I care a ton about photos as I love capturing memories and moments, however it was really important to me to also be super present at my wedding. For this, Danny was perfect. He has a way about him that makes him feel like a friend you've known is just hanging around, vs feeling like a camera is all over you. He made us laugh so it felt really natural. He spent time getting to know us beforehand too which helped with this. Our bus got lost and was running late to the venue, so we missed part of our photo time - and it was really important to me to get to cocktail hour, so Danny helped us get some really solid pics but still make it on time to cocktails. He nailed it with in the moment pictures. He also produces photos that evoke emotion and memories. If you want to remember moments that make you feel something, book Danny. Also super fast and helpful with responding to emails etc and getting photos back to us! -

Where do I even begin? Danny is everything you want in your wedding photographer (especially since they spend most of the day by your side). He has great vibes, is kind, talented and passionate about what he does. I've been following Danny's work for years now and when I got the opportunity to book him, you're damn skippy I made sure to reach out and make sure he was available for my wedding day. He was the first vendor I booked. He captured everything so beautifully. My husband wasn't too fond of the thought of all the attention and taking so many photos but Danny made him comfortable (it's those great vibes!). We've only got a snippet of what Danny captured so far but I can't stop looking at the photos we have received. They let me relive the most perfect day and I am so so grateful Danny was there to help us capture it all. -

Looking back at just the sample of photos that Danny and his assistant Mat captured on our wedding is enough to make me tear up and relive simply the best day of our lives. From the moment they arrived on our wedding day they didn't feel like just photographers. They felt like they were part of our family and friends celebrating the special day with us. Danny and Mat were so organized and utilized the most out of the time we put aside for Portraits and sunset photos so my now husband and I could get back to the party and celebrate. If you're getting married in the DMV, Delmarva/Mid-Atlantic, I cannot recommend Daniel and Mat enough to capture your most precious moments. -

Danny is so passionate about photography and you can really tell he loves what he’s doing. Because of this, he approaches each wedding likes it’s own unique experience. He is the opposite of cookie cutter. I was really drawn to the emotions I felt when I looked at his photos. His ability to capture the moment is really impressive. The day of, he was great. Everyone felt so comfortable working with him and he was efficient and direct. He is truly a gem in the wedding industry! Hire him! -

While of course the end result - the photos - are what matters most, keep in mind you'll be spending a LOT of time with your photographer. Danny was so easygoing, had a great sense of humor, and fit in so well with our entire wedding party. Though he's truly an artist with his photography, he has excellent administrative skills as well. He was always responsive to questions, and kept us informed about the process after the wedding to get the photos. You have the option to have him make your album as well, and we are so happy we took advantage of this. He brings the same eye he has taking and editing the picures to creating an album for you that tells a beautiful story. We recommend him without reservation. -

We loved working with Danny - from the pre-wedding zoom planning calls through the day-of. He's professional but fun and easy-going. he's organized but flexible. Our wedding got complicated when on the day of we had to change the time and location of our reception because of the rain. he knew how much i wanted to have photos outside so he ran around with my bridesmaids and I as we took advantage of the breaks in the rain. he gave great direction on where and how to stand so everyone felt confident and our pictures showed it!
during the ceremony and the reception i barely noticed he was there, and when we got to look through our photos i was amazed at all of the great moments he captured, some that i wasn't even aware of! and it was great bc he captured beautiful candid photos of not just us but all of our guests.
When he delivers the photos he did so in chronological order and going back and forth between what me and my bridesmaids were doing and what my husband and his groomsmen were doing. My hubs and I got to re-live the day and see what it was like from the other's perspective, which was really special. Our photos are now everywhere - our kitchen, living room, office, bedroom, social media, and I love looking at them every day! -

Danny was one the major highlights of our wedding day. He made everyone feel comfortable and most importantly, he made it fun!
Danny is the best of the best! He captured our wedding day so beautifully. His communication is clear and straightforward. He’s so easy to work with! My husband and I have had the privilege of seeing Danny shoot many of our friends weddings as well. Each wedding is beautifully photographed in its own unique way. All in all, Danny is the best and was truly a highlight of our wedding day. -

Do not hesitate to hire this guy!
We honestly cannot say enough positive stuff about working with Danny! We were originally attracted to his material because we loved how he seemed to capture the unexpected candid shots that really show all the emotion of the day and his vibrant and fun colors that weren’t washed out by too many filters. All of this was definitely correct but after working with Danny we also learned just how easy he was to work with and how natural and comfortable he made us feel during both our engagement shoot and our wedding day.
We have gotten an unreal amount of compliments and questions on who our photographer was because all of our photos are stunning. We also loved that he was able to get great shots of a majority of our guests too so that we could share some photos with our friends and family that they are actually in! Zero regrets about working with Danny. One of the best decisions we could’ve made for our wedding! You’ll def love to work with him. -

Hire this man! Danny was so much fun and so easy to work with. You will not find anyone who takes more beautiful photos or who captures all of the special moments more perfectly. In terms of working with Danny, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We hired Danny for over a year and a half of work. From the time of our first phone call until the final day he finished editing and publishing our pictures, he was incredibly helpful, honest, and easy-going with anything we requested of him. He understands the perfect balance of lending his expertise and opinions to his clients when needed, while also stepping back and going with what’s most important to the client. His pictures also blew us away. Danny has a natural talent in capturing the beauty and emotion of every moment in a breath-taking way. Danny and his team was fantastic. He was well prepared for the shoot and had his plan organized based on our needs well in advance. He was quick with getting us set up for the shots, and took a lot of great shots. He spent time making sure lighting and positions were perfect. We even requested some unique photography and he was happy to help. Even after the wedding, we had guests come up to us and say that the photographer was very fun and cool to work with. We had no idea they were still getting into the dancing and party. He is worth every dollar! -

If you want beautiful pictures, hire Danny!
Not sure where to even begin with this one. Just, wow. When searching for a photographer for our multicultural wedding we knew it was going to be tricky. We came upon Danny and I was instantly amazed by his work. His pictures were absolutely stunning and brought so much emotion that I knew he was the one for us. Danny was incredibly professional and and so much fun to work with! He was always available when we needed him and always responded in a timely manner. He made sure to ask as many questions in order to capture our day the way we wanted. He was very respectful when it came to the Hindu ceremony traditions and his curiosity about the ceremony made him an exceptional photographer. On our wedding day he was always making all of us laugh and made everyone at the wedding feel so comfortable. His partner, Mat, was just as awesome. The 2 of them bounced off of each other so well and made the day so amazing. The pictures they took were absolutely stunning. We decided not to get a videographer for our wedding and I wasn't sure if that was a good idea at the time. Seeing the pictures now I have zero regrets. Danny's pictures tell stories the way videos would. I could see emotions on my face that I didn't even realize I was feeling then. If you want beautiful pictures that can tell stories, make you laugh and cry, then you need to book Danny. You won't regret it! -

Hiring Danny was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! We planned our wedding while living cross country and only had a few days to work with for our engagement shoot when we were home for the holidays. Danny was down to hike around with us in the rain at our old field site where Evan proposed. When a pose wasn't working for us, he didn't force it and found something more natural for us.
For our wedding he gave me and my dog a ride to the ceremony when I realized that morning that "Oh yeah, some uber or lyft driver may not want my dog in their car". Danny put Evan and I at ease for intimate moments like our first look, managed our mildly chaotic family for group shots, and humored my cousin who kept calling him Bradley Cooper. We also didn't pick an easy venue to photograph, our ceremony was in front of a shark tank, so that's a moving background with potential for glare.
Not only was Danny a great photographer, but a cool guy to hang out with on one of the craziest days of your life! -

WOW - one beautiful rainy wedding day
From our first Skype session with Danny, we were immediately comfortable and knew we made the right decision. He somehow made everything so easy. While getting ready, we could barely tell he or his assistant were there but he was able to capture all the little moments. After our ceremony it was really hectic with a time crunch and not so great weather, but he remained super chill, quickly organized us and we were able to get all the shots we wanted. His creativity is unimaginable - he turned our rainy day into some truly magical pictures. When we got our photos back we couldn't believe how amazing some of the shots were. He captured all the little moments that we will cherish forever. From the quality of his photography, to the ease of working with hime and really just how much we enjoying hanging out with him on our special day, we couldn't have asked for a better photographer. -

Hiring Danny to be our wedding photographer was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day. Danny is one of those people you know you can rely on, not once in the chaos that is wedding planning did we have any trouble or doubt about hiring Danny. In fact, we looked forward to working with him more than any of the other people on the wedding day. Not only is Danny an absolutely awesome photographer, he is just an all around cool person. And when you are with your photographer all day on the wedding day, that is absolutely something you want. Not only could we joke around with Danny, but it felt like he was one of our lifelong friends just there to enjoy the day, which definitely helped when it came to taking pictures that captured the moment. As for the pictures themselves, we had high expectations because we had already seen the quality of his work and they even exceeded that. They are stunning, better than anything we could have imagined. There were a couple times when Danny would spot something that we hadn't even realized was there, such as a wall that we could stand on or a cool looking tree in a field, things that wouldn't necessarily strike your eye when you first look at it. Those pictures turned out to be some of our favorites from the day. You can tell when working with him that Danny is passionate about his work and takes great pride and care in what he does. He makes sure every picture he takes is up to his high standards, which leaves you with pictures that you'll be proud to show your whole family, pass down to any kids or grandkids you have, and cherish forever. We can't recommend Danny enough, if you're on the fence about this, don't be. You definitely won't regret it. -

Samata Sent on 11/27/2014What better day than today to reflect on how grateful I am for Danny's help for our wedding! I can't even begin to explain the positive impact he had on our wedding and our wedding memories. We had an Indian wedding which involves quite a few days worth of events. We did not initially plan on capturing all of these pre-wedding events but later changed our minds and did want additional days photographed, Danny was incredibly flexible with us and was gracious about figuring out a price that worked for him and us. Each day went incredibly smoothly and I did not have to worry at all. He has a quite the eye and can spot an artistic shot naturally - he didn't have to make friends/family move to specific spots or places to get good photographs; he can just see them and capture them. It is quite a talent. He was also very respectful of our religion and culture, which we all appreciated as well. We had a videographer and wedding coordinator and they both said that Danny was such a pleasure to work with and got along with everyone, even our crazy family :). He published a few teaser shots on his blog and they are BEAUTIFUL. I have shared them with so many friends/family and the pictures he got are just so vibrant and gorgeous. I really have nothing negative to say at all! We plan on using him to capture our future milestones because he is just that great!! -

Stephanie Sent on 04/25/2013Danny was absolutely wonderful to work with. I found him through the internet and loved all the photos he had on his website. After working with him through engagement photos and now my wedding day, I am confident in saying that Danny could easily charge double what he does. His package prices were already SO reasonable and then they also already included a 2nd shooter!! This was really important to me to have to make sure all angles were covered. In addition, he also gives you rights to print all of the photos (which is super nice because I was able to send images to my grandparents and other relatives, and they could just get prints themselves). I have friends who had to spend hundreds of dollars after the fact in order to get professional prints made to show to their relatives. Furthermore, Danny is not overbearing and he does not order you around like some photographers do, directing you exactly where to look/stand. Danny has so much talent that he is able to take amazing, natural shots without having to sweat the small details. His laid-back approach is just what every bride needs on their wedding day—the last thing I needed that day was someone else stressing me out! By the next morning after my wedding, Danny already had several pictures posted on his facebook page, and they literally brought tears to my eyes how great they were. I am so happy that I chose Danny as my photographer, and I would highly recommend him to ANYONE. Seriously. Go book him now. -

Danielle Sent on 09/29/2011I cannot say enough wonderful things about Danny Bostwick. He was an absolutely amazing person to work with. From the very beginning, as soon as we had the consultation with him we knew he was our photographer. The engagement pictures had to be rescheduled many times due to either bad weather, snow storms, or we weren't able to make it, and Danny stayed on top of it until we had a perfect weekend for engagement shots. After seeing those, I couldn't wait for the wedding pictures. Everyone commented on how great and artistic the photos were. Danny communicated with us prior to the wedding to make sure that we were all on the same page, determine a time line for the day etc. He arrived early on the wedding day to get pictures of us getting ready, etc. He was awesome the whole day, and had to keep us on track to get those perfect sunset pictures (to be honest half way into the reception, we weren't worried about pictures anymore) but he made sure to grab us and get those shots and I am SOOOO glad he did! Danny works his but off to make sure he gets unique and beautiful shots. He was with us from 9:30 in the morning until atleast 11 at night. He was even there after our videographer left, and was able to capture a very special video for us! We got the pictures less than a week later and couldn't believe how great they all turned out. Danny Bostwick is a professional, an artist, and throughout working together became a friend. If you're looking for a photographer, hire him quick, because I have a feeling he will be a "Big Time" photographer within the next 5 years...he is truly that talented.
