I highly recommend Derek & Kayla for your engagement and wedding photo needs! I first reached out to them as I liked their editing style: light, bright and fun, yet still classic.
I am so happy we ended up working with them as they knocked it out of the park with our photos and brought a sweet and calm presence for our day. It was great to have 2 shooters who are so used to working with each other and kept the photo process moving efficiently so we could enjoy as much of the celebration as possible.
We also had to reschedule our engagement shoot a few times due to covid and weather. They were very kind and accommodating about this!
Our photos turned out absolutely perfect, we have gotten many compliments from family and friends! They captured our day so well and I am so grateful to have these photos to look back on for many years to come ❤️✨ -

Amazing Photographers!!
If you are looking for an exceptional photographer for your big day look no further, Derek and Kayla are the most wonderful people to have capture your wedding day. They are such a great team and so pleasant to work with. We decided to book one photographer and had the pleasure of working with Derek. We love Derek and he proved to be incredibly talented and professional.
He was truly the saving grace of our wedding. During the whirlwind day he kept us calm and composed. He kept us on a timeline and checked in with us better than our own planner. Then, after receiving our photos we were blown away by the quality of work. He has a beautiful eye for capturing the most special moments and sweetest details. He provided us with such gentle and perfect direction that we felt like models. We would highly recommend booking with Derek and Kayla. We can’t thank them enough for providing us with the most breathtaking photos of our union.

We just received our wedding photos back (a few weeks after our wedding) and Derek and Kayla did a PHENOMENAL job, organically capturing all the moments of love and joy that we will treasure forever. Working with Derek and Kayla was a breeze - they were consummate pros that were also super fun and down to earth. They were incredibly attentive to our questions (before and after booking), and they graciously accommodated us when we had to reschedule our engagement shoot several times. When Kayla had to back out due to falling sick week-of, they were in constant communication and assured us repeatedly that their backup second shooter would deliver the quality and style we were expecting (the final product did not disappoint!). When we had some day-of issues with other vendors (in no way D&K's responsibility) that threatened to derail our day, Derek stepped up (unprompted) and got the issues sorted so that the trains ran on time and we could enjoy our wedding day. We are overjoyed we chose Derek & Kayla as our photographers and could not recommend them enough. -

Wedding Magic ✨
Derek and Kayla and their additional staff are an amazing team! They included an engagement session before the big day which helped us talk through requests and get more special shots to use at our wedding. When it came to the big day-they were patient, flexible, dedicated to our feedback and the photos turned out stunning! We are so thankful to this team for helping us celebrate and capturing the big and small moments throughout our wedding. Definitely use them for your next event! -

We love our wedding pics!
Derek and Kayla just delivered our photos and we are in LOVE. These two are the best in the biz - fun, talented and know exactly how to capture authentic moments from your big day. They are professional, organized and all around wonderful humans. I also can be very awkward in front of the camera and Kayla was so helpful with directions and knew exactly how to make us both feel comfortable and relaxed. We also did our engagement photos with them and absolutely love them. Thank you, D + K! -

Derek and Kayla were so great during our big day! They did our engagement pictures as well! We wanted our pictures with a lot of light and we wanted more candid and romantic pictures. They did an amazing job blending in with our guests. We are still waiting for our wedding pictures but we hope to get them soon! We did have our engagement pictures taken and edited by them which turned out amazing! We would highly recommend them! -

Derek is AMAZING. We literally couldn't think of anyone else to do our wedding even if we had the biggest budget in the world. Derek KILLED our photos. So thankful to stumble upon him on Instagram. Kayla his partner helped with so much of our wedding, she is a wedding planner and saved our day! -

Won a giveaway & so happy about it!
Derek drove 8 hours to shot or elopement session....WOW. We won a giveaway on his Instagram and he did not sway from it. 8 hours in the desert of CA in Joshua Tree State Park, we had the best elopement ever. I refer Derek to all my friends who are getting married. My best friend kat is getting married in August and I cannot wait to see Derek and Kayla again !! -
