My name is Eric and I own an entertainment company by the name of Extreme DJ Service. The Dana point yacht Club is a preferred venue that we have had the privilege of working at for many years. If you are looking for a gorgeous view, great food and professional service… look no further, the DPYC is the place. We highly recommend the venue and their staff.

The best decision we made when we booked your wedding venue. From price and the views you can't go anywhere else. Danielle was helpful with planning of wedding giving me great ideas , communicated well . Her staff was also amazing with setup and friends. Your guest were just amazed of views from every patios. Your wedding was just beautiful!! -

We loved working with Danielle at the Dana Point Yacht Club for our wedding this past October! Danielle was always very responsive and very patient, answering our millions of questions leading up to our special day. She was very accommodating and really did everything she could to help bring our vision to life. The facilities are great - beautiful waterfront patios and 180 degrees of water/cliffside views from their oceanfront ballroom. All the SoCal ocean love, without getting sandy! All of our guests were impressed by the plated dinner entrees and we were able to come up with custom "bride and groom" drinks to match our personalities perfectly. Danielle offered to help set up and print out some of our last minute signs, so we didn't have to worry about things coming together. If you are looking for an ocean-front venue in South OC that has a low-key yacht club vibe (and is very reasonable for F&B and venue rental fees) - we would definitely recommend choosing this one! We had our wedding reception at the Dana Point Yacht club on 9/8/18 and it was the perfect day thanks to Danielle, the wedding/event coordinator, and all of their hard-working staff. We started working with Danielle shortly after booking the venue and she was amazing to work with from the start. She always made sure we had everything on track and helped answer our questions anytime we had them throughout the planning process. The venue comes with a lot of included items and vendors, and we were happy with everything and everyone we worked with. We honestly cannot say enough great things about Danielle, she made the planning process easier on us and was so helpful. The Yacht club provides all the food and drinks, and everything was great and ran so smoothly. We had a buffet and had an open bar. The food was delicious and our guests for our wedding of 100 people never had to wait longer than a few minutes for a drink, even after the rush to the bar after the ceremony. The pricing for this venue is reasonable considering everything that was included. If you are on the fence about this venue, I would say that it is absolutely worth a look. The views are beyond beautiful and there many rooms at this venue to have your wedding and or reception .We will always be beyond grateful to Danielle and the entire staff for making our day beyond a dream. -

We booked our wedding reception at the Dana Point Yacht Club and it was absolutely amazing. Not only is the venue gorgeous and the harbor background a unique and stunning view, the head event coordinator, Danielle is absolutely wonderful to work with. From the moment we first looked at the venue online, to emailing Danielle and setting an appointment, to touring the venue, phone calls, emails, the menu tasting, and everything in between, we were blown away. Danielle was fantastic throughout the entire process and we are so happy we chose the Yacht Club for our wedding reception. The day was perfect and it's all thanks to this incredible venue and people who work there. Danielle is easy to work with, timely in her responses and truly provides the best customer service. She answered all of our questions, big or small and accommodated my husband and I with our budget and vision. She made the wedding planning process easy and fun and worked seamlessly with our day-of wedding coordinator too. The Yacht Club really is a hidden gem and you can beat the "all inclusive" package options including; valet, gold chavari chairs, gold charger plates, champagne toast, cake cutting services, and the list goes on! Do yourself a favor and book your event here, you won't be disappointed!! -

Thomas Sent on 10/12/2017I can’t say enough good stuff about Danielle and her staff in the Special Events Department. I was privileged enough to find this venue through WeddingWire and then later, my company ended up working on their facility after an unfortunate water damage. From the moment I stepped onto the Property, I fell in love with the ambiance, location and spectacular views. After the damage was mitigated and all of the Restoration work was complete - that just added to the beauty of this venue.
Danielle and the General Manager, Russell, were gracious enough to accommodate my two children during the meal tasting, they recommended vendors with whom we could meet and eventually hire. She took the time to answer my many questions and had the patience to help me through the planning process.
In the end, our special day will sure to be magical in every sense of the word - and all because of the professionalism and talent that shows in all they do. -

Ceci Sent on 03/25/2015We had our wedding reception here at the venue just 3 weeks ago and it was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! We loved the location as soon as we saw it with the beautiful views of the breakers and sunset for the cocktail hour and the view of the bay for the actual reception. I would highly recommend looking here. Danielle was absolutely amazing she worked with us throughout the whole process to make sure we got the wedding of our dreams and had great ideas from past weddings as well! She is always quick to respond and easy to work with, even on the day of the wedding she was there helping out as much as she could. The service was impeccable and if we had to do it again we would book DPYC! -

Katie Sent on 08/09/2017Danielle is amazing. She is so patient and kind. She let us come in many times to visualize and setup mock tables, practice our dance on the dance floor, bring our DJ to visualize sound setup, and more. The Venue was exactly what I wanted and everything went smoothly. -

Beautiful Venue, great food, AC broke in August they did nothing
Absolutely gorgeous venue! We fell in love with it right away. It is perfect for photos and everything. The food was excellent, way beyond our expectations. These were all the postivies. 5 stars for esthetics and good! Danielle was very responsive and was so helpful until the day of.
The 2 stars come in at the service we received the day of. Our wedding was 5 months ago in August during the hottest most humid week. Supposedly the AC was broken 24 hours before our wedding. The event coordinator was very well aware, but had “hopes” that it would be fixed just in time... action was not immediately taken. As a result we had no AC in the reception with nearly 100 people. The dance floor was empty and guests left hours early. My grandma almost passed out from heat exhaustion. It was absolutely devisitating. The thing as a bride that I looked the most forward to was dancing with our family and friends all night long. We had guests from other countries and from the east coast. It was quite embarrassing and I still feel that way today, (especially after friends were talking about it yesterday...)
I really wished that the event cordonator would have acted and found a solutions at 11am when she first heard that the AC was broke. Spending over 10k and having that experience was a total bummer. Luckily they comped our alcohol and made it right be reimbursing us for the venue rental fees. But just some advice, if anything feels off please DO NOT rely on the event coordinator to take action and make t right. They finally rolled in portable AC units 30 minutes before the reception, which didn’t have an effect at all. I don’t understand why they didn’t do that at 11am!? It was rough considering cocktail hour was outside in the hot 90 degree weather we had that day.
I just wanted to share our experience so nobody else goes through something like this on one of the most special days.
It was so hot guest ended up jumping into the bay outside of the venue 😂 my friend also said it was nice cause it reminded her of being in a 3rd world country on an island. -

Horribly messed up the food
DPYC was the perfect backdrop for our wedding this last Oct, the reason for the two stars is that the day of out wedding their in house catering was completely inadequate and unlike anything we had originally ordered / tasted. They didn’t serve one of the appetizers we ordered and paid for, our chicken dish was very different and low quality from what we had during our tasting (they served boneless chicken breast vs bone-in), and the salmon dish had bacon on it instead of the honey mustard sauce we ordered and tasted. They also never brought out the bread butter that was part of our meal. Several guests also reported that their dietary restrictions (which was sent to the venue ahead of time and noted on their name cards) were ignored. The main reason i’m writing this review is because when i tried to reach out to get an explanation of any kind, i’ve been ignored / ghosted. Over the past months me, my parents, and planner have all tried to reach out to the Lily (the event coordinator) to no avail. After spending tens of thousands of dollars you’d expect a response back. -
