We have only received 2 out of 5 of our wedding videos so far and I couldn't wait any longer to write this review! Destination Wedding Stories is, without a doubt, the best videographer team in Costa Rica, maybe even the world. The guests that we've shared the videos with have said "these looks like a trailer for a motion picture film"! The quality, design, editing, creativity...is all out of this world! My husband was SUPER hesitant with hiring a videographer for our wedding because he didn't want it to feel like a "production" and when we got home from our wedding he said "he didn't even see the video people at the wedding"! Jami and her team do such a good job of being present and capturing all of the incredible details, but also giving you the space you need to enjoy the day. They are so friendly and fun and I wish we could go back to Costa Rica just to hang out with them. Hiring DWS and their team was some of the best money we spent on our wedding...these videos allow us to not only relive the day forever, but see so many things we missed too or catch little details we didn't get to pay enough attention to when the day was happening. I really cannot recommend working with them enough...they really are a dream team! Do yourselves a favor and HIRE THEM if you're getting married in Costa Rica! Pura vida! -

It can feel overwhelming to choose a videographer for a destination wedding but as soon as I saw samples of DWS' wedding portfolio, I knew DWS embraced the cinematic style I had envisioned for our wedding videography. Working with Jamileth and the DWS team was seamless: from understanding our relationship and our vision, to communication and payment, Jami was a pleasure to work with.
On the day of our wedding at Villa Punto de Vista, the DWS team was there to capture all of the important moments, while somehow never being in the way! They are true professionals. DWS happily and easily worked in collaboration with our photography team, and, between both teams, we feel like we had the dream photo/video team!
The video quality is incredible and includes drone footage. It is perfectly edited to sync to suitable music and nicely overlays audio from our vows, ceremony, speeches, and toasts.
We absolutely love our photos, but our wedding highlight video, teaser videos and ceremony cut are the perfect way to showcase the emotions and overall feeling of the day in a way that photos do not always do.
We are thrilled to have the combination of photos + video to remember our wedding celebration and are so grateful to have these memories that we will cherish forever. We recommend DWS to anyone looking for a destination wedding videographer in Costa Rica and beyond! -

One of our high priorities was capturing our big day without feeling like our moment was being invaded... Jamileth and her team were absolutely amazing. Every interaction was wonderful and fun! The final products were gorgeous - but what made them stand out to us is just how comfortable they made us feel. They knew how to take a possibly stressful day and allow us to just enjoy the moments. Every text or email was exciting because we knew Jamileth was sending us something beautiful to remember a moment from our big day. I was hesitant about booking a videographer for our destination wedding. I knew I wanted videos of my wedding, but can’t you just do that on an iPhone? The answer is technically, but when I received my wedding video from the DWS team, I realized a professionally edited video of your special day is 100% something you should invest in & leave the editing up to the professionals.
Jamileth & the other videographers made my husband and I feel relaxed on our special day. The crew gave us some direction, but not too much where we felt we could not be ourselves. After reviewing the final video once, we were BOTH in tears of happiness- reliving every moment we wanted captured. I think I’ve watched it 20 times since receiving it just the other day.
There was also one segment I wanted edited out from the final video where I said something goofy in my vows- Jamileth was completely understanding and edited the video and resent it my way within a few days. The DWS team should for sure be your top pick for your wedding day videographers. One last thing, 2 days after my wedding ended, I received an email from the videographers with a mini video sneak peak that completely blew my mind. It was a short clip, of our reception, where the videographers captured my guests and I viewing fireworks and it was just such a sweet thing to be sent right after the event ended to relive it all. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! -

We loved working with Jamileth! I would not consider ourselves to be "naturals" in front of the camera but she made it very comfortable and you definitely couldn't tell from our videos! Hiring a Videographer was not high on our priority list for our wedding and it ended up being a last minute decision but I'm so happy we did it! She did such an awesome job capturing all the small details of the day, as well as, the the most important parts we never want to forget! I cannot recommend her enough!! Well worth the money spent on her services! -

We researched numerous videographers for our destination wedding in Costa Rica, and Destination Wedding Stories is simply the best videography team...no doubt about it! Jamileth and her team were phenomenal to work with and we feel so lucky to have found Jamileth to capture our wedding. Jamileth provided clear guidance and direction on our wedding day (from how to hold my bouquet, to hair placement, to how to bend my foot to make the wedding dress flow out while my husband twirled me in mid air). We also hired Destination Wedding Stories for a creative video session the day after our wedding. We filmed at La Fortuna waterfall and at two other locations. Jamileth and her team climbed hundreds of stairs, climbed over slippery rocks and uneven terrain, and trekked through water all to film our creative video session adventures! She helped me literally crawl out of the water many times, always with a kind smile on her face and such patience for the water footage that we wanted to capture. We recently received the ceremony video and it is absolutely stunning. It brought me to tears of how happy I felt reliving my wedding day. Destination Wedding Stories don't just create videos...they create masterpieces! You can rest assured that you will have the most amazing simply out of this world videos if you hire Jamileth with Destination Wedding Stories, simply the best videography team! -

Outstanding work this company did.
I am in complete shock at how amazing our wedding video came out!! It had EVERYTHING I could’ve ever imagined all piled into one video. When asked if I could get a few extra clips for memory for a fee, they were on it so quick. Well worth the wait. Well worth the money. Just absolutely amazing. Everything is pieced together so perfect. And the music goes great. Would be happy to share my amazing video!
The photo posted was done by another photographer but posted to get your attention. I can brag about this videographer company for days. Great great work -

Love is Not Cancelled
In a world of pandemic uncertainties, Jamileth and her team assured us LOVE is not cancelled! We booked our daughter’s wedding 9 months PRIOR to the pandemic and were lucky enough to have secured an amazing film and photography team. We own our own production company in Texas so our expectations were very high. From the very beginning Jamileth warmly welcomed us, carefully listened to every request and assured us that she would do everything possible to make it the most special day. This was a destination wedding at The Springs Resort and Spa in La Fortuna Costa Rica and very difficult to plan from the U.S. in general. Fast forward to the borders and the resort closing for MANY months and despite all of that, she still worked hard at planning and keeping a positive outlook for us even when I was stressed and unsure. She came up with resolutions and suggestions for EVERYTHING and responded so promptly to absolutely everything I asked of them. We tasked them with unusual requests up until the very minute the bride walked down the aisle (45 min late I might add) however DW Stories delivered a solution with absolute perfection every single time! They always set my mind at ease and Jamileth quickly became more like a friend, taking genuine interest in our unique situation. It was very apparent that this wasn’t just a job, she really cared about the experience and the outcome. After a year and a half of planning, thankfully the wedding was held on the original date. Her calm demeanor and reassurance that our vision would be carried out was beyond our expectations. The money we invested in them allowed us to capture the most beautiful and magical week we could have ever asked for. The memories made will never be forgotten but the stress leading up to the big day are now a distant memory because of the beautiful keepsake we now have. If every wedding was filmed, photographed, and cared for in this way, you would never have an unhappy bride! The quality of the final products are something indescribable and worth every cent. We continue to watch it over and over thanking God we could make this happen for our daughter and her new husband. It allows us all to relive a moment we never wanted to end. Words can't possibly express the gratitude we have to their entire team! Pura Vida! -

We are SO thrilled with our decision to have Jamileth and Alejandro capture our wedding day! Our videos are so touching and emotional. And the editing is outstanding and so thoughtful. They gave great direction and lots of encouragement on the day-of, which helps when you might be a bit awkward in front of the camera :)

We're so lucky to have found DW Stories to serve as our videography team for our wedding day. We were looking for a very distinct style of footage - more cinematic and lively - rather than purely romantic. Alejandro had a call with us beforehand, asking us questions and showing us a lot of examples of his work, to make sure that he understood our vision. With his direction on the day of and Jamileth's editing to the songs of our choice, we ended up with beautiful videos that we were excited to share with our family and friends.
