I am an Indian bride and I worked with Desi Beatz Entertainment for our 3 Indian wedding events hosted in downtown DC. Along with Kabir as our lead DJ for all of our events, Desi Beatz also provided audio, uplighting, emceee and dhol services, and our photobooth.
We decided to work with Desi Beatz early on in our planning process, and from the beginning, Kabir went above and beyond to support us. In addition to his own scope, Kabir also sent us recommendations for other wedding vendors; we ended up hiring another vendor based off his glowing recommendation and that vendor was fabulous as well.
We couldn’t have asked for more from our experience working with Kabir. He patiently answered our questions about audio and lighting needs at our complex venues, attended multiple venue tours with us as we refined the event details, sent us sample music mixes for us to get a better sense of his DJ style, and cut our dance medley music tracks for us to use at our events.
Kabir and his team executed flawlessly at all of our events. They were extremely professional and consistently anticipated the needs of our guests to keep our events lively and our dance floors full. During our reception, we were surprised with a live tabla player and foam glow sticks, courtesy of Desi Beatz. After the weekend, Kabir shared footage and compiled videos that highlighting our events.
My husband and I would highly recommend Desi Beatz Entertainment for your event needs. Working with Kabir and his team felt like working with friends. -

We had the absolute pleasure of working with Desibeatz for our two-day wedding celebration, which included the sangeet, baarat, ceremony, and reception—and they exceeded every expectation.
From the very start, the DJs, MC, and dhol player brought unmatched energy and professionalism. They didn’t just play music—they created moments. Each event had its own vibe, and they nailed it every time.
What truly stood out was how seamlessly they coordinated with other vendors, especially during our reception where they integrated effortlessly with the venue's DJ and managed backend sound operations without a hitch. Their attention to detail and behind-the-scenes support made everything feel smooth and stress-free for us.
They also had this incredible ability to connect with our Desi family members, blending traditional beats with modern energy in a way that brought everyone—young and old—to the dance floor. The energy they brought was genuine, infectious, and unforgettable.

I hired DesiBeatzs Entertainment for my mom's wedding reception and Sangeet, and they completely exceeded our expectations! Within the very first conversation, Kabir's professionalism, energy, and attention to detail stood out. From day one, Kabir was incredibly responsive, organized, and easy to work with. His communication throughout the planning process was clear and consistent — he listened to our vision, offered great suggestions, and made me feel completely at ease. He had the perfect blend of Desi and Western tracks, keeping our diverse crowd on the dance floor all night long till the venue told us to go home.
Kabir read the vibe of the room flawlessly, and the transitions were seamless. From the Sangeet to the reception, every moment felt elevated thanks to their music and emceeing. The sound and lighting setup was also top-notch — super sleek and immersive. We also booked a Dhol player with them and they did a phenomenal job. I HIGHLY recommend to add the dhol player to your event, you will not be disappointed.

We had an amazing time working with DJ Kabir and his partner, Ishpreet. They did an incredible job at every single one of our wedding events in Cancun, Mexico. Kabir was super easy to work with and was always available to help out in any way he could. Our guests LOVED his music, he kept the dance floor filled with his great choice of music. Ishpreet did a phenomenal job at playing the dhol and at MC'ing to keep our events running smoothly. I would hire Kabir again in a heartbeat for any of our future events. DJ Kabir is absolutely phenomenal. We approached him based on reviews and his Instagram page. And after that it was a seamless process. He was wonderful to work with and personalized the playlist to include some of our favorites. He also attended the venue walkthroughs with us to help us plan the layout and also help us think through elements unrelated to audio. We danced for 3 straight hours and so did our guests across ages 3 to 80. Ankur, the dholi, brought in amazing energy and was a unique element to our reception. The lighting was great. The photo booth was very well done. The props were fun and there was something for everyone. We got the photos very soon after the event, and they are a great addition to the photos from our photographer. Having Kabir and Ankur made all the difference to our celebrations. It's an enthusiastic yes from us! -

One of the most humble, down-to-earth and passionate wedding DJs that we have ever met! Kabir and his team did an exceptional job at our fusion wedding (Caucasian/Indian). We wanted a DJ who could cater to a mixed crowd and hiring Kabir was the best decision we could have made. From the beginning, he was extremely helpful and made sure he dedicated all of his time to us when needed. He provided us with great vendor recommendations and truly lent support to every aspect of our day and was the reason it went so smoothly. Everything from our Sangeet Night to the Ceremony and Reception went smoothly - thanks to Kabir and his team who went above and beyond. Kabir made sure that the dance floor was packed all night and all of our guests were raving about the music selection and the MCing. The Photobooth and the 360 video booth were a great hit amongst all of our guests. The DHOL players added so much energy to the dance floor. Kabir and his team were involved early and throughout the entire wedding process, flexible and eager to incorporate any ideas we had as well as bringing their own set of ideas and flair that helped make the day perfect. Kabir and his team did an absolutely incredible job for our wedding day-- the team went above and beyond what we were expecting and hoping for. From the ceremony all through to the reception, so much care was taken to ensure a smooth and fun experience for everyone. The dhol players were absolutely phenomenal, the music was on point throughout the night and we have heard nothing but good things from all our guests! A special mention for the MC, Baneet, for really showing such care and kindness when I wasn't feeling too well-- I appreciated it so much. Ultimately, a party is made by the music and Kabir did a fantastic job of creating a memorable night for us all. Thank you so much-- we will be using them again for any future events!! -

Desi Beatz Entertainment was the absolute rockstar and the heartbeat of our reception! DJ Kabir and MC Baneet had an incredible knack for reading the crowd and playing the perfect songs to keep the dance floor alive all night long. Their personalized touches and amped energy, made the celebration uniquely ours. Kabir was so communicative throughout the entire process and genuinely wanted our big day to be special! Kabir DJed my wedding reception, he was amazing to work with. We had a mixed crowd and I am not great with music selection; Kabir helped me adjust to the vibe and went with the flow when we had last minute changes come up. Wonderful DJ Experience for our wedding
Desi Beatz was amazing for our wedding day! He made our Indian Fusion wedding a success and guests dancing all night! The planning ahead of time was detailed and planned ahead of time. Gave us ideas on playlists which we could amend. Surprised us with lighting and glow sticks for our reception and guests to enjoy! Was also always available for emails and calls leading up to our wedding day! Highly recommend Desi Beatz! -

We went with Kabir and his team at Desi Beatzs for our wedding reception and are thrilled that we did. Kabir kept everyone dancing all night with an incredible feel for what to play when. Having the dhol to supplement the music really took the experience to the next level. He was able to masterfully weave songs in 4 different languages to maintain an electric dance floor and kept the evening flowing smoothly with emcee duties. Kabir’s communication was top-notch - he’s extremely responsive, was able to provide great advice, and dealt with a number of logistical hurdles that arose from our venue with aplomb. Do not hesitate to roll with Desi Beatzs for your wedding - it’s a no-brainer.

It was a pleasure working with Kabir. He is super professional, replies quickly, communicates clearly, understood our requests and overall lovable person.
The music was top notch with lot of variety. I am Indian (Telugu) and my husband is Caucasian and so we wanted to have both of our worlds incorporated into the music and he delivered it flawlessly. We also requested dry ice and photo-booth from him and wow guests loved them! The guests said the dance floor was lit! -

DJ Kabir and his team were the perfect choice for us for our Sangeet, Wedding, and Reception ceremonies in June 2022. They were super flexible and worked amazingly well with the crowd. They had mobile baraath, dholi and the overall vibe of the three events was amazing. The guests loved all the song choices and the dholi as well. DJ Kabir made sure that the changes in the program structure and all the last-minute requests were also catered to. The coordination was seamless and it was really fun and helpful having them as our DJ, sounds and lighting vendor for our wedding ceremonies. -

Kabir did a phenomenal job as the DJ for our wedding and won rave reviews from our guests too!
To be honest, our qualm in selecting him is we didn’t see that many reviews at the time, but the ones we saw were good and they were spot on. From the beginning, he was so communicative and very personable unlike many of the other companies and DJs we encountered. He was devoted to being successful and worked well with the venue and coordinator, and was very accommodating with the last minute changes and requests we threw at him. He also made us feel very welcome as an interracial same sex couple doing an Indian influence wedding when many Indian vendors are not inclusive.
He was a great emcee and did a FANTASTIC job getting the dance floor going. There was never a lull and he pulled off a challenging mix of Bollywood, Hip Hop and country that appealed to the full crowd. So many guests told us he was one of the best DJs at a wedding they’ve ever seen.
The one issue is he didn’t really play many of our requested songs at the reception, but we actually thought he made the right call in reading the room instead. And it was our fault for putting way too much on the must plays anyhow. -

I immediately knew I wanted to book him. he is extremely responsive and patient and will craft the perfect playlist and flow of events for your special day. He kept the dance floor busy and everyone enjoyed his work. He truly made our night unforgettable and I cannot emphasize how polite, nice and accommodating he was. We hired Desibeatzs entertainment for our wedding this year based on recommendations from our friends. I can say that from the very beginning they seemed to be very welcoming and interested in learning more about us and the wedding. Early in the the planning process they provided us with recommendations and planning templates that were extremely helpful. They coordinated with the venue and took care of everything for us. As we started moving closer they provided us with music playlist that works well on the dance floor which we were able to customize.
But the best part? The actual wedding reception - DJ Kabir was on top of it--all of our guests, young and old, said they had never danced so much at a wedding. He knew how to keep the energy high and dropped the perfect song at the right time. If you're looking for a DJ to take your wedding reception to the next level DJ Kabir with Desibeatzs Entertainment is your guy! Would highly recommend. -

We hired Desibeatzs for our wedding and right from the very beginning of planning they were very helpful in answering all my questions and were very fast in responding to my emails. Throughout the process the communication was super smooth, we had calls multiple times and DJMatt with Desibeatzs also provided us with recommendations on some of the must haves for the wedding. On the day of the wedding as promised he definitely brought with him all his energy and did a GREAT JOB on music selection and had the perfect balance of music for the younger and older crowd. The energy throughout the night was AMAZING. Each of our guests loved everything that he played and wanted to keep going past midnight. Matt did an Amazing job at our wedding and would highly recommend him for your wedding!
