JJ is the best!
JJ was very personable and took all of our needs and wants into consideration and made sure we were comfortable with everything. His schedule fell in line perfectly with our photographer and they worked together on the final details. When it came down to the big night he was punctual and respectful to all of our guests. Everything went flawlessly and he kept the party going into the night. Highly recommend JJ!! -

JJ was very professional and had open communication through out every step of my wedding planning. I could not imagine the night to go any better, from start to finish the organization was fantastic. He has such a great personality and made the night so memorable. I highly recommend! -

JJ keeps the party going!
DJ JJ with Desert Music Entertainment was our wedding reception DJ and he absolutely met all our expectations. JJ was very organized and professional leading up to the big day - we had several phone calls and he was very accommodating with all our asks. On the big day, JJ had everything music and sound handled. Our venue neighbor ended up having a scheduled festival extend their time, so the sound was bleeding into our outdoor reception. Our coordinator was working to resolve the issue, when JJ came in and assured us it was absolutely no problem and that with his sound system we would not even hear them - he was right! Thank you JJ for keeping our dancefloor absolutely packed, handling what was almost a big issue and ensuring we had as much fun as possible at our reception! We recommend DJ for any wedding you want to get the party started and keep it going! -

Best wedding DJ!
From the moment we first got in contact with Desert Music Entertainment, the experience was smooth and seamless. JJ was incredibly responsive to all my inquiries, making me feel at ease with every detail of my daughters wedding music choices and playlists. We had very specific requests for cocktail hour, dinner music and cultural dances and JJ was very familiar with everything to make them run smoothly! The music selection was spot on, setting the perfect atmosphere for each moment. His program to select our music for each transition of the wedding reception was so easy to use and very helpful, letting us chose and customize our music and provided great ideas for songs as well. We are grateful for their attention to detail, responsiveness, and ability to keep the party going. We would highly recommend Desert Music Entertainment to any couple looking for top-notch entertainment for their special day...my daughter, our family and all of our guests at the reception had an amazing time and so much fun on the dance floor!! -

Wedding Experience
We recently had our wedding at the Humphrey’s Half Moon Inn and we had Desert Music Entrainment who was in charge of our music. JJ Michaels was incredible! He was very responsive and helpful from the beginning. He has a lot of experience; he has a whole database that you can use to obtain songs for your wedding. He even had ideas or preselected songs for wedding traditions like Father Daughter dances, bouquet toss, etc. We all had a wonderful time dancing. He was ready to narrate the wedding if needed. We had a Day of Coordinator but were lucky to have JJ Michaels to make the announcements which made everything run smoothly. So if we didn't have a DOC we feel he would have stepped in and helped. He paid a lot of attention to details including toasts and timing. We had an amazing time and were so grateful for his work and professionalism. We had so much fun dancing. -

Too notch DJ!
JJ was the cherry on top to our special day. He took our special requests very seriously & made everything flawless. Incredibly personal, funny, & very professional the entire night. He absolutely killed it. You cannot go wrong hiring JJ as your entertainer for your event! -

We had the absolute best experience with JJ being our DJ for our wedding! Our ceremony was perfect as well as leading into the dancing! We all danced all night and had the best time! Highly recommend! -

Amazing DJ/emcee!!!
JJ was an amazing DJ and Emcee for our wedding! He assisted us throughout the planning process, went above and beyond to make sure any and all questions were answered, and even shared some helpful tips we wouldn't have thought to ask! The wedding evening went so smoothly and timely, and it was in huge part to him being so organized and supportive. Plus the music was so fun and DJ'ed perfectly! Thank you JJ! -

Best DJ in the Valley!
Simply put, JJ was amazing. From the moment that we first contacted him, he was extremely responsive and professional. He clearly had a lot of experience with weddings, offering suggestions for things that we had not even thought of, but loved including in our wedding. He helped us to make our timeline, and our wedding went off perfectly, as planned. Our guests kept telling us how much they liked the music! -

Extraordinary service
I can not say enough about JJ. He nailed everything. Every detail, every request, he was on it! Took several opportunities to consult with me on the music choices, even had great recommendations when I struggled to pick certain songs. Friendly, efficient, dependable. I really appreciated how he was available the night before for a last minute change and did not seem inconvenienced in the least. Great host and all around, a class act! I wouldn’t highly recommend d and use again in the future. -

Stumpf Celebration of Life
JJ assisted with my wife's Celebration of Life, which was Feb 8 at Schnepf Farms. I cannot begin to say how valuable he was. In addition to providing all the AV equipment (which worked perfectly), including for my more talented family members to make music and sing, he put together a photo montage with music which was simply incredible. He was extremely conscientious, and very flexible. He was great to work with, and the results were quite satisfying. While one usually thinks of a DJ or MC for parties rather than sad occasions, JJ was absolutely perfect for our remembrance. I highly recommend him! -

Our wedding was two weeks ago - we contracted JJ through our venue. Jj made the party happen! It was the smoothest process communicating with him and voicing our requests/expectations. The best day ever
Aside from marrying my best friend. JJ really enhanced the wedding day experience. His long career in the industry has not changed the love for it that's still very present. Hire jj! You will not regret it
JJ was a fantastic DJ for our big day. He was quick to answer our needs and always made time for us to feel heard and understood. He came to our venue location multiple times, helped us map out not only where he should be placed, but also other venders should be based on sight and sound. Not only was JJ amazing during the planning process, but he was also very kind, fun, and entertaining.
Our wedding is still talked about 9 months later as being one of the best events attended. And we had a pretty big group of family and friends. The music, dancing, and sound quality was more than what we expected and we are forever grateful that JJ was able to join us on one of the most important days of our lives. Book with JJ!
JJ was incredible. He came highly recommended by our venue, The Arizona Grand Resort, and did not disappoint. We were always able to get a hold of JJ leading up to the wedding and we really appreciated how responsive and flexible he was. Just 2 days before the wedding my dad and I had decided to do switch up our father daughter dance that required some blending of songs and JJ did it joyfully and perfectly!!! Us and our guests danced literally all night. JJ truly listens to what songs and type of music you want played. We love so many genres, country, hip hop, classics, and JJ put them all together PERFECTLY! He also was able to get us sparklers at a very affordable price for our exit. He also helped us do a monogram light on our dance floor which looked so classy! These were all affordable add ons that you could choose to have if you wanted and I am so glad we had the options! Highly recommend JJ because he is personable, responsive, and able to host such FUN and classy events!-

Great Show and Great Music
We hired Desert Music nearly 18 months ago for a wedding in April. Unfortunately we had to postpone due to Covid but the wedding was finally pulled off on 10/10/2020 ... JJ has been absolutely great to work with from day one. He spent several hours with us to make sure he knew exactly what type of music and what type of ceremony we were looking for (even met us at the venue a couple months in advance). We did not have a coordinator and he helped us put together an itinerary for the event and gave us several other ideas to think about. Our wedding was amazing, and JJ (Desert Music) played a large role in this. I can't thank him enough!!! -

Amazing DJ with professional and timely service
JJ was our DJ at our wedding at the Wright House in September. JJ was very responsive and flexible during the planning process especially when we had to reschedule our wedding due to COVID. He made the planning process easy with the online portal where we filled out the music we wanted for the special dances and parts of our reception requiring music. I also liked that the portal gave suggestions for particular music selections. JJ did a great job of keeping us on track with our timeline during the night and was friendly with me and our guests. I would recommend using JJ and Desert Music Entertainment for your upcoming wedding or event! -

Couldn't have asked for more!
We had great communication with JJ ahead of the event. He was super reassuring that between he and our wedding coordinator, everything would go as planned...and it did! JJ even helped us with pre-ceremony and ceremony music (which I didn't know wasn't provided...total lifesaver)! The day of the ceremony, DJ Vennie arrived on time and was there to announce everything, played all the right music, and even sensed when the dancing was waning. He picked a few crowd-pleasers that got people on the dance floor that hadn't danced all night! Great company to work with, talented DJs that know their stuff, and a very successful night thanks, in part, to JJ and DJ Vennie! -

More Than We Could Have Hoped For!
We initially chose to DJ JJ from Desert Music. entertainment to DJ our wedding because of his low price. To our surprise, he blew all expectations and could very well charge much more money for the outstanding experience. Very professional. Furthermore they catered completely to our wants/needs. The music/events were arranged and chosen according to my wife’s preferences and it really made for a perfect night. I don’t normally take the time to write reviews, but for DJ JJ it is the least I could do. -

The highlight of our wedding!
JJ Michaels from Desert Music Entertainment was the DJ and emcee for our wedding. He did an incredible job! He was so professional to work with throughout the entire planning process and guided us along the way. He gave us great tips and advice and most of all took the time to understand exactly what we were looking for. Our day was perfect and I have received so many comments on how much fun everyone had. One of the most important things to me for our wedding was that everyone would be out on the dance floor dancing and celebrating and JJ made that happen! He played a great mix of music and always knew the right song to play. JJ Michaels also put together a video montage of photos of my husband and I and that was such a special moment we will never forget. We couldn’t be happier in our decision of choosing Desert Music Entertainment for our special day! -

The JJ experiance!!
JJ handled and coordinated everything for our reception. He got everyone involved and kept the dance floor full. JJ anticipated what the reception required and fulfilled that task. All Academies Military Ball
JJ is very professional and easy to work with. He was quick to answer my emails and phone calls. He even met at our venue several times before the actual event. JJ located specific music needed for our military event. Once the formal part of the evening was over, JJ was able to get everyone up and on the dance floor having a great time. I would highly recommend him. -

I knew the second I spoke with JJ on the phone that he was just what we were looking for, for our wedding. He was so genuine, personable, and responsive to all my requests. Planning a wedding many states away is not easy, but we could not have been happier with our DJ choice. He put on a great evening for us from the ceremony to the reception and did things just how my husband and I requested - not pressuring in any way! JJ has been wonderful!!! My dad had passed away a couple years ago and my husband found him online as he came highly recommended. We are in California and we were able to send over all of our photos and music to him through Dropbox. He created a beautiful video that I will have to cherish forever and I am so grateful!
Three years later I needed to have two montages created for a convention that I was planning for my son's nonprofit organization. I called him and he even remembered us! Again, he has created two beautiful and heartwarming videos of our children for the nonprofit!! He even provided us with the two montages at a discounted price since we were a nonprofit!

We are SO impressed with JJ Michaels!! From the first email I sent inquiring about DJ services, I knew Desert Music Entertainment was the right choice for our wedding! JJ was the best decision we made to have our wedding run smoothly and with the flexibility in itinerary planning. We wanted very specific music played at our wedding and JJ found every single one of our required music and our wish list. Every song played was hand picked by either of the grooms or by one of our guests. It made our day as unique as the grooms themselves. JJ was the emcee we didn't realize we needed to make our day even more special. JJ kept things moving smoothly while allowing us the little moments to ourselves. JJ's professionalism was outstanding and his knowledge of his craft was without measure. Desert Music Entertainment was suggested to me by my wedding venue. JJ was great to work with! My wedding was planned last minute, due to our original venue cancelling and I am so glad it happened. Our wedding was perfectly amazing! Even though we were all kind of rushed to get everything put together, JJ was organized, helped take the pressure off me in getting things done and since he worked at the venue many times before we were able to talk over the phone and get things settled in minutes. The day of he did a wonderful job in moving our wedding along according to our schedule, he was very animated and fun when it came to our games and the other personal touches we threw into our wedding. JJ Michaels was the DJ that helped us with our wedding and he was absolutely amazing. He was a big part of why our wedding night flowed together so perfectly.
When we first met with JJ Michaels I loved that he had price rate sheets with breakdowns for what each package contained. He was very easy to talk to and even had extremely helpful suggestions for our music and wedding. Honestly after meeting with him we felt that there was no other choice for our wedding. We called him back a few hours after our meeting and hired him.
After we hired him he met with us at the venue on several different occasions. We even changed where he was supposed to set up on one of his return visits and it was no problem for him at all. He had great communication with us and was always available via emails and/or phone calls. One of the things that stood out to me the most was how he actually touched base with us and sent us reminders. JJ Michaels didn't just leave it up to us, he understood that we were being pulled so many directions for the wedding planning so he wanted to make sure we were taken care of.
During the wedding night he really helped move some of the events along and keep people on track. He helped announce all key events like a surprise dance with my Grandmother and the mock send off that we did at the end of the reception.
We obviously had music that we hand selected to be played during our wedding but JJ Michaels did an excellent job filling in the gaps with music that was similar to our tastes that we hadn't thought of. JJ Michaels of course took requests from the people attending as well. We had people of all ages and I would say over half of the people at our wedding complimented the music selection.
All in all I would highly recommend Desert Music Entertainment for your events (Especially JJ Michaels)! -

JJ is absolutely fantastic. He was an excellent communicator, even as far as 10 months out from our wedding! He periodically reached out to us without us ever having to contact him. His website even keeps track of all of his correspondence so if you wanted to know when the last time he reached out to you was and what he said it's all tracked in there. He is really, really, really on top of things!
Our wedding was a bit complicated because it was a destination wedding at the Grand Canyon. He made the trip up without hesitation and, I should mention, at a very reasonable rate. The day of the event he was very attentive and went out of his way to make our day perfect. He was extremely flexible, kind, and a pleasure to be around.

JJ was awesome! Our reception was originally supposed to be outside, but once it got started we soon realized it was way too hot, so we wanted to move inside. JJ was able to move his entire set-up indoors in under 10 minutes and get the party re-started without a hitch. No small feat. He also stuck to the approved playlist and didn't draw unnecessary attention to himself like a lot of DJs tend to do. He just played to the crowd and made sure everybody had a great time. He just gets it. Really couldn't ask for anything more when it comes to a wedding DJ. Highly recommend! Great value too, btw. -

I'm here to tell you about my experience with desert music entertainment. I was researching the Internet trying to find someone to help me with my video montage for my stepmother's memorial service. I called up the number I found and I was instantly impressed with how professional and helpful JJ was with offering his services to me and my family. He helped me through the entire process and was able to not only organize my pictures by date but he added titles to them, added video clips and other documents and made them all go along so smoothly. The final turn out was phenomenal. My dad even commented that it deserved an Academy award because it was so good. Almost everyone at the memorial approached me and said the video was the best video they had ever seen for a memorial service. I will never forget my experience working with JJ and how helpful kind and professional he was with this project. JJ from Desert Music was phenomenal! He really made our wedding day a hit. The reception went perfectly with JJ at the helm, and in the months of preparation leading up to the wedding day JJ was definitely the easiest of our vendors to work with; proactive, very responsive, and flexible. We gave some general ideas of the music we wanted, a few specifics, and then JJ took care of the rest; his fun personality and the trivia & entertainment JJ provided were a big hit with the guests as well. We were so happy to have him handling our reception and we will be recommending him to all our friends.

JJ was absolutely amazing! Everything was so simple and organized, and his planning system made it all a breeze! Super easy to get a hold of him for anything we needed to do! We needed to make some last minute changes after the due date for our songs, and he was so accommodating and helped us rearrange things to work what we needed into/out of the reception. JJ was our dj. He was awesome. Was on top of the whole night and made sure we were on top of our music choices. Guided us through things you forget and offered suggestions when we needed them. Great mix of songs that made the evening enjoyable for everyone of all ages. Even had my little nephew rocking. I'd recommend him for any wedding. -

Amazing!!! He was great at reading the crowd and playing something for everyone. People were dancing all night. JJ took the time to go over every minute of the night and was always available to answer questions. We had a small budget and his sevices are high quality and very affordable. We looked at other DJ's that were twice as much but were too standoffish and did not seem welcoming at all. JJ was very down to earth, professional, friendly, and knowledgeable, on all genres of music. I cannot sing his praises enough.
If you want to have a good time and not go broke in the process go with JJ and his company. We will be using him for all future events that need a DJ. -

DJ J.J. met with us prior to our wedding and allowed us to customize our party music. He did not just stay behind the DJ area, he walked around during dinner trivia and coordinated with all our vendors. He emphasized to us many times to just enjoy the party and that he would handle everything.

This videographer was responsive, professional, and a great value! I live in a smaller town and it took me 9 months to find a company that was willing to do my wedding, and not charge an arm and a leg! I was super impressed with JJ, (the videographer) and person I dealt with from start to finish, and he exceeded my expectations on how long it took to get the video and the quality of the service. He captured my casual outdoor wedding and reception just wonderfully! -

JJ is very professional, organized and on time! There can be a lot of disappointments when trusting vendors to follow thru with what they originally promised for your “Big Day”. No so with JJ. He did exactly as promised. He was emcee and DJ at my daughter’s ring ceremony and reception. He handled some sticky situations flawlessly while still expertly entertaining two very different sides of family with respect and dignity. He truly has the talent to get everyone up and on the floor and participating making it fun for all. Along with his amazing DJ work, he also added a soft blue up-lighting along the walls that added another dimension of magic to our candlelit evening. JJ has very easy going personality that draws you in with his wealth of knowledge in every decade and style of music. He was worth every penny we paid and then some. I would most definitely use JJ again...in a heartbeat!

Our wedding DJ, JJ, was fabulous! He was very patient with my zillions of play list changes and gave excellent suggestions and honest opinions which I found very helpful in narrowing down my choices. JJ was prompt to respond and had a great sense of humor. JJ provided all music services for our wedding and entertained our crowd at other times with trivia to release tables to buffet and the Newlywed Game. JJ was our DJ from this company and he was outstanding! He went above and beyond the duties of being your DJ. He met with us at Safeway beforehand to go over all of the pricing, then he met us at our venue several months before the wedding to look at the lighting options, then he met us at Starbucks to go over the lineup and song choices. We worked together through emails and texts as well. He showed up to our 5:00 Ceremony at 10:00 AM! He was there before I was! He was very thorough and paid attention to every detail. I didn't have to worry about a thing. He stayed until the crowd was gone and followed our specifications. I highly recommend this company and JJ in particular! -

We LOVED everything about our experience with JJ.we are still getting compliments from guests about how great he was!! From the first conversation with JJ we could tell just how much experience he had and how professional he was. He was very quick to answer any questions we had, even if they weren't necessarily about DJing, and he was very transparent with all his answers. He really does know his stuff! His pricing is very affordable (cheap, though, for what you actually receive!) we loved having his timelines and organization the day of the wedding too.
We utilized his photobooth service too the day of the wedding and were very impressed. It was so fun for us and our guests!
I honestly can't say anything but great things about this company and JJ. they were the perfect fit for us and our wedding. -
