Absolutely stunning.

The Danada House was absolutely beautiful. The quaint little rooms as you enter the house lead to a glass hallway and then to the glass Atrium. You feel as though you’re outside, in fact we even saw a deer walk by the window. Jill was a dream to work with.

Absolutely Beautiful Venue

We are so happy we chose Danada house as our reception venue! The background of trees was impeccable with our photographer and videographer. The atrium location was so large and open, with BEAUTIFUL lighting. We couldn't be happier with how the reception looked overall. I personally like that the bathrooms were separated from the dining and dancing area, and there are great options for those with disabilities (large stall, easy access, multiple stalls). The bridal suite is absolutely gorgeous and was phenomenal to use as reprieve during the ceremony to collect myself (we did not get ready there, though). Wish I was getting married again so I could experience the beauty of this venue one more time!

Beautiful setting with laid-back elegance

Danada House was absolutely gorgeous: the grounds (lilacs blooming in late May!), the house, the reception atrium (those lights!). The staff was very friendly and communicative. We were able to select our own caterer (with their suggestions) which was very important to us to have that level of choice. Just know that you are only renting the space, there are no other services included for wedding planning besides suggestions for vendors. You do get an Event Host on the day-of who directs vendors and helps with things like lights and timing for the ceremony procession. The getting-ready area upstairs was very large for the girls (less so for the guys) and just as beautiful as the rest of the venue with antique furniture, etc. If you want a vintage-y (or even rustic with the horse barns!) wedding vibe, this is your place. You can choose pretty much anywhere to have your ceremony, and the grounds are huge. They also host ceremonies in the beautiful atrium (reception location) in case of inclement weather, which was a huge factor in choosing this venue since they had a back-up. Thankfully our rose garden ceremony was on a beautiful day! Would recommend Danada to anyone!

Beautiful- perfect spring wedding!

We got married at Danada House (ceremony and reception) on May 8th, 2021. The whole process was seamless, coordinators were responsive to our emails and questions (quite a few due to COVID), and they were so helpful on the big day. Our photos turned out beautiful. Highly recommend this venue!

A dream come true...

Danada House was the ideal venue for our wedding. The house was charming, elegant, and was the perfect atmosphere for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Our caterer and photography made the most of the location: our guests could move inside and out of the house from one comfortable spot to the next while our photographer captured the beautiful setting.

Danada House was our dream wedding venue and it was everything we hoped it would be.

Perfect Summer Venue

We had our wedding reception at Danada House in June 2019. We loved our experience with Danada House! We selected the venue for it's privacy and beautiful grounds. We loved being the only wedding on the property and our wedding photos turned out beautifully thanks to the gardens/property!

The atrium is the perfect place for a reception. The views through the large windows are beautiful. The dance floor is inviting, since it is in the middle of the room. Guests had a great time outside and inside!

Communication leading up to the wedding was easy as well! Danada makes it easy to select vendors and plan the big day.

Beautiful venue

Danada House is such a beautiful venue and it made our big day so special! I loved the house feel and we chose to decorate using photos and decorations from our home—it made everything feel very personal. Our guests loved the venue too and enjoyed going to see the various rooms during cocktail hour. The ceremony was outdoors and beautiful with the natural landscape and forest so close. Loved every part of getting ready, being married, and partying with friends and family all in the same place

Beautiful, Reasonably-Priced Wedding Venue

We had our wedding at the Danada House in August 2018. We chose the Danada House because it was more reasonably-priced than other locations we had looked at in the city, and because more was included in the rental price (such as the tables and chairs for the reception). We had both our wedding ceremony and reception on-site at the Danada House. We were able to book the venue well in advance of our wedding, and were able to easily re-negotiate how long we would be renting the space on the day (our original reservation had our rental time starting at 4PM, but we eventually changed the start time to 11AM). Jill and the other staff at the Danada House were very helpful and always answered our questions in a timely and professional manner. The success and enjoyment of our wedding were due in part to us choosing the Danada House. It's a beautiful venue for a wedding. We would definitely recommend the Danada House for weddings (both ceremony and reception).

My daughter's wedding was last Friday August 10. So happy that we chose this venue. They were married under the two oak trees on a perfect summer evening. To be able to have everything at the house (Bridal party suites to dress, photos taken on the beautiful grounds, cocktail party on the gorgeous patios and the reception in the atrium) We couldn't have picked a more perfect venue. The grounds were magnificent and we received so many compliments with regard to the venue that everyone who attended would recommend Danada House to anyone.

Jill and the entire Danada House team (and location) were absolutely amazing. Growing up in the area I knew I had to get married at Danada House. Crazy enough, when I went for a tour in December of 2016 to look at summer of 2018, only a few days were available (July 13 and July 20- only fridays). Pro tip- while it is said no dates are reserved (by deposit) until 18 months out- they begin taking names closer to 3 years out. I wish I had known this ahead of time. Nevertheless, our July 20 wedding was beautiful despite the downpour (that forced the ceremony to be relocated inside last minute). Because of the house location and covered areas, we were able to do nearly all of our pictures outside just before the rain started and in-between downpours. Jill was easy to communicate with on scheduling a rehearsal (also inside last minute), allowing me to book the house for an extra hour the week of for picture options day of, and offering suggestions for vendors.
I would highly recommend Danada House to anyone looking for a beautiful locations rain or shine, and their recommended vendors (Angeli's, o'cie floral, DJs for You, Robb Davidson Photography).

We were impressed with Jill at Danada House from the start. Her willingness to work with our wishes for the wedding, her professionalism, and her knowledge of the banquet experience were unsurpassed and sold us on Danada House for our daughter and her husband’s wedding location. The bridal party enjoyed preparing for the wedding inside the lovely home. Outdoors we were surrounded with spectacular photo options. The beauty of the building and the grounds added much to the splendor of the evening. The wedding and reception took our breath away. The flexibility of Danada House also made it possible to have the feeling of an outdoor wedding inside a well air conditioned atrium on a 96 degree day. Kathy and Lori were of great assistance in making the rehearsal and the wedding day run smoothly.

Jill Ludvigsen was and continues to be extremely responsive and helpful, even when we had our last-minute decision on whether to have the ceremony outside or inside. We had the ceremony inside in the atrium, then cocktail hour in the house, and then the reception back in the atrium, and it all flowed so smoothly. We had about 220 guests, and we were not cramped. We even managed to get a group photo on the dance floor. We also booked the coat check, which our guests really appreciated. The bridal suite was so spacious (I had 8 bridesmaids and one bridesman) and perfect for pictures. The groomsmen said they had more than enough space in the grooms suite, too.

A few added bonuses: I grew up riding horses, and my husband is an arborist; both of our personalities truly shined through the Danada House. I was also able to easily map out a Snapchat filter for the space. And, last but not least, we were able to bring our dog for some outside photos!

The moment I saw Danada, I knew that was where I would be married. We had a gorgeous, snowy winter day for our wedding two weeks ago, and Danada was the perfect setting!
From start to finish, working with Jill at Danada was an absolute pleasure. She was so helpful with all of my questions, and she had many good suggestions for vendors.
The price we paid to have the house from 9am-1am was more than we budgeted for, but I wouldn't change it if I did it all over again. It is 100% worth the price - you get so much more value than what you pay. The grounds are breathtaking no matter what season, and the bridal room is SO gorgeous. I had seven bridesmaids, and we all fit very comfortably in it on the morning of the wedding when we were getting ready. We added the coat check on for our guests, which came in handy because of how cold and snowy it was.
Our ceremony was in the atrium, and the Danada staff did a wonderful job getting it ready for the reception after the ceremony ended.
The house and the atrium were both decorated for Christmas, and it was lovely. We didn't have to go overboard with centerpieces and other decorations because the venue itself is so beautiful. Our guests were completely floored by how breathtaking the venue was - and, to top it all off, we had beautiful snow all throughout our ceremony and reception, which looked perfect through the windows of the atrium!
We are so grateful for Jill and the other wonderful women who helped make our wedding night a dream come true!

I recently had my wedding at this venue and could not have been happier with how everything went. Jill and Lori were available by email prior to the event and responded quickly. We were able to leave our homemade decor at the venue the night before the wedding which really helped with day of chaos. The bridal suite was clean, beautiful, and spacious. Our guests could not comment enough on the beauty of the grounds and the house. Lori was there for our whole wedding and was always available if we needed her or had any questions throughout the event. Highly recommend this venue!

The Danada House was our dream-wedding venue. We looked at it over a year and half in advance and were disappointed to learn that there were not any openings until over two years later for a Saturday. Being a teacher, it was important to me to get married in the summer. I inquired many times about cancellations until finally we got a call from Jill telling us that there was an opening in July. The only problem was, we had already put down a deposit on another venue. We decided to just cut our losses and book the Danada House anyway. I am honestly so happy we did because it ended up being the most GORGEOUS wedding venue I could have ever imagined.

Everything about this venue was perfect for our wedding. What I especially loved was how beautiful the Danada House gardens were for our wedding pictures. It is just such a breathtaking venue and I heard throughout the night from guests, “Wow this place is beautiful!”

In addition to the venue itself, I found the staff at the Danada House helpful and friendly. We had the best wedding day and are so thankful we were able to have our wedding at Danada House.

Danada House was our choice from the get-go, and we were so happy when our date opened up for us and we were able to book. It was the best decision. It was perfect. The grounds are so well maintained and so is the house and atrium, it made for the perfect setting for our entire day. Jill and her staff were always friendly, courteous, and quick with responding to questions. We would recommend this venue to any of our friends. Many friends at the wedding even said that had they realized Danada existed when they got married they would have chosen the venue as well.

We held our Indian wedding ceremony and lunch at Danada House and received so many compliments from our guests on the uniqueness of the venue. The staff at Danada House are responsive, professional, and helpful. As we live out of town, we were apprehensive how the planning would go, but Jill answered emails very quickly. Overall, we could not have imagined a better venue or planning experience and would recommend to any bride/groom. We now understand why the venue was booked a year and half out!

There's a reason Danada House books out very far in advance-- it is a beautiful and unique venue that can be rather affordable if you choose your vendors well. I have no complaints about working with Jill or her staff either. Loved having our reception here! The rooms upstairs are so nice to have for the bridal party as well, and the house rooms are perfect for a photo booth!

We had our July 17th wedding here this year and cannot say enough good things about it!! We first booked after visiting in January shortly after becoming engaged. Neither one of us had been there before but the pictures online looked lovely and we liked that we could have the ceremony and reception at the same venue. It was covered with snow when we first went, and while they were showing us the atrium a deer came up to the back through the woods and you could see it through the windows! SOLD!
We came again in the spring and it was lovely, but then the week of our wedding when we came to set up it was AMAZING! Everything was in full bloom, even prettier than pictures! The bride's room is to die for, just a gorgeous place to set up in and made for THE BEST getting ready photos! The staff there is just wonderful and the vendors are amazing too (We used Chef by Request, whom we HIGHLY recommend for price and quality!)
The price was very reasonable, especially since we had our wedding on a Thursday, which also gave us plenty of flexibility as to the time frame we were able to book and work with.
We had an outdoor wedding, and they have a rain option of going inside the atrium, but the weather turned out amazing for our day.
Long before the wedding I knew we'd picked the perfect place because whenever i told even complete strangers where we were having our wedding, if they were from the area they would sigh and get this far away happy look in their eyes and say "oh that place is just wonderful" and give a list of the events they've been to there and how amazing they were.
All in all we had the perfect "Pintrest" wedding at the Dananda. When we booked it we couldn't even have imagined how perfect it was going to be. Everyone is still talking about it and telling us how beautiful it was two months later, as well as how convenient of a location it is. Several hotels in the area will shuttle your guests too and from the Danada for no extra cost if you reserve a wedding

My husband and I just got married at the Danada House on August 8 of this year (2014) and it was amazing! Our day was spectacular and we were able to make it our own. Jill was always great throughout the entire process! She would answer all of our questions right away and made sure everything was going as planned. I loved this place the minute I saw it, I did not need to see another venue. Here you can decorate the way you want, bring in what food you want, basically tailor it they way you want it to look. This was very important to us to bring in our personality. I would highly recommend using the Danada House! Our guests loved the venue as well, saying it was the most beautiful place for a wedding!

Danada House is THE place to get married in the west Chicago suburbs. Their venue is one of a kind, offering natural beauty, seclusion and a lot of freedom to personalize the space. When you drive in, it’s like entering a world of your own—you almost forget you’re in the middle of a suburb. It’s wonderful that your party is the only one the grounds so you don’t have to compete with other weddings like you would at a banquet hall.

Many of my June 20, 2014 wedding guests had never been to Danada and raved about how beautiful the wedding was. The best part is you don’t have to break the bank with decorations because the space is so beautiful on its own. For our outdoor ceremony, we had four lanterns sitting on pillars and rose petals down the aisle and it was gorgeous. There are also a ton of different locations on the grounds for your pictures. I can’t wait to see all the unique shots that we’ll have… some even include horses!

The service at Danada is also exceptional. Jill is great to work with—she’s very organized responsive and answered many of my questions. Danada does book out very quickly so if you’re considering this venue, I recommend you visit as soon as possible to try to secure a date. Thank you so much for making my day so special!

Danada House is a magical place for a wedding reception. Our event was in November, so we didn't even get to enjoy the beautiful grounds and outdoor patios. Even so, it was a beautiful place for our event. Everyone loved the cocktail hour in the house. It had a homey feel to it, especially since we were able to decorate it with photos of the bride and groom and their families. Upstairs in the house was the most fantastic bridal party suite for photos, getting ready and just hanging out. The banquet area was also clean, spacious and so lovely! Everyone we dealt with was very helpful and professional.

I absolutely love this venue. I was lucky enough to be blessed with the most perfect weather for our wedding day, but regardless, the scenery is beautiful and I can't wait for my pictures to come back. there are multiple locations on site for pictures, formal and informal, a great set up for cocktail hour and reception, and a spacious upstairs for bustling and freshening up. The venue is perfect if you would like something unique and comfortable for your ceremony and/or reception, much better than a hotel or banquet hall. I got so many compliments from my guests that this was the best venue they had ever seen. Also you can pick from a handful of food vendors which is nice and the staff is incredibly helpful and friendly as well! I couldn't have been happier to share day at the danada house in Wheaton

Beautiful! Danada House is the picture perfect venue for an outdoor wedding and gorgeous reception. I worked with Jill Ludvigsen, who was very attentive and responsive to any questions I had. The grounds and house is absolutely stunning and every guest was impressed by the venue. We couldn't have dreamed of a better place to get married!!!

Danada House is GORGEOUS!!!!!! The outside gardens, the house, and atrium is just amazing. Just finished a wedding there, and have nothing but great things to say. We did have to move the ceremony inside because it was storming, but the staff was quick to set up the chairs and roll with the new ceremony site. I would HIGHLY suggest Danada House to anyone and everyone!!!

The Danada House (in my opinion) is the most beautiful place to have your wedding. The whole house exudes charm. Every room is so different, yet so stunning. Having my wedding at Danada House turned all of my wedding dreams into a reality. The grounds and gardens are absolutely gorgeous and offered so many amazing photo locations, and provided the perfect place for my outdoor ceremony. The spacious house is just wonderful and provided an ideal place for me and my entire bridal party to "beautify" and prepare for the day, as well as serve as the location for the cocktails. And the recently-added atrium was just the most beautiful reception location. The floor-to-ceiling windows and hanging lights made my reception truly magical! And working with the Danada House staff and preferred vendors was everything I could have hoped for. Everything went so smoothly and perfectly, and everyone was so friendly, helpful, and professional throughout the entire process. Danada House truly made my wedding a day to remember!

Sweet staff, answered all questions. House and grounds beautiful and clean. Nice bathrooms! Cozy feel, but spread out so guests can mingle. Great if you want to use an outside caterer! Very quick with return of deposit, too! Wish I had another huge event to plan because I would definitely go back. The area is a beautiful place to take pictures, barn and stables nearby. Beautiful bridal suite to get ready and suite for the groomsmen. Plenty of space for hair and makeup artists to spread out.

I had a destination wedding and was looking for a venue to host a reception for our family and friends upon our return. Once I saw the Danada House I knew this was the place! It is such a unique and beautiful venue. We had the cocktail hour in the house and then moved into the georgeous atrium for the brunch reception. I had a fall themed reception and the beautful atrium with the 3 walls of windows really allowed the fall colors to shine! Jill and Lori were very helpful in planning and answering any questions that came up. Highly recommend!!

The Danada House was the perfect place for us to have our wedding and reception. Everything was housed in the same location and it is SO beautiful! The staff was friendly and accommodating. The Danada House was wedding venue of our dreams. We were married in the west lawn and because the dense garden and landscaping is so beautiful we did not have to purchase ceremony flower. The staff was very attentive to our needs and they worked with the caterer to make sure everything went smoothly.But they are not the type of people that re going to wine and dine you. They are a not-for-profit organization
To fund the DuPage County forest reserve. They are not rude, they are very friendly. But the property sells itself so don't go in there expected to be catered to because it just wont happen. Its a refreshingly relaxed and comfortable experience working with Jill and Lori. The house is beautiful, but not stuffy and the grounds are perfectly manicured. The bride and groom rooms are upstairs on separete ends of the hallway are perfect for preceremony wedding party pictures as the decor is just fabulous and there is enough seating. When we looked at them in March of 2011 all the Saturdays until November of 2012 were already booked so we chose a
Friday. Our guests kept going on with complements . The atrium looked amazing! Tour wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and reception was perfect! Thank you Danada House!

We just had our wedding here, and absolutely loved the venue. It is one of a kind, and we received so many compliments on it. One guest even said it was like the house in the movie Father of the Bride! It was simple, yet very elegant, and beautiful. Everyone there is so great and helpful. Jill was so easy to work with to pick a date and set everything up. I would highly recommend this venue!

I have always loved Danada House and the surounding area so having my wedding there was a easy decision. My wedding was in December so the house was decorated with a Christmas tree and other Christmas decorations. WIth all the decorations put up at Danada House I did not need to add more. The staff were helpful and the venue was gorgeous.

The Danada House is an absolutely stunning venue for your wedding! We loved it from the first time we visited. All of our guests were blown away at how beautiful the atrium was! We loved that we were able to have the ceremony and the reception all at the same location. The grounds are so beautiful even in November that we did all of our photos there. Jill was so great to work with.

After an unfortunate turn of events with our original venue, we were re-planning with 2 months to go until our date. With a 2 month time period, availability for a Saturday was impossible, so we had to get comfortable with a Sunday wedding. Even though we thought it unlikely for Danada House to have any openings left in 2011, I called Danada House and spoke with Jill - explained our turn of events, and she positively suggested 9/11. That date bothered us at first, but we decided that 9/11 will now have positive connection for us and we went with it! Jill, Kathy and Laurie were all so responsive, not just to emails, but they actually answered the phone! Danada House knows how to do what they do best, aesthetics, layout, idea generation, while allowing the other wedding vendors to do what they do best (Yes, you do actually get to use your own vendors! More about that in my other reviews). The house, the grounds, the stables, horses, atmosphere were absolutely perfect. The incompetence and disregard at our previous venue was further evidenced by the professionalism, excitement and constant concern shown by those at Danada House. Everything happens for a reason......we are so thankful that a horrible wedding experience was wiped out by our perfect day at Danada House. Beautiful grounds, beautiful house, wonderful staff and very reasonable price. They have my full recommendation!!

Having my wedding at the Danada House was my dream! The grounds and house are beautiful! I was able to take pictures, get married, and have my reception all steps from each other.

Everyone at the Danada House was very friendly and accommodating. My aunt did all the flowers and decorating and Jill and Kathy were very helpful--even helping us pack up at the end of the night.

The price was surprisingly not too bad either. They give you a list of preferred caterers and we went with Angeli's. Their food and service were amazing and so were their prices. I've had friends pay way more for their wedding than us, and their weddings were held in a traditional hotel banquet hall with no windows or character. You definitely can't find many other places that are as beautiful as Danada.

Danada House was fantastic! Jill was great about getting all the details together and working with my caterer to get everything organized for the big day. They were great about helping with suggesting ceremony sites and helping me work out all the things that I wanted for the day. The property is beautiful and it made for a wonderful night!

The Danada House is truly a beautiful and unique place to hold a wedding reception. It was so warm and inviting and set the perfect stage for our reception. We loved it and can't imagine having our reception anywhere else! They allowed us to bring our DIY items in advance to store and we especially appreciated that. Thank you!

We fell in love with Danada House for our ceremony and reception! It was exactly what we had envisioned for our wedding day. The outdoor ceremony site is gorgeous with a brick aisle framed by natural flowers and trees. The atrium was absolutely gorgeous for our reception. With four walls of windows and hanging lights-it was spectacular. Jill was a pleasure to work with and all of our questions were answered promptly. I would highly recommend this venue...just book it early, dates fill up quickly!!

Having your wedding here- nobody else can compare with the beauty you get for how reasonable the cost is. I am so glad I chose this venue. The staff is very accommodating and helpful. They make sure you have as little to worry about as possible. The gardens themselves are breath-taking and perfect for pictures. You will definitely feel taken care of if you choose this venue- as you should be.

This is a beautiful setting that was perfect for both our ceremony and reception. Danada was extremely flexible to allow us to use a caterer that wasn't on their list and to allow us to expand the reception to the adjoining picnic grounds, where we set up activities for the kids like a bounce house and volleyball net. They even allowed us to move and use the picnic tables from the stable area. I loved the option that they offered to give our guests horse-drawn carriage rides through the woods. One of my fondest memories from my wedding was this relaxing ride with friends and family after the ceremony. The grounds and house were impeccably clean and they allowed us to really utilize the house for dressing, photographs and more. It's a first class operation that is well worth the money.

My husband and I got married about a week and a half ago, and we had our reception at the Danada House. What an absolutely perfectly gorgeous place to have a reception. We had our coctail hour in the actual house which is old victorian style, with much character and warmth. And then the reception in the glass atrium off the back of the house. It is like a dream. You bring your own caterer, see review of my chef catering, and they set everything up the way you want it. We did all of our post wedding pictures on the beautiful preserved grounds where the house is located. It was May so everything was green, but not too many flowers yet. But the grounds are perfectly maintained, and our pictures turned out beautifully. I can honestly say my wedding was perfect. Everyone contributed to this, but the reception choice of the Danada House was the beginning of perfection. I strongly reccomend it to anyone!!

We chose the Danada House because we wanted something different than a typical banquet hall/country club/hotel wedding. The venue is amazing. The gardens are so beautiful that your flowers can be minimal. They remodeled the grounds last summer and added an awesome deck between the house and the atrium where we had cocktail hour. Jill was really nice to work with and went out of her way to accomodate us. They have very strict rules about certain things because it is a dupage county property- but nothing that unreasonable. Their list of preferred vendors is very good. We used a caterer and chair rental place from the list and were very happy with both. We rented the place for the whole day and took pictures getting ready upstairs and on the grounds - in the gardens, paddock and barn area. They look like they're from a magazine. People are still talking about our wedding - and more than one has said it was the most beautiful wedding that they've been to!

Perfect Setting for a Magical Winter Wedding Reception!

Our daughter's winter wedding reception at Danada House couldn't have been more beautiful! The newly remodeled spaces are gorgeous and thoughtful and our guests raved about how stunning the historic home was. Everything flowed smoothly from the cocktail hour in the main house to the reception dinner in the Atrium. It felt cozy on a cold winter's night, but not crowded. Danada's staff are professional, friendly and accommodating and made the whole planning process so easy! Their list of vendors was fantastic, too, and everyone works together so smoothly to ensure a stress-free event. HIGHLY recommend!

We loved using Danada House as our reception site for our 7/7/18 wedding! Danada House is really one of the premier wedding sites in the Chicagoland area. The grounds surrounding the home were beautiful, full of flowers and trees. The house itself is gorgeous and so charming. We have so many beautiful pictures on the front patio and around the home!! The house is also set up perfectly for a wedding - we used the smaller rooms of the house for our cocktail hour, and the large atrium for dinner and dancing. I've always wanted an outdoor wedding, but was too afraid to plan a totally outdoor wedding with weather concerns, but Danada was the perfect balance! Our guests could mingle both inside and outside, and the glass atrium almost made it feel like we were outside! The lights hanging from the ceiling also made dancing feel like we were dancing under the stars. Our guests raved about Danada, and couldn't believe they didn't know about it for their own weddings! Two pieces of advice - this place books up fast! We reserved the home almost 2 years before our wedding (we didn't need a deposit until 18mo prior). Also - there isn't a lot of guidance on how to plan your wedding at Danada House unless you reach out to the Danada House staff first. Any time we did reach out, however, staff were super helpful! If you're looking for a preferred caterer - we can't say enough wonderful things about Maries!!

Thus venue needs nothing else to be perfect, it is great just the way it is. Having both a house for entertaining and an atrium to see all the beautiful landscape makes this place one unforgettable venue. The director Jill is also very responsive and answered all my questions. I would never have thought this place was in my price range but it was very affordable!

We just got married at the Danada House on Sunday, September 25,2016. It was so beautiful, better than I ever imagined. The Danada House books up quickly, was one of the reasons we chose a Sunday wedding. We had our ceremony and reception and pictures there. We were totally fine with this and payed a little more to be able to have the House the whole day. It was so nice not to rush and enjoy the day. I was concerned because I did not a have day of coordinator but the girls at the Danada house stepped in and did this for us! Thank you! They were very responsive and very easy to work with.

This was an amazing venue! We had the most beautiful ceremony and reception.
The best part was our wedding was planned to be outside, and it ended up being 30 degrees and raining. Danada House worked hard to make sure that our wedding was still our dream wedding, even though we had to make changes.
A big thanks to Danada House and I will recommend this location to anyone looking for a unique venue in the area

Jill at Danada house was unbelievable! She bent over backwards for me and accommodated me since I was an out of town bride (Seattle) She stayed later than business hours for meetings with us. I had some elaborate tree arch for my wedding ceremony and we weren’t sure how to get them there and set up the day of the wedding, but Danada rose to the occasion and let us bring it in a few days early and pick it up late too. My wedding was the same weekend as Prom. The staff was excellent about keeping the H.S. kids and parents off the property and away from the wedding. I would have never knew they were there except I saw them standing in the parking lot pouting.
The price seems high, but The staff was so amazing and flexible that it made it worth every last penny. If only I had pennies left!
If you are lucky enough to get into the venue, you're in great hands. It books up 15 months in advance. So don’t wait!

The Danada House was/is the most beautiful venue I have ever seen. My husband and I were married in their garden, had our cocktail hour in the mansion, and reception in their atrium. Everyone there was very nice and helpful. I couldn't have asked for a better place for our wedding, we received so many compliments on it! It is in high demand, so book far in advance.

Having my wedding at Danada House was the perfect choice for my husband and I. All of the ladies at Danada were professional and responsive, and they all worked very hard to make our wedding day perfect. The gardens were all redone over this past winter and though it was beautiful when we booked it, it is even more beautiful now! We had so many compliments on the gardens and the Atrium and how pretty it all was! The only negative thing I can think of is that, due to other events, Danada schedules their wedding rehearsals for a week night the week before the wedding, which made it hard for some of our bridal party to attend. But otherwise, I loved having the entire house and grounds to ourselves for the whole day. It was so relaxing to have everything at the same place-we didn't have to worry about traffic or making different appointments or anything like that. I think our guests also enjoyed not having to drive to two different locations. I would recommend Danada House for any event, but particularly weddings. It was absolutely perfect!

The only I was not so pleased with was that as a whole, Danada is not very flexible to work with, but this really did not effect the wedding in any way- it turned out absolutely beautifully!

We booked Danada House (Dan-AE-da) about 16mo out from our wedding date by a struck of luck off a wait list, and after having our wedding there I could surely understand why there is a waitlist. The venue is a flat fee service with a per chair pricing for ceremonies clearly stated in black & white on there website. They have a preferred pre-certified caterer list that is convenient. We used La Cuisine, and I would highly recommend them. We had an outdoor ceremony in the beautifully outdoor ceremony site just off the sunrooms where the cocktail hour is held. The reception was in the well maintained atrium space with wall to wall glass outlooking the landscape with access to the outdoor deck with a decorative pool.

Some highlights include the beautiful landscaping. Because we had originally visited in the winter, we had not seen all the wonderful landscaping that the Danada staff manage in the warmer months. It gave us great areas to take pictures and made the venue picturesque for our ceremony. The price is also reasonable for the surrounding area. Although other venues offer full included catering and what not, I felt this venue offered more in space and beauty at a better price.

To note, I felt that calling was always best to get a hold of them. I tried emails before and often found better response times with just calling. That being said, I found most wedding services are unreachable on fri, sat, sun as they are busy with other weddings. My tip would be just be prepared to leave voicemails to be replied the follow weekdays or just call during the weekdays.

Additionally, as this location in a component of Dupage County and not a private, for-profit venue they follow the forest preserve rules on open fires and littering. They have clear instructions on whats allowed and not, and you should expect no exceptions. All reasonable requirements, not of which we found hindering.

We had an absolutely fabulous wedding at Danada House on 5/23/2015. We only had a 5 month engagement, so by the time we looked at venues Danada House was quite booked. One of their few openings was a Saturday during the day (8AM-4PM), and it turned out absolutely fantastic! We did a super laid back BBQ with yard games open to the dance floor in the atrium and we and our guests absolutely loved it. The venue itself is just gorgeous and we were able to keep things quite affordable, just took some creativity. The only negative thing I can say is that they are not great with checks (ie cashing them in a timely manner). We worked around that by using cashier's checks. If you're keeping an eye on your money while you're planning your wedding, as I believe most people do, just use the cashier's checks and the problem is solved :D

This really is a wonderful place to get married. Both the grounds and the building itself are just so beautiful and full of character. The charm of the building means one really doesn't have to do too much decorating. The grounds have so many beautiful areas to take pictures in you will want to spend all day just taking pictures. At night the atrium lights make you feel as if in a fairy tale as the lights reflect in the window as if thousands of stars in the sky.
The staff that was on sight for the big day was really friendly and super helpful. The entire process with the Danada House was really an easy one, which i was so thankful for. And though some options with outside vendors might seem limiting they make it easier with their preferred vendor list.
Overall, my experience with the Danada House was a wonderful one and one i will remember for a life time!

We hosted my daughter's ceremony and reception at Danada House last weekend. It was everything she dreamed of! The grounds and ceremony spaces (there were multiple ceremony spaces to choose from) were gorgeous! The cocktail hour was held in the house with seating available in the library and on the front porch. The Atrium was absolutely beautiful with all of the lighting and the floor to ceiling windows exposing the grounds outside. The staff was very helpful and always professional and pleasant to work with. Our guests were very impressed. The Wyndham Hotel was right next door and offered a very favorable group rate with a shuttle service provided to and from the venue. They do encourage you to select a caterer from their preferred vendors and they are all quite pricey, but I would highly recommend Marie's Catering from Willowbrook.

Awesome location! The garden was a perfect venue for a wedding and the house, coupled with the atrium were great rooms for apps and the reception. The staff is kind, flexible, and responsed quick to questions you might have. There are plenty of places for pictures and the grounds are kept well.

We recently had both our ceremony and reception at Danada House and couldn't have been happier with how things went. We had a beautiful ceremony in one of the gardens and used the atrium and house for the reception. Jill and the other ladies are an absolute pleasure to work with (though sometimes a little difficult to get ahold of, but they always get back to you!). They are professionals who have clearly done this many times. It is a little on the pricey side, but I can't imagine a better place to get married. We got countless compliments on how beautiful and unique the venue was. Would recommend to anyone!

Beautiful Venue!

While COVID prevented us from holding our wedding reception at Danada House, I wanted to leave a review about the rest of the process. Jill was super accommodating and answered the million questions I had with the patience of a saint. She let us look around and the House showed its own beauty to us. We planned on holding the cocktail hour in the house and the reception in the atrium while taking pictures on the gorgeous grounds. If you are looking for a reasonably priced venue with all-in-one capabilities that still lets you pick your own caterer, Danada House is for you!! I hope another bride gets to host her dream wedding here because the pictures will be beautiful!

My only setback with this venue is the limited time you have to set up. For instance, to not have to spend another several thousand dollars for a whole day rental, we chose the option to rent from 4pm-12am. Therefore, our family/friends were going to have to set up the reception space from 4pm-6pm while we took pictures. So Cocktail hour would be 6-7 and your reception won’s start until 7pm. If you hire a wedding coordinator or service to help, then it wouldn’t be as much of a problem.

Beautiful Place for a Wedding

After visiting Danada House in January, even though it was covered in snow, my husband and I both knew that this was the place we wanted to get married. We love the atrium and the glass doors and the element of nature. The grounds are beautiful and have so many places to take amazing pictures. I liked the bridal and groom suite upstairs which is also beautiful. I liked the option of having our ceremony was outside and our reception in the atrium.
Before seeing Danada House and looking at other venues many had smaller rooms for smaller weddings that did not look as nice as the larger, more grand rooms. I like that even though we had a smaller guest count we did not have to share Danada House with another wedding or event. Overall it was a great experience and beautiful venue that I highly recommend.

To me, Danada House was the ideal wedding venue. It's a wonderful, romantic setting. I particularly liked having cocktail hour in the house and gardens, then moving into the atrium for dinner.

The venue rental fee was a bit high, but I feel it was definitely worth it!

The first time I stepped into Danada House I knew that is where I wanted our wedding reception held at. The windows that surround the atrium bring out the natural feel of the woods and beautiful grounds. The lighting in the atrium makes it very romantic but modern at night. The facility is very clean and kept up. I have no regrets about Danada House - I can't wait to have our 50th Anniversary Party held there!

I had my wedding ceremony and reception at the Danada House last weekend, and I couldn't have dreamed a better wedding. I was initially apprehensive since we had to have a Sunday wedding. This venue books FAST. There were only Sundays left a year and a half out, but I am so glad we went with the Danada House. The staff was amazing and helped make everything run smoothly. My guests were blown away at how gorgeous the grounds were and raving that this was the best wedding they've been to. It was perfect!

We loved having our event at Danada House, our guest loved how bright, beautiful and comfortable it felt being there and our pictures turned out great. Jill was helpful as was the rest of the staff. This location does book up fast and would suggest being flexible with dates so you can get this place because it is well worth it. Thankfully we were given by the temple a Monday to get married, which worked out great since it allowed us to have our Hindu ceremony (at the temple) in the morning followed by our western wedding that evening at Danada.

The only reason we did not give the location 5/5 was with flexibility. This is only due to all of the restrictions put in place by Friends of Danada with caterers. This made it fairly stressful in trying to coordinate things since we needed to serve both Western and Indian food. Their preferred list of caterers were not all that open to bring someone else on board and when we did find one, we didn't care for their western menu selection. We ended up figuring it out but the issue came up again a week before the wedding. Thankfully everything did go as plan, food was great and the caterers were professional and on point but it did cause some added stress we hadn't planned on. Although this was a catering issue it came about because of the preferred list/restrictions in place. We would still recommend this place without a doubt but would suggest with people in similar situations like us to weight the pro and cons.

I got married at The Danada House and our day could not have been more perfect. We had great weather, great company and a great venue. We received many rave reviews from our guests about Danada House as well as the atrium where the reception was. While the price of the venue is a bit high, it's definitely worth the money.

Danada House was the perfect ceremony and reception site. Everyone I dealt with there was professional and responsive to my inquiries. In fact, Kathy (the onsite manager for my wedding day) was even kind enough to fluff out the train of my dress before I walked down the aisle! The fact that the entire house and grounds are all yours is what makes Danada the perfect choice. It was my wedding day, and I did not have to share it with anyone, as you would in a big reception hall. We had numerous places for pictures and were even given several choices for the ceremony location. People could not help but gush over the place as it was perfectly beautiful and relaxed. I would absolutely recommend Danada without hesitation. While the price wasn't cheap, it was worth every penny for the gorgeous photos and memories.

We used the Danada House for both our ceremony and reception and it was fantastic! We booked the house for the whole day, from 9 am to midnight. So I was able to spend the whole day there getting ready in the bridal suite!!! GORGEOUS! The staff is a little bit hard to get in touch with once in a while, but they were extremely helpful on our big day. We did have rain showers on our wedding day, but were still able to get outside and take pictures on their gorgeous grounds! And, due to the rain, we did have to move our ceremony indoors. The staff was able to handle the change without a problem. They worked extremely well with our caterer. Everything was perfect!

Danada House is absolutely beautiful for that "Outdoor Feel" with their amazing atrium. Along with their horse grounds on Danada Forest Preserves it was an unbelievable setting that I highly suggest anyone looking for a reception ground to check out in the Western Illinois area. Danada was also affordable to rent.

We had our June 23, 2018, wedding (ceremony and reception) at Danada House and it was beyond perfect. I extended our access of the venue by two hours, which I highly recommend (we were able to arrive at 2 p.m. instead of 4 p.m.). The bridal suite is beautiful and spacious, the grounds are breathtaking, and the atrium is unlike anything I've seen before. We knew from the beginning that we did not want our wedding in a banquet hall or hotel; we wanted an outdoorsy venue with a reception area that had windows. If you feel the same way, then Danada House is the place to have your wedding!

We had to pick from a list of their approved vendors but the list was actually helpful in narrowing down the options and the caterer we chose was excellent. The place was beautiful and just the right size. We had our ceremony outdoros and they had a rain contingency that prevented us from having to worry about the weather. The people were helpful and flexible and let us come look at the site as many times as needed with as many people as needed. One thing we could not do was have our rehersal there due to another event but the setup was simple enough to rehearse elsewhere. They also allowed us to bring supplies a day or two ahead of time and store them in a closet to cut down on all the stuff we had to bring the day of. All in all I had a very good experience.

We really enjoyed The Danada House and have received many compliments about the location. We did the ceremony and reception all at the Danada House. It is fairly expensive as you rent the facility and have to hire the caterer from their list of preferred carters or pay extra to use a caterer that is not on the list. We went with Uncle Bub's who is on the list and loved it. The Danada house does have the tables and white garden chairs for the reception. They also use white garden chairs for the ceremony, but you have to pay per chair for set up. This is separate from the rental fee. The lady who gave us the original tour was kind but didn't seem too interested in selling The Danada House since they were basically book all of 2015. We toured in early-mid August of 2014. I was about to give up on this location but decided to ask about any cancelations. I did get notified about a few cancelations and ended up with September 20th. I would have preferred a Saturday, but the Sunday worked perfectly. There was also no event prior to mine so I was able to rent an extra hour at the beginning to get ready. A big complaint would be communication. I was at school in Minnesota and did a lot of communicating over email. I would send an email and it would take days for a response at times. Some times I wouldn't even get a reply until I called then I would get an email back not a call back. It was also confusing since all 3 ladies have access to the email so you never really knew who would be emailing back. The majority of your coordinating will be through your caterer. If they are on the preferred caterer list they are very good at working directly with the staff at the Danada house so you don't have to act as a middle man. The lady who worked the evening of our wedding was great and very helpful. She was not around much, but would help when needed. My husband and I chose this venue because it is stunningly beautiful and located on an equestrian property. It is very well kept, and made for phenomenal pictures. However, we didn't have very much contact with the representatives of the venue itself; we worked mostly through our caterer, who was amazing (True Cuisine, Wood Dale, IL).

When we emailed I was never quite sure who would respond as several people seem to run the same email address. However, everyone was very polite, just not very involved. We also had quite a bit of trouble getting a date early on, as it books fast and they only allow people to actually put a deposit down 18 months in advance. Our date, however was "reserved" by someone who had put their name down before my husband and I were even engaged! We had to adjust to a Friday date that became available to use the venue, though we had originally wanted a Saturday wedding.

It was also a bit pricey for the sole purpose of renting out the space, as we paid for all rentals and food separately. However, ultimately it was worth it to have our perfect venue.

The Danada House is absolutely beautiful and I am so glad that I got married there. I feel like the cost was a bit high for what was being provided. You are not paying for any type of service. You are just paying for the space and chairs. I think that if there isn't going to be any kind of assistance with decorations or set-up, the cost should be lower. Despite the extra work I had to put in to make sure everything was set up perfectly, I am extremely happy on how it turned out. My pictures of the ceremony are beautiful.

My husband and I got married at Danada House recently. The evening was perfect. Everything was set up exactly as we had requested before we arrived. The day-of staff member was lovely and offered to help with anything we needed. Our guests raved about the beauty of the facility and grounds.

The two staffers we were in contact with in the months before the event, however, were not very pleasant.

When we scheduled an initial meeting to discuss renting the facility, they didn't tell us that we weren't the only ones meeting with them. It was more of an open house than a real meeting. We rolled with it and did eventually get some one-on-one time with a staffer. She kept harping on the fact that all Saturdays were booked until 2013. Good to know, of course, but we told her a Sunday would be fine with us after she said it the first time. Again and again, she told us how busy they were and how hard it was to get a reservation. I almost thought she was trying to get rid of us. But we stuck it out and booked our date. After all, it is an incredibly beautiful place, and the price is decent.

As we planned for our event, we had another staff contact. She was pretty crotchety. I think she prefers very traditional weddings and just didn't quite grasp our concept. We also veered off course and picked a caterer that isn't on their preferred list. We agreed to the extra $500 fee (even with that fee, the caterer we chose was cheaper than any of those on Danada's approved list). But this staffer kept harping on the fee to the point that I thought she was going to tell us we weren't allowed to use another caterer after all. She was also very ineffective at email communication, which I consider crucial when contracts and money and important life events are being discussed.

After all was said and done, our wedding turned out to be perfect. I just wish we could have been more confident of that BEFORE the day-of. Knowing what I know now, I would book again.

One of a kind venue

My husband and I got married at the Danada House in September. The venue is beautiful and there are several options where you can choose to be married on the grounds. The inside of the house has a historic mansion feeling, which we loved, but my favorite part of the house was the outdoor patio between the atrium and the house, it's a great spot for a cocktail hour. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars on my review is because of the service. When we initially viewed the venue and met the ladies who represent it, they were very nice and accommodating, they said they've helped with tons of weddings and done things like help brides get ready, make sure the flow of the ceremony goes well, make announcements, etc. However, after booking I felt like I was chasing people for responses, on our rehearsal day no one from the Danada House was present to ask questions to, even when we tried to find them inside, and on the day of our wedding they only came around to make sure that we were clearing the spaces in time for them to setup for the next wedding. While they are not expected to be wedding coordinators, I felt like they could have either been more present or not given a false sense of comfort.

I actually just had the reception here... it is beautiful, though! The wedding coordinator is not the best at getting back to you. However, they did a wonderful job, and everything looked amazing!

This is a beautiful place to have a reception. It is very unique since it has a house attached to an atrium (where I had my reception). The lighting is very '20s style, and together with the big windows, give it a fairytale effect - especially at night (when I had my reception). The only complaint is that the lady in charge of the place does not answer emails.

I had my wedding at the Danada House in October and let me tell you, this place is just gorgeous! I couldn't have asked for a better location. They remodeled everything there and the grounds are just so peaceful and amazing. I would not have changed a single thing about my wedding day but the events leading up to it were a bit stressful. Firstly, they are booked very far in advance. We had to wait almost two years to get in for October. Next, it is very difficult to get a hold of someone there in the office to ask questions or to deal with concerns. I would frequently call and nobody would answer the phone or return my calls when I left messages. Lastly, it is quite pricy. The person in charge told us that we should rent the house the entire day instead of just in the morning which ended up being like $2,000 more. The catering company then told us after we singed the contract that it wasn't necessary and that if you just rent it in the afternoon that they could set up in time and that all would be fine. Overall, I was super happy with how my wedding turned out... I just wish I wasn't inconvenienced so much.
