We got married in the FL Keys in October. Darenda was AMAZING. The flowers were the thing I was most excited for and she exceeded all of my expectations. Every arrangement was perfect and so beautiful. She made me a beautiful flower arch that I wish I could have kept forever. I would recommend her services 10/10!!

I had no clue what to do for my flowers. I showed Darenda my bridesmaid dress color and she gave me a few options to choose from. The flowers enhanced the beautiful backdrop of the beach wedding at Dream Bay Resort. I was OBSESSED with them and how fabulous they were! Highly recommend them for your wedding!

Darenda made my floral dreams come to life
Dareneda truly made my flower vision come to life for our wedding. I didn't have a set type of flower that I wanted, but with our wedding being in Key Largo I wanted to bring out the simplicity and nature of the area. I wanted a lot of greenery to make my dress really pop mixed with a white flower and what she was able to create was everything I had imagined. I wanted my bouquet and my bridesmaids bouquet to be simple and small and to not be overpowering and they all turned out gorgeous.
Dareneda was also a delight to work with and was able to adjust with anything we needed. Highly recommend her and her business, she will make your floral dreams come true!!

Amazing, friendly and a happy experiance.
Darenda was recommended by my wedding planner and I am so glad she was. Having an out of state wedding, all of my floral planning took place over the phone and through email. I sent Darenda specific pictures of the exact florals I wanted. Not being able to see her gorgeous creations, my wedding day was the first day I saw anything. WOW!!!! Darenda showed up with my gorgeous florals with a huge smile. You can tell she’s just so happy in what she does. All of my flower pieces were even better than imagined!! I can’t describe the beauty of how perfect my floral arrangements were. STUNNING. I have received so many compliments on my florals. They add so much to my pictures as well. The colors are so vibrant and the quality of them being put together is amazing. You can tell Darenda worked hard. Since this was a destination wedding, I didn't have the opportunity to review or sample anything in advance. All Darenda had was my inspo images. The final product was an absolute Pinterest Dream. The flowers, the decor, all of it was absolutely incredible - and at a very fair price. Hire Darenda. She is AMAZING. Also - LOVED THE LITTLE PINEAPPLES !!!

Exceptional Florist!
I got married at Key Largo Lighthouse Beach Weddings as a destination wedding since we live over 1,200 miles away and therefore had to plan long distance. Darenda was wonderful to work with throughout the entire planning process. She delivered way beyond our expectations. The flowers and arrangements were more beautiful than we ever imagined. We received tons of compliments from guests on how beautiful everything was. It was very hot and the flowers held up to the heat and beyond. Would highly recommend working with Darenda!

When we booked our venue at the Marriott Key Largo, I knew I wanted Darenda to be my florist. After talking about our venue, vision, and colors with her, she gave us an idea for what our arrangements would look like for the ceremony and reception. I was hesitant to move forward because we weren't able to see a mock-up, but I had full faith in her after viewing her other weddings on websites and social media. Let me tell you she hit it out of the park and her designs exceeded all of my expectations! The floral for our wedding was stunning and even the other vendors and our venue commented on how stunning of a job she had done. I would book her again without a doubt and cannot recommend her more!

Since we had a destination wedding, we weren't planning on having floral arrangements (my mother made bouquets for the girls and myself) We got in touch with Darenda for some last minute palm leaves as table decor and corsages for our parents, she responded quickly and was very affordable! I wish I could of time capsuled my bouquet- I loved it so much!! Darenda was wonderful to work with during our wedding planning. I had some different ideas for my bouquet and the guys flowers and Darenda and her team DELIVERED!!! I actually ended up planting my succulents so I will have forever and dried out my flowers also. She incorporated my grandmom's glove and my moms handkerchief to the base of my flowers. (my mom cried!!) I did not want to take it a part. She was super sweet to work with and very responsive. Flawless execution!!
From the first time I spoke with Darenda, I knew she understood my vision. You never know until the day comes, however, what to expect. Well, have no fear....Darenda NAILED it. I had a picture in my mind, and somehow she pulled it directly from my brain and said it with flowers. Everything was perfection!!
She is also a super kind person. When I asked if she could incorporate buttons from the gloves my grandmother wore on her wedding day, she couldn't be more excited. I was simply blown away by what she did for my special day.

Absolutely stunning floral arrangements!
Darenda is amazing! Flowers were something I was picky about, and I had been critical of other arrangements I had seen at other weddings. Darenda's designs were unique, high quality, and each a true masterpiece. She really helped in meetings, walking us through each arrangement and helping my vision come to life. She also delivers everything and sets it up the day of, so you don't have to worry about anything. Many guests told us they were the best floral arrangements they had ever seen, and I agree!

I cannot recommend Designs by Darenda enough. Seriously. The florals for our wedding were 100% my favorite part of it. It brought everything together. Doing a destination wedding in Key Largo from Texas was difficult because I had to find all the vendors basically online and when it comes to florals-I know NOTHING. When I found Designs by Darenda, she responded to me quickly and we even had a few phone calls where she answered all of my questions and helped to pick the florals when it came to the style I was wanting-a tropical boho feel. They day of the wedding, Darenda showed up with the florals and I was instantly taken aback by how GORGEOUS everything was. And I mean it. Everything was perfection and I even made my parents drive home with my bride's bouquet and a bridesmaid bouquet because I loved them so much!

I had reached out to a few other places since this was a destination wedding in Key Largo and I was worried about the travel time Homestead to Key Largo and the few I had reach out to were the BIGGEST WASTE OF TIME. Darenda explained everything to me since I wasn’t able to come in for a “formal” consultation. The delivery guy was so super nice and really funny and I couldn’t of asked for better flowers or service.

Having been in the wedding floral business for many years, I have to give a 5 star review to Darenda for doing a fabulous job for my son and daughter-in-law's wedding April 6th at the Cooper Estate. My daughter in law had a very specific idea of what she wanted her centerpieces to look like along with the colors and flowers of her bouquet. Being from out of town, we met with Darenda once before she went on maternity leave and she got everything exactly as the bride had described. The books and props were supplied by us, but she got to the venue early and set the tables and I just can't compliment her enough on how beautiful everything looked. Thank you Darenda, for making this day so very special to us and the bride and groom. Everyone had said it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to and a lot of that is due to the wonderful job you did. I would highly recommend your services.

I sent her pictures of what I wanted things to look like and gave her a budget and she delivered perfectly! In fact, she more than exceeded my expectations. Darenda is a true professional and such an artist with flowers. I coordinated the flowers with her from Minnesota while my daughter was living in Bangkok. Darenda had a couple of photos that I sent her that my daughter liked along with my description of a couple of other things she said she liked. She happily answered any question we asked her. Darenda took that information and transformed it into a beautiful vision for their wedding day. All the guests commented on how beautiful the flowers were. My daughter was blown away by how lovely everything was; from the flowers & greenery for the beach ceremony, to the wedding party's flowers and also the reception flowers. She transformed the wedding reception into a lovely event. Hands down her arrangements were some of the prettiest that we have ever seen!

HANDS DOWN, THE BEST FLORIST EVER! I was born and raised in Homestead and I have been following and admiring Darenda's work for years. I always told my mom that if and when I got married, I insist that Darenda be my florist. When my husband and I got engaged last year, my mom and I didn't even think about hiring anyone else and we made an appointment to meet with Darenda. She is sweet, professional, creative and so easy to work with. I simply showed her a couple pictures of what I had envisioned my wedding flowers to look like and Darenda brought it to life. I had such an amazing experience with Darenda that I can't even begin to express my gratitude towards her. First her prices are very resonable. And her work is just beautiful! I will be posting pictures on my page if anyone would like to see. I only ordered flowers for my ceremony and my bridesmaids and my bouquet but only because the venue included every other flower arrangements. I had given Darenda an earlier time and when she arrived she advised that since the ceremony was starting later it wasn't wise to set up. She ended up leaving on her own and coming back to set up without any complaints she enjoys what she does and would rather you have beautiful flowers then anything else. she is very professional and I couldn't be happier!

I found Darenda through the Cooper Estate. Having already been impressed with the venue, I knew that choosing from its recommended list of vendors was a wise decision. And boy am I glad I did. Darenda is an absolute peach, and so easy to work with. She is a talented and creative florist with an impeccable eye for design. I described to her, to the best of my limited ability, what I wanted and she made it come alive. From the overall finished product, to the tiny details, everything could be summed up in one word: perfect. It looked like a scene from a fairy tale, or at the very least, a scene from a “Pinterest Wedding.” Darenda is the epitome of professionalism. She knows her craft, and executes it flawlessly. She even saved my wedding cake after a skirmish between the baker and I. “Don’t worry. We will make it work. You will have a beautiful wedding cake.” And that I did. It was glorious after Darenda got her hands on it.
I met her for the first time upon arrival at the venue. She is such a warm and kind-hearted person. “Sparkling” is a good way to describe her! She stayed to ensure that everything was perfect-down to my bridesman’s boutonniere. Darenda did my flowers for my bridal party and myself and the boutonnieres. They turned out amazing! I was planning a destination wedding so all of our communication was by email and phone calls. I sent her pictures of flowers and colors I liked by email and my flowers came out even better than I had imagined! My bouquet was gorgeous, full and perfect for my beach wedding. The boutonnieres were single flowers with starfish and were so perfect for our wedding. I highly recommend Darenda to anyone looking for a florist for their big day!

Being that my wedding was in Florida and I was based out of New York, most planning with Darenda was over the phone. She was always available, prompt, helpful and understood my vision. I shopped around prior to making a decision on our florist and she provided the best pricing around. Darenda assisted with all florals and my Chuppah for the ceremony and everything exceeded our expectations!! The Florist for my wedding was amazing. Not only did they provide us with beautiful flowers, but they helped me to coordinate my tables and colors to make everything beautiful. I loved my orchid bouquet and the starfish boutonniere for the men came out fabulous. Everything was fresh and the blue accent color just made it special. Where do I begin with this wonderful woman... From the day we met we knew she was going to create magic.
It started for her charismatic character, where she understood the importance of our wedding and was just as excited about it as we were. She was very responsive, always answered our questions and concerns. She gave us suggestions and really understood what we were asking, never deviating from our original idea.
My wedding was Saturday and I am still in awe with her work. Our wedding was at an indoor/outdoor venue and from the outdoor arrangements to the tree chandelier she created for us that was displayed inside to all the arrangements that were placed in each of our tables; each of them adding to the splendor.
She and her staff arrived at the location even before I got there. the minute I arrived, She came to where I was getting ready to show me the parties' boutonnieres and My oh so AMAZING BOUQUET. She provided exemplary service. We received tons of compliments from our guests as to how beautiful the flower arrangements were. The Guests loved the arrangements so much that by the time I went back to take one home for myself they were completely gone. They all had been claimed by guests before I could grab one.
Her crew was parked outside to clean up even before our last guests were gone, this will definitely not be the last time we use her services for any events. Thank you so much Darenda for the amazing work you created. Our wedding was amazing and your work definitely had a lot to do with it.

Darenda is a true master of her art and truly loves what she does; it is apparent through her work and customer service. As an educator, it was tough for me to plan my wedding without a planner, so I started early and did all the “hard” work during the summers. Thats when I meet Darenda, in the Summer of 2013. I had interviewed several florist (and through my profession I had ordered many flowers through wholesalers) and upon walking into her shop I knew she was the one I had to work with. Darenda made the process easy from the beginning and always listened to all my stressful situations about the wedding; even when it had nothing to do with the flowers! The easiest part of my wedding was booking Darenda! I told her my vision and budget; we emailed back and forth (she replies right away!), called a few times and made my vision a dream come true. May I add that all I showed her was a picture of what I wanted my bouquet to look like—she made it look even better!!! As of yesterday (9/9/14), it has been a month since I said “I do” to my husband and my bridesmaids flowers are still alive!!!! My bouquet is still talked about-it was a beautiful bouquet filled with blue roses, white and blue hydrangeas and few others. I loved every aspect of my flowers at our wedding, it was done to perfection and it was beyond a pleasure to have worked with her. I always told my friends and family that I wished all vendors were as sweet, professional, detail-orientated, passionate, and understanding as Darenda. Her work of art made my day beautiful- words can never express our gratitude. From now on, Darenda is our preferred vendor for any occasion, we know that she will execute our dream no matter how small or big. Words can not express how thrilled, thankful, and blessed we felt after every correspondence we had with her, because we knew she had it all under control. I planned my wedding in Key Largo Florida from Nashville TN so I had no idea what to expect from vendors. The resort that held my wedding had Darenda on their preferred vendors list. Working with Darenda was such a pleasure, she has so much experience and flower knowledge! I had a very specific vision for my flowers as far as colors and vintage style, as well as bouquet charms and vintage keys that I wanted in boutonnière's that I sent to her a month prior. She was happy to accommodate these requests for me and made the process so simple! I would recommend Darenda and her crew 100%! We have used Darenda now for both our daughters wedding. Once in 2005 and now in 2014. Darenda is by far the most creative florist I have ever seen. Her arrangements are simply breathtaking. I cannot say enough great things about Darenda. I had called a few florists near my wedding venue and was totally appalled by the quality of service which included the slow responses, people not willing to work with my budget, and flat out telling me I couldn't get a vision I'd hope for without spending xxx amount more than I planned. They didn't suggest ways to give me the look or feel I'd hoped for by offering cheaper options, they just shut me down.
When I called Darenda, I told her my budget, I told her what I had hoped for, and because of her extensive knowledge of florals, and what she knows she can create, she was able to get me what I wanted and all within my budget. She was one of the kindest people I spoke to in the entire time I was planning, and I have since recommended her to every single person I have come across looking for a florist.

Darenda was easy to contact, and eased me into the process of choosing flowers for my wedding. I came into it not knowing at all what I wanted, but by the end of the first meeting, I had not only learned everything that I needed for the wedding (without feeling overwhelmed but rather excited!), but also had made almost all the preliminary decisions necessary to put me at ease.
Throughout the wedding-planning process, even with many changes (including a date change), Darenda bent over backwards, accommodating everything and giving helpful insight to help us pull everything together with our other vendors. We changed so many things, but she was on top of everything and thought of all the details so I didn't have to. She is also a really sweet person to work with, and helped me achieve a completely low-stress wedding day!
While she was planning for my wedding, I saw one of her floral designs for my neighbor's baby shower. They just gave her a napkin and told her the theme was safari, and she absolutely nailed it not only with color palette, but theme and exact size dimensions for the table. I was absolutely impressed. It was perfect.
I will use her for every floral need I could ever have. She's easy to work with, knows flowers and design inside and out, and is reasonable. Amazing. If you book her for your event, put your mind at ease and be prepared for beautiful perfection!

I recently had Darenda do the flowers for my daughter's bridal shower that was held in the beautiful Cheeca Lodge Resort in Islamorada, Florida. The venue is extremely beautiful and needed someone with incredible talent to design arrangements that would not be lost or diminished in such an environment. I had to communicate long distance from Colorado with e mails and phone conversations and submitting photos of ideas I had. She immediately knew the vision I had for the flowers and assured me it would be taken care of. When we arrived at the venue and walked into the room it was absolutely everything I could have imagined it to be!! Darenda was the most consistent vendor that we worked with during our wedding planning. She was very helpful and open to all of our ideas to make our day one to remember. I absolutely loved how our flowers came out, made everything else pop!! I will tell everyone of our experience with Darenda!!

I recently had a destination wedding in Key Largo, Florida. Planning from Philadelphia was very difficult, as we were only able to take 1 trip down there prior to the big day to meet with our vendors in person. One of the biggest challenges that I faced for many months was finding a florist. I must have submitted about 10 requests to different vendors in the Keys, some didn’t end up replying, many exceeded my budget, and to others I was just another wedding and there was a lack of the personal touch. Finally I was introduced to Designs by Darenda in Homestead, FL. I knew from the beginning that flowers were incredibly important to me – the colors had to be bright, there needed to be variety, and it had to come off as “fun but elegant”. When I first spoke to Darenda, she took an hour and a half with me to understand what I had envisioned, what the bridal party comprised of, and my budget. And that was only the first time we chatted! She was always open to brainstorming new ideas or changing things around if needed. I am no flower expert, I just simply love them, so I heavily relied on her to give me suggestions that fit the vibe of our wedding and our own personalities. She picked vibrant colors of hot pinks and corals consisting of garden roses, roses, hydrangeas, gerberas, and more. They turned out so beautiful and completely exceeded my expectations - which were high to begin with. I was beyond happy with Darenda’s work. She is an extremely kind person, incredible to work with, and has an outstanding gift as a florist. I would recommend her to anyone that is having a wedding or any event where flowers will be important to you.

Darenda did an AMAZING job with the flowers and design of my wedding. The chic elegance of her floral arrangements far exceeded my expectations! She captured exactly what I wanted and more. For days after the wedding I received numerous comments from my guests about how beautiful the flowers were and how blown away everyone was when they walked into the reception. I would recommend Darenda in a heartbeat! She is such a pleasure to work with and has a beyond fabulous work product.

I recently had a destination wedding in Islamorada, FL and was planning everything from Los Angeles. After multiple awful phone calls & emails from a different florist, we parted ways and I looked for a new florist.. and voila ~ Designs by Darenda!! From the very first conversation, I knew that I was SOOO lucky to have found her!!! She is the utmost professional, from timely responsiveness both via phone and email, to her dedication and care in making sure I did not have to worry about a thing! After the first conversation, and briefly describing the atmosphere and event design we were looking to achieve, she sent me an email with pictures of the flowers she was thinking would reflect what I had described. EVERY single picture was exactly what I wanted!!
Darenda did not waste my time, she was concise with the information she needed from me and really 'gets' what her customers are looking for. She was so very sweet, showed up on time, made everything look stunning - to which I didn't have to worry about a thing (and I am very detail oriented and a bit anal retentive). My bouquet smelled and looked amazing!!! Literally every arrangement was perfect & looked like it had come straight from a wedding magazine - but on a slim budget she had to work with!!! The ONLY thing I would have changed is having to leave the next day four our honeymoon and not being able to take all the flowers with me out of the country!!!
Every one of our guests commented on how beautiful the flowers looked, and I couldn't help but beam throughout the day loving all of my flowers and appreciating Darenda's hard work, and meticulous attention to detail!!!! If you are looking for a florist for ANY EVENT you should pick Designs by Darenda! I couldn't be happier with everything and all of her hard work. She made my wedding day absolutely perfect!!

Darenda is AMAZING!
She was our florist for our wedding on 5/9/13 in Islamorada, FL, and I couldn't be more grateful for her talents, attention to detail, enthusiasm, professionalism, courteousness, excellent communication, creativity, and overall result of our floral arrangements on our wedding day!
I chose Darenda after interviewing several florists. I was on a very tight budget, but wanted that "wow" factor that every bride hopes for.
Not only did Darenda deliver on the most beautiful and impressive floral arrangements that exceeded my expectations tenfold, she actually seemed excited by the challenge of working to give us the most bang for our buck (when do you find a wedding vendor that actually likes working within a tight budget?).
Working remotely via email and phone calls from California, I gave Darenda broad direction with a few photos, a color palette, and a small list of preferred flowers. I told Darenda to let her creativity and talent do the rest. It was the best decision I could have made! From my bridal bouquet, Maid of Honor bouquet, boutonnieres, table arrangements and corsages, the flowers were stunning! And, despite the Florida heat, the flowers remained perfect, even days later! Darenda even added extra touches that I hadn't asked for. She brought my bouquet to the hotel where I was getting ready, and expertly set up the florals and cake flowers at the event site right on time.
Darenda helped make our wedding day spectacularly special, and I am so grateful to have found her.

I told designs by Designs By Darenda what i wanted by phone she went and found pictures of exactly what i explaned. She emailed me quotes within a hour of when we talked. Also when my cake got messed up and i was upset she steped in and used extra flowers to make it look like nothing ever happened. i recommend you use her she will make your big day all the more amazing.

The bouquets were exactly what I wanted and the flowers looked fresh and lasted. She also made a grand center piece arrangement that was spectacular! Darenda was recommended to me by a good friend of mine, and I'm sure glad I took my friends recommendation. First let me start off by saying the flowers and arrangements provided by Darenda were BEAUTIFUL, and EXACTLY what we wanted for our "Gerbera Daisy" Wedding. The flowers were BIG and BRIGHT... and a week later... the flowers from my wedding we took home are still alive in my house. Darenda gave us what we wanted, and worked within our budget! DON'T let her location in Homestead stop you either, as my wedding was on South Beach, and Darenda had NO PROBLEMS arriving on time and having everything set up well before the wedding was to begin. She was punctual and professional. I highly recommend Darenda for any of your flower needs!

I can't say enough great things about Darenda!! I knew nothing about flowers and was happy to have someone guide me through the process of picking out a bouquet for my wedding! Darenda listened to what I had planned, and was able to create a wonderful bouquet - I had many compliments on it! She was even able to change some of the flowers after I went to her three days before the wedding since the color of my wedding dress was slightly different than I expected.

Darenda is a true artist. She constructed the most beautiful array of vintage inspired flowers for my beach wedding. I wanted to make my own vintage vases for the wedding, and she allowed me to make and ship them to her before the wedding. She is the friendliest person you will ever meet and is very knowledgeable. I loved my flowers so much that I just couldn't part with them, so I emailed her at 3am the morning before I left for my honeymoon, and within 2 hours I had an email back from her recommending a woman in Miami that could preserve my bouquet for me. I could go on and on...we love you Darenda! Thank you!!!

Darenda was amazing! I felt like in the end we gained a friend. The flowers were gorgeous and exactly what I dreamed they would be. Our friend who caught the bouquets had them intact after a week and the arrangements I brought home lasted a little longer. I am so glad I had Darendas help and advice. For all the Brides that are about to get married. I know we worry about everything untill the day is here. But for the flowers leave it in the hands of Darenda. At the beginning of all my wedding planning the first vendor my husband and i started looking for was a florist. We finally found Darenda through a friends recommendation and we found our official florist! My husband and I were clueless at the time and were trying to stay within a budget, Darenda was able to accommodate all of our needs and we even had a last few changes weeks before the wedding and she was able to adjust whatever she had to. The day of the wedding i couldn't have been happier with all of the flowers! She even went out of her way and put some extra flowers in places that just stood out and looked beyond perfect. Two weeks after our wedding some of our flowers are still alive and fresh!

Darenda was wonderful!! Her flowers were spectacular and working with her was such a joy! My daughter and I had a year to plan her wedding and Darenda was with us every step of the way, from changing colors to all other aspects of the wedding! Incredible flowers
Darenda was the top suggestion by the lighthouse, and after the wedding we can totally see why. We had a lot of requests and changes, and Darenda handled it all incredibly well. Even at a destination wedding, all of the centerpieces were taken. None of our guests live in Florida. That should say it all.

The flowers that Darenda designed and arranged for our wedding were hands down the prettiest and most artful I have ever seen. When I called her with an approximate idea of what I wanted she was great about giving me suggestions, emailing me pictures of options, and using her experience to guide me to the right choices. She was more detail oriented than I could have imagined. Going as far as having me email her a picture of my husbands tie so she could color match the ribbon that she used to wrap the stems. Everything was fantastic, we were very pleased. I loved our flowers so much that I shipped them to a company that dries them and makes them into beads for jewelry.
