The Absolute Best - Beautiful Flowers & Wonderful People!!

We were completely blown away by Alla and her whole team at Debbie’s Designs. From the initial introduction call to the day of our wedding, she was highly professional, attentive, and on top of every detail. Alla ensured our day was picture perfect, we have never seen more beautiful flowers. She went above and beyond anything we could have imagined. Alla’s care for her clients is evident in every interaction with her, and it was such a joy to work with her and her team.

In addition to our wedding flowers, Alla created our reception floor plan, provided the gorgeous mirrored long tables, and engineered the room lighting and ceiling projections (the moon & stars projection had our guests in awe!). She also provided our table florals for my bridal shower - which she coordinated while on a family vacation in Italy! She took our general ideas & broad vision for the day and created a masterpiece for us. Alla is absolutely the best. We cannot thank her & her team enough!!

Alla and the whole team at Debbie's Designs were amazing! They helped me through the whole process. They not only selected the most beautiful florals for our wedding but they did pipe and drape, covered a dance floor, brought in a special sweetheart table, and 48 hours before the wedding figured out how to elegantly block a tent! The room they created for us made our special day even more meaningful to us. We cannot thank them enough! What they do is truly art. Hire them!!!!

Magnificent and Magical

Alla and her staff at Debbie's Designs nailed my daughter's vision at her wedding on 8/24/24 at The Maplewood Country Club. When we met with Alla the first time during a zoom call, she was very professional and organized. We had met with others before and after her and I knew I wanted to go with Debbie's Designs. The confidence we had in Alla and her social media pictures really helped us make our decision. She worked with us to meet our budget without sacrificing our dream. The unique arrangements that she offered to us for the centerpieces helped seal the deal.
We made many tweaks along the way and Alla was very patient with us and accommodating . In the end, Alla and her team nailed the chuppah, the hallway arrangement , the bouquets and the bride's bouquet. I liked her so much I have already booked her for next August at my other daughter's wedding. As you can see from the pictures it was magnificent. I highly recommend Debbie's Designs for your event .

The Most Incredible Florist - Debbie's Designs

The Debbie's Designs team created the most stunning floral arrangements for my wedding this past weekend. They went above and beyond to make all my floral dreams come true. From the ceremony space to the reception to every bathroom, table, and floor, the flowers were executed with such taste and arranged beautifully. Alla and Orhan were unbelievable to work with. Their communication was fantastic and they made me feel so special. I am forever grateful to the Debbie's Designs team for making me the happiest bride!

WOW!! Debbie’s Designs is truly exceptional. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. Alla and her team are fantastic, professional, talented, kind, creative, and truly the total package. They went above and beyond for us to make sure our wedding day was perfect, personal, and curated to our taste. Alla communicated with us openly and honestly throughout the process - it was obvious how much she cared about making things perfect and making sure we were completely satisfied everything. Her experience, knowledge, and creativity speaks for itself and is evident in everything she does.

The entire team is incredibly talented - they take a vision and absolutely run with it. They exceeded all expectations. Not to mention, they were so easy to work with, beyond accommodating, flexible, responsive, adaptable, and open minded. From our initial meeting, I knew that we were in good hands.

Our guests were amazed with the table scapes, florals, candelabras, chuppah, seating chart, bouquets, etc. Debbie’s Designs knows how to deliver the “wow factor” and you can see the effort and attention to detail that is put forth by their team. From the sourcing the most beautiful and fresh flowers to constructing custom mirror top tables with extensions to fit our needs - there is no task or ask too big for their team to handle.

Our wedding day would not have been the same without the Debbie’s Designs team. They delivered and executed everything perfectly - from the initial design process to our wedding day. We love Debbie’s Designs and feel so lucky to have had such a powerhouse team be a part of our day.

Amazing experience

Ryan and I want to express our deepest gratitude and share our heartfelt appreciation for the exceptional work done for our wedding in September by the best wedding florist, Debbie’s Designs Team. We had the absolute pleasure with working with Alla, who was such a pleasure to work with. She understood our vision perfectly and brought it to life with blooms that left everyone in awe. All of the floral arrangements were a true masterpiece - from the bridal bouquet, my bride’s staircase, bridesmaid’s bouquets, flower girls headpieces, my now husband’s boutonnière, groomsmen’s boutonnières, floral arrangements at the church, intricate and stunning table centerpieces, our table card arrangements, to our sweetheart table floral pieces - I can go on and on! Gorgeous florals and decor

We used Debbie’s for both of our daughter’s weddings and they created the most gorgeous florals and decor. Absolutely Magical!

Debbie’s Designs absolutely blew us away with our flowers and wedding decor. Working with Alla was such a pleasure. She and her team listened to our ideas and brought them to life in ways that went above and beyond our expectations. The vibe we envisioned was that of a romantic fairytale and Debbie’s Designs delivered with dramatic candelabras, warm lighting and lush colors.

I was in awe of my stunning bouquet (after the wedding I sent it off to be preserved in resin and I am so excited that I will be able to cherish these flowers forever). We asked for pocket boutonnieres for the guys. Not only did they turn out classy and beautiful but the fact that no one had to struggle pinning on a boutonniere that would eventually go askew just helped the day go even smoother.

All in all, we were speechless when we saw how everything came together on our big day. Our wedding was magical and I owe the beauty of the day to Debbie’s Designs.

The most BEAUTIFUL wedding flowers!

We were referred to Debbie’s Designs through a friend right in the middle of Covid. We set up a zoom meeting with Alla and Orhan, and immediately felt like we knew them for years. They made us feel so comfortable, showed us so many ideas, got to know us and brought our vision to life. Over the course of two years, they have been in constant contact with us and the week of the wedding, we met via zoom to discuss the final details. Two days before our wedding, their assistant FaceTimed us with the final product. When I saw we were blown away, we literally were. I was brought to tears with how beautiful the flowers were. It wasn’t just the flowers. It was the fact that each little detail was brought out by the Debbie’s team. Seeing the flowers in person was even better. They were so colorful, full and just beautiful and fresh. The added touches to the memorial table, cake and other parts of the venue was just enough to bring out the Fall colors. Our centerpieces were baseball bats because we had a baseball themed wedding and can I tell you… they were legit BATS. It was the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen at a wedding. The colors and arrangements made our pictures so beautiful. I can’t thank you enough for making our day so beautiful. If you want beautiful flowers that people are going to fall in love with, go with Debbie’s Designs. I will absolutely be using them again for other events! :)

Perfect Flowers & Team

We hired Debbie's Designs for our recent wedding at pleasantdale chateau and they were absolutely incredible. Starting from our original appointments, the team at Debbie's took time to understand our vision for the wedding and they absolutely exceeded our expectations. The flowers at the wedding (tropical theme) were absolutely beautiful and were exactly what we wanted (and even better). Additionally, we used their services for a phoot booth and it was so good! It was actually a highlight of the wedding as we have now so many fun photos of our guests. On top of all this, working with Orhan and Alla was super easy and they were very attentive and considerate of our notes. We highly highly highly recommend Debbie's for your flowers (and photo booth) needs for your big night.

Beyond Magical

What a dream Debbie Designs was to work with- from the very beginning the tone is set that you can go to them with any vision, and they will find a way to make it happen. Our wedding planning process was a stressful one, having 3 dates due to COVID, Debbie Designs worked with us no matter what the circumstances. From the beginning we were told that Debbie Designs would not be a source of stress for us on our wedding day, this held true throughout the entire wedding planning process, all the way through until the day of and after the wedding. At the beginning we created a vision of what we wanted- elegant, rustic, vintage and summery. The color pallet, to the décor held this vision and was more than we could have imagined. Orhan and Alla checked in with us constantly to ensure that we were happy with the direction we were moving in, there was never a moment that I was unhappy or disappointed with what they created for our day. If we were ever uneasy about something, it was handled very quickly, questions were answered, and we were ensured that it would be taken care of. The Debbie Designs team handled florals and décor at my parents’ home as well as the venue, what they created in each setting was breathtaking. When we walked into our venue, I was speechless with how gorgeous everything looked- florals, décor, signs, mirror seating chart, candles- they handled everything. When planning a wedding there is nothing better than having a vendor that handles everything and anything you need. At the end of the night as guests were leaving the Debbie Designs team showed up within perfect timing to clean up décor of the night. Not only that but they also came to my parents’ home to clean up the florals that were set up there. This company is a dream to work with and I could go on and on about them. Thank you Orhan, Alla and the Debbie Designs team for the magic you created on our wedding day, it was breathtakingly beautiful!

Custom, Beautiful Flowers!

Nothing about my wedding was more important to me than flowers. I wanted English garden meets whimsical forest, and Debbie's Designs delivered. The boutonnieres, corsages, flowers crowns, bouquets, centerpieces, and staircase decoration were all flawless. The flowers were more beautiful than I could have imagined. Everything was in full bloom, everything smelled like heaven, and they even found a way to beautifully display my lucky charm (my something blue) in my bridal bouquet. Amazing and wonderful!!

Debbie's Designs was the florist for our wedding earlier in June 2019. We really enjoyed working with Orhan and his team. Everyone very accommodating and flexible, worked within our budget and still delivered the vision we had in mind for our wedding.

For the day of our wedding, we LOVED our personal flowers and the birch arch used for our ceremony. My bridal bouquet was gorgeous and complimented my dress so well. I was so happy with how well it also complimented my husband's boutonniere! The bridesmaids bouquets were also so lovely and went well with the boutonnieres worn by the groomsmen. For our ceremony, the birch arch was so pretty and was perfect for the outdoor ceremony we had. All the flowers were in perfect harmony with the color scheme we had for our wedding.

For the reception, our guests were so impressed and raved about how beautiful our table centerpieces were. They were so happy to be able to take them home as well!

Many thanks to Orhan, Natalie, Louise, Emily, and the rest of the team for an amazing job, and for answering all our questions so promptly during the planning process. It was such a pleasure to work with all of you!

Debbie's Designs is the Best!!

I cannot say enough about the Debbie's Designs team! My husband and I used Debbie's for our wedding a few weeks ago and could not have been happier with the results! Orhan, Emily, Louise and Natalie were all fantastic to work with and so extremely patient and kind from beginning to end. We had a lot of different floral needs for my wedding (two very large ceremony altar pieces and aisle flowers plus cocktail hour room arrangements, escort card table arrangement, staircase florals, as well 10 high and 10 low table centerpieces and our personals). Every piece was beautiful and exactly how we hoped they would be. They also happily moved all the ceremony flowers from the church after the ceremony to my reception venue for re-purposing there (this saved us a considerable amount of money). We will certainly use Debbie's again in the future for any event -- they are truly the best!

Melissa at Debbie’s Designs is AMAZING. We went there initially because they were a recommended vendor for our venue, but as soon as I met Melissa I could feel her love of design and arrangement. The price was steep for what we wanted to pay, but you absolutely get what you pay for. We even went to her with a lower price from a competitor, and she told us to go with them because she wouldn’t be able to match the price while giving us fair quality of what we wanted. AND WE STILL WENT WITH HER! That’s how impressed we were with her. Our guests were all commenting on how beautiful our centerpieces were, and our cake which she also decorated with flowers, was just as gorgeous. I basically gave her free reign to do whatever she wanted and I have no regrets. She will not steer you in the wrong direction!!

HOLY MOLY where I do begin. Melissa at Debbie's Designs is an ARTIST. She completely transformed my wedding and I am eternally grateful. Going into this process, I knew nothing about flowers. Melissa made our meetings not just fun, but so exciting. Our meetings were a blast and she BLEW US AWAY with her arrangements. Our Chuppah (Jewish wedding canopy) was breathtaking, our centerpieces were jaw-dropping, our bouquets were the most vibrant and perfect arrangements you have ever seen. Truly, every detail was spectacular. I worked closely with Orhan and Melissa on creating a Mackenzie Child's themed wedding and they were absolutely wonderful. We required a company that could create and execute various pieces necessary for a hindu ceremony (mandap & ceremony pieces) as well as the centerpieces and decorations that are commonplace with this type of celebration. From the first consultation, Orhan Oncul immediately made our vision come to life. His questions delved into the details of what was needed and what was desired. He meshed the two pictures perfectly all while being cognizant of our budget. In fact, Orhan invited the designer to meet with us and review all the ceremonial parts to ensure that our wedding day went smoothly. Furthermore, this company offered a few different centerpiece options; all of which left us in awe. Orhan worked with an outside vendor for the Indian components (pidi/piri, flower necklaces, and indian ceremony set up. The only issue was the flower necklaces were too small and were not the traditional indian ceremony necklaces. Regardless of that, we would still work with them again.
Overall the mandap and table arrangements were stunning. The color combinations and candle arrangements had an ethereal quality that manifested the idea: once in a lifetime. The most difficult part of this entire process were the unplanned bumps that all couples experience the week leading to the ‘big day.’ For example, at our last meeting with the venue professional, he asked us about the location for cards that guests would give us as presents. We had not thought about this particular detail; however, with a quick call to Orhan, we all breathed a collective sigh of relief. He fabricated a creative solution that complemented the rest of the decorations. Additionally, my fiance’s mom passed away a few years ago, and Orhan worked with me to have flowers for the grave and a table set up with her pictures and candles the day of. Debbie’s Designs will deliver the beauty and pageantry that will transform your venue into a place of unique wonder.

Debbie's did an amazing job at capturing the vision I had for my wedding. I provided them with a PDF of photos from Pinterest to get an idea of the style I wanted. My bouquet was PERFECT and the venue was decorated exactly how I had wanted.

I worked with Debbie and had a wonderful experience! I met with Debbie in person and had calls with her so that she made sure she had every detail that I wanted correct. I even came in to see all my flowers the day before my wedding so that nothing would be a surprise the day of which I thought was an amazing touch. My huppah, bouquets and centerpieces were absolutely gorgeous. She even did the baskets in the bathrooms, arranged the flip flops for the guests, had pictures of me and my husband through out the venue, flowers throughout the cocktail hour and more! My vision was truly captured and I loved everything!! Thanks Debbie and Melissa for making my vision come true!

Melissa was absolutely amazing. Not only was she a blast to work with, but her talent is truly breathtaking. I’ve never been at such a loss for words to describe a vendor. I fear that words won’t adequately capture how amazing they are.

After choosing the Pleasantdale for our reception, I felt immense pressure to select a floral designer that could execute my elegant vision. I met with ten florists before being referred to Melissa at Debbie's. It was love at first sight! Melissa was a true partner. She listened intently, offered terrific suggestions, and cared about all the details. In full disclosure, I had bridal OCD. I arrived at meetings with a perfectly organized binder and carefully curated wedding board. Melissa is the only person who matched my level of detail and often times exceeded it.

In addition to her flawless execution and design, Melissa is readily accessible. It's important that future brides understand that when they work with Melissa, they are working with someone who is emotionally invested in her clients and their day. She answered every email, almost immediately, and made herself available for impromptu visits to the studio.

Finally, Melissa and her team are agile. We booked Melissa 14 months before my wedding. Naturally, my vision evolved as the planning matured. Melissa remained calm and was mindful as to how we could incorporate within our budget. As an example, I determined two weeks before my wedding that I could not live without a floral wall. After a few email exchanges, picture attachments and phone calls--Melissa said, "trust me." It was gorgeous! It doubled as our sweetheart table backdrop and after-party selfie wall. I've never seen a ballroom quite so beautiful.

Melissa was amazing to work with and our favorite vendor. By the time our wedding day arrived she was more like a friend. People often say, "flowers don't matter, they die." They're wrong. Our guests are still talking about the breathtaking transformation at the Pleasantdale. To future brides, you'll love working with Melissa and the team at Debbie's, I promise.

Melissa Blanck Singer at Debbies Designs made my daughters vision come true for her 2015 New Years Eve wedding!!! Melissa was a dream to work with and is extremely talented! She provided a ceremony room with white trees, candles and lanterns gracing the aisle. A true romantic winter wonderland! The cocktail hour room was just as stunning with a magnificent centerpiece surrounded by the glitter champagne favors with attached escort cards! Candles and floral arrangements scattered throughout to make a truly elegant cocktail hour! The reception ballroom room was absolutely beautiful!!! The floral arrangements on the tables, at the sweetheart table , cake table, gift table were breathtaking!!! Melissa also provided a decorative backdrop for our guest to take photos. The bridal, bridesmaids, mothers bouquets were just as we had envisioned....BEAUTIFUL!!!! Every picture my daughter had given Melissa to create her vision was used to give my daughter the wedding of her dreams!!! I highly recommend Melissa at Debbies Designs! She is the BEST!!! A wonderful person who really cares about making your dreams come true!!!

When my daughter got engaged, I, as her mother, had a vision of what type of look I wanted for her Saturday evening wedding. My daughter did not have as clear an idea but when we met Melissa Blank-Singer at Debbie's Designs, our hesitation, or uncertaintities were completely abated. Her warmth and welcoming personality won us both over from the onset.

But little did I know just how talented she is. She made the chuppa a fairytale come true. My daughter felt like she stepped into a storybook wedding and the smile on her face warmed me to the core. Melissa's patience with my several phone calls, her creativity, her ability to make an idea turn into a dream is why I would use Melissa at Debbie's Designs over and over again.
She and her staff were emotionally involved to the point that I thought she was doing HER daughter's wedding. They treated us like family;they wanted this day to surpass any expectations that we may have had. Melissa at Debbie's Designs is superb. I wasn't really one of those brides who was super into the flowers / decor. We discussed a few general thoughts/ideas and showed her a few photos on pinterest, and she artfully customized our centerpieces (branches, succulents, candles), bouquets (peonies & roses), chuppah, and other details. In addition to the standard flowers/decor items, which were all stunning, Melissa and her team created 2 particularly noteworthy pieces. They constructed an adorable dog house to hold our cards, in place of a stereotypical bird cage or suitcase. They also put together a flower arrangement in the shape of two dogs, which was even better than the ones I saw on pinterest. Bottom line - they can do pretty much anything you can conceive of!
Side note: My husband and I have 2 dogs, who we basically treat like our children. Melissa was kind enough to let them come to our meetings with her - she's a big dog person as well. They loved running around the new Debbie's Designs office, and they REALLY love their new, life-size dog house :)

I went to so many flowers places before finding Debbie's designs and as soon as I met Debbie and Melissa I was sure they were the best! They took my vision and made it so much more then I could have every imagined. I was married at pleasantdale which in itself is amazing and for the flowers to stand out that just shows how amazing Melissa is. I was never nervous about how my flowers would turn out and when I saw my venue that day I was in awe of what I saw and let me tell you I am not happy to please. I wanted everything over the top and my flowers were. I honestly love Melissa not just for her talent but for the person she is!

Melissa was the floral designer for our daughter's wedding.
I don't have the words to describe how beautiful all the floral decor was; its artistry was one that was admired by all. The chuppah was absolutely perfect....exactly what we wanted. The floral decor inside was spectacular as well; we had so many comments on the table arrangements which were like table-scapes, just as we asked for. Melissa took and vision and made it reality, and even took it up several notches.
Some people thought the flowers were so perfect that they couldn't possibly be real! The beauty and elegance of all the floral design set the tone for our simple and elegant wedding. We couldn't have been happier with it! The bouquets were amazing as well, and we were so delighted when they arrived.
Melissa was enthusiastic, warm, caring and very excited to be able to be an integral part of designing the ambiance for our wedding. She sent us photos of the flowers as they arrived during the days leading to the wedding; it helped to build our excitement and anticipation. On the day of the wedding, as we were getting ready, Melissa was creating her magic for the tables and the chuppah, and sent us photos to show the work in progress; clearly she understood we were anxious to know how things were going, but were occupied with hair and makeup activities.
I would highly recommend anyone looking for a floral designer to use Melissa at Debbie's Design. You'll have an amazing experience!

When i got engaged and began the wedding planning process, i was overwhelmed with the amount of vendors out there to choose from. However, from the start, I knew exactly who i was using for my flowers, and that was Debbie. My family had worked with Debbie and her team 3 times prior on other family affairs and we had an incredible experience. It was the easiest decision to partner with her again on my wedding.

Once we got started, everything fell into place perfectly. Bride's aren't the experts by any means. You get married once in your lifetime (if you're lucky) and Debbie's really stepped up as the leader and authority as it pertained to our wedding florals, linens, etc. Debbie and her team were extremely flexible with meeting with me after typical business hours and coming to NYC from NJ to see the venue. Debbie is very dedicated to her clients and her work, which is what you want when you hire a vendor. You want to feel important, top priority etc, and Debbie did just that!

The room was incredible and everyone was ranting and raving about our tables, centerpieces, ceremony etc. Everything was to the nines and we are so incredibly happy with the outcome!

Melissa from Debbie's Designs came highly recommended to me from a friend who was using her for her wedding. I must say, I am so thankful I took my friends advice and emailed Melissa. I remember my first conversation with Melissa like it was yesterday. I actually think I may have insulted her, in saying I wasn't so sure I even wanted flowers at my wedding!!! SORRY!!! My initial conversation with Melissa was short and sweet. We agreed to set up a consult. I remember the drive to Debbie's Designs with my then fiancé, I was so nervous. When arrived, Melissa's charisma, personality and overall charm, put us both at ease. She was absolutely breathtaking. We probably spent way more time in our consult then we should have. Not because we couldn't decide on what we wanted, but because we spent so much time chatting and getting to know each other.We never felt rushed. During the consult when I explained to Melissa what I wanted, she totally understood me! When we ended our consult, we got back in the car. My then fiancé and I sat, smiling from ear to ear. We both knew that Melissa was the florist for us. We hadn't even seen a sample centerpiece yet! But we knew wholeheartedly she was everything we were dreaming of and more! She was the missing link to our wedding that we desired. During the planning process, Melissa took my very small vision and created an absolutely stunning display. When we seen our sample centerpiece it was flawless! We literally loved every aspect of it. Melissa and I stayed in touch for the months leading up to the wedding. She always responded in a timely manner. My husband and I created such a bond with Melissa, that we felt others needed to experience the same thing! Several friends have used or are using her for their upcoming weddings. Overall, Melissa exceeded our expectations. Wow! Could not have asked for anything more from Debbie's Designs! We worked with Melissa, who is AMAZING! She is so knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. I didn't think I was a flower person, but Melissa changed that. When we met with Melissa, I told her the look/feel I was going for and then she gave me some ideas...and it was like she could read my mind! My bouquet and the girls' bouquets were so gorgeous, and my centerpieces were absolutely breathtaking! I had guests taking pictures of them because they loved them so much. One might think that centerpieces are just centerpieces (I used to), but Melissa made it feel so personalized! One of my friends even commented that the centerpieces had my fiance and me "written all over them"!

On top of being professional, patient, and talented, Melissa is just a lovely person. She was someone I looked forward to talking and working with. Being in the wedding industry myself, I was very selective as to the vendors I chose. I can not think about our decor without getting tears in my eyes. Debbie's Designs really outdid themselves. The room was the most beautiful I've ever seen. The time and small little touches that Orhan and Debbie added to everything is more than we dreamed of.

They took my vision and exceeded very expectation. The ceremony space was elegant and whimsical, just as I had wished for. Everyone who walked into the ballroom gasped with how beautiful it was. I really can't thank them enough. The attention to detail they paid was mind blowing. The compliments haven't stopped. They even did my favors and I couldn't be more pleased. I worked with Melissa at Debbie's Designs and I am so thrilled that I chose them. Melissa is incredible and completely brought to life the look I envisioned. She is very responsive and incredibly creative. I had an all-white theme for my flowers and Melissa did such a beautiful job of creating bouquets and centerpieces that had "room to breathe" (not in a tight ball). My bouquet was a pear shape that cascaded out. I am short and petite, so I didn't want a bouquet that took over me. Melissa created the PERFECT size for me, and completed the stems with pearls. All of my guests loved the Chuppah and centerpieces. Melissa was so easy to work with and I thank her / Debbie's Designs from the bottom of my heart.

My fiance and I met with Melissa at Debbie's Designs on dark and stormy night and from the moment I met her I knew that I wanted to work with her for our wedding. Her professionalism, warmth, creativity, and unique ability to capture someone's vision and dreams and then recreate that are what set her apart from the rest. The first time I went there to see a sample of my centerpiece, it caught my eye from across the room and I immediately thought "wow I hope that's mine"...and it was.

I remember going there the day before the wedding to drop off some stuff and she showed my mom and I how the centerpieces were coming along and as my mom and I left I had tears in my eyes and I looked over to my mom and she was crying and I asked her why and she said "because it looks like more than I could have ever imagined."

If I had to do this all over again I would still stick with Melissa and Debbie's Designs. This was one of the best decisions I ever made and I seriously owe the world to Melissa.

Melissa was pleasant and professional and able to give me almost everything I asked for. A week before the wedding she got in contact and let me know that my bouquet flowers were not up to par for the season and offered some similar looking recommendations which ended up looking beautiful. Debbie Designs came highly recommended by my venue and when I sat down with Melissa, I understood why. Not only has Melissa been doing this work for many, many years, she is an artist and florist designer in its truest form. Melissa saw one picture of my gown and immediately painted a picture of romance and cobblestones. Her bouquets and center pieces created that same image for my guests. I took a non traditional approach with my bouquet, and as oppose to a typical white rose display, I did a cascading bouquet of lavenders, pinks and peaches with the only white flower being my requested and sentimental Lillie's of the Valley. Baby pink roses and strands of lace and pearls hung delicately from my bouquet. People have commented that my bouquet looked like a water color painting. It was nothing short of exquisite. My girls carried white tulips (the epitome of spring) and my centerpieces were half large cherry blossom branches and half low bowls of tulips that matched my personal bouquet. It was gorgeous!!! The efforts that went into my cherry blossoms did not go unnoticed. Melissa and Debbie were fabulous and were more than happy to meet with me whenever I requested or had a few questions, each and every time allowing me to go into their work space and view my flowers or center pieces. Hands down, if you want elegance, beauty, quality and something traditional yet unique to your style, Debbie Designs is the place to go !!

When we walked into the reception space once it was finished, our breaths were taken away by the beauty. Their expertise and style surpassed our expectations. I recently got married at Crystal Plaza, and used Debbie's Designs for my flowers. Melissa was so awesome! We had gone to another vendor in the area, but had gotten a bad feeling about them. Melissa seems sincere. Even though the other vendor would have been able to cut costs, reusing the ceremony flowers for the centerpieces, she insisted that given the August heat the flowers would not look the best. We were able to work together to come up with a plan, that both fit my budget and looked amazing. I was able to see a sample centerpiece prior to signing a contract or giving any money, including a deposit. We were also able to tweak the centerpiece, so it was more of my vision before finalizing. If you were to have taken a picture of the centerpiece, that is EXACTLY what I got the day of my affair, no surprises. Melissa was the one who set up my flowers the morning of... This is very important!!! The other flower company we looked at had hired young teenagers to bring and set up the flowers. You were not able to meet these people till the day of.
The day of the affair we realized that because of the amount of people we were having at the ceremony, there was not enough space for the chairs along the aisle to be lined with tulle (something I had originally wanted and paid for). Instead, she offered to decorate the cake, the cake table and the center table we were sitting at.
All of the candles, centerpieces, and cake came out beautifully... I wish I could post pictures.
I got exactly what I had wanted, and what I had paid for. They were honest and easy to work with.

I used Debbies Designs for my floweral arrangments and I can't say enough about them. I worked with Melissa and she did an AMAZING job!! The center pieces were out of this world beautiful and my bouquet was gorgeous!! The flower decor was everything I wanted and MORE!! Melissa made all my visions come true!!

They totally understood everything we wanted for my daughter's wedding. Melissa is so creative and did a beautiful job in creating a night to remember. She took my daughter's ideas and enhanced them. We could not have asked for more. The Chuppah was gorgeous, the flowers were unbelievable and everyone has not stopped talking about it. Everything worked perfectly and they were FABULOUS!!
Use them and you will be so happy.

Melissa, Debbie, Roberta and the entire team at Debbie's Design as a whole were a pleasure to work with. From the very beginning they talked me through every detail from table arrangements, to my bouquet, to the ceremony runner. They were very accessible as I was able to meet with them several times to see a sample and then see my flowers and bouquet the day before my wedding which was a HUGE plus just in case I wanted to make changes which I didn't because it was perfect.
When I saw the actual flowers the day of my wedding I was completely blown away. I was looking for something modern and they delivered with the most beautiful flowers. My ceremony Kuppah, runner, and candles down the aisle were straight from a dream and I couldn't have imagined it looking better. They also transformed the ballroom with gorgeous table center pieces and it just looked fantastic. My bouquet was so gorgeous that I am getting it preserved so I can have it forever.
What I love most about Debbie's Design specifically Melissa is that nothing they do is standard or cookie cutter, every wedding is personal and they make you feel very special and they want to do the best job they can for you which not most companies can say these days.
My husband and I would recommend them to anyone looking for an amazing florist and would hire them again if we were to do it all over.

Debbie's Designs did a wonderful job at my wedding!! I cannot tell you how many compliments my husband and I received about the flowers for the bridal party, at the church and at our reception venue. I am a type A bride and they always took the time to answer any of my questions. I couldn't have been more happy about the end result. Thank you for all of your efforts. You really helped make my fairy tale come true!

Debbie's Designs is fantastic! We worked with Melissa and she was just amazing! She is super nice, and knows her stuff which is so important because I knew what I wanted over all, and I had some pictures of things I liked, but I don't know flowers that well and it's hard to try and put them all together to get what you really want. She helped me pick flowers that worked together best, and suggested things that I didn't know existed and it all came together to look just beautiful. I did not want the cookie cutter ball of flowers with things hanging down for the tables, I didn't want the same bouquet everyone else has, and I didn't want my bridesmaids to have the same pom-pom of flowers either. She totally understood what I wanted and I still can't believe how perfect it all looked. My bouquet really was more than I could have imagined and the ballroom looked fabulous! Melissa is the best, and Debbie's is the place to go for your wedding- their taste is exquisite and they are beyond dependable!

I had seen a brochure for one florist and absolutely fell in love. When I met with them I found them to be ridiculously priced, and they could care less about my business. I found Debbie through my mom's co-worker. From the first moment I met her I knew she would make my wedding special. She was able to create exactly what I wanted at half the price of the competitor. The centerpieces were spectacular and the bouquets were gorgeous. Debbie is very professional and easy to work with. Everyone I have dealt with at Debbie's Designs is just wonderful. I would highly recommend them to everyone getting married. I can't say enough about Debbie and her company.

My daughter just got married in the city on Sunday. The venue (Gotham Hall) is very special, but no one can stop talking about the spectacular, beautiful and totally awesome chuppah and floral arrangements! Debbie is just wonderful to work with! She is has such a creative and artistic vision, while being super attentive to all the details. Everything is quality, quality, quality. She took our original vision to a whole new level. I was so moved and excited when I saw the room set up that I almost cried! If you are getting married -this is the place to come to!!!!

I learned about Debbie's Designs through Seasons where I was having my wedding. From the first meeting I felt their event designer understood the vision we were working towards. In addition there were two other differences in service that made me more comfortable working with Debbie's Designs than another florist. 1) They made a mock up of a centerpiece for me to see in advance before I put down a deposit. From this I asked for a few simple tweaks to the arrangements, but was thoroughly impressed with what I saw. I had described an organic, tree-like structure with some moss with some scattered flowers in the branches and some battery powered treelights on high, and some lower centerpieces with greens browns and purples. They hit the nail on the head. 2) they requested I would come in the day before the wedding to see the bouquets to ensure they were ok before they were fully prepared so any changes could be made. As they said, 99% of the time there are no problems, but 1% someone wants something removed, etc. I fell into the 99% who loved, the bouquets.

my guests all commented on how much they loved the florals and how great they thought the ceremony looked with the arch. I thought the price was good for the amount I was getting and the quality of the florals. I'd had higher and lower quotes, and this seemed priced appropriately for what i was recieving.

I would highly recommend Debbie's for floral design for weddings. They also pointed me to a terrific DJ.

Debbie and her team are AMAZING!!! Debbie is so sweet and listened to all of my ideas. She took my vision and turned my wedding into a fairytale. Everything was incredible!!! The chuppah was incredible! The bouquets were incredible! Everything was just perfect!! The centerpieces were gorgeous and exactly what I had wanted. The ceremony set up was beautiful and romantic. Debbie Design's was so easy to work with and made me feel at ease from the moment I walked into their office. The flowers were so fresh. Many of them lasted until we returned home from our honeymoon - two weeks after our wedding. Debbie's Designs is the BEST!!!!

We used Debbie's Designs for the backdrop of our open-air photo booth and were pleased with how it came out. The company had come to the venue the day before the wedding to set up the backdrop and I was sent a picture. I was concerned that the sheer material that was used was going to be too see-through and was worried about how it would look in the pictures. I contacted Iris right away and she promptly emailed me back to let me know that they would be adding more fabric the next day. The night of the wedding, the photo booth was a hit and the backdrop looked great!

Melissa from Debbie’s Designs was my floral designer for my wedding. She was recommended to me by Fred Fogg at Fred Fogg Productions. I honestly do not have enough wonderful things I can say about Melissa and her work. She is incredibly talented, caring, enthusiastic and passionate about her job. I cannot say enough how beautiful all of the floral décor was for my wedding. She did my bouquets, center pieces, customized table numbers, escort card and party favors, customized sweetheart table and chairs, our selfie wall backdrop, all of our cocktail hour décor and our absolutely stunning ceremony room filled with trees, lights and candles. We got so many compliments on all of our décor. The beauty and elegance of all the floral design set the tone for the romantic elegant wedding I wanted. She took my vision and made it a pure reality and I couldn’t have been more pleased. I don't know if I can adequately put into words how amazing Melissa from Debbie's Designs is. We knew of Debbie's Designs because my mom used Debbie for my sister's Bat Mitzvah - in 1994! That's a testament to the company in and of itself. Any company that can be around that long must be doing something right, and Debbie's Designs fits that to a T. When we went for our consultation, we weren't sure if we wanted to go with a different rental company that was super cheap, but our meeting with Melissa left no doubt in our minds that Debbie's would be our florist/decorator.

Melissa was warm and welcoming and genuinely interested to learn about me, my fiance, and our likes and dislikes. When I showed her an idea that I had, she let me know right away that she could do it, but it wouldn't be in our budget - which I greatly appreciated. She didn't let me get my hopes up about something only for it to be out of reach. Instead we came up with a different plan and when we came in two weeks later to see the samples I was IN LOVE. It was everything I wanted.

The day before the wedding Melissa sent me an email with a photo of my bouquet which was perfect, of course. The day of the wedding Melissa and her team arrived and decorated our chuppah as well as prepared our centerpieces and flowers. They had also made adorable flower girl baskets that matched my flower girls' dresses perfectly.

Since the wedding everyone has RAVED about our centerpieces and commented that our space looked like a fairytale. We couldn't be more satisfied with Melissa and the rest of the Debbie's Designs team.

Debbie's Design's is the most amazing event planner to work with. All you have to do is give her a price you want to spend and the whole team comes together and creates the wedding of your dreams. They went above and beyond for my wedding that was at the Crystal Plaza in Livingston, New Jersey. They work with you and are very flexible and try to accommodate all your needs to the best they can. Everyone that works there treats the wedding just as it was their own, making sure everything is done right and correct. All my flowers were done by the in house florist Melissa that is a genius when it comes to working with flowers. All her ideas blew me away. I gave them a picture of the chuppah that I wanted and she made it even better then the picture. She even knew how important my sister means to me as a surprise she put my sisters favorite flower at the bottom so when I walked up to it I saw it on both sides. When I saw everything for the first time I was speechless and crying. There is not one thing that I would have changed. I gave them a theme that most brides want "pink and crystals," which was incorporated in everything they did. They even surprised me with a hot pink red carpet for all my guests to walk in on. If you want a wedding done right and you DON'T want to worry I recommend you call Debbie's Design's. Since the team did such an amazing job it will be featured on TLC in the fall where they feature 2 weddings a year and show the spectacular job they did. Even the film crew was shocked on how on top of things they were a did not miss a beat. I am so grateful to Debbie's Design's and all that they did to make my wedding day PERFECT!!!

Thank you to Debbie’s Designs for providing gorgeous flowers for our wedding day. From the bridal/bridesmaids bouquets to our gorgeous centerpieces, the team at Debbie’s Designs made my wedding floral dreams come true! Each time we visited the office, we were able to see “where the magic happens” in the warehouse (for lack of a better term)- we were allowed to see the flowers in bulk, pick out our décor, and meet the ‘behind the scenes’ staff who work hard to turn visions into reality.
A special thanks to Katie- her attention to detail and patience was unprecedented. She was always available to hear our questions and concerns… and always had a smile on her face. My mother and I wanted to be very involved in the floral design process from beginning to end- We told Katie what we wanted and how we wanted it (many times!!)… and she patiently listened, took notes, and was even present at our venue on our wedding day to ensure everything turned out perfectly- and everything did!

Disappointed in the Quality/ Overall Experience

After seeing the work that Debbie's Designs did for another wedding before I booked them, I was extremely disappointed with the work I received for my wedding this past October. During my multiple appointments with this vendor I went over the specifics about the florals that was very important to me-i.e. the color of the flowers throughout the girls' bouquets and all the centerpieces that were put together for the reception. I was very clear throughout the planning process about the specific 'fall colors' I wanted represented. I also sent one picture about the style that I was looking for in my bouquet. Now looking back on my wedding day and all the planning that occurred, I should have been more detailed and specific about exactly what I was looking for. The morning of my wedding when the flowers were all dropped off-I realized that all the bridesmaids' bouquets were simply white and purple which is no where near what I had described for my vision. Along with my girls' flowers being incorrect, my bouquet was the right colors but none of the type of flowers that I was hoping for. My flower girl's ball of flowers also didn't even leave my house for ceremony without completely falling apart and not allowing her to be able to hold this walking up the aisle or being introduced at my reception. Looking back I realize I should have found exactly what I wanted for every bouquet and centerpiece. I was extremely disappointed and frustrated with what I received in regards to florals for my wedding, especially based on the higher price point that I agreed to pay since I originally thought they would be worth it. My advice for future brides is to be as specific and detail oriented as possible if working with this vendor.

The meetings I always left feeling excited and that she really understood the look of what I was going for. Unfortunately I was DISAPPOINTED in the end. The centerpieces were the thing my husband and I would tell everyone “wait until you see these” is the one thing he actually prided himself on the idea. He closed his business down for the day, we drove over an hour away to see what the centerpieces would look like. We loved them! So Big and gaudy like we wanted. Well when it came to wedding day, they weren’t even half the size of what we agreed on, even having more to work with to fill because we had 5 more tables we didn’t fill that Melissa said she would use to make them even bigger! BAIT AND SWITCHED. Nope! I brought it up, ending up having to check twice if they got bigger and they didn’t. Not only that, they spelled my name wrong on the napkins and no one told me from their team, she changed the reception table flower lay out and didn’t tell me and barely any petals at my ceremony like we agreed, she blamed the wind on a non windy day. Emailed disappointment and she emailed someone will call me, haven’t gotten the call. As a business owner, it wouldn’t sit right with me if a customer was upset like this, very unprofessional especially for the type of money we spent with them. I feel like I was just another paycheck not that my wedding is over. All I want to know is why were they big the first time? Why didn’t anyone tell me about the napkin miss spelling?

Horrible service and last minute calls

Horrible Service, Last Minute Calls, and Unnecessary Stressors:

I used Debbies Designs for my wedding at The Pleasantdale Chateau this past weekend and couldn't have been more disappointed for the service we received. After months of preparation, thought and energy into ensuring these would come out right, I was left forced to accept what they had delivered due to timing. We reviewed flower choices and colors 2 days before the wedding and it was a TOTAL LET DOWN. This was not like the inspiration photos we discussed over 6 months before the wedding and when asked what happened Alla replied with "We do not normally use those types of flowers in a bouquet". If this was the case it should have been communicated 6 months ago, or at the three weeks before the wedding, when I emailed them to review what flowers would be used.

Unfortunately it got even WORSE!! How could that be you ask?!

It was the night of my REHEARSAL DINNER - literally 5 mins before when I had to approve the rushed together bouquets as I sat down to enjoy dinner with my family and friends. No more adjustments could be made because they waited until the last minute to confirm if the floral arrangements were okay. At this point I wish we didn't even have flowers as the venue was so pretty on its own they were unnecessary.

They gave the flower-man a single rose to toss when coming down the aisle. I had no energy left so my husband had to demand the measly additional flower petals we paid THOUSANDS of dollars for...

Many of the florals used were even ones I asked them not to use! Boutonnières, centerpieces, and even the rest of the decorations all included rejected flowers. I could not understand how badly they listened, as it was obvious they didn't care about our vision.

I loved them when I met them, but because we didn't want to pay $10k+ for flowers, they treated us like dirt.
If you are paying $15k, $20k, even $30k for flowers, you'll be fine, but for all the other brides and grooms out there - SAVE YOUR MONEY.

I would never suggest to work with them. And I would highly suggest for The Pleasantdale Chateau to give alternative options who give just us much care and energy into the client as the venue does...so so sad.

bad experience

As a vendor in the industry, previous brides of mine had told me that the flowers will be beautiful- but not what you asked for. Taking that into consideration because I HAD to use this company, I couldn't have been more detailed with my requests. I had all of my photo inspiration and information documented in emails as well as in person meetings. I was promised so many things that were not delivered. THE ONE AND ONLY CHAOS AND DISAPPOINTMENT I had on my wedding day were my flowers. Because of this, my photos were cut short with friends and family (I had to sign with the photographer so they weren't liable for the small amount of photos I had) and my nerves throughout the roof right before walking down the aisle. My bouquet, the bridesmaids bouquets, and the boutonnieres were so wrong. I had a creme white and blush theme. I was surprised with Hawaiian purple orchids in the fall.

The unprofessionalism, showing up late to meetings, little to no communication, and not delivering to expectation for the price you pay- is not worth your time on the biggest day of your life. Orhan gave back money after apologizing for all of his wrongs. But that still doesn't make up for the stress he caused. Kudos to the women of this company that keeps Orhan afloat.

Did not live up to their promise. Gave a large deposit but then would not hear from them. Sent many emails and pictures of what I wanted my wedding to look like. Very disappointed and frustrating.

Debbie was supposed to provide flowers for my wedding, which was scheduled to take place on August 28, 2011—the day that Hurricane Irene hit the NYC area. Several days before the wedding, we were unfortunately forced to postpone the event. All of our vendors, except Debbie were extremely understanding and accommodating. Debbie, however, made our lives a nightmare. She was angry when we rescheduled, but agreed to provide flowers for new date. However, after the hurricane when we tried to reach her by phone and email for days to discuss the details of the new wedding date, she was totally nonresponsive. None of our messages were ever returned. My mother finally tracked her down on her personal cell phone less than a week before our new wedding date. During the conversation she agreed to provide the flowers and did not mention anything about an additional fee. Then several days later, she called demanding an additional $3000 saying that if we did not pay it, she wouldn’t do our wedding! Notably, even before the hurricane debacle, Debbie was nearly impossible to reach and both she and her staff were unresponsive to emails. Debbie also was annoyed when we politely asked for a breakdown of the costs of certain items we wanted. We soon learned that she’s also an explosive, unprofessional, and highly unethical businesswoman. Debbie left us several days before our wedding without a florist. While her arrangements may be pretty and her prices aren’t exorbitant, they are nothing you can’t find elsewhere and certainly not worth the terrible customer service you must endure. Please proceed with caution!

Debbie's Designs was a nightmare! She was lovely until she took our hefty deposit. After she had our money, her personality changed! She was moody and difficult to deal with. She kept giving us her associates to deal with. She told us she was too busy with her other clients. We were stuck after we gave her our money. We saw the other reviews after the fact. We should have researched more. The positive referrals came from her vendors that must get a huge kickback. I feel stupid about being so naive about how her business and industry works.
