Look No Further - Went Above and Beyond in Every Way
We could not be happier with our experience with Deron L. Baker from our very first inquiry to the final song of the night. As a primarily Jacksonville-based band, they were generous enough to make the trip down to Orlando for our wedding, and the additional travel cost was more than reasonable.
Deron went above and beyond by learning three new songs specifically for our day: our processional, first dance, and recessional. He also performed our father-daughter and mother-son dances live. For our processional, he even wrote his own arrangement to better suit the moment, which was not only beautiful but felt deeply intentional and personal to us.
Throughout the reception, the band kept the dance floor packed and the energy soaring from start to finish. Communication with Deron was effortless from day one — he was responsive, easy to reach, and a pleasure to work with at every step. He and his entire band are also genuinely kind people, which made the whole experience that much better.
As a musician myself, I can say with confidence that Deron and his band are exceptionally talented. We cannot recommend them highly enough.

Amazing!!!
Deron was absolutely amazing! He answered all of my questions and, whenever I was unsure about music choices, he offered thoughtful advice and guidance. He took the time to talk with me over the phone, which made me feel comfortable and confident throughout the process.
Even when the rain took over my wedding day and everything had to be moved indoors, Deron made it work seamlessly. He adapted to all of the changes with such professionalism and helped create a beautiful atmosphere despite the unexpected weather. His talent, flexibility, and positive attitude truly made a difference.

Professional, Flexible, and Great to Work With
As a wedding coordinator, I truly appreciate vendors who communicate well, stay on timeline, and can adapt when plans change. Deron was all of that and more.
We worked together on a rainy wedding day in St. Augustine, with the ceremony at the Lightner Museum and reception at Casa Monica Resort & Spa. When weather required adjustments to the timeline and event flow, he was incredibly responsive and flexible, making the changes easy to implement.
His ceremony music beautifully complemented the venue, and his live entertainment kept guests on the dance floor throughout the reception. Professional, reliable, and talented—exactly the kind of vendor I look forward to working with again. I will definitely recommend him to couples looking for live, entertaining music!

Perfect all around!
We hired Deron and his team for our rehearsal dinner. He was so easy to work with and very flexible. He easily moved from our indoor event to our outdoor one. Gainesville Wedding with Amazing Music
Deron's band was amazing. They showed up early and were very professional, but still had a lot of fun working our wedding. Deron has an amazing ability to do modern songs as well as all the beloved classics like the beatles, bobby darin, and can even figure out an obscure request you have. (My wife requested a different custom rendition of La Vie En Rose, and he nailed it!) He was very flexible with where we had him (both indoor and outdoor) and he worked perfectly with us to make sure everything went to plan the day of. He also did a great job DJing our wedding, and did all the announcements and pacing perfectly. The photo below is of him right before the start of our outdoor ceremony. He showed up to a town and location he never worked before and figured it out, and still had fun as shown in the picture! His personality will mesh well with your wedding, he was really nice, patient, and kind to everyone too. We cannot recommend him enough, and only wish we could have him play more for us. A+++ and you won't regret having him play at your wedding!

Deron was BEYOND professional, patient, and went above and beyond for us! He learned multiple the songs JUST for us. He also helped me create a playlist that I needed for background music. I literally could not recommend him enough! Thank you Deron for making our night unforgettable!!!

Talented musician and an even nicer person to work with
Deron was amazing and thorough from start to finish. He is a talented guitarist (we did not use vocals, just guitar) for my daughter’s small, intimate wedding. He worked with us to ensure we would be completely satisfied with the song choices, announcements, and overall wedding ambiance. Highly recommend!

I cannot recommend them enough.
Deron and the Mix were exactly what we wanted for a reception band. Great sound, good tunes, and kept the guests moving.
Fast on his feet! Our officient forgot to tell people to rise for the bride, Deron saved it.
Learned our songs and played them to perfection.
Highly recommend for ceremony and/or reception band.

Deron Baker Musician
We hired Deron to play music at our daughter's wedding. He did a wonderful job playing during her ceremony, accompanying my daughter in law with a song that she sang and even learned a new song to play during our daughter's first dance. We loved having the special touch of Deron's live music to elevate our day!

Perfect addition to a ceremony
I cannot express in words how amazing Deron is and how he added the perfect touch to our ceremony! First of all he is so kind, extremely responsive and an amazing musician! We had an elopement style ceremony at Castle Otttis and he played the guitar and sang. I sent him a few songs that we wanted and although he said he wasn’t familiar with them he learned them and you would have never known he hadn’t been playing them for years!! There wasn’t a single person at our ceremony that didn’t complement how amazing he was and how he added such a special touch! I highly recommend him for any event! He was so easy to work with and I am so glad he was a part of our special day!

Deron was our musician for a wedding Welcome Party and was amazing! From our initial email he was responsive, personable, professional and accommodating. The night of the party our guests continually came up to me raving about how fabulous he was. His song selections were perfect, he was incredibly engaged with our group, and his music was awesome. Wow just wow!
Words can NOT describe how amazing Deron and the musicians were at my wedding. It was a chefs kiss for the ceremony. The violinist and keyboard players absolutely killed it! They didn’t hesitate to play all the songs requested (like the Formula One theme song) and even through out a couple suggestions (like Bartender by T-Pain for our beer/flower women). I wouldn’t have had our wedding any other way and was so much better then my original plan of just having the DJ play the songs for the ceremony. Deron….honestly THANK YOU!

Deron made our rehearsal dinner and welcome reception so special! The music selection was exactly what we had chosen and we had so many people compliment the quality. He also managed the transition between the dinner and welcome party, provided a microphone for guests to give speeches and created such an intimate ambiance. Great performance

Amazing guitarist and singer for wedding!
Deron sang our ceremony and cocktail hour at our wedding at the Lightner Museum in St. Augustine, FL. He had already come highly recommended from my wedding planner, Michelle, at Coastal Celebrations.
Professionalism 10/10- Deron was so easy to work with- he was on top of it with sending over suggested ceremony songs as well as the set list of songs he could sing at the cocktail hour. He even learned a song for our recessional that was special to us!
Talent 1000000/10- I could hear Deron playing guitar from the bridal suite while folks were getting seated for the ceremony and it was above and beyond anything I could've dreamed of. If you want a truly talented guitar player and musician this is your guy. We decided to do guitar only for the ceremony and vocals/guitar for the cocktail hour. The variety of music that was played in the cocktail hour impressed people of every age! I would 10/10 book Deron again for any music event I had! SUPER talented guy!!!!

Unforgettable Music Rain or Shine
Deron and his band were absolutely fantastic! Despite the unexpected rain, they brought an incredible energy to our outdoor wedding. Amelia Island Wedding
I had a wedding of 30 close family members. I wasn't sure if I wanted a DJ or live music. My wedding planner suggested Deron after I decided on having a guitarist. Deron was awesome! He was prompt with answering all of my questions and emails. I was very indecisive with whether I wanted just music played or having him sing. He took that pressure away after saying he would just go with the vibe of the crowd. I also wasn't sure if there would be any dancing with such a small wedding. Deron had a great song list to choose from and is also willing to learn/play any song requests. He is very talented and professional. I was very pleased with the turn-out of everything and how easy-going Deron was with all of my indecisiveness. I was also very impressed with the violinist Daria who we used for the ceremony. Deron was absolutely awesome! He was punctual, courteous, and definitely talented. His willingness to just go with the flow made him so easy to work with. Two Amazing Days of Music!
Many thanks to Deron Baker and his band for two amazing days of music which included our pre-wedding cocktail gathering on the eve of our wedding, followed by our Wedding Ceremony the next morning and our Wedding Reception. Deron spoke with us prior to the event to discuss and plan the playlist for our wedding weekend. He was professional, flexible and easy to work with and it all came together perfectly. He and his band seamlessly transitioned from one event to the next performing music that set the tone brilliantly. Deron will deliver musical greatness for any occasion
Deron was very calm, cool and collected during our phone/email communications leading up to our wedding (destination for us, home for him). He provided a list of songs he knew that we could choose from, but since we were big music enthusiasts, we gave him 15 other songs to learn to perform on our big day. He impressed us with his willingness to learn and exceptional artistry. He delivered everything and more we could ask for (ceremony, reception, happy hour, first dances). Choosing Deron for our cocktail hour entertainment was a wonderful choice. He plays beautifully and sets the tone for romance when needed. He had a wide variety of music from which to choose and a lovely voice as well. He also was very aware of timing for the bridal walk and was able to slow things down and still sound lovely. I'd hire Deron for other events as well. While his music is a true blessing, so is his presence. The sweetest soul!

Wedding Ceremony
Deron made our daughter's wedding extra-special. I had heard him play at another venue and knew this is the musician we wanted for our event. His sweet-sounding voice combination with guitar was perfect for the ceremony and Happy Hour. The instrumental "Here Comes the Bride" was beautiful. His music was enjoyed by all and I would recommend him for your event.

If you’re needing a musician for any occasion, hire this man. We booked Deron for our wedding and he blew us away with his professionalism, kindness, and what a genuine pleasure he was to work with. With pre-wedding planning he was quick and responsive with any questions and was willing to go the extra mile to try to squeeze all of the details we wanted in. Then the actual wedding day arrived and his performance(s) blew us (and all of our guests) away - this man can sing and play with the best of them and is truly such a humble person. Just what we were looking for
Deron was quick to respond and very easy to work with. He played music for our cermony and took the songs I wanted and made the perfect arrangements of them- he sent me previews prior to the ceremony - which really helped alleviate my pre wedding anxiety - everything was perfect ! multiple guests commented on how the whole tone was set by his music & how beautiful it was. We had an outdoor wedding in the courtyard at the Lightner Museum with about 35 guests.

Won’t leave a dry eye at your ceremony
What stood out to us first about Deron was how kind, calm and helpful he was when we first chatted and he helped us figure out how we wanted our ceremony and reception to feel and details in taking place. Deron not only is very talented but his acoustic guitar and singing bring a cerebral, warm intimate and romantic feel to any venue. There was hardly a dry eye in our ceremony as we walked out to gentle strumming of a “Wonderful World” and singing of “Your Song” as I walked down the aisle. The band made it impossible for the dance floor to be empty with incredible covers of our favorite songs (ps there were a large variety of songs to choose from which is nice and no one thinks about worrying about when you want live music!) They went above and beyond, were professional and so so talented and I couldn’t consider myself a decent person if we didn’t share this with other couples, so they can experience this wonderful part of their wedding.

Deron was fantastic, I could hear him playing while I was getting ready in the bridal suite and I wish I could have sat out there for hours. Not only that, but he went above and beyond and provided unexpected audio service for us when our dj ended up arriving late. I don’t even think I got to properly thank him for that because I didn’t know until after, so thank you deron! So many of my guests were impressed by him and he got so many compliments from them. 12/10 all around

We hired Deron Baker to perform as a musical guest at our recent 50th Anniversary Party, and could not have been more pleased with his performance! Absolutely Breathtaking!!!
Deron is amazing!!! Asking him to play at our wedding was one of the best decisions we made. I can’t say enough how awesome Deron and his bandmates were for both our wedding ceremony and our reception. Deron’s acoustic sounds for the ceremony on the sailing vessel, Schooner Freedom, were absolutely breathtaking, and the added drummer and keyboardist at the reception were utterly perfect. We could not have asked for a better wedding vibe!!!! Seeing all my friends and family come together made for such a perfect day.

This band is amazing. We had Deron play at our wedding and then had his band play at our party a year later. Every musician is super talented and fun. They played a wonderful variety of songs. Deron played for my daughter's wedding ceremony on 12/10/2021. He was absolutely wonderful. Deron was easy to work with from start to finish. He was very prompt on text and email communications. If there was a song choice he has never played, he will learn it and master it. His guitar playing is superb, and it created the perfect environment for the ceremony. I had numerous guests come up to me and let me know that they not only enjoyed hearing him on guitar, but also his unique acoustic sound. I can't recommend him enough.

80th birthday dinner was a hit!
Deron and Rob really knew how to make the intimate dinner party we had for my mom's 80th birthday feel like a grand affair. They played all the right songs, took our requests and made my mom and everyone attending feel extra special. Their voices were incredible and they were extremely professional. Deron - the best ceremony/cocktail hour guitarist
We cannot talk enough good things about how much Deron was perfect for our wedding.
He played everything for our pre-ceremony, ceremony and cocktail hour that we wanted; understood our music genre choices, and filled it with a catalog that really kept the ambience of the day nice and light. Not to mention, he's insanely good. It's been 2 weeks since the wedding and people are still telling us how much they enjoyed him.
From rescheduling due to the pandemic, to our indecision on song selection, and the chaos day-of weather wise (how he played in that wind, I won't understand) he was the ultimate professional. At the end of the day, you want someone that's easy to work with and understands exactly what you want, and Deron is that person. Thank you Deron for exceeding our expectations by a mile and a half.

Awesome band!
I used Deron Baker Music for a surprise 60 th birthday party for my husband. From first contact, Deron was professional and responsive. I had never hired musicians before and he made the process seamless. Deron and Lou were very flexible and have a very large playlist and took requests as well. All the party guests thought they were fantastic and didn’t want them to leave! They agreed to stay a little longer which I really appreciated! I would highly recommend them!

Extraordinary talent, far exceeded expectations!
We had the PLEASURE of working with Deron over the last few months as we planned our son's Rehearsal Dinner and Welcome Party in St. Augustine! He is the kindest, most responsive professional. He and Lou provided acoustic guitar music during our dinner for 65 guests in the Loft Room at The White Room....it was beautiful, it set the mood and was at the perfect sound level for dinner music. Deron and Lou then moved onto the rooftop of the White Room and were joined by their fabulous drummer!! What a trio they formed and they sang for the next 2 hours!! Our Welcome Party was large, 215 guests....and their music filled the space but did not overwhelm!!! We had RAVE, RAVE reviews from all of our guests and our son and his fiancee!! Deron Baker and his fellow musicians were FAR BEYOND our expectations!! They are seriously TALENTED musicians and seriously kind men....so anxious to make our experience easy and over the top!!!!! My husband and I are definitely very discerning clients, with very high standards. We have hosted many high end galas and events and have dealt with many vendors. There wasn't a minute in the planning phase that I was concerned about them "coming through". And from the first note of music that they played until the last....our guests thoroughly enjoyed them, their music did not take over our party, it ENHANCED it!!!!
Without hesitation, we give Deron Baker our VERY HIGHEST recommendation!!! You will never regret hiring him!!!! It was a pleasure!! We just wish that we lived in St. Augustine so that we could hire them again and again!!

This band made the evening!
Deron Baker provided outstanding music for our 150 person Friday night welcome party during our son’s wedding weekend. They totally read the mixed aged group crowd so well and played a fantastic mix of songs that everyone loved. They also dealt well with moderating song choices and volume level during periods of conversation. They really key in perfectly on the specific crowd and are thoughtful about their music! It was excellent quality and enormously fun mix. The raves from our guests about the evening were all about this band! They were very professional and dealt very graciously with all our specific requests. Just a really talented and really easy to work with band! I give them A+ !

A night to remember!
Right from the start Deron had great communication and the process was so easy while booking him for our upcoming wedding. He had a complete list of songs, which were all amazing, and they all had a little something for everyone! Deron truly made our night special and even sang a private song for my husband and I to dance to after cocktail hour. He's Amazing
I came upon Deron's page here on Wedding Wire. I listened to all of his pieces and read all of his reviews and they were all nothing but great! I was surprised when I did book him almost two years prior to my wedding that he called right away and wanted to touch base on things. He is very kind, thoughtful, and considerate. I asked for a special arrangement for my bridal party and myself coming down the aisle and he was able to alter it beautifully. He made what I imagined come true. Everyone enjoyed listening to him throughout the cocktail hour. I cannot stress enough how much of a nice guy he was as well as how beautifully he was able to sing and play his guitar.

We had Deron play 2 nights for our wedding and I cannot say enough about how happy we were with him. One of the nights he blew us away playing ambient music as the background to a small ceremony. The next night he played an amazing set of songs we loved for our rehearsal dinner. He went as far as to learn songs we requested and was earning praise from many guests that were in attendance. Easiest person to work with ever. Quick, clear responses to any inquiry and helpful. I hope we have another event in the area so that we can have him play for us again!

Deron + team did an amazing job at my wedding and the guests have continued to rave about how lovely the music was. We cannot say enough good things about Deron! He played and sang during our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour at our recent June wedding. He sounded amazing! Many of our guests complimented him and requested his contact information from us. He was extremely responsive which was very much appreciated by us. He has a very long list of songs and options which we liked. He proactively worked with us on the music and timing of the ceremony to ensure our expectations were surpassed. Planning and executing a wedding during a pandemic required changes at times and Deron was very flexible and accommodating. We look forward to more opportunities to work with Deron!

Amazing musician!
Deron was absolutely amazing! You never would've guessed he was cold, with the sudden change in temp! The music was phenomenal and our guests raved about it! Hearing it as I watched everyone walk down the aisle was great. I gave 3 requests for music and he nailed them ALL!!

I knew I wanted live music at my son’s rehearsal dinner and thankfully I didn’t have to look far. Deron was highly recommended from a good friend of mine who had used him for her son’s RD, and also from the coordinator at our venue. He began singing and playing his guitar during our cocktail hour, continued through dinner, and even played after our event was over while our guests stayed and mingled. He is very talented and did such an amazing job! His primary goal from beginning to end was to make sure our needs were met. He was also a pleasure to work with leading up to our big night. Don’t hesitate to use Deron at your next special event, you won’t be disappointed!

Deron made our wedding magical!
Deron's beautiful music wove the whole wedding together into a beach-front fairytale. We had a small ocean front wedding. I wanted elegance and simplicity. Having Deron there with his acoustic guitar was perfect. He is gifted! He sings too!
Most important, he is a gem of a person. Easy to work with and genuinely kind. He can create any kind of vibe you want. I'm recommending him to everyone, he's that good. As a bonus, he is reasonably priced. If you want to bring the elegance of live music to your wedding, you won't find anyone better than Deron Baker.

Best Addition to our Wwdding Ceremony
We had our wedding on the rooftop at The White Room in St. Augustine. We had hired a DJ & were just going to come up with a playlist for ceremony. I am SO glad my mom offered to pay for some live music instead. I discovered Deron and his acoustic vibe was the PERFECT fit for the ceremony. While we didn’t get to enjoy much of it be hidden before the ceremony, he played the song i chose to walk down the aisle too beautifully. He even added some vocals to a song as we processed out. He was incredibly easy to work with, quick to respond to all my questions, gave suggestions on music and catered to all my requests. If you hadn’t planned on having live music, i would rethink. It was one of the best decisions & our guests loved it too!

I literally couldn’t sing Deron’s praises enough! He performed 3 songs during our beach ceremony and then played for 3 hours during our reception. Every guest we talked to sang his praises! His voice and acoustic guitar abilities are SUPERIOR and he was so much fun! Additionally he was reliable, and even learned some songs for us in advance, and took requests the night of!
Examples of songs: Wildflower, One Love, Grow Old With You, Blackbird, Sweater Song, and so many more!

Amazing & very Talented
Derron was such a great person to work with. He made us feel very confident and comfortable before the wedding even started! Definitely would recommend him to anyone in need of a musician for their wedding. Thank you again Derron for making our wedding day magical!

Couldn't have asked for better.
Absolutely incredible performance! He was willing to learn 3 songs we requested all in such a short time frame. His rendition of "Bittersweet Symphony" couldn't have been more perfect for my wife to walk down the isle to me. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how great he played during cocktail hour. He is a pleasure to work with and be around. I highly recommend him!

Fantastic musician and professional
Deron is not only a highly talented musician but also excellent at communication, flexible with music choices, and a true professional. Deron played guitar and sang at our vow renewal ceremony and during our family and friend portrait session. He was fantastic. I would definitely recommend him for music for any event.

Deron was AMAZING!. He was prepared, everything was was set up and he started singing and playing as soon as my new husband and I, as well as our guests came from the ceremony and entered into the courtyard. He sang my favorite song as we walked in and I immediately began to feel the joy in my heart. It was beyond perfect. Deron went out of his way to communicate with me to be sure I was happy. He is such a gifted musician and was very kind and easy to work with. I would recommend him to anyone.

Deron was AMAZING! We could not have asked for a better DJ/Musician for our wedding at The White Room in St. Augustine. He was wonderful to work with and really went out of his way to help me select music/learn songs for our ceremony and reception. The guests absolutely loved him:) We highly recommend him!
