  Look no further for your wedding photographer!

  It was an absolute pleasure working with David for our wedding! His photography skills are top notch but he goes above and beyond in so many other ways.
  
  He was incredibly reliable and trustworthy. Planning a wedding is obviously stressful and there’s nothing worse than having a vendor that doesn’t communicate to add to that stress. With David, we never had to worry. He would respond to our calls/ emails/ texts, literally 24/7 and most of the time he was the one initiating the communication.
  
  David is a true professional. His attention to detail and his passion for his work are incredible to watch. He has tons of experience and always has a backup plan for everything. He has this ability to get in and take great shots without being too demanding or in the way like you often see with other photographers.
  
  On top of all that, David is as genuine as they come. We could tell that he truly cared about us and the success of our big day. He really took the time to get to know us, our guests, our venue, etc. He met us for a rehearsal shoot a couple months beforehand to really learn our style too. The day after our wedding he went to work right away and sent us about 25 high quality teaser photos.
  
  David’s services were surprisingly affordable and flexible considering how highly rated and in demand they are. I highly recommend David Paul Photography!

  Photography was beautiful

  My husband and I stumbled upon David Paul photography about 2 years ago. We saw some of his pictures online and we decided to give him a call. He drove an hour to meet with us and show us his portfolio. He was kind and his work was outstanding. We didn’t really need to meet with any other photographers. We knew he was going to be the one we used! He shot our engagement photos and they turned out spectacular. He was so quick to getting us our edited photos and during the shoot his creativity was great. David also shot a boudoir shoot for me so that I could give my husband a wedding gift. A lot of women may be hesitant to have a man shoot their boudoir but David was extremely professional and never made me feel uncomfortable. The day of our wedding, he was so flexible and made sure to get all of the pictures that we had requested. My husband and I just got married 2 days ago and we already have 30 edited images. I couldn’t have asked for a better photographer. His creativity, professionalism, thoroughness, attention to detail, and his personality are so wonderful. Thank you so much David for being a part of our special day!

  The PERFECT Choice for Our Wedding Photography

  David is the ultimate professional. He made everyone feel at ease, captured the candid moments and artistically arranged the formal shots for our wedding. He was incredibly responsive throughout the planning process. Not to mention our photos were ready in one week! He captured the emotions of the moments and made sure things ran smoothly. He was also incredibly kind and generous with our videographer - our 12 year old nephew who was so excited to video the wedding. David is a master of lighting - finding beautiful backgrounds and backlight to create the perfect shots. The pictures were beyond my wildest hopes. He is talented, dedicated, and above all, kind. It was an honor to work with him!!

  Awesome experience! Worth every penny!!

  David did an amazing job as the photographer at my daughter Erica's wedding Aug 31,2019. He was very professional and was the hardest working photographer I've ever seen. The photos are gorgeous. I would hire him again in a heartbeat!!

  Superior Photos and an All-Around Great Guy

  David was the perfect person to have on my wedding day. He was incredibly calm and professional, perfectly accommodating, and knew exactly what kind of pictures to take.   David Paul photography is DEFINTELY the way to go! He worked with us every step of the way! Was very helpful and his main goal was to make sure we had the day that we always dreamed about! I can't even begin to say how pleasant he was to be around, it wasn't awkward at all. Both him and his assistant Brian did an AMAZING job with our pictures! I could not be more happy with them! They're better then i could have ever imagined!

We couldn’t have asked for anyone better to capture our big day.

  David and Heather did a beautiful job on our wedding. David is very professional and definitely is well worth the money. He out of his way to make sure we were happy every step of the way. He keeps me updated and is still in touch with me. I would definitely use him again for any pictures I need taken. Not only is it his professionalism that I love but our pictures are absolutely beautiful. He is the first and only photographer I met with and would do it all over again if I had too. He was friendly with all of my family and friends and worked very well with us and everyone at our wedding. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone.

  David and his assistant, Dana, were great to work with! David was very flexible with our schedules and worked with us! He gave us a free engagement shoot which helped us understand his style and to see what we loved. He shot over 500 pictures that we get to keep! No copyrights with him. He also made us a DVD slideshow which was amazing. Our family and friends love it! He also made us 3 photobooks for ourselves and our parents. These are top quality, we love them! David has a great personality and is so easy to work with! I would recommend him to everyone!!!

By the way, it was very flattering that you made virtually no changes to the book when you reviewed it before binding.   Incredibly happy with every aspect of working with David Paul Photography! He was so on top of the communication and details, offering relevant suggestions throughout the planning process. Before and after the event, he was very responsive and thoroughly answered all questions. The photos were stunning and he was super friendly and made my entire wedding party feel very comfortable throughout the day. I was also able to have all the edited, unwatermarked final photos at the end, which is huge! He also offers custom-designed quality albums, hand-bound in Italy, which makes for a very nice keepsake. I definitely recommend hiring David if you want a photographer who demonstrates that he cares!

  Shared a Pinterest board with him months ahead of time with very detailed photos. On the day of the wedding, we also provided a specific list of shots we wanted of the two of us in addition to shots of the family. Half of the family shots someone is looking away or adjusting their tie, many of the list of the bride and groom shots were completely missed. As far as the pictures themselves? You know what they say, If you can't do it right, do it in black and white!

When confronted about the photo quality and the missed photos, he refused to take any responsibility- saying it was our fault that we decided not to have a second shooter and that our family was too large (we had 75 people at the wedding). Since he knew what photos we wanted months ahead of time, if he couldn't do the shots we wanted, I feel we should have been informed.
  
  After an hour-long discussion he finally gave us a meagre refund of under 15%. If you can, please shop around before paying his high prices! The Album Epoca books are nice, but he's not the only photographer who offers them. Detailed shots that should be standard in a $3000 photographer were not there, professionalism was not there, quality of service overall was mediocre at best.

  It saddens me to see my first non-5 star review. I literally always want to do right by people. If I do wrong, I try to own it. This may have been that one wedding where I could have earned a 4.5-Star review. I do feel that I did an excellent job for this couple. I also feel that this is an example of how important it is to listen to the advice of a seasoned professional when getting married. The part that is true in Anonymous' story is that she handed me a list of 40 Pinterest shots that she wanted. I, very politely, let her know that we had a very limited amount of time to get photos after the first look and before reception. I asked her to pick up the 4-5 Pinterest shots of the 40 that were most important to her. When I arrived at the wedding she handed me a second enormousness list of family photos that she wanted, even though 3 days before, we had written out a shot list of the immediate family photos she wanted. I asked her, correctly, if she wanted me to prioritize the Pinterest photos, or the family photos. She picked the family photos, so that is what we shot first. Here is the kicker: a few weeks before the wedding the couple had run out of money and called me to ask if they could delete the second photographer. I strongly suggested that they not delete the photographer - I suggested that they delete their very expensive album that they had pre-ordered. After all, you can always get an album later, but you cannot get more wedding photographs later! They refused to delete the album and, against my advice, deleted the photographer. Now in this review, Anonymous complains about not getting all of the photos she wanted. That does not seem right to me. They did not listen to my suggestions which then resulted in non getting what they wanted, and then they complain about me! Also, the couple received over 900 edited images - I had promised 400. They even had a hard time narrowing down the number of images in their wedding album, which was very beautiful! Anonymous also mentioned about "if you can't do it right, do it in black & white". On the engagement shoot, the couple selected a high percentage of black & white images, indicating to me that they liked them. As I convert to B&W in post-production, I can always convert back, and do so when asked. When they asked, I simply converted them back - so their complaint is disingenuous at best. I bend over backwards to please my customers, as literally all of my other reviews state. It is so hard to respond to a review like this and not sound defensive - yet I feel it is important to let my future customers know that this one low review left out the important details of why the couple was ultimately unhappy. One last point about a partial refund - the only reason they got anything back is that the groom's aunt was my sales rep for Today's Bride, and I was unwilling to sacrifice my business relationship with her. It was the only time I have ever given a refund of any kind. So hopefully this learning experience for me will be a learning experience for others as well. If you have read this entire response, I thank you, and hope this review does not dissuade you from hiring me :)
