Unbelievable! ❤️

There is not a word written or thought spoken that can adequately express the professional quality and beauty of our wedding pictures produced on one of the most important days of our life. On a day when the bride is nervous and worried about every aspect of the wedding, this was one area that I did not have any concerns! David was a silent comforting person in the background capturing my every beautiful tender moment of our day. I cannot express how thankful I am with how he captured the emotion and true feelings from the moment we arrived until we left the country club… Without hesitation, I highly recommend this photographer for any event needs you might have!!!

Very Professional and Great to Work With

David did a great job keeping the wedding party non track and maximizing the allotted time we had with him. He was so very generous with his time and we so appreciated his suggestions and we are so glad to have him take photos of our sons wedding. I highly recommend him.

David is Fabulous!

What can I say, we picked a swelteringly hot August day to get married but David muscled through it! He is a delight to work with and I’m loving the sneak peeks (see below), can’t wait to see all the pictures.
He’ll work his booty off for you, so don’t hesitate to add him to your vendor team! He spent 7 hours with us (make sure to include him in the guest count) and that was more than enough time, however our wedding was on the small side.

The absolute best photographer!!

David was nothing short of amazing. He is very easy to work with and is so fast on turnaround! He has a great eye for lighting and the perfect pictures. The wedding is over however his pictures have allowed me to relive it day after day and I am so thankful I chose him!!

From the first phone call, David was extremely helpful in not only giving us tips for great photos but also about the surrounding area as we were from out of town. He was very calm during the event and took some creative shots. We love our pictures and the professional service David provided.

One word.... Phenomenal

If you are looking for a wedding photographer do not thing twice! Book David Now! David comes highly recommended and you do not want any other photographer. David communicates swiftly, he is professional, and very personable. His prices are very reasonable and he is flexible. My pictures turned out gorgeous! David captured every shot. Once I viewed all of the pictures, they told a story. I did not need a videographer because he captured every moment. I am beyond pleased with David. He gets a 10 out of 10. Thank me later :)

Great photographer

David Payne photography was wonderful to work with. He was accommodating and listened to what type of pictures we wanted. He was also able to Photoshop out imperfections.

Amazing Photographer!!

We hired Dave for our June 7, 2019 wedding. We received our photos the other day and are in love with Dave and Debbie's work! My husband and I were impressed with his quick delivery of the photos and overall professionalism throughout the entire wedding process. He got the photos to us within the time frame that he said he would. Our wedding plans changed multiple times, yet Dave was always so patient and easy-going which helped ease my stress. Some mishaps happened on our wedding day, but both Dave and his wife handled it with grace and put us as ease about it. He was very flexible with talking on the phone (I am an hour behind him and have to work pretty late in the evenings). My husband and I are both self-conscious about getting photos taken, but Dave has a way of easing his clients and getting pictures without making you feel uncomfortable. We felt like professional models on that day with his guidance. We highly recommend Dave and Debbie. Thank you so much!

So many beautiful photos!

Dave was very professional and worked with us to capture all of our magical moments! He had some great ideas with taking our photos at certain time of the afternoon and evening to get the perfect natural lighting. He was very patient with me while I planned everything with him over the phone. He even showed up to my venue during my tasting to meet me in person and finalize the little details (I live in San Diego and married in Knoxville)! I would highly recommend him to anyone who is in need of a professional and personable wedding photographer!

we were an out of town wedding. David was so responsive and so incredibly helpful. Any time I had questions he was able to answer the phone or even email (which worked better for me) My day would not have been a success without him. He helped to keep us on time and knew the venue better than us. our pictures are absolutely stunning, and my family cried after seeing the pictures. I wish there were more than 5 stars so give cause he deserves them all.

David was very flexible and willing to work with us on our budget. He was always quick to respond to all of our questions and concerns throughout the wedding planning process. On the wedding day, he was great at corralling our guests to get the pictures done quickly. Most important, the pictures were incredible. We were thrilled not only with the number of great pictures, but with how quickly the pictures arrived at our door.

David Payne was an integral part of my wedding day and his services are invaluable. Aside from the stunning photos we received (just three weeks after the wedding), the wedding day itself would never had run so smoothly if it weren't for him. David was highly professional, knew exactly how to direct people in photos and how to schedule the days events, and we were so lucky to have him shoot our wedding!

I cannot recommend David Payne enough. We found him through wedding wire, and decided to use him because of how well he was reviewed. We ended up getting him to do both our engagement and wedding photos. He is always available. Our engagement pictures took a little less than a week to come back and were absolutely gorgeous. Our ceremony was this past Sunday, and David was wonderful. He made a very stressful day much better. He knew exactly what we wanted pictures of, and was very good and just flowing through the room. He had great ideas for different poses and in front of different structures. He sent us a preview and I'm already in love. Can't wait to see all of him. He is a wonderful value, always available, and the pictures are gorgeous. Just go ahead and book him!

David did my engagement photos, and him and his wife both photographed my wedding day. They are very laid back and easy to work with, which is a huge blessing on such a busy day. David went above and beyond what I expected. He made us feel very comfortable during the photo shoot, and anything I asked of him, he was happy to do it. He even jumped across rocks with me to get some amazing river shots! What a great sport!

David and his wife captured everything that I asked. The images turned out so beautiful and he got them to me promptly. Through the entire process, he was always very quick to respond to emails and phone calls. I can't thank David enough for his patience with me during the album reviewing process. I would highly recommend adding an album to any package. It is extremely high quality and such a great value from Dave.

These are wonderful people to work with, and I definitely recommend them!

David is a great photographer! I absolutely love my engagement and wedding photos! The pictures are classic and timeless, which is exactly what I wanted. David was so easy to work with and full of great ideas for pictures. He was prompt in his email responses and made meetings very convenient for me. His prices was reasonable, and he made sure to walk through everything with me the week before the wedding. It really helped give me peace of mind leading up to the wedding. I would certainly recommend David to anyone looking for a wedding photographer. I couldn't have asked for a better photographer!

David is AMAZING and his photography is perfect. He responds very quickly to emails and was always on top of things and well organized. We had an engagement session over the summer and our friends and family are still talking about the pictures! Our wedding photos are equally amazing and we are so impressed by how many pictures he took throughout the day!

David is very professional and fun to work with. As a plus, the pictures come back FAST! He was definitely our favorite wedding vendor! :)

David Payne was the photographer for my October wedding at The Standard Building in Knoxville. David was prompt and informative in all our meetings and correspondence prior to the wedding day. On wedding day, David was helpful in arranging shots and posing me to look my best! He got every shot I had requested on my itinerary and was able to get each poignant moment of the ceremony. At the reception he got a pic of every single couple that was there which they all loved :) I was blown away by the clarity and artistry when I finally got the pictures back. I would highly recommend David based on price and service for your wedding event.

David was a great photographer not only for the wedding day, but also for the engagement photos!

It was great being able to have the same photographer for both events! We were able to use our amazing engagement photos for the save the dates and for signage at the wedding.

David is also a great guy, who is always thinking about the best interest for the wedding party. He is punctual, courteous, and a very dedicated professional.

We are so lucky that we were able to find him for our special day!!!

He provided so many great photos that really captured the event and was sure to include everyone!

I would highly recommend him for any wedding event!

I loved working with David from the minute I first contacted him. He always responded very promptly and answered all my questions. I had a very atypical wedding and David worked with me on budget and the logistics. His prices were great and the photos were beautiful! I cannot possibly say enough great things about working with Dave and I would absolutely recommend him to future brides. Good photography is expensive but Dave was able to work out a photography package that would work with our budget. One day last winter we had a really good snow that only lasted a little past noon. I was dying to take advantage of it so I shot Dave an email to see if he could do our engagement photos. I knew it was a long shot so I was thrilled when he responded immediately. We were able to meet up an hour later and take advantage of the beautiful scenery. I tell you this to show just how wonderful Dave is to work with. For our wedding day, Dave helped me put together a timeline for when everyone needed to arrive for photos and the day of the wedding went incredibly smoothly; we were even ahead of schedule. He is so helpful with giving you ideas for photos but not at all pushy or controlling, an absolute pleasure to work with. Most importantly, our photos are fantastic, and we could not be happier with the quality of the photography. Future brides absolutely need to consider David Payne Photography.

David did a wonderful job! Our pictures look great! We couldn't be more happy with how they turned out. He was very easy to work with and listened to what was important to us in our photos. Not only did our pictures turn out great, but we were able to view them quickly even with Christmas and New Years falling shortly after our wedding. We were all impressed with how hard he worked!

We couldn't be more pleased with the photos David was able to capture. It was a second marriage for both of us, and we wanted to keep things simple and small. When looking at photographers many have packages for larger weddings. Some photographers that I spoke with said they could customize a package for a small wedding, but pricing was still priced the same as a lower level package. I was so happy when I came across David's website and spoke with him. He was responsive and more importantly thought of things I hadn't thought of such as time of day for lighting etc.

When we received the photos, we were so pleased - not only with the quality, which was great but with the timing of receipt. We are so happy with the photos and David's ability to capture so many fun candid shots of guests mingling. His ability to be there but not be in the way is an art in itself! I would definitely recommend David to a friend.

My pictures turned out absolutely gorgeous! None of David's packages originally fit my small wedding but he was more than willing to adjust his pricing to fit the needs of my wedding. He kept in contact and we met to discuss what I expected and he delivered! I have beautiful pictures to remember my day by. I highly recommend him, completely thrilled!!

Dave was awesome. He was very professional and responded in a quickly manner. I lived in California, so I had a time difference from Dave. He would talk after 10pm his time if need, and he would respond to my late emails. Dave also drove 3 to 4 hours to my venue. Lastly, Dave's work is beautiful! He provided a couple of images after the wedding, so I could share them with my friends and family. The rest of the images were completed in two weeks.

I would highly recommend David Payne Photography. He was the photographer for my daughter's wedding, and he also took some beautiful engagement pictures. Not only are all of the pictures incredible, but David made the entire experience enjoyable. I was impressed by the number of pictures he took and how well he was able to "keep things moving" without sacrificing quality in the pictures. All of the pictures are beautiful, and he seemed to capture every special moment before, during, and after the wedding. David was a true professional and a gentleman. My daughter said it was the best day of her life.

I searched hours online for a photographer for my wedding. I came across David Payne Photography when I was looking at other weddings that had been photographed at the church I was getting married. I picked David Payne Photography because his work blew away that of other photographers who had also photographed in this church. (Very old church with lots of stained glass windows). I knew before I met him that I wanted to book him based off the work I had seen online. So the pricing was an added bonus. Very affordable when it comes to wedding and engagement packages. I chose a package that included the copyright to my photos. I can print them, look at them, share them, do anything I please with them for the rest of my life as often as I would like. This is a huge deal! He is a true professional and caters to his clients. Always on time and true to every word. I will recommend him to anybody I know!

Wow! There are so many wonderful things to say about David. My husband and I are so happy he was the one to capture our memories. First off, I just want to say how much I love our photos. We sat down to look through all the photos; after each photo we were constantly saying how amazing it was that he captured all the great moments. His ideas behind each picture were very creative and each of these moments will be beautiful memories that will last forever. Besides being a very skilled photographer, he is professional, an amazing communicator, and friendly. I was always able to get in touch with him and he was able to answer all my questions. We did our engagement and wedding photos with him. After each photo shoot he sent a few pictures for us to view, this was fun and put my mind at ease about how they would turn out. That was awesome! A week after our wedding, he had all the photos completed. So awesome to have the photos that quick! David was a big part of our wedding and we are so happy with his work; we know you will be also. 

David Payne did an AMAZING job photographing my wedding. It was very cold that day&I was so worried the pictures wouldnt turn out good but I was definitely wrong Dave did an absolutely fantastic job & our pictures could not have turned out more beautifully. He is not only an amazing photographer but a kind hearted nice man as well. He got shots of my wedding day that I will forever cherish. I originally contacted David because he offered a great price and I loved the work displayed on his website, and I wasn't disappointed. I loved working with him! He was very organized, but was relaxed and made the whole experience fun and enjoyable! I absolutely love all the pictures and would definitely recommend him to anyone wanting great pictures at an awesome price!

We had a wonderful experience being photographed by David for both our engagement and wedding pictures. He was so easy to work with, very quick to respond, and just overall a great photographer. Our pictures were absolutely amazing and we couldn't believe how quickly he was able to get them to us after our wedding. His prices were more than reasonable and I would definitely recommend to anyone.

I found David Payne's website while I was shopping online for a photographer for my wedding! Soon as I saw his pictures, I knew I had to have him as my photographer... I just KNEW it.... I called and told my family and my in-laws about him and shared his blog with everyone! I noticed that his pictures were such high quality and it made me nervous that he more than likely wasn't in my price range. I called and talked to David about what I was looking for and what my budget was. David and I worked out an agreement and stayed within my budget!! David even went above and beyond and came to the open house at my venue (on his day off)! The day of my wedding, it rained....all day... Up till the moment David Payne pulled into the parking out!!! He brought sunshine with him (free of charge)!!! He done a FABULOUS job! I could have NOT asked for a better photographer! I wouldn't say it was "luck" that I stumbled upon David's blog, I would like to think of it is a "blessing". Pictures are going to last you a lifetime! David even took to extra mile (AGAIN) in helping my make my pictures last by putting them on a SanDisk Memory Vault which keeps the quality of your pictures for at least 100 years! How cool is that! So you don't have to worry about scratching a disc!! Overall, I was beyond pleased with David and my pictures!! I highly highly recommend David for any bride out there!

My husband and I cannot say enough about David Payne Photography. Hiring a good photographer for our wedding was a priority for us, and David exceeded all of our expectations. He is professional, fun, and personable. I felt so at ease from the first "click" of the camera. Most importantly, David was able to capture the emotions of that day in his photos.. We opted not to have a videographer and after seeing the photos captured of our day, we realized we didn't even need it. The progression of the photographs told the stories, and showed the emotions, of that day in a more profound way than any video could. We love the photos and HIGHLY recommend David.

Dave was absolutely wonderful! Nobody noticed he was even there for both the ceremony and the reception yet he seemed to get every shot. He got some beautiful pictures too! We were extremely satisfied.

David Payne was our wedding photographer, and I knew from our first meeting with him that he would be great!! But, great is an understatement! He far exceeded our expectations!!! He took a ton of pictures and they are all outstanding! He did an awesome job of listening to what we wanted and making sure that we got all of those pictures and many many more!!! He also did a great job of getting our pictures to us in a very timely manner. Our wedding was two weeks ago today and we have ALL of our pictures and they have been edited!! That speaks volumes about the attention and effort David puts into his work!! David Payne is an outstanding photographer!!! We just can't think him enough for how well he captured our wedding day by creating images that are timeless and that we will treasure forever!!!

David Payne is wonderful. My photos were absolutely gorgeous and I have never seen a wedding album like ours! He took way over 800 photos from the beginning of the day through our reception, and everytime I look at them I feel like I am reliving the day. Dave was absolutely wonderful to work with for our wedding. Loved the pictures. Our album was amazing, and David was extremely good about making sure we were satisfied with the pictures we received. Our family and friends couldn't believe the quality of pictures we received for the cost! I've told several friends about him, and we will probably be back to him for maternity pics farther down the road. :)

This photographer was very professional. He does great work and a very smart choice to hire. We live in Charlotte and he is from Knoxville and he still made great accommodations for us. His packages are a great deal and wonderful quality. Would recommend to a friend!!

My husband and I had the absolute BEST experience with David and his wife Debbie. He was prompt with all communication and production of the photos. His prices are VERY fair and reasonable. He is great to work with and has fantastic skills. I am so happy that I found him to take our wedding photos. The photos and album he designed are truly incredible.

I would recommend David for any type of event - especially weddings (big or small). His talent and personality cannot be matched! It was so easy to get along with him.

I definitely hope to use his services again in the future!

I would use him again. David took beautiful, high quality pictures and he gives you digital copies of them all on a fancy flash drive. He is very professional and nice. He ended up giving us an extra hour for free and I'm not sure why.

The only negative is how much he asked my opinion of pictures on the wedding day - my brain was mostly fried and not functioning so I did want to make decisions. But he sure does let you take the reins of what pictures you want.

Also, the pictures are available for everyone to see and download for free! My family really appreciated that. The prints from his website come on high-quality photo paper and are very cheap - starting at $0.35 (plus shipping).

David was a great photographer! He's not overly friendly, instead of mingling with guests, he takes his work seriously and the results are lots professional pictures.

David shot my engagement pictures and wedding last August. I LOVED our engagement pictures. He made it very easy for my husband and I to act ourselves during the session. He did a great job with the one on one aspect of the session. He also shot our wedding. Overall a good experience he was very quick to respond to emails and request during the planning process.

We got some good photos but should have paid for two photographers instead of just one. David seemed rushed and unenthusiastic about being at our wedding. I feel like it shown through a lot of the photos.
