Brittany was the most incredible hair and makeup artist that I’ve ever worked with! I was hesitant at first because I had no idea what I was doing and I’m not very knowledgeable on makeup. Brittany gave me the best tips and tricks. She worked with me from day one! My hair trial went incredible and we were able to make my vision come to life! I was blown away by the work Brittany did! And the ladies that she brought with her the day of to help her out were also some of the most incredible people we have ever met! I am so thrilled to have had Brittany Mims for my wedding hair and makeup. First of all, Brittany was a consummate professional from start to finish. She was responsive, answered all my questions, and even researched allergy friendly makeup for my daughter. I had a morning wedding and we met early at my venue. She was clear about the time needed to get us all ready on time, and she was spot on. I got compliments all day long on my hair and makeup. At least 10 women asked me how I got such gorgeous curls to look perfect all day long - this was an outdoor wedding July heat, and 12 hours later, everything still looked amazing! She and her colleague who did hair and makeup for my MOH, and my best friend who was my officiant, were a pleasure to work with and made sure everyone loved their looks. Comparing the costs, I'd say Brittany gave excellent services for a very reasonably price. I recommend her highly! -

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the hair and makeup team who helped make my wedding day absolutely perfect. From the very first trial to the day of, Brittany and her team were professional, attentive, warm, and beyond talented.
Every single member of the team made me and my bridal party feel so special and so beautiful. They truly listened to our visions and brought them to life flawlessly, enhancing our features while still making sure we felt like ourselves.
They were punctual, organized, calm, and created such a fun, relaxed atmosphere the morning of the wedding. Their positive energy was contagious and made the getting-ready experience even more memorable.
I received so many compliments on my hair and makeup, it was exactly what I had dreamed of and more. I truly felt like the most radiant version of myself, and I owe that to this incredible team. If you’re considering booking them for your big day, do it! You will be in the best hands.

Needless to say, Brittany & her girls exceeded ALL my expectations.

Brittany is an absolute gem. I was very nervous to start the beauty process as I have never gotten my makeup professionally done and I'm not really into glam as a hobby. From our first emails all through wedding day, Brittany was always responsive and made me feel calm, heard, and communicated with me thoroughly to make sure we were on the same page. She totally understood that I wanted to look like myself but elevated. She saw my vision and aced both hair and makeup looks at our first and only trial together. She plus one of her talented colleagues ended up doing hair and/or makeup for me, my 4 bridesmaids, my mom, and my MIL. We all looked incredible! Even when I accidentally got us started approx 30min late after misreading the contract start time, Brittany was so calm and kind and managed to get us all ready with time to spare. She also helped reassure me, let me take breaks when I needed to, and gave me the best advice when I was dealing with some pretty stressful day-of things like weather and guest drop-outs. I have never felt more beautiful than I did on our wedding day! I got told I looked like a model so many times it was crazy :). Brittany's work is amazing. My hair and makeup held up all day and night (probably like 17 hrs worth) despite the NJ humidity, tons of dancing, and even some rain. Not to mention I did a workout class after my trial and same thing! I would highly recommend Brittany to any bride. She is truly and artist, plus she's just a joy to be around which is really what you want on your wedding day. You won't regret hiring her! -

On the day of my wedding Brittany told me she had a vision for my hair after seeing my wedding dress. She asked if we could do something different than my wedding trial. My biggest fear on my wedding day was that I was not going to beautiful enough to feel happy. Brittany took away that fear completely and I had never felt more beautiful in my life. Brittany was a dream to work with! We initially did a trial hair/makeup last December 2022 and she took her time, listened to what I was looking for, and perfected it! I was traveling from out of state (Florida) and only was up in NJ for a week and she was able to find some time to do the trial (during the holidays even) and even come to my in-laws house! She was also extremely accommodating with some last minute wedding changes, which I was super appreciative of. Then comes the wedding September 2023 and she did a fantastic job on myself and all of my bridesmaids and my mother in law. I even cried when I first saw myself in the mirror, it was that amazing! As a person who never wears makeup, she was able to transform my dream into a reality! And when everything was done/over and I was back in the hotel room around 11/12 that night, the makeup still looked EXACTLY the same as if it was just put on- it stayed on through the happy tears throughout the day and the dancing and everything. Just AMAZING! I got tons of compliments from everyone- I highly recommend her and her team!!
Both times- for the trial and day-of, she was early/on-time (which I'm an early person so I loved it), she had everything set up/ready to go before the start time, she was super efficient with my entire bridal party and myself, and she was able to finish before the photographer arrived in our suite (which our photographer was super happy about and even said it rarely happens when the makeup/hair team is actually on time)! LOVED the promptness. She also was always very quick to respond with any questions throughout the booking process and the days/weeks leading up to the wedding itself!
Overall, an excellent vendor! I'm SO glad I booked her for both the trial and day-of. She went above and beyond! Thank you SO much Brittany and team! -

Where do I even begin?! Brittany and her team were an absolute dream to work with. I was initially stressed about finding a hair and makeup artist that really brought my vision to life, but once I saw Brittany's stunning portfolio and got to know her, I was instantly put at ease. Brittany is responsive, collaborative, warm, and incredibly friendly. I had a blast getting to know her at my trial, where she absolutely nailed my smoky eye look. Brittany not only fashioned my (heavy!) hair piece in a way that was comfortable, but suggested adding a waterfall braid that really completed the look. I left my trial feeling gorgeous + confident in my decision -- and incredibly giddy to work with Brittany on wedding day.
In the weeks ahead of the wedding, Brittany proactively reached out for "inspo" pictures for all of the folx getting their hair + makeup done. This removed a lot of stressful decision making for the bridal party, mothers, and officiant come wedding day and added to the excitement.
Brittany, Briana, and Elizabeth arrived early on Wedding Day. They were organized, efficient, and completely dazzled my mom, mother-in-law, and bridal party. Throughout our session, my bridesmaids pulled me aside to say how impressed they were with Brittany's team. One even said, "Man, I wish you guys were going to be at the wedding reception!" It's safe to say that left an impression!
I was so happy with how my hair and makeup came out. It stayed perfect all day and helped make me feel beautiful on the big day. Can't recommend Desired Beauty by Brittany enough! -

Brittany was responsive, talented, and professional from Day 1. She always got back to me quickly which is a huge stress reliever when you're planning a wedding and have a million vendors and moving parts to organize. We did a hair trial and she was honest with me and said that what I was looking for was going to be difficult with my hair length (I did not want extensions), so we picked a different hairstyle and she brought it to life on my wedding day. She arrived early (another huge stress reliever on a big day with a million moving parts!). She did my bridal hair and my bridesmaids' makeup and everyone looked and felt beautiful. Her prices are very competitive and would absolutely recommend her to any bride! -

Brittany and her staff were amazing! From my trial to the wedding day, everything went off without a hitch. Brittany was very responsive to my questions throughout the process. Best choice I made while planning was hiring this crew
This team is seriously the best. The owner Brittany took all of my edits from the trial and I l was BEYOND thrilled with the results. She was professional, responsive, and just so so kind throughout the whole process. And honestly, she was just so relaxed that it helped me stay calm too (especially the day of). Her team member, Essence, came to help with my girls and she was just as attentive and wonderful. We all felt beautiful and confident with their help and our hair/makeup lasted ALL day/night (and it was HUMID out). Super bonus points: she traveled to me for the day of AND the trial. -

Magical morning
My original hair and makeup person ghosted me about 2 months before my wedding. Thankfully Brittany was available and willing to step in. She did amazing at my trial appointment. I was in love with how I looked when she was done. Brittany and Essence (the other person she brought with her) were willing to travel to the venue. They completed 6 women and my flower girl in 4 and a half hours. Everyone looked gorgeous and we’re very satisfied by their service. We were done in time for pictures and many people complimented us on the hair and makeup. It was easy to pay them because they accepted cash, Venmo, and Zelle. Brittany and Essence were wonderful. They were on time and very personable. It made the morning more enjoyable because I knew everything was going to get done beautifully. I highly recommend Brittany!! -

She has an artistry eye for perfection and most definitely delivered for my engagement party! Brittany and her team gave me a gorgeous eye look with beautiful champagne colours and natural tones. To compliment the look she threw in complimentary lashes and brought some bubbly so I can sit back and relax during my service. Amazing!
Brittany and her team are spot on! Brittany and Essence showed up early the morning of to prep and ensure they had enough time to get all six people done. The makeup felt light and dewy, while still looking naturally glam. The hair stayed in all night and looked phenomenal. Their professionalism, poise, and talent speaks for itself! -
