  Rockstar photographer!

  My experience with Deutsch Photography was stellar!! I hired them to take photos of my fiance and I at an engagement party -- a small karaoke venue no less -- a setting that seemed like it might be really hard to take photos. We wanted to use these photos for a Save the Date card.
  
  Brett did an incredible job!! We were shocked how many photos there were to choose from. I do not consider myself photogenic but we found a way to make me look good and to capture "unique couple" interactions. Brett was also great at the editing of our faves to give us many excellent options.
  
  The Save the Date cards came out great -- and I'm psyched to hire Brett again for my upcoming wedding!! 5-stars all the way!

  Incredible Photographer

  It's been about a month since our engagement, so my life is starting to normal out and I finally have time to acknowledge Brett in a public way. Brett was an absolute professional - from almost-immediate responses on email to simulated walk-throughs and through execution of my proposal. I have to imagine that my proposal (an elaborate plan that went dramatically wrong) will be one of the most challenging experiences of his career; but he helped me to make it better than I had planned, and ultimately the most magical experience of our lives. While Brett played many roles for us that day, he was there to take pictures. And my goodness, he did an incredible job capturing all of the emotions in our special moment. I thank Brett endlessly, and look forward to working with him for all of our future events.

  Amazing experience

  Brett was wonderful to work with. Due to covid, we needed to cancel and reschedule 4 times over the course of a year. Brett was flexible throughout and ensured me he’d be there whenever we could make it happen. The photos are so amazing. I am just so emotional and happy looking through the galleries of more than a thousand shots. He beautifully captured the day, the emotions, the joy, and every little moment. Just truly wonderful and I am very grateful!!

  Great photos, great experience!

  We really enjoyed working with Brett. He was responsive and quick in getting us the photos back within 2 weeks after the wedding. The photos came out amazing and he captured all of the moments we had asked for.

  Breathtaking photos for sure!!!

  I loved the photos Brett took for me and my now husband. He helped direct us and was creative with props. Everyone always compliments us on our photos when they see them in our house. They say we look like models :) I would trust nobody else to capture important moments.

  Lifetime of happy memories

  Brett and his team were the absolute best. His attention to detail was amazing and all of our family and friends fell in love with his warm personality. His prices are very reasonable by industry standards and the quality he delivers is amazing. In my opinion where his work shined the most was at the reception. The party pics he captured of all our our guests and and emotions was priceless.

  Perfect in every way

  When I look at our wedding album, I am so grateful for Brett - not only for the beautiful formal portraits, but for the hundreds of candid moments he captured throughout the night. These pictures - of my friends and loved ones dancing and laughing - keep the memory of that day alive. Brett is fantastic to work with - he is relaxed, friendly, patient, and accommodating - but he also knows when it's time to pop out of the woodwork, grab the bride and groom, and say, "hey, come over here now - we've got to get a picture of you in this field with the fireflies." He helped make our day magical.

I didn't even see him there!). And he strikes a perfect balance in his interactions with family and friends, creating a feeling of familiarity, humor, competence, and ease without ever being overly intimate, schmoozy, or sentimental. My whole extended family would recommend him wholeheartedly.

  Look no further!

  Weddings can be stressful. A lot of decisions have to be made even for a small ceremony in the Central Park like ours. But one thing we did not have to worry about is selecting a photographer. It was a no-brainer. My husband met Bret few years back when he needed professional headshots and was so impressed with his skill and personality that we had to look no further for our ‘big day’.
  And Bret did not disappoint. He quickly put us at ease, listened and heard our preferences and the results were amazing.
  
  Now that we have a kid we meet a lot of new people and without exception every person visiting our apartment would comment on our wedding photo in the hallway.
  
  I cannot recommend Bret more! He is simply great and I would choose him again in flash!

  Brett was extremely professional and patient. I say patient because we had three kids in the bridal party that were all under the age of 3. All of our photos came out fantastic. It was extremely had to choose the photos for the album because our photos were so amazing. I would recommend Brett in a heartbeat.

  Can't recommend highly enough!

  Brett and his team were easy to work with, well-organized, professional, and clearly knew how to capture a wedding. It was one part of our wedding planning and execution that we literally did not have to worry about, and the results exceeded our expectations.

If you want a photographer who works really hard to document your wedding like it was royalty, from beautifully posed to unexpected moments, then Brett is your guy. Lastly, I didn't want to have to wait to see the photos...and he got them to me in a few days so we could relive the memories on our honeymoon. Thanks Brett, you helped us capture memories of a lifetime!

As always, there were all the usual family photos but he did a great job with some really creative, fun photos that captured the bride and groom's day as well. He was calm and easy to work with and did a great job of balancing all the wishes of all the different family members. We would use Brett again in a heartbeat!

  What mattered most to us was the candid shots. The ones that will bringing us the most joy when we look back. Brett understood this and did an amazing job. Even the standard posed pictures were perfect. I would highly recommend him for your events!!

  My wife-to-be, Lenka, and I could not find a wedding photographer we were happy with. We felt those we has spoken and/or met with were either too expensive or, more importantly to us, just didn't fit in with the "culture" we wanted to experience at our wedding. On the strong recommendation of a dog-walking acquaintance, we met Brett Deutsch and immediately knew he was the right person to memorialize our wedding; a decision we will always be happy we made. We liked Brett from the moment we met him and spent the first 30 minutes of our scheduled hour-long meeting just talking about our respective lives. We had an immediate comfort level with Brett, and by time we started reviewing his portfolio we knew we wanted to hire him. Other than during the requisite "group shots," we never knew Brett was at our wedding; something we heard from many guests as they saw photos of themselves in our beautiful album. The photos Brett took at our wedding were amazing. In fact, a couple who were guests at our wedding immediately hired Brett for their wedding based solely on the quality of our album. Lenka and I have since become very good friends with Brett and his wonderful wife/business-partner, Sherri Phillips. We think the world of them as professionals and friends.   Deutsch Photo was recommended to us by a friend and we were not disappointed. His level of skill in capturing the moments perfectly was amazing. He had the perfect balance of taking the requisite posed shots with family and friends but when it came time to the candid shots he was unobtrusive and at times we had no idea he was there. We were thrilled with the results, his editing, his demeanor, friendliness and professionalism. He is easy to get along with and knows exactly where to be at the right time. Since then we have used Brett's skills for other events, and have referred him to friends.

  Being averse to posed photos, we were reluctant to have a professional photographer at our wedding. Brett changed our mind about that. His photos are poignant, gorgeous, and capture the essence of each moment. We feel very lucky to have had him document our wedding on film. Kendra & Sandeep

But his passion and talent for photography is most evidenced in the way he captures the indiscernible. Brett somehow picks up the emotions behind expressions, the energy between people, and the essence of how we see others.
  
  We were blown away by our photos. I’m someone who admittedly doesn’t like my picture being taken so that is saying a lot!
  
  Brett is also an incredibly kind and fun-loving guy and interacting with him is so easy. Even still, he is completely unobtrusive and manages to stealthily take stunning photos.
