  Top Notch Videographer!

  Derek Fowler is the absolute best and his work is pristine! From start to finish (and that was 2 years thanks to Covid delays) Derek was fantastic to work with. Derek was easy to communicate with, kind, friendly, and flexible. We are very happy with the videos we received and we highly recommend him for your wedding or event.

  We really enjoyed working with Derek. Throughout the process, Derek was quick to respond to our questions, flexible when I couldn't make up my mind about whether to film the first look (ultimately decided to film it--and so glad we did!), and always so friendly. We just got our highlights video back and love it!!

  It was and has been such a pleasure working with Derek!! We found him through Thumbtack, and, at the time, we also were looking for a wedding photographer. He recommended and had worked with All Things Beautiful Photography, LLC (also in Richmond, VA) in the past. They offered a combo videographer/photographer deal at the time, which we found very reasonable, so we proceeded with them for our wedding photographer and videographer. Since we didn't know him personally at first, we were a bit nervous at the start. But oh man, did those nerves go away after we hung out with Derek during our engagement session. He traveled up with our photographer from Richmond to Alexandria, VA (not a quick or easy trip) for our engagement session in April to film part of our shoot (so kind of him!). We had coffee first, went over some wedding details, then went exploring for our engagement photos. We knew then we made the best choice for our wedding videographer. After hanging out for half the day, we were able to get to know Derek on a personal basis, and he wasn't just someone we worked with, but a friend. And then, if things couldn't get better, we watched the video of our engagement session--absolutely beautiful. We couldn't wait to see him in November for our wedding!! When our wedding day finally came, it was like seeing a good friend you hadn't seen in months, full of big hugs, and we knew he was going to do great work. It was a VERY cold and blustery day but he toughed it out like a champ. It meant so much knowing an expert was there capturing our very special moments that we could watch for years to come. We absolutely loved how humble, encouraging and kind he is, which is evident by how much he encourages and promotes those he works with. We absolutely love Derek and cannot recommend him enough!!!! We are so thankful that God pointed us in his direction!!!

  We worked with Derek for our wedding last year, and my husband and I still talk about how incredible he was to work with. He was by far our favorite vendor that we worked with for the whole wedding. Before the wedding he took a lot of time to really get to know my husband and I so that way he truly understood what we wanted out of our wedding video. During the wedding he captured some great moments while remaining unobtrusive. After the wedding, he was fantastic at communicating with us what was going on with our edits and used music that we selected so that way everything was super fitting to us as a couple. The final video was absolutely incredible. He's a true artist. Finally, he never asked us to write a review. A lot of our other vendors harassed us for reviews afterwards which was kind of frustrating. Derek is just an all around awesome person and you should definitely hire him :)

  Derek was always so professional, always got back to me with any questions, very prompt, and overall amazing. His work is incredible and I can’t wait to see our video! Moments I have may have forgotten about, I will be able to see all over again. Highly recommend!

  We found Derek through our wedding photographer, Roger Hammons. We were not originally intending to book a videographer because we didn't have room in the budget. Derek was willing to work with our budget and we booked him rather late in the game. And thank goodness we did! Having the video is invaluable and he did an absolutely amazing job. He made a highlight video for us to post online and also a two-DVD fully edited feature of our entire event. We have gotten so many compliments on how great the finished product is.

  We could not have asked for a better videographer! After having to walk away from another vendor for unprofessional behavior, we were panicked that we would not find a videographer we liked in time for our June wedding. Our wedding planner, Caroline Birgmann, immediately sent us Derek's information, and he and I met up to discuss the event. His calm and professional nature put me at ease immediately, and during the big day he did the same for everyone involved. Our parents and guests have continued to compliment his ability to be in the action capturing key moments without obstructing them, and everyone has been in LOVE with our final product. Derek worked with us from top to bottom-music choices, edits, payments, and everything else in between to make our video specific and special for US. We were surprised and elated with the packaging of our full-length video, where he included professional photos from our photographer, Shalese Danielle, as well as our custom save the date and ceremony programs. We highly recommend Derek for any occasion and can't thank him enough for doing such a superb job capturing our big day!
