Hair and Makeup for Event

I went to a black tie wedding and my friend and I wanted to get our hair and makeup done at the hotel before the wedding. We had a blast and we both absolutely loved our hair and makeup. We showed JJ pictures of what we wanted our makeup to look like and it looked even better. We were so happy with our experience I will for sure call JJ before my next event.

JJ with Dallas Hair and Makeup is fantastic! I learned about JJ's wedding services after starting to go to Muse The Salon for regular hair cuts. I had also seen JJ's work through mutual acquaintances which made the decision to book a no brainer. JJ was willing to travel, showed up to the venue early, and laughed at all our jokes in the bridal suite. I wanted the day to be like any other day and JJ really complimented that. She's super chill, a great listener, offers small suggestions, and doesn't get in the way of your overall vision. A true professional - you can't go wrong with JJ! Thank you again for making our day so special :)

JJ was incredible! She knew exactly what I wanted with my look and gave excellent advice on whether to wear my hair up or down for the wedding. She was a joy to be around and helped me relax for my bridal portraits and wedding day. I would recommend her time and time again.I am so happy that she did such a wonderful job with my hair and makeup and I'll have those pictures forever!! Her sweet assistant was also knowledgeable and fun. My friends and family were extremely impressed by the flexibility and professionalism and the fun they had chatting with them. Definitely use Dallas Hair & Makeup for your wedding - you won't regret it!

J.J. is absolutely the best in the business! The best advice I received in looking for a hair/makeup stylist was to hire someone who specializes in WEDDING hair and makeup. It is a totally different game when you need to look good in photos/video and need your look to last for 8 hours. J.J. totally knows what she is doing and made me look better than I have ever looked. I even kept my eye makeup on for the next day, the first day of our honeymoon! That's how awesome her makeup is. She is so easy-going and relaxed, it really helps keep you chill and stress-free during a time when a lot of brides are freaking out. She even gave my maid-of-honor a little pep talk when she was feeling self-conscious about how her dress was fitting :) All my girls and I looked and felt absolutely beautiful, all thanks to J.J.!

JJ was awesome! My bridesmaid, MOH, and I were very pleased with how the hair and makeup turned out. I let my bridesmaids pick their own hairstyle and makeup style, and they turned out so good, really reflected their personalities, and best of all, they were all happy. :D

I used Dallas Hair and Makeup for my engagement photos, boudoir photos and wedding day and I couldn't say enough good things about my experience and the talent of this top notch crew. I have known JJ for many years and knew she has some of the best talent in Dallas and that I could count on her to deliver. And they did! Kate did my wedding day hair and makeup and I loved it (I'm super picky about my hair and makeup)!! I also got so many compliments the day of my wedding on my makeup and hair which is always a bonus. I looked like myself but more beautiful - I think what most brides wish for. If you're on the fence, get off it and know you are in great hands with this team of top talented women!

JJ was absolutely awesome to work with on our wedding day!! I couldn't have been more pleased or felt more beautiful with my hair and makeup and my sisters felt the same way. It was so nice to have her come to our venue and not have to travel to a salon. She is amazing at what she does and I am grateful she was available to travel to Austin for us... it was the best experience and I would recommend her to any bride!

JJ- lead stylist- is amazing. She is a lovely person and did an amazing job on myself and all of my girls, hair and makeup. (I am very picky) I highly recommend her for your upcoming wedding. She is extremely professional and you can count on her to be on time and do everything she is asked of.

JJ is AMAZING!! I booked her to do my hair and make-up along with my mom and bridemaids. The morning of the wedding she came to the hotel we were staying at and did everything there. She made it so easy for everyone! I absolutely loved the work she did on all of my girls and myself. She made me look and feel so beautiful on my wedding day and I could not have asked for someone better to do my hair and makeup. Also, I have to say, my mom is not someone who likes to get her hair done (or make-up because she doesn't trust anyone else to do it right), but I was insistent that she let someone else take care of her on my wedding day. After JJ did her hair and make-up, my mom looked absolutely stunning and she was so happy with the way she looked. I am so incredibly happy that I had her to make me beautiful on my wedding day!!

JJ was amazing! She's very relaxed, laid back, and knows exactly what to do with your hair and makeup to make you look gorgeous on your wedding day! Her price to come and do hair and makeup at the wedding venue was also cheaper than anyone else I researched which really helped the craziness of the wedding day activities and allowed me to relax more. JJ is sweet and genuinely excited for you and you can feel super confident that she will provide the absolute BEST service!

JJ and her team were incredibly professional and so fun to be around. My bridesmaids and I looked picture perfect on my wedding day. Everyone loved the false eyelashes and the flexibility to have either airbrush or powder/liquid makeup. We all felt like pampered celebrities for the day. On top of all of that awesome, JJ was extremely calm and kept the mood light, which helps a ton as the big day itself can be incredibly stressful.

JJ was someone I liked from the very beginning for her direct professionalism. I love because after years of people in this field making false promises about their ability or what I look like in something, I could not bet my wedding day on someone that wouldn't make me look MY best! Not a standard, what every woman looks ok in kind of hair and make up design, but what I was going to look best in on my big day.
She traveled almost three hours with Caroline (make up) to accommodate the wedding. Not only did she show up early so we didn't feel rushed or panicked, but she was kind enough to accommodate my crazy last minute time schedules that I sent her via email all week before the wedding with grace and patience.
She gave me exactly what I asked for in an elegant, classic, FULL OF VOLUME updo that was to go under my birdcage veil. After styling the hair, she fitting the veil and place a huge garden rose in my hair and secured it. That hair did not move all evening long and I never felt any pain from inappropriately placed bobby pins. It was amazing!!!
I can't begin to tell you what wonders Caroline worked on makeup. As women, we know that some days are better than others for hair and make up. Some days we just look washed out or splotchy or feel self-conscious even if we don't know why. Well let me tell you that Caroline eliminated all fears of not being up to par on such an important day. It was truly the best make up I had ever seen.
If you want a day with absolutely no stress, complete confidence that your husband will know this is absolutely the most beautiful you have ever looked, and a funny, charming, reliable professional to handle every beauty blunder there is....this is the company for you. I will never use anyone else for hair and make up ever again. I was beyond blown away and so was everyone else.

JJ was awesome! We did a trial run for my makeup with my engagement photos. During that session, she got a feel for what I was looking for with hair and makeup. She listened very well and delivered exactly what I was looking for. On the big day, she was prompt and ready to roll! She and her assistant were very professional and fun as we all got ready. I definitely recommend her to any friends or family looking for hair and makeup services.

JJ & Micaela did my make up and hair for myself and my 5 bridesmaids. They were great! They came to the hotel where we were getting ready, it was so convenient! They were extremely professional and so helpful choosing hairstyles for each of us. I received so many complements on my hair and make up at the reception, they made me feel beautiful! JJ is AMAZING!!! I have been going to her for over 5 years and she was one of the main reasons we decided against a destination wedding. I had to have JJ do my hair for my big day!

I have been in a bridesmaid in 12 weddings and I can easily say JJ does the best hair and makeup out of any artist I have worked with. She has done my hair and makeup multiple times and never let's me down. She makes you feel like you walked out of a magazine! Not to mention her personality and professionalism is top notch. As mother of the bride, JJ went "above and beyond" to make me beautiful and feel special for both the wedding and the rehearsal dinner. JJ did my hair and makeup for both my bridal portraits and my wedding day. I could not have been more pleased with how everything turned out! I took my bridals on one of the most humid days of the year and I got married in Austin in June and my hair and makeup looked flawless for both! JJ Goldman really listens to the client and gets the vision. On my special day, I wanted to look my absolute best, but most importantly, I wanted to look like myself and not too over-done. JJ definitely accomplished both those things. I am extremely particular about my make-up and frankly used to refuse to let anyone else do it, based on my horrible past experiences. Now JJ is the only one I will allow to do my make-up. She is the best! JJ has also been doing my haircuts and colors for the past 5 years and she is the only person I trust with my hair, hands down. You should definitely check her out at the William Carr Salon on Oak Lawn!

JJ made me feel like the most beautiful bride on my wedding day. My hair updo and airbrush makeup exceeded my expectations! She made me feel more glamorous than I have ever felt. The other thing that was awesome was my hair and makeup survived the entire day in the Florida heat & humidity. Our wedding was on the beach and may hair and makeup was still flawless at midnight. I highly recommend JJ over any other stylist. She can make your dreams come true.

JJ has been cutting/styling/coloring my hair (and make-up for any events) since I moved to Dallas 6 years ago. She was the ONLY person I trusted for my special day! I can't say enough amazing things about Dallas Hair and Makeup. For my wedding we did two looks - down and curled for first look and pictures with my bridesmaids and then up for the ceremony and reception. Each look was beyond perfect and stunning. Every time someone sees my photos they comment on how amazing my hair and make up looked. If you are getting married the best decision you could make is to use Dallas Hair and Makeup - seriously best decision ever :)

JJ was amazing on my wedding day! She showed up on time and got down to business. She brought ample supplies - she was almost like Mary Poppins with a makeup case. While she was working she made me feel comfortable yet pampered. I laughed, I teared up, and I had a great time with her. JJ is straightforward, honest, and most of all - TALENTED! I'm sure I will never look as good as I did on my special day, and it's all thanks to JJ.

JJ did all of the hair for myself and all of my bridesmaids on my wedding day. She was prompt, professional, efficient and everyone looked absolutely gorgeous!! She brought one friend with her to expedite the process since I had 7 bridesmaids. I would highly recommend JJ for any special occassion!

Jenny Jones Goldman is not only a talented, creative stylist but also reliable, thoughtful and a joy to be with. You can trust me when I say that she will make your special day memorable and bring an element of calm to what could be a potentially anxious situation...her client always comes first!

I have spent a lifetime playing dress up...my favorite time is the morning when I get to play with hair, makeup and creative a look as I pull from my wardrobe. When I look back to my wedding day photos, this is still my favorite look of all. JJ practiced hair styles a few weeks before the perfect day...these looks we're amazing! But the best of all came on our wedding day! And you should have seen his reaction...Wow!!!

JJ was wonderful. She came to my hotel room, on time and was easy to talk to and work with I gave her ffree reign on my hair ,and makeup and she produced exactly what I had envisioned.

JJ was great and I loved my wedding hair and make up. Her and her crew all showed up right on time the day of the wedding and did a wonderful job on myself and bridesmaids. I did trial hair and make up with her for my bridals, and I would recommend this for everyone. I tweaked a few things from my trial for the day-of and LOVED my wedding hair. Just a word of advice from one bride to another (from the few weddings I've been in and had hair and make up done) always allow for an extra 30 minutes to an hour for hair and make up than you think it will take. It never fails that one bridesmaid or a mom wants some tweaking done with her hair and make up and it puts things behind. I would recommend JJ and Dallas hair and make up for sure!! She was great!

JJ is very talented, and my hair turned out beautifully for my wedding! I have very thin, fine hair and was nervous that there was no way it would turn out good wearing it down and curled (how I've always wanted it). But JJ worked miracles and made it look perfect! We used some clip in extensions to add a little more body, but they blended well, and my hair still looked natural and not overdone. She did my sister's hair as well, and it turned out great.

My only caveat is that JJ is nice but not warm and friendly. If you are looking for a hairstylist to laugh and giggle and soothe you on your wedding day, that is not JJ's personality. She is more get-it-done and get it done well. That being said, I'm really glad I hired her for my wedding hair because she did a fabulous job at a great price (and on-site)!

JJ was amazing! So talented and easy to work with! So wonderful to see she is now doing it on her own! Both girls did an amazing job, but JJ was definitely the more professional part of the two person team! Would definitely use Dallas Hair and Makeup again and definitely recommend JJ!
