Unexpected highlight of my wedding day!
I'm someone who doesn't wear makeup normally, so I was kind of nervous heading into a professional makeup setting on my wedding day, especially since we live out of state and didn't have time to do a trial. It was really important to me to look like myself, just dressed up, and not a "glam" full face that doesn't match how I look day-to-day. Heather and her team knocked it out of the park! They did hair and makeup for me and the moms, and hair for my bridesmaids. They brought such good energy and we were rolling with laughter the whole time we were getting ready. We were able to get ready in my in-laws' home, which was really lovely as we had family coming in and out and very cozy vibes. The look was exactly what I hoped for, a sweet look somewhere between "no-makeup" and "classical romantic" and my hair was just PERFECT as well. They went above and beyond to make sure everyone was included and got the style they were looking for! Extra points for being welcoming to LGBT party members! Getting ready turned out to be one of my favorite memories of my wedding day, thanks to the Delish team! Highly recommend :) -

Heather went above and beyond!
Heather Heen and Delish Makeup were recommended to me by a friend in New York who got married in Hawaii. I can't thank Heather enough for how amazing and easy she was to work with! She was nicely responsive in our emails, phone calls and text messages, and her willingness to travel to Laie was incredibly appreciated. She made the process wonderfully relaxing by listening to what I wanted, and helping me create the perfect "sun-kissed" look that was classically beautiful and minimal. I say she went above and beyond because she also helped me figure out how to attach the boob tape to keep from popping out of my dress, which is something I had never used before! Weddings (and other major events) can be incredibly stressful, and I highly recommend Heather to help make the day calm and enjoyable! -

AMAZING! A+++ Heather was wonderful. Responsive, funny, friendly, listened to my requests, made me look very good, gave me tips to keep my hair and makeup looking good til my 6:30pm wedding ceremony, and was able to accommodate my change of plans super last minute! (I texted her late at night like 11pm the night before my wedding, I didn't expect her to even reply but she did! and she did her best to fit me in to her busy schedule, she even came early!) It was my first time getting my hair and makeup done so I was nervous but she did such a great job and made me feel comfortable. I appreciated her so much. Thank you again, Heather! :-) -

Heather and her team are just spectacular! I hired Heather & the Delish team at the recommendation of our coordinator, and after reading all of their 5 star reviews. They were very easy to communicate with.
I do not wear much makeup, and the couple times I have had my makeup done I have truly disliked it. So I was quite nervous, but I can't tell you how much I loved my makeup on my wedding day! I was blown away! I even asked her to match my lip color to my red flowers and she nailed it. My hair was a dream- Heather did just what I wanted (which she somehow figured out from combining 2 photos I showed her) and she placed flowers in my hair ever so beautifully. She also placed my veil. My bridesmaids and mom all liked their hair & makeup. My sister told me that she realized on our wedding day it was the first day she felt beautiful in over a year (bc cancer).
Also, Heather was punctual and just fun to be around. My mom is still talking about how much she liked Heather. She's down to earth, and she was totally cool with being subjected to my wild wedding day playlist (hello throwbacks).
HIGHLY recommend Heather and her team if you want someone who is easy to work with and who will make you feel beautiful. Thank you Heather & Delish team! -

Thank you so much to Heather and Moana for walking up early and arriving to our hotel at 7am for bridal hair and makeup. I've never had my make up done and this was by far the most beautiful designs we could have asked for. All 5 of my bridesmaids were elated. I loved having these women as our artists I could not have gotten married without them -

Heather was so great to work with. She is a great communicator and worked with me to fit all the girls' services into our timeline for the wedding day. It was tight, but she helped us make it work! Heather set us up with Moana (hair) and Ren (make-up). Both girls were on time to our getting-ready-venue, and did such a wonderful job. The bridal party had so much fun, and loved how their looks turned out. Thank you so much to Heather, Moana, and Ren for pampering us on my sister in law's wedding day. You made it extra special! -

I actually flew her over to the Big Island after being disappointed by the lack of quality makeup artists there. She came to my hotel room and did such an amazing job. To top it all of, she is an absolute doll! Even the hotel wedding coordinator was asking for her information to give to other brides. Thanks Heather for making me look my best on the best day of my life! -

Jaymie Sent on 10/06/2011Heather "DELISH" did my hair and makeup for my wedding. I HIGHLY recommend her! She is AAAAMAZING! Because we had a destination wedding, and I only arrived 2 days before the wedding, i was crunched for time so i was unable to meet for a trial (which I was very nervous for). But, I hoped and prayed that everything would turn out well, and it DID! The hairstyle i wanted looked exactly how i wanted (i had a picture) and the makeup was FLAWLESS. and to top it off, she was very very sweet! She clicked very well with myself and my bridesmaids. She was also kind enough to fit my matron of honor in for her hair and makeup (even though we didn't make an appointment for her, luckily there was more than enough time)
DELISH was amazing, she made me feel and look beautiful on the most special day of my life! thank you sooo much!
