We've consistently used this venue for our all-day mindfulness retreat for the last several years. It is always a beautiful space to bring a sense of mindfulness to our participants. We love the outdoor space right on the water. They work with us to accommodate everything we need, even down to the smallest detail of the temperature inside the building throughout the day. We cannot speak highly enough of this place!

The venue was amazing and the owner was a pleasure to work with would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get married.
If you want to be able to customize your wedding to your taste (caterer, decor, etc) and have the versatility of a beautiful outdoor venue and yet a covered lanai and indoor venue for the reception. We had a beautiful wedding, and the photographer was able to capture amazing photos as well.

Absolutely beautiful venue
Choosing DIGC as our wedding venue was one of the easiest choices we made, it's an absolutely beautiful place. Amber was so. helpful and responsive throughout the planning process as well. And to add to the magic, a pair of dolphins showed up in the lake on our wedding day.

Perfect Venue we made our own!
As soon as we saw Davis Islands Garden Club we knew it was where we wanted to get married. We loved that we could bring in our own vendors, the flexibility of having a beautiful outdoor venue, a place inside to eat, and even a large porch where we set up our dance floor. It was a perfect location close to downtown Tampa were most of our friends and family stayed. I would highly recommend DIGC to anyone looking for a venue!

Hidden Gem!
Davis Island Garden Club is a hidden gem and we are so glad we found it! Great location on Davis Island next to the water and has a beautiful collection of flowers and plants that made all our wedding pictures look great. If you are looking for a DIY venue, this is it! I had a phenomenal experience working with the DIGC for an Easter community event this year. The property is exquisite with breathtaking water views, the grounds are meticulous and the building had everything we needed and more. The event was so successful and I know the biggest reason was the beautiful and charming venue. Everyone raved over the DIGC!
The DIGC Coordinator, Amber Beaty, was fantastic to work with. Not only is she incredibly friendly and kind, she is quick to respond, very accommodating and helpful. She made my job so easy!
I had such an amazing experience that I’m already planning a fundraisiser at the DIGC for November. It’s my go- to, top venue preference in South Tampa. There is nothing else like it, as charming and beautiful or as pleasant to work with.
I’ve been to several weddings at DIGC and they are stunning. Market lights at an evening DIGC event is magical. It’s a rare gem!!

This venue is stunning, the views and location are second to none. Amber is super responsive and extremely easy to work with. So beyond beautiful
My husband and I loved Davis Island Garden Club so much! We didn't even get out of the car before we knew this was the place we wanted to get married. It is so naturally beautiful and truly is a clean slate. We loved it because my husband and I are not over the top people and really wanted something with a lot of natural beauty. Amber is super nice, and always responded with questions in timely manner! She was a true help especially with everything going on with the pandemic. We had an unfortunate situation happen with our wedding coordinator and had to end up setting up our wedding all by ourselves, but Amber let us get to the venue early and start setting up! Honestly I cannot say enough good things about this venue. All of our guests/family keep saying how beautiful it was! I would recommend this venue to anyone!

Best wedding venue in downtown Tampa!
Davis Island Garden Club is the most beautiful venue! I had my wedding here this year and it was so perfect. The views of downtown Tampa, and the channel are perfect for the ceremony and for photos, and the inside of the building is a perfect for receptions. Amber and the whole DIGC team are such a pleasure to work with and made sure everything was perfect for my day. I 100% would recommend this venue - you won't regret it!

The perfect DIY venue
This venue is gorgeous for outdoor ceremonies. There’s a view of downtown from the corner of the property that is one of a kind. It’s a great value for what you get, and they guide you throughout cleanup to ensure you get your deposit back. Amber is so easy to work with, too!

Beautiful DIY Venue
We used a wedding planner (Lisa from Event Sisters LLC) who sought out every vendor, and maintained all the interactions with DIGC. I lived out of town and did not see the venue until day of, but it was absolutely beautiful and larger than it looks in the photos! Because it's a DIY venue, you can really make it your own and transform the venue to any way you like.

Great DIY venue
The Davis Islands Garden Club is beyond gorgeous, and it helped that we lucked out and had phenomenal weather. The venue is extremely DIY, which is both amazing and intimidating at the same time. If you want to make everything custom to your vision, this is the place for you. Just be prepared that there is very little initial guidance about what works best for layouts, setup styles, etc. However, Amber was an absolute pleasure to work with the whole time, and answered all of my million questions that I asked her.

Everything was amazing
My wedding day couldn’t have been more perfect. The venue is just beautiful, the garden is the perfect setting for a ceremony and/or reception. I worked with Amber at the venue and she was very professional, responsive and helpful. She put me at ease many times when I felt like I was asking silly questions. The morning of the wedding she was outside with a leaf blower making sure everything was perfect. We received so many compliments on the wedding, all of my vendors did an amazing job. We really enjoyed being able to hire our own vendors and DIY a lot of things as well. Everything was just perfect!!!

The Perfect Venue
Davis Island Garden Club was my dream venue. It’s so beautiful there and right on the water, with views of downtown Tampa. We had the ceremony outside, along with dancing under the patio and we ate inside, so the space is both indoor and outdoor. The venue is a blank canvas but also very pretty, so you can make you vision come true there, but a lot doesn’t need to be done because the outside speaks for itself. I liked that I got to bring my own vendors in but also can use, and not made to use, their preferred vendors. Amber is also amazing! She was so great to work with and super responsive and a huge help with all of my questions. I couldn’t recommend this venue more as it’s beautiful and the staff is great. It was a great experience and would do it all over again if I could!

I picked DIGC because, obviously, it’s so beautiful. But what really helped with my decision was Amber. I connected with her right away and she was so easy to talk to. She was excited for us and wanted DIGC to be the right place for our special day. That meant a lot to us. The venue was AMAZING and turned out like an actual dream... I could not believe that that was my wedding because it was so much more beautiful than I could have imagined. The best part was we didn’t have to do much.. DIGC is so amazing on its own we just added a couple of things and it was ready for the party! Thank you for a great experience on our special day. I fell in love with the outside of this venue. It’s on the water and has so much greenery and florals. It was the perfect backdrop for my wedding. Only thing I suggest is they power wash the walkway to the gazebo more often, it gets stained/dirty easily.

Amber was great! She answered all our questions and was very helpful. This venue is so beautiful! It gives the option to have an indoor or outdoor wedding. We had planned for an all outdoor wedding but the rain came unexpectedly and we had to move it indoors but it was plenty of room either way. We had our ceremony outside by the gazebo and set the dance floor set up on the covered patio. This venue allows you to bring in all your own vendors including bar, food, decorations etc... We couldn't have been happier with our decision to use DIGC.

We fell in love with DIGC as soon as we saw it, and knew we wanted to have our wedding here! It is so naturally beautiful and in a great location to Tampa! We had our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all at DIGC. What's really great about DIGC is that it is a blank slate - you can use any vendors you wish! There are preferred vendors (based on their experience with the venue) but you can really hire any vendors you wish. We loved being able to really pick who we wanted to help with our wedding. Amber was a huge help throughout our planning and was very responsive in answering the many questions I had leading up to our wedding. Thank you Amber!!

This is the most flexible AND beautiful venue! It's pretty much a blank slate and you can create whatever image you have in mind for your wedding day! We had both our ceremony and reception at Davis Island. It was the easiest experience! There's an area for everything. We had the ceremony at the gazebo out by the water, the cocktail hour was on the covered back patio area and the reception inside. It was a beautiful night so we had people both inside and outside comfortably throughout the night just hanging out and having a good time. We came and left by boat because the venue is so close to downtown Tampa and the major hotels that we stayed at. We literally had the best experience with this venue! I highly recommend!

The Davis Island Garden Club is a beautiful place! My cousin and I both had our weddings there, and it makes for a beautiful ceremony out at the gazebo, and there are a few different great spots there to get awesome pictures! Then you don't have to travel and go right inside to where you can have your reception! Loved it, and Amber was very good with responding to my texts and sending me pictures! One thing I love about the venue was that you can choose to have your wedding ceremony either inside or outside. I chose to have my ceremony outside and my reception inside. The venue can accommodate up to 250 guests. You definitely cant go wrong with this venue if you are looking for a serene, classy, elegant or garden-themed wedding.

Davis Island Garden Club is a wonderful venue! My husband and I loved the gazebo and the views of the water! We knew right away this was the venue we wanted and I was able to personalize everything.. We were very fortunate to be able to host our rehearsal dinner at the Davis Islands Garden Club. We had a large group (75 people approx.) and we wanted to do something different than the traditional steak house rehearsal dinner. The DIGC was perfect and provided exactly what we were looking for. Adults and children really enjoyed the beautiful club, and the ideal March 31 weather certainly helped out. We used a water taxi service to shuttle guests between the hotel in downtown (Marriott Waterside) and the DIGC, which was a really cool touch for out of town guests. The marina is right by the DIGC and I would suggest the DIGC/water taxi combo to anyone.
The outdoor patio area was ideal for a cocktail hour prior to dinner, and the main banquet hall was already set up with tables and chairs for dinner. The staff was very helpful, especially a security guard who comes at the end of the night to help make sure you get your deposit back.

Quick email response. Michelle was awesome!!!! She accomidated so much I wanted to do a quick rehearsal the day before but nothing was planned there that day so she technically didn't have to work. But I called her and she came to the venue to open the door so I could check on everything. AWESOME!!!!

The garden club was the first venue we visited and I fell in love. It was beautiful and exactly what we were looking for. The garden club is affordable and you get to choose all of your own vendors. Michelle James, the event manager, was always helpful and willing to answer any questions we had. We had so many compliments about our beautiful venue and I would definitely recommend it to anyone!

What an absolutely beautiful venue! It was absolutely perfect! Very spacious & provided the perfect setting. Michelle James, DIGC mgr., is super sweet, very flexible, professional, & very down to earth. If you're looking for an affordable venue for everything w/no strings attached, this is the place! You aren't tied to any venders, you can choose to provide your own food, bar tenders, cake, etc. Some beautiful decor can be supplied by Michelle for an addtl charge but all is very reasonably priced & worth every penny! My only minor complaint was that we were asked to lower the music about 30 min prior to the noise ordinance by a neighborhood guard. Not really a big deal, just a little annoying. Overall, I would recommend this venue a million times over. Made my wedding nothing short of stunning and beautiful! Perfect memories to last a lifetime! Thank you so much Michelle!

I had my wedding at Davis Islands Garden Club on 10/24/14 for 125 people and it was just perfect. Michelle was easy to work with and the location couldn't be more beautiful. One of my favorite things about DIGC is that it's already so pretty you don't have to do too much else with decor. I received so many compliments on how beautiful the venue was. With the water, trees, and foliage making the backdrop you can get some great pictures!
We had the ceremony at the gazebo, cocktail hour on the back patio, dinner inside, dancing back on the patio, and then from 10-11pm (due to the noise ordinance) we went back inside for dancing. The inside isn't anything special. We did some uplighting and the drapes from the ceiling, but that was about it. We didn't feel like spending money on the inside since it was just for eating and (very) late night dancing. The back patio was great for dancing. Just string some lights for the ceiling with a few uplights and it's a great dance floor with plenty of room for the DJ table and bar.
Michelle was great to work with and very flexible with us. I highly recommend DIGC as a venue for your wedding or special event!

We had our reception at DIGC. Michelle was great and met with us on multiple occasions so we could measure something or just look around. The tables and chairs were set up just how we wanted. Beautiful waterfront location with indoor and outdoor options. You can use any vendors you want so it’s easily personalized. I highly recommend this venue!

I've had my event at the Davis Islands Garden club many times over the years. What a great location with a great view of the downtown Tampa skyline. I loved getting married at the Davis Islands Garden Club! The view is amazing!! We got married in February and had the most perfect weather we could ask for! Michelle is the coordinator at The Davis Islands Garden Club and was very prompt at answering my emails or texts. This venue is pretty much a blank canvas for you to do whatever your heart desires! They have chairs you can rent, as well as drapery, pillows for the veranda, cushions for the veranda, and window decor. You don't have to use their stuff, you can bring in ANYTHING you want!! It was the perfect venue for our wedding day! Our guests loved how it was set up and enjoyed the water view. BEAUTIFUL and very REASONABLE pricing!!!

I this venue after shopping for many by the water for my daughters wedding and boy! was I surprised with their fantastic service. The quality was beautiful, Extremely helpful and friendly team, especially Michelle! They produced everything we needed like tables and chairs, just like I wanted it.They had excellent communication. After searching months for a venue we found DIGC and I fell in love immediately. Michelle was awesome and would always meet me whenever I needed to measure something, or just wanted to look around again. I could not have possibly picked a more beautiful venue in a more idyllic location for our wedding. Our guests could not stop talking about the beautiful grounds, the waterfront ceremony area, the patio, and the Garden Room (usually used for indoor receptions). The drapes and cushions made the reception area and patio look so rich and elegant, and the room was the perfect size for our dinner and reception (not too enormous, not too small).
Michelle, the events coordinator, was so incredibly helpful and has a warm, sweet personality that puts you at ease even in your most stressful moments. She was an excellent communicator, and always had helpful advice and information to share while we were hunting down our various vendors. She made sure the grounds were clean and beautiful the morning of, and she communicated with my wedding party (even taking the time to learn everyone's name) while we were all there together setting up the DIYs and seating.
I would recommend saving some money by booking it either during the "slow season", or on a Friday. We had a 5:30 ceremony on a Friday evening, and it worked out perfectly! We were so, so happy we chose the Davis Islands Garden Club.

We got married at Davis Island Garden Club, the only choice for us. DIGC was one of the only venues that allow you to bring in your own catering and booze, a real savings for us, and a great option for brides on a budget. Throughout the venue “shopping” experience I was flustered and annoyed at all of the hidden fees, as well as the high cost of having to not only rent a space, but use that space’s own catering company and/or own bar services. The prices were outrageous and at the end of the day, I’m mostly concerned with giving a great party and not so much about the allure in having a reception in a fancy-schmancy location.
Right on the water, and facing Harbour Island, Davis Island is a beauty. I love the large trees, the expansive patio, the big windows in the reception area, and the fact that it’s a blank slate, allowing us to really design the way that we want. Michelle James is amazing to work with, truly caring about the bride and groom and making everything so easy to understand and get in order. She is very available for questions, multiple tours of the place (as in my case, I am visual and had to view the space over and over again for decor inspiration), and more. Highly, highly recommend.

It is an amazing place to have a wedding. The view is incredible. You also have so much freedom. Beautiful venue. Very professional and great place if you want to choose your caterer and bartender. I am Jamaican decent and having our food served at my wedding was very important to me. I was surprised when searching for venues the lack of openness to diversity in most venues in Tampa. It makes no sense that a place would require you to use their caterers that provide only American, Cuban or Italian food. DIGC understands that Tampa is a diverse place and people should be allowed to bring in their desired caterers.
The venue was great. I love the outdoor space which allows your guest to roam from the waterfront to the huge patio and to the inside and not feel stuck within the four walls. Also we didn't have to decorate much because the venue is kept up so well. All we had were bulb lighting on the patio and some stand up lighting inside, no draping needed. I highly recommend this location for anyone who wants a beautiful waterfront location with freedom to hirer the caterers and bartenders they want.

Michelle from the Davis Island Garden Club was very polite and professional! She would promptly respond to emails and phone calls. The DIGC is a beautiful location and worth the money. It may look very small from the fron of the location but its much bigger inside and when you walk around the back. We very comfortably fit 110 people. It was worth it to us to bring in our own booze and higher a caterer. We also booked the venue for a Friday night because it was slightly cheaper and worked with the holidays. For a fee you can use their beautiful cushions on the patio (just added the right touch of elegance) and other decor they have on hand. There are quite a few rules to follow (trash, cleanup, lighting etc.) if you want your deposit back but my family and wedding planner easily accomplished them all by the end of the night and we were able to get our entire deposit back!

Such a beautiful venue!! I was taken away with the views of the water and downtown tampa! Having our ceremony and reception there caused for beautiful pictures and a beautiful wedding! We had planned for a outside ceremony, but because of the rain we had to move it inside, which ended up to be so romantic. The Davis Islands Garden club is a real gem. They are so affordable and have beautiful water views and offer both a ceremony and reception site. They are extremely flexible, allowing clients to bring in their own alcohol (which saves money), and also allow the use of the outdoor space - which is VERY important if you've been dreaming of an outdoor reception but cannot find anywhere that will allow you to do it. Plus they have indoor space which can be used as backup if it rains, or used for the reception if you want an indoor reception. It's close to downtown hotels and activities for guests, and allows all outside vendors. I recommend this location again and again!!

I had always envisioned my wedding being outside, but a June wedding outside in Florida? Woah! I thought I was out of luck, but then I found the Davis Island Garden Club; a wedding venue that allowed me to have my ceremony outside overlooking the water, dinner inside and dancing under the stars (via the porch). Like others have mentioned this is a hidden gem. Im glad I did not settle for any other venue. Michelle is great to work with and this venue allowed me many unique opportunites to have a creative wedding that was everything I had imagined!!

The Garden Club was absolutely perfect for us. It allowed us a space where we could have our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception all in one place. The price as compared to other local locations was great and you can't beat the location. Additionally, Michelle was great! She was helpful and had such a happy and personable manner. We are so grateful that we were able to have our wedding there, it was absolutely perfect!

Davis Island Garden Club is a gem. It is a beautiful venue on the water that is affordable. It is basically a blank canvas so you can do so much with decor. My guests were mostly from out of town and raved about our reception location! I would recommend it to all future brides.

DIGC was beautiful and we were so glad to be able to book this location. It looks unassuming but it is gorgeous inside and the water view was a great look for our pictures.

This is the most beautiful venue I have ever seen. I cannot say enough how happy and lucky we were to get this venue for our wedding on the exact date we wanted. The location alone is amazing enough, but trying in your own decor is the icing on the cake. We had the freedom of using this gorgeous venue to bring in our own decorations and vendors to make this the most perfect day ever. I highly recommend this venue for your wedding or any special event!!! Michelle was so great helping us along the way and I appreciate it all! Best decision we've ever made!

The setting outside in front of the gazebo was fantastic for the ceremony and the large covered patio was perfect for our cocktail hour. I love that you have the whole place for the entire day and night, it provides a very intimate location for a ceremony and reception. Plus, since the place is a blank slate any color combo looks great and you can add a lot of details yourself. The coordinators there were always very prompt at answering any of my questions leading up to the wedding. This was the perfect place for our wedding!
The only criticism I have is that the white folding chairs should be included in the cost of the rental instead of extra, since you do have to set them up and take the down yourself.

The Davis Islands Graden Club provided us with a beautiful venue for wedding and reception. It was just right for our 100ish guests that attended out wedding. I really don't have any cons for this venue at all. I only have wishes for what would make it better for the money. I felt that for the money that the outside chairs should have been included with the fees, rather than additional. Otherwise, everything provided by the venue was outstanding. All of questions were answered in a timely manner, we had many opportunities to visit the venue before our event in order to plan by seeing the site. I would reccommend this venue to anyone. Beautiful garden wedding, tailored exactly to your style!
I highly recommend Davis Islands Garden Club! The main selling points were the beautiful plants and trees, the waterfront, no vendor restrictions, and the fact that it’s a blank slate! We were able to bring in all of our own vendors and decor, which allowed us to transform the space into exactly what we wanted. :) Our guests raved about the venue. It was absolutely perfect. Amber was responsive throughout the planning process and the rental price is very fair! It’s a great value.

Davis Islands Garden Club provided us the perfect backdrop for our special day.
We couldn't have envisioned a more naturally beautiful place to get married. They provided us a nice slot of time on the day of our wedding, and we really appreciated the events they put on throughout the year leading up to our special day that helps couples find vendors and just see the venue transform.
We also loved that there is so much versatility with the space! The sky was really the limit when it came to how we wanted everything set up.
And we believed the price to be extremely fair for such a beautiful location.
We'd highly recommend Davis Islands Garden Club!

Beautiful Spring Wedding
This venue is absolutely beautiful for an outdoor/indoor wedding & reception. It’s a blank slate and you can use any vendor of your choice. Their price includes all day, full use of the facility as well as misc vintage tables, banquet tables and folding chairs. Amber (Events manager) and my wedding coordinator connected very well and she was very flexible with providing access to view the venue when needed. Everything we requested was in place and our wedding day turned out amazing and beautiful.

Davis Island Garden Club was an amazing location for our wedding. The location is perfect right on the water with the Tampa skyline. The private venue was picturesque and exactly what we wanted for our big day. Amber was very helpful, professional and easy to work with throughout the entire process. I would definitely suggest hiring a professional day of coordinator and a team of people to clean up. This venue is very DIY. When your event concludes there is security staff that makes sure all the requirements are meet per the contract. You have to rerack all the rented chairs in a dark shed in a very specific way. All trash has to be taken to the dumpsters. One of the security guards was somewhat rude to my mom and told her she needed to pick up an empty beer bottle on a table when they were cleaning up. I regret not getting a clean up crew so my family and bridal party didn't have to do it at the end of the night, but other than that it was perfect! I would highly recommend DIGC to any bride looking for a dream location to have their big day!

I am so glad I stumble upon DIGC. I had a destination wedding and this was the last venue I reserved for a tour. Boy am I lucky I was able to get in at such short notice. It is a wonderful venue, you can literally do anything you want. I am thankful for Amber for suggesting my wedding planner as well. It is so beautiful outside as well, the gazebo, the water. I did not get to enjoy it on my wedding day as it was raining but they rearranged everything on the patio and it was still so beautiful. I am so happy with our decision to use DIGC and everything turned out well. Would definitively recommend this place.

This venue is beyond gorgeous!! We had the ceremony outside and reception inside. I was scared about the afternoon showers coming but we got lucky and the day was perfect!! The breeze was amazing for my guest, not hot at all! I have recommended this venue to all my friends getting married soon! I wish I could have another event here just because of how gorgeous it is!

We absolutely loved this venue for our wedding ceremony. Once the decor was set both indoors and outdoors, it was just breathtaking. Our guests raved at how beautiful our ceremony was and the location was prime for a Spring wedding. Michelle was so helpful from the beginning and up until the actual wedding day. She was very prompt in answering calls and texts and would always make time to open up the venue for me. I highly recommend this venue for those who want a nice intimate wedding. We had about 140 guests and we still managed to make a dance floor indoors without feeling congested or crammed. The only con to this venue is that it really is a DIY project so make sure you have a great planner. Thank God I did, she made my vision come to life!

The DIGC is the best indoor/outdoor location for a wedding! The outside is beautifully maintained and you can't beat being on the water, with views of the city skyline. The outdoor patio is great for cocktail hour and the inside is big enough to hold many tables plus a good sized dance floor, but small enough to provide an intimate feel for the wedding. As soon as we visited we knew this was the place for us. Almost all of our guests commented on how beautiful the location was.
Michelle and Tiffany were very helpful and were always quick to reply to emails. We couldn't be happier with our choice to get married here.

This is a Beautiful place! However I did not give it 5 stars for Value Because for what you pay to rent the place you have to pay extra to have chairs outside for the ceremony and white ones on the inside, if not you get the brown ones that are included then you have to get chaircovers anyway. Michelle James is very nice and you can get the rentals through her and she does a great job to dress the place up just know she is not a wedding coordinator. Its great because you have the place to yourself all day. I loved it, it was a great place to have a wedding overall.

What an absolutely beautiful venue for a wedding. We had a wedding with 150 guests and it was just the perfect size. We were able to have a full sit down meal inside with a dance floor, dj, cake cutting, picture booth, gift table and more. The outside covered patio provide an amazing space for the cocktail hour, second bar and live band later in the evening. The backdrop of the Hillsborough River and downtown Tampa make for a once in a lifetime experience for any of your out of town guests. The flexibility of the space allows you to create any type of ambiance to match your personality and having the venue for the entire day allows all of your vendors that ability to not be rushed and create an amazing event experience. I highly recommend this venue if you want your guest to experience an unforgettable event.

I chose Davis Island Garden Club as my wedding venue! The venue/staff was amazing. In response to a comment below on the price of the cushions being too high, I can recommend a great company that does the cushions and drapes for a much better price for the same quality. Call Keli at 727.437.8617. Her pricing includes delivery, set up, and pick up!
