Best DJ Ever

Damien was a dream to work with! He was super fast at responding and nice during our meetings! He was able to make a mix for the father/daughter dance for me in less than 10 mins. Loved working with him, super positive and a great DJ in general. Couldn't recommend him enough!!

Wedding DJ

Damien by far is the best DJ! We have used Damien for all three of our daughters' weddings and each time he has wowed us! He is professional but yet so much fun! He works seamlessly with our wedding coordinators and vendors at each wedding. He always kept us on the timeline seamlessly. His DJ equipment is top notch, and he is also a great MC. The music was great, and everyone got up on the floor to dance. We could go on and on, so many positive things to say about his services. We enjoyed celebrating all three girls with him. I would definitely recommend him for any event not just weddings. Thank you, Damien, for making our events perfect!

Awesome DJ!

Damien was so great to work with. He was an awesome DJ. He coordinated with us before our event and asked for specific songs we wanted to hear. He then did a great job reading the room and if a song didn't get folks out on the dance floor, he changed it up. He had guests dancing for three straight hours!

Excellent, Great Music Selection & Professional

I was the wedding planner for a wedding Damien DJ’d at in October 2022 at the Weymouth Center in Southern Pines. Damien is the most professional DJ I have worked with in the wedding industry. Not only did Damien make a fantastic DJ but he was also a great MC. All of his equipment provided perfect sound for the ceremony and reception. He brought all of the right equipment and had a solution for all of the different challenges the ceremony and reception areas presented. His music selections were appropriate for the audience and had everyone (even the older generations) dancing. He interacted with all of the guests in a very natural, professional and friendly way. He worked seamlessly with the rest of the vendors on site. I would definitely recommend Damien.

Exactly What We Wanted, Highly Recommend!

We are so glad we chose Damien Maass as our wedding videographer! The wedding video was extremely important to me. A lot of companies these days charge a ton and just provide a few minutes of a highlight footage, but I wanted much more than that. Damien provided the perfect package for us, and everything turned out amazing. He spent the entire day with us, from the salon, to getting ready, all the way through the final dance. He came to the rehearsal to scout everything out and meet our planner and officiant. He was professional, knowledgeable, and got all the shots without making anything awkward or taking away from private moments. We asked him for a few extra things, and he was more than happy to provide them. And to top it all off, his turnaround time was incredible. When we returned from our honeymoon, the flash drive was in our mailbox. We extremely pleased with his services from start to finish and would highly recommend him!!

All good things!

There is honestly no bad thing to say about Damien, his team, or the video and DJ services they provide!! We hired them for our wedding in November 2018 and are so so so glad we did. Damien was extremely responsive right from the start, and patiently answered all my questions about both DJ and Videography when we were still in the deciding phase. Once we booked, my now husband and I met him in person and he meticulously went through all of the details he needed to know. He was incredibly professional but had a genuine warmth and easy-going nature that made planning and the day of an absolute breeze.

He worked with us to include all of our "wish list" items for videography at a price within our budget, and he still went above and beyond what we said we wanted. The day of, he and his team captured so many great details while being fun and unobtrusive. All those who have watched our wedding video are blown away at how well it was put together and how perfectly it tells the story. We love showing it to people and getting to re-live the day over and over!

DJ:
As for DJ services, Damien went above and beyond there too! He was the perfect MC, keeping the dance floor popping at all times! We got to dance more than we thought we would because so many people wanted us to join them on the dance floor!

Lastly, Damien was the absolute best vendor we worked with throughout the whole process, not just for his videography and DJ skills, but because of his immense knowledge of the industry in other areas as well. He really wanted our wedding to be a success in every aspect, so he gave us lots of general advice and even let us come to him with questions unrelated to his specific services. He showed us time and again that he genuinely cared, and he delivered in so many ways. We are so grateful we had the opportunity to work with Damien and his team, and we would recommend them to anyone seeking videography or DJ services.

I was slightly skeptical about getting a videographer but my wife really wanted one so I figured it couldn't hurt. Boy did I seriously underestimate the impact of a videographer like Damien! We just got our videos back and it was so much fun going back and reliving the happiest day of our lives. I know everyone probably says that but check out his website if you don't believe me and watch ours. Damien is a class act and was one of our favorite vendors to work with. He was friendly, courteous, and professional, and made us feel as ease while he was shooting. He came with a second shooter as well so no moment was missed! I am certainly glad I have these videos to hang on to forever to watch when we are sitting with our grandkids one day <3 Thanks for everything Damien!

Damien was fantastic! It was very important to us that we had certain songs play (and certain songs NOT play) and have a DJ that could feel the crowd but wouldn't be on the dance floor leading the electric slide.

Damien was amazing, he was very patient with us, and we got so many compliments on the music. Damien is so easy to work with and really takes into account what you are looking for.

Damien was great, start to finish. My husband and I were not very organized about sending him our music on time, and selected our ceremony music at the very last minute. He talked through every necessary detail on the phone with me, and made it all a lot more manageable. He kept the dance floor going all night, and even managed to incorporate a few Egyptian songs we gave him during dinner at the reception. He was just the right balance of keeping the party going without being intrusive. All the mics and equipment worked without a hitch and honestly I cannot say enough good things. I love the professionalism and organization of his website. I would hire him again without hesitation the next time I need a great, professional and fun DJ!

Wow! Someone recommended Damien Maass DJ services for my daughter’s wedding. After my initial phone call with Damien, I knew I made the right choice. He talked me through all the music details - from selecting ceremony songs to requesting favorite songs for the reception. To make this easy, he provides an online music organizer. But the best part is Damien himself! He is a brilliant master of ceremonies and moves the wedding along on schedule. He gets the crowd dancing and keeps them dancing. If you need a wedding DJ – Damien is your guy! Wow – Part 2: Damien also offers wedding video services. Our budget was stretching thin as we planned the wedding, but we decided to add this service and we are SO glad we did! It was the best choice we made. Damien, along with his assistants, captured video of the entire day and evening, starting with the groomsmen preparing in one location and the bridesmaids in another. Damien personally stayed with the bride and then the couple for the first look. Once he was on DJ duty, his assistants took over for the rest of the evening. BUT, Damien then took all that footage and produced the most incredible film. (I am hesitant to call it a video because of the artful images pulled together with music overlay in some parts and actual wedding day audio in other parts as well as alternating close-ups and even pre-wedding interviews with both the bride and groom). He also provided a video of the ceremony in its entirety – also masterfully filmed. We can’t thank Damien enough for his talent in producing such an incredible movie! Trust his talent and book him – you will not regret it!

We had the pleasure of working with Damien for our wedding last month. He was very responsive to emails and accommodating to changes made during planning. Damien was very nice, professional and knowledgeable about lighting and the best spots to shoot at our venue. He offered great advice based on his experience with videography and got along great with everyone in our wedding party as well as our other vendors. We haven't received the actual footage yet, but based on past reviews and work we have seen of his we know our video will be amazing!

The quality of the video is remarkable. It's an absolute treasure to have as a keepsake of the day. Our daughter's venue recommended Damien and his team for DJ services. We had some special circumstances in that the bride and groom live 2700 miles across the country so couldn't be involved in local planning. This was not the least bit of a problem for Damien. I was the local contact but my daughter and son-in-law corresponded with Damien via email for their music needs from pre-ceremony all the way through to the final song of the reception. They are very particular!!

Music is important to our whole family and Damien executed the bride and groom's wishes in a friendly, excellent yet unobtrusive manner. Other than providing great music and keeping the evening running smoothly, you wouldn't have known he was there; I've been at events where the DJ, unfortunately, makes the event more about him/herself as a performer vs. providing music services for the guests to enjoy. Not the case with Damien. The dance floor was full all night and when it was time to go, people wanted more -- the best note to end on.

One unexpected bonus...it turns out that Damien is from the same part of the country as we are. He was familiar with Italian wedding traditions which turned out to be great fun for all three generations present:). We danced the night away, had a truly wonderful time and are so looking forward to the videography film to come. Will review that component separately. The day of, videography was professionally and unobtrusively conducted. Expect the film will have captured the magic of the day beautifully. Can't wait:).

Damien Maass was the absolute perfect wedding videographer! He was incredibly kind, thoughtful, and helpful throughout the planning process, as well as on the wedding day. He captured every moment of our wedding day perfectly! He helped in the creation of the photo "day of" timeline, and was able to help us pull off our first look with enough time to get ready for the ceremony. Damien was always there when I needed him for a question or concern, and was so friendly and willing to help any way he could. On the wedding day, he got all the shots done that we discussed. Overall, Damien is incredibly professional, thorough, and knows exactly what to do to make sure your wedding video will be something you can't take your eyes off of! Damien was simply stellar! He was so enthusiastic, positive, and professional throughout the whole process. He helped us pick the right package that was best for us, made sure we were comfortable with his approach before the wedding day, and was by far the kindest and most flexible of our vendors.

He even made his way up to Charlottesville before the event (on his own dime) to make sure he got the lighting right our chapel for the ceremony. During the day, he was so cool and collected; respectful of our photographer, and very flexible when I wanted to film at different times or wanted to change things around.

He also got some amazing shots from his drone, I was a bit apprehensive about it (having never heard of a drone for a videographer) but it was absolutely the best choice to trust Damien with our videography. He often got some better shots than the photographer!!

He turned our highlight video and full length video around so quickly, and even made updates to the highlights when we wanted to include different features. He let us pick the songs, which was something so important to us.

If you want a videographer that actually listens to his clients (instead of only focusing on his own "vision"), shoots in high quality, and is generally an all around great professional, then choose Damien!

We recently used Damien Maass as the DJ for our wedding ceremony and reception and cannot say enough wonderful things about him. From the very first meeting we had with Damien we knew he was the perfect DJ for us. He took the time to get to know us as a couple and explain more about himself and his services. He worked with us every step of the way and was always prompt in answering emails and our many questions. His planning tools made it easy to organize our wedding and choose the songs we wanted. When it came time for our final meeting, he was able to help us fill in the gaps and make song suggestions based on his skills. He was a huge hit at the reception, keeping it moving and fun! Damien puts the couple first, making it clear that he wants people to come away from a wedding talking about how much fun it was rather than how awesome the DJ was. He also has a great website that allows you to find the songs you want. He was easy to work with, and he had great ideas. Damien was always on top of every detail that we need to plan ahead of time. Damien is an amazing DJ! He has a fantastic website that allowed us to plan our evening and our music. His website provided most popular songs for garter toss, recessional song, father/daughter dance, etc. which was so helpful! Anytime I emailed Damien, he called me or responded via email within a few hours. Our wedding ceremony and reception music were perfect. We of course gave Damien "must play" songs but he also played songs that were similar to our tastes, which was great. One of the things Damien said to us in our first meeting stuck with me, "this is your big day, I'm just here to narrate it". I would highly recommend Damien to any couple planning a wedding! He will keep your party going! :) His prices are very comparable to other DJs in the area, and his service was fantastic!

We chose Damien Maass to DJ our wedding based on an excellent recommendation from our venue and he did not disappoint! From our initial meeting all the way to the wedding day, Damien was upbeat, friendly, and very helpful. He listened to what we wanted and helped us select the remaining music based on our styles. Certain songs we chose, but others we left up to him trusting his DJ skills. He made sure he knew every detail in order to give us what we wanted, and the day was perfect! Damien was our DJ for our 12/13/14 wedding at City Club Raleigh; he did an absolutely amazing job and is highly recommended as a wedding DJ if you are in the NC area!! He was extremely professional throughout the entire planning process. We never had to follow-up with him, he always followed up with us, and he really took the worry out of it. With so many vendors to deal with when planning a wedding it is a HUGE help to have someone who is experienced, knows what they are doing and puts your heart at ease knowing it will all be taken care of. Damien even went to the venue on his own a couple weeks before our wedding just to check it out, without us even requesting him to do so. On the day of, he really took charge and it was clear he wanted our wedding to be a success as much as we did! We had many of our guests come up to us after and say it was the best wedding they had been to in a long time. With most of the fun happening on the dance floor, we owe a huge thank you and shout out to Damien for being such a vital part of our wedding and making it the most magical day of our lives!!!

Working with Damien was incredible! He had every single thing under control. He was extremely professional but also down to earth and easy to talk to. He was affordable and the quality of his work was second to none. My sister-in-law just got engaged and we are relieved to know that this is one avenue that she won't have to stress about. Initially, I wasn't sure if I wanted to invest in a wedding video, but in the social medial world that we live in, we opted to go for it. It was one of our best wedding decisions. It was truly a pleasure to work with Damian and his team. Prior to the wedding, he was more than willing to collaborate with me to ensure the timeline we generated for the couple would capture all the required videography per his contract. On the day of the wedding, he showed up early and dressed professionally!

Damian is very easy going and fun! It's always great when a wedding pro has a great attitude. This sets the tone for the couple and let's them know that everything is under control. Damien provided DJ services for our September wedding. He was very responsive by email and met with us to go over the details of our day-of schedule. His website was excellent. He was on-time and ready for anything for our outdoor event including bringing extra cords and speakers to cover the ceremony in one location and the reception in another - just-in-case they were needed. We had about 25 kids ranging in age from 6-18 and he kept them on the dance floor as soon as they were done with dinner (much earlier than the adults were!). We appreciated his range of music and keeping all the moving parts of the reception relaxed, but on-time. A plus for us was that we felt really comfortable with him and felt that he understood the type of atmosphere were were trying to create.

Damien was awesome and my new wife and I were so happy that we selected him as our wedding DJ! He was extremely friendly, easy to work with, and very responsive to all of our emails and questions. He also made great suggestions when we spoke with him on the phone during our planning session, and was also very flexible with us (we made some changes to our preferred songs a couple days before the wedding, he incorporated requests into the song queue, etc.).

Most importantly, he kept the party going all night! Our dance floor was packed until the last song of the evening, and guests were even spilling into the hallways and dining area to dance. He accommodated all of our requests, did a great job improvising, and kept our reception moving along right on schedule. He played a perfect mix of both classic and new songs that kept everyone on the floor. We had several friends and family members of all ages tell us that the great music helped make it the most fun reception they've ever attended, and even requested our "playlist." This energy carried over into a great "after party" after our guests left the reception venue.

I would absolutely recommend Damien to anyone seeking a DJ in the Raleigh-Durham area!

Damien met with bride, groom and me, bride's mom, a couple weeks before the wedding in the reception hall to get an idea about sound needs there. It was nice to have that personal touch; most necessary info can be conveyed through his web site and changed as needed up until just a few days before the wedding. When our timing got off, as it often does, Damien picked the best during the reception. He makes a fantastic mc as well, keeping the reception flowing. I had also planned a surprise musical toast for the bride and groom; Damien was very accessible by cell phone and explained what he could provide for us and what he needed from us; Damien helped us and our musical co-conspirators keep the secret; connect our keyboard into his sound system; make room in the playlist for the extemporaneous music; and just generally support us in every way even though this was not finalized until the afternoon of the wedding! Damien is obviously very knowledgeable about all genres of music and has access to any music you could possibly imagine. He is a great people person; works well with the happy couple, their families and friends; is happy to take requests from the audience if it doesn't interfere with the couple's wishes; and directs the evening according to previously made wishes of bride and groom. He is also responsive to wishes about sound level. He played quiet, romantic jazz during the meal so folks could talk; gradually, as the bride and groom wanted,picking up the pace and volume of the music so it was definitely enjoyable party and dance time for all the young people. Damien obviously enjoys his job; interacting with the happy couple and their friends and family throughout the evening, which just adds to the romantic and happy atmosphere. We can't say enough good things about him and the quality of his music, his website and himself. If we have another opportunity to need a dj, he will be our first and only choice!!

My advice to any couple getting married: HIRE THIS MAN!!! He's an AMAZING DJ & Videographer! Damien clicked with us right away and he was very professional and very organized so I knew I didn't have to worry about a thing during the wedding because he had it all under control! He had an easy (and fun!) online planning tool that helped us choose music for our wedding, and his consultation was priceless; he saved us a fortune with his great advice about how our ceremony could flow, and he was so accommodating to all our special requests. And during the ceremony & reception, his ease at managing a crowd kept our guests happy, and kept us on time and in budget by avoiding overage charges with our other vendors. He's an amazing DJ and even got guests to dance who NEVER dance! We all had a great time!

And after seeing one of his wedding videos online, we knew we had to hire him as our videographer! It was the best money we spent on our wedding and we'll have it to cherish for the rest of our lives! We were astonished at the quality of his video -- it's like a movie! But even better than that was that Damien really got "us" and was able to tell our story and capture the vibe and love we all felt on our wedding day. It was so moving, it made my husband and I cry and fall even more in love when we saw it and we played it on a loop for days.

Damien made us feel so special throughout our entire wedding planning process and really went above and beyond on our wedding day, but that's just how he is. I highly recommend Damien and his team! We can't thank them enough!

Damien was fantastic! From the very beginning, he made a point to respond to all emails/phone calls immediately - which made the whole planning process so much less stressful. Damien is friendly and professional and has lots of experience with just about any situation. He gave us some great song suggestions for the reception, and definitely kept the dance floor packed all night. He was really good at reading the room and keeping everything moving throughout the night (without making himself the center of attention). I had so many of my guests specifically come up to me to tell me how great they thought he was!

We are so happy we hired Damien and definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a fantastic DJ!

Damien was a class act. He did a fantastic job as the MC and keeping everyone on the dance floor. If you're looking for someone who is going to seek to create the best experience for you and your guests, then Damien is your guy. When we were shopping around for a DJ for our wedding, there was something different about Damien that separated him from all the rest. He was truly interested in making our experience amazing. If you're looking for a guy who can do it all, look no further! Damien is PHENOMENAL!

Our wedding was this past June 28th, and without Damien, it would not have gone nearly as smoothly. Being in the wedding business myself, I know how difficult it can be to not only choose vendors, but to then get them all on the same page. Damien makes all of that very simple. He even puts together a timeline for not only the day of, but he helps with anything you need musically before that! He is very quick to respond to any question you have for him and always has a very calming demeanor.

I will admit, I may not have been the most organized bride, but Damien always has his notes and kept me very organized!

The days leading up to the wedding were very hectic and it just felt like there were not enough hours in the day to get everything done (I'm sure most brides end up saying that at some point.) The one major relief was that I didn't have to worry about how the day would run, because I knew Damien had that under control. Even after a few snaffoos with our wedding coordinator, everything ran perfectly with Damien leading the vendor train!

So Damien did a great great job DJing our wedding. I had made some special requests for the wedding day that I wasn't sure if he would be able to implement (recording the audio of our vows and the toasts as well as providing music on multiple floors of the house we got married in), but he had the equipment and the know-how to handle it all. During the planning and the wedding day, we felt completely at ease and knew everything was in good hands. Also, he really did a great job keeping the wedding day focused on the wedding! Sometimes I go to weddings and the DJs sort of try to make a big show of everything and take the focus off the couple. Damien is not at all like that! Everyone at our wedding was so happy with the reception and very pleased with how the whole evening went. But what made Damien so great to work with was his professionalism through the planning process. My wife and I had to plan the wedding remotely, but Damien made it EXTREMELY easy to do so. He was BY FAR the most responsive vendor that we worked with. Many times we had questions along the way, and he literally got back to us within minutes making it so easy to get through our planning. It was a real pleasure to have him DJ our wedding, and I would not hesitate one moment to recommend him.

We wanted someone who would not try to be the center of the show or too loud and obnoxious. Damien was fantastic to work with. He was very responsive and on time to any questions or exchanges. On the day of, he did a great job of keeping our guests out of their seats and on the dance floor. We gave him 15-20 songs as suggestions for our style, and he added similiar ones in based on his expertise and reading the crowd. If you want someone who is so nice, professional, and will leave you satisfied with out all of the flashy-in-your-face annoying get up, he's the one for you!

Damien is as good as they come for your DJ AND videographer. You can tell that he has years of experience with the way he handled everything. His online wedding tool helps alot but he also meets with you to go over everything in person while making some suggestions you may not have thought of. I've been to a wedding he performed in the past and everything was so smooth and alive that I knew right then he was my man for when we had our main event. I didn't even know that he did videos until I saw my friend's that he put together. He and his assistant were awesome at capturing the right moments and his editing skills are out of this world. Also, even on the wedding day nothing has to be set in stone, as we changed our minds about a parent dance on the wedding day and it was no problem. It was so nice to have a DJ who really helped make the wedding day all about us! Everything went perfectly and Damien kept the mood fun and got people up and dancing. Everyone had a wonderful time. We could not be more enthusiastic to recommend Damien as a DJ for your special day.
As a videographer Damien was similarly excellent. He had an extra cameraman for work at the Chapel and because Damien was DJing the reception, his extra crew member then filmed the reception. Being followed around by cameras takes a little getting used to, but everyone was professional, nice, and unobtrusive. Rather than a complete video documentary of the wedding day, he put together a 20 minute "highlights" video which was perfect. It was really fun to sit down and re-live the wedding day a little and the length and tempo of the video means we will likely watch it more than just a few times.
We could not have asked for a better Wedding Day and much of that is due to the people who brought everything together. Damien did a fantastic job and we would highly recommend him for both DJ and Videography services.

We loved working with DJ Damien Maass. We planned our wedding from across the country and didn't meet him until the day of our wedding, but he was extremely accommodating, friendly, and professional throughout the planning process and our wedding day. He brought up questions about details we had forgotten and helped make sure our ceremony and reception went smoothly. On top of that, he facilitated an amazing reception without being cheesy or overbearing like other DJs I've seen. AND he made a wonderful wedding DVD for us that we will treasure forever. Damien's website offers an extensive list of songs and handy song list tools, ensuring that all of our favorite songs were played. Damien Maass really helped make our wedding day perfect!

Working in the radio industry I have high a standard for DJ's and Damien hands down surpassed them.
From the early planing 7 months before our wedding to even after the wedding Damien was always there for us. The dance floor was packed the entire night and he did a fantastic job playing the songs that everyone wanted to hear. He did two video's for us and the quality of his work is 2nd to none.

Damien did an amazing job for our wedding reception and I would absolutely recommend him to others. He was flexible and easy to work with. Due to the busy schedules of me and my fiance, we only ever talked with him by email and phone but he accommodated that and made it simple, and was very understanding of some rather last minute decisions we made on our music! His online site is really easy and helpful as well, you can preview a really big selection of music and make lists of songs for him to play or not play, which he definitely adhered to. I had fun dancing to the songs he played, he kept a good mix and kept people on the dance floor. I also really appreciated how he was pretty low-key and unobtrusive, which was the style we wanted. He made announcements as needed but he did not at any time act like he was the main attraction -- he just used the music to keep the party going instead of talking non-stop, like some events I've been to. Overall, great experience and would work with him again if I happened to need a DJ!

The adults enjoyed the party as much as the kids did, and we have Damien to thank for that! We forgot our notes, but Damien had them with the list of music we'd sent. We didn't ask the hotel for some supplies, but Damien had them. The lighting added that extra 'something,' and the helpers were lovely without ever taking center-stage. WOW. What a terrific decision we made by hiring Damien to DJ our wedding. From the very first moment I spoke with him, he was supremely professional and an absolute joy to collaborate with. Because of his hard work, I was able to relax and actually enjoy my event---he took care of everything! The flow of the evening was perfect because of him.

Our guests danced literally the entire night. Damien was completely willing to work with our tastes and customize our music so that our favorites played and so that our least favorites (cough cough...YMCA, Chicken Dance, Cha Cha Slide....) didn't come near our special day.

We had the pleasure of working with Damien not only as our DJ but he also created a beautiful wedding DVD for us. He was professional, has years of experience and did exactly what I wanted. I wanted a fun wedding with a lot of dancing and he got everyone on the dance floor all night! Damien also provided his videography services. The video was amazing and truly captured our special day. I would highly recommend Damien for both services. We were extremely pleased and he truly made our day so much more special. Damien was by far one of our best wedding vendors we used! Thanks again for everything!

Damien was great to work with and very lay back but very professional. He really tried to take some of the stress off me but when you have to plan your wedding yourself there is always some stress. I just wish I would have more guests stay longer to party more but unfortunately we had a very small, intimate wedding and the reception didn’t last as long as I would have liked. At some point I turned around and almost everybody had left. There is very little a DJ can do when there is nobody left around to dance. My children and my immediate family made up for that and we still had a great time dancing by ourselves on the dance floor and Damien was very accommodating and asked us several times if there were any songs we wanted to hear. We even got to dance our first dance again that night since we had the room pretty much to ourselves. I would really recommend Damien to anybody looking for a DJ. Next time we have another function (maybe our anniversary) we would hire Damien again to get the party started. 

Damien is a CLASS act!. Not only is he a great DJ, but also a great videographer. IMHO, a great DJ, understands his audience, plays great songs, has a great personality and gets along with the people in the crowd, takes requests, and does it unobtrusively. AND, if they happen to just be taking videos too, well even more kudo's.

Damien is all of that. As the father of the Groom, I can tell you he was great. When we saw his video - less than 48 hours after the wedding - we were speechless. He did such a great job. Even let me sing 'Paradise By The Dashboard Lights' during the dinner, which got all of us going even more.

Damien may be in NC, but when we have our 'next' family event (out of state), i think we'll call Damien! For those of you in NC - GRAB HIM, becuase your party will hopefully be as great as ours was. Thanks again Damien!!!!

Our wedding would have not being the same without Damien. My wife and I planned our wedding we met with Damien a few months before the event when we thought were getting just a DJ to complement our band. He was so much more. He is extremely professional and makes sure that the entire event goes smoothly. He sat with us and offered us guidance and helped coordinate events during our reception. He went beyond the call of duty, he even made a video of a synopsis of our wedding day without being asked. He was what we were missing and our day would not have been the same without him. I will definitively contact him again for any other events in the future, he is truly great to work with.

Damien went above and beyond his job from beginning to end. Damien was able to adapt to our changing wedding plans flawlessly; we changed up the ceremony location twice on him. He provided ceremony music for us and did a perfect job with make sure everyone could hear our music and our officiant without overwhelming the natural setting.
Then came the reception...We had an absolute blast!! Everyone young and old came out onto the dance floor. People whom I have never seen dance at a wedding were out getting their groove on. He responded to the cues of the crowd to make the party happen. He did an amazing job with the MC duties. He even played an encore song after our last dance, that was the perfect way to end the evening! The best surprise was that the very next day, he sent us a video of the highlights from our wedding. We had many people who could not join us, and the video perfectly captures the spirit of the entire event.
I would highly recommend this DJ for any special occasion that requires DJ or video services!

Not a typical corporate event, the Yorktown Grange Fair is a 3-day celebration held annually in Yorktown Heights, NY. Damien has been our master of ceremonies for many years. Damien, DJ'd our daughters wedding at Prestonwood Country Club in Cary, in August.
Fantastic! Fantastic!
From working with us beforehand, on the ceremonial music selections and provision and set up of addition microphones etc, through to the dinner and party.
Damien got the party started straight off, and kept the dance floor full for the whole night.

Damien Maass served as our DJ for our vineyard wedding this past May, and he really could not have been more helpful throughout the entire process. He is extremely easy to work with, listened to what was important to us, worked around our budget, and was always available to answer questions. Everything about his services went above and beyond what we expected. The best part is that we had a full dance floor the entire night!! Proof that he knows how to get a crowd going and having fun throughout the evening.

Damien was my DJ this past weekend in Raleigh for my wedding. He was absolutely outstanding! Damien was by far the best vendor that I had for my wedding. I would send questions through email or phone calls, and I'd get a response back within an hour each time. He met with my fiance and I before the wedding to meet us and get a feel for who we were - by the end of the night we had laughed hysterically and knew we were completely all set for the wedding. Damien was willing to be flexible and do whatever made us happy. Actually, they were calling for torrential tornadoes on the day of my wedding, and the wedding and reception were set to by outside by the lake. I told Damien I'd love to keep it outside, and he said "I LOVE IT!" and was completely game to keep it outside. He looked out for our best interests. He has an absolute passion for what he does, and it shows in the quality of his work. He has a website with awesome online tools that you can start planning with, and he sticks to the plan. He is NOT the typical cheesy DJ who announces awkward things at awkward times - he sticks to the plan. He got people dancing, and he kept the flow of music very smooth. He showed up early, and he was as professional as could be. Furthermore - you WILL NOT find a DJ the area for the price he offers with such EXCEPTIONAL quality. I searched over 10 DJ's and he had the best price by far - and his work was more than worth the price. Damien will not disappoint you - he is exceptional!

Damien was AMAZING. He is so kindhearted, punctual, flexible and fun to work with. He always had people on the dance floor and made the appropriate announcements when the time was right. I loved the planner he has on his website where you are able to pick your own music and set certain times for different activities throughout the night. As far as his videographer skills? Excellent. He even had the video to us in less than a week..which made me and several other people cry all over again-wow! Thanks, Damien!

My husband and I are sooo happy that we chose Damien to DJ at our wedding! From the very beginning, I found Damien to be very professional, yet personable, and always quick to respond to phone calls and emails. I knew we had made the right choice from the moment we hired him for our wedding which was confirmed on our wedding day! Damien did an amazing job at our wedding! All of our guests complimented the music selection and everyone had a blast! We could not have asked for a better experience! He not only was in charge of the music for both the ceremony and the reception but he also helped us with the overall flow of both and really went above and beyond in all of his undertakings. Damien was recommended to me and my husband by a mutual friend. My husband and I were married on May 2, 2010 and chose Damien as our DJ....he was more amazing!!! He met with us prior to the event and went over every single detail so that we didn't have to worry about anything on our special day...and that is exactly what happened....we had nothing to worry about on our wedding day...he had everything planned our just perfect. He helped get people up and dancing b/c we had a slow bunch at first....but he kept encouraging everyone to get up and dance and have fun. He also excepted quite a few requests for all types of music which helped with everyone getting involved on the dance floor. Damien is well organized and a pleasure to work with...he has a very nice family also. We were very happy to have him join us on such a special day. We will forever be grateful. In the future, should we have a family gathering....we will be calling him for the entertainment. I HIGHLY recommend Damien as your DJ...he is the man for the job!

Damien was the DJ at my wedding recently, and he did an exceptional job. He attended to every detail, and even helped to diffuse a potentially embarrassing situation between two guests. I especially love the act that the DJ I met with during the planning process, and the DJ who provided the service were the same person, unlike many companies who sub out work to random DJs. I will be calling Damien again for every other occasion!

Everyone loved our DJ Damien! I cannot say enough good things about our DJ Damien. We live in San Diego and had our wedding in Cary, NC. From the minute we met Damian we knew he would be perfect. My whole family loved him. He has a great personality and is very talented. He made our wedding so much fun. I am so happy that we had Damien as part of our wedding, I cannot imagine anyone else. Damien was a pleasure to work with. The price was right and he did a phenomenal job. He threw in the ceremony music with the DJ package, brought his own lights, took requests and even created a 5 minute hightlights video (which was not included and had not even been discussed). Exceptional! Damien was so easy to deal with. Communication was never a hassle, as he always got back in touch with me the same day.
During our wedding, I was worried about a million different things, including photography and DJ, but I never once had a single worry about the videography. They were where they needed to be when they needed to be there and they never interfered with any other vendor. The video was perfect and we received it before we had even gotten back from our honeymoon! I've worked with multiple professional vendors and such a quick turnaround is almost unheard of (especially such an awesome and professional end product!).
Highly recommended! If he is available for your big day, I would jump on the opportunity to have him capture it!

Damien did a fantastic job for our wedding reception. He was professional every step of the way, and he knows the business, so he was able to provide feedback and suggestions when I needed them. He listened to what we wanted, and he made it happen. I had several guests comment on how great the DJ was--he played great music, and kept the dance floor full! Damien is such a nice and easy person to work with. He did a great job of capturing our special day. Damien is super friendly and interacted well with my photographer. He's also very professional. He offered my husband and I the option of purchasing the raw footage from our wedding. It's expensive to get a videographer, but I think its worth while and Damien is a good person to go with.

We had a blast dancing at my wedding!! A ton of people were out on the floor busting a move! Damien is a great value for the price.

I went to another wedding this weekend, and I have to say that Damien was 100x better than their DJ - no excessive talking, good mixing between songs, and a big smile and presence on the mic. He kept the party going, and even had my father-in-law out on the floor, rapping. Hilarious.

It was hard to hear the toasts, and I wish he had fixed that after the first toast proved difficult to hear. I will grant, though, that we had a very challenging acoustic venue. The music sound quality was great, however!

I would highly recommend Damien to future brides.
