We knew from the moment we met Don that he absolutely had to DJ our wedding and it was the best decision we could have made!! His personality would make anyone instantly love him. He kept in touch several times prior to the wedding day to make sure all the details and song selections were perfect.
Don and his assistant kept things moving through the evening and kept our butts on the dance floor until the lights came on (my feet still hurt!!). Our guests continue to tell us how much fun they had at our wedding. He has a way of making the songs flow so that you never want to leave the dance floor. So talented!! Also, the up-lighting really set the mood for the evening - highly recommend!
Side note - Don clearly goes above and beyond as I'm pretty sure I spotted him help serve food at one point :)

Great DJs and MCs, Book them now!
Bottom Line Up Front: Book these guys. Reasonable price, great value, fantastic music, MCing, dancing and lighting.
They say that a DJ makes or breaks your wedding, and in the case of Don and D&J DJ Service, it is clear they MADE the wedding. Don met with us before the wedding to understand the vibe we were going for, and we gave him a simple instruction "we do not want any of the guests to be able to leave the dance floor because the music is too good." And boy, did Don deliver.
Don provided the speakers and music we selected for the ceremony, easily transitioned to the reception, and set the mood at all points of the Wedding. The up lighting really enhanced the experience. The speeches were clear with Don's equipment, and as soon as the dance floor opened, we could not leave. Back to back bangers. Even when slow songs came on and some people left the floor, Don knew how to get them right back on the dance floor.
By the end of the night, we had multiple people ask for Don's name so they could book him for their wedding. He was worth every penny and more. I highly recommend him, or anyone in his company, to DJ and MC whatever event you have coming up.

Best DJ for our wedding!
We loved working with DJ Mike for our wedding! He was very thorough in going over all the details for our wedding day and accommodated all our last minute changes and additions. On the wedding day, all the music and audio was perfect! DJ Mike really did a great job creating the party atmosphere we were looking for during our reception. Every guest at the reception was out on the dance floor - even some stubborn family members who don't usually dance! We were so impressed with DJ Mike and we would highly recommend him to any couple that wants to hear: "that was the most fun wedding we have ever been to!"

We had DJ Sean for our wedding! We could not have asked for a better DJ for our wedding! From start to finish, everything was seamless and professional. We booked with D&J DJ service because of our first meeting with the owner Don. He went through the types of DJ’s and gave examples of different scenarios and a behind the scenes and better understanding. Our DJ Sean was the perfect DJ for our wedding. He was able to blend songs perfectly and kept the dance floor packed. Sean went above and beyond by recording videos of the dance floor. Absolutely Amazing!
My husband and I just got married. We went to the court house to actually get married and had a reception a few days later. We used D&J DJ Services. We met with Don and he showed us the different types of way DJs can play music which we were clueless about. Don was able to not only help us find what we wanted in terms of style, but also helped us pick out the different type of music for each part of our reception.
For our reception, we had Eric as our DJ and he was absolutely amazing. Eric called me and my husband a few days prior just to confirm everything we had already submitted and hear the little things we wanted to change or add. As the bride, I was all over the place that day so didn’t have an opportunity to meet Eric before we were supposed to walk in. When it came about time to walk in, Eric came out and met with my husband and I, explained what was going to happen and it really helped us feel less nervous. He was an amazing DJ, playing a really great mix of genres that both me and my husband wanted, but also that our guests wanted. Eric did an amazing job and he really helped make our wedding fun and enjoyable.
I will be recommending D&J, as well as Eric, to everyone I know who asks for recommendations!

From the moment Don connected me to work with Sean I knew we were going to be in the best hands! He is so friendly and just has the sweetest personality. Sean was so good at communicating with me exactly how the day would go and made sure that every detail was exactly how I wanted it. He made sure that my wedding day was perfect. They came to my ceremony location and my reception. When we got to the reception, he played the exact songs we asked for! Then when it came to the dance floor, no one wanted to leave! Just about everyone in the ballroom was up on the dance floor. When we asked everyone to leave so we could have a private final dance no one wanted to leave because the playlist was so good! If you are looking for a DJ that has state of the art sound and lighting, is also a great Master of Ceremonies and knows how to read the room to keep the party going look no further. We hired Don and his team for our wedding with only three weeks notice. Everything we could ask for in a DJ
Don was great to work with leading up to the wedding and throughout the reception. He has a ton of experience and is a good listener and flexible. He worked with us to accommodate all of our requests, including coming up with a perfect intro to an old homemade dance video we provided to the venue. He also synched up the video with an edited version of the song we provided to him separately.
At the reception, he did a great job reading the crowd and playing the right songs to get everyone dancing. He's not one of those DJ's who gets on people's nerves by trying to cajole them to dance...his music choices do that all by themselves. It was always about us and never about him. He spoke only when we wanted him to (e.g., introducing speakers or announcing fun activities) and he was concise (not verbose) and courteous. He is extremely knowledgeable about music and clearly loves what he does. He works hard to make it an enjoyable experience for everyone in attendance. We would use him again in a heartbeat.

DJ Mike was an awesome addition to our big day last weekend on 5/13/23. We had a brunch wedding so it was important to us to have a DJ that could sense the room’s vibe and switch between more chill acoustic music and dance music when everyone was ready to party! While searching for a DJ, my parents had suggested Don, who was their wedding DJ as well. We set up a meeting and knew immediately that Don was our guy. He’s got an excellent personality and makes it known that he wants your wedding to be as perfect as you do. Also, Don is an absolute trooper because my husband and I are horrible at making decisions and picking songs for different things, so we have him a lot of freedom to do so. DJ Don was great at keeping the energy going at our event. We were not entirely sure what we wanted in a DJ at first, but after meeting with him, he helped us with our ideas for the night. He helped keep things moving along on schedule. You Found Them, Stop Your Search!
D & J really are the best and you will feel that from start to finish! Right from the beginning, Don made us feel at ease with his electric personality, his attention to details and individual tastes, and his infectious passion for having a good time. He invited us into his home, got to know us as a couple, and let us get to know him and his business before he even started talking music and lighting. Don takes the time to get to know his clients like this so he can make sure they get paired with a DJ that will best suit their needs, and that kind of personal touch showed through because we had the best night of our lives!
We were lucky enough to have Don for our wedding and everyone was blown away! My family enjoys music that is more of an acquired taste for some, but he did not miss a beat working their songs into the mix. Seamless transitions and fantastic song selection made it hard to leave the dance floor for long!

Outstanding Service, Brock-Winand Wedding
When I hired Sean McKeown as our DJ, I had a feeling he was the one for us. Not only was the music, lights and speaking excellent, Sean made this a personal experience for everyone involved. I've received multiple compliments, and still receiving more as days go by, on the wonderful job the DJ did. Sean was a big part of our wonderful day and it wouldn't have been the same without him. I received a wonderful message from my mother on how she connected with Sean not just as a business relationship but also personally. I would without a doubt refer him to anyone looking for quality work, professionalism and a great personality to connect with people.

Don was awesome from the first day we met with him. He responded to our questions in a timely manner. Provided music from start to finish for the wedding ceremony and reception including a special song sung by a friend. We had Sean DJ at our wedding and he was the absolute best!! He made the evening extra special by pulling my 6 year old nephew to assist him as his apprentice for a bit. It made my nephew’s night and was such a special touch! He followed our song requests, arrived on time and checked on us multiple times throughout the evening. You can just tell he puts a lot of passion and heart into giving the bride and groom the best experience. Truly a stand up kind of guy. We could not be happier!! Best party ever!!!!
Steve Carrol was our DJ and he made our night amazing! He made all of the intimate moments very special and when it was time to party, he had the whole room on the dance floor. We had many guest tell us it was the best reception they have ever been to. I would absolutely recommend D&J DJ Service. Don made the planning (and rescheduling due to Covid) stress free. Steve was everything we hoped for AND MORE!

Best dance party ever
My sister recommended this company and, specifically, Greg Aloise, after attending a wedding he DJ’d and he did not disappoint! Greg was fantastic at reading the room and mixing the music to keep the energy up and the party going! I’ve been to many weddings with a range of different DJ impressiveness, and Greg has been hands down the best I’ve seen. He is hugely talented and I highly recommend for an epic dance party at any event.

What a great dj!
One of my husband and I's priorities for our wedding was the DJ and Don DID NOT disappoint. We first saw him at a friends wedding and we were impressed. Then we saw him a couple months before our wedding and we were also impressed. We noticed Don did not have a set list of songs he played. He catered to the crowd. He read the people in the room and played music based on everyone there. EVERYONE at our 200 person wedding was dancing. It was incredible. He did an excellent job with our ceremony, our cocktail hour and our reception with music as well as our uplighting. He called to discuss all requests and paperwork and matched exactly what we wanted. I can not recommend Don enough!

June wedding
Like many weddings in 2020 ours was not only postponed but we also moved venues. The owner don worked with us every step of the way. His knowledge and skill with his music is unmatched he really helped shape our day into exactly what we wanted!

DJ Shawn phenomenal
Shawn did a phenomenal job with our wedding from moment he arrived till the end of the occasion. His professionalism match and exceeded what i read from other reviews.
Shawn kept the party going from the jump. Everyone had a good time. I will definitely hire Shawn again for future events.

We had Steve with D&J DJ services and he was fantastic! Interacted the crowd and kept the music going all night. We had the up lighting added which was SO worth it and really makes a difference. He was friendly and enjoyable and even cracked a few jokes that had everyone laughing! Great experience with them overall. Don (the owner) was always available for any questions I had.

Don is amazing
We had Don dj our wedding in April. He was so the best! He kept everyone up and dancing. He was so helpful with a special memorial I had planned out for my parents who are no longer here. We had talked about it, but he pulled it off perfectly! There wasn't a dry eye in the room. The music was well played and mixed together. I couldn't of asked for a better Dj for my special day! Prices were great too!!!

Don was amazing throughout the entire experience. We were unsure if we were even going to get married due to the virus, but Don was there to work with us every step of the way, was flexible, and responsive. The perfect dj for our big day!
A major focus for our wedding was making sure it was an awesome party experience for our guests. My fiancé and I also had a lot of opinions about the music we wanted for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner and Don was not only very accommodating about everything, but he also gave us really good advice about how to strike a balance that would give us the experience we wanted and still give all of our guests a fabulous party too. We told him our only goal for the dance party portion of the evening was to keep the party going and the guests happy - and he couldn’t have done a better job! Friends and family alike danced the night away and raved about the music afterwards. If you want a dj who knows how to create the experience you want and also ensure a great party atmosphere - Don should be top of your list.

To start, Don makes the process super easy by finding the DJ that fits you & your needs best! Instead of you sifting through dozens of DJs he pairs you with the best fit. We had Steve as our wedding DJ and he was absolutely amazing. The dance floor was packed all night long
Just want to be the first to say the Steve was the best. He had the dance floor packed all night long and people who never dance were dancing. My venue owner even said he was the best one she has had there and his choice and location of uplighting was beautiful. She asked for his information so that she could recommend him and your company to future brides. I will be using him and D & J again.

Great DJ!!
We had Greg DJ our wedding and he was great! Our guests were dancing the whole night which was our number one goal. We also went with up-lighting which totally transformed the room and I totally recommend! Greg called a week before the wedding to make sure he had all the correct songs and knew the correct pronunciation for each person in our bridal party. He introduced all of the dances, toasts, and made sure our night went smoothly. He was a great and fun guy to work with and I highly recommend him!! Many of our guests mentioned that we had the best music and really enjoyed our wedding!

Don was the DJ at our wedding on March 30, 2019 and I really can't express enough how amazing he was! He was so helpful in the process of planning and was able to guide us in finding what suited us best. He was thorough, helpful, responds almost immediately to any form of communication, and was able to find (and play!) every song we requested.
Don read the room so well and played the right music for every moment. He made sure we were having a good time and would change up the music depending on the situation and who was dancing.
He handled the speeches and the special dances really well!
Overall, Don was the BEST choice and I couldn't have been happier with his work and how our big day turned out.

Don is an amazing DJ! You would not be disappointed with his services! Upon the first meeting, he demonstrates his skills and expertise by playing music and making suggestions about what types of music works well with each part of the reception: dinner into dancing! He also has a lot of uplighting to create any atmosphere you want during dinner and party with dancing! He's very responsive to your thousands of emails and very communicative! He allows you to dictate the type of reception and party you want and helps you when your brain can no longer think with decision-making! He's a very personable person and exhibits that on the dance floor! During our reception, he was interacting with our family and friends, making it fun experience! I've still gotten plenty of compliments on what a wonderful job Don did and how much fun the party was! I wouldn't look any where else!

"Best DJ Ever"
Don Timlin was the DJ for our wedding at the Patio at Archmere, and he did a fantastic job! I was concerned about the acoustics at the Patio since the walls are all marble. He went out of his way to ensure that the acoustics would be as good as possible on the day of the wedding. When he realized that he (rather than one of his other DJs) had the best equipment for our venue, but was a little out of our price range, he was even flexible about price to make sure his company provided us with the best sound possible. And they did - no one had issues hearing the speeches or music at the reception. But beyond the sound, the actual music was great! He could read the crowd fantastically - everyone from the flower girls, to our friends, to our family and grandparents were up on the dance floor having a great time. Multiple people asked for Don's name and said he was one of the best DJs they had ever heard. If you have friends and family who love to dance, you will not be disappointed with D&J DJs!

He went above and beyond and even collaborated with our cousins so that they could perform during our reception. We cannot recommend him enough to DJ your special day. My husband and I had heard Don at 2 of our friend’s weddings and made the comment to each other “if we ever get married, let’s hire this guy”...we’ll we got married this past Friday and had the pleasure of having Don DJ for us. We couldn’t have been happier! He kept everyone dancing (including my grandfather, which is hard to do) and he actually helped calm my nerves when I get like I was freaking out before walking down the isle. I looked over and there he was with the biggest smile and and a double thumbs up. He had me chuckling and really helped me have a great time. Plus we got the uplighting extra and I requested that he “duplicate a sunset in our tent”. He didn’t disappoint. The entire tent was alive with bright orange glow that changed as the night went on till we had laser lights and pumping bass. I really can’t say enough. Amazing, amazing, amazing. Don’t even look anywhere else.

We hired D&J DJ Service after speaking with Don at the Chesapeake Inn Ballroom bridal open house. Don was great every time we reached out to him - he helped us get through the initial set up of the contract and a general idea of what we wanted. He paired one of his DJ's with us based on how he thought the personalities would fit and what we were looking for as far as music, so it felt very personalized. Extremely professional and easy to work with.
Our actual DJ for the wedding was DJ Steve Carroll, and all I can say is - WOW. What an awesome guy! He called us several days before the wedding to touch base and make sure we were comfortable with everything and that there were no changes to the music line up. He gave us advice on what to do the night of, assured us that he'd make sure the officiant was miked up if needed, and generally just put us at ease in those last few stressful days of tying up loose ends.
He managed the uplighting for the ballroom, had the equipment out and up seamlessly.
During the wedding, he managed the music for the ceremony and reception and was just awesome. He took all of the cues and helped us along while working with the venue coordinator to make sure we were on time and where we were supposed to be. He made sure to check with us on name pronunciations, played along when I (the bride) fumbled the intro and first dance start, and generally was just an all-around awesome guy to have leading the night.
There aren't enough stars to give for this! We are so more than happy with the service we got that we will be recommending D&J and specifically DJ Steve to everyone we come across.

Don is the BEST DJ ever!!! The dance floor was packed the whole night and guests have been talking about the DJ for weeks now. We got married 10/20/2017 at Thousand Acre Farm and Don made the night a night to remember for sure!! From the first time we met Don, we knew he would do an awesome job!! We met with him for an hour or so and he walked us through his DJ style and took the time to understand what we wanted. He is truly the best ever!!!

Don from D & J was the absolute best. He really worked with us to customize our wedding package to make sure it was everything we wanted and more. The day of the wedding, the ballroom up lighting was absolutely perfect and the dance floor was packed all night long. He played all of the perfect songs at the perfect times. If you want to make sure your wedding is a hit and everyone is having a blast, I would definitely recommend Don & the D & J team.

My DJ was with Sean and I can't express how amazing our wedding was this past weekend with Sean. The dance floor was never empty, and when he noticed a song being too dry, he instantly changed it and the party continued. My favorite was when he invited one of my nephews to come up and help him "DJ". A Whole week later and he is still talking about how he was a DJ at my wedding! Sean was amazing, he was contantly making sure Steve and I had what we needed, and even walking around making sure my guest were ok. Thank you so much for picking Sean to be our DJ! exceptional job at our wedding! I can't say enough good things about the
experience we had; the music at our wedding was just absolutely perfect. The song selection was fun and inclusive for everyone and I have gotten dozens of compliments from our friends and family. Sean made every part of the process easy and stress free, and he was so professional and laid back the day of the wedding. Greg was our dj. We met with don in advance and spoke with Greg the weekend of the wedding to square all the details away. He showed up early, got everything right and absolutely killed it. He even called me a few days prior to make sure I was doing alright and helped me through a dilemma not even DJ related! Some folks were weary about me choosing D&J DJ Services for my big day, but I can't see how I could have had a better DJ! DJ Steve is one of many DJ's that Don has in his portfolio. He matches the couple with a DJ that he believes will fit their style, wants, and needs. Don matched us up PERFECTLY. Steve Carroll was an amazing DJ who received many kudos from guests and had us dancing and on schedule all day long. The price was excellent and the forms we filled out ahead of time were extremely helpful for organizing the music selections. A+!

D&J DJ Service was absolutely amazing and I would highly recommend using them for your wedding! Don (the owner of the business) is absolutely fantastic and so easy to work with. When interacting with Don you can easily observe how much he enjoys being a DJ and working with other DJ's to provide you with the best DJ that fits your style as a couple. We were able to listen to Don DJ as well as listen to clips he had from his other DJ's to assist with picking the DJ that worked best for us. My husband and I were paired with Greg and he blew it out of the water. Greg played exactly what we liked and worked really well with our wild and crazy wedding party. We also had uplighting in our reception room and Greg did an amazing job at setting up the lighting appropriately to where it looked very elegant during cocktail hour and dinner service then had the lights going for dancing! Our ceremony was also supposed to be outside until it had to be moved to inside due to rain. There was no problem with the last minute changes regarding our ceremony and Greg pulled everything off smoothly. My husband and I were very pleased with D&J DJ Service and there is not one compliant I could say about them. My husband and I could not have had a better night and we can absolutely thank D&J DJ Service for having our wedding be perfect!

We booked Greg for our wedding on 7/16. Everyone was saying that this was the most fun they've ever been to. As soon as we walk in the room, it's already set up with gorgeous uplighting. The second we finished dinner, he had the whole dance floor packed until the end of the night. We really liked how he would play ~2 min clips of each song, which was the perfect pace to keep the energy going. In addition, he was mixing the music live and creating his own mashups, which we feel really set them apart from other DJ's. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Worth every penny!

I would highly recommend Don Timlin for DJ services! He traveled down the beach to Baywood Greens Country club to create a party of a lifetime! He was there early, setting up, and making sure everything was perfect-- 2pm for a 7pm reception! The dance floor was PACKED the whole night and our guests are still talking about the wedding today! There are professionals and there are all-stars. Don Timlin is an all-star. I'm sure that the other DJ's that work for his company are great, but this guy is BOSS. He completely sold me during our initial phone consultation-- he spoke about the flow and nuances of the reception like a true artist speaks of their beloved craft. There was no question I wanted this guy, and he delivered like I rarely see at wedding receptions. Our floor was PACKED all night and we received endless compliments on our choice of DJ/emcee. You want Don Timlin to do your wedding reception, end of story.

The best DJ service around. Don was excellent in service and meeting our needs for our wedding. Both Don and Steve were able to accommodate a venue change as well with no issues at all!! My biggest concern for the wedding was having a great DJ. Don and Greg from D & J DJ service were absolutely phenomenal. From the communication up to the day of the wedding they were absolutely amazing. Everyone was asking who the DJ was and how awesome they were..they made the wedding everything I had wished for from our ceremony music to the reception they were outstanding all day and night!

Donnie is AMAZING! He did a wonderful job DJing our wedding. We used the lighting package that he offers and I wouldn't have had it any other way. The lighting transformed the night and made for an amazing party. He had everyone dancing and really knows how to feel the crowd!

I originally chose a "Top Rated" DJ from Wedding Wire who ended up being a total jerk. We ripped up our contract just moments before I was ready to rip my hair out. Then I found Don from D&J! I emailed him and within minutes, my phone was ringing. His energy was off the charts, exactly what I knew we needed! We used D&J DJ Services for our wedding on October 25th, 2014. Prior to our wedding, we met with Don to get a run down on how they do weddings. He was extremely nice and explained everything to us so well. Our DJ at the wedding was Greg and he was absolutely amazing. He is a very experienced DJ and knows exactly what he is doing. The music he played went perfectly with our suggested song list that we gave to him prior to our big day! He kept the party going and the dance floor was packed the entire night. D&J DJ services also provided our uplighting. Greg was able to sync the lights to go with the beat of the music to change different colors which was really over the top! Our guests are still continuously telling us how good of a DJ he was and the outstanding job he did. I would definitely recommend using D&J DJ Services to anyone with an upcoming wedding and if Greg is available I would without a doubt request him to DJ your wedding!
