Best wedding vendor ever

If you’re looking for a DJ who can truly elevate your event, look no further. We partnered with DesertHouse Productions (specifically Drea Strickler) for our magical wedding in Arizona.
To this day—two years later—she remains the vendor we rave about most. She didn’t just play music; she engineered an atmosphere. From the reception to the after-party, she curated a soundscape that felt authentically “us.” Her instinct for reading the room is unmatched, and her range across genres—especially her house selections—took the night to another level.
As someone who is borderline obsessed with music and the ambience it can create, I can say confidently that she exceeded every expectation. Her taste is impeccable, her transitions seamless, and her presence warm and professional. She made what was already the most important day of our lives even more unforgettable.
Our guests still talk about the dance floor energy and the after-party she facilitated. It was the most fun, joy-filled night, and her talent was the driving force behind it.
We will be forever grateful for the magic she brought to our wedding. If you want a DJ who is both wildly skilled and genuinely wonderful to work with, she’s the one!!!!

The Music that you want!

Dave really made the night come alive and put a bow on our perfect day. We wanted something a little less traditional - more 80s and Dance/House music than classic wedding songs - and he delivered 100%. Took the time to consult with us several times to find out exactly what we wanted, and kept us dancing and the crowd engaged and interested the whole time. Really couldn't have asked for more!

Best dance floor ever

Working with Desert House Productions for our wedding was amazing. I could not have asked for a better experience. They are extremely professional and created the perfect atmosphere for our wedding throughout the night. Dave was our DJ and kept the dance floor alive the entire night. Desert House Productions is the best of the best!

We use Desert House Productions for our wedding DJ at the Boulders Resort this October and they did not disappoint! From the very first call they made feel at ease with our choice for our DJ. Both my husband and I work in music, so we wanted someone who would understand that we wanted to be able to pick certain songs and Desert House some certainly did. When we did the pre-wedding call with Alex, he was wonderful and walked us through every step. Told us reach out if we needed anything prior and even helped keep our father daughter dance a secret until the wedding day. We couldn't recommend them enough for your event!

Absolutely amazing job by Dave!

Desert House Productions was absolutely amazing to work with for our wedding! We originally wanted a dj plus live instrumental players as well! Dave knocked it out of the park with the percussionist (Ali) and saxophonist (Rachelle) he found to go along with his amazing DJ skills. My husband and I have a big variety of musical tastes from country, rock n roll, present day bangers, etc and we could not have asked for a better selection on his part in making the night one to remember! Another worry of ours was that we just wanted everyone to be on the dance floor at all times. He was so great at reading the crowd and would sense if there needed to be any changes to make sure everyone enjoyed it. I can honestly say, no one left the dance floor! He absolutely knocked it out of the park! Thank you Desert House Productions, Dave, Ali, and Rachelle for making our wedding night absolutely incredible and a night we both will never forget!

We strongly recommend that you hire Desert House Productions for your events. In particular, Dave and Drea overcame one of our biggest fears- getting the music right for our wedding. What a difference it was compared to other DJs we interviewed. Their consults with us went much deeper than just finding out what songs we wanted to hear. They got to know us more so than any other vendor, worked to understand our vibe, our guests, and decipher our tastes in music. Dave and Drea are great listeners and communicators, it was clear that they cared, and we feel confident trusting them. Dave and Desert House Productions Are the Stuff

Hi all. My husband and I researched and interviewed several DJs in the Phoenix Metro area for our wedding in Sedona, AZ. Music is very important to us. We've been to loads of weddings where the music and DJ are trash (you've also been to them). We wanted someone who would listen to our musical tastes (ranging from pop to hip-hop to house to blue grass), our dislikes for routine wedding playlists, and our desire to entertain guests from 13 to 80. Dave at Desert House Productions fit the bill and crushed it. Period. If you think you're about to book a DJ and you haven't talked to Dave at DHP, then take a minute, send him an email, and set up a quick meeting. Check out his credentials - he's been in the music business for decades, and he takes all of his professional experience and caters them to your individual event. He also worked with our wedding planner, venue, and vendors to provide amazing lighting, the perfect space configuration, and some fun add-ons (cold sparklers are super fun). Also, all of this may sound like you're going to pay a super premium. We didn't. Dave loves what he does and will work with you and your budget. The next time we host anything requiring music (even outside of Phoenix metro), we'll be giving Dave a call.

Alex is the BEST!

Alex was absolutely incredible! He had an amazing ability to read the crowd and keep the energy alive throughout the night. What blew me away was his flexibility—without any prior discussion, he worked some EDM into the mix just for me, and it was beyond perfect!
The way he transitioned through music was flawless. Guests of all ages were on the dance floor, and the EDM moments were a total highlight for me personally. He went above and beyond to make sure our wedding was unforgettable, and I can’t recommend him highly enough. If you want a DJ who truly cares about making your night special, I would definitely recommend Alex!

Alex was absolutely amazing to work with for our wedding. I am not exaggerating when I say the dance floor was packed for the entire night. Perfect Wedding DJ

We had a great experience with Desert House Productions and Anthony as our DJ. He was able to take our music preferences and extrapolate, expand, and remix them and we had so many people on the dancefloor for the entire wedding (we ourselves never actually left it!). DHP is the best way to go!

Music was the most important part of our reception. We knew we needed to go with DHP, and they didn’t disappoint. We were able to choose from some of their best DJs, and we chose Drea. We really appreciated her diverse music knowledge, and the fact that she was originally classically trained. Honestly, they're all amazing-she’s a badass. We video chatted with Drea a few days before our event, and explained the vibe we were going for. She truly listened! She put together a perfect playlist. Everyone is still talking about our progressive house wedding party, and how they danced all night!

The best vibes, perfect night with amazing music!

From the planning process to the wedding day, our experience with Desert House was amazing!! Our DJ, Alex, was so fun to work with & truly is so talented! During the planning meeting, we were talking about the vibes we wanted at each time in the night & on the day of it was even better than we could have imagined!! During the reception, everyone was asking us who the DJ was and telling us how great he was. Wish The Party Didn't Stop

I can't speak highly enough of Desert House Productions and our DJ Anthony. From the start of the initial call, they made everything seamless and stress free. Once we got connected with our DJ, Anthony, we couldn't wait for our wedding date to finally be here because we knew we were going to have a great reception. The day of the wedding Anthony went above and beyond from setting the sentimental tone of the ceremony to getting the party going at our reception. Once the party started we could not get any of our guests off of the dance floor, so much so we extended the wedding reception an extra hour, mid wedding. I highly recommend Desert House Productions, you won't be disappointed.

Look no further!!

"Who was the DJ?" - Was the question we were asked most the day after the wedding. The dance floor was filled the entire night with tons of energy. Everyone from my 3 year old cousin to 91 year old grand father brought their best on the floor. Dave met us twice over FaceTime to get to know us, hear our story, and learn our taste in music. He was able to combine EDM, Persian music, Soca music, along with all-time classics all into a party of a lifetime. From the amazing music selection to the sound system and lighting, he truly created a magical experience from the ceremony all the way to the reception.

Had a blast with Desert House

We had the pleasure of having Desert House, specifically Anthony Hart, as our wedding DJ. He stuck with us through having to postpone our wedding from May 2020 to December 2021 and we can't thank him enough for that! Anthony is super easy to work with and very chill. Wouldn't choose another DJ for our wedding!

From the very first zoom visit I knew Desert House Productions (and specifically Dave) was the hands down choice for our wedding DJ. I felt a connection right away as we discussed our preferred music choices and the planned set up for the dance floor including lighting. Rather than give him a specific playlist, all we wanted was to provide a framework and let Dave do his thing. From there we didn't have to worry about a thing. The song selection, flow, lighting, and everything in between was spot on and all of our guests had an absolute blast. A True Artist

Wow. There are no words to convey how grateful we are that we got to work with DJ Dave Strickler for our wedding, and no words to describe how perfectly he shaped our day with his musical talent. Music was one of the most important parts of our wedding for us and before we knew about Dave, we met with a couple of other DJs during our search, and they quite frankly left a lot to be desired. I was feeling pretty hopeless, but then in walks Dave Strickler with Desert House Productions. After one conversation with Dave, we knew that we wanted to work with him, and that we would be in good hands. We just didn't know exactly how good of hands we'd be in-- Dave left us absolutely speechless. He knows music so well. He was able to get a feel for our tastes and run with it, and he nailed it. On top of managing all of the logistics so seamlessly, Dave is a true artist and created the perfect vibes for our entire day. From our ceremony into our cocktail hour, through dinner and straight into one of the best dance parties we've ever had. Dave's expertise fed into the emotions of the day, and largely to this being one of the best days we've ever had. And not only is he an incredible artist, he is also an awesome person. We left our experience not only feeling like we had found a master of the art, but also like we had found a new friend in Arizona. We can't recommend Desert House Productions highly enough.

DJ Crushed It

Was referred to Desert House Productions through our planner, Cara, from A Day to Cherish Weddings.Music was a top priority for my now husband and I, and DJ Dave crushed it. We knew we didn’t want a run-of- the-mill or “cheesy” DJ for our wedding, and are so thankful Cara helped us find Desert House Productions. We also like a very wide range of music, are a bit on the picky side, and discussed everything in detail with DJ Dave over a skype session. He was able to cut the music for me for the Father- Daughter dance perfectly, and provided guidance and song suggestions for David and I when we had no idea what to choose. On the day of, he MC’ed like the pro he is, and delivered a mix and flow that kept everyone, young and old, dancing throughout the evening. Loved and appreciated the mashups and remixes! We really appreciate the talent he has as a DJ and also how he was able to work a diverse crowd dance party. The whole package for us with this vendor. Highly recommend.

Bst dj ever!

We hired Alex and Desert House Productions for our 12/29/19 wedding and I don't even know where to begin with how special he made our day! We had about 3 sessions together before the wedding where we discussed what we wanted, what we didn't, all about my husband and I, our styles, and the timeline of the day. Everything went SEAMLESS! He played so many of our favorite songs, and we requested that none of our guests can do song requests so that he can feel out the crowd and he did an incredible job. I couldn't have been more confident in our decision to hire DHP and Alex! The music was on point and never felt dull (plus, he played spontaneous and off the wall songs that got EVERYONE dancing!!) We are so grateful for all that you did for our wedding, we can't recommend you all enough!!

Total Dance Party!!

Desert house productions was an absolute pleasure to work with from beginning to end. We had a destination wedding in Scottsdale, Arizona and we were given Desert House Productions as a preferred vendor. Who wants the stress of picking out every song for your wedding when you can have Drea take the wheel and dj the best party of your life. If you are looking for a fun dance party vibe with perfect song transitions and great timing and coordination look no further. After filling out a music survey about what we like and don’t like, and picking out a few special songs we had a facetime call with Drea and she put all our stress and worries to bed with her profesional and charming personality. We could tell right away that Drea was on top of her game and was going to be an integral part of our special day. She was especially detail oriented, flexible and made communication about what kind of party we wanted super easy. She also helped our officiant during the ceremony with the microphone when the weather picked up and got a bit windy for our outdoor ceremony. When the dancing and party kicked into gear she did a fantastic job at reading the room and the dance floor and keeping the energy high all night long. You can tell that she was a successful professional DJ with her transitions between songs and her ability to seamlessly move from high energy songs to father daughter slow songs and everything in between. We would highly recommend Desert house productions for your special event, especially Drea. Not to mention she was pregnant during our wedding and absolutely crushed it. Thanks Drea!!!

High Praise for Alex

We decided to use DHP after hearing rave reviews from so many others- they couldn't have been more correct. Alex was our wedding DJ and he was absolutely spectacular. Even my brother-in-law (a music production buff and one who is not big on compliments) sang his praises for Alex's skill. Alex incorporated every kind of music we wanted and was incredibly responsive and receptive to our ideas and overall "audible vision" for our big day. My only regret of our wedding was not spending more time on the dance floor. You cannot go wrong with DHP, they are the best in the business!

The Best in AZ!

We could not have asked for a better team than Dave and DH productions. Not only was the music amazing all night long, our guests loved the vibe that Dave brought to our wedding ceremony and reception. Having a destination wedding in Scottsdale from Seattle was stressful but Dave was able to meet with us through video chat and was very responsive by email. Our dancefloor stayed packed the whole evening and he announced events throughout the night as they occurred. The sound, equipment, lights, were amazing. You won't regret hiring Dave and his team! Alex for mayor of the dance floooor!

I can't even begin to thank Alex enough for DJ'ing our wedding last week -- it was truly amazing. Alex spent time with us on the phone prior to the wedding and did an excellent job in curating the perfect playlist for dinner and dancing based on our personal preferences. From the very start the dance floor was packed and stayed that way throughout the entire night. Song selection was top notch (no cheesy line or group dances) and the energy was as high as could be. We received so many compliments from friends and family that night and the next day (and days following) -- everyone had a blast and we have Alex to thank for that! I would recommend DHP and Alex 1000x over :)

You need to hire Drea!

We hired Drea to DJ our wedding and it was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! We wanted our wedding to be a night that our guests would remember and knew we needed a DJ that would make it happen for us. She listened to what we wanted and played the songs we requested while also using her expertise to make sure everyone was having a good time, our older family members included! SO many guests told us the music at our wedding was the best they've heard and so many told us it was the most fun wedding they've been to, and it was because Drea kept the party going and everyone on the dance floor! We had the best night ever and I can't recommend Desert House Productions, and specifically Drea, enough!

Desert House Every Time!

Dave was tremendous. He not only rocked the entire night but was a breeze to work through the entire process. He asked great questions gauging the genres of music we enjoyed and incorporated everything into the music. Very helpful insights. His equipment brought the music and vibe to the evening. Dance floor was packed from the beginning all the way until the lights turned on. No doubt here recommending Dave and Desert House.

Desert House was perfect for our wedding!

Drea at Desert House absolutely killed it for our Phoenix wedding! We are from NYC and had never seen them DJ but after calls and emails, we had complete faith in her. Most of our friends book bands but we decided to change it up and go with a DJ. Our friends are still raving about the music, every single guest was dancing all night because of Drea! The amount of guests who have told us that this was the most fun wedding they'd ever been to is too high to count and we know that a lot of that is due to Drea. She was able to take the lead and see what worked with out guests, we can't thank her enough!

Simply the best!

Incredible people, sound, and music. Working with Dave was an absolute pleasure. As I planned my wedding, Dave was personable, professional, and deeply kind. I very tragically lost a dear friend who would have been at my wedding and Dave not only rescheduled our meetings with complete graciousness, but was a beautiful collaborator to discuss how we could honor the memory of my friend during the dance party. We also had Dave and his fantastic assistant run the ceremony music and sound. Our venue was so impressed with their professionalism and the excellent sound throughout the outdoor space that they are now going to be recommending them for all future events. Many of the guests made a point to mention how great the sound was during the ceremony, dinner, and dancing. Everyone loved that they could hear every word and note. On top of it all, Dave was wonderful for my Uncle and brother in law (both professional musicians) to work with to mic their bassoon and guitar for my bridal entrance. I was walking on cloud nine the entire evening and everything was so beautifully MC'd, I honestly couldn't imagine a better person to work with or a more flawless event.

Best Wedding DJ!

We knew early on in the wedding planning process that having an amazing DJ was at the top of our priority list. We have been to so many weddings where the music was subpar. Desert House Productions did not disappoint! One of our biggest fears was having an empty dance floor, but Alex kept it going all night. He knew exactly what our guests wanted. I can not say enough good things about Alex and DHP.

Best wedding party & djs of all time ever

Dave and Drea are and were AMAZING! Dave met with us at brunch and really took the time to know us and our vibe. They were very easy to work with throughout the planning process, and Drea was making sure everything ran super smoothly during the reception behind scenes. We recently hired Desert House Productions for our September and wedding and were BEYOND impressed with the service they provided. All of the guests were so in love with the entertainment and music that night, it was for sure the best part of my entire wedding and I can not say enough amazing things about this company. My fiance has always been worried about the cheesy wedding DJ and they could not have been further from that!

Not only did they keep the party going they knew exactly what my style and taste was from the meetings we had leading up to the wedding. Do yourself a favor and hire these amazing talented people, you will not regret it!

We had a truly wonderful experience working with Drea from Desert House Productions. From our first meeting with Drea, we felt completely at ease and knew she would do a great job. We did not give her a ton of direction in terms of specific songs, but did our best to explain the vibe we were going for throughout different parts of the reception and she completely nailed it! She is truly a professional and can easily transition from one genre to another and read the crowd to keep everyone on the dance floor. She really kept the party going all night and we got so many compliments on the music. On the day of the wedding I remembered that there was a song I really wanted to hear and it completely slipped my mind when we did our planning session. Without Drea even knowing it, she played the song as we went up to cut our cake! I think it goes to show how well she knows her stuff and it made for such a special moment. We chose Desert House for our wedding and reception very quickly after meeting with them. We were immediately impressed by their knowledge and professionalism, but also were struck by how personable they were. We worked primarily with Anthony, who over the course of months before the big day, made himself so available to us if we felt like discussing one thing or another, and really made us feel like our party was in good hands (which was very welcome - one less thing on our plate). On the day Anthony was great. Everyone had such a good time - he was really able to collect our taste in music and a few vague notions and compose a really great night that we felt fit us really well. Afterwards we were told by multiple people that it was the busiest dance floor they’d ever seen at a wedding. Would highly recommend Anthony and Desert House to anyone!

Drea did such an incredible job DJing for our wedding. Everyone commented on how great the music was and what a wonderful vibe she cultivated. DJ Alex was great! We were particular about having a modern DJ (no chicken dance, etc), and Alex definitely delivered. DHP was very responsive throughout our planning, and booking was easy. We filled out a questionnaire a couple months before our wedding, and Alex set-up a call to discuss the details to make sure we were all on the same page. We had a last minute venue change due to rain, and Alex was very flexible and didn't miss a beat (literally)! He kept the dance floor going all night :)

I sincerely believe that if you don't book DHP for your wedding, you're making a massive mistake! Drea was an absolute joy to work with throughout our entire wedding process. She was attentive to what we liked and didn't like, incredibly flexible with us in her personal life and day of the wedding, and kept people dancing all night. You know it's a rare kind of DJ when other vendors are coming up to you at your reception telling you that she's the best DJ they've heard.

If you want a quality, professional DJ, you have to go with these guys. No chicken dances, or other corny tropes. These are top notch music aficionados who know what they are doing and do it to perfection.

Anthony with Desert House was very friendly and professional, as was the owner Dave. They showed enthusiasm for our wedding which we appreciated too :) We had to get them last minute because of an issue with our previous DJ company and they still made it happen. I wish the uplighting was included as it was with a couple other companies but I understand. We were happy and are certainly grateful, and I would indeed recommend Anthony and desert house for anyone looking to not have to worry about their DJ! Thank you!

Desert House Production is hands down the best DJ company in Arizona!!! We researched for months and interviewed countless companies, but no one gave us the immediate sense of comfort upon interviewing as Drea did with Desert House Production! Not only did the interview process completely put my now husband and I at ease, but when it came down to the day of the wedding I was floored by their level of care and service! I happened to lose my garter the morning of the wedding and Drea happened to text to wish me luck, well I started getting stressed and leave it to Drea to send me a text message that had me and my maid of honor rolling on the floor with laughter. Needless to say, all my stress was gone and I was able to relax the rest of the day! When I tell you that Drea is hands down the best DJ, I mean it!!!!! I am sure you have read countless reviews and are trying to find the right fit and make sure you have the best DJ.....you are doing exactly what I did when I was planning my wedding. Congratulations on doing your do diligence....and also congratulations on your engagement!! Now let me tell you from one bride to the other, you KNOW you nailed it with the perfect DJ when a YEAR later you have friends and family asking you who your DJ was because now they are engaged or know someone getting married and they want your DJ because they have never had that much fun at a wedding before!

My husband and I hired Desert House productions for our wedding a few days ago and it was one of the best decisions we made. From the get-go, we were impressed with this company and their approach to weddings. If you want to steer clear of a cheesy wedding dj, this company is for you! Our DJ, DJ Akshen, was great- we only submitted a few songs to him in advance, but he nailed it. People danced immediately and the dance floor was filled all night, unlike other weddings, where there usually are some lulls. People had such a fun time- no one wanted the night to end! Big thanks to Jay and the team for a phenomenal night!

We hired Desert House Productions for my daughter's wedding. They were the DJ's at an event we had attended last Fall and were impressed with their work. I contacted Drea and received an immediate response. She was very professional from start to finish. Drea worked with our daughter to set up her playlist. She played all the specific songs my daughter requested, and filled in with songs that fit our guests to a tee. She kept us on schedule with speeches, all announcements and wedding activities. But more importantly, kept the party going! All of our guests had a great time, and told us so, over and over!! I would definitely recommend DHP for any event, including weddings. Desert House is the best DJ brand in the State!

I attended 3 parties Desert House provided music for (two holiday parties, one wedding) and decided to employ them to DJ my wedding.

We had the pleasure of having Alex DJ at our wedding and he was fantastic! His music taste was excellent and the crowd loved it. Anytime I needed to make a speech he appeared (seemingly out of nowhere) to hand me the microphone.

Talk about a kick ass time!!! My family and friends are still talking about my wedding and how awesome it was! Before my wedding even happened I was recommending DHP to people I knew..I told Dave this and he said "I didn't even get to perform for you yet," Well its not just about the music (although it was awesome) DHP, and Dave in particular took care of my husband and I from day 1. He was very professional and took the time to hear our thoughts and gave us the most amazing day of our lives! He kept my people on the dance floor until the VERY end, and what DJ do you know that comes up to you throughout the night to make sure the bride and groom are doing ok, and making sure everything is up to par?!? We were lucky enough to have Drea emcee and provide music for our wedding. She was thorough, thoughtful, and made sure we were all on the same page for timelines, music expectations, and favorite songs. She helped us work out our timeline and was extremely flexible and stayed until the party was ready to wind down. Not only is she masterful at managing logistics and seamlessly guided us through the night, but she put down some pretty sick beats and was able to combine varied tastes from country to EDM into one party. Her transitions were spot-on and she really built the momentum of the party. Everyone had a fantastic time, and we got a tremendous amount of compliments on our DJ. We owe it all to Drea--we told her we wanted everyone to have a fantastic time and she made sure it was a night no one will forget.

I LOVE DHP! Drea was a dream to work with! My husband and I got married earlier this January. We were looking for not just any DJ but one who could also manage the flow of the ceremony and reception. Drea was amazing. She clearly had tons of experience and her timeline of the ceremony and reception flow was seamless. She listened to what we requested for music and we heard every song we requested! She was professional and responsive. DHP had lots of cool add on's as well. "Dave and Drea from Desert House Productions were so amazing in a somewhat last-minute booking (a Saturday wedding in October, in Arizona) with their team, and in connecting us with Anthony Hart! Anthony was AMAZING, to say the least, and it is nearly impossible to express how much we loved working with and how grateful we are to have had the pleasure of working with him. We, along with most of our friends, attended 4-8 weddings in 2016 and my (now) husband and I were the very last one, so we wanted to make it special not only for ourselves, but for our friends too. Anthony was an absolutely integral part of making our wedding truly perfect. The music for dinner was EXACTLY what we had in mind, and the music for dancing afterward was EXACTLY what we were thinking of. So many of our guests came up to me after the wedding and asked how we found our DJ because Anthony did such an amazing job at playing exactly our taste in music, blending in some music that all our guests would like, and being able to read the room and the mood so well and subsequently play songs that fit the energy and the mood perfectly. I don’t even know where to begin to articulate how incredible Drea was to work with while planning our October 2016 wedding. When our search commenced, we looked at bands and DJs that could perform in the Scottsdale area. I initially really wanted a band but could not find anyone I loved. We consistently came across Desert House Productions who received hundreds of perfect reviews, so we decided to reach out. We got in touch with Drea and set up a Skype date, as we were planning our wedding from Virginia. Within five minutes of chatting with her via Skype, we knew immediately that we had to have Drea as our DJ. She was hip, down to earth and extremely knowledgeable about the music industry and how to throw the party of a lifetime. Going into our search we knew that music can really make or break a wedding, so we had to have the perfect DJ. After talking to Drea, we knew we found the one! The months leading up to the wedding, we spoke with Drea nonstop via email about what we envisioned. She made those dreams come to life and offered ideas that made the wedding that much better!
The day of the wedding – we were BLOWN away. Wow, talk about true talent! Drea absolutely killed it! Our wedding was a blast. Our reception began at 6 pm and we had guests on the dance floor going hard way past midnight. The guests could not get enough of Drea and the music! We also asked her to incorporate some Ukrainian songs into the evening, since there would be some Ukrainian guests in the crowd. I was a bit concerned how that would work out, but the way she blended everything, it all just flowed. We had guests from all age ranges and the music Drea played was just perfect. Our guests have not stopped raving about her. It has definitely been nice hearing our guests tell us that our wedding was the best party they have ever been to – I credit that completely to Drea. Drea was such an integral part in making our wedding perfect! If you want a party of a lifetime, you have to get Drea!

Simply stated: there is no one better in the Valley. The team at Desert House Productions present the upmost professionalism, talent and quality. Throughout every phase of planning, Dave was focused on "getting it right" for us (the bride and groom) and creating a vibe and ambiance fit our diverse group of guests. WOW! Where do I even begin with DHP?! From the moment we met with Dave and his wife Dre we knew that they were the perfect match for our wedding day. We originally wanted to hire a band, but after looking at our venue and realizing space may be an issue, we decided to look into DJ's in the valley. Our biggest concern with hiring a DJ was that we didn't want to hire someone that would play "cliche" music like the "cha-cha slide" or "YMCA." Let me tell you, DHP is not your average DJ. They want to ensure that your guests are having the best time possible and I can guarantee they will put on the ultimate PARTY. We gave Dave a list of our "must plays" and "please do not plays" which gave him an idea of the music we love. We had A BLAST during our reception, and I know our guests did too. Dave kept the dance floor packed the entire night. They are true professionals and just great people. Don't you want to be surrounded by great people on your wedding day? Dave also did all of the audio for our ceremony and music for the cocktail hour which was perfect! So glad we hired him for the full package. I did not have to worry about a thing! If you're worried about your family members making crazy requests to play "Dancing Queen", don't worry, Dave will tell them "Sorry, the Bride said no!" I can only hope to work with DHP again in the future!

I can't say enough great things about Desert House Productions but I'll try. Firstly, I really connected w/ Drea the first time we spoke. It was refreshing to just hear everything I had previously been prying other DJ's that I had been interviewing for in the prior weeks before meeting the DHP team. I got a good vibe from Drea because she asked us a lot of questions too, getting to know us to figure out if they were capable of giving us what we wanted and making sure it was mutually a good fit. Music is really important to me and my wife, so we thoroughly vetted out and passed on 20+ DJ's. I'm in the music business, I'm a sound aficionado, I'm very picky about what I want to hear/see so probably not the easiest to please. But the decision to go w/ DHP was a no-brainer. It just wasn't even close compared to the competition. Then it was a matter of delivering on our expectations. We are 1002434753984560% satisfied w/ what we got from Drea. Everything from the booth setup, lighting, sound, etc. was perfect! Just so cool yet classy. Drea built enough of a relationship w/ us in the process so she knew what we wanted w/o a lot of direction. We were so busy planning the rest of our wedding/honeymoon I just wanted to have faith that the music aspect would take care of itself and Drea just absolutely nailed it. Everyone danced all night and had the greatest time. She read the crowd well. She collaborated really well w/ our photographer, videographer and planner. It was just really cool and not cheesy like I've seen at so many weddings. We got so much positive feedback from our friends/family and just ecstatic it turned out the way it did. Alex did a wonderful job DJing at our March wedding! Throughout the entire process he was detailed oriented and very thorough with excellent communication skills. The only thing I should really say about Drea is to hire her because she's the best. It was so easy and fun working with her up to our wedding. My husband and I told her what we liked and she immediately understood us and the vibe we were going for at our wedding. I never realized what a key part of running the wedding the DJ is and having someone like Drea who is such a professional and so on top of everything is incredibly important. She made everything we did with her so easy and then on the day of was beyond our expectations. All the music she selected was perfect, she played everything at the right times to keep things going and keep everyone having fun, and our dance floor ended up being lively the entire night. Drea is AMAZING!!! We loved having her at our wedding. She did a wonderful job and making us aware of specific details regarding the reception and provided many suggestions to make the reception amazing. She has this DJ intuition as well that even though she may have come in with a plan, she'll scrap it based on who's dancing and how many people are dancing which I thought was beyond amazing. There are not enough stars or words to describe how wonderful Dave was on our New Year's Eve wedding. Having a New Year's Eve wedding we felt it was important to book the best DJ we could find, and that we found in Desert House Productions. Professionalism and a love for music is quite apparent upon meeting Dave. DHP's new studio is modern and state of the art. He completely understood our vision for the day and executed it flawlessly. We received endless compliments on how awesome his DJ booth was, and even more awesome was guests did not even need to request music due to his ability to read the crowd and play relevant music the entire night. Dave is quite simply, THE BEST. We couldn't have been happier to have had Dave as our wedding DJ. He is absolutely spectacular- the music was amazing every moment of our wedding, and our guests had the BEST time, and raved about how he was absolutely the best DJ they had every experienced. We couldn't agree more! Dave took the time to meet with us a few months before our wedding, and really listened to the music that we liked and overall feel that we wanted for our wedding night. He seamlessly blended our requested music through dinner and dancing, and had everyone from my youngest cousins to 91 year old grandpa on the dance floor the whole night. He was so helpful in discussing the evening timeline and flow of events, and was very easy to get in touch with in the months leading up to our wedding. Dave is not only fantastic at what he does, but he is also just such a nice person that was so fun to work with the whole year leading up to our wedding. The DJ was the last vendor on our list that we booked. I asked around and the same name came up again and again - Desert House. I inquired on pricing and was a little worried it was too expensive. But please everyone read this: THEY ARE WORTH EVERY PENNY! Drea was hands-down the best DJ I've seen. Simply outstanding. It's like she was reading minds on the next perfect song to play. From the moment the dance floor opened to the last song, the dance floor was full! I have never seen anything like it. Drea was all about the music and barely spoke. My wife and I used Desert House Productions for our wedding in December of 2014 and they were perfect. We are both professional musicians and have exceptionally high standards for the music and entertainment for our wedding. From day one Drea was the textbook example of professionalism. It is incredibly refreshing to deal with a DJ who is tremendously organized and was immediately on the same page with our stylistic vision. The equipment they brought was top of the line and the mix was executed perfectly. There were 18 professional musicians in attendance at the wedding and all of them made a point to approach me and express how much they enjoyed that Drea and Dave were actually mixing and being tastefully creative. The most important and challenging aspect of a wedding for the DJ is walking the line between appropriate volume levels. Our grandparents were very happy that they could relax and enjoy the Motown music during dinner and not struggle to make conversation but the music was bumpin enough for the guests to cut loose and dance. Desert House Productions carry my highest personal and professional recommendation for any event.

We recently had our wedding in Scottsdale in early November and used Desert House for our dinner and dance. They were amazing. Drea did a perfect job with all the announcements and introductions and kept things moving smoothly. We are not big music people and basically left everything up to her, and she nailed it. Every song she chose was perfect for the setting and she really understood the crowd and created a great atmosphere. We also had to move venues for the late-night part and she had both areas set up and ready to go no problem. A lot of our guests came up to us and commented on how great the DJ was and that they wish they had Desert House for their wedding. They were both so happy, pleasant, fun, and easy to work with.

Dave is a fantastic DJ. He knows music and knows people! He helped us from start to finish, and made the experience a lot less stressful than it could have been. He MC'd for us and is very organized and timeline efficient.
With this being a destination wedding for us, I interviewed many DJ's over the phone and searched reviews. Desert House Productions was the most fun, professional, DJ service, and suited us perfectly!
On the night of the event, Dave tailored/changed the music with the different types of people that were dancing. He could read the audience so well! From start to finish, everything went as planned and was executed perfectly.

My husband and I always knew that hiring the right DJ was going to be one of the most important parts of our wedding. We did our research and talked to multiple different DJs and ended up going with Anthony Hart of Desert House Productions. Right from the start we knew he was the right choice for us. He was very easy-going, fun, easy to work with, and really made an effort to ensure that the playlist and atmosphere created was what we were looking for. We hired Dave to DJ our wedding. He came highly recommended from both our venue and our wedding coordinator, and he really delivered. We also read through the weddingwire reviews, saw some of his videos, and spoke to a former client to do some due diligence since we were unable to meet with him in person before booking.

Music for us was important, and it was important for us to find a DJ that would work well with our mix of international and American guests and different generations. He listened to what we wanted--we gave him a few songs to play and not play and some genres we liked--and he handled the rest, which is exactly what we wanted! Music is an area where we gladly relied on our expert DJ Dave to deliver a good party ambiance.

Everyone, of all ages, was talking about what a wonderful DJ we had and asking how did we find him and saying that he was the best DJ they'd seen ever at a wedding. Another of our friends said they were disappointed to see we didn't get a live band but was pleasantly surprised by Dave saying he was the best wedding DJ he'd seen by far, and ultimately had a blast on the dance floor.

Dave worked really well with all of us in the planning stages, and secretly with my relatives to seamlessly include a game and slideshow. We had a blast. We were all bouncing around the dance floor all night!

I cannot emphasize enough how much you need to hire Desert House. We hired them for our wedding and they were amazing from beginning to end. Book them now! Dave was very responsive, really showed that he cared and made our wedding a blast! Forget the typical cheesy wedding DJs. Desert House was fun, fresh and just awesome! Cannot say enough good things!

To me MC means move the crowd! And we got an MC of the highest level when we hired Desert House productions to DJ our wedding. The dance floor was packed from start to finish with calls to "continue the party" well into the wee hours of the morning. However it wasn't just the music that made our day special but the vibe created by Drea Strickler. While the room was decorated beautifully, it was the ambiance she created that put our loved ones in the mood. Instead of the typical "love songs" during dinner, we wanted a more upbeat tempo. So Drea had people dancing in their seats with Neo-Soul. By the time we were ready to hit the dance floor our guests were already livened up and ready to groove. And that's when Desert House killed it! Not only did they just play music, they read the crowd and kept the feet moving on the dance floor, between the tables and into the hallway. Almost a year after our wedding, our guests are still asking about "The BIG TIME DJ we had flown in from LA or New York." We've been to a lot of weddings. While most DJs are doing the "Chicken Dance" or the "Macarena," Desert House is creating the right PARTY atmosphere to keep your guests having a great time celebrating YOUR LOVE.

Drea is awesome! I never left the dance floor because all her music selections were on point! All my guests raved about it.
