  We found David Crane on a random google search of wedding photographers whose style skews more towards “documentary”. That list had nearly 100 photographers on it, but we singled out David Crane because of the quality of his body of work as shown on his website.
  
  We arranged a meeting with David months before the big day to see how well we’d get along, and he was a charismatic and charming individual which was nice to see that personality backing up his immense talent.
  
  For the big day he was a one man army (even though he did bring an assistant to assist). He was everywhere! From the “getting ready” shots of the wedding party, the first look, wedding party shots, pre-ceremony shots, ceremony, family shots, cocktail hour, and reception he was everywhere he needed to be and we were blown away by the quality of the shots we got.
  
  The presentation of the final materials was an unexpected bonus. Such care and quality was placed into the delivery of the final assets, light years ahead of a dropbox/flickr/imgur link. Everything was well organized, and as mentioned above, we were blown away by the quality of the shots. Thank you so much for making our wedding day so memorable!

  David Crane is absolutely wonderful to have him capture your wedding day. He is a photojournalist. His talent is on capturing the moment on film. If you are wanting a documentary type photographs, then he is the perfect choice. We actually went out to the American Photojournalism Association website to find David Crane. I highly recommend him. I forgot to give him my "must have" list but he got all the photos I needed. I suggest doing the two photographer package. I changed it to two photographer and glad we did. They got various angles. Love all of my photos. No regrets at all. David Crane actually exceeded my expectations. :)

  David Crane is a super talented photographer who captured amazing images from our wedding. We couldn’t be happier with them! He and his assistant worked quietly during the wedding, which allowed them to capture more candid shots, I think, and also to not interfere in the overall flow of the day. David has years of experience under his belt but is very reasonably priced because (luckily for us) he likes to stay busy. He’s also a very nice person who made everyone feel very comfortable. Lastly, when we first met with David, we said we’d be happy with “four or five iconic images from our wedding day.” David smiled and said he hoped to give us many more than a handful. True to his word, we are now sorting through what can only be called an embarrassment of riches. Thank you, David!

  David is AMAZING.
  
  I first met David at my sister's wedding five years ago. He had done her gorgeous engagement pictures and her wedding pictures are still breathtaking so when I got engaged David was the easiest decision I made for the wedding.. Fortunately as a picky bride, he was also the best!!!
  
  We used David for our engagements pics first. Me and my (now) husband are VERY picky with pictures of ourselves..we were very pleasantly surprised to get those pictures back!! We received comments like "these were the best engagement pictures we've ever seen." I had soooo many great pics I made them into a guest book album! And love to look at them still many months later.
  
  At the wedding David captured every moment with beauty, class and precision. His ability for wedding photojournalism blows every photographer out of the water. David has a talent for lighting, capturing moments and re-living it with better memory than you could even dream of.
  
  He's also kind, very responsive, FAST (we got a beautiful online photage of the wedding within a few days of the wedding and all of the pics on DVD via mail within a couple weeks), extremely professional, and a great guy!
  
  And he gives you ALL of the pics retouched, in black and white and in 4 x 6 (to print). None of this paying for the pics you just had someone take business. These are your pics to keep and cherish for the rest of your lives...which you will <3

  Choosing the right photographer was one of our most carefully made wedding planning decisions because we knew we wanted someone to "capture" the day, and David Crane was definitely the right choice! As a photojournalist, he knows how to let events unfold naturally and react quickly so his shots are still perfectly lit and composed. I knew his work was great from looking at his website, but I still can't believe how beautiful OUR wedding looks. :) He definitely captured all the emotion of the day, and now we can treasure those moments forever. His prices are excellent for his level of experience and professionalism and he lets you choose exactly what services and album you want. He also includes all the files so you can get additional prints made on your own. I'd recommend going with the second shooter option because it was great to have his assistant, Andy, who is also a photo journalist, helping with lighting when needed and breaking away from David at other times to capture my husband when we were getting ready, to get different angles on our portraits, to take guest photos, etc. David's turn around is unbelievable too! I received a follow up email with one of the best photos he'd taken a few days after the wedding. Within a week, he sent a 5 minute slideshow set to our music choices. And at 3 1/2 weeks out, we received a package with a stunning print and all our 998 image files on CDs in a gorgeous custom case. I'm glad we chose the album with 100 photos. We could probably fill several of those!

  I can definitely say that the pictures took my breath away. I couldn't believe how he captured every beautiful moment. I felt comfortable being around him getting ready for the wedding, ceremony and reception time. The pictures themselves, got people weeping with joy and happiness the second time around. I definitely would love to see him do some baby pictures and family pictures in the future.

  David is an extremely talented photographer, capturing the most special moments. He is very accessible and easy to get in contact with. I am very pleased with his photographs and his ability to capture light the way he does. My only critique would be that on my wedding day there were certain moments that were not captured due to the fact that he needed to leave to set up lighting. But overall, very pleased with the work.
