We hired David to play before our ceremony, for ceremony and for coktail hour. Early on I knew I wanted some type of accustic music for our wedding and I am so happy we found David. It was so nice to have the music as our guests mingled and enjoyed our outdoor vineyard venue. He learned my song for walking down the aisle. Everyone commented on how nice the music was and how it andded to the overall feel of the wedding. David was easy to work with. I only priced 2 other muscians and his price was very reasonable and worth it. I couldn't be happier. -

Classical Elegance Par Excellence
David was the perfect touch to our wedding. He played beautifully throughout our cocktail hour and dinner, and took the time to learn a special song we requested for our first dance. David was wonderfully friendly, and made everything effortless from start to finish. We couldn’t have asked for a better musician and would recommend him to anyone without hesitation. -

David was communicative, flexible and on-time, and above all an incredibly talented musician. We were lucky to have David play at our wedding and would recommend him to anyone looking for a guitarist at their event! -

David Coester was an excellent choice for our small wedding in Ithaca, NY. He was communicative before the event, on-time, and set up all his equipment efficiently. We had very simple music requests (basically managing a few playlists for different parts of the day), and he was able to accomodate for several technical difficulties we faced day-of. He also provided mics for speeches and the officiation. He was pleasant to work with and talk to, and seems to have quite a broad knowledge of music. I believe there would be no problem for David if you had more complex music requests, or live music. Great choice if you are from the Ithaca area and wanting to use more local business for your event! -

David was a wonderful feature of our multicultural Finger Lakes wedding. He played for a romantic beachside coffee hour (it was a morning wedding!) and a special song that I requested for the processional. He took my 80s pop song request and transformed it into a lovely, classical guitar piece- it was even better than I'd hoped for and imagined! He was professional, punctual, and adapted to all of our ceremony needs. He brought multiple microphones and was ready for anything. Would recommend David to anyone looking for a romantic, classical guitarist! -

I've not gotten to write such a positive review in quite some time about anything. David was spectacular to work with both in the planning and day of execution. Incredibly easygoing and fun to talk to. He made the whole planning process an enjoyable experience rather than work.
Day of he came in, dealt with both location and schedule changes without batting an eye, and somehow made all the music flow without any interruptions. He learned multiple songs for us. I have no idea how he could possibly improve what he is already doing. -

We loved working with David Coester! He played guitar during our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour and really added to the experience. He even learned two new songs that we requested for the processional and recessional.
He also provided a high-quality sound system including several mics for our outdoor ceremony for a small extra fee.
We highly recommend David! -

We hired David for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. We absolutely loved working with David. He was very easy to talk to and offered some suggestions based on his experience. His repertoire is outstanding and he was able to learn a new song for the bride's entrance after we requested a specific song. Hopefully others benefit from that because the song is beautiful and perfect for a wedding. David is a fantastic addition to any event and made our wedding day even more special than we thought it could be. Highly recommend his services! -

David was so easy to work with. I already had a family friend that was going to be our DJ for our wedding, but I wanted live music for when guests arrived and for walking down the aisle. David was the perfect choice for us. He answered all of my questions and made recommendations.
Our outdoor wedding had to be moved into our reception tent because of rain. David was flexible with the new plan and made sure everything went smoothly. My guests really enjoyed the added touch of live music as they arrived and mingled. On top of all that, it was incredibly affordable! Thank you David for making our wedding so memorable with your beautiful music! -

David performed at our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour in June, and we are so glad he did! He made it very easy to book and plan for the wedding, and he was flexible with our music choices. (It helped that he already had a large repertoire!) We’d recommend David for excellent live wedding music and easy booking and planning throughout the process. -

My husband and I loved working with David for our wedding! I am very particular about music so I was prepared to annoy the s*** out of whoever we hired. Fortunately, David was so sweet, flexible, and professional at every turn.
We had a great first call during which he told me about his services. We opted to have him play the guitar for the prelude and processional. He sent his repertoire, and we were happy to see that he already had several of our favorite songs included – even the song I was dreaming of walking down the aisle to! Though we didn’t need it, he still offered to learn anything additional. We also discussed how he would set up all of the sound equipment for ceremony/reception/music/toasts, but that we would be in charge of the music we played. We put together a bunch of paylists on my ipad and David was able to hook us up while we danced the night away!
He has a great sense of humor and a calm demeanor which are both a godsend on such a stressful day! His guitar playing was beautiful and he helped the whole night run very smoothly. I would definitely recommend him, especially if you want total control of the music for your big day! -

David did an outstanding job for our wedding Oct 1st in Syracuse. He was a terrific fit for our intimate reception at the Century Club. We had many compliments from our guests that traveled from around the world. He played two of our favorite songs for the ceremony and was a total hit at the cocktail hour. I would highly recommend him to anyone requiring his services. -

David was wonderful and easy to work with for our wedding. He was well acquainted with our venue, which was a relief as we knew that he would be able to take care of our microphone needs and offer advice as we planned the timing of our ceremony. He cheerfully accommodated our song requests and our guests shared that his prelude music was lovely and set a perfect tone for our day. We would recommend him to anyone wishing for classical or acoustic guitar music at their ceremony. -

Great Wedding Musician
I had a great experience working with David for our wedding this summer! I had originally wanted a violinist, but once I heard David's guitar samples I knew he would be perfect for our boho/barn themed wedding. The music was beautiful for both our ceremony and our cocktail hour. He was very easy to work with and very communicative throughout the process. He brought his own equipment and even lent a microphone to our officiant. Other musicians in the area were vastly more expensive, and David's rates were very fair. Would recommend to anyone looking for a ceremony/cocktail musician! -

Having David perform at our ceremony and during our cocktail hour was the perfect way to incorporate live music. David was affordable, easy to communicate with, and very low maintenance. We had several guests approach us letting us know how great his music was. He had a good list of music to choose from and was willing to learn new music if given enough time. I would recommend David to anyone for their wedding as he is extremely talented. -

David was an absolute joy to have as a musician for our wedding. We were looking for beautiful acoustical music for our ceremony and cocktail hour, and he did not disappoint. Not only is he wildly talented, but he takes great care to plan the music to fit your ceremony and event as a whole. He has a wide range of songs to choose from (my husband was thrilled for some Star Wars themed options) and is great with communication leading up to the big day. We were also able to rent his sound equipment for our reception, allowing us to play our own tunes and have a microphone for speeches. 5 stars all around and I could not recommend enough! -

We had a lot of people comment on how beautiful the music was. We did not get to meet prior to the wedding, but he made contact with me about all the details and what kind of music we wanted. He also called the day of to confirm nothing had changed (times, locations, music, etc) which I thought was really responsible. I felt very comfortable knowing how on the ball he seemed. He was a vendor that I did not have to think or worry about which is obviously appreciated when we have a thousand other things to do. Thank you David! -
