Wedding Reception Centerpieces
I just have to tell you, EVERYONE raved about the centerpieces; the country club staff, our wedding guests, guests from an event held Friday night at the club!! They are still beautiful this morning. We didn’t think florals and decor would be important to us in planning our wedding, and Yael totally blew us away. Having listened to our preferences and our hesitation in doing anything that would feel not us or like it was too much, she designed what would turn out to be the perfect elements, executed flawlessly. She was insanely patient in mocking up several versions of options, and educated us in way that allowed us to make productive decisions. We trusted her entirely and she delivered, never forcing us to do something that didn’t feel right. She handled our chuppah, all florals, and unique decor elements that were true to our wedding theme. On the day of our wedding, seeing Yael and her team putting together our chuppah in cold temperatures and early hours, she had the warmest smile in greeting us, which set such a positive tone for the day. She had a professional and friendly attitude throughout the whole process. We are sooooo happy we worked with her. 🌻 -

Working with Designs that Matter for our wedding was a wonderful experience! Yael was so fun to work with! She listened to us and captured our vision for a sustainable wedding perfectly. Yael reused materials and reduced waste, while still creating professional and elegant florals and decor. She took my Pinterest board and created beautiful table settings, a guest list board, florals, and a chuppah that made me cry because it was so perfect. I’m not a DIY bride, and Yael took my ideas and made them a reality. She came and set up early and stayed late to tear it down. My bridal bouquet was so gorgeous. Yael worked well with our vendors and went above and beyond to make our wedding special. My mom and I really enjoyed meeting with her in her studio. She asked thoughtful questions and wanted to make sure she created decor that fit our vibe. She nailed it! If you have an event coming up (bat mitzvah, wedding, baby showers, etc), hire Designs that Matter! You will not regret it! -

Incredible wedding florals
From our first conversation, Yael at Designs that Matter was so easy to talk to and immediately understood the vision I had for our wedding flowers. Her work was absolutely gorgeous, incredible, and awe-inspiring. She brought our dream wedding to life, creating a bridal bouquet that was so stunning I cried when I first saw it! The florals for the ceremony and reception space were elegant and transformed the venue into the most beautiful event I have ever attended (I may be biased, haha). Designs that Matter truly made our special day perfect with their incredible attention to detail and special touches. I cannot recommend them highly enough! -

Vision executed beyond my wildest imagination
Designs that Matter was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding flowers. Their communication style was excellent - they were always responsive, flexible, and went above and beyond to accommodate what we wanted. The quality of their work was truly stunning and captured our vision perfectly. I was excited to see our flowers, but nothing could have prepared me for how absolutely beautiful they were. We received dozens of compliments on the vibrant colors and perfect execution of our floral vision. We worked with Yael from Designs that Matter on florals, our wedding canopy, table centerpieces, and a photo booth backdrop. She was incredible at accommodating a number of custom parts that our friends and family helped make and figuring out how to work them into designs that she put together. The end result was a great wedding canopy structure with flowers highlighting but not overshadowing the beautiful fabric canopy that was quilted by the groom's mom. Yael helped brainstorm through a few different styles of table centerpieces that would work nicely alongside the bases and custom electronics built by the groom and others. Yael and her team put together an incredible display of flowers and were then able to expertly arrange them at the venue in a number of beautiful settings. -

We had a great experience with Designs that Matter for our wedding. Everyone loved our centerpieces, and our unique/custom flower design for our ceremony. Yael is a talented designer and brought my vision to life. Her set up and take down services took the stress out of the day and everything was perfect. You get what you pay for and this was worth it! I also used her graphic design services for our invitations, escort cards, table numbers, etc... I loved that everything matched and the designs were elegant and classic. Really, it was a one stop shop for us and that made the whole experience easy. Highly recommend. -

Yael / Designs That Matter took care of us for our wedding this past summer. Trust us when we say that you will not regret hiring Yael as your florist / designer. We would recommend Yael to anyone and everyone we care about. Yael is incredibly creative and so professional. My favorite part about working with Yael was her ability to make suggestions based on my "rough idea" of what I was looking for and help make my vision come to life. Yael was so reliable and consistent! Throughout the planning process, Yael was incredible to work with and we knew she was taking care of all of our requests etc. I cannot put into words how beautiful the wedding looked on the day of. Yael’s design experience and expertise were invaluable in important part of our wedding’s success. We came to the table with some clear design ideas, so we didn’t need as much a day coordinator as much as someone who could implement the our vision using their own creative flourish to ensure it looked right.
From the amazing wedding canopy (Chuppah) in our ceremony to the perfect setup of our book-focused centerpieces, Yael and the Designs That Matter team did an impeccable job, paying attention to big-picture vision as well as the smallest details. Yael even went above and beyond to ensure the venue staff had implemented the details correctly.

Flexible and beautiful work!
Yael with Designs that Matter was spectacular to work with as the florist and decorator for our wedding. We had so many changes (including venue change) with Covid and she was completely flexible through all of it. The pricing is great for how amazing of a job she did! Everyone, including myself, was blown away by how beautiful everything was. She even dropped my handmade hairpiece (stunning!) off at the salon last minute so that my stylist could put it in. Yael made my vision for flowers and decor come to life and was a pleasure to work with! -

Yael did an amazing job with all of our wedding decor! She worked hard to make the decor and details of our day exactly as I envisioned, from the beautiful greenery and lights in the tent to the seating chart, programs, table numbers, and menus. Absolutely stunning
My bouquet was everything I could have dreamed and our archway was packed with gorgeous flowers that stayed beautiful all night and then some. Yael was an absolute pleasure to work with and truly helped save our wedding from falling apart during the pandemic. Yael was amazing she really listened to what I envisioned for my wedding decor and worked with me and my budget to make a truly magical scene happen. Many design places I talked to had generic backdrops that they used and reused for multiple weddings but she really worked with me to make something that was custom in line with what I wanted -

Designs That Matter was a great resource for my husband and I while we were engaged and planning our wedding. Yael was an absolute joy to work with. Uniting a “house divided”
My new husband and I are fans of rival universities and our wedding reception was in a football stadium. We wanted a bit of a sports theme without going overboard. Yael listened and offered great suggestions for how to tie it all together in a way that was perfectly quirky and fun without being tacky. She designed a replica football field, built it, and placed our team jersey-shaped escort cards on it! Additionally she made all of our menus, wedding signage, and ceremony programs. She also had frames and table number stands for us to rent for a small fee. She had great attention to detail - from spelling, to font choice, to color selection, and design - everything was great! Better than we could have imagined and our guests LOVED the escort cards...many people actually took them home as a souvenir! We are so happy we worked with Yael and Designs that Matter. If you’re looking for a professional, prompt, and creative person to do your wedding signage - look no further! -

I was trying to figure out a way to make a wedding rehearsal dinner that I was having in a rather dark and gloomy room look more bright and festive tho on a limited budget. The ideas I had turned out to be too expensive. But then Yael at Designs that Matter provided the idea of using balloon clusters at each of the tables. Tho originally I thought it might look too juvenile, Yael provided some pictures that convinced me otherwise. So that's what I used and it was perfect and actually looked rather sophisticated. Yael provided the materials and arranged it all in a limited time window so that it looked great when I arrived with other guests. Lovely design idea and execution all done professionally at a reasonable price!
