The perfect DJ for our day!

Our DJ was so much fun, and worked well with our song selection. He used our preferences and was great at "reading the room" and going with what our crowd was reacting to as well. Would definitely recommend this company for other events.

Perfect playlist, perfect atmosphere, flexible and fun!

I have had the pleasure of working with David Efaw productions in a professional setting several times before my big day so I trusted them for our wedding as well, but oh my goodness, EJ made our day better than we ever could have imaged! Not only was he an professional and fun, he created the perfect playlist tying in seamlessly with all of our requested songs. He had our friends and family out on the dance floor all night long. He was an amazing Emcee, helping with the transitions for cake cutting and formal dances, and was even able to shorten our first dances in the moment by just a nod, even though I had not discussed it earlier- talk about being able to adjust in the moment. Truly the best experience for us and our guests ever, I would hire him time and time again! Thank you so much EJ for all the care and thought that went into our day, if you are looking for the perfect DJ, look no further!!!

Dance floor was POPPIN'!

David is such a great DJ! We found David because he's DJ'd five other weddings of our friends and every one of them have been wonderful! He's super friendly and very professional.
He worked with us to make sure we had the type of music we wanted (and didn't want) for the wedding leading up to the big day. The ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception were all on schedule and he really knew how to set the mood for each. People could not stop talking about how fun the dance floor was! If you provide him with music or genres, he'll do an amazing job at making your day personalized to how you want it to be!

Fantastic DJ experience

I would recommend David Efaw 100 times over. Not only is his professionalism, attention to detail, and timeliness off the charts, but his charisma, energy, and presence is on point! He sets the perfect tone for you and your guests during cocktail hour and dinner, and then keeps everyone on the dance floor for the party! His ability to follow timeline and make your day run so smoothly is invaluable. I worked with David in the wedding industry for many years prior, and he was the very first person I called after I got engaged to make sure he could be our guy. As always, he knocked it out of the park for my wedding and all our guests were raving about our DJ! You won’t be disappointed. Thank you David!!

Danced all night

Best. Wedding. DJ. Ever. We gave him a list of songs that we liked to give him an idea of what kind of vibe we were looking for, and he nailed it! All my guests told me how amazing the music was, and I had multiple people text me and tell me that they woke up with sore legs from dancing so much. I would recommend him to anyone- it was the best party of my life.

Best dj ever!

We booked David for our wedding dj and he was amazing! He definitely knows how to get a dance floor going, which was super important to us. He has dj’ed two of our friends’ weddings, ours, and is doing two more of our friends’ weddings next summer. He is now our designated friend group dj because we all know what an awesome he does. We highly recommend him!

Fun and kind!

David Efaw did an excellent job DJing for our wedding! He was prompt in emails, responsive and easy to work with. He made our Chinese tea ceremony smooth, played our requests and was a good MC with a great smile. Thanks again David!

Best wedding DJ ever!

We hired David on the recommendation of our coordinator and I am so happy we did. He was so responsive to all of my emails, which I really appreciated. We ended up having a family member play guitar while guests arrived and during the processional, and David was nice enough to lend/bring sound equipment for them to use. He was a wonderful MC--very classy and unobtrusive. He just did a great job overall and our dance floor was PACKED until the very last second. I would 100% recommend David as a DJ for any event.

If you’re having a wedding and David Efaw isn’t the DJ then I’m sorry.

David Efaw was not only an absolute pleasure to worth with but a very talented DJ who can mix/loop/cut every song to your exact liking. We sent him edits to the song sheet a week out before the wedding and he nailed it. Also, he is keen on making sure everyone is having an epic time and that’s the most important quality you should be looking for in any DJ. He is personable, professional, and extremely talented. Best investment we’ve made at our wedding.

Jake is the best

The DJ makes the wedding and without a good one, your party will die pretty quickly. Well, you won't get that with this company. Our DJ was Jake, who also did my sister's wedding. He truly exemplified a party atmosphere. He played the perfect music, kept in contact with me, my mom and my maid of honor to keep everything moving. At one point he said "Hey we need to do this or the party is going to fade". That is something that I appreciated. At the end of the night, when it was time to end things, there were still 30+ people on the dance floor begging not to stop. Jake was organized, so incredibly helpful and flexible when we had a total change of plans in the middle of dinner service. You won't regret having this team.

I knew we made the right choice hiring David as our wedding DJ when our vendor literally said "I LOVE it when my couples use him, he is absolutely incredible!" and she was 100% right! I highly recommend David for any wedding/event! Thank you so much for making our wedding the best day of our lives!

We first booked David while we were living across the country in South Carolina. He was always very available and willing to communicate at our best convenience. He was great at communicating via phone and email during this time. On the day of our event he was phenomenal at communicating with our coordinator and other vendors to make sure our day went off without a hitch. Our biggest request was to have a dance floor that was never empty and David made that happen. I would absolutely recommend his services for your Wedding or any other event!

David was absolutely amazing. He did an incredibly job and we couldn't have chosen a better DJ. He kept the night moving smoothly, and our guests have actually given us compliments on how great the music was. He even played some traditional Irish music so we could do some Irish dancing. He did the music for the ceremony as well, and it was perfectly timed. There was absolutely nothing wrong all evening, no feedback on mics, and he was super aware of who needed a mic and when. Our photographer told us the pictures he got of our friends and family dancing were some of the best dancing photos he's taken, and it's all thanks to David's music! We highly recommend him, and would totally use him again!

David Efaw was highly recommended by the venue, so that was all I needed to book! Best decision I made.....David is quick to respond and has excellent follow through! Although, all was done through email, everything was perfect! I struggled with no rehearsal but that is how good he is! Jake was our DJ for our special day and he was amazing! So professional, on point, flexible, and easy to work with!

I've used David Efaw Productions for over 15 years at multiple locations. He is the best in the business. He is always early to set up the event to be sure there aren't any issues. DJ was the one vendor that i was at a loss for; but it was important for me to use a DJ that knew the venue space. So my venue recommended David Efaw Productions. David's customer service during planning was excellent and even with our special music request for our first dance. Zach was the one available for the wedding and was excellent as well. Understanding and executing direction from both myself and my wedding coordinator (which is no easy tasks sometimes!)

Planning a company holiday party is stressful. There are so many components to fit together like a puzzle while maintaining a budget. Our theme was Casino Night and we also wanted a DJ. There are a few companies in my area who offer both. I contacted several and found David Efaw Productions to be the best fit. David himself was my contact. He was quick to respond, knew his business and how it would fit our needs, very professional and also had great straight forward pricing. We had everything planned out after one quick phone call. We maintained contact throughout the weeks leading to the event, reconfirmed the day before, and had a follow up conversation after. Our group of nearly 200 people were extremely impressed with the professionalism, friendliness, and ability of his staff to keep us engaged for 3-4 hours of fun. We'll be using David Efaw Productions again for our party this year. Wonderful company with integrity.

David was an amazing part of our wedding, we are so thrilled about our choice of DJ! During planning times, he was responsive and flexible and took time to get to know us and our wishes for the day. On the day of, he was super thoughtful in preparing our officiant, readers and speech givers with their mics and sequencing - they all commented on how lovely he was the next day. And most importantly, he kept the dance floor full and hopping all night long!! We are talking epic dance party people. He was friendly, smiling and professional throughout the night, worked in announcements seamlessly and was very respectful of and attentive to all of our requests both leading up to and on the night of the wedding. He offered great uplighting options and even tossed in an extra speaker for our cocktail hour, that totally brought the whole event together. We are so happy that we chose David to be our DJ and recommend you do too!

I would recommend David Efaw Productions to any of my family/friends that has a special event. David was awesome to work with, he made sure we were taken care of every step of the way. He sent Zack to our wedding to be our DJ. Zack was awesome, he was always making sure my wife & I knew what was going on at all times. He was fun to work with, and played great music. David was great to work with. He made our wedding audio and sound seamless and helped us with some special requests that we had (like molding two songs together for our first dance). The set up for the ceremony was perfect and he made sure to get all our songs and timing for ceremony etc. just right. He was enthusiastic and got our crowd moving, something we really wanted and cared about. His equipment was wonderful. We would totally recommend him to anyone looking to have an experienced and wonderful DJ!

David was recommended to me by several friends and I'm so glad he was! He was always quick to respond and SUPER flexible (even when I turned in my music request form late!). David was wonderful! He went above and beyond in every capacity - even helping our coordinator move flowers before the ceremony when she needed an extra set of hands. He was extremely professional, organized, and great at turning our vision into reality. His ability to keep the wedding on schedule, and read our guests' mood meant the dance floor was packed the whole night. After the wedding I got so much feedback from friends and family that our DJ was amazing - I recommend him for anyone looking to have a fun, unique, well organized wedding.

When we were planning our wedding, there were a million more details and boxes to check than we ever expected. Thanks to David, we never had to worry about the ceremony sound and music, or the reception sound, lighting and music. He not only hit a grand slam on the actual wedding day, but he was extremely helpful during the planning phase, and imparted a lot of wisdom based on his vast experience in the field. On the wedding day, there were a few last minute decisions that needed to be made RE: the processional, and David was there to help us make what turned out to be more wise decisions.
There is no doubt in my mind that David Efaw Productions is the best event and wedding DJ on the West Coast. And you will not find a nicer, more professional guy to work with. A++

David was the Dj for our Wedding and he was hands down a great Dj! He always emailed me back so fast and played the best music! At the reception I didn't even give him a list of songs and he played Everything I loved! He always got the crowd involved and did an amazing job including the bridal party! All the way through the planning and execution of my 40th birthday party, David and then Zack (his onsite staff) were AMAZING! David was great in recommending what would work best for my venue as far as lighting. He was also incredibly prompt at answering my countless questions.

There were no complications the night of my party. They arrived on time and definitely were very helpful with all aspects of the party. Zack was an awesome asset to our party and kept the party going all night long. The dancing was awesome and he was incredible at bringing everyone out on the dance floor.

I would highly recommend using David Efaw Productions for any of your event needs.

David was AMAZING!!!!!!

With changes in weather and location, David was flexible and willing to help us make it a day to remember! He was available via e-mail and phone call before the wedding to help us in selecting the best songs and equipment.

Then throughout the wedding day David checked in with us throughout the evening to adjust toast and cake cutting timing as well as other announcements that needed to be made. The music was everything we wanted and more! Everybody was raving about his professionalism, mixing ability, and overall quality of service. With 154 guest he adjusted volume during cocktail hour and then increased the volume for our dance party! One quote from my mom the Mother of the Bride was "WOW, your DJ keeps mixing in great songs before the other ends and I just can't get off the dance floor!"

We highly recommend David Efaw as a wedding DJ for people who want a professional, FUN, and flexible DJ!

We've been hiring David Efaw since the early 90's to provide service for 2 or more corporate functions a year. He's basically became family to us. He is extremely professional and provides a great service and I would highly recommend him for any function you may be having. You will not be disappointed.

David Efaw made our wedding just the way we dreamed! He is an amazing DJ who really got the party going. My husband and I had so much fun as well as all of our family and friends dancing to all of the music we requested. He is wonderful and easy to work with and really pays attention to what you want. We met with David to discuss music options for our wedding and his was extremely personable and easy to talk to. We didn't have a whole lot of input with specific songs that we wanted to be played and he didn't press us to choose specific songs. We told him that we wanted Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin style of music and David was completely fine with choosing the rest of the music. Though David wasn't available on our wedding date, his counterpart was very professional. When our guests started requesting songs outside of the theme we had picked, he made sure to ask our permission before playing any of the requests. As the night went on, we became more lenient on the music and he went with the flow without any hesitation. We were very satisfied with the level of professionalism and quality of service that we received from this company.

David Efaw is a rockstar! I hired David to DJ a double birthday party at a new venue/warehouse. Having not even seen the venue beforehand, he arrived on event day and was set up and ready to roll right on time. The sound was perfect for the unique space, and I know if it had not been for David, the energy of the party would not have been the same. David was so on point with every song. He read the room and knew what songs kept the crowd laughing and happy. Dancing was not planned, but because David is so crazy good at what he does, guests could not contain themselves. Not only did the music make the party, but David's add-on lighting package transformed the room. The space looked amazing! Without it, the energy and impact would not have existed.

David Efaw is Portland's hidden treasure. Anyone who hires him is lucky and guaranteed to have a perfect event!

Our DJ Tracy was perfectly in tune with the mood we wanted and kept the dance floor packed the whole night. We also had a mini trivia quiz game that was a lot of fun. Great job!

We were referred to David by a wedding planner/vendor. I was very lucky for this referral. David was an amazing DJ for our wedding and reception. He exceeded all expectations we had. David was professional, easy to communicate with, punctual and amazing at what he does. Our wedding party and guests of all ages had a great time. David Efaw Productions is an absolute must to include at your special event. Very professional and impressive with his prompt communication, David made the planning of the music for my husband's 60th birthday celebration so easy. David provided everything from all the necessary music equipment, dance floor lighting, set-up/take-down and DJ energy to keep our party going well past the scheduled end time. All I provided was a special music playlist and table, David did everything else.

If you are looking for a DJ, stop right now and call David Efaw. He was FANTASTIC. My husband and I got married the last day of July. It was hot! Like brutally hot, so hot in fact that minutes before the ceremony was supposed to start we had a guest pass out! David didn't miss a beat. He checked in with my father-in-law about how he wanted to proceed and kept the show going.

His music choice was fantastic! I didn't give him a huge list, I was so busy with details, that I just asked him to "make good choices"... I was the worst I realize, but David read the crowd perfectly. He knew how to get them to come together. He knew what to play to get people to dance, and he was ready for special requests.

We had people asking us how we found him and wanting his card. He was the best!

I don't know what occasion my husband and I will need another DJ, but we are trying to find one just so we can work with David again. He even e-mailed us after the wedding to say congratulations.

So there you go. Stop looking and go and book him. You will not regret it. He is just the best.

We hired David for our wedding at the Crystal Ballroom. Talk about a cool guy, he was awesome.

We have eclectic taste in music and requested he play some uncommon songs. Unlike past weddings I have been in, where the DJ makes you buy the music if he doesn't have it, David never said a word and played all of the songs we wanted.

Aside from being really cool and easy to work with, David was extremely professional and had everything together. He showed up on time, was very responsive to calls and emails. He was also very flexible and stayed on for an extra hour (at a very reasonable rate) since we were all dancing up a storm. We highly recommend David.

David was the best DJ at any wedding I've been to, and this one just happened to be mine. Not only did he follow the song list I gave him, but he mixed in others that fit perfectly. We had a Sunday night wedding, so anyone who had to work the next day or didn't want to dance left early. Meaning anyone left for the last hour was on the dance floor- and David knew how to keep the party going.

Beyond playing great music, David was always very easy to get in contact with, and so easy to plan with. At the wedding he did a great job of keeping the schedule moving along.

We've received so many compliments, both at and after the wedding, on what a great DJ David was. Hands down, I definitely recommend him!

I worked with David for my August wedding and he was extremely helpful. He called me months in advance to get a feel on what my fiancé wanted communicated with me up to the day of our wedding. He would check in with us throughout the evening to make sure everything was good and was very flexible if I wanted to change things around, even last minute. What else could we possibly say; David Efaw Productions was OUTSTANDING. From the minute David sat down with us to discuss our special day, we knew he was the best choice. I know...no one ever gives 5 stars but this company is unbealivable! Theya were very entertaining, right on with the timing of all songs and exactly knew when to kick it into gear. If you are looking for the best DJ in town David Efaw Productions is your guy. He is absolutely the best. He is Professional, fun, and always is there to make your event special. Dave Efaw is an absolutely terrific DJ. Speaking as a professional meeting planner and special events manager with 30 years of experience - both in Washington, DC and in Portland, Oregon - I concluded that he is the BEST DJ with whom I have ever worked. David was amazing to work with! He was prompt and very flexible with song requests before and during the event. He provided all the needed sound equipment and for a very reasonable fee, party lights as well. He kept our guests engaged all evening. He was able to make changes as things came up throughout the night with no stress which was a huge help! He had great quality music and a great selection. Overall very pleased and would highly recommend for any event. He also came highly recommended from the coordinator at our reception venue, The Multnomah Athletic Club.

David did a wonderful job for us. He was very flexible and played all the songs we expressed interest in hearing, and then some! The equipment and setup was top-notch and worked perfectly (he also did the entire mic setup for the ceremony which included live musicians). Everything sounded perfect and went off without a hitch. David also did an excellent job of emceeing, keeping the flow of the evening on track without being disruptive. It enhanced the whole day and I would recommend him to anyone, no matter the event.

There is no better event DJ available in the Portland area than Dave Efaw Productions. Dave and his team are fantastic entertainers and more importantly are complete professionals. I have booked Dave and his company for countless events and they did my wedding as well!

David Efaw and company was fantastic to work with. My first phone call with David was at least 30 minutes long, with him detailing all of their services and suggesting other vendors that I hadn't secured yet. He was very fun to coordinate with - responsive and reassuring. The day of the wedding, Tracy, the DJ, took care of everything! I was worried that the vocalist wouldn't have the appropriate set up for an outdoor wedding, and Tracy made sure it was all perfect. The music, the professionalism and the easy going attitude made my wedding day so much less stressful! I highly recommend this company!

Best DJ at a wedding I have experienced!

EJ was an amazing DJ! A big deal for my wedding was to have a killer dance floor and it was a big success! I got so many compliments on how great the DJ was! He was great the guests and going off the crowd while also using my songs requested. I loved that he keep the party going but also was so chill not being overly flashes like some DJs can be. He was even flexible to go an hour later cause everyone was having so much fun and also work with the other vendors. I would highly recommend if you want a hot dance floor and a good time!

We really lucked out with David Efaw as our wedding DJ. He was very easy to work with, and super helpful by offering any tips/advice to make sure our special day went as smooth as possible. The ceremony music was right on point, and the reception was a blast thanks to him. He played almost every song I requested and stuck to the genre we requested. I appreciated his style, as it wasn't too involved with the crowd, but just enough. He made people laugh and got everyone to join in on the dancing. After the wedding we received many complements regarding his service. I would highly recommend him for any special event!! You won't be disappointed!!

David was timely and very accommodating as it took the young couple too long to decide they wanted a DJ for their wedding. Doing business with David was easy. Based on how late I was to ask for a DJ, we received great service. Tips for our young DJ: Practice blending one song into the next. Read the crowd, at a wedding there are some older folks who want to dance but are intimidated by only newer music.
