My husband and I heard about Davey and Marissa through a friend, looked at their photo gallery and I instantly loved the photos. We got our engagement photos done with them and was then so excited for the wedding photos. They are incredibly kind people and do absolutely amazing work!! Davey and Marissa were incredible! They were so patient with us and very professional! Davey did our engagement photos and they both were at our wedding to take pictures. Davey is such a talented artist -- his eye for light and color is evident in every photo, and he pays attention to detail. He could tell us to make small changes (a hand in a pocket, a foot placed in a certain way) to get the most flattering poses. We used Davey for our engagement pictures and our wedding day, and both experiences were wonderful. We loved his use of the drone to capture some large group shots of our wedding party! It was important to me to get pictures on the beach, and wow, did Davey come through! If you want a photographer who listens to your wish list and then photographs you and your loved ones more beautifully than you thought possible, Davey is your guy. He and Marissa are an incredible team and a peaceful energy to have present on the wedding day. We are so, so, SO thrilled with every minute we had with them. Davey and Marissa were amazing to work with from the beginning. They took the time for our first meeting to sit down and get to know us. They made an amazing first impression! They came prepared with their portfolio and all the services they offer. We utilized them for our engagement photos AND wedding photos. We had no idea what we were doing wedding wise, but they were there with us the entire time with their knowledge and expertise. They helped with wedding timelines and worked well with our wedding coordinator. They made thumb drives of our wedding pictures for parents of the bride/groom. And most importantly… the pictures turned out wonderful. They captured our day perfectly.

A hurricane wedding
Davey and Marissa were absolutely incredible right from the first meeting til the final pics were sent to us! If you are looking for a photographer don’t look any further! Our first wedding date was set for the weekend that hurricane Helene came through. We were unable to have the wedding on the weekend of the hurricane and Davey was flexible to work with us to find a new date that worked for everyone. We had our new wedding date in October and we still had an unexpected rain storm pass through Davey and Marissa got stuck with us running through the rain with umbrellas to save my dress. They are so kind and had the best positive attitudes! They were so quick to get everyone laughing to get great smiles! They even got our small children laughing so we have some amazing pictures of everyone. Communication with them was so easy. I was able to text Davey with any concerns or plans I had for special pictures that I wanted. When we received the final gallery I shared the link with everyone in the wedding party. Everyone was so blown away by the quality of the pictures and the amazing shots that Davey and Marissa got!

Captured our day perfectly!
Davey and Marissa were wonderful to work with right from the beginning. Our engagement session was so chill, and the pictures were gorgeous. On the wedding day, Davey and Marissa were so professional and courteous and made sure we got in all of our desired shots while still being flexible. The pictures turned out exactly as we had hoped! They really captured all the details and moments of our day so beautifully. They are a steal of a deal to get two photographers who know what they’re doing and give you such beautiful images. Unlike a lot of wedding photos today that are either way over exposed or dark and moody, we knew we wanted timeless, classic colors and images. That’s just what we got!

Our experience with Davey Morgan Photography was absolutely wonderful! Davey and Marissa are absolutely phenomenal! I always feel awkward and uncomfortable with too much attention on me, but Davey and Marissa truly helped us both feel great. Our engagement photos were gorgeous, and the wedding pictures even more so. I love all of our pictures so much! Davey and Marissa were wonderful to work with. All of our wedding guests were complimentary of the photos, and we are so happy with how they turned out. I would definitely recommend having them photograph your reception too. Those were some of my favorites because Davey was able to capture everyone having a blast. Also, they get your photos back incredibly fast. I think we had all of our photos back within 4 days after the wedding.

We loved working with this duo! Pictures were quick and easy to take! They were great with the kids in our wedding. We asked that they knock out as many photos as possible before our ceremony so our wedding party could enjoy cocktail hour, and Davey and Marissa delivered! Davey is an incredibly talented photographer who captures the feeling of each moment perfectly. He was friendly, professional and fun. Our wedding day had the great fortune to be very cold and rainy, plus we were on a mountain with no backup plan and exposure to the elements! Davey and Marissa were great sports about it, and we ended up with amazing photos despite the weather. Thanks, guys!

We are so happy that we chose to use Davey and Marissa Morgan as the photographers for our wedding. The care and attention to detail that they gave was second to none. Davey and Marissa are the best dynamic duo! We were in awe of their amazing talent from our engagement photos, to my bridals, to the wedding day coverage itself! Absolutely in love with our photos!
Davey and Marissa are the best photographers ever! They made Jonathan and I feel very comfortable and we were able to relax and be ourselves. We only had 5 months to plan our wedding and Davey was very accommodating and we were able to get pictures of us and to us fast before our big day. (Engagement pictures and bridal portraits.) Our Biltmore session after our wedding was simply magical and the perfect addition to our already beautiful wedding pictures. I’ve seen Davey’s work before because he shot my sister and brother in laws wedding. I love how the people in his pictures still look like people! I’ve seen many wedding pictures before where people looked washed out or too photoshopped / blurred, so I appreciate Davey’s attention to color and detail. You can’t go wrong with using Davey as your photographer!

We LOVE Davey and Marissa
Our wedding photos are excellent. We had a videographer also, the two had never met, but Davey literally gets along with everyone so well. A blessing to have him capture our forever memories❤️

Amazing Photography!
I cannot recommend Davey Morgan Photography enough! Davey and Marissa were fantastic—very quick to respond, easy to communicate with, and a pleasure to work with on our wedding day. Our photos turned out gorgeous, the colors were stunning and truly captured the beauty of our venue and day. Davey also offers drone photography which made for some very cool pictures! Davey and Marissa are incredible. They were so personable, understanding, and just flat-out SKILLED. I'm so thankful a friend recommended them! My grandfather passed shortly after my wedding. Davey rushed all of the wedding photos with my grandfather in them so that we could have them before the funeral. Very wonderful and considerate.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience working with Davey and Melissa! Davey made our engagement photography session a memorable experience. Davey and Melissa also did a wonderful job with my bridal pictures. On our wedding day, Davey and Melissa were willing to come early in the morning for pictures before our morning wedding. They took beautiful pictures of my husband and I, as well as, our wedding party and families. We espescially enjoyed the pictures of the wedding decorations and food, as they will always help us remember our special day. I have no clue where to begin. They were extremely kind, helpful and took all the pictures I could have ever wished for! Their hardest people they had to work with was the kids during photo sessions. Davey and Marissa are truly the best, and we feel so fortunate that they were our wedding photographers. Several of our family members commented on how kind they were and how comfortable they made everyone feel. When my bustle broke dancing, Davey went to his car for a safety pin for my mom to fix it! They truly went above and beyond that way the whole day. We love our pictures and they really captured the day so beautifully. We will treasure their photos for years and years. We originally hired a different photographer for our engagement and wedding photos.. after several issues with our engagement photo shoot, we decided to find a different one for the wedding. We are SOOO grateful to Davey Morgan photography for giving us the best photos we could ever imagine for our wedding. Needless to say, we had no regrets for switching!
From day one, they were super accommodating and organized. They really took the time to talk to us and ask questions to verify that they would be the people we wanted and needed on our wedding day.
Our wedding photos looked like they were straight out of a fairy tale book and are beyond everything we asked for!!! Davey's wife even helped take our flower girl to the bathroom and brought us water to keep us on schedule and everyone happy. She also kept a towel on her to pat the sweat off of our faces so the July wedding photos wouldn't look sweaty. That is only a small example of how detail oriented they were!!!
They were very respectful of the event and kept in the background but still scored AMAZING shots!! I was shocked at how beautiful some of the shots were when we got them back! I could rave on and on but seriously- I would not have wanted any other photographers for our wedding and we still rave today about how happy we are that we decided to hire them instead!!!

Davey is a true artist! We booked his services for a last minute engagement session. He worked with the locations that we selected and knew how to optimize his surroundings to get the best shot. He wasn't afraid to cross streams and climb rocks to find the best angle (literally!). My fiance and I were overly impressed with how nice he was and how comfortable he was able to make us feel. His services are extremely professional and even better, he is a great guy to work with. We just received the downloads within 10 days turn around (he also had many other events going on between!). I love every photo that he provided and cannot wait to show the family. I only wish that we could have him for our out-of-state wedding! To top it off, his rates are beyond generous for the work that he provides. Highly recommend his services and applaud his art!

Davey and Marissa did an AMAZING job with our Wedding Weekend photography! My husband and I had two ceremonies, a Hindu Wedding on Friday and a Christian Wedding & Reception on Saturday in North Carolina. They drove up each day with a smile, made us feel at ease in front of the camera, and truly captured the best and most beautiful and memorable moments of our Wedding Weekend Celebration. Davey and Marissa were an absolute DREAM to work with. Right from the beginning, Davey communicated regularly and clearly with me on details and expectations. He was open to adventuring for our engagement shoot, and ended up hiking a fair distance, climbing on rocks and in a creek by a waterfall, and of course capturing beautiful pictures for us.
For the wedding, Davey and Marissa both were professional, easy going, and were able to capture moments I'll be able to treasure forever. Davey is a pro at getting uncooperative kids to smile for the camera! They both picked out perfect shots to take, and kept us all right on schedule and smiling, even in 95 degree July weather!
To sum up, I absolutely recommend them for any type of shoot. They're professional, easy going, and make BEAUTIFUL pictures. I'm so thankful for what they did for us!!!

I just received my wedding photos (FOUR days after my wedding!!!!) and they are BEAUTIFUL. So much better than I could've ever imagined! Davey and Marissa were so helpful on my wedding day, and I loved having them there! They tried to keep me warm in the cold, carried my accessories and train, and were overall just sweethearts. PLEASE do yourself a favor and book them. The photos are the most beautiful that I have ever seen, and will last us a lifetime.

Davey and Marissa Morgan's skill as photographers is obvious from their numerous awards. It speaks for itself in the photo galleries on their website. So, I want to focus my review on how much fun they made our wedding photos! Before the wedding, I dreaded having to go through hundreds of pictures afterwards. But Davey actually made it such a good experience that, looking back, some of my best memories of the day were the pictures! (Despite the fact that it was between 20 and 30 degrees outside...) They gave us the pictures very quickly after the wedding and I'm confident we will enjoy them for decades as will our children after us.

Davey and Marissa are the most talented photographers in the Upstate! They captured our surprise engagement, did another engagement session for us in Charleston where we met, and did our wedding. I cannot express how many of our friends and family have raved over how wonderful our engagement photos are. They do publication worthy photography and to have that level of photos of us in the city where we met, is priceless to us. After having such great experiences with them, we knew the very fist vendor we had to book for our wedding was Davey and we could not be more thankful to have had them there to capture our wedding day! They are both exceptionally talented and kind individuals! We will continue to use them for all of our photography needs in the future as well.

And they also did an amazing job of catching some incredible candid moments. They were never intrusive which made dealing with the chaos that day much easier. You can tell they love their jobs, they take it seriously, and they have fun while doing it! Their positive energy makes it more fun for everyone. I had such an amazing time at my bridal shoot, and my husband even mentioned how much fun he had at our engagement shoot with Davey. Our pictures turned out beautiful for every shoot and the wedding! They captured every important detail at the ceremony/reception, and didn't miss a beat! We even had a little hiccup the week before the wedding and Davey and Marissa were very understanding and supportive. I could not be happier that I chose Davey to capture my wedding day! He was so easy to work with and willing to come up to Asheville for the event. He and Merissa (Davey's wife) truly love what they do and just want to make your day memorable. Their sweet personalities are contagious and it shows in their work. Our wedding was close to when Merissa was actually due with their first baby. Davey was fully prepared with a back up plan incase Merissa was in labor. He made us feel very confident that if he couldn't be there, someone would be that he, himself would have chosen to shoot his own wedding. He made us both feel so relaxed the entire time and the pictures show it! There is no doubt who I would chose again. I can't wait to have him take some more pictures of us in the future!

I knew from our first meeting that I wanted Davey and Marissa to be our wedding photographer. Their photography and professionalism speaks for itself. Throughout our engagement photo shoot Davey made us feel relaxed and we had so much fun! As the wedding approached we went through what pictures we wanted before and after the ceremony. This was so helpful for a stressed bride! On our wedding day he and Marissa were fabulous, creating a relaxed and fun environment for everyone. Having followed Davey and Marissa's photography through the many life events of our friends and acquaintances, we knew we needed them for our wedding. Their photos always capture the joy in those special moments. I don't even know where to start, because I have so many wonderful things to say about Davey. For one thing, he braved the snow in the mountains so that I could have the most magical winter engagement shoot of my dreams. I will treasure those pictures forever. Then, he traveled several hours to take bridal portraits at my wedding venue. I was so impressed at how prepared he was- even having a sheet for me to sit on, so that I wouldn't get my dress dirty. Again, the photos turned out beautifully and I was proud to display one of the bridals at my wedding reception. On the big day, Davey was professional and made great use of his time. He and his assistant were there for all those great moments. I can't wait to see the pictures from the best day of my life. I know they will be awesome.

What is the value of timeless, beautiful moments immortalized for generations to come rather than lost? That's Davey Morgan's photography. Davey and his lovely wife Marissa photographed our engagement photos, rehearsal dinner, wedding and reception, and we are SO GLAD we chose them!
I've known Marissa since middle school and witnessed her blossom into an artist, carer for animals and now mother. I've known Davey since the two began dating, and he is an incredible photographer and kind person. It's a joy to work with them. I'm normally really shy around photographers and feel awkward making the strange poses, but Davey makes it fun and relaxing. He definitely caught the best sides of me, and I love the photos!!!!!!
He has a signature style filled with brightness and light that makes every day look like it was a perfect, clear day. It definitely worked well for our wedding, which was in the garden
Besides Davey's passion for his photography skills, you get the total package. He and Marissa make gorgeous photo books (ours is literally white leather with golden edges, and it's the nicest wedding photo book I've ever seen!!!!!! I'm so thankful!!!), he is an illustrator, he does baby and family photographer, and the two of them are just really warm and friendly. I felt so glad he was available to do our engagement photos plus rehearsal dinner photos.
I give the highest recommendation of Davey Morgan Photography to anyone interested in timeless, joyful photos that will last beyond our lifetime.

When we got engaged, finding a good wedding photographer was a top priority for the two of us. Once we confirmed that Davey & Marissa were available for our date, we were stress free through the rest of the engagement & wedding day, as far as our wedding photos went. Davey & Marissa had photographed several of our friends' weddings so we knew however crazy that day might be, rain or shine, we would have wonderful photographs to remember the day by. They were so thoughtful and easy to coordinate with, offering ideas for photo-shoot locations while asking questions to understand what we were looking for. Neither of us are naturally comfortable in front of the camera, but Davey & Marissa made us feel completely at ease and made our shoots fun. We are so very happy with our photos. They are just what we hoped they would be. They have a style that captures the natural beauty of the day/event. I would absolutely recommend them!
