We've loved pies and baked goods from Daube's in the past, and were very pleased to learn they could provide our wedding "cake" as well. Because we had a morning wedding, we elected to go with an artful display of donuts rather than a traditional cake (though Daube's does offer those as well). The bakers put together a beautiful display of donuts that not only traveled well but tasted great with morning coffee. We were especially pleased with the custom heart-shaped donuts they included as a topper--very cute!

Cynthia was wonderful to work with! She met with us and was very polite but yet straight forward with what we needed and how they would ensure our donuts were perfect. The donuts were delicious, presented beautifully, and the quantity was perfect. We would recommend Daubes to everyone as they ensure top quality service and taste.

We loved the carrot chocolate cake we had for our wedding! And the decorating was just how we had imagined! The colored actually matched our flowers perfectly. High quality cake from scratch :-) Yum!

The first day I met with them they were great to work with, they were very concerned I was getting exactly what I wanted. But they are creative, and helped me design my own cake from scratch!
Best of all it looked beautiful, teasted wonderful and we had no problems what so ever! Thanks Daube's!

We asked for a whiskey chocolate cake, something that wasn't on their menu and they delivered! I was so happy that they were willing to ask their different pastry chefs if any of them had a recipe they would be able to use for our cake size. It tasted amazing, and definitely was what we were looking for!

My cake was exquisite and it tasted good. Best thing about Daube's is they can get the smooth 'fondant' look just using the far more well received buttercream frosting. The lights at my reception were hot and barely melted the cake more than one or two drips. The cake tasting at daubes has like 12 flavors and they do any combo you ask. Only problem was they list our deposit record and we just had to write Another one after we saw at least they hadn't cashed it. They assumed too that this meant the order was cancelled. At least thanks to their follow up calls, at least they did that so we could set them straight

Daube's is a great bakery with many different types of cakes. Lots of fondant options as well as interesting inside options. I love the carrot cake.

As far as wedding cakes go in this area, this was a bit more expensive.. but very worth it! Cynthia sits down with each bride for a tasting and consultation, she sketches out your cake right with you and makes suggestions. As well as looking beautiful, my cake was delicious! There are many options as far as fillings, flavors.. I personally recommend the tirimisu souffle cake!!

My advice is to have a good idea of what you want when you meet with the bakery. Also, have a good idea of the number of guests because we ordered too much cake.

First and foremost, our cake was beautiful and tasted delicious. They created a cake that was exactly what we had asked for. However, we did run in to some issues that were rather unsettling. To begin, I had to make every effort to confirm details, figure out payment dates, and finalize everything. I never received a call from Daube's about when payment was due or to go over any final details. I made all of these efforts on my own, which is really very strange in comparison to other wedding vendors. Secondly, my fiance and I went in to pay our final balance a couple weeks prior to our wedding, and luckily we went in because we found out that for some reason the three sheet cakes we'd ordered in addition to our wedding cake had been cancelled. Someone had mistakenly marked our sheet that we had called and cancelled these cakes, when we had never done such a thing. The issue was resolved before the wedding date, thankfully. Another problem we encountered on the actual wedding day. We were told our cake would be delivered at 6 PM (2 hours before it was to be served). On the day of the wedding, the Daube's delivery staff arrived at 3:30 PM (half hour before our ceremony) to drop the cake off, and told us that they do not do deliveries as late as 6 PM. Why we were told this on the DAY OF our wedding is beyond me. The cake also arrived without any box or anything to transport it in - while I never asked how it would be arriving, I had assumed it would come in some sort of container that could be used at the end of the evening to transport any leftovers. I would recommend any brides to discuss this with them prior to your wedding date. Had the cake not looked and tasted amazing, I would have given a very negative review due to my experience with Daube's. I found it very unprofessional for them to arrive 3 hours prior to their scheduled delivery time with absolutely no notice, and not to clarify this with me before the wedding date itself.

We hired Daube's to provide our wedding cake and cupcakes. The cupcakes and cake were delicious and very pretty, but we ran out right away and couldn't figure out why - turns out Daube's had not delivered as many cupcakes as they were supposed to! Luckily our caterer was amazing and brought in cheesecake for everyone who was unable to grab a cupcake before they were gone, but it was very frustrating. If you hire them just be prepared you may not get all that you paid for!
