  The first thing my new husband said to me when we returned home from our wedding was "David is a true professional." Pretty impressive for the first thing your new husband says after the best night of your life. Every time I turned around, David was there capturing the moment. He was never MIA or hard to find, he followed our desired shot list, and reminded us when it was time to gather and helped pull people together. I would recommend him a million times over.

  David captured our wedding day perfectly!! We wanted a mix of both posed and action/natural shots (with more of a focus on the latter) – and he most definitely delivered on that. David did a fantastic job ensuring that we would have memories from all aspects of our day – from my arrival to candid shots of our family and friends to the spectacular food during the cocktail hour and reception to the beautiful setting at Blue Hill at Stone Barns to the speeches and dancing. And he did so in a manner that he wasn't "in the way." While doing posed shots is always a bit awkward and not very fun (for us at least!), David did his best to move me and my husband as well as our family and wedding party through it all as quickly as possible. Also, he quickly delivered our photos for viewing. Would definitely recommend David for a quality job at a reasonable price.

  David Willems stayed throughout the wedding but was very unobtrusive. He had very inventive and adapted to the changing circumstances, time constraints and unexpected events. So far what we have seen of the images - many are breathtakingly beautiful. He engaged with the wedding couple as individuals. Yes, there are always stock photographs and groupings at weddings but he captured the spirit of the people and the event.

  David Willems was the photographer for my wedding at a venue in Brooklyn in May 2013. He was extremely responsive, accommodating and flexible on the day of the wedding, as well as the weeks/months leading up to the event. He went on his own to look at the venue before the day of the wedding, as he had not worked there before. We corresponded before the wedding about list of formal photo shots and our priorities in general - he was very understanding and made the preparation process very easy. He agreed to add an assistant shooter as a substitute for another aspect of his regular package, at my request, because my fiance and I were getting ready in different locations. On the day of the wedding, he was was flexible, responsive and inconspicuous - he got all the shots I asked for without taking a long time or disrupting the events of the day (any more than was necessary). Most importantly, the photos were beautiful - David did such an amazing job of capturing both the essence and little details of the day. When I look at the pictures, I feel as if I could step right back into my wedding - which is exactly what I wanted. Lastly, David delivered the photos extremely quickly after the wedding - I couldn't believe it! No hassles at all during any part of the process. I highly recommend David - he was a pleasure to work with.
