Cute cakes made our wedding cake and an assortment of desserts offered during the reception. The assortment of desserts allowed plenty of options for our guests and satisfied everyone’s palates. The provided platters and stands matched our wedding decor perfectly and displayed the desserts in a favorable way. There were options such as brownies, cupcakes, cookies, macaroons, and fruit that were all equally delicious. Our wedding cake was absolutely perfect and crafted with care. It was exactly what I had asked for and more. The flavors were decadent, and I cannot wait to have the other tier for our anniversary! The cake and dessert tasting that was offered before the wedding day made making flavor decisions easier and was a wonderful sweet treat and teaser for the big day. The store is also super cute and the staff always friendly. -

I cannot say enough good things about Cute Cakes and the incredible wedding cake they created for my special day. The lemon cake and tier of guava cake were absolutely delicious and exceeded all of my expectations.
The flavors were so unique and unexpected, and they added a wonderful touch to our wedding dessert. The care and attention to detail that Cute Cakes put into crafting our cake was truly impressive.
Not only was the cake delicious, but the delivery was seamless. They arrived on time and ensured that the cake was set up perfectly for our reception. It was such a relief to know that everything was taken care of without any stress on our end.

Delicious! A beautiful tasting and even better wedding cake. Our wedding planner, Tara, recommended Cute Cakes to us. At the tasting, we explored flavor combinations with tea and champagne with the groom's parents. It was such fun. They answered all our questions and helped us pick the best options for our wedding reception at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. We loved it so much we canceled our next cake tasting. We chose a 2 tiered round cake which we decorated with flowers from Native Poppy, our florist. And we got a sheet cake for cutting in the back. We highly recommend Cute Cakes for your wedding or special event. -

We worked with Cute Cakes through our venue, and they went beyond expectations! The tasting experience and consultation was seamless and very helpful. The flavors offered were unique and all amazing, really hard to choose, but we were able to do a different flavor for each tier which was really great! We forgot our cake topper and the delivery staff was able to add florals to the top of the cake that looked like it was what we planned all along it was beautiful! We cant wait to come back on anniversaries and get a sweet treat every year! -

Being a caterer, I rarely eat much of my food, cooking and tasting it so much. Instead, I look forward to the time of night where Providing free cake cutting service has its perks. I have tried A LOT of cakes, Some delicious and moist and some not so much, unfortunately.! I’ve tried cute cakes plenty of times and they have NOT disappointed. I feel like a kid every time I see them dropping off some cake to my events. The little desserts they provide are on point as well. Can’t wait to give there cakes another taste. We used Cute Cakes for our wedding this past weekend and can't say enough about how professional the team was, and how delicious the desserts were! We did a small two tiered cake, with a bunch of mini desserts (macarons, brownie bites, cheesecake bites, lemon tarts and truffle pops). Everything tasted incredible, looked so beautiful, and was all moist and fresh! It was all such amazing quality too. Cute Cakes staff is amazing and will check in frequently to see if everything is okay, and is always available and flexible when changes need to be made. They worked with me as well to stay within my budget! I highly recommend them! -

Beautiful Cake
At the tasting Cute Cakes provided a dozen flavors of cake and fillings which made our decision difficult. We decided on marble cake with chocolate mousse filling and vanilla cake with strawberry/raspberry jam filling, both were really good. The cake looked exactly the way I wanted it to. -

Cute Cakes blew me away. We ordered a small cutting cake, donuts, cupcakes, cream puffs, macarons, individual pies, lemon bar bites, and a mini cookie display. Everything was perfectly made and decorated to match our wedding colors. All our friends talked about how delicious the desserts were and I’ll admit, I had seconds. They were also very accommodating to our Vegan and Gluten sensitive guests and provided special dessert items for them. -

Cute Cakes was one of the BEST parts of our wedding day! It started with the tasting, which was by far the most fun part of wedding planning. They had this really cute set up for the tasting that made us feel super safe and special despite planning a wedding during a Pandemic. They were professional and helpful up to wedding day. I'll admit, I'm pretty picky about my wedding cakes. I've had a LOT of not great ones, and very few okay ones. To the point I was just going to go to Costco and buy a bunch of sheet cakes because at least I knew the quality was consistent. But then we decided to check out Cute Cakes to do our wedding cake due diligence and thank goodness we did because Cute Cakes was above and beyond all of our expectations. Things that we were looking for in a wedding cake: 1) whipped cream frosting, not buttercream (very few bakeries do this as it is a seasonal thing). 2) reputable and experienced. 3) tasty cake! First of all, when they give you a wedding cake tasting, you better skip a meal because they are not afraid to load you up on cake and desserts! We felt their tasting fee was very affordable especially considering the amount of samples you get for your buck. Secondly, working with them was such a breeze and they required minimal hand-holding/checking in. They were very quick to understand our vision, never tried to up-sell us, and gave us a quote that was very reasonable and tailored to our needs. Finally, that cake. So. Good. I'm not even a fan of chocolate but their chocolate cake is absolutely divine. We loved their cake options so much we chose 3 different flavors, which for some vendors would be extra cost, but not for Cute Cakes! Everything went off without a hitch on the day of, and we received so many compliments for our cake! In fact, we gave our leftover cake (due to COVID we had less guests than we anticipated so more cake than expected) to one of our friends since we lived across the country and had to fly back. She said she was going to bring it to work and then later told me that she ate the entire thing by herself since it was so good! She didn't even share it with her husband! If that's not a stunning endorsement, I don't know what is. We had a great experience with Cute Cakes and would recommend them to anyone looking for an absolutely delicious cake with great, unobtrusive service. -

If you are looking for a place to order your wedding cake from- look no further! Cute Cakes has the most wonderful selection of flavors. Our tasting was so fun and there were so many combinations to try!
We ended up with a four tiered cake:
- vanilla with strawberry/raspberry jam
- chocolate with white chocolate mocha custard and chocolate ganache
- almond cake with latte macchiato mousse x2
Try the almond cake!! It was our very favorite and definitely not something we were expecting to love. We even got it as our top tier so that we could freeze it for our first anniversary!
Our cake was breathtaking. We got white buttercream frosting and they made it exactly like the picture we showed them. They were so communicative and easy to work with and delivered the cake at the exact time on the dot for our wedding. Our wedding guests were in love with the cake! I had a few guests even tell me they got three pieces just so they could try all the flavors!

The best cakes we have ever had in our lives. No lie - there is no other place to hire for your wedding cake. Cute Cakes is it.
Not only is their design and execution just perfect (you can show them photos of what you are going for and they will nail it, they definitely did for us!) but they are easy to talk to, work with, and again, the best tasting cakes we ever have eaten, and our guests at our wedding agreed.
When we first started the process it was deep in the pandemic lockdown, but they had a perfect hands free tasting box, and we just were blown away. We then were able to mix and match flavors with filling, which was the HARDEST decision because everything tasted so good. We ultimately landed on a three tiered cake. Top layer: Strawberry with White Chocolate ganache, Middle layer: Marble with Latte Mousse, bottom layer Pumpkin! AMAZING. We also did not want any fondant, which was no issue for them, and seriously, it is and was the best.
Taste it for yourself, and then don’t hesitate, you don’t need to look any further, this is where you want your wedding cake made! Thank you so much Cute Cakes for being a part of our special day.

So yummy!!!
We hired cute cakes to do our dessert table for our wedding and we were so happy with how everything looked and tasted! All of our guests were super happy with the bite sized options and everything was eaten by the end of the evening. We chose the virginia apple walnut flavor for our wedding cake and it is the best cake we’ve ever had! -

Better late than never, our wedding was March of 2019.
If you are on the fence on doing a tasting, do yourself a favor and do it. It’s a SWEET little must have experience, especially at CuteCakes. Looking for something that's not on their original list, ask. We requested as part of our tasting, a funfetti cake. Glad they accommodated us because that's what we went with. Funfetti with Vanilla Custard, with the top tier being a Red Velvet Cake. I am no fan of Red Velvet, my husband is, but I thoroughly enjoyed this one. During our tasting we met with McKenna who started drawing and helped us envision our cake. I had a couple ideas with the tiers and she was able to suggest what would look best. We knew after we left we were going to move forward with CuteCakes. From then until the wedding there was only one part of the cake that needed to be settled in regards to some fondant flowers. Communication and responses were quick so I never had to go back in for this. I knew I was in good hands. Day of the wedding our cake turned out how we asked and just as equally amazing was how good the cake was! My sister is picky and commented that it was “The BEST CAKE EVER”. The night was long and I wish I could have enjoyed more of the cake. Thankfully, they are a cafe, as well that we can visit where we not only can get cupcakes in those flavors but were able to order a mini recreation cake for our 1 year. It was executed beautifully and tasted as amazing as all our guests told us. See attached photos.

From the tasting to the actual wedding day everything was great!!! The tasting was so welcoming, they had a table set up for us with a little sign with our names and wedding date which made us feel so much joy and excitement. Our cake tasted absolutely amazing!!! For a lot our special occasions, Cute Cakes have been our go to place for cakes. For our wedding, we entrusted it from them and for sure they’re always excellent. We got a beautiful and very delicious cakes and desserts and all of our guests have been complimenting how yummy everything is, They made our dream wedding cake, with the color of our choice which gray with a very nice gold accent and everyone loved it. Make sure to book them for cake testing too because as they offer a very nice cake testing appointment with champagne which me my husband and our parents enjoyed. Will definitely come back to get more cakes and desserts from them for our next special occasion.

Excellent, delicious beautifully made
From the start of cake tasting the experience was shockingly amazing. Felt so welcomed, very professional and easy to work with. The cake tasting was fun and enjoyable. I chose a two tier cake with 6 dozen cupcakes. 3 different delicious flavors death by chocolate with peanut butter filling, almond cake with latte macchiato filling and Lemon cake with lemon curd. Not a single slice or cupcake was left over. Not a single complaint from the guests or as myself the Bride. I will be purchasing all my future desserts from Cute Cakes -

I simply could not be happier and more grateful for Cute Cakes and especially, Jill. We had one weekend in San Diego to finish our destination wedding details, which included our cake tasting. Our initial vendor was a no call, no show and I was devastated. After a quick Google search, my husband confirmed we could pick up a tasting box so at least we can attempt to get our cake figured out. Upon arrival, we met Jill, not knowing she was the owner. Maybe she saw a panicked bride-to-be, but she was the sweetest towards us and insisted we sit down for a proper tasting. I was thrilled and couldn't believe their generosity and hospitality. All of the flavors we selected were beyond delicious. The cake was unbelievable -- moist, rich in flavor... making our decision for a two tier cake a tough one! And, they had an Oreo filling that had my husband's name all over it! Ultimately, everything worked out the way it should and Cute Cakes and Jill were the answer to our wedding cake dreams. We actually ended up increasing the size of our cakes knowing everyone would want one or maybe two slices! Not a slice was left on our big day!
Since the wedding, we've picked up cakes while in San Diego to celebrate with friends and family for birthdays, too! We can't get enough.

We loved our experience tasting cakes at Cute Cakes. It was the second bakery we tried. The first had cakes that looked great but were dry. Not the case at Cute Cakes, which were as tasty as they looked beautiful. Would definitely recommend! -

My (now) husband and I were able to get a walk-in consultation for our wedding cake, which was incredible. The staff was very professional and helped us narrow down our options until we found something we liked. When we picked up the cake, it was absolutely gorgeous, and our guests loved it, as did we! My husband and I are going to come here every year on our anniversary and get cupcakes the same flavor as our wedding cake. We absolutely loved it! -

My wedding day cake😍
I absolutely loved my wedding cake! We were recommended by our wedding venue over at hornblower. My husband and I made a cake tasting appointment and their flavors were absolutely tasty. We settled on the strawberry raspberry filling with vanilla cake and a chocolate mousse cake for the center of our 3 tier. We didnt get a chance to save a piece of our cake for our anniversary, but we cant wait to order another smaller cake with the same flavors for our 1 year. Cute Cakes was amazing and the perfect choice for our wedding. they were clear, easy to communicate with, punctual, and organized. Plus, our cake was beautiful and insanely delicious. My husband and I ordered our cake from Cute Cakes because of the wide range of flavor options and the reviews we read about them. The positive reviews are totally spot; our cake turned out absolutely perfect! Seriously, we got more positive comments about our cake, both the look and the taste, than any other single aspect of our wedding. Cute Cakes did a phenomenal job creating a cake that looked exactly like the professional books my husband and I use (we were an office romance!) ... some of our guests didn’t believe it was really a cake! Delicious, delivered right on time and really creative. We could not have asked for more! In fact (and yes, I realize this is a little over the top), my husband and I got matching tattoos featuring the cake while we were on our honeymoon. :) -

Cute Cakes is such an amazing bakery. The cakes are delicious and they give you an incredible amount of tastings prior to your event where you can try all of your favorite flavors. We opted for a smaller three tier cake and sheet cake for over 200 guests. We were able to choose three flavors and all the guests loved them! -

My fiancé and I went for a cake tasting with my 2 sisters and mom in January at Cute Cakes and had a great experience. The cake tasting was easy to set-up: the online form allows you to pick out the cake flavors and fillings and then you to set your appointment. You get to try up to 6 different cakes plus 3 extra fillings - the cake samples are definitely big enough to try multiple times and still bring extra people! We worked with McKenna - super sweet and never pushy; she gave us time to try everything by ourselves without feeling pressured. They also have various display cake rounds that emulate the tiers so you can get a better idea of your final cake setup, which is great if you need a visual like me. My fiancé and I went with a 3 tiered design: 2 tiers being vanilla cake with strawberry/raspberry filling and lemon buttercream, and 1 tier being Deep South chocolate cake with chocolate mouse and chocolate ganache - super delicious! So delicious that my mom ordered a cake for my bridal shower (pictured)! We would definitely recommend Cute Cakes and use them again in the future! -

Best tasting wedding cake ever!
I cannot say enough good things about Cute Cakes! Their team is stellar about getting back to you and catering to your personal taste. The tasting and whole design process were so fun. Our cake turned out to be absolutly stunning and most importantly tasted AMAZING.
Our guests kept commenting that it was the best wedding cake they ever had. The servers couldn't even make it out of the kitchen, our guests were chasing them down to get more cake! All in all, we are so happy we decided to go with Cute Cakes. -

I spent a couple months reading and sifting through several different review sites for our cake, until I finally narrowed it down to a few tastings. Cute Cakes was an easy sell for us. This tasting was one of our absolute favorite parts of wedding planning. We sat, chatted and ate cake together. Needless to say, we loved the cake--taste was of primary importance to us. Cute Cakes made the process fun, but also fostered an intimate experience so that this could be such a great part of our wedding planning process. I want to highlight that. We booked with strawberry and vanilla cake with the strawberry/raspberry jam (YUM) for 5 cakes, unstacked and spackled. The process after deciding and tasting was very straightforward. We picked, we signed, we paid. A few weeks before the wedding, they provided us with simple, clear instructions on everything. They were punctual, the cakes were gorgeous, and people are still telling us about how much they liked the cake. Even the venue staff had their share! My husband and I were thrilled when we saw the cakes. I can't say it enough--they were beautiful and DELICIOUS. The process really was a delight from beginning to end, and for that we're so grateful. I gave Cute Cakes many options for our wedding cake. They selected one and did a great job!!! The cake was great (gluten free red velvet)!!! I would highly recommend them. They are great communicators and the cake was exactly what I envisioned!!! The only suggestion I would have is that one day they figure out how to do a dairy free gluten free cake. Thanks for a great cake Cute Cakes!!!! -

Beautiful & Delicious!
Our experience with Cute Cakes was absolutely amazing. Starting with the tasting process, the team made us feel so special and taken care of. The team was completely professional, helpful, and easy to work with. On the wedding day, there were no issues and our cupcakes & small cutting cake exceeded our expectations. We had planned to save some of our cutting cake in the freezer for our 1 year anniversary, but it was just too delicious. We ate it all before leaving for our honeymoon. We highly recommend Cute Cakes. -

Amazing company!!! LOVED working with them. When everything else for our wedding seemed like chaos we were always confident our cake would at least be beautiful. They listened to every detail. We are from AZ so we were nervous working with out of state vendors, but they immediately put us at ease. The cake was stunning. My husband and I had completely different ideas of what the cake should look like including the size. They sat down with us and helped us put together a gorgeous cake that both of us loved. We can't say enough great things about them. Not only was it beautiful but SO delicious. All of our guest tried all 3 flavors it was so good - which is good since we had 25 guests and a cake that fed 78 people. Each layer was super moist and delicious. Our guest raved about the cake. Cute Cakes absolutely fulfilled our desire to have a beautiful AND delicious cake- they even accommodated us by providing us a flavor (almond cake with almond buttercream YUM) that wasn’t on their flavor list (so delicious it is now)! They also provided the custom Groom’s Cake which was a HUGE hit (Star Trek Borg cube) - there’s nothing they can’t do! 😃 -

The entire experience was so easy - from reaching out on Wedding Wire, to sharing what I had imagined for my cake, to tasting, ordering, adjusting my order, set up and delivery. We went to the Escondido branch which is adorable, and had an entire section roped off for the tasting for my parents and I. We were given space and time to go through and critique each flavor - though they were all delicious, Virginia Apple Walnut stole our hearts from the first bite. They were helpful with my indecisiveness on how big and how much cake to get for our big wedding, and eventually we went with the 4 tier, plain white cake and had my coordinator and her team decorate it. On the day, it looked beautiful, and tasted even better! We luckily had the whole top tier to take home, and devoured it the next day as well, and it was just as moist as it was the day before. I wish I could sign up for a yearly cake subscription and have them send me a cupcake of our wedding cake every year on our anniversary, because we definitely would do that! Thank you again, Cute Cakes, for being amazing! We will definitely be back! -

Our cake turned out how we wanted it to look like and making It taste just as delicious! We had a 5 tier cake, alternating in sizes, just check out the pic! Our guests liked our pick of chocolate marble and Apple walnut with cream cheese buttercream... It was perfect! Thank you so much for making it our dream cake! We loved it and we highly recommend this place!

The cake tasting and consultation went great. Our cake was beautiful, tasted delicious and everyone loved it! I would recommend using Cute Cakes for your wedding day. They delivered the cake on time, in perfect condition, and it was exactly what I had envisioned.
If anyone is wondering, we ordered vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream on the outside and the inside layers were whipped cream with fresh strawberries. It was VERY tasty. -

I am extremely allergic to milk and anything dairy, so I was very nervous and unsure if I could get a wedding cake that would accomodate that. However, Cute Cakes did an amazing job! They were so helpful with everything from organizing the cake tasting (with the vegan/dairy free cake too), to having the top tier separate from the rest of the cake due to my allergy. It was SO good and so were all the other flavors we chose for the rest of the cake as well. Our guests loved the cake and loved the different flavors we had on each tier. Sophia Sent on 04/25/2017My husband and I used Cute Cakes for our wedding cake, and they were truly phenomenal! We originally got a tasting with them because they were suggested by our venue, and the tasting was great. They were attentive, sweet, and made the experience very special.
When we had an unexpected change of venue 5 months out from our wedding date, Cute Cakes was extremely accommodating and ensured us that it wouldn't be a problem at all. On the day of our wedding everything was delivered on time and exactly how we had specified (we got a small cake to cut, and a large sheet cake for the guests), and even the sheet cake looked beautiful! Our guests LOVED the cake (as did we!), and we definitely plan on using them on future events as well.
