We are now two months removed from our wedding on September 1st - enough time to decompress and see many of the friends and family that attended the wedding.
The two constants we have heard from every person who was there: "you guys got lucky with the weather", and "WOW, that band was amazing!!" My wife and I totally agree. DRS Music absolutely crushed it at our wedding.
We had initially heard about DRS Music from one of my groomsmen, who attended a cousin's wedding at which DRS Music played. He gave a full endorsement, and we were on board. We reached out to David Rothstein well in advance of our wedding and he responded right away. We were on board.
The process for preparing for the wedding with David was great. David is personable and charming, and you can tell he cares a ton about his clients and understands how momentous a day it was to be. The DRS Music library of songs is HUGE. Even still, I had a special request for our Mother-Son dance, and the band learned it and played it just for us.
On top of that, my wife and I did a special "Parents" dance involving the myriad step parents in our family with a unique medley song that David helped put together. And again, it was executed beautifully.
When it came to the actual dancing - man, what can be said. The band crushed. Every musician was talented and got a time to shine. They played the hits, and some up-tempo renditions of slower songs that were super creative. Our friend hopped on the mic for a song, and the lead singer was happy to cheer her on. Nearly every guest stayed til the final song of the night - no one was willing to leave! They were that good.
David played a wonderful MC for the night; gracious and funny throughout.
Altogether, DRS Music blew everyone away and made our day that much more incredible. Nothing ruins a wedding like a lame band, but nothing makes it unforgettable like a great one like this. I'd absolutely recommend them to anyone doing a wedding or other event in the Chicago area. 10/10. -

We chose the David Rothstein band for our wedding, and we are so happy we did! They coordinated the music for our ceremony and reception, and it was all perfect! David was quick to reply to all our questions leading up to the wedding, and took all our requests into consideration. The ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner music was all beautiful! We chose the 11 piece orchestra for our reception, and we are so happy we did. They were so fun and the vocalists were amazing! Everyone told us how amazing the band was, and everyone was on the dance floor all night! We all had such a fun night! We can't thank David and the band enough for a wonderful night! We are so happy we chose them for our wedding! -

I had DRS Music in mind for live music at our wedding even before we picked the venue! I did my fair share of research on various live bands/musicians early on during our engagement, and when the time finally came to choose, I knew we HAD to work with DRS Music—what sold me initially was a combination of the transparency on their website, the consistent 5-star reviews I read across several sites, and the raw video footage of the talented musicians in action. I knew we made the right decision as soon as we got in touch with David. When I first submitted my inquiry for availability of the jazz trio for our wedding reception dinner, David responded probably within a day--the fastest of all the vendors I previously reached out to! Instead of an email in response, he called me directly, which is something I greatly appreciated, especially when a lot of wedding planning can feel like a waiting game. I was worried I wouldn't be able to find live music for our wedding given that it was a very small and intimate affair. David reassured me that he's all about celebrating US and what we want out of our wedding. Whether your wedding is “big” or “small,” David will work with you to find the best option for your special day. From our initial call, to getting him in touch with our venue event coordinator, David was nothing but responsive and supportive throughout the entire process. Closer to our wedding date, he sent over a questionnaire that asked my husband and I to share the details of our love story and the music we wanted played at our reception. David noted that we love the show, "Lost," and he had a special poster with our photo on it created just for us and for all our guests to sign. Throughout the night, the jazz trio played BEAUTIFULLY all the songs/genres we requested, and David was available to communicate with throughout the evening and served as our MC. We received compliments from our family all night and even after our wedding about David and the jazz trio. At our request, the trio learned our first dance, mother/son, and father/daughter dances; they played the most beautiful renditions of our favorite classics, really setting the mood for a special night. My dad, who loves live music, was in tears before he even made it to the dance floor when he heard the trio play “What a Wonderful World” for our father/daughter dance. On top of an unforgettable night, David offered to take our floral arrangements to a nursing home, where he dropped them off the following morning for another person to enjoy :) I cannot recommend DRS Music enough! The 5-star reviews about DRS Music speak for themselves, offering genuine praise for the musicians' unmatched professionalism and incredible talent. David, in particular, shines not only as a captivating MC but also as a pleasure to collaborate with, ensuring every event is seamless and unforgettable. Thank you David, Adrian (piano), Nate (saxophone), and Joshua (double bass) for sharing your talents with us and our family on a night we won’t soon forget! -

We got married on August 17, 2024 at The Abbey in Fontana, WI. The David Rothstein Band was a preferred vendor for The Abbey. While the band was ~2x our original budget toward music, it was 1,000% worth it. David Rothstein is communicative, responsive, and detail-oriented. Throughout our planning process, he got to know Dan and me and realized Billy Joel was one of our favorite artists. As a wedding present, the band presented autographed sheet music for "New York State of Mind," given Dan and I met in New York, and an autographed photo of Billy Joel and asked our guests to sign the back of each frame. They're now hanging in our living room and are a perfect reminder of the best night of our lives! We'd recommend DRS to ANY individual looking for a total banger of a party! -

We hired David Rothstein's music company for our August 2024 wedding and they are absolutely wonderful and I highly recommend! We went with the piano/violinist for the ceremony, jazz trio for cocktail hour /dinner, and a DJ with saxophone player for dancing. We couldn't have been happier with the experience. I wanted live music for most of the wedding but knew I wanted a DJ for the danicng. This was the perfect set! All of the live muscians were incredibly professional, highly skilled, and contributed to an amazing atmospohere of live music for the evening. The DJ was also incredible!! David of course was a wonderful emcee and was super helpful for the planning process! We had a great time dancing the night away. Overall 10/10 experience!!! -

David Rothstein Music was the first vendor we hired! From the moment we got off the initial call with him - we just knew this band was going to deliver! David was great in his communicating and planning. He not only has his band but he MC'd the reception to keep the flow going! All I wanted was people to dance and our wedding and my hope was exceeded because how great the band was! They invited the groom on stage to sing Country Roads, allowed my little cousin to dance on stage, they learned new songs that were special to us. Hiring this band was worth every penny and more! I cant say enough how amazing they were!!! -

My wife and I cannot say enough good things about DRSMusic. David was wonderful to work with. He was so prompt and responsive throughout our entire planning period. The musicians in the band were so talented, that we are still continuing to get compliments from our guests on how we had the best band at our wedding. Calling this a wedding band doesn't even do justice, it is a musical experience beyond what I've ever seen at an event! Their talent is out of this world and David will work with you to have THE most perfect and curated experience. We had a non-traditional wedding gala that we wanted to be musically-forward, and David himself put together the most ambient flow and was the perfect MC to deliver on it. We had a violinist greeting guests, a jazz trio during cocktail hour, a serenading violist during dinner, and finishing with an 11-piece orchestra (highly recommend upgrading to get the additional brass instruments!!). Even down to the small details, David had the band wear black bow ties to fit our theme and made sure even little request was accounted for. Beyond the talent of the band, a great feature is that the band covers a wide range of music and will take requests to learn new songs so you're never stuck with the usual top 40s wedding songs. Working with David Rothstein band is the most fun and refreshing experience! Couldn't recommend more highly. -

I could not speak more highly of David Rothstein Music. My husband and I hired them for our May 2023 wedding in Chicago. They were one of the absolute best decisions we made for our wedding. We knew from the beginning that we wanted to invest in a band and to “do it right.” After looking at so many glowing reviews, watching YouTube videos, and talking with David for almost an hour about what we were looking for and what he could offer, we booked him quickly before someone else could snag our date! We are SO glad that we did. We ultimately went with the classical trio for our ceremony music, jazz trio for cocktail hour, and 10-piece band + DJ for the reception!
Throughout the entire planning process, David was right there by our side. His enthusiasm, expertise, and talented group of musicians are truly unmatched. We had so much ease going into our wedding day knowing that he had our backs and that no matter what, we and our guests would have a blast on the dance floor all night.
David really listened to our desires and helped us craft a reception that emphasized who we are as a couple. We gave a very long list of songs we wanted to hear and they were able to hit the vast majority of them! David was an excellent MC, helping the whole night flow seamlessly. He also gave us a surprise sentimental gift that all of our guests got to sign and donated some of our florals to a nursing home the next day! These are just examples of the care and attention he gives his couples.
The band was simply awesome. We had a packed dance floor all night long- exactly what we wanted and envisioned for our reception! We have heard from countless guests that it was the best band they’ve ever seen at a wedding. The videos are so great but truly don’t even begin to capture the energy in that room.
The additional ceremony music package also worked out great and David provided a microphone for us to use. The musicians were so flexible on what turned out to be a typical Chicago spring day, when we were unsure whether or not we were going to be able to have the ceremony outside as planned, or have to relocate.
We could not recommend David Rothstein Music enough. Do yourself a favor and hire them for your wedding or event! -

David and his band are incredible! The one thing my husband and I wanted was to have a band who could read the crowd and play great music....they gave us that and so much more. We gave two song requests to David and he took care of the rest! It was so nice to leave it up to the experts and not have to worry about what songs should be played when. Our wedding guests complimented the band all night long and still are! David made the planning process easy and was always accessible when he needed to be. If you are wondering whether or not to book this band, just do it! -

David Rothstein, the only name you'll ever need for your musical needs at your wedding or any other social event. He's hands-on in the lead up to events, always available and a great communicator, and follows through on everything he says. Working with him was the easiest part of our wedding planning process. At our wedding itself, David was a hilarious MC with infectious energy & enthusiasm while perfectly balancing in being subtle when needed. The band was incredible I was in awe of the singer performing Whitney Houston songs and the Sax + DJ to end the night was such a perfect touch. Our group loves a little karaoke action, and his band welcomed both my uncle and my beautiful bride to join them and sing their favorite songs. For my wife and I, that was the best night of our lives, and David Rothstein Music made that happen. -

David Rothstein Music is simply amazing. From our very first conversation, we immediately noticed how detail-oriented, organized and professional David and his team were. David is a wonderful communicator- incredibly prompt and responsive, which was so appreciated during the wedding planning process. David would always answer our emails or texts within minutes/hours- never ignored a question, comment or message. He was always open to having a phone conversation with us, even if was about the simplest of things. As a couple communicating with multiple vendors, David was one of the best, if not the best vendor we had the pleasure of working with.
My now husband and I never felt like we were just “another couple planning a wedding” when interacting with David. He made our wedding feel personal from the moment we started working together. We had a LOT of different ideas for how we could incorporate some family traditions and fun/unique ideas into our day and David was ALL about it. He thrives on making weddings feel very personal/customized and not “just another wedding.” He worked with us to help make our vision of having a family member join the band and perform a few Elvis songs, played “walk up” songs for our maid of honor and best man as they were announced for their speeches, played the exact songs we requested as our guests entered the reception, and worked with us to make our vision of a “moonlight dance” with just us two (as our guests were exiting) a reality. One of the most impressive parts about David’s service was something we didn’t know about until the wedding was over- David actually worked very closely with my mom and dad to coordinate music and other details for my dad’s father of the bride speech. My dad had a song written for us and planned out a little skit. David had multiple posters made with the lyrics and photos of our family on it, and coordinated all the details with my parents to ensure everything worked out perfectly for my dad’s speech. It was perfect.
In addition to all of the behind the scenes planning, the band itself was truly impeccable- so interactive with our wedding guests, incredibly talented and entertaining. We still get compliments about our wedding band months and months later. Lastly, David himself was very active throughout the reception. This is something very unique to DRM- David isn’t on stage performing with the band, he is the emcee and facilitator throughout the night. Again, without knowing it in the moment, David took photos and videos of the band, and us/our guests dancing, and sent these to us the next day. We didn’t have our photographer/videographer stay for much of the dancing part of the reception, so the photos and videos that David took are some of the only footage we have from those hours of the night, which we will cherish forever. All in all, choosing David and his team for our wedding was one of the best decisions we made when planning our wedding day. Thank you David and team, so much, for helping us celebrate the best day of our lives! -

David and his band are truly amazing. You're probably reading other reviews, thinking "sure, everyone says their band is amazing" - but no, David is truly in a league of his own. First off, David is essentially a wedding planner on his own - throughout the planning process, David proactively reached out to us to check in and guided us through not just band-specific questions, but also answering other questions we had about the wedding. He provided templates and potential timelines to help us think through our day, and scheduled time to go over them with us. On the day of the wedding, his band was absolutely spectacular - we had a Jazz Trio during cocktail hour, who set the mood perfectly, and were extremely talented. When it came time to move from Cocktail Hour to the Reception for dinner, David acted as wedding planner, helping to gently guide people into the room to find their seats. He then became the most eloquent MC, first introducing us to "Everlasting Love" and then guiding us to our cake cutting to "How Sweet it is" (his suggestion). In addition, for each speech, he not only introduced the speaker, but was waiting for them afterwards with a glass of champagne.
You may have seen that David likes to do something special for his couples - he is truly SO thoughtful. Our last name is Armor, and my husband is a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan - David got a real steel helmet (from a suit of armor) for us and had all of our guests sign it! It is truly something we will treasure forever. Not only that, but David recommended that we seal the helmet, and for several days afterwards, has sent suggestions on the best sealant to use, even going so far as to go to Home Depot and ask for me! If you can't tell, the theme here is that David always goes above and beyond.
In terms of the band during the Reception - I mean, just WOW. Every single musician, from the incredible vocalists, to the DJ who could also rap, to the percussionist on the Bongo drums who also played the Violin, and everyone in between was just SO TALENTED. At one point, the horn section came onto the dance floor and really got the dancing jumpstarted again! It feels like half of my guests came up to me individually to tell me how amazing the band was - both during the wedding and after, and the compliments continue to trickle in. If I could have my wedding again, I'd hire David in a heartbeat - my husband and I keep reliving it - through photos and videos that David has sent us! While we are waiting for our professional pictures and videos, it is so wonderful to have all the content that David captured to relive our special night. I truly can't say enough good things - David Rothstein and his band are the best of the best, both in character and in musical talent! -

Stop What You're Doing and Book This Band
From our first phone call with David, through the end of our reception, David and his team provided unparalleled service. The band is fantastic and your guests are guaranteed to have a great night. David's ability to "captain" the ship throughout the night is similarly unrivaled. The icing on the cake, of course, is his ability to add a unique touch to your event. (I mean, what other band leader would provide us an authentic replica of Tom Cruise's Top Gun jacket for guests to sign?!) Do yourself a favor and stop your search. Book this band today! -

One word - INCREDIBLE! We first heard of David Rothstein through a friend who used them at their wedding, and he did not disappoint. From the very beginning David Rothstein was amazing to work with. During the upfront planning process, he was always extremely friendly, responsive, and accommodating - we never doubted that our wedding music would be in good hands. We hired the jazz trio for our cocktail hour and the 10-piece band with Sinatra singer for the reception. One of the most common pieces of feedback we receive from our guests is 'I couldn't believe your dance floor was full the whole time!' or 'I don't like to dance but this band kept me dancing all night!' The instrumentalists and singers were incredibly talented and fun, even interacting with the crowd throughout the night. When we were planning our wedding, we knew that having good music was a non-negotiable, and we are SO glad we went with DRM - 100% worth it!! -

David Rothstein Music was an AMAZING wedding band! It was very important to my husband and I to have great live music to listen to that kept the dance floor packed all night and David Rothstein Music delivered! The musicians are incredibly talented and were perfect for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception. The guests were SO impressed by the band's talent and were impressed with us for having hired them! David made the entire experience so easy and smooth. He is incredibly responsive prior to the wedding, kept us informed and excited leading up to the day, did a great job keeping the event running smoothly, and even surprised us with a thoughtful wedding gift. They go above and beyond prior to the event and then on the day. They played all of our requests and learned new music to make our day special for us. We always ranked the music as the number one priority for our wedding, and we’re so glad we entrusted David Rothstein Band to bring our party to life. Planning a wedding during Covid had many challenges, including not being able to see the band live, but thankfully, David has so many live videos available where we can see the entertainment his band delivers day in and day out. Those videos, along with David’s passion for his work, made us confident to chose his team to make our day special.
For our wedding, we had a classical duo during the ceremony, a pianist during cocktail hour, a jazz trio during dinner, and an incomparable 10 piece orchestra to dance the night away. From the first note to the final encore, we were BLOWN AWAY with the talent and energy that the band brought. We had a few special requests for the night - from a unique arrangement for our ceremony processional to a mashup of New York songs during the reception - and David’s team was beyond accommodating.
We had dancing for 3 hours straight and not once did anyone leave the floor - the band was able to feel the energy in the room and chose the right song for the moment. I stumbled across the ingoing setlist after the party and was actually surprised to see that the band didn’t even stick to the songs they had picked - a sign that they adjusted based on what the crowd was loving. It’s been nearly a month since the big day and people keep telling us how amazing the music was, and we can’t stop watching the many videos David took from the night, reliving the magic that his band created.

We hired David Rothstein and his band for our December wedding and they were amazing! We had everyone out on the dance floor all night long. His singers and musicians are very talented and played a great set of music. He also did a great job of keeping the night running smoothly and introducing all speeches.
David was great to work with leading up to the event. He was very responsive and always willing to jump on a call. I could tell that he really cares about every event that he does and truly wants to make things special. He even let me and my husband sing with the band (we are not very good singers). I would highly recommend hiring David for your wedding or any special event. He will make the night extremely memorable and special. -

We made the decision to postpone our wedding from 2020 to 2021 for one main reason: we wanted to have a wedding where our guests could dance and enjoy David Rothstein Music. It truly wouldn’t be a wedding celebration without live music..and we are SO glad we waited! The 10 piece band was THE best part of our wedding! They read the crowd and performed songs based on their reactions/energy. We had the jazz trio and a DJ perform during dinner…perfect way to get the entertainment started. For our first dance, David brought in a violinist virtuoso to accompany our harpist; what a special treat that was! After the band ended, we closed the night out with a DJ trio: DJ, saxophone and drums. Everyone was so surprised, even at the end of the night! Our guests wouldn’t leave the dance floor until the music ended.
David Rothstein cares about every couple and listens to what their musical preferences are. Even for a whole year of being postponed, he communicated continually and kept the enthusiasm and faith in such an unsettling pandemic time. He was incredibly flexible in rescheduling and very accommodating. In addition, he took time to know us as a couple; something truly special that you will understand the immense importance of on your wedding day. We would HIGHLY recommend David Rothstein Music if you want an instant connection with your wedding band and for your dance floor to be packed with guests dancing the night way. (And still raving about the music!) Worth every penny! Thank you for making our wedding so magical! -

Incredible Energy - Best money spent on Wedding
If you are looking for a band that will leave your guests talking about The Best Reception ever, look no further! My son and daughter-in-law had The David Rothstein band at their wedding/reception and it was the first vendor my daughter booked after getting engaged. David was quick to respond and work with us on dates available, and even made changes on the date when dealing with covid restrictions. The energy and excitement started from the very first moment they played during the pre-ceremony (violin and piano), and continued throughout the night at the reception all the way to the firework send off. With so many expenses for a memorable wedding, this was by far the best money spent on our daughters wedding!! If you want your guests talking about your amazing wedding celebration, this is the band to hire! Thank you David and your entire band!! -

When beginning to plan our wedding, which took place on 8/21/21 in South Bend, IN. the band was one of the very first things we booked because we knew we HAD to have them! David Rothstein Music played for not just one, but two of my sisters weddings in years prior, and based on their experiences we knew they were a no brainer! From the very start, David makes you feel not just like another client, but a friend, and truly wants to get to know you as a couple. The music planning process was smooth, fun, and efficient. David is always quick to answer any calls or emails and cares about what you want. We even made a couple of changes a week before the wedding and it was no problem for them at all. We used the bands modern quartet for the ceremony, jazz trio at cocktail hour, and the 11 piece orchestra for dancing during the reception. We didn’t even give the band many specific requests for the reception because they are experts at reading the crowd and knowing what to play. The proof of that was on the dance floor and packed it was! Our guests continued to tell us weeks after the wedding how incredible the band was and how much fun they had. David even created a very personalized gift for us, based on how we met, and had all of our guests sign it! It is one of my favorite keepsakes from the wedding. As the MC, David makes sure the night flows smoothly, and everything is executed as planned. Not to mention he is incredibly fun and energetic and truly just so great to work with! You won’t regret booking David Rothstein Band! -

We worked with David Rothstein Music for our September 2021 wedding in Chicago!! They made our wedding the best experience it could possibly be! We used them for our Ceremony and Reception and they made both an amazing experience! Booking our band was probably the BIGGEST decision for us for our 9/4/21 wedding at Notre Dame..and David Rothstein Music not only met, but crazily exceeded, all of our expectations. Since our friends and families were traveling in from all over the country for our celebration, it was so important to show them the party of the century...and the DRS ten-piece orchestra did JUST that! We asked them to do an "East Coast style" music-setup, where there is dancing between all the dinner courses. It couldn't have been more perfect or a better party, and was exactly what we envisioned...our dance floor was literally jam-packed--from the moment the reception started until the last song. Almost every single one of our guests reached out to us in the days after the wedding and without fail their text or call would always mention "THAT AMAZING DANCE FLOOR!!" DRS helped us create the happy, joyful celebration we wanted and we cannot thank the entire band enough for their insane talent. Not only was the orchestra incredible, but the jazz trio kicked off our cocktail hour with such a fun and beautiful ambiance--it helped create the most welcoming and beautiful vibe off the bat.
Of course, part of the reason why the entire experience is so amazing from start to finish is because David himself is at the helm, and he is truly one of the nicest, kindest people ever. What stuck out to me when I was booking/why we decided to go with David is that I felt like I was chasing other bands to contact me back or give me information, and they were much more concerned off the bat with sending me price sheets or spitting THEIR info at me. David took the time to get to know us from the very first conversation and has a happy, positive demeanor that makes you remember what's really important about the day. We instantly felt like we were in the best hands with David and his band, and that gut feeling turned out to be more than accurate. One last thing I'll say is that David honored every single request we had for song choices, parent announcements, last song requests...he is so detail-oriented and his thoughtfulness made the reception so personal to us. He even shouted out the birthday of one of our guests and the band played a quick "Happy birthday" which was so fun and special. We can't thank him or the band enough for the wedding and party of a lifetime.

One of the best decisions we made for our wedding! David Rothstein is extremely professional and made our wedding so much fun. The band is OUTSTANDING! All night, guests were complimenting how great the band was. The dance floor was packed all night long! We are so happy we hired them for our special day. My husband and I made a few things our priority for the wedding day, and a band was one of them, because that is what your guests will remember- great music and a good time. There is only one way to go for wedding reception music: David Rothstein Music! The performers are incredible. They play great traditional wedding songs along with current hits that make everyone, including the shy people in the family, gravitate to the dance floor. David Rothstein Music is unfamiliar with those awkward lulls at a reception when the dance floor is empty. David keeps things going all night long by interacting with the bride and groom and their family and friends. He's funny, entertaining, and loves what he does. He'll even dance with you! Our guests can't stop talking about how great the band was and how awesome David is. Trust me on this, you will have the time of your life if you hire David Rothstein Music. -

We hired David Rothstein for our music & entertainment for our wedding in March. Great music was a priority for us from the beginning, so we did our research. When we finally met with David, he was excited to work with us and personalize his music services to what we wanted. Throughout our planning, he was super responsive and quick to give us advice or recommendations if we needed help. He added a few extras into our packages–like a solo saxophonist for a guest welcome and a modern trio ceremony ensemble–both of which made a statement for how epic and classy the night would be! We also had a jazz trio play for cocktail hour and dinner! But the best part by far with the 11 piece band! They read the crowd and played exactly the right songs to keep the dance floor going! They continuously interacted with the crowd in a classy way that our guests loved! It has been 4 weeks since our wedding night, and our guests cannot stop talking about the great music we had! On top of all of this, David was the emcee. He kept the night organized and moving–and even gave us a personalized gift for our guests to sign! -

The BEST wedding decision we made! David was the consummate professional guiding me through the entire process (part therapist, part wedding planner, complete musical genius!). The music was the highlight of our wedding....we could have skipped the food, flowers and alcohol (ok, maybe not the alcohol) and people would have still loved it! Thank you David! -

We had 266 guests at our wedding ranging from 3 years old all the way 87, and DRM had EVERY guest (yes, the 3 year old and also the 87 year olds) on the dance floor. They did a beautiful job playing a perfect rendition of such wide ranges of music and also did a wonderful job of working alongside my now husband and I as we worked to guide them through our musical preferences leading up to the wedding. HIGHLY recommend this band as vendors will truly be the 'ingredients' of your BIG day. They aren't the least expensive, but you ABSOLUTELY get what you pay for and it's worth every bit. We also did the Frank Sinatra vocalist and he was the BEST touch for the dinner portion of the night. Last but not least...those horns were out of this WORLD and David was a joy to work with from start to finish.

Andrea Sent on 10/31/2017We have been married a little over five months now and people are still talking about how awesome our band was at our wedding! David Rothstein, and every single one of his FABULOUS musicians, made our wedding so incredibly special and memorable!
It was such a pleasure working with David during our planning process. He was always very prompt in his responses, whether it would be just answering a simple question, or setting up time to do a more extensive call on the phone. David is very knowledgeable about the entire company, and is a musician himself, so he really knows what makes for great music!
We wish we could rate them with more than five stars! Everything fell into place beautifully on our wedding day and we wish we could see them at more events.
As a client, we had access to their extensive playlist for the reception. What was really great also was that we were able to pick out the songs we wanted from the strings list for our ceremony. David really went above and beyond helping us customize our songs for our entire ceremony. He also was very flexible and accommodating when we told him about a few surprises we had planned for the reception!
One thing we thought was exceptional was the fact that David worked so closely with our wedding planner, and helped with some of the details for the day. That really made everything flow smoothly and the day was perfect!
The string quartet had to make a couple of adjustments for our ceremony, as far as the actual location itself, but everything worked out well and they sounded great! There was a jazz trio playing during the cocktail hour which was a very nice touch!
The 11 piece band we had for the reception was probably one of our favorite wedding bands we have ever heard! The musicians were so incredibly talented and the dance floor was packed all night long! We would highly recommend David Rothstein Music for any event! -

Kelsey Sent on 10/28/2017BEST BAND IN CHICAGO!!! My wedding was 5 weeks ago and I am still speechless and in awe over the David Rothstein Band! I am still getting compliments left and right over how phenomenal the band was - they literally had everyone from my grandparents to the flower girl/ring bearer dancing the night away. David was so easy to work with. My parents and I have varying tastes in music and David helped us pick songs that would pull in all of our interests. He also single handedly helped us work through our wedding day agenda which was no small feat. He held my hand through this scary process and helped make our wedding dreams come true. From the moment, my parents, husband, and I saw David Rothstein band perform we knew that they would not only be a wonderful addition to our wedding day, but would be the highlight in making our wedding an absolute blast! Lastly, David cares so much - he spent the time emailing our college professor from the class where we originally met in undergrad and brought a copy of the textbook we used for that class to the wedding for everyone to sign. He also obtained a copy of our first dance choreography so he could time the music to match what we had rehearsed. He literally is the kindest man that wants to make your wedding day to be absolutely flawless! You cannot go wrong with David!!! Literally, take the stress out of the decision of finding a wedding band and just pick David Rothstein right now - you won't go wrong!
