Hotel Du Pont location

I used Currie at the Hotel Du Pont location and they were AMAZING! The staff were on time and professional. Allie did my bridal hair and while I was already happy with the trial, she somehow made it even BETTER the day of (how?!?!). She even came up to the bridal suite early to start my hair and ensure we ran on time! Amber is a goddess and does the BEST makeup, my bridesmaids could not stop raving about her. Great team to work with, and FANTASTIC communication (probably the best of all my vendors).

Excellent hair and makeup

I have been going to Currie for years. Jen Madonna was excellent. Note : call to schedule your hair and makeup trial. Doing it online is a bit tricky - this is not included in the cost of the day - of hair and makeup.

Jen was super responsive and answered/addressed all concerns and questions I had throughout the process. She came with a mini salon set up which had everything she needed! She was so friendly and pleasant. Would absolutely recommend her services and Currie

Best Hairstylists and Make-up Artists in the area

Currie went exceed my expectations. They were able to get myself and the bridal party in and out quickly while providing superior hair and make-up. Shoutout to Susan for my hair and Jess for my make-up.

I was so excited to book Jess Moss for wedding party and bridal makeup!! Her reputation precedes itself; we truly couldn’t have found a better artist to bring out all the inner and outer beauty in my girls and me! Thank you for making us our best and brightest on our best day ever!!

My bridal party and I had our hair and make-up done at the Currie location in Kennett Square. They did a fantastic job! All of the staff there are amazing so you really can't go wrong. I wasn't entirely sure exactly what I wanted to do with my hair, but my stylist was able to whip up something dreamy - a low, loose wavy bun sort of thing that was exactly what I needed. My mom's make-up and hair job was probably the talk of the night - she looked fabulous! They really can work with any age group/hair type. Definitely would recommend.

Currie did an amazing job on my bridal party's hair and makeup. So many people asked who did my hair and makeup and the groom's family from New Jersey wants to come back! Chelsea Walls made me look flawless especially on a day I didn't get much sleep and my hair by Christine lasted throughout the evening although remained to look soft and touchable. Thank you ladies!

I worked with Carmella Proto and she made me look absolutely stunning!!! I had such a wonderful time working with her and hearing her ideas and inspriation from my wedding theme and colors. She was extremely professional, but still fun and easy to be around. The day of my girls had a great time with her too and she made them look gorgeous!! I gave her absolute creative freedom of my makeup. I am very confident in her ability and her talent. I loved my makeup and I didn't feel like I had it caked on my face, since I normally don't wear makeup. My pictures came out beautifully and my makeup stayed on all day. I loved everything about my makeup and was so thankful for her creative ability. I would highly reccommend Carmella Proto!!

I used a makeup artist named Jess and she was AMAZING. She did the makeup for 8 women for my wedding and every one of them LOVED her work. I never wear makeup and often feel uncomfortable when I do. Her work was very elegant and natural. I am so happy that we chose her to do this.
I would DEFINITELY recommend her to friends.

I got my hair done here for my wedding and it ended up being beautiful. However, the receptionist were beyond clueless and I ended up having to speak with the manager since they placed me with the wrong girl--several times over for my trial.

I had my hair and makeup done at Currie as did all of my bridesmaids and my now mother in law. All of the stylists did a great job and the timing and scheduling of all 7 of us was flawless. I would highly recommend them.

My bridal party, moms, and I went to Curries the morning of my wedding. They gave us a room to bring in breakfast and drinks. I got my hair and makeup done here. My hair was fantastic and exactly what I wanted. I do not normally wear makeup, but the makeup artist did a wonderful job. The makeup looked so natural! I was able to buy the lipstick and gloss they used on me so I had it for the rest of the day! It was a great experience.

I went to Currie in Glen Mills, PA for my wedding hair and makeup, also bringing my mother and eight bridesmaids to get styled first thing in the morning. Kelly and Chris did a wonderful job with my hair and makeup. My only complaint was that I asked to get there half an hour early and not all of the stylists were there on time (they said they expected us to be late), but their work was so good that it was quickly forgiven. The salon is clean and priced on par with other salons in the area.

We went to Currie in Glen Mills, PA for mani/pedis the day prior to our wedding and for hair on my wedding day. They do an excellent job on nails and the prices are typical for these services. When it came to hair, however, the prices were outrageous for the bridal party members. Everyone's hair looked very nice, but some of the updos were not that complex and could have been done at home. They were charging between $80 and $100 for bridesmaids! We realized this at my hair trial, but it was too late to change where we were going because we were too close to the wedding date. I actually hated my hair at the trial - I had showed the stylist a picture and she did something that looked completely different. I ended up having my cousin do my hair at my house and I loved it.

They also changed a couple of our appointments around without contacting me. We were trying to have everyone go in at the same time and it ended up being broken up due to the changes. My advice is to go to a salon you have been to numerous times and make sure you ask about pricing before booking. Also, do not keep a hair style if you don't like it - it is going to be in all of your pictures!

I brought in what I wanted my hair to look like, and we did a trial run 2 weeks prior to my wedding. It was exactly how I wanted it. They also did my make-up, which at the time I thought looked heavy, but it made me look fabulous in my pictures. It is a beautiful salon and they do an amazing job.
