    My husband and I both got our wedding bands here. My engagement ring had been giving us some trouble, but they helped us out and my ring turned out beautiful.

    We actually went to the store in Chico, but I couldn't find that store on this list. I just wanted to say that DeVon's is great! They had great selection and where very professional and helpful in picking out my ring. We went back 3-4 times because we couldn't make up our minds and each time they were very patient and understanding. They offered a couple different payment plans and gave us discounted pricing on the ring we finally picked. And I LOVE my ring! We ended up picking a whole new engagement set, which is absolutely beautiful. The ring that I had originally picked was outside our price range but they helped me find another that was in our price range and I love. They were definitely pricey but they are quality rings.

    We purchased our bands from Devon's Jewelers in Modesto, where we walked to other jewelers to compare pricing and found theirs to be the best for the same items! We've also purchased other jewelry from them before and like the way they do business! We also LOVE our rings! Perfect!

    Devon's is amazing. They treat everyone as a valued customer! I really appreciate their attentiveness to our wants and needs. The jewelers have a lot of experience and know what they are talking about.

    I went into Devon jewelers with my husband to pick out a new ring and we were fresh out of the gym, wearing sweat pants, just looked like a mess. And we were treated like a million bucks. They sat us right down and didn't try to degrade us by showing us the cheapest rings they had. Great customer service. I haven't purchased anything yet so I can't speak on anything having to do with quality however I definitely will be purchasing my ring there.

    I'm a fan of Devon's for a few reasons, but one great reason is their trade-in/upgrade plan. When I was 19, I had a promise ring from a then-boyfriend (and the store's account was under both of our names). Well, we broke up of course. Because of the trade-in/upgrade policy at Devon's, we were able to trade-in the ring for a new ring. I didn't need the old one and my fiance didn't mind saving a few dollars. Essentially, as long as you're buying something that's at least twice the value of the old item, you get the full value of the old item as a trade-in. For example, say the promise ring was purchased for $500. Then the wedding ring was priced at $1100. Trading in the promise ring for $500, we only had to pay $600 for the wedding band. However, if the wedding band was only $800, then they would only apply 50% of the promise ring's value at $400 for the trade-in, and then it would be $400 out of pocket. Hopefully that makes sense.

    Aside from all that, I've always found rings I like at Devon's. I've shopped there for right hand rings, my engagement ring, my wedding band, etc. They are knowledgeable, happy, non-pressuring sales people. Oh, and they'll always clean up my ring every time I bring it in, for free.

    Devons located in Arden Mall was where my husband bought my Tacori wedding band to match the engagement ring. They were having a sale on all Tacori rings women and men. Service was okay. Had a couple of hiccups regarding getting my ring adjusted in terms of when I went to pick up my ring after it getting resized I notice a line on my band that indicated where they had cut my ring to have it resized. I had to leave it with them and come back to pick it up at a later time. When I came back to pick it up I noticed that there was this dark spot on my right. Again I had to leave my right with them again so that they can have the ring cleaned or fixed. I feel the worker who does the resizing and the Devons staff sure doesn't take the time in inspecting the finished quality of the ring prior to contacting their clients and that's why I took off some stars. People pay a good chunk of money for wedding rings and you would think the workers would talk pride in what they do and try their best in making sure their customers are well taken care of.

    I will never purchase anything from here again. We bought my wedding ring here at the Arden Fair Mall store. The sales staff was great while trying to make a decision on which ring to buy. That service stopped once my ring was purchased and the problems began.

    First problem, the day of our wedding I went in to pick up my ring and found it was sized wrong (too small). Not a big deal, I could still get it on and thought I’d just have it fixed later. Wedding goes on no problem and we are off to our honeymoon. Second problem, on the 3rd day of our trip I noticed my white gold (P4r) ring is very yellow. We return home and go into the store and speak with the store manager Tom. He (and all the other sales people) tells us they have never seen anything like that and they want to contact the company that makes the ring. A few days go by and Tom calls me to say they will be replacing the ring.

    A few months go by and I head in to have the ring cleaned because I can see what looks like dirt under one of the diamonds (Third problem). They take it in the back clean it up but it still looks a little dirty and ask me to come back when the jeweler is in. Two days later I head back in and Tom and the jeweler are looking at the ring now. After looking at it, Tom tells me that someone used a jeweler tool on the ring and damaged the ring (in a very accusing manner) and that it would be about $75 in gold to fix the damaged area. After arguing that I do not own any jeweler tools they finally decide to fix it. The next day a small diamond falls out of the ring somewhere in my front lawn (fourth problem). I again head back to the store and Tom, once again in a very accusing manner, tells me that diamonds don’t just fall out. Now, the diamond that fell out was maybe .05 of a carat (very small) and has to be very inexpensive. Again, after arguing more and basically being called a liar in the middle of the store, Tom said they will fix the ring.

    A few months go by and I am starting to notice that the ring is now turning very yellow again (fifth problem) so I head back in. Tom looks the ring over and tells me it just needs to be cleaned. He takes it in the back and returns in a few minutes with my ring which did look better. Another week goes by and my ring is now yellow again (sixth problem). So once again I head back in and now Tom tells me that it is probably turning yellow because I have been changing my newborn’s diapers and there must be some chemical reaction going on. With pure disgust, I ask him if he is joking and he told me no, he has seen it many times.

    I have yet to go back because Tom clearly does not care about the customers once they have made their purchase. I will never buy anything there again after all of this trouble and do not recommend anyone to purchase anything from there. This was all over a men’s wedding band that cost only about $500… maybe that was the problem, I didn’t spend enough money there.

    I do fully recommend Jared the Galleria of Jewelry on Arden Way, they are very helpful and have great customer service!

    Be careful of buying anything costly at Devons Jewelers -- if you should decide that you want to return it for a refund they will give any reason why they will not refund your return. They have a 7 day return policy with lots of little rules! Furthermore, they discount some of their older Rolex watches; I was very surprised because Rolex watches never go on sale! I could be wrong here, but I thought discounting Rolex watches was not a normal practice of Rolex. Their sales staff told me that a Rolex I was looking at had gold in the band -- when I got home I checked it out and found out it had no gold in the band, either a misrepresentation or lack of knowledge -- either way not a good way to do business! It appears that Devon' Jewelers is not willing to work with their customers at all -- if they can make a sale then you are just about stuck with whatever you bought! I won't return to Devons Jewelers for any future purchases!
