The perfect touch to our wedding!
I've always wanted a String quartet/trio at my wedding and when I found the Dallas Asian Strings, I knew I wanted to book them. They added the perfect romantic touch to our ceremony and cocktail hour. All of our guests praised how beautiful they sounded. My husband (who is not musically inclined at all) mentioned how nice they were. They were all super professional and friendly to work with. Would highly recommend!

Beautiful and Professional Live Music!
We absolutely loved having Dallas Asian Strings as part of our wedding day! They provided the music for both our ceremony and cocktail hour, and their execution was absolutely beautiful—everything flowed perfectly and created such a special atmosphere.

Dallas Asian Strings a great choice
They had a nice selections of music to choose from. We hired a string duo, cello and violin. They arrived promptly. The music was perfect for the wedding ceremony. The musicians played very well and adjusted to the ceremony starting late because of bad weather. We feel that the Dallas Asian Strings was a great choice for our wedding music.

Magical Proposal
This quartet was absolutely stunning and such a pleasure to work with. My fiancée had hired Dallas Asian Strings as a surprise for my engagement and they really made my evening so much more special and magical. We booked Dallas Asian Strings (Quartet) to play our ceremony and cocktail hour music and I can't say enough about the great job they did! They played beautiful music and really set the mood for the night. They have a vast repertoire of music from all different genres and were open to learning songs upon request. The booking process was very easy and they answered whatever questions we had promptly! 10/10 would recommend!

The BEST music for your wedding!
I got married in March of 2023 and Dallas Asian Strings did a phenomenal job. We had multiple people tell us how much they loved/enjoyed the prelude & ceremony music. Everything they played was so beautiful and they really set the tone of our wedding. There was not one dry eye while I was walking down the aisle! They truly made our day so incredibly special. They were also so amazing to work with and very responsive with every email that I sent. I am so happy that we hired them! You will not regret hiring them for your wedding!

Great Experience!
It was a breeze working with Joplin. I knew Dallas Asian Strings were the best in DFW, so I already knew I wanted them to perform at our wedding. Joplin made the whole experience so smooth and easy. She was very responsive and accommodating. We had to postpone our wedding because of COVID, but Joplin still worked with us to ensure Dallas Asian Strings was able to perform on our big day.
We didn't pay for them to rehearse at the venue, but they were still great. There was some confusion about when to stop playing when my husband walked down the aisle at the beginning of the ceremony. I think three of the four players stopped playing when my husband reached the altar, while one player kept playing, then one or two of the players that had stopped started playing again before they all finally stopped. Besides that, everything else was flawless.

This group was awesome! We sent them the songs we wanted for the pre ceremony, processional, unity candle, and recessional. Amazing strings!
I was so happy to have hired Dallas Asian Strings for my May 2021 wedding. Joplin was super flexible with rescheduling my June 2020 wedding to next May AND - I had totally forgotten about this but I had requested a Studio Ghibli song (Merry Go Round of Life) back in Spring 2020 but they had not learned that in their repertoire. Given all the craziness with rescheduling and re-planning I totally forgot about it BUT I heard them play the song during cocktail hour. I was soooo happy that they learned a song just for me, without me even mentioning it in over a year! I received many compliments on the strings and was so happy to have them playing my ceremony music too. All at an incredibly reasonable rate. 5 stars all around!

Dream ensemble every Bride should have!!
Somebody STOP ME from RAVING about them!! They really went out of their way for my husband and I! We have requested songs dedicated for my mom who passed away and song my husband wanted that they do not normally play, BUT they have the BIGGEST HEARTS and they really practiced and made sure they could do it for us and THEY DID! They’ve given us a STELLAR and ENTHRALLING performance. Hearing them play as I walked down the aisle was nothing short of MAGICAL. I still get emotional when I think of it! Dallas Asian Strings (quartet) played at my wedding on April 11th, 2021 and I could not be more pleased! They were prompt to respond to my emails and after I gave them the ceremony order they were able to play the wedding to perfection without any rehearsal needed. They offer rehearsal days for additional, but I felt confident in their abilities and my wedding was fairly simple. My dreams came true with having a quartet play live for my ceremony, and I’m so grateful I found them. My wedding was a little far from Dallas so I was lucky that they were able to travel to me. Thanks again for making the day magical, all my guests loved it!!!

I got quotes from about 12 different quartets in the DFW area, and Dallas Asian Strings is who we ended up going with. They were very responsive to any questions or concerns we had for the days leading up to our wedding. Usually responded within an hour, and they are incredible musicians. The venue we had didn’t allow amplified music so we had this quartet for the whole wedding including the prelude, ceremony, cocktail hour, first dances, and the reception. They have a great repertoire that covers all genres, and I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking for a string quartet.

They were originally unavailable on our wedding date and then let me know when they had a cancellation so I was able to book them! Joplin was very fast at communicating and very professional. They were prepared and played beautifully for our ceremony and cocktail hour. Would definitely recommend!

Dallas Asian Strings changed the vibe of my ceremony
I could not recommend live music for a ceremony enough.
We hired a trio through Dallas Asian Strings the last few months of our wedding.
They showed up on time, and our guests thought they were great.
I had several songs that were not in their repertoire that they had me purchase the sheet music for and they learned how to play them last minute! My ceremony was beautiful, and I thank Dallas Asian Strings for being apart of that.

Wonderful Experience
I had a themed Harry Potter wedding and came to Joplin with a very customized processional arrangement. It had been put together by me and arranged by the best man, so it was really important to me for it to be perfect. I got to listen to a rehearsal they performed, and it was wonderful! The day of, they played the music so beautifully, it was hard not to cry once I reached the altar. They also played a delightful variety from their repertoire during my cocktail hour. I 110% recommend them for any wedding, especially one that may have some more custom elements to it.

They showed up on time. Played beautifully, then left! Boom!
DAS was half the price of several similar groups.

I was amazed at the professionalism and service from the Dallas Asian Strings! Joplin is very responsive by email, which was super important to me. I booked a string trio to play for my ceremony. They even learned and arranged a song that was not already in their repertoire for my two maids of honor to sing during the wedding. They even arrived early to practice with them before the ceremony! Wow. I'm so impressed with Dallas Asian Strings. I asked of lot of them, requesting songs that weren't already in their repertoire, one being very complicated and it all turned out perfectly. They had an extra rehearsal for the complicated piece before my wedding day to make sure it would be great for me - and it really, really was. Quick response and thorough understanding of what we wanted.
I would recommend a practice trial before the actually ceremony. As lovely as they sounded, several time the music just came to an abrupt stop. Other times, the music began too late.
Again, they sounded so lovely, but had we maybe rehearsed, the quartet might’ve known to continue playing/not stop abruptly.
I highly recommend since they added so much more emotion and romance and intimacy to the ceremony.

Was not on cue and started to play wrong song for bride’s walk down aisle
They did well up until they made a huge flaw. They almost played The Prayer which was to be played during the lighting of the candles, before our daughter walked down the aisle when For The Love Of A Princess was to be continued and played through. I saw the soloist and coordinator stop them over the confusion and took a few moments for them to regain composure and start over. Not a good moment. We fully communicated with them on what pieces and when to play and the most important piece sadly was not played on cue and had to start over.
In the end we are ok, we give grace, we though want them to work on fully communicating and understanding with whom they contracted with ( which we did) and then communicating within their group.

I had high expectations for this group. I hired them for my wedding on 12/3/2022 and they did not meet my expectations due to unprofessionalism presented by their quartet and owner. Joplin did not want to join a virtual meeting to discuss our set list and other logistics. My wife and I went through their song options and created a list for our requested songs. We recorded their performance throughout our wedding night and played it back on our audio devices. A few songs they played, like Material Girl, were not on our requested songs list. For the price we paid them, this is extremely disappointing, especially since we booked them very early giving them plenty of time to prepare. Why did they play songs that we did not request?? We had a list of songs that would cover more than enough time that we booked them. When they arrived at our venue, they did not greet us and went straight to their playing location even though they walked right past us and we smiled and waved at them. We were not busy and just stood there while our videographer was recording detail videos of our venue. They were 'moody' as some of my guests told me days after my wedding and they presented themselves as stuck up the entire night. I'm not quite sure why they were somewhat rude on our wedding night. We were kind and communicative throughout the entire process. I hired them from 6-8:30 PM and they also had a 30 minute break. The total was $1012.40. I feel this was a premium price to pay for a professional, friendly, and great service, however we did not receive any of that throughout the entire process with Dallas Asian Strings. On a side note, they sounded slightly out of tune in their performances. The cellist was flat and the 1st violin was not loud enough. I have experience of performing with my violin at multiple gigs where the positioning/location of my group was not that great and the sound system was not great either, however I made sure to let the party/wedding couple know I was there and that they would be very well taken care of by my performance and I would do the best I could. Their given space was not that crowded and was extremely doable. Joplin never emailed me to advise on placement of her quartet and did not give any suggestions. I personally left an audio device, not a pen, in the middle of the quartet before they started. The audio device was right in front of them, about 1 feet away from their music stand. You would think the 1st violin would be loud enough, but it was not. Overall, very disappointed.
