  Justin is amazing! From the moment of our consultation with him to discuss our ideas and song selections (and "do not play"), we knew the music would be perfect. Justin created the exact atmosphere we wanted, from our rooftop
  cocktail hour to an awesome dance party after dinner. Everyone was on the dance floor from start to finish, and Justin's mixes were hot. We were clear with him about not wanting a stereotypical wedding reception. As a result, and thanks to Justin's talent, we got our wish... and we received rave reviews about the music. Justin was also a great Emcee and kept the evening moving along. He is professional, knowledgable, creative, and flexible. We aren't wedding experts, but we had a clear vision and we couldn't have had a better DJ. Thank you, Justin, for helping to create such a memorable and magical wedding experience for us and for our guests.

  I cannot recommend DC Wedding DJ enough! Justin made the reception music piece of our wedding planning incredibly easy. He was responsive to all of our emails and phone calls while balancing a busy schedule and getting ready for his own wedding. He always made us feel like a priority. He has excellent taste in music and great recommendations for those who want to pick specific songs to be played. Our guests had a great time dancing thanks to Justin's tunes! To top it all off, Justin is a super nice guy. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

  Justin was a pleasure to work with and incredibly professional throughout the whole process. He took the time to meet us in person before we officially hired him, to listen to our ideas, and to get a sense of our personalities as individuals and as a couple. During the planning process, he was flexible, and always replied promptly to e-mails. We incorporated a number of song requests from guests, which he was more than happy to work into his plan for the evening's music. During the actual event, he did a fabulous job of keeping the dinner music low and unobtrusive so that all of our guests were able to converse easily with each other without having to shout over music. After dinner was over, Justin did an amazing job of dj-ing a dance party for us. Every single one of our guests was on the dance floor for the entire night. We really could not have chosen a better dj for our wedding.

  My husband and I had a wonderful experience and would be happy to recommend DC Wedding DJ to anyone getting married. We weren't sure we wanted a DJ because we had been to enough weddings where they talk to much (instead of playing music) and Justin was anything but that. He worked with us to find the perfect blend of old favorites as well as modern hits, and everyone had a great time! Thanks again!

  This guy should be named Justincredible because he rolled with the punches when our reception timeline changed at the last minute. I was almost in hysterics three days before the wedding because my venue screwed up the scheduling, but Justin adapted his schedule and made it work perfectly! We only gave him a handful of songs and he nailed the style we were looking for. If the venue didn't kick us out at 11pm we would have gone all night (my unmarried friends are animals). Highly highly recommend for musical taste and extremely reasonable pricing.

  I can't thank DC Wedding DJ enough for our ceremony and reception. The brass quintet that we hired for the ceremony canceled THREE DAYS before the wedding and my fiancee and I were in a state of panic. We asked Justin if he knew of other musicians and he gave us two different groups along with some recommendations for the actual pieces. Apparently this guy was a classical musician too! (I thought all DJs were airheads before this process.) We actually decided to ask Justin to bring his equipment to our ceremony and play the same classical pieces that he had recommended (through his pro sound system). It was perfect in every way and saved us THOUSANDS of dollars over what we would have had to pay our idiot brass quintet.
  
  The reception itself was amazing and we had just the right amount of every type of music all night. My family doesn't dance much unless they're smashed, but they were out there having a great time. Justin played exactly what they needed to hear to come out of their shells and party all night. Aside from still being a little sore from dancing, it was the best time Annie and I have ever had! highly recommended!

  Besides finding the love of my life, hiring DCWeddingDJ was the best decision of my wedding. I realize that sounds extreme - but Justin was a dream come true! He listened to how we wanted the night to go and executed it flawlessly. I wouldn't hesitate to hire him again, and again, and again. Do yourself a favor - go with DCWeddingDJ!

  A+++! I was at a college friend's wedding last fall and heard DC Wedding DJ for the first time. My [now] husband and I were just starting to pick our vendors and we knew immediately that we had found our DJ! We didn't want too much "emceeing" - just great music and a chance for a few members of the bridal party to make speeches. We told Justin exactly what we wanted and he delivered it perfectly!
  
  We also decided to use a handful of uplights to enhance the mood of our reception hall. We gave Justin the colors that my mom and I had picked for the venue and he was able to reproduce the color tones perfectly -- it was beautiful! (The lights were on the same color the whole time, we didn't want them to change colors or pulse to the music, which is an option if you like that style.)
  
  Spend the money on the right DJ - those last 6 hours are what my guests have been talking about most, and we couldn't have asked for anyone better!

  Classy, professional, and a ton of fun! That pretty much sums up our experience with DC Wedding DJ. My husband and I are pretty laid back; we didn't have too many songs that we really want played (we had a few that we didn't want played) so we largely left it up to the DJ to set the vibe. The music was impeccable, and Justin didn't abuse the microphone with cheesy commentary. It was always about us and about dancing with our family and friends. We're thrilled, and we are already working with Justin to do a private party for my company in January. Can't wait!!

  My husband and I knew we wanted to have a DJ, but I worried about having someone show up with nothing but a laptop. That certainly would not do our wedding any justice. Our people love to dance! Well, that was a non-issue with Justin. In addition to really enjoying his personality, we liked that he is a serious DJ and comes equipped with all the bells and whistles. I am not sure what everything was called, but there were turntables and a lot of fancy equipment. It definitely added a professional touch and made the transitions between songs so smooth you barely noticed. Not to mention that my husband and I have wildly different musical tastes, but Justin was able to incorporate both of our styles depending on the mood of the crowd - in addition to tons of classics that kept all the guests dancing late into the night. Highly recommend!

  Justin is an incredible DJ! He is really responsive to what the crowd wants and keeps everyone on their feet. He plays a great mixture of recognizable songs and funky remixes that are fun to dance to. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ in the area!

  Justin from DC Wedding DJ created exactly the type of dance party we were looking for at our wedding - with all of the music we knew our friends would enjoy, and a wide enough appeal that even our older relatives were out on the dance floor! Everyone loved the music, and Justin set the perfect mood for the party with no forced, cheesy calls to the dance floor. He was super flexible and professional - working with us on announcements and some key songs we couldn't live without. The whole process was seamless. Thank you, Justin!

  Justin made our wedding so special. I had a big group and a formal wedding venue, and I was looking for a DJ for the reception who would get and keep people on the dance floor. He is very professional while also adept at getting people excited at a party. He has a background as a musician, and I think this gives him a unique ability to judge the mood of an event and change the music accordingly. He also DJs with a full array of sound equipment, instead of just showing up with a laptop and a playlist like a lot of DJs do now, which means that he is really flexible and able to easily respond to requests and changes. I would recommend him to anyone!

  Justin from DC Wedding DJ was absolutely amazing. We wanted everything to be upbeat and fun, but not so modern that our parents and their friends wouldn't want to be out on the dance floor with us. Justin doesn't do any of that cheesy MC "announcer" style when he is playing. We only wanted the bridal party (and ourselves) introduced and then get to the music! Aside from the classic wedding songs, he played some amazing remixes and was able to blend seamlessly from songs from my parents generation to my favorite songs. Even my husband was thrilled, and he is hard to get onto the dance floor! Top notch all around, and highly recommended to all!

  We only have delightful tunes and positive thoughts to share about the spectacular job our DJ did for our special day. Justin was not only thoughtful in his communications with us leading up to our wedding day, but he also followed through exactly as planned. We really could not have asked for a better wedding day music set. It was through a Yale connection that we met with Justin as a potential DJ and we were steered in exactly the right direction. Not only was this an effortless part of our wedding planning process, but it was a highlight of our wedding evening. Even our guests raved about the music. Justin, thanks for the wonderful memories you added to our wedding!! We highly recommend you!
