Daevid provided us flowers for our rehearsal dinner at Steinhilbers, our welcome reception for our of town guests at the Half Moone Cruise Terminal, and our wedding at the Chrysler Museum of Art. Daevid and his staff were such an integral part of our wedding weekend, and they could not have made it anymore beautiful.
He was so patient during the process as we added events, changed colors, and changed layouts multiple times. He was able to work with any budget and come up with options that worked within it. He took the time to sit down and explain different flowers and their availability during that time of year, and help you understand his vision for the wedding. In the end, it came down to just trusting Daevid and his team to do what they do best. Friends and family could not believe how amazing our flowers and décor were. From the centerpieces, to the cake flowers, and the added touch of a rose at each place setting, he is truly a professional in all aspects.
If he is available for your wedding or other event, we suggest you retain him as soon as possible as he will take it to the next level. We owe him the world, as he was one of our favorite vendors throughout the process. Thank you for making our wedding spectacular and making our dreams come true!

Daevid's is the absolute best florist in the world!!!!!!! My wedding was nothing short of a fairytale and I owe it all to his attention to details, and my style. From the first meeting we had an amazing time talking about how spectacular he could make the wedding day look. The best part of the wedding was walking into the reception hall at the Founders Inn, I was astonished!!!!!!! Words can not describe how wonderful I felt walking into my own fairytale. Daevid's is the ONLY way to go when it comes to making your wedding day a success!!!!!!

Daevid and his team made our wedding absolutely perfect. From the very first meeting, my mom and I knew we had to work with Daevid- his excitement, expertise and energy won us over. Daevid made us feel as though he really cared about my big day and would bring the vision we created to life. The week of my wedding, Daevid texted me pictures of flowers he would be using in my bouquet, he also called to check to see how I was doing. Not only is Daevid a master of his craft, he is a genuine, kind and compassionate person. Daevid went above and beyond. Our wedding was absolutely breathtaking thanks to him. We just received our wedding photos and I am still in awe of the romantic glam that Daevid and his team transformed the Hilton's ballroom to. Daevid is "unparalleled" in all regards, beyond that of just floral design, he advised us on the overall presentation of our menu and wedding attire. Most people decide or have some idea as it relates to their theme or color scheme, we had none of the above. We met with the Daevid first and got our direction from him. He definitely can make your "dreams" come true !!!

He has such a passion for his job, and is amazing to work with. He does so much more then just floral work, he really helps design your dream wedding. Daevid's touches added so much to my wedding. I am not knowledgable by any means when it comes to flowers, but he was able to take my fee ideas and run with them. I am so glad I trusted his creative instincts and let him just "go with it" when it came to the table details - it was so worth it! Daevid went above and beyond and I would highly recommend him!

Daevid's work was stunning. His creative direction and guidance was spot on with our vision. He took the time to truly understand us as a client- from our first consultation, when he had previewed my pinterest board and brainstormed ideas in advance, to the final few days when he made some strategic flower substitutions to meet our needs. He created a classic, timeless feel throughout the entire event- from flowers, to the table settings to the rehearsal dinner. He was incredibly detail oriented and brought ideas to the table that I never could have imagined. We have received consistent feedback from our guests that it was the most beautiful wedding they ever attended. Daevid is so much more than a florist, but a creative partner and design consultant. We thoroughly enjoyed working with him and would highly recommend him for any event.

Daevid is, by far, the most talented florist I've ever met! I didn't have a clear idea of what I wanted for our wedding so I gave Daevid our colors, answered a few questions he had, and left the rest to him.. and oh my goodness, we couldn't have imagined a more perfect wedding. The chuppah (wedding canopy) was absolutely gorgeous and provided the perfect background as we got married. The reception was breathtaking and all of the bouquets were incredible. I can't say enough about how wonderful Daevid is!!!

We loved how Daevid brought all the details we envisioned on our wedding day to life! Our wedding centerpieces were absolutely breathtaking - they were just perfect. I was a very involved bride with a Type A++ personality who was very hesitant to trust even the vendors themselves despite the fact that I couldn't do it myself. However, when I met with Daevid and told him the concept of our wedding, the emotions we wanted to evoke, and the way we wanted my guests to feel on the BIG day; I felt like he really listened intently. His centerpiece and decor suggestions definitely confirmed that. As we continued to work with Daevid, his services ended up being the core of our wedding day as he adviced us on lighting and other aspects to bring our concept full circle. Daevid is extremely passionate about his work and it shows because he genuinely cares about making the bride's vision a reality. We had so much confidence in him that not only did he do our decor but he also did our linens and our Sweetheart Table which was sooooo uniquely AMAZING! Even before we (the bridal party entered the reception hall) we had hotel staff and other vendors telling us how PHENOMENAL the reception hall looked, somebody even said it was like a dream. We still have guests to date that are still talking about our centerpieces. He made our wedding day dreams a reality. Working with Daevid was nothing short of AMAZING!! My younger sister got married in September 2011 and she used Daevid's for her flowers and decor. I knew that I wanted to use him for my wedding because he did such a stellar job for her wedding. He created the most gorgeous chuppah for her ceremony. I got married in June 2013 at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden in Richmond, VA. Daevid used flowers and decor that complemented the garden's flowers. His team created my Gatsby-themed centerpieces flawlessly! He also had a vision of a swirling "S" seating arrangement for my ceremony. It was one of the highlights of the entire wedding and everyone was raving about it! I highly recommend him to anyone who's looking for the best florist and decor specialist!

During our first meeting with Daevid, my fiance (the Bride) explained her "vision" to him. He easily understood exactly what she was saying and advised us on how to make her vision better. It is not over the top to say that Daevid's artistic creativity improved every idea we had. On the day of our wedding, he exceeded all expectations. Our guests are still talking about how gorgeous the flowers and decor were at our wedding.

I did not have a strong aesthetic vision for my wedding but after asking a few questions, Daevid was able to draw up a plan that suited me personality perfectly. Everything was beautiful and perfect! I couldn't have asked for anyting better! After meeting with Daevid and sitting down with him to discuss what I was looking for my wedding, he put together the most beutiful flowers and decorations, it really was absolutely perfect. He set everything up from the ceremony to the reception and actually took some of the decor from the ceremony (after it was over of course) and moved it inside and placed it up the stairway to the reception area making that space look beautiful as well. His prices were very reasonable and he was wonderful to work with. Hands down I would recommend using Daevid's for any event decorating!

We are in love with Daevid's!! They were recommended to me by my aunt who uses them for her company Christmas parties. Stephanie is so easy to communicate with and is so on top of things! When we sat down with Daevid for our consultation, he was very thorough and attentive. He wasn't trying to rush us and wanted to get an idea of exactly what we were feeling. He made suggestions for difference center pieces and worked with us to find our ideal design. I was fascinated by his knowledge and ability to quickly think up combinations off the top of his head. As we got closer to the big day and things changed here and there, it was so easy to make adjustments to our contract/pricing. Though they were a little more expensive than what we originally planned on, we felt that no one else could compare to their quality of work and attention to detail.

So hands down, I couldn't be any happier with the way my arrangements, bouquets, corsages, and boutonnieres had turned out! They were stunning, and they were definitely creative! Working with Daevid and Stephanie has been such a joy! When we went to meet with them, they were so sweet, friendly, and they just make you feel at home. They were so great to work with, I had been set on my flowers being a different way, and he took us to the back room and just showed me different ways he could make some arrangements and with different flowers, and let me tell ya, they are pure genius over there! So, I had actually just let them decide what they wanted to with my centerpieces, I'll admit I was definitely nervous about what they would look like because I wouldn't see them til the day of, but they were absolutely amazing and I couldn't have been any happier! If you want some gorgeous looking bouquets that have a lot of thought and care put into them, Daevid's is the florist you would want to work with! Where to start! I met with Daevid and knew right away he knew exactly what I was looking for. The flowers were the prettiest I have ever seen! The room was large but the centerpieces had just the right presence in the room- not in the way of vision at all. My bouquets was absolutely gorgeous!! Every bit of what I had dreamed of.
All our guests were commenting on how perfect everything looked and asked "Who did the Flowers" I told them with Thank you for an awesome job- you are the Best!

Very professional and creative. Daevid was able to capture perfectly our vision for the ceremony and reception. He went well beyond the extra mile to ensure that everything was exactly how we wanted. We were planning our ceremony for VA from Japan and with the use of skype, Daevid walked us though different design elements and ideas as it was nearly impossible to choose ANYTHING via online pictures. His services are definitely worth the investment!

Brides, once you have selected your venue please select your florist NEXT. Daevid is a full service florist that will help you with the overall look for your wedding! Stehanie and Daevid are wonderful to work with! When I went to meet with him, I kinda knew what I wanted but Daevid pulled it together with his ideas and additional decorating pieces that just made it look like something out of a magazine. Brides he is our local David Tutera!!!!

Daevid and his team provided completely customized services for me, above and beyond the contracted requirements. His team put in countless hours before the event to discuss and confirm even the smallest details of the event, and executed beautifully on the day of the event. I absolutely loved working with Daevid as he was so excited to step out of the box and blend ideas from many other events to create a completely unique look that was 100% perfect for me and my husband. Two weeks after the event, we are still receiving compliments about how beautiful the room was. I will definitely use him again in any other events that I throw in the Hampton Roads area, and will 100% recommend him to other friends looking for a florist.

People walked into the ballroom and actually gasped at the beauty of the room. We were all thrilled with what Daevid and his team created. Daevid was absolutely, 100%, by far the most amazing florist I could have ever dreamed of having at my wedding! I went to a bridal show searching for a florist because I wasn't finding that "wow" factor with anyone I met. When I saw his showcase, I fell in love. Once I met with him, I knew right away he was the perfect fit for our wedding. I had ideas, but he turned them into a masterpiece. He knew exactly how to take my colors & theme and translate it into a dream come true. When I walked into the venue the night of my wedding, the view took my breath away. The arrangements were GORGEOUS. He knew exactly what flowers should be paired together and how to make them work absolutely stunning. His creativity and imagination immediately sold me and everything he suggested was exactly what I wanted (even before I knew I wanted it!)

When I told him my budget was smaller than the original price quote, he worked with me to come up with creative ways to make the same impact with a smaller dollar amount.

I would reccommend him to any bride-to-be. He really made the most beautiful wedding for us- centerpieces were breathtaking, my bouquet was the most gorgeous thing I've ever seen in my life (I even took it on two plane rides with me when I moved the next day just so I didn't have to leave them behind), and every single touch was so perfect. They had ideas and suggestions for everything- even how to arrange the bridesmaids' bouquets around the cake table to extend their display at the wedding. It was so incredible.

I also want to thank Stephanie for all of her hard work. I must have emailed and called a hundred times while we were planning- asking questions, updating them on changes to my seating chart, and asking their advice/opinions. She was always SO responsive and helpful and had the best attitude. What a team!

THANK YOU DAEVID & TEAM- I loved everything and I am honest when I say that you really made my day....everyone was so impressed with what you did.

Daevid is the best in the business - a true visionary! His team really went above and beyond just providing flowers. He met with us just once and turned a few ideas into a dream come true. I coordinated our wedding from out of town, and his team was in constant contact and touched based often with new ideas and alternatives to help make our wedding magical. We were able to also add event rentals, including chairs, chargers, votives and the aisle carpet through Daevid's, which really made the entire process so stress-free. I could not be any happier with the service provided by Daevid's for our wedding. When I walked into our reception it was EVERYTHING we had envisioned - it looked stunning! The flowers were beautiful and the care they took to arrange everything and make it just right was obvious in the details. You really can't beat Daevid, Stephannie, and their support staff. They were extremely helpful through the entire planning process and ALL of the flowers WOW'ed everyone. They really helped complete the look and feel for the wedding ceremony and reception. They were great at keeping in contact and very flexible and timely for deliveries. We were also fortunate enough to be able to use the gorgeous hard wood/ rod iron tables they now have, that was exactly what we had invisioned! We really can't say enough good things about them.

Anyone in the Hampton Roads area knows that Daevid is a HOT commodity! Nailing him for my wedding meant everything (and every penny lol) to me! I didn't have the biggest budget for decor and flowers but Daevid did everything he could to make it work. Let's not forget about Stephanie who was always quick to respond with my requests... Even if they didn't make sense! They were a great team of people to work with and when we renew our vows, I can only hope they aren't too 'big' for us to afford! Daevid's staff were the friendliest and most helpful of all of the vendors I chose for my wedding. I had total confidence that they would do an amazing job and they did just that. The flowers and table decorations were beautiful. They really worked within my budget to achieve the look I was dreaming of (and even discounted some items and didn't even charge for some of the rentals!) I would HIGHLY recommend Daevid's to any bride! They are the BEST choice you can make for a florist!!

I contracted with Daevid's of Norfolk in November and my wedding was in December. Even though it was short notice, the flowers and event decor were spectacular. No one would ever known there was such a short window of planning. I recieved so many positive comments on my event decor- it was like none other many of my guests had seen before. Daevid's staff was very professional, accomodating and flexible. Daevid added those extra special little touches and pays much attention to the detail.

When I first met Daevid I knew in my head what I wanted my wedding to look like, but I couldnt put it into words....so he asked me a few simple questions and went into the back of his shop and through some wonderful things together with what he had! Picking out floral and linens for our wedding could not have been any easier. We met with Daevid once and gave him a rough idea of what we were looking for. After listening attentively, Daevid immediately took us to the back of his shop, and on-the-spot he assembled centerpieces to give us an idea of what he was thinking. Without hesitation, Daevid created the perfect centerpieces, exactly what we were looking for. He promptly sent us a proposal, including pictures of the flowers he envisioned, and with very, very minimal changes, we immediately signed. Throughout the planning process, anytime we had a question we got an immediate response, even when we were making changes at the last minute. Daevid and his staff were an absolute pleasure to work with!

Even though our venue had very strict time restrictions for set-up and clean-up, Daevid's staff was prompt and efficient, without sacrificing quality. They had everything under perfect control and didn't ask me for a thing. Every last detail exceeded my expectations! From the beautiful petal arrangement down our aisle, to every last flower that was perfectly arranged on our cake. We also rented our linens from Daevid, and they were beautiful! Daevid is so talented and creative, he not only made our ceremony and reception flawless, but he made the entire planning process easy and FUN!

You can place your vision in the hands of Daevids of Norfolk. Stephanie is excellent with answering your questions and making you feel like you are the only bride they are working with. Daevid has a gift from God. He takes your vision to another level and does so without taking advantage of you or your finances. Be honest with him about your budget and he will work with you. Daevid also provided me with great referrals for my wedding cake and photographer.

While I was not able to use Daevid's for my wedding (they had already booked my date by the time I called), I was very impressed by Daevid and his team.

On the day of my wedding, we did bride-groom pictures beforehand and I forgot to pick up my bouquet before leaving the house. As we drove around town (flower-less) to the unique spots we wanted to shoot, we passed by Daevid's. Our photographer immediately yelled stop and and that he wanted to take pictures there. You see, Daevid's has this huge yellow-painted brick wall with flowers, and beautiful planters with sweet potato plants overflowing onto the sidewalk. We got out and started taking pictures with the Daevid wall as our backdrop, and not more than five minutes later, Daevid came out with a beautiful bouquet of yellow flowers for me to use in my pictures (and yellow was my color!). It was so kind and unbelievably professional of him to see us taking pictures and notice I was sans flowers.

Daevid is truly a class act and I couldn't have thanked him more for adding this little detail to our wedding photos!

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for providing gorgeous flowers for our wedding at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church and The Westin on May 28, 2011. The pew markers and altar arrangements brought color and vibe to the church, and we loved the modern touch. The centerpieces were super modern, elegant and sexy, which lit up the room. The bouquets and flowers for the wedding party were beautiful; thank you for allowing us to have the blooms of our choice. Many thanks for providing an amazing bridal bouquet with all my favorite flowers and colors and introducing me to the nerine lily. The flowers were displayed at my parents' home the next day during our post-wedding brunch. Some of the orchids and calla lilies are still alive in our kitchens. I pressed the groom's boutonniere and a few blooms to preserve them! We also appreciate the fabulous satin linens (white table cloths and hot pink napkins) and silver chargers at The Westin. Daevid, your suggestions to use these were great. These items pulled our theme together, and everyone noticed! We constantly look at pictures of our guests' tables. THANK YOU! :)

LOVED EVERYTHING! Daevid and his assistant Stephanie are both fabulous - from start to finish I was so impressed. I sent Stephanie a million pictures to quote for the centerpieces and even though I went w/ the original proposal - she still kept promptly responding.

I could hardly even explain to Daevid what I wanted for the wedding and some how it turned it exactly how I wanted (well actually even better)! The centerpieces, wedding cake flowers, linens, plate chargers, the bridal party flowers and my bouquet were all absolutely stunning.

Daevid also helped me work within my budget - I told him what was most important to me and he made the whole thing work out perfectly! (Which given the fact we had about 20 people in the wedding party wasn't easy.) For example, we cut out flowers at the altar since I didn't care about that (which are super pricey) and he told me 5 reasons why that he agreed with that. Which I really appreciated since another florist had told me that is a "huge mistake", "empty space", and it was a "must".

All around extremely happy -fabulous!

It is my pleasure to give Daevid's an awesome review. I used them for flowers, linens and decor. Coming from an event planning background myself I have dealt with many different vendors in the past few years and when it was my turn to get married I was introduced to Daevid's only after a mishap with another vendor two weeks before my wedding. Literally, within a week and one visit to his shop they put together the vision that I had in my head. I was instantly at ease when I was told that, even with a weeks time frame, I would be able to get exactly what I wanted. Which, a week before your wedding, is really the only ok answer. Daevid's was wonderful! He was one of the first vendors I met with when starting to plan for my wedding. I came in already having my venue picked out along with my wedding dressed and bridesmaids dresses ordered. I told him a little about my personal style, the colors I had selected and of course some of my favorite flowers and he was able to just start creating an idea for my wedding that ended up being truly amazing. I had several guest after the wedding tell me they had never been to such a beautiful wedding. Daevid also recommended a lighting vendor, Blue Steel Lighting, which really tied all of his creations together by adding extra emphasis on the beautiful center pieces on each guest table and beautiful lighting on the pergola that was used for the alter! Everything was beautiful and I never once had to worry about anything, it was all perfect!

I don’t know what to even say, Daevid saved my butt! I had planned to have a friend at work do my flowers for me but things just didn’t work out…. 3 days before the wedding I had no bouquet for myself. I had gotten a friends sister to make fake bouquets for my bridesmaids but I REALLY wanted real ones for myself. I called Daevid 3 days before the wedding and left a message…. Later that day his assistant called back and put him on the phone… I spent about 10 minutes on the phone with him (talking about my venue, my dress, my style and personality, and other little details). He said he could do it and the price was awesome! I thought I was going to be scrambling to find someone but he was my first and last call (recommended to me by a friend who used him for her own wedding). I cant believe how much stress it took off my shoulders and how great it was to not have to spend lots of time or money figuring out what to do! Daevid saved my day and I had the most beautiful flowers! Without even meeting me he made them match my personality just perfect just by talking to me over the phone! Better yet, people continue to talk about the flowers till this day! People loved them enough to even remember them! Thanks Daevid!!!

Daevids is the hands down best Florist in Hampton Roads. He and his team have a unique perspective on floral design and you can tell their passion by their work. I met with David and immediately he grasped our wedding concept. We wanted unique but traditional and he delivered. He was incredibly flexible with budget and ideas. The thing that I valued the most was his personal touch. I needed to incorporate a few things from bouquets of my relativers and David did this with flair and elegance. Our flowers were a hit but only because of his take on the centerpieces.

We wanted unique for our fall wedding and I knew nothing about flowers coming into it. After meeting (and being dissapointed with) several other florists, I met Daevid. I gave a rough description of my dress, my bridesmaids, and my thoughts and he was able to pull several flowers right there that were perfect, stunning, unique, and smelled amazing! His pricing was better than I could have asked for and the end product was stunning. Everyone else was going for over-kill and just looks... I love that Daevid incorporated smell into my flowers because it gave such a wonderful accent to the already beautiful arrangements. I had to change a few things to our bridal party and table arrangements last minute and they handled all that like it was no problem at all. I could not have been more thrilled. If you want your wedding to have a style and beauty all of it's own, look no further. You won't find a cookie cutter wedding here... just a beautiful reflection of you in flowers!

I would HIGHLY recommend this vendor to EVERYONE. A true visionary who took our simple lantern as our inspiration and turned our centerpieces into true masterpieces. The ceremony room was decorated to perfection making it a beautiful setting.
Everyone who attended was raving about the decorations. I don’t know what to say but WOW. I can’t being to tell you how PERFECT and extraordinarily BEAUTIFUL everything was for the wedding. Perfection to the max!

Daevid's and his team helped make our wedding day amazing! As an out of town bride email and phone consultations were really important. Daevid and his team also accommodated my busy schedule by working with days and times that worked best for us both for initial consultations. Daevid did the flowers and decor for my friend's wedding and from that day I knew that I wanted to use his services for mine. Daevid worked with our budget and helped make my Pinterest board dreams come true. I highly recommend his services!!

When I chose Daevid, it was because I was so impressed by the pictures of his previous work and he seemed to really get my vision from the beginning. I had a definite idea about what I wanted, but it would not have been realized with the same amount of clarity with anyone else. It was like a dream when we walked in and we were floating the whole night. Our guests are still raving. . . I highly recommend him.

I loved working with Daevid's. He knew exactly what I wanted and delivered. I thought it to be inexpensive. Although the staff at the reception site shattered 40 of our flower vases while he was setting up, I realize it was not his fault and that he could not replace them in time before the reception was to begin. I did not get to see the full effect of what Daevid's could offer! But I know it would have been grand :) I've been recommending him to everyone.

Absolutely wonderful to work with! Reliable, flexible, and affordable. The only complaint I had was that the boutonniers were a little more plain than I'd expected. Otherwise, everything was perfect. I would use them again in a heartbeat and recommend them to anyone hands down.

We loved working with Daevid. At our first meeting, he knew exactly what we needed to fit the style and theme of our wedding. In fact, he threw the perfect centerpiece together in minutes. You can tell he loves what he does and he does it well! He is very willing to work within budgets!

Daevid is a true artist -- he saw a glimpse of my unfinished idea for my wedding reception and put together an incredible ambience that captured just what I envisioned. He was able to fill a relatively plain space and make it elegant and warm. The centerpieces and bouquets were amazing. The process of working with Daevid was overall pleasant. (Some of his staff were not as pleasant as he is, but that comes with the package.) I was a little surprised when I received my invoice and noticed it was much beyond the budget I thought we had agreed upon, but in the end, it all worked out.

Daevids was absolutely wonderful! I have always loved seeing their work as I grew up. The arrangments, bouquets, boutonnieres, plate settings, everything was just beautiful! I did not get the opportunity to see everything that Daevid's put together for us on our wedding day, I just cannot wait to see the pictures. I would recommend Daevid's in a heartbeat!

The Flowers at the reception were amazing loved them....at the church we had a misunderstanding of how I want the bouquets but he came and tried to fix them. The only complaint i have would be the flowers we falling out of the ball of flowers the bridesmaid carried even before we walked down the aisle and some of the flowers fell out of the pin ons. But other then that great service and beautiful presentation

Flowers and table decor was awsome, we loved the way the tables were arranged. Everything was up to our expectations from Daevid. We recomend him to anyone who love Flowers and like your event to be a memorable one. Anita:)

Daevid consistently does amazing work. His wide variety of vases, table decorations, etc make it easy to put together the perfect tablescape. Definitely an expert in the area - I completely trusted his judgement and it came together perfectly. If I were to do it all again I would certainly go with Daevid!

Daevid is by far the most talented florist in the area! He listens, and performs with spot-on accuracy. I had a difficult time conveying exactly what I wanted, and honestly wasn’t sure how everything was going to look. I was completely blown away when I entered my reception site. I only wish I could have had more time to look at every little detail, because there were so many!

I can’t tell you how many times guests came up to me and said this is the most beautiful wedding I’ve ever seen. It’s been 7 weeks and I’m still hearing compliments on my décor. Thank you Daevid. I will recommend your services to everyone. (I have 2 unmarried sisters ;-) )

First of all, the flowers and their presentation were excellent. Daevid is definitely in a league of his own.

However, it would be helpful if one of Daevid's representatives coordinate and ensure all receive their bouquets/boutonnieres/corsages. There was too much confusion, and a few items were missing - one bouquet and flower girl petals.

Daevid's is absolutely the best when it comes to event floral and decor. When I met with him about our wedding flowers, I knew everything was going to be wonderful but it was better than that. Our reception was STUNNING and every one of my guests made sure to say so. Daevid took my vision about what I wanted and took it to an entirely different level. His attention to detail and the customer service he and his staff provide simply can't be matched. Stephanie was available for consult every step of the way and they even accommodated a change to the delivery site the morning of our wedding. We would give them six stars if it was an option!

Daevid was easy to work with. He listened to what I wanted and helped fill in the holes in my "vision". The arrangements were beautiful and you could tell the flowers were fresh. In fact, my mother and my mother-in-law both took flowers from the arrangements and bouquets home after the wedding and they lasted for 6 to 8 days after the wedding. I would definitely recommend Daevid to others.

Daevid was wonderful and made it easy to have a beautiful wedding and reception. My only wish is that the one lily that had the orange color that I wanted in the arrangements was fully open. Other that that the staff, decorations, and wedding turned out wonderful.

I was an out of town bride who asked my mom if she could take care of the flowers. I work full-time so it's hard for me to take time off to meet with every vendor for the wedding. I would do my best through phone and email, and was lucky my family lived in the area to help me. Right off the bat, Daevid wanted me to come down for a consultation because he said he truly wanted to get to know the bride and get a feel for her style, likes, and dislikes. This was totally fine. I accept someone taking pride and care in their work.

We get to the consultation, and right away we start looking at flowers in his studio. He pulled the printed proposal (emailed previously) out on his workshop table and started to do some arrangements with what we presumed were the flowers listed on that proposal. We are not the experts, so we trusted him to show us what he proposed. We loved the centerpieces. Daevid loved them. He really sold us on these arrangements and both my mom and I and even Daevid were taking pictures of these arrangements for our records.

The contract listed each type of flower being used, but not any notes of the style or arrangement shown. Because we loved what he showed us, we signed the contract assuming that this "style" of arrangements were the ones that he would be using for our centerpieces. Obviously, they would not be exact, but very close. We even took his advice when dealing with our lighting company because he would be using a light under the vases (like in our pics).

Right before the wedding, there is a second consultation to be done and signed off on. I requested to make arrangements for this meeting with his assistant, and she said that if everything looked good from the original contract and consultation, then there was no need to meet, but we could mail in the signed contract. After the 1st consultation, I was NOT contacted by Daevid letting me know that anything had changed, or needed to be subtracted, added, substituted, etc. This was a good sign to me that we were good to go.

Wedding day arrives, the church decorations were lovely, the bridal party bouquets and boutonnieres were great (both items we never saw an example of), the centerpieces were completely different from what he showed us, and what we have pictures of. Yes, they were nice, but they were of a completely different style, and literally people were asking if my mother did them because she is quite talented in that department as well. Very disappointing.

After the wedding, my coordinator explained our disappointment with the centerpieces to Daevid's assistant (he was never available from here on out). She said she would talk to Daevid, show him the pictures from our consultation, and get back to us.

Weekly, my coordinator would get an update that Daevid would call us to talk about it, but he never did. Finally, 1 month later, I get a voicemail from his assistant saying that she's sorry that we were disappointed, but that we signed the contract and that's what they did at the wedding reception. I emailed back a personal response, and almost another month has passed, and still no reply.

I understand that I signed off on the contract/proposal, but what I only saw on the proposal were the types of vases and the types of flowers. There was nothing listed in their about the "style and type" of arrangements. I thought this would come from Daevid's notes/pics that he took from our first consultation. All the types of flowers for the centerpieces were great, so I signed.

If I had known that all of those notes/pics/sketches that he did during our first consultation would be completely forgotten and had to be written in with the contract directly, then I would have most definitely come down for the second consultation that I had emailed about. I found it odd that if the proposal was not in agreement with what he was showing us in his studio (before signing), then why wouldn't Daevid make notes on the contract we were signing and initial them? He never gave us any indication that the proposal had to be changed because of what he showed us in his work studio. Our understanding was that - what was shown in the studio was what was on the proposal.

Bottom line is that we heard amazing thing about Daevid's, he showed us "amazing" at our consultation, and we didn't get that for our centerpieces. We made assumptions that his notes and pics of the "arrangement style" would be in addendum to the flowers listed in the proposal.

It was truly disappointing to have to also speak with his assistant about this when she was such a nice girl, and had not been in on the consultations. The fact that Daevid didn't make an easy effort to call or even write an email himself to speak with us was truly upsetting. I even waited about 2 months to see if he would get in touch to set things straight, but he never did. Sadly, this is probably the only way I would get an actual response.

I thought long and hard about leaving a review, but clearly have decided it needed to be done. I went to Daevids because a friend recommended him, as well as the coordinator at my venue. When I first met with him, I was convinced everything was going to be great, I felt like he really listened to what I wanted. Three weeks later, he sent me a proposal that seems to include everything we had talked about, and came in just a little bit over my budget, so I signed it and paid my 700.00 deposit. Everything seemed to be going well until two weeks before my wedding, when I got an email saying that they had "mistakenly" forgotten to put prices on some of the items on my estimate, and therefore I would have to pay them an additional 500.00 to get everything listed on my estimate. So while I know legally this would not hold up, my options were pay them 500.00 or so dollars or be forced to find a new florist two weeks before my wedding, losing my seven hundred dollar deposit. Instead I split the baby, opting to get some of the additional items and missing out on others. At no point did daevid adress this with me directly, I only had email communications with his assistant. Clearly I was not pleased, but I still had to rely on them. I really wish I had taken the hit on the seven hundred and found someone else. It became clear that instead of paying more attention to my wedding, I was written off when I didn't up my budget to pay the additional amounts. On my wedding day, I was horrified with the result. First,Though the flowers were pretty, I had given specific instructions that I wanted no green in my bouquet- and in came a giant bouquet( had requested a small one) with giant green leaves! I looked like I was carrying a bush down the aisle! And my centerpieces were pink! Which I hate. Aesthetics aside, beware when signing a contract with them. I have told everyone I know getting married to use someone else. Unless you have a huge budget, you may be disappointed.

I went to Daevid's and was quoted $3,800 and told them that I could not afford it. When I told them I needed to cut things out they told me I could only go down 15% from what they quoted me. They only care about the money, not the bride and groom and making their wedding day perfect.
