We hired Decades for our daughter’s wedding banquet on 10/10/22! They’re EPIC !!!
As a native SF, I chair countless galas in The City from the SF symphony , SF ballet to organizations such as Dress For Success and Red Cross. The attendance for these major galas range from 300 to 10,000 plus. Entertainment is utmost important to keep our guests happy and wanting to return again for good times which is vital to support the cause.
For our daughter’s wedding…we had four days of festivities to celebrate her marriage and our gaining a new son!
Wedding Fete’ climaxed with a FUN but traditionally modern Chinese Banquet of 350 guests.
DECADES ROCKED the HOUSE! From the start communication with Billy was incredibly easy ! He not only listened sincerely and with consideration, he was key in providing input to enhance the day. Contract was EASY and clear. No extra jargon bleh bleh but straightforward — like Billy. The band came to the venue early for set up. Each person was not only amazingly nice, well mannered but also very professional.
When it came time for MUSIC… MAN OH MAN!
They played beautiful background music setting wonderful mood for all the dinner guests. The genre switched right after dinner to dance music! From the toddlers to 90 year olds, EVERYONE GOT UP to dance! Seats were empty with bodies all moving on the dance floor. By 12 midnight, we were gently getting scooted out by the venue! Nobody wanted to go home and it was extremely difficult to get them out the door because the music was THAT GOOD! People couldn’t get enough of DECADES! They still wanted to

Run don’t walk to get them in contract for your event! They are surreal! -

Decades was absolutely incredible at our wedding. From the very first song to the final encore, they kept the energy high and the dance floor packed all night long. Their setlist was perfectly curated—every song felt like a hit, and guests of all ages couldn’t stop dancing. We’ve been to plenty of weddings with DJs where the energy fell flat at times, but Decades was on a completely different level. The live music made all the difference—they knew exactly how to read the room and keep the momentum going. Beyond being insanely talented musicians, they were professional, engaging, and clearly experienced. So many of our guests commented on how amazing the band was and asked where we found them. If you want a wedding dance floor that never empties, Decades is the band to book. -

My daughter knew she wanted to have her wedding in Sep., there were a few weekends that would work for the venue and some were more convenient for some family but when she found out that only a specific date worked for the band she wanted, that was the date. At the time I thought that was pretty crazy, but hey, it's her Wedding!
I was, 100%, absolutely wrong.
This band is worth moving your wedding date for. They are worth designing a party around. Seriously, if you're debating whether or not you should hire them, hire them. We have literally talked about how we will figure out when they are free, hire them, and then figure out what we're celebrating! 😁
They sound amazing, even during warm ups I was imprrssed and the night improved with every song they played and O M G can they play!
The singer is spectacular, each and every member of the band was superb and on top of all of that they had an incredible vibe and CLEARLY got more and more amped up as we did!!
It was an amazing day and would have been even without this incredible group, but with them? Best wedding I've ever attended, including my own 😂 We WILL find a way to get them for another event. ❤️❤️

The best decision we made for our wedding was hiring Decades. I first experienced them at a 300-person wedding where I only knew my now husband, and I stayed on the dance floor late into the night with total strangers because the energy was that good. From that moment, I knew I had to have them at our wedding, and we even changed our wedding date to make sure the lead singer could be there. They were the part of the day I was most excited for, and they somehow exceeded every expectation. Nearly six months later, people still come up to us saying it was the best wedding band they’ve ever seen and asking for their contact info. When our timeline ran late, they graciously played an extra 30 minutes and skipped their intermission just to keep the party going, which meant everything to us. I have already thought of multiple future events where I would hire them again without hesitation. If you are even considering live music, stop searching and book Decades. -

Best part of my wedding besides the getting married part
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Five Stars!
We hired Decades to play at our wedding and they were absolutely amazing. We were super picky with our music and didn’t want the typical “wedding playlist,” and they completely nailed it. Their repertoire was so refreshing, and they followed our song list almost exactly — it felt so personalized.
The MC kept the energy high all night, the vocals and instruments were incredible, and the whole experience was just fun. Our guests are still talking about how good the band was, and I’ve already recommended them to a few friends.
Highly, highly recommend. We can’t wait to hire them again for another occasion! -

We knew we wanted two things at our wedding: 1) good food 2) good music. The decades came highly recommended and we ended up booking them not just for our reception but our ceremony too. We breathed easy knowing that the ceremony music/audio would go off without a hitch and it wasn't just us who were relaxed - our wedding planner was too! She knew the caliber of the Decade's professionalism and as a bride I felt very relaxed knowing everyone was at ease. Because they are so busy with gigs, details don't get finalized until a few weeks out from your date - this is unusual as most vendors want details so early. Don't worry though, the Decades will most certainly show up for you and bring down the house. Our guests loved the music and the vibe and the dance floor was not big enough! -

The Best You'll Ever Get!
The Decades Official made our wedding! They do it all!! You don't have to worry about a thing. Have a diverse crowd? Garth Brooks? YES! Naughty by Nature? YES! Beatles? OF COURSE! The acoustic guitar for our ceremony was exquisite. Everyone will be dancing from 4 to 84! And they'll all be smiling and laughing having the time of their lives. Everyone left our wedding kicking and screaming. No one wanted it to end. We haven't stopped smiling thinking about our day. Hire them! You won't regret it ever! We should not even need to write this review. If you don't believe this review, find anyone who has seen a show! They're the absolute best! -

There. Are. No. Words. And that’s humiliating because I’m a lawyer so basically only know how to do words and STILL have no words. Everyone, including the deacon who married us and my cousin’s headphone-wearing-10-month-old could NOT leave the party till 11:00 hard shutdown because the music was THAT GOOD.
At various points I just kind of ignored by husband of 45 minutes and just stared at all the musicians one at a time to absorb the UNSPEAKABLE talent as they went from BANGER to BANGER to BANGER to BANGER. At no point did I wish there was a different pace of music- I was dancing so hard in 102° heat that I poured a bottle of water inside my wedding dress just so i could dance longer. Like, feral.
AND FLEXIBILITY!!!??????!!!! OH MY GAWD. The BAND AND MY FAMILY PUT TOGETHER SURPRISES FOR ME throughout my wedding- during the speeches, my dad started singing a song, with my sister in law playing piano- because the decades were kind enough to let her borrow the mic and keys. THEN, my other sister in law sang our first dance song she wrote, borrowing a guitar from the decades because they were THAT KIND. THEN, they performed the mother daughter and father son songs live, that they learned just for us. LASTLY- my brother took the stage to guitar solo Tennessee whiskey WITH the band, because they were chill enough to jam together- and it BROKE MY BRAIN. Like. WHAT!!!????
My wedding vision was “Nashville in NorCal” and DID IT DELIVER. If you want a fun wedding, and hire the Decades, like, you did it. It’s over. You’re done.

I’m thrilled to post about the amazing band that was the highlight of our wedding. They are called Decades and are a total hidden gem!
For those of you who are interested in live music and are intimidated by the cost or for those of you who prioritize entertainment and guest experience, this band is for you. They totally stole the show and got all ages on the dance floor, including the more reserved/shy folks. From Sweet Caroline to Pink Pony Club and Don’t Stop Believin’ to Espresso, they played something for everyone. I was so impressed with their performance as were our guests. A ton of people told me how much they loved the band - It was by far the biggest compliment we received!
Our wedding was 4pm to 10pm - The band arrived at 11:30am to set up (they were early), along with their sound engineer and equipment. They provided audio for the ceremony, cocktail hour & reception as well as the MC, who was fantastic. Super professional and lovely people. Highly recommend. Also, compared with the quotes I got from other live bands, they were significantly more affordable. They could easily have charged double what I paid. Hire this band for an unforgettable wedding celebration!!! -

When it comes to live music, no one compares to Decades! They are a guaranteed good time and will bring all the energy and talent to your wedding! We are fortunate enough to have had them play for a previous party we hosted, so they were our FIRST call when we got engaged : ) Our guests still can't stop talking about how incredible they are and what a good time they had on the dance floor. Billy and the band are professional, fun, flexible, and were great communicators through the entire planning process. Their set list is extensive with songs that all your guests will recognize and love, from your grandparents to neighbors to rowdy college friends : ) Having Decades perform was truly a highlight of our wedding and something we would do over and over again! -

This band goes beyond amazing vocals, instruments and entertainment - they are attentive to the guests and they are well prepared ahead of the event with an organized process for verifying the site logistics and client preferences. As a planner I have worked with many bands and entertainment groups, I really appreciate that Decades is intuitive and flexible with adjustments that naturally happen with live events. Billy is a great emcee and will also play recorded songs according to the couple's playlist before the band set begins. This is such a value add! Their equipment and sound quality is top notch, there is truly no genre they haven't mastered! If you are on the fence about live music, trust me your dance floor will be packed and the party will go all the way until the encore. -

As a wedding planner, I have high standards for vendors I recommend to my clients. The Decades are a go to for my clients looking for a dynamic, UBER talented, and super fun live music option. Most recently, Decades were the entertainment at a 280 person wedding we did. The weather took a turn, and the band communicated well, showed up ready for anything, and continued to move forward despite the rainy weather. Their commitment to professionalism, not only made the day run smoothly, but in the end, they exceeded the clients expectations. -

The show was simple to book and they worked in some of our needs very easily. They were punctual and got their equipment set up quickly and efficiently. Of course the show was amazing. How many weddings have you been to where the bride and her sisters crowd surfed? Well it happened at ours with Decades!!! While Decades can't promise the physical strength to lift anyone, they'll certainly set the dance floor off to get you there!!! We first saw them perform at a friend's wedding and HAD TO HAVE THEM at ours. They just killed it. Not a single person left the party without mentioning how much fun they had dancing. I loved how included every guest felt- young and old and non-Americans too!! INCREDIBLE... Jennifer the lead singer's voice is.... WOW!!! We were also so impressed that their sound person was moving around the room making sure everything was spot on acoustically. It is clear that they all LOVE to perform, they care about their craft deeply, and they know how to get people moving. So wonderful, we couldn't have been happier! -

Decades are an outstanding band and played a big part in making our wedding memorable. They performed acoustic guitar for our ceremony and then a two-hour set of songs to dance to at our reception. The dance floor was packed all night (moreso than I have ever seen at a wedding!) and tens of guests commented to us on how great the band had been. They sounded amazing with every song, have a broad catalogue and played every one of the 30-ish songs we requested. They were very friendly people and Billy (manager and drummer) is an excellent communicator, who was flexible in arranging sound (microphones, speakers) for our ceremony in a remote location, as well as coordinating smoothly with our reception venue. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Decades to anyone. -

Stop Thinking and Book Decades Now!
Wow, I cannot recommend Decades enough!! One of our main desires for our wedding was a band that gets everyone dancing on the floor and they did that and then some! Everyone we've talked to so far said that Decades were a highlight of a tremendous weekend, and seeing their ability to get ALL ages (3 - 85) dancing for the entire setlist was incredible. Everything from oldies, wedding classics, pop-punk, and a few individual requests had the energy high for the hours they were on. Better yet, they also provided fantastic ceremony live acoustic guitar for my wife's walk down the aisle (thank you for learning Old Pine, it was more beautiful than I saw in my head), great cocktail/dinner playlist, and a fun interactive MC to keep the party moving and guests in the correct spots at the correct times! They were even willing to accommodate (and practice with!) a request for one of the bridesmaids who signs part-time to join the band to sign our First Dance! Even before the wedding, they are so communicative from the start of inquiry through the months it takes to get to the ceremony (a big relief when dealing with the inevitable vendors who don't until only the week of) and wanting to work with you to give you the perfect day, and boy do they deliver! If I were to do it all over again, the first thing I would do is sign Decades!! They are THAT good! -

Braved the Storm and Kept the Party Alive
The Decades Band was definitely a highlight of the our wedding day! I heard from multiple people who were at the wedding how incredible the band was. They were so professional and were at the venue busy setting up all day. The whole wedding party enjoyed hearing the band warm up throughout the morning - it added another level of anticipation and excitement.
We couldn't have predicted a downpour on our wedding day in May - but it happened. They were such good sports about the rain and played until the very end. Since the ceremony ended in a shower of hail, after the cake was served I thought that the party was going to be over but the band drew an audience and we had more than a few people stay to the end of the night.
I would also like to say, my flower girl came to inform me that dancing to the band was the best and I should come and join her. In my experience, pleasing a six year old can be more challenging than a room full of adults - so cheers to Decades! -

Band made the wedding!
We had Decades for our wedding and they were fantastic! The music was excellent, and made the wedding so much fun. The band learned a song for the wedding as part of the contract! This made our wedding more special for us. I would highly recommend Decades to anyone who wants an awesome wedding reception!

The Decades! Best Decision EVER
The Decades were THE perfect choice for our wedding! I'll start by saying they made it really hard to end the night because we were having so much fun!! Their energy, talent and how they jammed really made our day special and intimate! I am not kidding when I say, all of our guests made it to the dance floor at some point. One of my favorite lines from one of our guests was that she was so happy because she was able to dance with her husband for the first time in years because he only dances to GOOD live music!!
Billy made the the whole process easy! He was easy to communicate with and we were at ease leading up to the day because of how professional he and the band are! Billy was also our MC and he worked really well with our planner to make sure we stayed on schedule. Overall the band made the night unforgettable! Highly recommend them and cant wait for another event to have them at! -

Hiring Decades was one of the best decisions we made and ended up being one of our favorite things about our wedding! If you want amazing live music and your guests on the dance floor all night, look no further!! Decades was the perfect addition to our wedding in Olympic Valley. We loved working with Billy who took care of all the details, killed it on the drums and was the best MC! Will also played guitar for our ceremony which was really special. We chose the Oh, What a Night Package which included the band learning a song of our choice which turned out so good. Our guests all raved about how Decades was the best wedding band they had ever heard. If you're looking for a great wedding band, we can't emphasis enough how much we recommend Decades! -

Decades absolutely crushed it!
Where do I begin? Decades was the absolute perfect band for our wedding in Ben Lomond, CA.
They were so professional throughout the whole process and they allow you to really customize your show. They allowed us to pick the entire setlist for the reception and Billy was the best MC we could possibly ask for. Ever since the wedding, all our guests keep telling us how much they loved dancing and singing along with the band. They even learned a new song for us that really brought down the house!
I would absolutely recommend Decades for any wedding, party, or event you have where you want people to have a great time. -

I found Decades on the internet when I was looking for a band to play my wedding in September 2022. After listening to some of their clips online and reading some reviews I decided to go with them. First off, the sound samples don't even do these guys justice they sound amazing. They cover such a wide array of music that any demographic at your wedding or event will be thrilled. Not only do they sound good, but their organization and professionalism is top notch, something you want during the planning stages of a wedding. -

Most Amazing Wedding Themed Anniversary Party Every, thanks to Decades!
We had a wedding them for our 10 year anniversary. 190 guests and at least half the women wore wedding dresses, guys suited up. I paint that picture because the backdrop of 40 women dancing to Decades through the night was amazing. I can't say enough about how great not only the music was, but how professional and amazing the band was. We had a last minute change to the stage, "not a problem" is what I got back. They rolled with it (we had a section missing). The set up, break down, everything was amazing.. It was like we had friends on stage that even pulled my wife up to dance on stage. Made her night. Thank you Decades for helping... nay..."making" the night as spectacular as it was. We would whole heartedly recommend for any friends wedding or party. -

Decades brought the house down!
Decades was AMAZING. My husband and I never wanted to leave the dance floor! Friends said they've never been to a wedding where the dance floor was so packed, EVERYONE was dancing! The energy they brought to our wedding was magical. They were a one stop shop and handled all the music / MCing for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing. Decades IS the band to have for your wedding. My husband I first heard Decades at friends wedding and we were BLOWN away. So we HAD to have them at our wedding and once again, they crushed it! Wow, where to start! We picked Decades because we are not the top 40 types, and really wanted a mix of songs from all decades at our wedding. We were able to select all the songs we wanted from their list and they absolutely knocked it out of the park! We also selected a song for them to learn (part of the package), "Mambo #5", and they were so excited to learn it as they had been wanting to for some time, that they let us pick another song to learn (we picked "Come on Eileen"). The whole evening was perfect, from the classical guitar prior to the ceremony to the late night dancing. They also let us create our own cocktail hour and dinner playlists on Spotify, which was great! Billy also spent time to find one of our requests for the band break, "Callin' Baton Rouge" by Garth Brooks, which was not on Spotify or Apple Music, but he searched until he found it on Amazon and made it happen.
Perhaps most importantly, the week before our wedding, our dear family friend and officiant (86 year old Holocaust survivor and amazing human being) was hit by a car - she was ok, but unable to attend the wedding in person. We worked closely with Billy during the week leading up to the wedding to come up with backup plans for the ceremony and he was incredibly patient and helpful. In the end, we ended up having a video we took of her earlier that day which needed to be played on a projector, and Billy coordinated the sound needs for us.
We cannot imagine a better band nor better communication, helpfulness, and genuine desire to make the evening perfect for us. If you are looking for a live band, look no further - Decades has to be the best! And if you are deciding between a live band and a DJ, go with a live band, if you are able to do so financially, and go with Decades =). -

Best Band Ever!
Decades was one of the best bands I've ever seen (wedding or professional) they were amazing to work with at our wedding at the Lodge at Pebble Beach. From start to finish the ease of communication and their flexibility made us feel like we never had to worry about the entertainment at our wedding. Their performance was nothing less than epic! Their music choice was always on point, they knew how to get the crowd dancing, and everything was perfect. Billy is an amazing MC and didn't miss a beat. I would give them 10 stars if possible, I could not have made a better choice for the wedding band! We've had so many compliments about how great the band was, and we could not agree more. I just can’t say enough good things about Decades!
First off, they were very easy to work with. My Dad handled all of the initial communication with Billy, the band's manager and drummer. He was quick to respond and happy to answer all of our questions. The band really worked with us and took the time to help us achieve our vision at an affordable price point. Their offering of a 5-piece dance band and 2-piece live ceremony music was just perfect for our 80 person wedding! From the moment they arrived on site, they were super friendly and so excited to be an integral part of our big day.
Their energy and sound is outstanding. I’m very skeptical of “wedding band” music, as it can often sound and feel cheesy, but every single one of the band members is so talented and really knew how to engage the room in an authentic way. We incorporated a wide range of music, 50’s to the 2000’s, and we had all age groups out on the dance floor (ages 2 to 91) the entire evening! Jen, the female lead singer, is a star in her own right. She really knows how to hit the money notes! The entire band was extremely accommodating to our needs/ requests and even happily welcomed my uncle on stage to sing a song with them! Billy’s emceeing talents are also excellent. He made all of our guests feel so welcome and his transitions from music to speeches were very smooth.
I’m so happy we booked Decades. They made our wedding day extra special and our friends & family can’t stop raving about them!

Decades were a highlight of our wedding, from planning to the main event. We initially contacted Decades back in 2019, and they stuck with us through a year postponement and a last-minute change of venue.
Billy was personable from the very first message. He helped walk us through the musical timeline of our entire wedding day, giving as much care and attention to detail as our wedding planner. Having worked with many bands, I can easily say that Decades is the most approachable and professional group I have experienced.
They played beautiful acoustic guitar music on our wedding day as the guests arrived at the venue. Every detail was perfect, from the timing of the music we chose for the ceremony to the house music playlist they arranged for us during cocktail hour and dinner.
When it came time for their main set, our wedding went from beautiful to legendary. Decades provide an energy that you can't replicate by playing recorded music.
Decades might as well call themselves "Genres" because they can play anything. From hip-hop to hard rock, and from classic Motown to modern hits, Decades plays every song at a world-class level.
I have lost count of all the guests who told me how much they loved Decades. Their down-to-earth vibe made everyone feel comfortable on the dancefloor.
Decades will bring your wedding to the next level. I cannot suggest them enough. Experienced, friendly, professional.

Decades was phenomenal. Their music and excitement just made you want to get up and dance. Guest danced until the end of the reception. Those that didn’t dance enjoyed just listening to the music. I had guest say that if you closed your eyes you would think it was the original artist. They learned, There goes my life by Kenny Chesney for me as a dedication to my daughter. Billy and the whole Decades team really helped our wedding reception feel special. All of our guests were raving about the varied setlist. Everyone was dancing - from 6 years old to 85 years old. Billy is super responsive over email, and we immediately felt comfortable chatting with him. Bill is a great emcee as well, keeping our reception flowing smoothly. 10/10 would recommend Decades for a wedding reception or live event! -

Decades was the best decision we made for our wedding and if you want to guarantee that you will have the best band of any wedding that ANY of your guests have ever been to, do yourself a favor and HIRE THEM. Our guests are still talking about how much fun they had on the dance floor because of the Decades. From the onset Billy was incredible to work with (totally flexible through our wedding postponement). They are total professionals, fun, and incredible musicians. From our ceremony with Will playing classical guitar to the reception where the instrumentals and vocals were UNREAL, everything was perfect. Not sure how these guys are just a cover band...they are so talented. I feel lucky that we somehow stumbled upon them and got lucky enough they agreed to do our wedding. We also loved their idea to give our best man/maid of honor speeches some walk up songs -- It was unique and so fun! When planning a wedding there are so many vendors to choose from and it's beyond stressful as you try to plan the perfect event. For me, having an great band was my top priority. I feel like that can make or break your wedding and guest experience. For that reason, I researched a TON. When I found Decades, listened to their stuff, and started talking with Billy I felt immediately that they were the perfect band for our wedding and they more than exceeded our expectations. I could honestly write forever about how great they are but I'll stop here and just tell you -- do yourself a favor and book them. You'll have an awesome party, your guests of all ages will be on the dance floor, and you won't want it to end (trust me, I pleaded with Billy to keep playing when our venue was ready to kick us out). Best vendor I booked and I would book them 10x over for any future event. -

Amazing Band!
The Decades had all of us dancing all night! They had amazing voices, great musicians, and were so fun! We enjoyed their set so much. Decades is a must hire for your wedding. Billy was so sweet from our very first interaction and I could tell he was going to be a great addition to our wedding. On our wedding night Decades ended up having to completely reset their equipment due to an unforeseen storm and they handled it with no complaints. They moved everything and started playing for us inside a barn while it was still raining. Their set was so good all of our guests decided to dance in the rain and didn’t stop for hours. I would hire Decades many times over, they were so easy to get in touch with, so flexible on the day of and their talent is out of this world. They made our entire wedding so memorable! -

We hired decades for our 280+ person wedding and everyone was raving about the entertainment days after. Billy and his crew were extremely helpful and professional throughout our planning process. They took care of practically everything; ceremony music, cocktail hour, even intro music for those who were giving speeches, not to mention their amazing performance all night. After their performance their AV homie helped us connect our karaoke setup we had for the remainder of the night. Everyone was truly so incredible, we hope to have more events in the future and would love to have Decades out at our ranch any time! -

DECADES made our wedding unforgettable! They learned our first dance song and our jaws literally dropped when they started playing and we didn’t leave the dance floor until our special request of Piano Man at the end of the night! We can’t thank the decades enough! Our wedding was exactly what we imagine. From our ceremony, to cocktail hours entertainment, to our first dance sang by Jen (at last) and our reception entertainment and the end encore song they played (even tho we had to shut the party down)! Decades made a huge, huge, huge, huge part in that!! We can’t thank them enough for everything! Everyone had so so so much fun listening to Decades band! Best. Wedding. Band. Ever!
It's impossible for me to recommend Decades strongly enough. They played our wedding reception of about 150 people and also handled music, sound, mics, etc. for the ceremony and were TOTAL PROS the entire time.
For the ceremony, they had everything set up well ahead of time and made it super easy for us and our officiant to use the mics. They played beautiful music leading up to the ceremony, and then transitioned flawlessly to our specifically requested songs. They even handled a couple of hiccups (not their own fault) and the audience was none the wiser!
And the reception - where to begin. Ben MC-ed the night and had such great energy, he made it really easy for everyone to have a great time. When they started playing, it was a blast! They're such talented musicians and performers, it was like our wedding turned into a concert. Everyone from our youngest cousins to our oldest relatives got out on the dance floor, and we got so many comments about how much our guests loved the band, but we already knew that just from looking at the dance floor!
Overall, Decades are the perfect wedding band. When it comes time to party, they bring it like nobody else, but they do it all like complete pros and made our wedding so much fun and so easy, too. 10/10, would recommend. -

We saw Decades play last year at a friends wedding in Chico, CA and they were phenomenal. We ended up booking them for our wedding in Redondo Beach, CA a few weeks ago, and once again they did not disappoint. They made the entire process leading up to the wedding stress free. They helped us with song choices and made the entire thing painless. They gave us songs to look through and then we could choose if wanted any special songs or if there were any songs we didn’t want played. They told us that they typically “feel the crowd” when determining what songs to play and that’s exactly what they did. They had songs for all age groups and they even learned our first dance song to play live at the wedding! They were always available to help and answer questions leading up to our big day. Would strongly recommend them, they were definitely a huge hit at our wedding and kept the party going all evening!

If we could rate this band any higher we would! After going to multiple performances booking this band was the one of best decisions we made during planning. The band was very welcoming and energetic and there was no part of the evening where the dance floor was not packed! Ben did a great job as the MC, we opted for Will to cover our ceremony with acoustic guitar and had the band learn our first dance song (crushed it BTW). Decades band is absolutely phenomenal. The band is courteous, professional, and most importantly sound amazing. Looking back on our wedding day, my wife and I agree that the experience Decades provided was worth way more than the money we spent. We hired Decades to play our wedding at Park Winters in October 2018. It was important to us to have a live band to keep the energy up. Decades far exceeded our expectations. We had many guests remark that they were the best wedding band they had ever heard. Their vocals and music were perfect!
The band let us use their microphone and speaker for the ceremony and speeches during dinner. Ben, in the band, did a perfect job of MC'ing the event, doing our grand entrance, introducing speeches, cake cutting, etc. And the music was just perfect! I personally danced to every single song. It was a blast!
We highly recommend Decades for any wedding or event! -

Through out the planning of our wedding, I sent many emails as I am an overly detailed kind of person, and every email was met with a quick, understanding, and thoughtful response. They learned our first dance song "Perfect" by Ed Sheeran and Beyonce, and it was incredible! They kept the party going for hours at our wedding. People are still talking about how epic our wedding was. I had the absolute time of my life, and it was thanks to the Decades. We love the Decades!

Alexi Sent on 09/07/2018In our search for the perfect wedding band, we went and saw a handful of bands live at various gigs. We saw one in downtown San Francisco at a hip bar, but the left us cold. Another at a bowling alley (sometimes bands play strange venues,) was better, but not super exciting. We were starting to lose hope. To be honest, my hopes weren't super high on the drive to Chico, CA to see Decades, playing at an Elk's Lodge fundraiser. But when we got there, they were super kind to us, let us sit at their "staff" table, and when they played they were AMAZING! So much fun. The entire place, from 80 year olds down to 5 year olds, were dancing every song. Including us! And I'm not an easy person to get dancing.
At our wedding, they MC'd the event perfectly and with class. We were crossing our fingers that the reception would have the same oomph as the show we saw before, and were not disappointed. They killed it again! Everyone was up and dancing for almost every song. It was so much fun, and really brought everyone together.
If that weren't enough, they even learned some Greek and Jewish klezmer songs to play with a musician friend of ours. I don't know how a band could make a better wedding.
Seriously, I can't stress how awesome they are, but I guess I'll have to shut up about it now :) If you're looking for a band, make sure to at least go see one of their shows. You'll have a great time. -

Mallory Sent on 03/23/2018Choosing Decades as our band was absolutely one of the best (if not THE best) decisions we made when choosing our wedding vendors! It was so important to us that we got to ENJOY our own wedding celebration and soak it all in, so we knew going into it that Decades was the only band we wanted. They bring the PARTY. My husband and I were able to let loose, and danced the night away together, along with all of our closest family and friends. Decades made this night so special for us, and we will never forget it! Our crowd couldn't get enough (some who are very familiar superfans already, and some who were hearing the band play for the first time), and I'm telling you I have never been at a wedding where the dance floor was so packed and NOT ready to leave at the end of the night! I mean, they got my groom to crowd surf for crying out loud! Not only were they SO much fun, but they were so accommodating and easy to work with as well. In addition to performing their tails off, they were extremely professional, showed up early, and set up the audio equipment for the ceremony and reception. They did all of this while basically acting as the "right hand man" for our wedding coordinator, making sure the evening flowed perfectly. My husband and I truly can not say enough great things. Thank you guys so much again for everything! Can't wait to book you guys for the encore performance at our 10 year anniversary ;)

My husband and I worked hard to find a band that would please our guests and also meet our “coolness” standards as music aficionados — while also staying within a budget that we could afford for our ambitious DIY wedding in the Redwoods of Mendocino, Calif. We searched and listened through every band on Gigmasters, then when we settled on a few, I was pleasantly surprised to find out they were available and playing at a casino in Napa County. Their manager invited us to check them out. We still look back fondly on that night when we met the band for the first time. We hired them and 9 months later they made the faithful trek through the woods with all of their equipment to deliver an outstanding performance that our friends still talk about today. In fact, a few of them have tried to hire the band for their own weddings, but they’re not as lucky as my husband and I are. Book them today. You won’t regret it.

They were very responsive to our questions and even learned one new song for us (our first dance "Say You Won't Let Go" by James Arthur). They have a huge catalog of songs of all genres, and were more than willing to play a special request from me. Decades provided all of the equipment to play music during the ceremony, and even emceed the evening for us. Their energy and stage presence were so much fun, our guests kept commenting how much fun they had and how great the band was. For us, we want to get married again just so we can get Decades to perform for us again!

We discovered them at a winery in Lake County before my wife and I were even engaged and fell in love with them immediately. A few shows and a few years later, we called them up to see if they could perform at our wedding. Fantastic decision. The band's management was responsive and professional, making us feel very comfortable with our choice. They (Ben!) MC'd our wedding beautifully. They were very polite and respectful to all of our guests. When we needed to alter our wedding timeline dramatically due to emergency circumstances, the band didn't even blink. And all of this is second to their music. Decades can PERFORM. If you want a band to get your friends and family dancing on your big day regardless of age, taste in music, or even your guest's native language, you just found one. From reaching out to them for a quote to getting our playlists and song preferences set up, all the way to the last song of the night, Decades was nothing but excellent. -

Leading up to the wedding, Ben organized all music details, including walk-up music, introductions, and of course, the main entertainment. Wedding preparation can be a very stressful time for all parties involved, but the Decades ensured that all sound and requests were well prepared for. They even offered us the opportunity to request a "personal" song that they would learn and then play at the wedding. So many attendees came up to us during the reception and remarked on how amazing the band was. Cameryn and I were so happy to share one of our favorite bands with all the people that are so special in our lives. I would highly recommend the Decades to anyone wanting to make their special day even more memorable.

Cj Sent on 03/15/2018Decades made our Wedding the most special and fun night of our lives! To start, working with Ben was a joy. He was very helpful with picking out songs from their very extensive and impressive catalog. Every style of music is covered and they do a phenomenal job.
Day of was fantastic as well. Ben helped by coordinating music during the Ceremony and with announcements for Cocktail Hour, Dinner, Speeches, and Dessert. They also played for the Mother-Son Dance, we chose The Beatles- Blackbird, which was beautiful.
Once Decades started playing is when the party really started. You cannot compare having a Live Band to DJ Set, and these guys were amazing. Having a Live Band made the real difference. All 250 people at our wedding were on the dance floor, and didn't stop until the end. Decades was also fantastic at reading the energy of the crowd and adjusting accordingly.
I am so happy with our entire experience and would recommend Decades to anyone. Thank you very much! -

Mason Sent on 03/14/2018Booking a live band, especially for a wedding, can be a bit of a crapshoot. Unless you've seen and experienced them firsthand, there's really no telling what you're getting. And even then, maybe when you saw them live the first time, you were already a few deep and EVERYTHING was sounding awesome. That's why I insisted from the very get-go that Decades perform at our wedding - and I'm so glad I did! My wife and I were blown away by the quality, professionalism and flexibility of this band, as were the guests. Simply put, Decades brought down the house. EVERYONE danced and had a great time. To this day, whenever one of our guests brings up the subject of our wedding, the band is one of the first memories they conjure. And Ben was an epic Emcee!

Jennifer Sent on 03/14/2018When we thought Decades was not going to be available for our wedding date, we were ready to move the wedding. To put it simply, there is nothing like it.
Our venue actually came with a DJ included for the duration of the reception, but we were set on getting this band because we had been to several of their shows in the past. With their huge variety of songs, they get the crowd moving no matter the age of the audience (they tailor the set list to the crowd). All the members of the band are astonishing with their musical talents. They trade instruments all the time, every one of them can sing, and if you like, they even throw in some humor. It's quite a show.
Friends and family were raving about Decades for months, saying now they understand why we had been trying to get them to come to a show with us for so long. When we returned to our venue for a friend's wedding a month later, the bartenders remembered us as "the wedding that rocked the house."
Decades was absolutely the life of our reception. Videos don't do justice; you really need to get in to see them live. It was a very fast contract process with clear terms, they were very accommodating, and to top it off, they are such happy and big hearted people. It was a pleasure to have them at our wedding. -

They are not only great musicians and performers, they are also a treat to work with. This was one part of the wedding that was easy to plan for. If you want a great band, and a great experience, I highly recommend Decades. They were easily the best choice of our wedding (except for my bride, of course)! -
