on time and was able to get everyone (7 bridesmaids, 2 mothers and 1 bride) finished on a tight timeline! I can’t thank them enough for making everyone feel so beautiful on my special day!

I highly recommend Diem and her team! Diem is VERY responsive whether via text or email. Michelle did my makeup, Elisabeth did my hair, and Pati did both for many of my bridesmaids--and I am SO happy with how BEAUTIFUL we all looked for my big day! Since I also did my trials with Michelle and Elisabeth, I spent more time with them and enjoyed getting to know them--they are so personable and easy to talk to. Diem's services are also the most reasonably priced I found for my downtown Chicago wedding--and her team did as beautiful a job as other companies who were quoting me 2-3x more could have done.

Perfect wedding hair and makeup!
Diem Angie was amazing to work with for my wedding hair and makeup! Diem was super responsive and flexible from the beginning. When I did my trial with Diem, she made it super easy for me and came to my apartment. We talked through my style and the look I was going for and she was so knowledgable and explained each step before starting. I normally do not wear a lot of makeup so before booking with Diem, I was nervous about looking too made up and not like myself on my wedding day. I was so pleasantly surprised when Diem suggested starting out with less and adding more if I wanted so that I would still have a natural look. At my trial, she did my hair and makeup better than I could have ever pictured or imagined so I was completely at ease about how I would look on my wedding day. On my wedding day, my hair and makeup were PERFECT! I got so many compliments about how great I looked and how long it held up, even with removing my veil and two outfit changes (I started hair/makeup at 10am and the reception went until midnight). I cannot say enough great things about Diem and I would definitely recommend Diem Angie for any of your hair and makeup needs!

Pati was my main HMUA who did both my hair & makeup on my wedding day. I first met Pati when she did a makeup trial at my home for my engagement shoot. She was so accommodating in a last minute date change to avoid the rain and was so sweet. She is so patient and made great recommendations about what would look nice for photos vs in-person.
I ended up having a 2nd makeup artist - Heather - on the wedding day to do my bridesmaids' makeup while Pati did everyone's hair. All of my girls were happy with how their updos and hair turned out! The looks were very natural and not at all heavy. One of the reasons I went with Diem's company is because they have extensive experience with East Asian makeup. I'm happy I did because it turned out great! Thank you Pati and Heather for helping my girls and I look so glam!

Picture perfect!
I had the pleasure to work with Diem on my wedding day. I was ecstatic about how my hair and makeup turned out on the big day. During the planning process, I was nervous about selecting a makeup artist since not many artists know how to work with Chinese features. I did a trial with Diem before the big day and was blown away by the result. I wanted a natural/soft glam makeup with a retro up-do which Diem delivered flawlessly. My hair and makeup stayed intact all night, even after 3 wardrobe changes, two veil/headpiece changes, and 4 hours of dancing. The first thing my now husband said to me during our first look is: "Wow, you look so beautiful! Diem did a great job!" I would recommend Diem to anyone that wants to look and feel their best for any special occasion!

Picture perfect faces!
I could not be more thrilled with how Alex did my hair and makeup on my wedding day. I wasn’t 100% happy with my trial (which is not Alex’s fault, I just really didn’t know what I wanted until I saw what I didn’t want!) After my trial, Diem and Alex both followed up with me regarding what I liked and if there was anything I wanted to do differently. I had a list of things I decided I wanted to do differently from my trial, from the eyeshadow, eyebrows, and type of fake eyelashes that I wanted, to the hairstyle and hairpiece I wanted to use. When I saw the final look on my wedding day, I was in LOVE. Alex incorporated my hairpiece beautifully even though I didn’t have it for her during my trial, and everything honestly was perfection. Even though it was June and I didn’t think it was going to rain, we ended up getting married in a downpour. My hair and makeup stayed absolutely perfect, and my eyeliner didn’t smudge or drip. I was so impressed! I even had guests tell me they didn’t know how my hair still was so perfect during the reception even though I got completely drenched during the ceremony. My bridesmaids also all had only good things to say about how their hair and makeup held up in the rain and throughout the course of the evening. I had six girls needing to get hair AND makeup done, and between Alex, Patricia, and Lesley, they were able to get the entire wedding party ready in 4.5 hours (my first bridesmaid started at 11am, the last one finished at 3:30pm, which is incredible! It was so nice to not have a 7am start time for hair and makeup, and everyone was able to sleep in and wake up well-rested, but also not have their hair and makeup feel rushed) Thank you so much Diem Angie’s team!!!

I hired Diem Angie's team for bridal makeup and then hair + makeup for my bridesmaids and WOW. They had been recommended to me by two of my friends, which was good enough to go off of but boy were we all blown away on the day-of. All four of my bridesmaids were so happy with their up-dos and then BEYOND happy with their makeup. Both artists that Diem Angie sent were efficient and thoughtful - checking in with everyone to make sure they were happy with their look (which we all were!!). And honestly, I had a great trial a couple of weeks before with Pati and then on the day-of, Pati hit a home run - my look was even better than the trial and I couldn't have been happier. I slept in my lashes and rocked them all day Sunday because I couldn't bear to take them off. I couldn't be happier with the choice to go with Diem Angie for hair & makeup!

Will not hire anyone else but Diem!
Diem Angie and her team are the only people I would hire for any event or photo shoot! I have hired her for a photo shoot, my engagement shoot, and my wedding day and have absolutely LOVED my hair and makeup every time. Whether it is Diem herself, or one of her girls, the quality and artistry of both the hair and makeup are impeccable! For each event, my makeup was perfectly blended, not overly heavy and showed up beautifully on camera. My hair stayed curled and place during my entire wedding ceremony and reception. It looked the same as when it was done during the day when I took it down to go to bed, as was the makeup! For my wedding day, we had five bridesmaids and two moms get hair and makeup done. Many of the girls added services like false lashes last minute and Diem and her girls were prepared. We did not go over on time despite the last minute changes. All of the girls are professional, on time, and extremely skilled artists. You will not regret hiring Diem and her team!

Made me look beautiful but like myself
My friend used Diem Angie for her wedding where I was a bridesmaid two years ago and I knew I needed Michelle to do my makeup as well. The way she did my makeup was exactly what I liked. So I contacted Diem and she set me up with Michelle and Elisabeth. I ended up having a trial for both myself and my mom which went great. Michelle and Elisabeth were great to have around day of and kept us on or ahead of schedule. They had their work cut out for them with myself, 6 bridesmaids, two moms and a junior bridesmaid but they weren't phased by all the action or the pouring rain they arrived in. Everyone looked beautiful. So far, I only have a couple sneak peek photos but each time I look I think about how my hair was exactly what I wanted (and we made some on the spot tweaks from the trial) and my makeup made me look beautiful but still recognizable as myself. It was perfect. Highly recommend!

I love love loved my makeup for my wedding day. I was worried because I've heard so many stories of brides who ended up hating their hair and makeup. I also am Asian, so I was afraid that I would end up with too much or unflattering makeup. Well, Jean Ramos made me look like myself...but upgraded! I was terrible at conveying what I actually wanted, but she somehow took all of my thoughts and made me look and feel beautiful. I highly recommend her services! I was referred to Diem Angie by one of my friends who got married last year. I'm so glad I reached out to Diem! Jean Ramos did my hair and makeup, and she was amazing! I did two makeup trials to perfect the look, and Jean was so patient through both. When I couldn't really articulate what I wanted for my hair, she created a look for me from my varying pinterest photos, and it was perfect. On the big day, it was close to 90 degrees (when it should have been in the 70s), and my makeup literally didn't move. My makeup was seriously flawless the entire day, and stayed put through all of my crying and sweating!
Abby was also the hair stylist on my wedding, and everyone loved her and their hair. Both Jean and Abby are super efficient and did an amazing job. I highly recommend Diem Angie!!

I had initially tried to book a hair and makeup stylist that was recommended to me. She was booked on the day of my wedding and recommended Diem Angie. I am so glad she did! I felt at ease with the hair stylist, Abby, and makeup artist, Patricia. Both were prompt and professional at my trial at my home and then on my wedding day at the hotel. Before contacting Diem, I actually had a makeup trial with another vendor and it was beyond horrible! Based on my previous experience, I was pretty skeptical about my makeup for my wedding to the point of considering just doing my makeup myself!
Diem was excellent with communication right from the gecko! As soon I placed an inquiry about their services, i received a phone call that same day from Diem herself for follow up. After hearing my story, she reassured me that they are expects at doing Asian makeup and that she would assign me her team of professionals that KNOW Asian makeup well. I did my makeup trial with Jean Ramos and to say she's an expert at Asian makeup application is an understatement...she's the queen of Asian makeup!
She patiently worked with me and my inspiration photos even when I couldn't articulate well what i wanted or didn't want. I was so incredibly happy with my makeup and hair Trial that on the day of my wedding I didn't even refer to my trial pictures as I was confident Jean would deliver. And she definitely did! My bridal party and I were all so happy with how our makeup and hair looked AND we had fun even at 7 in the morning! Our beautiful Bridal party would not have been possible without Jean and her team of professionals!
Jean diligently worked with our wedding planner to create a specific timeline for each girl's hair and makeup to ensure we started and ended on time. My hair didn't hold up the same by reception time but that was mainly due Chicago's crazy wind. My makeup on the other hand defeated tears, wind, and sweat all day and night! Jean was especially helpful in contacting me months before the wedding to let me know the products I should buy on my own such as lipstick so I am able to reapply on my own throughout the day. Overall I highly recommend this team of professionals for not only Asian makeup as I did have some Caucasian wedding party members but for all wedding hair and make up services!

We initially found Diem Angie through Yelp, and from our first interaction I could tell that we'd be booking with her for our May wedding in Chicago. Not only did she completely understand what I wanted, she helped connect me with a make-up artist, Jean, who absolutely nailed it. I also had my hair styled by her as well, and again, I am not great at describing hair styles. However, after showing her a few pics of the styles I liked, she was able to synthesize them and come up with one that fit perfectly for me and for our wedding. What's more, all of the members of my bridal party had great experiences as well! I could not have been happier with Diem Angie's services, and highly recommend them!

Pati did my hair and make up for 3 of my brothers wedding events. She was so incredible! Very patient, always on-time and very easy to talk to. She made the wedding weekend much less stressful. My hair and make up turned out exactly how I wanted it and I received many compliments. She was able to replicate all the photos I showed her and is relatively fast at what she does. I would recommend her to any bride or bridal party!

One of my friends who got married last year had her hair done by Diem Angie and loved her. After reading her Yelp reviews, I decided to book her as well. Kim and Diem were both there the day of my wedding to do my hair as well as my 10 bridesmaids. They were both AMAZING! All the girls requested different looks and each one was so beautiful. They were also able to incorporate florals into everyone's hair! Everybody loved their hair, and that is no easy feat to please 11 girls!! Diem was always professional and responded quickly to all emails. Her prices are also very reasonable. Would highly recommend her!

A good friend of mine referred me to Diem Angie Co. Her best friend had recently gotten married and they had used Diem Angie Co. for their hair and makeup services and absolutely loved the team and their work. I reached out to Diem to inquire about her team, their services and to check their availability. Diem was very quick to respond and was even willing to speak with me over the phone and answer any concerns or questions I had. I felt very positive about her team and their services after our conversation and proceeded with setting up a trial.
Diem recommended Abbey for my hair and Patricia for my makeup as she felt they would both achieve the boho/whimsical bridal look I was going for. She was completely right - Both Abbey and Patricia were AMAZING! They were both so friendly and easy to talk to. Throughout my trial, they went step-by-step with my hair and makeup to make sure it was exactly as I envisioned it.
The day of my wedding, Diem sent two additional team members (Bethany and Elisabeth) to ensure all 13 girls would have their hair and makeup done on-time. The team was prompt, professional and extremely friendly/helpful to everyone. They paid close attention to each girl’s hair and makeup “inspiration” photos and made every effort to ensure they were happy with their look step-by-step. Abbey even stayed behind to help each girl put on their flower crown to make sure everything was secure and looked perfect – I really appreciated that! I was so pleased with how everyone’s hair and makeup (including my own) turned out as it was exactly the wedding look I was going for!
I highly recommend Diem Angie Co. for Weddings and/or special occasions. It was truly a great experience working with them!

I am SO happy we booked Diem Angie's team! Pati was my hair/makeup artist, and she completely nailed it! I had a trial with another company, that unfortunately left me a bit nervous, but Pati came in and saved the day. I explained what I was looking for, and got it exactly right. I had a trial done for hair and makeup and was worried that my hair would fall out of its curls by the end of the night so Diem had Sarah email me to discuss what we could do about this. I also felt that my makeup was too much during the trial and Patricia offered to come back to try to lighten it. Both ladies made me feel 100% prepared for my special day.
On my wedding day, 4 ladies came so that we could all start at a later time. They were all early and ready to go right away! I was blown away by how I looked after Sarah and Patricia finished. My hair held its curls the entire night and my makeup was absolutely perfect!! It was understated exactly like I had envisioned for myself. I had so many people tell me that I looked like a movie star at the Oscars. Not a bad way to feel on your wedding day!!!

Diem did my hair and make up for myself and my bridal party. Diem was sweet and professional and always asked if everything was ok before proceeding to the next phase of make-up. Diem also offered expert advise on my dry area underneath my eyes - vitimin e tablets, break them up and smear gel under your eyes worked like a charm and on my wedding day my eyes were not so dry and looked rested. Diem didn't try to sell items I didn't need either, I was debating on false eyelashes and she said if it was not something I was going to keep up it did not make sense to purchase them because they were expensive, how refreshing to deal with someone that is looking out for your best interest. Diem was on-time and worked her magic for myself, my bridesmaids and two other individuals I threw in the mix a few days before. Diem handled everything with grace and a smile, she was a pleasure to work with and I would not hesitate to use her again.

After reading the wonderful reviews I booked Diem and her team for my wedding on 10/10/15. I had my trial in August and loved how Diem made my vision a reality. On my wedding day Diem and her team arrived at our hotel bright and early and stuck to our preplanned timeline. Diem and her team did a wonderful job on everyone, especially my 85 year old grandmother who looked absolutely fabulous! If you are looking for onsite hair and makeup don't hesitate and book Diem and her team! I felt like the most beautiful bride thanks to Diem Angie's team!! Pati did my bridal hair and make up and the hair for the bridal party. Each of my bridesmaids LOVED their hair and they looked beautiful! Tiffany did the make up for the moms and they received so many compliments!
Diem was very attentive and always responded to all of my emails and made sure everything was perfectly coordinated! Pati listened to me and incorporated all the ideas from various pictures to make sure my trial went perfectly.
My Grandmother died unexpectedly the day before the wedding and I was very upset and overwhelmed and Pati was so calming and made sure that I was ok. I can honestly say that Pati got me through that morning and I am so thankful she was there.

Diem was completely calming the day of, and I was so happy with her beautiful work. My hair and makeup were flawless for the entire day, which is saying something considering all of the hugs and moving around you do throughout the wedding day.
She and her team were available to do hair and makeup for myself, my four bridesmaids and my mother, and didn't grumble a bit when we had to start at 5am thanks to our 10am start for the wedding with pictures ahead of time. Diem is reliable and communicative, and I would recommend her and her amazing to anyone!

I got married two weeks ago and could not wait to write a review about my wonderful experience with Diem's team. I had the pleasure to work with Beth and Nikki, as hair and makeup artists. They were very professional, friendly and enjoyable. Nikki was able to capture the idea I had for my wedding makeup without any problem. I wanted to look like myself, yet still looked like the bride and she made this happen. Beth, did some old Hollywood waves for me as I wanted to wear my hair down. I also had an Idea that she was able to create and she incorporated my head piece on the side perfectly. My overall look was jut what I had envisioned, natural yet classy. I found Diem Angie on Yelp and, after reading the reviews, I decided to reach out and I am SO glad I did! She was very responsive and flexible with me as my schedule changed a bit in the days leading up to the appointment. Angie is amazing. Even though we were many states apart (I was in San Diego at the time) she managed to work things out with me. I trusted her fully to make me look glowing on my day. I received many compliments on my make up that day. She helped make sure I was on top of my make up and did touch up for me very quick. I loved my hair! A low messy bun. Diem and her team of artists are definitely a pleasure to work with. Diem was prompt to respond and flexible in accomodating my dates. She and her team (Alexandra for my make-up & Pati for my hair) really went the extra mile to ensure that I was comfortable with the way I look and that it was exactly what I had envisioned it to be.
It started with the trial. As I wanted to have the trial exactly on the same day as my pre-wedding photoshoot, I had to keep changing my trial dates due to the bad weather. Diem, Alex & Pati were flexible to accomodate my requests. They also proactively asked for my feedback as to whether I was comfortable with the colours used, the way my eyebrows were drawn etc. and gave me suggestions on how they can tweak the look until I was satisfied with it. I definitely felt I was in good hands!
On the day of the wedding, Pati & Alex arrived punctually and worked their magic on my 5 bridesmaids, mother, MIL & me. Everyone looked gorgeous! They were even sweet enough to accomodate our last minute requests for my mother and MIL to have their hair styled even though this had not been scheduled as per our initial arrangement. Our day would not have been as perfect without them.
I would highly recommend Diem & her team of artists for your wedding or special occasion. You will not regret it!

First, Diem did my hair and makeup for a friend's wedding, and I looked SO GOOD! So, when it was my turn to get married, I knew exactly who to go to. We we went to Mexico for the wedding and I was worried about my hair and makeup staying put in the humid climates, so I was really happy to find out that Diem travels for destination weddings.
We did a trial ahead of time (which I highly recommend, because I was totally convinced I needed a smoky eye for my wedding day until Diem showed me the light) and on the day of, damn I looked amazing. And I'm not even bragging... I give full credit to Diem! Since it was a destination, she didn't have her full team with her.. and she was like a ninja the day of, whipping out the perfect, romantic, beachy updos for my girls, and then she worked her magic on me.
My hair was poufed and curled more perfectly than it ever has been, my eye makeup was somehow totally glam but still natural, and my skin looked just as flawless in person as it did in all of the pictures. And despite some serious heat, intense wind, and 4+ hours of dance moves... I looked pretty much the exact same at midnight as I did when she spun me around to check myself out in her makeup chair.
I can't recommend her enough - she's funny, sweet, makes everyone feel comfortable, and is ultimately a total pro.

I had never had my makeup done before and I had a wedding to attend on August 23, 2014. I knew I wanted to have my hair and makeup done by a good friend from college. I contacted Diem as soon as I could to book an appointment for hair and makeup. A few days before the appointment, my mom asked if it was possible to have her hair done as well. After a quick email back and forth with Diem, my mother and I were on our way to her salon in the Bucktown area. Diem was ready and waiting for us when we arrived. We quickly went over what I wanted for my hair to look like as well as what my makeup would look like and she got started. My mother watched as Diem worked on my makeup and once she finished, we were in awe as to how amazing and flawless it looked. Diem started working on my hair and once she finished, the look was so much better than the inspiration photos I sent earlier in the week. I felt amazing the entire night.
My mom was up next, and my mom has short hair but Diem worked her magic and the volume that was added held up all night. We received so many compliments from the other guests of the wedding reception. My mom kept commenting on how quickly Diem works and that the results really show her passion for her work-- which is key for any hair and makeup artist.
I would easily and without hesitation recommend Diem to anyone and everyone. She keeps everything professional and she does not waste any time. Diem explains things as she goes along and asks questions whenever needed to make sure that you as the client are satisfied with the result. I loved my hairstyle and my makeup. I even had the bride herself asking me who did my look (and she herself looked beyond stunning!!)
I know that when my special day comes, it is without a doubt who I will trust to do my hair and my makeup. The only touch up I did was lip gloss, from the Diem Angie collection of course.

I had a wonderful experience with Diem recently. She was very professional and efficient throughout the whole process but at the same time, very personable and interactive. She did my hair and makeup for headshots and her work is extremely amazing. I've never felt so flawless and glamorous before, and honestly, I've never thought I could look that way. Diem knew the perfect makeup application to make my prominent features stand out in photographs while bringing out subtle features that I never knew I had (if I may say so myself). Diem did an AMAZING job with my hair!! She did my hair, along with 3 other girls, for my wedding. She was able to create an up-do that was exactly what I wanted and it looked flawless. My hair lasted all day and all night. I didn't have to do any touch ups on my own or add any extra bobby pins to keep things in place. Everything stayed put.
She was extremely easy to work with. Diem always replied to my emails quickly and answered each of my questions. She was very efficient and finished each girls hair earlier than expected.
Diem also had a very positive and upbeat attitude. :) She was genuinely interested in my wedding day and kept asking me questions about my wedding. She made each girl feel comfortable about their hair and was able and willing to do whatever they requested.
About a month after the wedding, she sent a follow-up email asking how everything went and requested to see the wedding photos. I felt that that was very thoughtful and professional of her. To me, this shows that even after the wedding day has passed, she still cares about her clients and their satisfaction with her service.

Diem is a talented enterprising young lady with a lot of spunk! I engaged her to do my hair and make up for our ceremony at the cultural center. After my email enquiries, she was very enthusiastic in her follow-up, managed to fit me in for a trial at a very short notice, and was so accomodating for the timings (She waited in her studio until I got off work!). Her work ethic is superb. The day of the ceremony, she showed up early and was all ready to go. I was so happy with her hair and make-up, I was reluctant to take it off at the end of the night! Just let her know your preferences, and she works very hard to give you what you want.

a black tie event. I booked her based off reviews I read and I'm happy to say they were all right! Diem is truly an artist! She has a great eye for detail and great hands...a feather light touch! She made me look like a princess on my wedding day and I have never looked better! I hate taking pictures but after I saw my reflection I had no worries!
My 3 sister-in-laws were my bridesmaids and they have their own person for hair and makeup that they regularly go to. I decided to do a trial at their house a month before the wedding with Diem. She was so patient and wonderful! She answered every question they had. After they saw my trial the group was super confident in my choice of beauty artist. BTW do the trial! I went really dramatic for it and when my wedding did come around I decided to go lighter which was even better than the trial. I was worried I wouldn’t look like “me” in my wedding pics but Diem worked magic and I looked like me but flawless. Go for the airbrush foundation, so light you can’t tell it’s there but looks so good in pictures.0
Diem and her team got started on 3 bridesmaids, 2 moms, and myself at 9:30 and we were done by 1:30. My girls looked fabulous!!! My hair and makeup lasted all night. Her prices are very competitive and SO worth it. Thank You so much Diem for making my husbands eyes pop out lol! See yelp for pics

I absolutely adore Diem! I hired her for my wedding day to do my hair and she 110% created the style i was looking for. My hair was done by 8am and literally looked perfect till 2am when our reception was over. Not only did she make me look perfect, but when my mom(who can beat Simon Cowell in the art of critiquing) saw my hair after our trail she immediately made me cancel her appointment with another stylist and had me call Diem 2 days before the wedding to see if she can also squeeze her in, and of course, she did. Diem was timely, professional, and very sweet. I would highly recommend her, and that says a lot coming from someone who has been in the modeling industry for over 11 years and have worked with TONS of hair stylists.

Living out of state I had a hard time making a decision on choosing someone I did not know to style my hair and makeup. The thought of not being able to trouble to have a consultation made me nervous. However, I was happy with the service I was given from my initial contact with Diem. The day of the wedding she arrived with her team on time and ready to go. After having my hair and makeup done I wasn't loving the up-do I had chosen and became emotional. They quickly calmed me down and began taking my hair down and curling it. I was so happy that no one was mad or offended and I was able to have it redone. I am so thankful I chose Diem and her team to do mine and my wedding party's hair and makeup. I love they way everything looks in the pictures. I couldn't be happier!

I was a last-minute add-on, as I had been looking unsuccessfully online for hair/makeup artists who were familiar with Asian clientel, and I only found her 2 wks before the wedding. Luckily, Diem had enough availability and could add me in. We scheduled a hair consultation, which got rescheduled several times due to last-minute changes in my schedule, but Diem didn't even blink an eye. She was calm, courteous, and flexible, and we eventually found a time that worked for us both. I was very impressed by her work. I'm one of those people that beauticians probably dread, because I never know what I want, and I can't articulate my likes/dislikes. We started out by perusing a number of photos, and she expertly picked out common features of images that appealed to me and those that didn't. The style that she provided was beautiful, durable, and exactly what I wanted. We did something similar with the makeup for the wedding day. The final product was gorgeous and received many compliments, and, best of all, I felt that she managed to create something that was reflective of my own personality and sense of style (only much much nicer!) rather than something that was totally not me. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a professional, responsive, talented, friendly stylist/makeup artist (and she does photography, too!)

It’s a little awkward for oneself to brag about how great they look – at least for me- but I think every girl should get a pass when it comes to her wedding day! Diem and her team did such an amazing job on my hair and makeup. I swear I’m normally pretty modest, but she made me look and feel like a princess on my wedding day! Diem also brought along two girls who did my maid of honor’s, mother’s, and mother-in-law’s makeup and hair. Her team made all the ladies look gorgeous.
From the initial contact to the wedding day, Diem was always professional, courteous, and just sweet as pie. She was always prompt in responding to emails, and made the whole process so easy - something any bride-to-be would appreciate! The trial went so smoothly, and her suggestions made me look even better than what I had envisioned on the day of the wedding. On the day of the wedding, she even took into consideration the busy travel weekend, and arrived 30 minutes early. She definitely made me feel calm and confident that morning! I also scoured the internet comparing prices before I contacted Diem, and her prices are extremely reasonable, especially in a big city.

Just wanted to give a shout out to Diem Angie Nguyen and her amazing team of girls for making me, my bridesmaids, and my moms look fabulous on my wedding day! They went above and beyond all my expectations. With only 6 months to plan a wedding, I was frantically searching for a good makeup and hair artist. I had some bad luck in the past with makeup and hair applications.. I've had makeup applied on my face that were 3 shades too light for my skin where I looked like a geisha girl, and hair do's with huge beehive bumps I was called Peggy Sue all night by friends. Needless to say with these bad experiences, finding a good makeup artist was my top priority. I actually contacted Diem after reading great reviews of her work on the Internet and I am so glad I did! If any bride out there is looking for a great hair/makeup artist in the Chicago land area, Diem is your girl (especially if your Asian)! Although my wedding party consisted a mix of 5 Caucasian and 4 asian girls, her team did a fantastic job on everyone. Didn't matter what skin tone, color or length of hair they had, they were so skilled with designing the hair and making their makeup look natural, beautiful, and sultry at the same time.
From the moment I first contacted Diem, she was been nothing but prompt with email exchanges. My schedule leading up to the wedding was so chaotic and busy I didn't have time to fit a trial run in. However, I exchanged photos with Diem, we talked about the hairstyle and look I wanted for the big day, and she gave me her recommendations. I had complete confidence and trust after talking to her that I didn't need a trial run and that things would turn out perfect and they did!
One of biggest pet peeves is being late. Diem and her girls get brownie points for being so prompt and professional. They drove an hour to get to my house and arrived 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time to setup so that we could finish on time.. How awesome is that! They were actually waiting for us and not the other way around which is usually the norm. Diem and I had decided on adding hair extensions at the last minute, but due to a storm they didn't arrive in time for the wedding. Diem was so wonderful she went out her way to make sure I had some so that I would have the look I wanted. I am still amazed that the color and length matched perfectly without us ever meeting in person.
Diem's team was professional, fast, talented,and utterly amazing. My bridesmaids and I took photos outdoors prior to the ceremony on a hot, humid, 95 degree day in Chicago! Even at midnight when the reception ended, my hair and airbrush makeup still looked natural and beautiful. Despite the heat, i never retouched the makeup because it stayed on all day! Our wedding party received so many compliments. Kudos to Diem Angie Nguyen and her amazing team of girls! Thank you!

We hired Diem for my wedding and she and her team Melissa did a wonderful job on our hair. I am the pickiest person in the world so I deffered the make up to myself but in restrospect wish I had hired her instead on my big day to save the stress and worries (and make a good wedding trailer peice). They are very professional, communicative and flexible. Also reasonable priced. If you need to book -- book fast as they get so many referrals and slots get booked up fast. Ladies and gent... don't waste hours and hours searching and paying for trials. She is a good find and you won't be disappointed. Remember that on your big day you not only want someone who knows how to exceed your expectations but you want someone sweet and nurturing to be there with you as well to lighten up the mood and make it overall a wonderful experience. Also wanted to note that they also were really quick (20-40 minutes) turnaorun for hair which helped with our crazy schedule. We were happy to have had our beauty sleep prior to the big day and get up at a reasonable time!

Diem and her asisstant did hair & makeup for myself and my family on my wedding day. Wow, I can't believe their work!!!! I almost cried when I looked in the mirror at myself when she finished. I got so many compliments ! Just about every single person at my wedding told me how great my hair and makeup looked! Diem and her asisstant were so professional and patient. And Diem was so quick and perfect! You cannot go wrong with Diem. She knew EXACTLY what we all wanted even though none of us were even sure of what we wanted!
My hair and makeup looked absolutely perfect. Flawless! I cried my eyes out at my reception during my first dance and not one smudge! She really knew what she was doing and had my makeup and hair done in what seemed like just a few minutes.
Diem helped calm me down on such a hectic day and she also kept me on track and on time for my party! She also helped with my dress when no one knew how to tie the corset! And she found the perfect head piece to match my dress and the look that I was going for. I can not say enough good things about Diem's work. I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!! She is SUPER professional, fun and very talented. She does a beautiful job on hair and make-up and is very honest about what does and doesn't look good (which I appreciate).
She was and is in constant contact with me and ALWAYS calls and shows up as promised. She is very competitive with pricing and provides fantastic packages for a variety of budgets. You can really tell that she is passionate about what she does and cares about her clients and their satisfaction.

I feel more comfortable wearing minimal make up on a day-to-day basis and will admit that one of my fears leading up to the wedding was that I would look overly made up/aged or not myself. The first question I get from Angie was how I would describe my make-up style and to send over a photo of myself, she made sure to pair me up with an artist that suited my style and could work with my complexion/features. I'm Asian and often times feel that make-up can make me look like a doll so I wanted to be sure that the team I hired would have experience in Asian make up. I want to thank Diem Angie for all her hard work and attention to detail in stgyling the hair of my bridal party and me on my Big Day! She was kind, sweet, positive, encouraging, understanding.. she asked us questions about what we wanted, looked carefully at the pictures we brought, and just overall LISTENED to us and our likes/dislikes. She never seemed irritated if we asked her to do things again to get it to our satisfaction, because her goal was to make us happy and she wasn't happy until this was accomplished. :)
My hair was gorgeous and stayed up all night, and even with the amount of hair spray in it- haha, it still looked totally natural and effortlessly done. If I do say so myself, I looked pretty fab at my wedding. And not because I rolled out of bed like a Disney princess, fresh-faced and glowing. Birds and cute little mice do not flock to me due to my sweet disposition and natural beauty. Despite that, I DID have a wedding day glow, but I owe that to the expertise of Diem. Even my mom, who is notoriously picky about such things, loved my hair and makeup. So with her final approval, I have to give Diem 5 stars.
The trial went great, Diem really tried to get what I wanted. And even the times when what I wanted went against what she knew was best, she explained those things to me. For instance, I am not used to wearing much makeup, so when I first saw my eyes I was a little hesitant. Diem explained that while it looks heavy right now, the makeup fades slightly by the time we get to the reception. Also, it doesn't show up as heavy on the photos. So since she's the expert (and it was a trial after all), I took her word on it. Later that day, we got our engagement photos taken. I scheduled this so I could see how my hair and makeup photographed. Well Diem was exactly right-- what looked a little intense at first glance (and I got used to it after a little while)-- looked beautiful in the photos. Natural, not heavy at all.
I took note of some things that I wanted different for my actual wedding, such as more hairspray, and let Diem know. For the actual hair and makeup, everything went perfectly. My hair and makeup lasted all day, even though it was super hot and humid (high 97 degrees).
As for price point, she is very reasonable. I think I got a pretty good deal. With my bridesmaids and family members, we had 7 total. She gave us a discount.

I found Diem Angie after searching for a stylist who had experience with east Asian hair and makeup, was willing to just service me (most others had a minimum of three people to even work with them, which was not in my budget), did both hair and makeup, and was within my budget. I worked with Pati and had a great experience with both the trial and the day of. I wanted a natural, dewy look with a gentle half-up half-down look and she delivered. The trial was very helpful to see what worked (and what didn’t), and Pati was great with remembering all the changes we made and made me feel comfortable and absolutely beautiful the day of.

Chicago in August was, as always, hot & humid. And yet, my hair and makeup was stunning. Pati was very sweet and helpful. She had a lot of good recommendations for me, who didn’t really know what I wanted. My hair and makeup lasted all day, even with all the dancing in the evening.
Diem Angie was incredibly easy to work with. They were flexible with the initial changes due to the pandemic and they were very professional throughout the stressful times. I will be forever grateful to them.

I got married two months ago and we worked with Diem Angie Co for all the ladies hair and make up. They were so great to work with starting from the initial conversations, to the bride hair and make up trial, and to the actual wedding day! I researched online and on Wedding Wire and they showed up for me. We had the bride plus 5 hair and 6 make up ladies for the morning of the wedding day. Jean and Kim did an amazing job for all the ladies. Jean did my bridal hair and make up, plus all the other ladies hair. Kim did all the make up for the ladies. The ladies all had different looks and they all turned out great! They showed up early, set up, and were really easy going, accommodating, and really helped us to make it a fun and relaxing morning. And everyone turned out beautiful! They were always responsive to all the questions I had for them, was very reasonably priced, and will make sure you like what service you receive. I definitely recommend working with them for any of your hair and make up needs. I felt so beautiful that day!

Diem was great! I was attending a wedding and wanted my makeup done but didn't think of it until last minute. Diem was able to squeeze me in after she spent all morning doing a wedding and my makeup turned out great!

Diem did the hair and makeup for me and three of my bridesmaids for my wedding. I was very happy with her services. I will say that my trial did not go very well- the makeup was much heavier than I liked and my hair was more elaborate than I wanted. I was definitely worried leading up to my wedding day. I didn't need to worry though, on the day of, when it mattered, Diem really listened to what I want and she delivered. She and her team arrived early and had all of us ready ahead of schedule. I absolutely loved how my hair and makeup turned out! My hair was so pretty and even more beautiful than I imagined, and the makeup was pretty and much more natural. My bridesmaids looked beautiful as well. I felt like I got a good value and I also liked that she doesn't have any minimums so I didn't feel like I had to pressure my bridesmaids to get services done. Her hair and makeup rate is also not much more than hair alone so my bridesmaids who did get services were able to get both hair and makeup which was fun. I would highly recommend Diem and her team- no matter what kind of look you want they will be able to do it as long as you're clear about what you want. Thanks again Diem, I could not have been happier with my hair and makeup!

For my wedding, I did a few trials for hair and makeup, and at the end I chose Diem. She was very professional during the process. For my trial, she suggested that I use it for engagement photos or another special occasion, which was very thoughtful.
For the trial, she asked for looks that I would like and a picture of myself so should could create look unique to me!
She was flexible with my schedule and easy to get in touch with. During the trial our personalities meshed well and she was open to changes for my look and willing to try different colors to make sure I loved my look.
She made suggestions to optimize my look. I think it's important to consider Diem's ideas and important to know what look you're going for.
On the day of, Diem and her team came to style me and my bridal party of 3, she was on time and everyone in my bridal party got along with Diem and her team. I would suggest Diem to my friends!!!

Being an Indian bride, I was very particular about who did makeup. The weddings in my culture are very colorful and the day calls for a more dramatic yet polished look. Multiple people recommended I work with Diem and when I looked into her work I was very pleased with what I saw. I'm so glad I went through with it because Diem was a pleasure to work with. She's professional, easy to work with, and above all very talented! She uses the best products and has nothing but the best techniques in applying makeup. I got tons of compliments throughout the day and the best part is that my makeup stayed put all day! The sweltering July heat had nothing on me!
Brides, if you want to feel confident and feel really beautiful, Diem can definitely help you achieve that look.

I contacted Diem Angie on rather short notice (about 3 months) to do hair & makeup for my wedding day. I am Chinese, and I found Diem highly recommended for Asian makeup. While Diem wasn't available, Jean did hair & makeup for both myself and my mother, and she did a phenomenal job. I was actually her second job that day -- she had completed a full bridal party in the morning -- but she was entirely patient and focused. I did not do a pre-wedding consultation, instead sending a few makeup and hair photos for reference, but on the day-of, Jean easily and expertly turned these photos into a cohesive look. I especially loved my hair -- a very intricate low side bun that complemented my face shape and stayed in place all night. I was very satisfied with my wedding look and the whole process. Thanks Diem and Jean!

Typically not a last minute person but here I was few weeks from the wedding. I was travelling overseas but Diem worked with me to get the trial scheduled literally a week before the wedding. Hence, I was quite hesitant but she and her team are fantastic! Professional from beginning to end. My bridal party looked amazing. The pictures looked brilliant. I would highly recommend Diem for any occasion.

Diem Angie's team did my hair & makeup along with my entire bridal party plus my mom and mother-in-law. They showed up on-time and finished up everyone ahead of schedule! The ladies all looked amazing! My airbrush makeup was flawless and I absolutely loved my hair. Ask for Pati on her team... she's amazing!
Overall, Diem was great to work with, but there were a few instances where I had to follow up more than once because she had not responded right away. Nothing that got in the way of doing business though. Diem Angie's team is wonderful!

Diem Angie and Pati (my makeup and hair stylist) were awesome to work with. They accommodated our schedule and were flexible with changes and would not stop until they got the look just right for each person. It was so great to have total confidence in my look for my wedding day!

Diem and her associate Michelle were great! Their attention to what my bridesmaids, mother, stepmother, and mother-in-law wanted and how they could make everyone feel their best added a huge boost to our day. My trial run with Diem for bridal hair and makeup was productive, helpful, and informative. She listened to feedback, provided advice, and it paid off on our wedding day. I would highly recommend Diem and her team.

I could not have been happier with Diem Angie. I was lucky enough that she was available after my original hair and makeup person canceled on me two weeks before the wedding. She wasn’t available for one of my 3 events but quickly found one of her associates, Melissa who was also great. The three of us did a trial together within a week and I was very impressed with how beautiful her makeup was. I remained impressed with every look she put together throughout my events, each one completely different in colors and style. She was also very flexible and calm throughout the madness, even doing my sister’s makeup and hair. She and Melissa were also always professional and on time, in fact, Diem Angie woke me up the morning of my wedding to get me going and Melissa was waiting to do my reception makeup before the wedding was even over! You can’t go wrong with Diem Angie and you will be so amazed with her work.

Diem did my wedding makeup this past weekend. My makeup as a bride was beautiful. She listened to my suggestions and did what i asked.
As for my bridesmaids thats a different story. My sister wanted airbrush, but the machine was broken and on top of everything her hair was done in 5 minutes because they ran out of time; she had no curls after church. As for my other bridesmaid her makeup didn't last as all! I feel bad because i booked this company and they paid a lot of money and it was worthless for them.
I would recommend DiemAngie for a bride not for bridesmaid makeup and i wouldn't do the trial its too expensive and it can only be done during the week days which is annoying because you cant even go out and test out how the makeup looks after a night out. Best of luck!
