From our engagement photos all the way through our wedding day, the experience was absolutely excellent. Dexter was in constant communication throughout the entire process, which made everything feel smooth, organized, and stress free.
On the wedding day, we had two photographers and a videographer (Becky, Tommy, and Juan) and they were all fantastic. I highly recommend having a second photographer and videographer because it truly made a difference in capturing every special moment from multiple angles.
The photos and video we received were beautiful, and we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. We were given a drive with all of our photos, along with another drive we provided for them to upload all of the raw video footage.
In addition to photography services, Dexter went above and beyond with helping us plan our honeymoon as well. He made the entire process seamless, handled any travel issues that came up, and supported us from start to finish.
We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend Dexter and his team

Professional, artistic eye, fun to work with

Professional Team

The Dexter team was amazing to work with. We love how their wedding video really capture how the whole day felt to us. We have received a lot of compliments that even though the videographer was present throughout the day, he never was in the way and you would almost forget he was there, which you would never know by how amazing he did at capturing everything. I also loved that there were different options of rough footage available to add on to your package to make sure you have all of the memories with you for a lifetime. A 10/10 experience!

Awesome and Excellent

My wife and I just got married at Hiland Park Country Club. Dexter and his staff did a great job making sure that all photos were done with great scenery and professional precision. Made sure that my wife and I were comfortable at all times and made the time fun and enjoyable. He gave us a run down of the day and how pictures would go, so we would know what to expect. Great guy and easy to work with.

Wonderful People to work with!

Dexter Davis was absolutely wonderful! They had a gentleman named Mike assist us with video on our wedding day, and he was the most energetic, positive, and motivated cameraman I’ve ever met! Mike was very creative and kept his eyes open to make sure he was catching those unique moments. I definitely appreciated that!! I would recommend this vendor 1,000 times over!

Amazing Service

We loved Dexter Davis Photography! Dexter was great helping me pick the perfect package for our special day, even though we had to do everything virtually because of Covid. He took the time to explain things to me, and set up the perfect day of timeline. He set us up with Becky who did our engagement photos and the wedding, she was amazing as well. Becky took some amazing shots and really worked well with us and capturing our happiness. We couldn't be more happier with the service we received.

Fantastic Vendor

After hiring them the year prior for my original wedding date, I reached out to Dexter Davis pretty late in re-planning my postponed wedding planning. They were so understanding, flexible, and professional. We had Juan shoot our footage on our wedding day and he was very accommodating while working well alongside all of our vendors to capture all of the important moments.

Great Team! Gorgeous Photos!

We hired Dexter Davis for both photography and videography services. Dexter and Becky were our photographers and Anthony was the videographer and we couldn't be happier with the team as a whole. Our photos are absolutely gorgeous, the team had great communication, gave great guidance for the timeline of the day, poses and locations in downtown Albany, and was flexible when our plans changed multiple times due to COVID. Dexter even came out in a bitterly cold snowstorm in Saratoga to shoot our engagement photos and shot our COVID wedding on Lake George. Despite the challenges, weather, and even a protest in Albany on our wedding day which forced us to change our first look plans, Dexter was with us every step of the way and never once complained or told us something wasn't possible. We couldn't be happier with our experience working with Dexter and his team and we absolutely recommend him to any other couple. We would be thrilled to hire him again for any future events that need the moment captured!

One stop shop for all your photo and video needs!

We met Dexter at the wedding expo in Albany. We were able to schedule a time to meet with him at his studio and see some of the amazing work he as done for other weddings. He was very professional, listened to our vision, and helped us to plan out the perfect wedding day timeline with adequate time for photos. Dexter and Milan did our engagement photos, which turned out great! For our wedding day, we had 3 photographers (Dexter, Becky, and Eddie) and a videographer (Juan) through Dexter Photography. Everyone we worked with was so kind, patient, and able to help us feel relaxed. We also really liked how experienced Dexter was working with the State Room and The Music Man. It made our wedding experience so seamless! We recommend working with Dexter for all your photo and film needs if you're in the Albany area! And we can't wait to see our wedding photos and video!!

Great experience!

We really loved working with Dexter and his team. Dexter was communicative, answered all questions promptly, and was helpful in mapping out our day. Wedding planning during COVID was less than ideal, though Dexter was great in terms of coming up with a contingency plan if we had to postpone and working through my concerns.
On the day of, we worked with Jeff and Tommy. They were phenomenal. I was really anxious and Jeff worked to help me feel at ease, especially during the first look. Both were fun and easy to work with (we are both pretty camera shy). We will definitely be recommending Dexter and his crew to other couples!

The Best In Upstate New York

Dexter and his staff were so easy to work with leading up to, through our wedding and after our wedding. We met with him numerous times prior to the wedding including our engagement shoot with our dogs. We also met prior to the wedding and also spoke on the phone numerous times so that we were all on the same page for the wedding day. Finally we met with Dexter when the photos and video were completed and he even had presents for us. Our photos and wedding video came out amazingly and they captured all of the right shots. I mean this in a good way, you barely even noticed that they were there because they stayed out of the way, but then looking at the photos and wedding video, they were right there the entire time to capture everything. We would like to thank Dexter and his entire staff for capturing our wedding day so perfectly. I cannot thank them enough and honestly I would recommend Dexter to every single couple getting married. Thank you.

Our photographer was Becky. She did our engagement photos and they turned out wonderful! She also took shots of us girls getting ready on the wedding day. A second photographer went and took photos of the guys getting ready. We then had a first look, so we could have our fur babies in some pictures. Once at our venue, they were very creative with getting some very fun photos. They were very professional and very nice. They were also very easy to work with.

I cannot say enough about Dexter and his team! From our initial interview phone call to the closing phone call, everyone I dealt with made me feel that my day was unique and not just another "job" for them. Becky found amazing spots for pictures on a not-so- perfect day for outdoor pictures. The rainheld off long enough to get some beautiful shots with great views behind us! The video came out amazing! They captured every important peice of the day and put it together with an artist flair! I highly recommend hiring this vendor for any special day you may have!

Although it rained on our big day that was not a problem for Dexter’s photographers. They had a backup plan for our photos and everything came out perfectly. Dexter and his team have 100% been awesome to work with. Dexter is super laid back but yet AWESOME at what he does- making you super comfortable to be in front of his camera. On our wedding day in the moments of the ceremony and reception you did not even know him and the 2nd photographer were there- staying out of the way while capturing every beautiful moment I am sure. The team was organized during wedding party and family photos that we had requested making getting photos down stress free and more efficient. Michelle was the second photographer and was great coming up with various ideas- her and Dexter worked great together to get multiple angles and adjust lighting to ensure the most perfect shots. Also Beach the videographer was awesome to work with- super creative in his work. Also the Photo Booth was a blast and our guests definitely enjoyed that it was great having the attendant there to assist and greet our guests- that attendant also was a great help during our first look to assist me in handling my dress and train :) I CANNOT WAIT to see my videos and photos!! Dexter and team were such an amazing group to work with. Their laid back attitude made working with them such a pleasure. Dex and Sarah were the photographers for our wedding day and we couldn't have asked for a better team. They are both so talented and each had their own style which made for some incredible and unique shots. They were also great when my aunt jumped in to get some of the shots they were taking. Dexter and Sarah were wonderful - from the first meet, engagement photos, to rolling with the crazy weather on our wedding day.

They were extremely flexible and made some game time changes to accommodate the rain we had at the wedding. The professionalism is unparallelled, as it was seemingly seamless transitions.

We're only a few weeks after the event, but from the few teaser photos, I am BEYOND excited to see the rest!

I completely forgot to leave a review! Dexter and Becky, his associate photographer were amazing! I love how laid back, yet professional Dexter was with us and truly made our day special. We had Dexter and his associate all day long from start to finish and I was not disappointed. Our photos came out great and he is very attentive to detail. We ordered an album with him and LOVE IT. Truly a gifted man! We will be ordering more from him if we can get moving on the ball (on our end) and decide which photos are our favorites because there are too many to choose from! I highly recommend Dexter to any couple looking for a photographer!

We knew of Dexter from a sibling’s wedding and had seen first-hand his professionalism and beautiful photos he captured. We were in luck when we first contacted Dexter as his only available Saturday left in his busy wedding season was our wedding day, and we hired him during that first phone call. Dexter shot our engagement photos as well as our wedding day. He did a great job of capturing our special moments with incredible backgrounds, angles, lighting, and poses. His relaxed demeanor made us feel at ease instantly. Dexter is very professional and walked us through every detail from planning the engagement photo locations to planning out the photos and events of the wedding day. Dexter and his assistant were awesome! We gave him a list of photos we wanted and we were able to get through the entire list before our wedding started so we were able to enjoy the night with our guests! He had awesome photo ideas and rolled with everything we threw at him! We got a couple of photos back already and they look awesome! Also you have to use his photo booth! Our guests loved it, it was definitely one of the highlights of the night!

I don't even know where to begin with Dexter!
He was amazing! He was our second photographer to have a meeting with and we knew right then and their he was our pick! He was very accommodating with the price and with what we were looking for. I had a budget but after looking at what we wanted and what he gave us for a price, we couldn't turn it down. We got 8 hrs of photography and videography, a photo booth, oh and our engagement session!
Dexter and his assistance's were awesome the day of the wedding! It turned out perfect! I can't wait to see the rest of the pictures and the video!!!

I worked with Dexter and Michele for my wedding, both were outstanding! They arrived to time and made sure we stayed on schedule with photos. They both made sure we got all the shots we wanted with of course lots of extras. We also had their photobooth which was such a hit with our guests! Working with Dexter and his team was an absolute joy for my husband and me. The quality of our photos is absolutely breathtaking. Dexter worked with us to make a package that fit our budget and his staff was also willing to travel hours farther than their usual clientel to shoot our wedding.\r\n\r\nMy Husband and I are not usually very comfortable in front of a camera but Kevin (Dexter\'s associate photog) made us feel so comfortable during both our engagement shoot and during our wedding. Ask my family, I rarely ever smile for photos, but Kevin kept us relaxed and laughing the whole time. You can really see our joy throughout all our photos. When I jokingly asked if we could walk out into the middle of the creek in the freezing cold water to get some cool shots, where other photogs might have said no in fear of getting their equipment wet, Kevin took off his shoes and jumped in the water with my husband and me.\r\n\r\nDave did an amazing job as not only our second shooter for the ceremony but also in setting up and working Dexter\'s photobooth during our reception. Friends and family still talk about how much fun it was. I lost count of how many guests, within 24 hours of the wedding, had used one of their photobooth strips as their new facebook profile picture and posted about how much fun they had had.\r\n\r\nDue to an issue with our venues equipment our ceremony site had to be changed last minute. When I informed Dexter\'s team about the last minute change of plans they made it so smooth and stress free for us. We could not have asked for anything more.

Dexter and Sarah shot our wedding on October 4, 2015. They were so easy to work with and really knew what they were doing. They found so many great locations at the venue to shoot in front of. We got married at the Glen Sanders Mansion, which is a beautiful location and Dexter made the most of the scenery. There was a random tree in the front of the building that I wouldn't have given a second look at, but Dexter used that tree during some of the shots to create a beautiful frame around us and those turned out to be some of my favorite pictures. I was really impressed with his attention to detail and ability to use the background like that. We just got our pictures back and they are absolutely stunning. We also hired Dexter for videography as a last minute add on decision because many people told us not to waste the money on video because they said we would never watch it. After getting the video back, I am so glad I didn't listen to those people. The video is absolutely awesome and definitely worth the money. Overall, Dexter and his team are really great and I highly recommend them!

My wife and I hired Dexter to shoot our engagement photos and wedding. We could not be more pleased with the quality of the pictures and the level of professionalism we received. Dexter and his support staff were always available to answer questions, bounce ideas off of, and provide experienced guidance for planning our special day. From the moment we met Dexter, he puts you at ease. He is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. I hateee getting my picture taken but by the end of our engagement photo shoot I didn't want it to end! I had such a hard time picking one for our save the dates since they were all amazing!! We had Kevin and Michelle from Dexter Davis Photography photograph our wedding at the State Room. They were awesome! The both of them made us feel at ease and were very professional. They had great ideas for pictures and must have taken hundreds of photos each. I cannot recommend them enough! Dexter and his associate, Sarah, were such a pleasure to work with. From our first meeting with Dexter, we loved his laid back personality and immediately felt comfortable with him. This was our first photographer that we met with and we instantly booked at the meeting. I had researched a lot of photographers before meeting, since it was such an important aspect to me. His pricing is extremely reasonable and his quality of work is top of the line, when comparing to others that I looked at.
Even though we hadn't had engagement photos with him, we instantly became comfortable during pictures for the wedding. He was able to keep us relaxed and we had so much fun with it that it didn't even feel like the camera was on us so much.
After receiving one teaser photo from the day, we cannot wait to receive the rest! His professionalism and quality of photos makes us recommend him to all couples!

Dexter and his team were fantastic. I did a lot of research to find a photographer I liked, because pictures were a priority to us. We found Dexter and booked engagement pictures, our wedding and the photo booth for our wedding day, all for less than what the other photographers I considered cost.

The photo booth was a big hit, and made for a fun activity when our guests wanted a break from dancing, and we're glad we booked that as well.

Neither of us are super comfortable with having our picture taken, especially for hours on end, but both photographers did a great job of making us feel comfortable and we even had a good time!

Our pictures turned out beautifully - Dexter and his team captured moments that we will cherish, especially some candid photos that really do capture the joy of our wedding day! We are so excited to get our canvas and album from Dexter.

We used Dexter for our wedding and engagement photographs. It was definitely money well spent. We felt like he worked with us to be within our budget and we ended up with amazing quality photographs. We were able to get all of our pictures on a jump drive packaged beautifully in a framed box. We continue to receive compliments about our photographs! Dexter and Dan were awesome to work with the day of the wedding. Dexter and his team are some of the best, most professional and fun people we have ever worked with. When we saw one of our friends' wedding pictures, we knew we had to have Dex. He has an amazing way of getting the traditional family photos and wedding shots, and combines it with the candid shots and angles that make amazing memories for a life time.

I am absolutely in love with my photos and all my family and friends said there isn't one bad photo in the 800+ we received. Dex knows all the little tricks of getting the right shot at the right time, and don't be surprised to see him climbing into bushes or on the ground to get the right angle! We had a rainy day for our wedding and you would never know it. And the only way you would is that he took some amazing photos with our reflection in a big puddle that came out stunning!

We also had one of Dex's photo booths, which are not your typical photo booths that fit only so many people and all you see are faces. We got to pick out our own back drop, and Dex's team of two other photographers came and used their "photo booth" camera, while 6 or so people all filled in with some hilarious props that they brought along. The 4x6 photos print out instantly and his team made sure everyone got a copy of them right there, one copy went into a photo album for us that we provided, and if people wanted them to be sent to them via email, it was done all at the same time. Plus, all the photo booth pictures were available right on Dex's website and were also included in the flash drive we received of all of our wedding photos.

We recommend him to all of our friends and family, and they're all still talking about how gorgeous our pictures are and how unique our photo booth was.

We planned our wedding two years in advance. Knowing that photography was very important to us, Josh and I tried to find a photographer ASAP. We could not be more thrilled and excited to see our beautiful photographs and wonderful video of our wedding. Dexter and Dan captured us, our family and friends perfectly. Finding the right photographer was very important to me for my wedding. The one thing I wanted out of that special day, besides my husband, was perfect pictures.
It took me a long time. I had went to a few bridal shows, I facebooked and googles photographers in the area. I was coming up short. These photographers were good, their pictures were elegant, beautiful and classy, but they all had one thing in common...They all looked staged. I was getting very discouraged and was ready to settle when my aunt (and wedding planner) mentioned how she had went to a wedding last year and they had a really good photographer, he was organized and professional. She showed me his website and I immediately fell in love with is work!
I was so impressed with Dexter's portfolio online, we set up a meeting for that following week and on our first meeting with him I booked him without thinking twice, best decision of our wedding.
The day of the wedding mother nature decided to dump almost 6in of snow on the ground, but that didn't stop Dexter! He had me and my girls outside taking pictures, same with the guys. I had made a list of pictures I wanted with family members and friends, he had the list and was, like Aunt Carol said, very organized and quick with the formal family pics. We then went up to Lake George where I had insisted on getting pictures of my husband and I out on the lake, Dexter and his assistance followed, never complaining about the snow they were trying to walk through! In some places the snow was almost up to their knees!! Didn't stop them. They were both great sports about my crazy ideas and being in the cold for so long.
I have no complaints about choosing Dexter as my photographer. He is an excellent photographer, his work is absolutely amazing, I would recommend him to anyone!!

We met a fair amount of photographers in the wedding planning process, and they all came across as professional and capable of doing a good job. We weren't sure who to go with, but Dexter stuck out in my mind. I met him at the Albany Bridal Show in 2012, and I loved how relaxed and personable he was. So my fiance and I met Dexter at his studio with a large sheet of questions. Unlike the last photographer we talked to, Dexter was comfortable answering every question in detail, and he seemed genuinely interested in what we were looking for in our wedding. We talked for over an hour!

We decided that Dexter was the right choice for us and signed up for a wedding package that included engagement photos. I am not a huge fan of having my picture taken, but Dexter made the engagement session fun and light. We were so happy with our engagement pictures, that we knew we made the right choice.

Dexter and Yemi were wonderful on our wedding day. They were friendly, upbeat, and professional, which is so important when you are nervous about everything else. They handled the mad dash to get the family pictures done before sunset and still managed to get amazing pictures of Adam and I before the light disappeared, and neither of them lost a smile. They strove to get the very best shots possible regardless of the lack of sun. Great customer service is surprisingly hard to find in the wedding business, so I highly recommend going for the vendors that treat you the right way. Dexter and Yemi displayed to us that they truly value their brides and grooms.

Our wedding pictures came out fantastic, and all of our family and friends agreed. We have recommended Dexter Davis Photography to two brides already, and we highly recommend them to anyone else.

Dexter and Sarah were amazing to work with on the day of our wedding. After having our engagement photos done by Dexter we knew that he would be great on our wedding day. He called a few weeks ahead of time to set up times for the day and then the day before to confirm everything. Both Dexter and Sarah arrived on time and got right to work taking detail photos and helping to get the guys ready for the day. We found Dexter to be quiet and laid back, making him easy to work with and a pleasure to have around...even with the crazy bunch of girls I had in the hotel room. They were both wonderful, friendly and stayed out of the way the whole day. It was like they weren't even there! We had given Dexter an extensive family and friends photo list and he worked to make sure everything that we asked for was done and was very patient while we ran around trying to round up the groups. We can not wait to see the finished product!

Working with Dexter and Becky was great. They were both very professional and absolutely a pleasure to work with. I especially like Dexter's style of photography. He takes many candid shots and with the exception of the mandatory formal photos that every bride has to pose for I never knew when he was taking my picture. My wife and I were getting married in Saratoga Springs, NY had met with a few different photographers in the area that unfortunately we were just not satisfied with. Both of us have worked in the entertainment field for years as performers and my wife is also a makeup artist who works with numerous photographers in NYC. We called Dexter on a whim after looking at photographers in Albany, seeing his awesome website, and realizing that he traveled to Saratoga to shoot. From the moment we met him we knew we had found the photographer for us! He understood exactly what we wanted for our wedding - "Old Hollywood Glamour", and boy did he deliver!

He offered to take our engagement photos first. We had been engaged for 6 months at that point so it really wasn't something that had crossed our mind. We agreed and met him in Albany one evening. The shots from the engagement session blew us away! We used them for our wedding website, our "Save the Date" cards, as well as our wedding programs. It also gave us the opportunity for all of us to get to know each other! It set the tone for what was going to come on our wedding day!

As for the wedding day....we were shot by Dex and his amazing assistant Sarah. They blended in seamlessly with everything going on that day (and as with any wedding day there was a lot going on!). We were completely comfortable with the both of them and seeing their reactions when they would look at the shots they had just taken we knew we were in good hands! They worked tirelessly to get the shots that they knew would capture the event in the truest sense!

Our wedding was just over a month ago and so far the pictures that have been popping up online have blown EVERYONE away! We cannot thank Dex and Sarah enough and seriously will be recommending them to everyone!

We ran into some rainy weather on the day of our engagement photo shoot, but Dexter was so flexible and had no problem rescheduling. He and his assistant Kevin where great to work with on our wedding day! They were organized and professional, yet laid back and fun. We would definitely recommend Dexter and his crew to family and friends!

Dexter and his assistant Becky were extremely professional on our wedding day. The pictures that he takes are amazing and always great quality. Dexter and all his employees are very helpful and very professional. After our engagement session, he puts pictures up on Facebook and his own website as a little preview, there was a picture that I didn't like too much on his website, but they thought still looked good. I politely asked if they would take it off the site because I was self conscious about that picture and with in an hour the picture had come off, no questions asked.

Dexter made the wedding day very comfortable, half the time I didn't even know he was in the room, he's very professional. He's very open to others ideas as well, as far as taking certain pictures. I would definitely recommended dexter and his crew for any occasion!

We cannot say enough about how awesome Dexter Davis and his team were! They worked with us, as we definitely had visions of how we wanted our pictures on our special day (non-traditional wedding poses) and Dexter and his assistant Sarah were happy, willing to take the shots, flexible and fun! Dexter also shot our engagement photos and they were amazing!

I would recommend Dexter Davis Photography to any bride and groom! The quality of the photos is amazing, and the value for the price paid is so much better than several other vendors my friends have mentioned and that we had obtained quotes from. Dexter worked with my husband and I on very short notice (approximately 2 months) and was willing to shoot our wedding on the night before Thanksgiving. Dexter and his assistant, Sarah, took several amazing photos, our friends and family are still raving about how great the photos turned out. The quality of the photos surpassed everyone's expectations. Dexter was very flexible and willing to take photo poses that my husband and I had wanted that were "non-traditional". The albums that we had made by Dexter also turned out terrific. Shortly after our wedding we moved to Europe, Dexter and his team made it easy for us to view the photos and select the ones for the album desipte the fact that we were not in Albany. There is not a single thing about Dexter and Sarah's services that we did not like or would have changed. They did a fantastic job.

Dexter and his assistant Kevin shot our wedding and they were just wonderful. They were able to be there for the whole day unlike most other photographers we looked at and they were worth every penny. Our pictures came out beautifully and they were so much fun to work with. Dexter Davis Photography and Video was hands down the perfect choice for our wedding photos and video. Dexter and his office staff were responsive, patient with questions, very clear about information, and so organized when it came to the day of the wedding schedule. Of course his pictures are just phenomenal, which you can see from the great blogs that he posts of all the engagement shoots and weddings that he does- this is how we knew we wanted to book him for our wedding without ever meeting him in person! We were living across the country from where we were getting married and I just knew that I needed to have him booked before I was able to get home to meet him- definitely the right choice! We've received all of our photos and the video, both of which are just amazing and will be incredible keepsakes of our wedding day! Dexter is great to work with and our pictures/video are just beyond my expectations!

Dexter and Kevin did a great job on the photos taken at our wedding. Not only were they enthusiastic about the photos they went with the flow when some of our bridal party wanted to do some adventurous action shots. I would highly recommend Dexter Davis.

Where do we begin? The weather was perfect, the venue was outstanding and Dexter and Sarah were just incredible! Getting to know Dexter at various social events prior to our wedding made us very sure with our choice! Dexter is so passionate in what he does and has a great eye when it comes to creating memorable moments throughout the day.

Dexter was extremely accommodating as to how we wanted to the day to progress and used us and the surroundings to capture just amazing photos! From the pre-ceremony until the later part of the reception, he was just unbelievably easy to work with! Also, having Sarah as the second photographer just allowed for each moment to be photographed in a different way. She was also such a joy to work with!

Every once in a while I would look over at either Dexter or Sarah after they snapped a picture or two and I saw the smiles on their face as they reviewed the shot. If they're happy with what they captured, then I can only imagine how we will feel when we see the finished product!!

Dexter Davis Photography and Video are A++ in our book! Highly recommended! You will not be disappointed in any way, shape or form!!

I could not be happier with my experience with Dexter Davis. Being an out of town bride, I wasn't able to meet Dexter until my wedding day, but regardless, he was always responsive to calls and emails. He was one of the very few vendors that I would call, and he would actually pick up the phone! Or if not, call back within a day.

The day of our wedding, Dexter went above and beyond my expectations. He was cool and relaxed, which is so refreshing on the wedding day when it feels like everyone is running around crazy! Even though we had a tight timeline, he was able to get more shots than I expected, which I was very happy about. And at the reception, he was so unobtrusive that I hardly noticed him the whole night! Though from the number of pictures we got, he didn't miss a thing. I had a long list of shots I wanted, and family pictures, and everything I asked for was covered. And the quality of the pictures themselves is beyond comparison! We have so many stunning shots, I'm still in shock. I am so happy because it rained on our wedding day and I was afraid the pictures would just be blah and gloomy, but they look amazing! Choosing which pictures to put on the wall or in an album is going to be a struggle!

Overall, Dexter is one of the very best vendors we had at our wedding, and I would recommend him to anyone! We've already had someone who attended our wedding want to book him for their daughter's wedding!

Had the team of Sara and Kevin for our wedding. Amazing. Made my husband and I feel right at home in front of the camera. Even helped us incorporate my husbands beloved car in some of our pictures. Only seen one picture so far. DYING to see more since I know how amazing they will be!!

I only had a few months to throw together a winter wedding. After seeing Dexters's photos on his online blog I knew I wanted him as my photographer. I was so happy to find out he was available on such sort notice. From our first contacts via email he was always professional and helpful. He and his assistant were a sheer pleasure to work with on our wedding day. The few teaser photos that my husband and I saw were amazing and we are looking forward to seeing the final product. If you can book Dexter I would not pass up the opportunity!!

I came across Dexter by sheer luck after our photographer turned out to be a scam (finding this out one month before the wedding!). So I was certainly nervous and very apprehensive about choosing another photographer. Our wedding was different too - it was located an hour away from Albany, on a Thursday, and there was no reception/dancing - just a small gathering of family and friends. However, Dex still captured the entire day as if it were a gala for 500. He was on time, responsive to all of my texts and emails, and overall comfortable to work with. His partner, Kevin, was so great with the groomsmen and took amazing pictures too. The quality and amount of pics taken were breathtaking, especially with such a small window of time. The turnaround for my proofs was equally amazing. I work in the wedding industry and have come across my fair share of photographers - but Dex as certainly stood out with quality, affordability, and pure professionalism. I highly recommend him!!

Wow! That is the first thing that comes to mind when I think about Dexter Davis Photography. For me, the photographer was one of the most important vendors when planning the wedding. The pictures are the one thing you have forever. I wanted a photographer who had photos that had an artistic look to them. I didn't want photos that looked like anyone at the party could have taken them. When I saw Dexter Davis's portfolio online, I fell in love immediately!

Dexter Davis is an outstanding photographer. He is professional, reliable and makes you feel very comfortable. He was very willing to work with us. We are from out of town and due to weather, we had to keep postponing our engagement photo session that he offers. He worked with us and was so flexible with his schedule. For our wedding, he listened to what photos we wanted and made sure it happened. He also was great at capturing the moment as it naturally happened. I look at some of the photos he took and say to myself "I didn't even know he saw us do that!" He was able to capture the most beautiful pictures I have ever seen without being in your face.

Because of Dexter Davis Photography, my husband and I have wonderful pictures we get to enjoy for many years to come. Dexter Davis is a true artist.

Dexter makes you feel comfortable from the minute you meet him! I love that he includes an engagement photo session! It was great getting to know him before the big day. It was nice putting all the wedding day photography into his capable hands! My sister is getting married next and we are already know we want Dex! Originally I was thinking of just having friends take the pictures, but then I decided that this was my wedding and the last thing I wanted was mediocre pictures. So by the time I made the decision to have a professional, the wedding was only six months away and it is hard to find a good photographer that isn't already booked. I sent out at least 20 emails and I was so fortunate that no one had yet booked Dexter. He responded within a couple of hours and though he wasn't able to do exactly what I had asked (I wanted 1 hour of coverage) he was willing to work with me.

When I met with Dexter and we talked about the coverage and timing and everything, he was so concerned about having him there for so short a time that I would be missing out on so many great picture moments. So he did talk me into 4 hours and I am so glad that he did! The price was unbelievable for what we got. He got to the venue early enough that he was able to take some pre-wedding shots. He was very professional. Nobody even noticed him during the ceremony but somehow he got a lot of great shots. He had scoped out locations for the group pictures and everything went so smoothly. He knew what he wanted and it was easy to just follow directions and he was very open to any suggestions we had. When it was getting close to when he was going to leave he let me know in case I wanted any last shots.

After the wedding he immediately put up pictures on Facebook so everyone could get a taste of what was coming. They all looked so professional. I couldn't believe it was me in the pictures! In a couple of weeks they were all up online in order and separated into folders (so organized!). A few weeks later I got my DVDs with all the pictures.

Everything was so well done I have no complaints. I was stressing out when I was 6 months away with no photographer and everyone was booked a year in advance. Once I found Dexter the whole photography element became the easiest (most stress free) part of the whole wedding and what's funny is that's the part that makes everything else sorta last forever.

Dexter did an amazing job on our wedding. The pictures were all beautiful and we've received so many compliments on them. The service was also really fast, pictures were posted online within a few weeks and we had all of our pictures and our video within two months of our wedding.

Dexter wasn't intrusive on our wedding day as I've heard can happen with some photographers. He let everything happen naturally and was still there to capture every moment.

I was surprised at how reasonable Dexter's prices were compared to other photographers we check out. We went with Dexter based on a friend's recommendation and now I would recommend him to anyone. The only problem will be narrowing down the photos for our album...we love them all!
