Amazing photographer!!!

Deborah and her team were amazing!! We worked with her on our engagement photos and wedding day- she was great to work with throughout the year. She was extremely responsive and organized! The pictures turned out stunning and beautiful! I could’ve have asked for a better photographer, highly recommend!

Deborah K. O’Brien was our photographer for our wedding at the Lounsbury House in Ridgefield Connecticut, and we couldn’t have been happier with the job she did for us. We didn’t want the day to turn into a photoshoot that would force us to spend too much time away from our guests, but at the same time, we obviously wanted to have great pictures of our wedding. Deborah is a total professional who took fantastic pictures without taking us away from our guests. She even asked us beforehand what groups of guests we wanted pictures of, so that she could do that on her own during the reception. We are looking forward to picking out pictures for our album that was included in our package, so that we can look back on our wonderful day and share it with our family. We highly recommend Deborah to anyone who is looking to hire a great photographer!

Deborah took the best pictures of our small, improvised wedding ceremony at a historic venue. My favorite pictures of all time

Deborah was very communicative and professional. On our big day, while we were busy adjusting the last details, she came in and made sure we had nothing to worry about when it came to pictures. She found excellent outdoor spots to shoot and was really fun to work with. Great results that I will look at with joy for the rest of my life!

All we could have asked for

Deborah was totally prepared, and very accessible. Her photographs from the entire day were wonderful. She captured all the impromptu moments along with knowing exactly how to set up the portraits. I never had to look for her and her wonderful Assistant. They just always seemed to be there, without really noticing them. However, I would have loved for them to be guests at the wedding because they were so caring and fun.

Deborah was absolutely fantastic! We loved working with her and she made our day so memorable! Deborah was very easy to work with and her pricing is very reasonable. During the wedding day, Deborah and her assistant were very professional and took amazing photos! We loved the quality of the pictures, and we couldn't ask for a better photographer to work with! We also loved that we had 2 photographers and got high quality photos from 2 different perspectives. Also, Deborah turned around our photos in no time so we were able to show our family soon after our wedding! Our friends and family are so happy with how the photos turned out! Three October with Deborah!

Deborah is the absolute best! She worked with us for our engagement shoot (10/19) and was so flexible when we changed our formal wedding to a small backyard affair (10/20). We're excited to have her team back again next year to photograph our 1-year anniversary reception (10/21)! Deborah's photos are gorgeous and we got a sneak peek batch THE MORNING AFTER our wedding-- I was literally eating my brunch and fawning over photos from the night before. Love you, Deborah!

Fantastic experience

Deborah was extremely professional and flexible when our wedding plans had to change due to the novel coronavirus. We had a small (6 people) ceremony in our backyard. We also took photos at a local park. Deborah wore a mask and captured the event. The photos came out great! We will be able to treasure the memories forever.

Highly Recommend - Great Service & Great Pictures

Deborah was an absolute pleasure to work with. After my fiance and I had to cancel our original wedding we decided to have an intimate wedding in a different location in early October and Deborah was recommended to us by a friend. We could not have had a better experience. From our first phone call we knew that she would be easy to work with, and in an ever-changing environment with Covid it was clear she was thoughtful and willing to be flexible for us. On the day of our wedding she came in and got right to work and I did not have to worry about a thing! We used Deborah for our wedding and engagement photos. She was professional, easy to work with and the pictures came out wonderful. Amazing to work with!

Deborah was our photographer for our late September wedding a few weekends ago! I would highly recommend her to anyone looking! Deborah was extremely attentive and reliable. She had great suggestions throughout the entire wedding process and even the day of! We got married at Woodway Country Club which she knew very well. Deborah had great suggestions on where to photograph our bridal party. We were able to see roughly a dozen photos she edited the day after our wedding and they were amazing! We were extremely pleased with the work she did. She made the entire process seamless and she is so sweet to work with! Again, I would highly recommend her!

Exceeded our expectations - amazing photos!

Asking Deborah to be our wedding photographer was one of the best decisions we made. From our first meeting, Deborah was organized, professional and very easy-going in working with us. She made us feel comfortable and offered her suggestions while also taking into consideration the opinions of our families.
The day of the wedding, Deborah was on time and ready to capture all of the moments—from the little ones like getting the last fixes to my hair and veil to the “First Look” and all the way to the dancing at the reception. We had a long list of pictures of family and friends that we wanted to get and Deborah accommodated every wish and kept everything on time. She made everyone in the bridal party feel comfortable and at ease. Our photos show how relaxed and happy we all were.
We got to see a sneak peek of some of our photos, and we were blown away. I was hoping that we would have a few good pictures to choose from…I had no idea there would be so many AMAZING photos to choose from. They are all too fabulous to choose from. We could not be more thrilled with the photographs.
We highly recommend Deborah to be your wedding photographer. She will exceed your expectations and you will have beautiful photos to look at forever.

The perfect wedding album

My wife and I just got done putting our wedding album together and we couldn't be happier with the results! Deborah's photos were amazing and now we have those memories saved in time — forever! We couldn't ask for a better person to be with us on our special day and capture those memories.

Deborah is the photographer for any event!

Deborah photographed our wedding and was outstanding. We were looking for someone understated and professional and she delivered. She followed our lead with various group pictures and understood when to pull back or to encourage a special shot. Understanding today’s social-media driven world, she posted a bunch of pictures the very next day. They’re magnificent! We would whole heartedly recommend her.

Deborah was such a pleasure to work with! She did an amazing job on our engagement session and made us feel so comfortable. She did a great job editing them too and even printed up extra enlargements for us to display at our wedding! Deborah was so amazing at our wedding. She captured every detail so wonderfully. Our venue is tricky for pictures due to the fact that it does not have a lot of natural night, and the angles can be really difficult to shoot from. However, Deborah was very thorough in capturing the wedding. We got tons of compliments from our guests on how much of a joy she was throughout the whole night. She remained calm, and did not pressure us at all for certain photos throughout the night. She focused a lot on candids which really showed how much the guests enjoyed the wedding. She is very relaxed and flexible and I would definitely recommend her!!

Deborah was our wedding photographer on August 25th, 2018. It was an indoor/outdoor wedding. She is professional, friendly, and did an amazing job! Deborah knew exactly how and when to direct all of us for the most beautiful individual and group photos. She worked all the way through to the end without even taking a break! My husband and I had Deborah as our wedding photographer at Lounsbury House in Ridgefield, CT this past August. From the initial interview, engagement session to our wonderful wedding day, Deborah was always completely professional, warm and friendly. Deborah photographed my wedding in May 2017 in Ridgefield, CT. Deborah was amazing to work with! She spent time before the big day to get to know my fiancé and me and to understand what we were looking for. She has extensive experience at our venue - Keeler Tavern Museum - and was able to suggest great spots for pictures. She proactively confirmed all details with me as the day approached which I truly appreciated given everything I was trying to confirm. She was super prompt and accommodating during the wedding. She brought an assistant which was a great bonus as we had even more beautiful pictures to choose from. Both captured all of the images we wanted plus special moments we could not have planned for and details related to the venue and decor. We ordered and received prints from Deborah which were beautiful and professional. The prints arrived quickly. It was easy to share images with friends and family via her website inks. Deborah is great to work with and I highly recommend her.

My husband Greg and I are so happy that we chose Deborah to photograph our wedding this past July. . The quality of her work is beyond expectation. Deborah is professional and easy to work with. She took the time to get to know us during our engagement shoot, and helped us to feel comfortable posing together for the camera. She was easy to communicate with and always attentive to our needs.

My husband and I are so happy with the pictures Deborah took of our wedding and reception. She was friendly, courteous, and willing to work with everyone to get the best pictures possible. Deborah was the photographer for my wedding and did an absolutely amazing job. My wife and I loved how friendly and professional Deborah and her other photographer Kate were. Deborah accommodated our busy schedule to do an outstanding engagement photo session with us and the photos came out beautiful. I'm not really the one who's super into photo's but my wife and mother in law gushed over the beautiful pictures that were taken. Deborah has an eye for great shots as she helped make even me look good. She definitely knows what shots will work and which ones do not.

Our wedding photos were fantastic and we've already had all of our friends and relatives comment to us how amazing the pictures came out. I have got to let everyone know what an amazing person Deborah O'Brien is! My husband and I got married on August 14th, 2016, and the day just before our wedding, the photographer we had hired cancelled on us because of a family emergency! After panicking and having a mild heart attack, I remembered receiving promotional emails from Deborah and contacted her. I figured it would be a long shot getting a photographer less than 24 hours before the wedding and although she was away on vacation, she responded to my panicked emails and voice mails immediately and completely pulled through for us! When I made that panicked call to her, even though it was the first time we had spoken, she spoke to me as if we were friends for years and promised me that everything would be ok. In a matter of a half an hour, she had a photographer booked for us and kept her promise, everything was ok! I was so relieved! Her photographer Charlene arrived early, spent the whole day with us, and took beautiful pictures! She was non intrusive, respected our personal preferences for what we wanted, and after a bit it felt as if she was also a guest at our wedding celebrating with us! It was a blessing that our original photographer cancelled! I highly recommend Deborah!

From our first meeting for our engagement shoot to our last picture at our wedding( July 9,2016) Deborah was amazing! Deborah was professional, great with our guests, and captured everything we wanted at the wedding. The morning of our wedding Deborah got there early and really captured the excitement of getting ready with my family and bridal party. Deborah ended up staying throughout the whole reception, and even took pictures as she was leaving. With in 3 days of our wedding, Deborah already had some pictures edited and sent to us. We just received all of our edited photos less than 3 weeks after our wedding. Deborah was amazing to work with, and my husband and I are so happy she was there to capture the night!!

We couldn't have asked for a better, more detail oriented photographer! From our first meeting over a year ago til our last shot a month ago, Deborah has been amazing. We had her shoot our engagement session at Elizabeth Park and Trinity. She was so enthusiastic, excited and very experienced with lighting and shadowing. We were very happy with how the pictures turned out, we couldn't wait to see how she would shoot the wedding. At the wedding she was there from the minute I stepped out of the limo to the minute the last guest left. She took the traditional shots, candid shots, detailed shots and every shot in between. She was right there when someone else was taking a picture of a couple or group. We can definitely say that our wedding was well documented and Deborah totally exceeded our expectations. Deborah was very warm , professional and very reassuring. We decided immediately to hire her company to photograph our wedding. My family is scattered around the globe and my Husband's around the USA. As ar result, we don't see each other often. Deborah did an awesome job with my wedding pictures! She got all of the pictures I wanted, and they were all quality photos fit for my album. When she sent me samples from the favorites I picked, she included some in black and white and some in different sizes. The website she uses made it really easy to go through 700+ photos. She sent 200 samples for me to pick my photo album pictures. I picked out 57 photos for my album, and I am getting 5x7 enlargements and 8x10 enlargements with the package I picked. She took some great candids too! I highly recommend using her services.

Let me start of by saying my wedding was two days ago and after seeing only some of the pictures I had to write this review! Deborah is not only professional, kind and a pleasure to work with, her pictures exceeded my expectations. ..which is not easy to do! On your special day you will feel so amazing that days after you will want nothing more but to see pictures and relive that day! I can't tell you how many times friends of mine wished they didn't see their pictures because in their heads it was better...well for me I can say Deborah captured the best day of my life in the best way I could have hoped for. She was calming and reassuring for a nervous bride. She was so patient and pleasant with all the guests' "suggestions" for shots. She was wonderful to deal with. When setting up shots she was great; she did not order us around like you hear some wedding photographers do. She wanted to take the photos that we wanted her to take. She was careful to check with us before she left to be sure there wasn't anything else we wanted her to take before she left. The photos are beautiful. Our wedding was 9/22/12 in CT. Working with Deborah was truly a joy. With all the stress that a wedding day can bring she really made things easy. She was very professional and easy to work with. She knew exactly when to get the best shots during the ceremony and was very creative with angles and poses. We had given her groups of people and scenarios of pictures we wanted throughout the day, and she was able to capture all of them. We ended up with so many choices, and different colors of pictures to choose from. Deborah really met all of our needs and made our day extra special! Working with Deborah was a wonderful experience. She was both highly professional and flexible all at once. She scouted out the wedding site prior to the actual date to plan where she would shoot and to anticipate the available light. She shot amazing engagement photos and the photos from the wedding were superb. Her portrait shots are a particular strength. At all times she was a delightful combination of efficiency yet relatedness- she made everyone feel comfortable while at the same time being completely un-intrusive into the event. I recommend her most highly and work with her again in an instant.

Deborah O'Brien is a consummate professional and makes you feel relaxed throughout your wedding day. She gets the shots you want while you are enjoying your celebration. She is calm and easy to work with. Great mix of candids and formals. Has great suggestions and definitely would recommend her to anyone!

I’m so happy I chose Deb O’Brien as our wedding photographer. She is truly an amazing photographer and a wonderful person to work with! One could not ask for a more professional and personable wedding photographer than Deborah O'Brien! While staging natural and poised group shots with exquisite care and design, we never felt "ordered around" or stiff with discomfort. Deborah was like a very talented friend in the wings-- capturing impromptu moments that were magical in retrospect and finding some way to always create gorgeous images, no matter what the lighting or challenge.

She gracefully, graciously shot dozens of family portraits to maximize the chances that everyone looked their best and she listened carefully to all our suggestions and concerns since it was a second marriage. Both black and white and color shots were crisp, vivid and breathtaking. Always courteous, punctual, and joyful, she contributed to the overall tone of the wedding in this amazing, yet always inobtrusive way. Recommending her highly is as easy as accepting my husband's proposal-- a unequivocable resounding yes, is all I can say!

Deborah was great, her personality was just what I needed on our big day! She was able to work with us and our budget to give us what we needed without things we didn't. I really appreciated her ability to adjust her times and work with what we could afford, it truly made the process less stressful for us! Our photos are phenomenal they are so beautiful, we had so many to choose from that it is still hard to pick which ones to frame!! The lighting changed as we were wrapping up and I am so glad she insisted on a few more pictures as they came out amazingly. She was great at getting all the photos I wrote on my list of "must haves" and was able to utilize our cocktail hour to capture all of our family so we could all just enjoy the reception. Thank you for everything!

Deborah O’Brien was our photographer for a summer wedding. She was attentive to details that we had not even considered. She was patient and gentle spirited through all interactions. She asked questions that helped us make later decisions, which we found very helpful. She showed interest in knowing what it was that would make this day especially wonderful for us. On the day of the wedding, she was calm and focused. She had asked us to prepare a list of all persons we wanted photographed which she thoughtfully attended to. She was creative in setting the scene as backdrop for our portrait pictures. Her candid pictures were fabulous. She made excellent use of light and camera angle so as to maximize the outcome. I will say as an older bride that she minimized any signs of my aging, which certainly made me smile as I looked back on the day. She was so willing to help us with any question or concern and it was noteworthy that I found her to always go the extra distance in her desire to make us happy with her service. She took so many beautiful pictures that we are challenged to limit our selection for our wedding album. I would highly recommend this photographer.

I didn't know Deb until my fiancee introduced me to her. She was a wonderful addition to the wedding and made the evening flow so smoothly. She took phenomenal photos and we barely knew she was taking pictures. She has been so easy and helpful to work with during the entire process. Deb had wonderful suggestions for composition of photos and came up with very playful and memorable moments. We would highly recommend her.

It was a complete pleasure working with Deborah O'Brien. She was always available for questions both before and after the ceremony. She took 800+ exposures over a 5+ hour wedding, including both beautifully posed formal shots and outstanding candid shots; at no time, however, was she ever intrusive or in the way. We are still assembling the photos for inclusion in our album, which is difficult because there are so many lovely photos. I am a very experienced amateur photographer, and I have to say that her creative use of lighting and framing is many notches above what one ordinarily sees from professional photographers.
