Tara’s creations are so amazing!
Tara is such a talented artist with her designs as well as the taste of her awesome cakes. We have had the privileged to experience the joy of indulging in her creations on multiple occasions. Her precision to details with our cake orders are unmatched by others in her field locally. We tend to look for reasons to order a special cake from Tara now. Her cakes are also not so overly sweet which we love. She uses the finest ingredients and it comes across in the taste of her high quality cakes. Looking forward to her next creation for us. -

Beautiful wedding cake!
Tara is definitely my family’s first point of contact when ordering a special occasion cake. She made a cake for my sister’s wedding, and recently, my wedding! Tara is so friendly and responsive. Not only are her cakes so beautiful, but they are also very delicious! My husband and I saved the top tier cake in the freezer to eat on our one year anniversary, and I have been resisting the urge to take it out and just eating it. 😋 -

5 tiered wedding cake
Tara was so nice and flexible working with. I showed her designs of a few cakes and she helped me walk through on which elements of each design we could put together to create a unique look for our wedding. She sent in pictures of each elements she was going to buy and was patient to explain how each elements would be used. We were texting until late 10pm to finalize the design as i placed my order a bit late and she was still very kind and accommodating. Then she was further flexible to allow me a few extra days to discuss the design with my husband before we make payments.
Now let's talk about actual cake flavor.....the white chocolate cake with raspberry was an absolute delight so yumm!! I also had a tier with chocolate cake and caramel and red velvet. Everything was SOOO good and our guests really loved it too.
All this to say, Tara is the bomb!! Oh and we also used her for my bridal shower cake too lol...this is how much i loved her cake ❤️❤️❤️ -

From beginning to end, our experience working with Tara was excellent! Her cake tasting boxes were delicious, and such a fun experience for my husband and I to enjoy before our wedding day. Look no further!
Tara was wonderful from start to finish! We found her looking on Instagram and couldn’t be happier! We picked up a classic tasting box from her home and then decided on a naked, 2 tiered cake and some mini cupcakes. There was an easy to follow order form and she is super responsive to any questions. I really wanted our dog to be a part of the cake, but also wanted to incorporate our favorite hockey team since we had a hockey theme though out our big day and she made both happen! She helped guide me on what size figurine to order (from Etsy) based on the size of the cakes and everything turned out perfectly. She delivered the cake to our venue and added the figurine and florals left by our florist and that was that! So easy and hassle free. We actually forgot to put out the mini cupcakes so my husband and I got to enjoy them with close family at the end of the night. :) I highly recommend going through Tara, once you’ve booked with her, it’s truly one less stressor off your list! -

Beautiful, delicious, and reasonably priced cakes! 10/10
If you are looking for a cake, run to Tara before she books up!! Tara was absolutely wonderful to work with! Everything about my experience with her was 10/10.
When I first started looking at cakes I was extremely defeated by how much it was going to cost but then I found Tara. I went into my conversation expecting I’d have to cut some layers or other areas I wanted. When talking to her about my vision she gave me feedback on more cost effective ways to go about things so we could still achieve what I wanted. I felt like she truly wanted to help me with my vision, even if that meant less money for her. When I saw the cake at the wedding it was EXACTLY what I had envisioned and all for 1/3 of the price I was being quoted at some other cake shops that were being promoted in the wedding magazines in Sacramento.
Not only are her cakes reasonably priced and beautiful but they are also extremely delicious. I had multiple people come up to me at my wedding and even reach out to me afterwards about where I got the cake because it was so good. I had multiple people even tell me it was the best cake they had ever had at a wedding! I got the chocolate, vanilla, and funfetti flavors (but she has many more delicious ones as well)! I would 10000% recommend Tara to anyone looking for a cake. -

Tara was amazing from the get-go. We had a specific design that my (now) husband created and she brought it to life, it was everything and more than we imagined. She was open and excited for a new challenge. Speaking on the cake itself, i'm not lying when I say this was the best cake i've had, ever...and I use to work in a bakery. The flavors were amazing - we chose a white chocolate mud layer and chocolate layer, both with strawberry buttercream, which was bursting with *real* strawberry flavor. It was truly amazing! She offers tasting boxes every so often (follow her on Instagram for details), a great way to decide which flavors to go with. We ended up mixing and matching our flavors, which she was open to. Honestly, 10 stars, highly, highly recommend her! I can't wait to order a cake for our anniversary each year! -

Amazing experience beginning to end with Tara. I contacted her very last minute before our wedding because our previous baker fell through unexpectedly. She was so accommodating and took our cake orders. Due to it being so close to our wedding date (2 weeks) I was unable to do a tasting before hand. I didn’t see the cakes until our reception on our wedding day and she did not disappoint whatsoever! The cakes were so well made! Tasted so delicious! We had our wedding cake and a smash cake for our daughter who shared her 1st birthday with our wedding day. I am so grateful that she made us the most beautiful cakes, especially on such short notice. 10/10 recommended!! -

Amazing cake and service
Tara was amazing to work with. After requesting cake tastings from a few different bakers, we ultimately ended up going with Tara. Her process of ordering was easy as we simply gave her a picture of a previous design that she made with the flavors we desired. The day of our wedding, Tara delivered our cake on time and exactly how we envisioned it. The cake was amazing in appearance and taste. Our guests gave many complements with my wife and I being excited to have some left over for the next day. Thank you Tara for everything. I highly recommended. -

Amazing!!!
Tara is super nice and very responsive. I found her on Instagram while I was looking at cake ideas for my wedding and when I emailed her I was so happy that she quickly responded and she also was having her cake sampler requests. From the moment I tried her samplers I knew I wanted to book with her right away! Her cakes are literally amazing and the icing is perfect! I definitely recommend the champagne cake with strawberry buttercream and classic vanilla frosting. Aside from how good the cake was, she really executed my wedding cake vision. I’m honestly so glad I booked with her to make my wedding cake. Thank you Tara you’re amazing!! 10/10 would definitely recommend! -

Tara is a spectacular artist and baker and absolute professional
Custom Cakes by Tara made my cake for my wedding and it was not only beautiful, but moist and delicious! Tara was very easy to work with and she is very responsive. Her pricing is super reasonable, especially for what you get. Prior to the pandemic, I originally had a larger guest count, however I had a tight cake budget and I didn’t want a huge cake. Fortunately, she provides different alternatives that you can combine with your cake that allows you to work within your budget and needs. Instead of ordering a huge cake, I was able to order a 2 tiered cake and sheet cake on the side for serving, which allowed me to stay within my budget. When my wedding had to get postponed (twice) she was very responsive, gracious, patient and accommodating to changes I needed to make due to covid and smaller guest count. I provided her with only two cake inspiration photos of the texture and style esthetic I wanted and she was able to take the ideas from just the two photos, make it her own, and create a cake design that was absolutely perfect and exactly what I was looking for. I wanted fresh flowers on my cake, and she contacted my florist on her own and communicated with my florist prior to and the day of my wedding to make sure it happened flawlessly. Tara is a spectacular artist and an absolute professional . I would 100% recommend her! -

Amazing Experience
Tara was an amazing vendor for our wedding! Not only was the cake beautiful to look at tasted delicious, but she was amazing to work with. Her process from beginning to end was quick, easy, and hassle free. She was a great professional and communicator who was always available to answer questions. Her cake tasting method was one of my favorite things. We did not live in the area, so it was nice for us to go pick up the multiple cakes for tasting, and take them back to our whole family to help us decide which flavors to get.
On our wedding day, Tara was able to come and set up the cake stand. She did it so quick and quietly that we didn’t even know she was there!
She is definitely a vendor I’d use again and recommend to others! -

My husband and I wanted a small sweetheart cake to cut in front of our wedding guests and have an identically flavored sheet cake to be served to our guests. Tara was very accommodating and provided pricing for both a single tier cake sweetheart cake and the sheet cake. She also provided a list of many flavor options. She also made two small cakes for us to take home and sample for a very reasonable price. We went with lemon cake (we had a lemon themed wedding) with raspberry preserve filling and whipped vanilla buttercream frosting. IT WAS THE MOST DELICIOUS CAKE WE’VE EVER HAD! Not only did we think so but our guests did too. Many guests asked about our cake after our wedding. Tara delivered our cakes to our venue in a timely and professional manner. We asked for a simple and sweet design and she delivered, it was perfect!
Thank you Tara for making our wedding cake one to remember!
I am now a repeat customer of Tara’s and have ordered several items from her since our wedding! -

What an amazing cake!
Tara was so flexible with us. Our dates had changed not once, not twice but for a third time! We stayed in touch. Even when our guest count changed, she had a game plan that still worked out with our vision of cake. Locations changed and she was still on board. She made it stress free. We didn’t have to look for another baker due to her just being available and willing to still be able to make it, despite the ups and downs with Covid. We loved it, everyone enjoyed eating it. It was a huge statement to our decor & we look forward to doing business with her in the future! Thank you again Tara! -

Gorgeous cake and Delicious!
Our cake could not have been more perfect!
It was the exact design we wanted and the flavors were delicious. Our guests all said it was the most beautiful cake and they also thought it was delicious. Tara was great at communicating. From the cake tasting experience, to being flexible on the delivery (we had to change the venue a week prior due to stay at home order). Everything went flawlessly. -
